NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool II
Date: January 12th, 2020
Location: Empress Ballroom, Blackpool, Lancashire, England
Card
Steel Corners Street Fight
Trent Seven vs Eddie Dennis
(Dennis returns from injury in November 2019 and viciously attacks Trent Seven after the latter’s match with Alexander Wolfe, injuring Seven’s back by launching him out of the ring and into the ringside barricade with the Severn Bridge. Over the next few weeks, Dennis berates the fans for his injury and for being unable to compete at Takeover: Cardiff. He says that he attacked Seven to let everyone know what he’s capable of, and he won’t be forgotten about again. Seven returns a month later and says if Eddie thinks he can make a name for himself at his expense, then he’s made a fatal mistake. He challenges the Welsh Dragon to a Steel Corners Street Fight match, with no turnbuckle padding on all four corners of the ring. Dennis accepts. This is the same match they had on the 02/06/2020 episode of NXT UK, only moved to this event. Seven wins with a Birming-hammer.)
Triple Threat Match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship:
Kay Lee Ray (C) vs Toni Storm vs Piper Niven
(After a small hiatus away from NXT UK, Toni Storm returns after Survivor Series and invokes her rematch clause. Piper Niven is added to this match after defeating Jinny. In the build, Toni tries to convince Piper to back out of the match, but Niven refuses, saying she loves Toni as a friend, but she needs this opportunity more than anything. This leads to both women brawling until officials break them up, with a smug KLR watching from the stage. Toni says she allowed KLR to get in her head and can’t trust Piper anymore, but she’ll exorcise her demons and regain her NXT UK Women’s Championship. Piper says that Toni is becoming everything she fought against, and just wants her old friend back. KLR says she’ll beat both women and walk out of Blackpool as champion. Storm lands a Frog Splash on Niven, but KLR superkicks Storm and pins Niven to retain the title. Storm’s farewell match in NXT UK occurs on the 02/27/2020 episode of NXT UK when she loses an I Quit Match to KLR.)
Tyler Bate vs Jordan Devlin
(The seeds for this match are sown when Devlin mocks Bate for losing to WALTER at Takeover: Cardiff. The Irish Ace thinks Bate has lost his edge, and that he should step aside for someone who was born and bred to be NXT UK Champion. Bate responds by slapping Devlin and both men brawl, which leads to this match. Devlin says he’ll embarrass the Big Strong Boi in the arena where it all started three years ago. Bate says Devlin is just a poor man’s Finn Bálor with a big mouth, and he’s going to shut it. Same amazing match as it was in real life, only with The Irish Ace now prevailing.)
Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship
Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) (C) vs Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews vs Grizzled Young Veterans vs Imperium
(Gallus defeat Webster and Andrews on the 10/17/2019 episode of NXT UK to win the titles. Mark Coffey declare that since they backed up their words about getting it done, they ain't ever losing these NXT UK Tag Titles. After a NXT UK Tag Team Championship match between Gallus and Imperium descends into a brawl, Johnny Saint and Sid Scala announce that if Gallus want respect, then they should earn it, because they’ll be defending their titles in a Ladder Match! Webster and Andrews want the titles back, the GYV want to be two time NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovani Vinci want their first taste of gold).
NXT UK Championship
GUNTHER (C) vs Joe Coffey
(Following his victory over Tyler Bate in Cardiff, Imperium declare WALTER the most impressive and honorable champion in NXT UK history. This draws the ire of Gallus (in the midst of a tweener phase), especially Joe Coffey. Coffey says how can "Big Bad Gunna" claim to be an honorable man when he has his tracksuit-wearing scumbags do his dirty work for him. The Ring General says he won’t stand for such blatant disrespect and says if The Iron King wants a title match, he can fall in line with the rest of the NXT UK roster. After an 8-man tag team match between Imperium and Gallus & Ilja Dragunov ends in a no contest, Johnny Saint makes this match. Coffey says he hasn’t forgotten how WALTER left his mark with his size 14 boot on his face last year, and he’ll do whatever it takes to erase that image from his mind and become NXT UK Champion. WALTER says he’ll make that Glasgow thug regret the day he ever challenged him. Alexander Wolfe comes out to interfere, but Dragunov runs down to stop him and both men brawl to the back. WALTER rebounds and makes Coffey tap out to a modified head and arm clutch. As the rest of Imperium come out to celebrate, The Undisputed Era come through the crowd and attack Imperium to a huge surprise! Cole hits a Last Shot on The Ring General as the UE stands tall.)

Location: Toyota Center, Houston, Texas
Card
Pre Show
Mia Yim vs Kay Lee Ray
(Not much story behind this match. KLR invades NXT and attacks Mia Yim a week before this event happens, which leads to this match.)
Main Card
Finn Balor vs Ilja Dragunov
(Finn Balor issues an challenge to NXT UK’s resident unstoppable force, Ilja Dragunov. Balor says that Dragunov is talented, fearless and he believes in himself, but if he wants to step up to The Prince, he will put him down. Dragunov says he will run through Finn and prove to the whole world that he has what it takes to belong in an NXT ring.)
