Postmatch Kerry and Kevin arrive to save David and the Freebirds quickly leave the ring (80) Classic! I am thinking of doing an angle on one of my World Class shows (in the WOTI VI mod) where the Von Erich brothers get locked in their locker room while The Freebirds decimate one of the other brothers in the ring. Fritz Von Erich has to get bolt cutters to free his sons and send them to the ring, to the resuce!

Kevin vs. Bundy is a Texas Deathmatch after the non-finish they had 2 months earlier. Just forgot to mention it in the last show recap

Terry Funk def. Tully Blanchard in 13:30 (69)
Postmatch Funk insults Blanchard and his family, saying that Texas is dominated by the Funks and the von Erichs. Funk also insults Ric Flair, for not having guts to defend the NWA World Title against him in Texas, but the champion Destroyer shows up in the ring! Destroyer says that he is the champion, not Flair or Funk, and he's ready for any challenge! (75)

Postmatch Kerry and David celebrate with the belts! (80)
Show notes
- My best show so far! And it wasn't an A Star Wars, so even better. 18000+ people in attendance, 2000 more compared to last month as the main event was really appealing and the von Erichs vs. Freebirds feud is on fire
- David, Kerry and Hayes have been praised for their great performances. The crowd was really hot for the main event
- Funk's promo on Blanchard came from the heat the Tully has for picking SWCW over us. Destroyer wasn't booked originally, but he was available and so I had him to come over and play a part in this angle as Flair was booked somewhere else. Destroyer also defeated Matt Borne in a dark match
- Kevin vs. Bundy is now building to a blowoff and it didn't deliver as Kevin suffered a joint separation, but he's not gonna miss any dates because of this
- The fans appreciated the way the card was built, as the Adams and Rich match was a good breath of fresh air before the two main events
- The announcers did a great job during the X/Markus segment, enhancing the feud
- Again, Spoiler was not happy about losing to Parsons and moaned a lot. I'm calling him into my office in a few days...
- The opener was a nice surprise and Garvin got more over with the crowd after punching Sherri

You had three very good matches and it paid off. The show was pretty good, indeed. I thought Bundy was the champion, but I'm probably feeling the effects of my zombie week We'll see a more definitive conclusion to his and Kevin's feud soon, I think!

March 23rd - March 25th
- Not much to report here, we are ready for the next TV show after Star Wars. I do like having a big show on Monday, as no other promotion does
- The Spoiler has been released the day after Star Wars, as he was really toxic backstage and complained about everything. Iceman Parsons and a few others were really relieved after my decision, which is a shame as he has a lot of history in this territory
- Ricky Morton has just dropped the SWCW Tag Titles, as he's ready to leave them in a few weeks
- Both Terry Gordy and Tommy Rich asked for pay rises and they both got it, as it were quite acceptable requests. Gordy is a key player of my money feud and still makes only $150 per show, which is quite good for me
- There's a new clique backstage: Kevin von Erich, Kerry von Erich and Chris Adams. I don't have a problem with it, I'm just a bit curious about why David is not a part of it. I had Adams tagging with the von Erichs and they will hopefully improve his behaviour, as his track record has been terrible recently
World Class Championship Wrestling TV Odessa, TX Attendance: 4781 TV rating: 0.35 Show rating: 69
Video from post Star Wars, with Freebirds still in the ring and mad about the main event result. Freebirds want the von Eirichs three versus three and dare Fritz to book the match finally (80)
Chris Adams, Tommy Rich & Ricky Morton def. Bobby Eaton, Magic Dragon & Checkmate (w/ Armand Hussein) by DQ in 8:02 when hell breaks loose (50)
Marc Lowrance is at the hospital, where Terry Taylor is really upset about what happened to Sherri. Taylor vows revenge and threatens Jimmy Garvin (49)
Iceman Parsons def. Bill Irwin in 6:43 (54)
At ringisde Bill Mercer interviews Mr. X and José Lothario. X is sad because Gran Markus tried to unmask him, and José promises that they will show him a lesson (54)
WCCW TV Title: King Kong Bundy (w/ Skandor Akbar) def. Al Madril (c) in 4:43. The commentators say that Great Kabuki is still in Japan and Madril had to defend the belt at least once in March (51)
Postmatch Akbar cuts a promo on Kevin von Erich, saying that Bundy retires the TV Title and that he will do the same with the American Title once he will win it from Kevin, mocking him for his injury (71)
Kerry von Erich (w/ David von Erich) def. Tully Blanchard in 11:40 (70)
Bill Mercer and Gary Hart call Terry Funk over the phone and he picks up. They ask about his statements against NWA, Ric Flair and The Destroyer as the whole wrestling world is talking about it... Funk refuses to comment on it, as he will do it live in the ring next Thursday! (81)
Show notes
- The shows have been quite good lately, my popularity in Mid-South is increasing. The other states are slowly picking up too, I will keep an eye on any local TV that is interested in carrying my shows in other regions
- The first and last segment kept the crowd quite hot and I needed them as storylines progressions from the last Star Wars
- Kerry vs. Tully was quite good. I got Tully for another couple of weeks and I will probably use him to put over my main guys, he's been nothing but professional despite all this SWCW drama
- The TV Title won't come back anytime soon. I felt like I had too many belts anyway and the Madril vs. Kabuki feud has been really flat. I also considered unifying the American and Texas titles with Kevin vs. Bundy, but both belts have a lot of history and heritage, so I opted to get rid of the TV Title instead
- Mr. X is getting over and might have a gold touch, usually José Lothario's segments are not that good
- Magic Dragon seemed off in the opener, I will keep an eye on his performances. I have added quite a few wrestlers to the original roster so far and I want everyone to peform well or they can go

