(John Cena wants his United States Championship back, so he invokes his rematch clause and challenges JBL. JBL accepts and says he’ll beat SmackDown’s resident thug again, but not in a normal match, in a Texas Bullrope Match, and that he will prove that the USA deserves a real American hero. In the build, Bradshaw keeps attacking Cena from behind until Cena has enough and ruthlessly beats down Bradshaw with the bullrope on the go home episode of SmackDown. A bloody and brutal affair sees JBL retain the title with a Clothesline from Hell after Orlando Jordan distracts Cena.)

(Kurt Angle and Big Show both come back from their respective short hiatus' and want to be WWE Champion. The Big Show has a #1 contenders match against Eddie Guerrero that is made for SmackDown, but no winner is decided after Kurt Angle runs down and attacks both men, turning Kurt heel. Teddy Long then sets up a Triple Threat Match between the 3 for No Mercy.)
Casket Match for the WWE Championship
Booker T (C) vs The Undertaker
(The Undertaker finally gets his rematch for the WWE Championship. In the build up, The Undertaker tries to play mind games on Booker T, but it doesn't really work. However, on the go home episode of SmackDown, The Undertaker does manage to get in The Master of The Spinaroonie’s head by surrounding the ring with druids and hitting him with a Tombstone piledriver. Booker manages to barely get a win here. Booker’s celebrations are cut short as The Big Show (who has turned face cause he's The Big Show) makes his way to the ring to stare down with the WWE Champion, Booker has his work cut out for him in his next defense.)

Randy Orton (C) vs Chris Jericho
(Jericho wins a Six-Pack Challenge over Chris Benoit, Christian, Edge, Shawn Michaels, and Kane to earn the right to challenge Orton for the title. Orton says that Jericho's presence makes him sick to his stomach, he's in the process of liberating Raw as its World Heavyweight Champion, but there's still parasites like Chris Jericho who are hanging around. Jericho says that this brand has been under the control of Evolution for far too long, he will be the one who changes that when he becomes the World Heavyweight Champion. Despite Evolution being banned from ringside, Orton manages to get the win by using the hammer used for the ringbell while the ref isn't looking, making it look like a sucker punch, followed by an RKO.)

Taker says that Suzuki is just the latest blue-chip prospect to dig their own grave by running their mouth.)
Survivor Series Tag Team Match
Team Orton (Randy Orton, Triple H, Batista, Ric Flair, and Christian) w/Tomko vs Team Jericho (Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, and Edge)
(Following Randy Orton cheating to win against him at Taboo Tuesday, The Man once known as Lionheart challenges Orton to a 5-on-5 Survivor Series tag team match in an effort to get even with him. Orton picks his fellow Evolution stablemates and Christian to tag with him, while Y2J gathers Shelton Benjamin, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, and Edge to fight alongside him at Survivor Series. In this Match, Shawn Michaels accidentally hits Edge with Sweet Chin Music. The Rated R Superstar retaliates by spearing HBK, causing Mr. Wrestlemania's elimination, turning heel. Edge then gets himself counted out by walking out on his team. Jericho, Triple H, and Orton are eventually the only ones remaining, and after a ref bump, Orton orders Hunter to go get his world title so he can clock Jericho with it. HHH objects, reminding Orton that although he's the world champion, he's not the leader of Evolution, and orders Randy to go get his sledgehammer. Randy gets the sledgehammer, gives it to the King of Kings, and Orton goes to hold up the Man of 1,004 holds to be hit with the sledgehammer, which ends up backfiring because Jericho moves out of the way, causing the Legend Killer to be hit with the hammer. Jericho then takes out HHH with what is now known as The Judas Effect, followed by a Lionsault before eliminating him, and then making Orton tap out to the Walls of Jericho, winning the match for his team.)

At first, Bradshaw doesn’t take Rey seriously, but he eventually accepts the challenge after Rey defeats Orlando Jordan to earn this match.)