6-Pack Challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship
Lio Rush (C) vs Jordan Devlin vs Swerve Strickland vs Travis Banks vs Angel Garza vs Mark Andrews w/Flash Morgan Webster
(Just six of the best Cruiserweights in NXT and NXT UK battling it out for the right to be called Cruiserweight Champion. Garza hits a Wing Clipper on Rush, but Devlin flattens Garza with a headbutt and hits Rush with the Devlin-Side to win the title.)
#DIY vs Moustache Mountain
(Johnny Gargano returns from injury in December. He approaches Tommaso Ciampa backstage and convinces him to reunite #DIY for one last match against Moustache Mountain. Ciampa agrees to the reunion. Both teams shake hands after this match.)
NXT Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Toni Storm
(Rhea Ripley defeats Shayna Baszler on the 12/17/2019 episode of NXT to win the NXT Women’s Championship, ending Baszler’s 415-day reign, and sending The Queen of Spades to the main roster. Toni interrupts a Rhea promo on an episode of NXT and lays down the challenge for an NXT Women's Title Match for World's Collide, which The Nightmare accepts. Storm says that the last time she faced off against Rhea Ripley with championship gold on the line, she walked out the victor, the same will happen at World's Collide. Rhea says that she's not the same woman who let Toni get the better of her last time, she's now one of the best women's wrestlers on the planet, and she proves it when she retains her Women's title at World's Collide.)
8-Man Tag Team Match
The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, & Roderick Strong) vs Imperium (GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovani Vinci & Alexander Wolfe)
(After being attacked by The Undisputed Era at Takeover: Blackpool, Imperium angrily storm into Johnny Saint’s office and demand a match against the NXT invaders. Saint, after a discussion with William Regal, agrees to the match. WALTER says that Imperium will hurt, humiliate, and disrespect that pathetic bunch of four little boys. Adam Cole says that Imperium are not on The UE’s level, and they’ll prove that only one faction in NXT can call themselves dominant. Both teams get into a brawl on the go-home episode of NXT, with WALTER landing a vicious knife edge chop on Cole. This match is an all out war from the opening bell.)
Final Score
NXT 4- 2 NXT UK

Royal Rumble 2020
Date: January 26th, 2020
Location: Minute Maid Park, Houston, Texas
Card
Pre Show
Sheamus vs Chad Gable
(Sheamus returns from his concussion in December of 2019 with his old look, and targets Chad Gable. Sheamus says that in his 8 months away he's disgusted that small guys like Chad Gable have destroyed the mythos that WWE has gone by for so long, the land of the giants. Gable says that he will happily send Sheamus back home, where he belongs. In a twist of irony, a few weeks later, Gable is (kayfabe) released from WWE. It's not known as a kayfabe firing at the time, as the announcement comes through wwe.com. Gable then does a spin of the YouTube shoot circuit (with WWE's permission) with Fightful, Wrestletalk, and Talk is Jericho (just to stick it to AEW), where he says "The WWE system is broken, if the WWE keeps treating its employees the way they do, someone will make them suffer for it".)
WWE United States Championship
Aleister Black (C) vs Bobby Lashley
(Lashley begins targeting Black in the beginning of 2020, earning his #1 contendership after winning a Triple Threat Match over Rusev and Erick Rowan. Bobby says that it's been far too long since he's last held gold in WWE, but that will all change at the Royal Rumble. Black says that Bobby is all muscle, and no brains. Black wins, but with a rollup after countering a Spear. Following the match, Bobby attacks Aleister to get his heat back, debuting The Hurt Lock.)
Main Card
Street Fight for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Ruby Riott
(Following her return at TLC, Ruby reveals her reasons for attacking Liv. Ruby says that without her, Liv Morgan is nothing. If it wasn't for her, Liv would still be in NXT, and she's sick of Liv acting like she's some superstar, when in reality she was the one who was the star of the Riott Squad, it was named after her, not Liv, she was just the eye candy, and at the Royal Rumble, she is going to embarrass Liv and take her precious Smackdown Women's Championship. Liv says that she loves Ruby, but Ruby's ego kept on getting in the way of their friendship, always trying to hold her back after her impressive performances at Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble, and in the Elimination Chamber, and at the Royal Rumble, she is going to prove she never needed Ruby Riott. Paige makes the match a Street Fight knowing neither woman will heed to the rules of a normal match since they're going at each other's throats. The match is a bloody affair, with Liv winning after an Ob-Liv-ion to Ruby onto thumbtacks.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
The Authors of Pain (C) w/Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy vs Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe
(Following Joe stepping off commentary, KO and Joe continue to go after Rollins and his disciples, challenging AOP for their tag titles at the Rumble. Akam and Rezar say that if KO couldn't beat Rollins, how on earth does he think he's gonna beat them, just because he has Samoa Joe to watch his back won't assure him victory. KO and Joe say that AOP are just henchmen, they have no purpose, they just live to serve some egotistical maniac like Rollins, and their lives would be a hell of a lot better without those Raw Tag Team titles.)

