We had 2 pre show bouts as I had Hayabusa vs Fire Cat which was extremely good considering neither man has a pop of over 25. Obviously with the injury to Dean Malenko it's left the top end of the junior division quite thin so I need to rocket push Ultimo Dragon & Hayabusa up there to fill the gap. We also had a 6 man to showcase some of the young lion talent not called Jun Akiyama or Yuji Nagata. I had Minoru Tanaka who is already no longer a "young lion" as he has over 25 experience team up with the Inoues and he shockingly got a 51 which was just behind Mighty Inoue. On the other side I had Asako & Omori team up with Rusher Kimura and it was a decent match for what it was.

Naoki Sano was the person I brought over from NJPW. He has a solid 62 pop and is a very dependable in ring talent. Like I said I have to rocket push Ultimo & Hayabusa in order to fill the gap left by Dean Malenko's leg break. It was a solid match up that saw Hayabusa get the win in 20:25 with an Asai DDT. I'm unsure about hotshotting Ultimo straight to the title but it's certainly looking like a better option after every match especially after this out did the Jr title match.

Obviously I said I wanted to use Johnny Ace as little as possible due to him being a shitbag irl however with 58 pop I figured the best way to use him is like a gatekeeper to the younger talent as I'm gonna have him mainly compete against young lions or heavyweights I plan on pushing and while I can't job him out to the young lions I'll just use up all his pop and eventually release him.

So I had a tag match between 4 big gaijin names next. Obviously Stan Hansen is the biggest gaijin name in Japan let alone AJPW but I want to transition that into Steve Williams as I feel that hes probably the biggest gaijin talent available to me and I'm also a huge fan of Dr. Death's work so he's going to be hitting the main event scene quite soon thats why I gave him a pinfall victory over Stan Hansen. I'm unsure whether to have Williams & Albright team up in the tag league or to stick with the Miracle Violence Connection but I'll figure it out.

Andre The Giant's final match for AJPW. He got a submission victory over Kimala via submission (yes a near death Andre putting a bearhug on Kimala because that would be such a good spot /s) Obviously Andre has a lot of pop with him being at about 80-ish pop but he barely got a 30 in this match and I have no willingness to watch him wrestle past this point.

Terry Gordy then beat young boy Jun in 13:49. Obviously Terry Gordy fell into bad health very quickly irl but I wanna make the use of him before he enters Andre territory by not being able to give a performance above 40. Jun was pushed extremely hard atp irl. Iirc he was supposed to be in the 93 champion carnival but was injured before he could wrestle a match. While I can't replicate his irl push due to how the young lion system works I still want to put him against some big names so that when he graduates from being a young lion I can rocket push him then and it wont be a problem.

Next was Tsuruta-Gun members Masanobu Fuchi and Yoshinari Ogawa going at it for the AJPW World Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Again this would have been Fuchi vs Malenko had the leg break not happened and I wouldve likely put it at the semi main event spot. However what happened happened so Fuchi now has to hold the title for a little while longer. It only got a 62 as neither Fuchi or Ogawa have the stamina to go more than 15 minutes for some reason. I'll probably edit that if I feel it's necessary but for now it's fine. That put's Fuchi's reign at 1,021 days with 13 title defences.

I know the right move was probably to have the British Bruisers win the all asia tag titles however I'd rather I didnt do that since I do not trust Dynamite Kid to be a champion of any kind. I think he was great in the 80s and he doesn't get the credit he deserves but at this point he was really out of it. Just high as a kite on painkillers all the time and was in no way the same competitor he used to be. I will have Kikuchi & Kobashi lose the titles soon but not quite here. Kobashi & Kikuchi's reign is now at 146 days and 2 defences

Did anyone actually think I would have Terry Funk win? I felt it was a good opponent for Misawa to kind of solidify his reign. Having beaten Hansen to win the title and now defended it against Terry Funk & Johnny Smith it now has a solid foundation to pop off. It got an 86 which was slightly better than I expected but I mean I guess I underestimated what Terry Funk could do. Either way it was a good way to end the first tour. Misawa's reign is now at 62 days with 2 defences


The next tour is the Real World Tag League which will be a lot of fun to book. I'll likely bring in a few people for it such as Dory Funk Jr, and a very special surprise from NJPW. I'll post the preview for the tournament next