Kurt Angle vs Eddie Guerrero
(Following their encounter at Survivor Series where they were on opposite sides, Angle & Eddie Guerrero continue to feud. Angle says Guerrero is not the right man to represent WWE, citing Latino Heat’s history of drug abuse, and that present himself as somebody who the fans can be proud of, unlike Eddie Guerrero. Eddie says that Angle needs to be put in his place. The match is the same as their Mania XX match that happened in real life, with Eddie resorting to more lying, cheating, and stealing en route to victory.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Championship
Booker T (C) vs The Big Show vs Rhyno vs The Undertaker
(Following Survivor Series, Rhyno explains why he turned on Booker T at Survivor Series. The Manbeast says that Booker T is a delusional piece of sh*t who needs to be put in his place. After Rhyno defeats Kenzo Suzuki in a match, Booker T attacks Rhyno post-match, before being saved by The Big Show to fight off Booker T, where Rhyno accidentally Gores Big Show. The following week, Teddy Long makes a match between The Big Show and Rhyno for Big Show for Big Show's #1 contendership, which ends in a nonfinish thanks to Booker T. Teddy Long punishes Booker T for this, and adds Rhyno to the match, making it a triple threat for the WWE Championship at Armageddon, and not only that, later on the night, Teddy Long makes Booker T go 1-on-1, WITH THE UNDERTAKER! where if the Deadman wins, he gets added to the WWE title match at Armageddon. Big Evil wins the match, and makes it a Fatal 4-Way. Booker manages to survive after Rhyno gore's Big Show while attempting to chokeslam The Undertaker, throwing Rhyno out of the ring and pinning Big Show to retain his WWE Championship.)

Elimination Chamber Match for the World Championship
Randy Orton (C) vs Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit vs Shawn Michaels vs Edge vs Batista
(Jericho's feud with Randy Orton continues to heat up with The Legend Killer, with Benoit also wanting a piece of Orton to try and become a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion. At the same time, Shawn Michaels and Edge are in the midst of a bitter rivalry after Edge turned heel on HBK back at Survivor Series. Eric Bischoff eventually makes an Elimination Chamber match for New Year's Revolution, with Triple H convincing Bischoff to add Batista to the match so Orton has an insurance policy, which isn't happy with Orton as he wanted to get this one done by himself. It comes down to a Final 3 of Orton, Batista, and Jericho. Orton accidentally causes Batista's elimination when he attempts to RKO Jericho, only for Jericho to quickly move Batista in his place, which then allows Jericho to take out Orton with a Slingblade and hit a Lionsault on Batista to eliminate him. It comes down to a Final 2 between Orton and Jericho. Ric Flair runs down with Triple H's Sledgehammer and tries to throw it into the chamber to assist Orton, but Orton refuses to take it, as Jericho manages to lock in The Walls of Jericho. It looks like Orton is about to tap, only for Triple H to come out from underneath the chamber and hit Jericho with The Sledgehammer, before hitting Jericho with The Pedigree. Upon seeing The Game, Orton isn't happy and shoves him, he doesn't want to win this way. Orton then hits an RKO on Jericho to retain his title, the infighting between Evolution continues.)

Jericho says Orton's days as World Heavyweight Champion are numbered, especially since Evolution is starting to not have it back. Orton says that he doesn't need Evolution's help to defeat Jericho for a 3rd time. After the match, Triple H comes down, and it looks like he's gonna celebrate with The Legend Killer, only to shockingly Pedigree Orton. HHH then Mounts Randall Keith before Batista and Flair run down to separate the two, only for Batista and Flair to turn their backs on Orton too, and assaulting him 3 on 1. Eventually, after each man hits their finisher, Triple H stands over Orton's prone body hoisting up the big gold belt, cementing Orton's face turn, and his ex-communication from Evolution.) After a ref bump, Shawn Michaels comes out from the crowd, and gives Angle a Sweet Chin Music, costing him the match, and allowing John Cena to punch his ticket to Wrestlemania 21.)