WWE Intercontinental Championship
EC3 (C) vs Sami Zayn w/Cesaro
(Since moving to Smackdown, Sami Zayn employs Cesaro to be his bodyguard, which leads to Sami going on a win streak, and earning another shot at the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Chad Gable, Sheamus, and Elias in a Fatal 4-Way Match. Sami says that EC3 got lucky the last time they faced off, he didn't have Cesaro to watch his back, but now that he does, that Intercontinental title will be wrapped around the waist of an artist named Sami Zayn. EC3 says Sami talks a big game, but he can never back it up, so why does he think that will change this time. The closing moments of the match see's EC3 hit the One Percenter on Sami, only for Cesaro to pull the ref out of the ring when EC3 pins Sami. While Cesaro has the ref distracted, Elias (who is still feuding with EC3) sneaks into the ring, hits EC3 with his gutair, then sneaks out, which allows Sami to hit a Helluva Kick on EC3 to to win the IC title, ending EC3's 294-day reign as champion.)
Handicap Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs The Kabuki Warriors
(Following their tag title win at TLC, The Kabuki Warriors set their sights on Becky Lynch and her Raw Women's Championship, making sure one of them becomes a double champion. Becky says that this may be another challenge for her, she's going up against 2 champions who have a new killer instinct, but how many times has her back been against the wall and she's persevered out, that's happened with all her title defenses, and it will happen here too.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (C) w/Paul Heyman vs The Miz w/John Morrison
(The Miz wins a Fatal 5-Way #1 contenders match over King Corbin, Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Ricochet to get another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. In the leadup, Miz and Nakamura challenge The War Raiders for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships, where Miz turns heel on Naka and walks out on the match. The following week, Nakamura demands that Miz come down to the ring so he can kick his a$$. Miz comes down, but just stands there on the ramp, as Nakamura is attacked from behind by a returning John Morrison, who double teams Naka with The Miz. Morrison says he came back to WWE because he's seen how his best friend Miz has been struggling, he hasn't won a world title since 2013, and told Miz that this good guy thing he's doing isn't working for him, he needs to go back to being The A-Lister, the World Champion. Miz says that John was right, he's become soft since embracing the fans, he needs to be the real Miz once again, and that starts with becoming a 3 time World Heavyweight Champion at the Rumble. Heyman says that he knew Miz was still a scumbag inside, and now that he can no longer keep up the façade, Nakamura will make Miz wish that façade was still ongoing.)
WWE Championship
Andrade "Cien" Almas (C) w/Zelina Vega vs Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman
(Brock returns on the final Raw of 2019, confronting WWE Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas, and giving him an F5, before Heyman lays down the challenge for the Royal Rumble. Heyman says that it's time that he manage 2 world champions simultaneously, because while Andrade is an incredible athlete who's done a tremendous job as WWE Champion, but he has never faced anyone like BROCK, LESNAR! Zelina says that Brock is too rusty to compete against El Idolo, he competes once every presidential election, which is why Andrade will easily mop the floor with him. The 2 go 25 minutes, with Brock winning after countering an attempted 4th Hammerlock DDT into an F5 to win his 5th WWE Championship.)

NXT Takeover: Portland
Date: February 15th, 2020
Location: Moda Center, Portland, Oregon
Card
NXT North American Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Dominik Dijakovic
(Lee beats Roderick Strong to win the North American Championship on the 01/21/2020 episode of NXT. The following week, Dijakovic beats Damian Priest and Cameron Grimes in a triple threat #1 contenders match to earn this title shot. Dijakovic says he has a tremendous amount of respect for Keith, which is why it sucks that he has to take that North American Championship from him. Lee says that even though Dijakovic is one of his closest friends, he's ready to go to war with him at Takeover: Portland.)
NXT Tag Team Championships
The Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish) (C) w/Roderick Strong vs The Broserweights (Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne)
(The oddball duo of Dunne and Riddle, who are dubbed "The Broserweights" win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic over Grizzled Young Veterans to get this match. O'Reilly and Fish say that these 2 clowns have no experience as a tag team, compared to their 8 years as a team. Riddle says something about "how much fish could Bobby Fish fry if Bobby Fish could fry fish?", while Dunne says it doesn't matter how much experience they have as a team, The Undisputed Era are losing their titles and getting their fingers broken.)
Extreme Rules Match
Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai
(Dakota reveals the reasons for her actions at Takeover: Wargames 3. Dakota is pi$$ed that she wasn't chosen for Rhea's wargames team, even though she eventually made it in as an alternate, which she is disgusted that she's been reduced to an alternate, and she holds a grudge for that. Even worse, her "best friend" Tegan Nox didn't have her back and support her through any of this, so her attack is justified. Tegan says she thought Dakota was her best friend, but it's clear she's jealous, so she's gonna have to beat the jealousy out of her. Same match as in real life (only now it's an Extreme Rules Match due to there now being a Street Fight between 2 women 3 weeks earlier so the stipulation doesn't feel redundant), with a debuting Raquel Rodriguez helping Kai win by putting Nox through a table that actually breaks.)