March 25th - April 4th
- The NWA has once again shocked me, as the unknown Richard Charland has won the World Title against Destroyer at a C show in Stampede Wrestling in Canada. I really don't know what to say. It also kind of ruined my plans, but I know not to rely too much on them unfortunately and so I have a different solution to my idea
- March is in the books and he have made $195k last month. I started with $500k and now I have more than 1 million after just 3 months, so things are going quite well
- I used some of those money to get more seats into the Dallas arena. Due to the shows getting popular and the prices being so convenient, I can now estimate 5000+ fans per show on an arena that has 4500 sits. I now have 5200 seats, let's see how it goes
- The SWCW has declared war on me! I think that this won't be good for them, as this week they have already lost their TV deal. Joe Blanchard is losing more than a million as we speak, I got in touch to ask about a possible takeover and he strongly refused. Don't know what's up with him, but I'm quietly letting Tully go even though his deal only expires in a couple of weeks
- Ric Flair and Harley Race tore the house at a MACW show this week, they had a 86 rating
- Angelo Poffo will retire in 3 months from in ring competitions. His ICW is still doing very little business
World Class Championship Wrestling TV 04.04.1983 Dallas, TX Attendance: 5200 (SELL OUT) TV rating: 0.40 Show rating: 75
Another footage from the end of the latest Star Wars shows up Fritz von Erich confronting the Freebirds after their insults. Fritz refuses to sign a 3 vs. 3 against the von Erichs and Terry Gordy is quite enraged, so Fritz says that Gordy is also out of the tag titles rematch and, at Spring Star Wars, Kevin and Kerry will face Hayes and Roberts instead! (68)
Jimmy Garvin (w/ Sunshine) def. Ricky Morton in 10:19 when Bobby Eaton gets to ringside and steals Morton's jacket. The announcers have no update about Terry Taylor and Sherri (57)
At ringside Marc Lowrance interviews Chris Adams and Tommy Rich, joined by Iceman Parsons. Parsons is happy to join their battle against Armand Hussein and his ugly cronies (61)
Gran Markus (w/ Samu and Skandor Akbar) def. Matt Borne in 5:45 (50)
Postmatch Mr. X arrives in the aisle to go to the ring, but he's stopped by José Lothario, who reminds him what they wanted to do to his mask and drags X away (48)
The Great Kabuki (w/ Armand Hussein) def. Al Madril in 6:40 (54)
Taped King Kong Bundy promo on Kevin von Erich, saying that Kevin is still licking his wounds while he won another title last week. Akbar got him a rematch for the American Title and this time there will be a winner, as it will be a cage match and Kevin won't have a way out! (70)
David von Erich def. Buddy Roberts in 11:16 by DQ when The Freebirds interfere (80)
Postmatch Kerry tries to save his brother, but they still struggle against three men until Terry Funk arrives to clear the ring! Funk says that he loves Texas and respects the Von Erichs, even though him and Dory Jr want a rematch from the January loss. However, he doesn't respect The Freebirds for their gang mentality... to stop big Gordy to interfere at Star Wars, he's happy to face him one on one as he wants competition! Last but not least, he ironically says that Ric Flair is not that busy anymore since losing the NWA World Title and he challenged him 4 months ago to come Texas and face him, that invite is still open! (83)
Show notes
- This was my best TV rating, my best show rating and a sell out. Not bad at all
- The crowd LOVES Terry and they were so into his promo, I am happy I gave him all the time he needed and no script whatsoever
- The main event was also well received, David is by far my best performer this year and he shines every time he's in the ring
- I can't say the same for Madril vs. Kabuki, Madril had a low morale and didn't do much. I'm not surprised, but I knew it already. At least the feud is now over and Kabuki can move on
- Parsons had good chemistry with Rich and Adams
- Kevin von Erich and Terry Taylor have been kept out of the show to sell Kevin and Sherri's injuries, even though Kevin has healed and the second one is just a work
WCCW Spring Star Wars 22.04.1983 - WCCW American Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match: Kevin von Erich (c) vs. King Kong Bundy - WCCW American Tag Team Titles: Kerry von Erich & David von Erich (c) vs. Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts - Terry Funk vs. Terry Gordy