Booker T (C) vs The Big Show vs The Undertaker
(On the SmackDown after the Royal Rumble, Booker comes out to brag about how he’s singlehandedly saved the blue brand and that he’ll Scissor Kick anyone and everyone if they dare to step out of line. The Big Show interrupts Booker T, saying he has unfinished business from No Way Out, he deserves another shot against Booker, and if Booker doesn't give it to him, it shows he's a coward. The Undertaker also interrupts, saying that BOoker isn't a champion worthy of carrying the gold and that his need for order will eventually consume his soul. Teddy Long makes a Triple Threat Elimination Match between the 3 men for No Way Out. The final 2 are Booker T and The Undertaker after Taker' eliminates Big Show with a Tombstone. Undertaker hits Booker with the tombstone piledriver, and just as it looks like he has the win, Christian comes out from the crowd and hits the deadman with a chair, then a killswitch on a chair, and a conchairto. Captain Charisma then drags Booker T's prone body over the Phenom, as the referee counts 1 2 3, Booker T retains. John Cena comes down for a post match staredown with Booker T, the WWE title match for Mania has been set.)

(On an episode of Raw in late February, Batista loses a match to World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton. Orton is jumped by Flair and Triple H after the match, but Batista doesn't attack Orton. The Nature Boy and The Game give Big Dave the thumbs up to attack him, with Drax the Destroyer giving them the thumbs up back before that thumbs up turning into a thumbs down, as he attacks Flair and Hunter, turning face. Orton and Batista then hit their finishers on Triple H, and shake hands. Flair says that Batista is ungrateful for all the teachings he and Triple H taught him, so he's gonna have to humble him before he goes on to The Money in the Bank ladder match. Batista says that all he was in Evolution was someone Triple H and Flair could manipulate, but he will be manipulated no more.)

He's sick of The Deadman being viewed as Wrestlemania's biggest attraction with his streak, and wants to break his streak so Wrestlemania will be viewed as Christian's show. The Instant Classic issues a challenge to The Undertaker for Wrestlemania 21. The lights then go out, and when they're back up, The Undertaker is in the ring, shockingly appearing on Raw. The Phenom then chokeslams Christian, then tombstones him and accepts his challenge by pointing at the Wrestlemania 21 sign. Taker' topples Captain Charisma to make Christian the 13th victim of the streak.)
Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle
(Following Angle being eliminated by Shawn Michaels at the Royal Rumble, he begins mocking him on a weekly basis, which includes the 'Sexy Kurt' segment. Eventually, this leads to HBK showing up at Smackdown's No Way Out PPV and costing him his match against John Cena, which costs Angle a WWE title match. HBK challenges Angle to a match at Wrestlemania 21 the next night on Raw, which Kurt accepts via the titantron. HBK wants to prove he's the better wrestler than Angle, while The Wrestling Machine wants Payback on Shawn for eliminating him from the rumble, and costing him a potential WWE title match. This is the same match that happened IRL.)
WWE Championship
Booker T (C) vs John Cena
(After No Way Out, Booker T proclaims himself the greatest WWE Champion of all time and that nobody on the SmackDown roster is on his level. Cena takes issue with this after winning a #1 contenders tournament to earn the right to challenge The Master of the Spinaroonie to a WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 21. Booker vowes to send Cena back to West Newbury empty-handed, while the doctor of thuganomics guarantees he will be the one to end Booker's year-long reign of terror. Cena prevails in the end, ending Booker's 280-day reign.)

(After Triple H wins the Rumble, Randy Orton wants revenge on Triple H for kicking him out of Evolution. The Legend Killer wants to prove he's superior to his mentor, while The Cerebral Assassin wants to end his "creation". (Edge wins a #1 contenders battle royal to become next in line for a World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton. Edge says that Orton is a cocky & arrogant kid who should be nowhere near the world title, he's only gotten where he is because he's the son of Bob Orton Jr., but just like when Hulk Hogan toppled his dad way back in the day, and at Backlash, he's the one who drops the atomic bomb that ends Orton's title reign when he spears him. Orton says that Edge is a walking scandal who he is gonna humble.)

John Cena (C) vs Booker T
(Booker T demands a rematch for the WWE Championship and says he wants to punish John Cena for "stealing" what is his. He challenges Cena to this match so he can hear him beg for mercy. Cena accepts because he wants to prove that he’s not just some Boston thug who’s out of his depth and that he’ll make Booker pay for all the sneak attacks he did to him after WrestleMania. This match is just as bloody as Cena vs JBL was in real life.)