NXT Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Bianca Belair
(In early January, Bianca Belair wins a #1 contenders battle royal to get this title shot. In the leadup, Charlotte Flair makes a surprising return to NXT, talking about how since she's failed to win the Royal Rumble, she doesn't know what's next for her, so she's gonna spend some time back where she came from to build herself backup. Rhea Ripley then comes out and says that she's happy Charlotte's back in NXT, because she won't be here for long, and wants to cement herself as the greatest NXT Women's Champion of all time by beating Charlotte. Bianca Belair then comes out and tells Charlotte "YOU DON'T EVEN GO HERE!". Bianca then tells Rhea to stop being amazed by some blonde chick who's not even on the show and focus on the woman who's about to take her title. Rhea is attacked by Charlotte post match.)
Finn Balor vs Johnny Gargano
(In December of 2019, Johnny Gargano returns and sets his sights straight for Finn Balor following his attack on him in October. Finn says that all he's heard about over the past few years is Johnny Wrestling, Johnny Takeover, Johnny you get the f*cking point, because it seems NXT has forgotten who he is, and it's time they start remembering. Johnny says he's the next Finn Balor, he's the first Johnny Gargano, and he needs to solidify himself as the face of NXT by beating the longest reigning NXT champion, the demon, Finn Balor, not the Finn Balor who was AJ Styles' b*tch throughout the summer of 2019. Balor says you want the Demon? You aren't gonna get him, because The Demon is dead, Bray Wyatt killed it, because instead, Johnny Wrestling is facing The Prince, and Johnny will survive if he lets him.)
NXT Championship
Adam Cole (C) vs Tommaso Ciampa
(Following his team winning at Takeover: Wargames 3, Tommaso is granted a shot at the NXT Championship. Ciampa says that he's going to take back his life, he's going to take back "Goldie", he's gonna take back the title he never lost, and guarantees this will be the Fairytale Ending to Adam Cole's title reign. Cole says that Tommaso thinks he's entitled to a title shot just because he got injured, but the world moves on, and so should Ciampa. This is the same match as in real life, with Johnny Gargano turning heel on Ciampa to help Adam Cole retain the NXT Championship.)

Card
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Viking Raiders (C) vs The Miz & John Morrison
(Following Miz's unsuccessful attempt to try and become a 3 time World Heavyweight Champion, MC-M-I-Z and Johnny Drip Drip move their attentions to becoming tag team champions, winning a Tag Team Turmoil over Heavy Machinery, The Usos, Lucha House Party, and the new duo of Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode. Miz & Morrison that they always have been and still are the greatest tag team of the 21st century, and The Viking Raiders are going to have to accept that when they lose their Smackdown Tag Team Championships. The Viking Raiders say that Miz and Morrison haven't teamed in years, and they weren't even good in their prime, now they're just 2 old men trying to relive their glory years. Miz & Morrison (Hey Hey, Ho Ho) win, ending Erik & Ivar's 154-day reign as champions.)
Singles Match for Drew McIntyre's Wrestlemania title shot
Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles w/The Good Brothers
(Following his rumble win, Drew McIntyre turns face, and promises to be the one who dethrones Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. The OC then begin to target Drew in the following weeks, with AJ wanting that title shot. AJ says that Drew hasn't done anything impressive before winning the Rumble, so why does he think he's hot sh*t now just because he won the Rumble? Drew says that AJ has become a coward ever since moving to Raw, always hiding behind The Good Brothers, and can't wait to kick him in his phenomenal face. Following a ref bump, AJ gets the upper hand, with The OC just wrecking Drew McIntyre. AJ then goes for a Phenomenal Forearm, but then, GONG! (you know how this goes by now). Surprise Surprise, The Undertaker is in the ring, and he hits The Good Brothers with a Double Chokeslam. AJ then goes for a Phenomenal Forearm into The Undertaker, but The Deadman counters it into a Chokeslam, before disappearing. Drew then hits The Claymore for the win.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn (C) vs EC3 vs Elias vs Cesaro
(EC3 invokes his rematch clause against Sami following his loss at the Royal Rumble. Sami convinces management to add Cesaro to the match to increase his chances of winning. Elias interrupts Sami during a promo and demands to be added to the match, saying that if it weren't for him, Sami wouldn't have that Intercontinental Championship. Elias then beats Cesaro to get in the match to make it Fatal 4-Way. EC3 says it doesn't matter who he pins out of Sami, Cesaro, or Elias, he's going to walk out a 2 time IC Champion. Sami says that he liberated the title from EC3, and is going to make the title the most prestigious title in all of WWE alongside his bodyguard Cesaro. Elias says that Fastlane will be the most historic night in the history of this company, because The Drifter will finally claim championship gold.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe (C) vs Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy w/The Authors of Pain
(Following their loss of the Raw Tag Team titles at the Royal Rumble, AOP give their automatic rematch clause to Seth Rollins & Murphy for them to invoke and get the title shot. Rollins says that those titles don't belong to those immobile slobs Owens and Joe, they deserve to be around the waist's of The Monday Night Messiah and his Star Disciple. Owens and Joe simply just want to kick Seth Rollins' a$$. In the match, Samoa Joe leaves halfway through due to a concussion and has to be helped to the back, but Owens still gets the win despite the 2 on 1 disadvantage, getting the win with a Stunner on Murphy.)