April 4th - April 11th
- I have signed a really hot commodity and I can't wait for him to start. He is getting really over in a company that is not really far from me and so my fans will be familiar with him. I needed a heel to replace Tully Blanchard and this one should be even better!
- I have also signed The Fantastics, two young workers that I took away from SWCW. They are so young and incredibly talented. As of now, all my main eventers are holding the belts in a sort of "superteams" mindset, but I will need to phase away from this and create a regular tag division soon
- I had to clear the roster and asked Frank Dusek to only be a road agent from now on. Dusek is 42 and really useful in the back, but not really over in the ring, I'm happy for him to stick around and maybe wrestle here and there if necessary
- I also had to get rid of Johnny Mantell, as I didn't see much in him and he was lazy in all of his dark matches so far. Ken Mantell isn't happy about it, but he was the next on my list, so he's gone too now
- With the following changes in mind, I now got 14 babyfaces and 15 heels on my main roster. I am in negotiations with another babyface and this will make it 30. I will keep on using local talents for TV squashes and dark matches, but this will be my core roster and I want at least 2/3 competitive matches per show, so unless you're a major star you will take a pin on TV if needed and so having a good roster won't hurt me. I plan on keeping most of this wrestlers, plus special guests and jobbers, for the rest of the year and then we will see of course
- Michael Hayes has asked for a raise and now he makes around $650 per show
- Great Kabuki has injured his heel and won't be able to wrestle this week
- Sunshine bought drinks to the whole locker room, which improved the already high morale
World Class Championship Wrestling 11.04.1983 Beaumont, TX Attendance: 5442 TV rating: 0.38 Show rating: 70
Video promo of Kevin von Erich, who answers King Kong Bundy's cage match challenge. Kevin says he's used to dojos and fights, so he will be happy to finish this once and for all in the cage with the giant (71)
WCCW Six Men Tag Team Titles: The Fabulous Freebirds (c) def. Iceman Parsons, Tommy Rich & Chris Adams in 10:10 when Gordy pins Parsons. During the match, Great Kabuki, Checkmate and Magic Dragon are escorted at ringside by Armand Hussein and argue with the babyfaces (56)
Postmatch The Freebirds try to get a microphone, but security arrives to escort them out of the arena and avoid more chaos. Hayes, when passing next to a camera, tells Fritz von Erich to just give them his precious boys in the ring (73)
Ricky Morton def. Brian Adias in 5:50 (52)
Postmatch Marc Lowrance interviews Morton, who has no idea of why Bobby Eaton is picking on him, maybe because they have a similar style but fans love him instead. Lowrance informs Morton that him vs. Eaton will happen at Spring Star Wars and Morton is happy to hear that (42)
Non Title Match: Kerry von Erich & David von Erich def. Samu & Gran Markus (w/ Skandor Akbar) in 7:13 when Kerry submits Samu (69)
Taped promo of José Lothario asking Fritz von Erich that he will be the one to face Gran Markus at Star Wars to defend his friend Mr. X, as his mask was in danger last time. Fritz accepts, but X doesn't seem happy (52)
Terry Funk def. Jimmy Garvin (w/ Sunshine) in 11:20 (70)
Postmatch Funk gets a microphone, but Garvin tries to hit him from behind. Funk turns and Garvin stops, then stalling because caught, but Terry Talor arrives from behind and piledrives Jimmy Garvin! Taylor seems out of himself due to the anger, still not Sherri by his side, and Funk applauds Taylor before leaving the ring! (77)
Show notes
- Another good event and I am quite satisfied. I kept Funk in the segment with Garvin and Taylor to enhance their storyline and the crowd was happy to see Taylor, but also Garvin got a good boost from wrestling Funk even though he lost of course. This worked out pretty well I think
- I booked a venue in Beaumont as there were 5400 fans estimated for the show, even though I just upgraded Dallas to 5200 seats. I will again invest on the Dallas arena to get even more seats in it and make it my hotbed
- Kerry and David have really good chemistry, as a surprise to nobody at this point
- Morton is getting good at his gimmick, but his promo was a bit shaky, I will script him next time and make sure that Gary Hart produces his interviews as he's my go to guy for things like this
- At the contrary, Michael Hayes was incredible in improvising in the segment early in the show. Fritz is part of the feud of course, so his presence enhances the rivalry with his family and we are still hyping their first 3 vs 3
- Funk is now using the piledriver as a finisher and it has a lot of impact, it gave his match a boost and it will hopefully will for long
WCCW Spring Star Wars 22.04.1983 - WCCW American Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match: Kevin von Erich (c) vs. King Kong Bundy - WCCW American Tag Team Titles: Kerry von Erich & David von Erich (c) vs. Michael Hayes & Buddy Roberts - Terry Gordy vs. Terry Funk - Bobby Eaton vs. Ricky Morton - José Lothario vs. Gran Markus