Triple Threat Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Ruby Riott vs Sarah Logan
(The Riott Squad implode for good! Sarah Logan finds herself involved in the blood feud between her former stablemates Ruby and Liv when she interrupts both of them on The Smackdown after The Rumble. Sarah says she's sick of these 2 fighting, they need to move on with their lives, and if she has to step in and help with that, then so be it. Ruby tells Sarah to stay out of this, this isn't her fight, she already had her chance at Liv and lost. A three way brawl emerges and it leads to Paige making a #1 contenders match between Ruby and Sarah the next week on Smackdown. That match ends in a Double Count-Out as both women brawl into the crowd, leading to Paige making a Triple Threat between the 3 former Riott Squad members. Liv says that The Riott Squad died because of Ruby's ego, she couldn't stand that her and Sarah were outshining her, and at Fastlane, her victory Ruby and Sarah will be the final goodbye. Liv scores the win with a Double Ob-Liv-ion on Ruby and Sarah, pinning Ruby for the win. Following the match, Bayley comes down and stares off with Liv, pointing at the Wrestlemania 36 sign, with Liv then hoisting up her title, setting up the Smackdown Women's Championship match at Wrestlemania.)
No Holds Barred Match
"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs Braun Strowman
(Heel vs Heel. Braun (sporting the bald commando look) isn't finished with Bray Wyatt, and promises to use his new inner monster to destroy The Fiend. Bray says that he's already beaten Braun, he has nothing to prove, but if he really wants The Fiend, be careful what you wish for, because he's gonna get him. This is the same match as their Summerslam 2020 match that happened IRL, without The Roman run in post match.)
Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega vs Akira Tozawa
(This is Zelina's latest client's debut. Garza squashes Tozawa in 4 minutes.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Sheamus
(Kinshasa vs The Brogue Kick. The Celtic Warrior moves on to a feud with World Heavyweight Champion following the Rumble, securing a title shot by winning a Fatal 4-Way over Roman Reigns, King Corbin, and Daniel Bryan. Sheamus says that it's been years since he's been in any world title match, which has resulted in him being reduced to the prison that was the tag team division. Heyman says that Sheamus spent all those years in The Bar because he's getting old, he's just no longer "world championship material" like he was back in 2012, which Sheamus still seems to think it is judging off of his throwback look.)
Raw Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Alexa Bliss w/Nikki Cross
(Alexa scores a shock pinfall victory over Becky on Raw, leading to Mickie James granting her this match. Alexa says that she's already taken gold from Becky once, and as much as she respects Becky, she'll do it again in a heartbeat. Becky says that just because Alexa's now respectable doesn't mean she's not tapping out to the disarm-her. Following the match, Shayna Baszler appears and attacks Becky Lynch, and does not become a vampire and bite her.)
WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Aleister Black
(Due to Andrade "Cien" Almas violating the wellness policy, a new #1 contender has to be crowned for Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship. Raw GM Mickie James then sets up a Triple Threat between Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and Aleister Black, with the winner getting a WWE title shot against Brock at Fastlane. US Champ Aleister Black wins that triple threat thanks to tampering from Kevin Owens that leads to Rollins getting hit by The Black Mass. Black says that Brock may be this unbeatable leviathan, but he will succumb to the Black Mass. Heyman says that Black is an animal in the ring, but he is out of his mind if he thinks he's going to become a double champion and defeat BROCK! LESNAR! The match goes 20 minutes, with Black accidentally hitting the referee with a Black Mass, leading to Bobby Lashley interfering and costing Black the match. Following the match, Drew McIntyre appears from out of nowhere and hits Brock with a Claymore, signalling he will challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 36.)

Elimination Chamber 2020Date: March 8th, 2020 Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Card
Elimination Chamber Match to determine who will challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women's Championship at Wrestlemania 36
Shayna Baszler vs Alexa Bliss vs Nikki Cross vs Asuka vs Kairi Sane vs Natalya (Following Fastlane, Mickie James announces that Becky Lynch will sit out Elimination Chamber, and an Elimination Chamber match will take place to determine her Wrestlemania opponent. Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross start the match, with Asuka entering 3rd, as The Kabuki Warriors work over Nikki constantly, until Natalya enters the match 4th, who Nikki is forced to work with to try to get an edge over the Kabuki's despite Natalya not being her regular tag partner. This all changes when Shayna Baszler enters at 5th, and singlehandedly takes out Nattie, Kairi, Nikki, and Asuka, with Asuka passing out to the Kirifuda Clutch just in time for Alexa Bliss to enter the match last. Alexa scores a near upset over Shayna, before succumbing to Shayna's Kirifuda Clutch to punch her ticket to Wrestlemania 36) Triple Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship
Aleister Black (C) vs Bobby Lashley vs AJ Styles w/The Good Brothers (Aleister and Bobby's feud continue to heats up following Bobby costing Aleister the WWE Championship. AJ gets involved in this by going after Aleister, because he wants the attention of The Undertaker, and he thinks he can that by taking out another creature of the night. Undertaker interferes in the match, costing AJ as he gets pinned by Aleister.) Mustafa Ali vs Sheamus (On the Smackdown after Fastlane, Mustafa Ali returns in a backstage interview. The interviewer asks Ali if he was injured, he says no, he asks if he was taking time off to see family, he says no, the interviewer then asks Ali why he was away, to which Ali responds "Did they tell you I was away? Because I was here, you just didn't see me, because they didn't see anything in me". Sheamus then interrupts the interview and says he's made a habit of taking "short, tempered" guys and sending them home "where they belong", and Ali won't be an exception, so he challenges him to a match at Elimination Chamber, which Ali accepts. During the match, there's some glitches in the feed, and eventually the feed stops and is replaced with a repeated loop of Rick Astley's song "Never Gonna Give You Up", meaning that the viewers watching from home have been Rickrolled. The live crowd don't notice it and Ali wins by rollup before Sheamus gets his heat back post match. The feed does eventually come back on air. The following day, WWE issue a press release, apologising to the fans who watched the ppv, claiming that their feed was compromised by an outside source and the police have been contacted to find out who it is, and they've also contacted relevant authorities to ensure this doesn't happen again.) Tag Team Match for the vacant Raw Tag Team ChampionshipsSeth Rollins & Buddy Murphy w/The Authors of Pain vs The Street Profits(Following KO & Joe vacating the Raw Tag Team Championships, Rollins & Murphy and the Street Profits are chosen to compete for the vacant titles. Rollins says that those titles belong to his church, and he won't let to party animals rob him of those titles. The Street Profits say that the titles are made to be held by a tag team and not some dude who proclaims to be a "Messiah" and his ginger friend. A Kevin Owens distraction helps the Profits win the titles. Following the match, Rollins & Murphy beat down AOP, writing them off tv.) WWE Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn (C) w/Cesaro vs Apollo Crews (Crews scores an upset win over Zayn on an episode of Smackdown, leading to him getting a shot at the IC title. Zayn says that Apollo hasn't been relevant in years, how on earth does he expect to beat him twice. Crews says that lightning will strike twice at Elimination Chamber, when he shuts Sami's mouth and takes the Intercontinental Championship.) Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) w/Sarah Logan vs Sasha Banks w/Bayley (Following Bayley choosing her Wrestlemania opponent, Liv enters into a feud with Bayley & Sasha, with Sasha getting a title match at Elimination Chamber. Sasha says that it's cute that Liv has been carrying the Smackdown women's division for the past year, because now it's time for the role models of the division to take over. Liv says that while Sasha was sitting at home nursing a leg injury caused by her "best friend" lest we forget, she was the one who made this division relevant again. Also in the build, Liv Morgan recruits her old Riott Squad stablemate Sarah Logan to have her back against Bayley and Sasha. The finishing sequence see's Sasha set Liv up for The Banks' Statement, only for Liv to counter into a rollup, which Sasha kicks out of, only to immediately be hit with the 201 Facebreaker by Liv, who follows it up with Ob-Liv-ion, pinning Sasha for the win, as she stares straight through Bayley's soul.) Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Miz & John Morrison (C) vs The Viking Raiders vs Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode w/Mandy Rose (Erik & Ivar invoke their rematch clause following their tag title loss at Fastlane, with Heavy Machinery and the team of Ziggler & Roode getting involved. Since December, Otis and Mandy Rose form an oddball connection, leading to Otis help Mandy in the women's rumble match, and Otis asking Mandy on a date, which she agrees to. An anonymous person steal's Mandy's phone while she isn't looking, and they (pretending to be Mandy) say that they'll be late. This leads to Dolph Ziggler taking Otis' place, and Otis having his heart broken. Both Heavy Machinery and Ziggler & Roode take each other out of the match, with Miz getting the pin on Erik with the Skull Crushing Finale.) "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs Daniel Bryan (Following Fastlane, Bray sets his sights on Daniel Bryan, adding a stuffed goat to the funhouse, that takes Rambling Rabbit's place by continuously dying, usually because of Mercy the Buzzard. Bryan says that Bray is still holding a grudge over how he betrayed him 6 years ago, and will make sure he finally lets it go. Following Bray's win, a 5th jagged line is added to the Firefly Funhouse.) Singles Match for Drew McIntyre's WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania 36
Drew McIntyre vs Andrade "Cien" Almas w/Zelina Vega and Angel Garza (Shortly after Fastlane, Andrade "Cien" Almas returns from his wellness violation and sets his sights on Drew McIntyre and his Wrestlemania title match. Zelina says that since her client had to spend some time away, he still deserves an opportunity at a rematch against Brock Lesnar, and he'll get that by taking Drew's opportunity. Drew says that Andrade already got his opportunity against Brock, and lost, it's time for someone else to have a shot at Brock. Garza tries to interfere in the match, but McIntyre takes him out with a Future Shock DDT on the floor outside the ring. As Zelina hops on the apron to distract the ref, McIntyre nails Andrade with a Glasgow Kiss that sends Andrade into the ropes and knocks Zelina off the apron. McIntyre then hits a Claymore for the win, keeping his Wrestlemania dream alive.) Elimination Chamber match to determine who will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania 36Roman Reigns vs King Corbin vs Braun Strowman vs EC3 vs Ricochet vs mystery opponent (Jeff Hardy) (Following Nakamura's win over Sheamus at Fastlane, Paul Heyman announces he has come to an agreement with Smackdown GM Paige that his client will sit out Elimination Chamber in favour of determining who his Wrestlemania 36 opponent will be. A number of qualifying matches are set up for this event, with a mystery 6th man also being in the match. Roman Reigns defeats Cesaro to qualify, King Corbin defeats Daniel Bryan to qualify after interference from Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman defeats Drew Gulak to qualify, Ricochet defeats The Miz to qualify, and EC3 defeats Elias in a Symphony of Destruction match to end their feud and qualify for the match. Jeff Hardy is revealed as the mystery man, returning after 10 months away. Jeff Hardy and Ricochet start the match off in a fun exchange, but in the end, it comes down to Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. The Monster Among Men gets the win after countering a Spear from Roman into a Running Power Slam, setting up a first time ever match against Shinsuke Nakamura. Roman Reigns also suffers an injury in this match that will sideline him for 5 months.) Elimination Chamber notes

The original patient and carrier of the COVID-19 virus is immediately quarantined in Wuhan as early as late December, with the wet market also being shut down, which means no lockdowns, travel restrictions or worldwide panic. Fans are still allowed to attend events, and life continues as normal.)

NXT Takeover: Tampa Bay
Date: April 2nd, 2020
Location: Amalie Arena, Tampa, Florida
Note
(Weeks before this event, mysterious and sinister vignettes showing apocalyptic visions, accompanied by a female voice speaking in Romanian, as well as English, begin airing on episodes of NXT.)
Card
6-Man Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Damien Priest vs Dominik Dijakovic vs Cameron Grimes vs Dexter Lumis vs Roderick Strong
(Following their show-stealing match in Portland, Dominik Dijakovic challenges Keith Lee to a rematch for the NXT North American Championship. Damien Priest attacks both men and signals his intent to be the next in line for a title shot. Things become complicated when Cameron Grimes, Dexter Lumis, and Roderick Strong all get involved over the coming weeks, forcing William Regal to put all 6 men into a Ladder Match. It’s The Rare Breed that prevails as he claims his first piece of NXT gold.)
Austin Theory vs Timothy Thatcher
(Timothy Thatcher makes his NXT debut in early March, squashing an enhancement talent in his debut match. This draws the attention of fellow newcomer to NXT, Austin Theory, who challenges Thatcher to a match at Takeover: Tampa Bay. Theory says he's young, hungry, he's primed for success, unlike this old caveman Thatcher, whose gonna be in for a beating at Takeover: Tampa Bay, a beating he can deliver all day, cause Thatcher is going down, A-Town Down! Thatcher says that Theory is an arrogant punk who is gonna be torn apart limb by limb.)
Last Woman Standing Match
Dakota Kai w/Raquel Rodriguez vs Tegan Nox
(Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai’s blood feud continues. After her victory over Nox in Portland, Kai unveils her new bodyguard, Raquel Gonzalez, on an episode of NXT. Kai says that now that she has her own personal insurance policy, Tegan will think twice before she lays her hands on her, because Raquel will tear her limb from limb. Tegan interrupts and says it’s cute that Dakota has chosen to become the biggest weasel in the NXT Women’s division, because once she gets bored of Raquel doing her dirty work, she’ll betray her too. For weeks, both women brawl all around Full Sail University until William Regal stops them. Regal says that since both women seem hellbent on destroying each other, then they will face each other in a Last Woman Standing Match. Nox says Kai’s new hired help won’t save her from the punishment that’s coming to her. Kai says she’s already proven that she’s better than Tegan Nox, but she’ll gladly finish what she started. Tegan wins a brutal and violent affair by handcuffing Rodriguez to the ringpost to prevent her from interfering, and finishing off Kai with an Avalanche Welsh Destroyer through a table, with Dakota failing to answer the 10 count.)
NXT Tag Team Championships
The BroserWeights (C) vs Grizzled Young Veterans
(Following their shock victory in Portland, the odd couple of Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne continue their unlikely ascent to the top of the NXT Tag Team division. One of their segments is interrupted by the Grizzled Young Veterans, who beat The Forgotten Sons to become the number one contenders. Zack Gibson and James Drake brand Riddle and Dunne a pair of dweebs who won’t even last a year as a tag team, and it’s time for a real tag team to restore some prestige back to the good name of tag team wrestling. Riddle and Dunne say they don’t care what The GYV think, and that they’re going to embarrass Pinky and the Brain. Dunne picks up an injury in this match that forces The Broserweights to vacate the tag titles 2 weeks later.)
Title vs Career Match for the NXT Championship
Adam Cole (C) w/Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong vs Velveteen Dream w/Dexter Lumis
(After Takeover: Portland, The Velveteen Dream returns to NXT after five months out with a back injury and begins feuding with Adam Cole. Dream beats all three members of the Undisputed Era in a gauntlet match, (he ends up injuring Kyle O'Reilly by putting him through the announce table) to get a shot at Cole. During the leadup, Dream recruits an ally in Dexter Lumis to have his back against The UE. Dream says that The UE tried to kill the experience, and if he can’t beat some lazy Twitch streamer who has his goons do all the fighting for him, then he has no career, he has no future, in NXT. Cole interrupts and says if Dream was serious, he should have quit years ago, because it’s obvious that he’ll never be the face of NXT while Adam Cole (Bay Bay!) is around. Dream cuts Cole off and says he’s willing to risk his entire career to take the NXT Championship from around Cole’s waist. If he doesn’t win, he’ll leave NXT. Cole accepts and says that Dream is a moron who will be an afterthought when he's done with him. Dream says he’ll fight tooth and nail to take the last piece of gold from The UE’s death-grip. During the match, Lumis fights off an interfering Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish, but Kyle O'Reilly returns by coming through the crowd to low blow Dream and assist Cole in winning. Following this match, Dream’s NXT contract is terminated immediately, due to the real-life allegations against him.)
I Quit Match
Tommaso Ciampa vs Johnny Gargano
(Instead of One Final Beat, things are done differently here. After his shocking betrayal at Takeover: Portland, Johnny Gargano explains his actions. He brands Tommaso Ciampa a stain on his life and that he hasn’t forgotten the trauma that Ciampa put him through two years ago, trauma that he’s still dealing with today. When Tommaso returned to a hero’s welcome, to fake adulation, everybody forgot about Johnny Gargano. The NXT Universe cast Johnny Wrestling aside and cheered for the most despicable human being in existence, which made him sick to his stomach. So he cost Ciampa the NXT Championship, which was justified. Ciampa returns a week later, saying that in order to get his life back, to find inner peace inside his soul, there can be no Johnny Gargano in NXT. Both men end up brawling throughout the Performance Center, and both are fined in the aftermath. William Regal declares that NXT simply isn’t big enough for the both of them and that it has to end. But only if one of them says two words..... I Quit. Regal also reminds them that any physical contact between them before this match means they’ll both be suspended indefinitely. Gargano says he bought Tommaso Ciampa into NXT, and now he gets to destroy him by forcing him to say two humiliating words. Ciampa says he’ll make Johnny see the light after he beats his ass. Candice LeRae comes down to try and get both men to stop, but then she turns heel and low blows Ciampa! Gargano then traps his former best friend in the Garga-No Escape, with Candice holding the microphone close to Ciampa’s face. Eventually, The Black Heart says those two words and Johnny wins. As Johnny and Candice leave to stunned silence from the fans, a hooded figure in a devil mask suddenly attacks Ciampa as he’s trying to recover. A mysterious blonde woman, revealed to be Scarlett, than walks down to the ring. The assailant removes his mask and hood..... It’s Karrion Kross! He mercilessly beats down and chokes out the Psycho Killer with the Kross Jacket. Kross and Scarlett pose over Ciampa’s lifeless body as Takeover: Tampa Bay goes off the air.)

Card
Night 1
Handicap Match
Mustafa Ali vs King Corbin & Sheamus
(Following the hacking incident at Elimination Chamber, Smackdown GM Paige puts together an internal task force lead by King Corbin and Sheamus (who have been given extraordinary locker room powers), who's job is to rule out anyone from the company doing it. In the weeks leading up to mania, they go on a rampage, spotting someone they don't know on a laptop backstage, with Corbin asking who they are. The guy says he's new, and he's been hired to write for the website, Corbin says that's convenient, considering the website isn't here. The guy says that he just wanted to see how the show's were ran, Sheamus responds by saying "sure you did fella" before smashing the guys laptop, and Corbin and Sheamus hit the guy with repeated finishers (giving all the new writers flashbacks to when they met JBL back in the day), before Sheamus gets on the mic and saying "let this be a message to everyone backstage fella, we are watching you". Every week, Corbin and Sheamus turn up to Smackdown wearing suits, believing themselves to be this important taskforce, but they f*ck it up every week by giving themselves a stupid name with a stupid acronym, only to change it the following week cause they've realised they've embarrassed themselves. Before Wrestlemania, the hacker interferes in another storyline (we'll get to that eventually) with Ali's circle logo making it's first appearance. The "Coalition Undermining Net Tyranny" (C.U.N.T) are now convinced the hacker is Ali because of the logo and the hacks started during Ali's match, so they go to Paige and get her to make a handicap match pitting the 2 of them against Ali, Night 1 of Wrestlemania, first match, because if they hospitalise Ali, the mania stream will go uninterrupted. Corbin tells Sheamus to wait outside while he goes to Paige's office to make the match official. The "Web Awareness Network Keeping Entertainment Respectable" (W.A.N.K.E.R) have the upper hand over Ali. During the match, the screen flickers and shows backstage footage of Corbin and Paige talking, with Corbin saying "all the mistakes have been Sheamus's fault, how can you expect me to do my job when I'm paired with this vanilla dumba$$". Sheamus then gives Corbin a Brogue Kick, before Ali takes out Sheamus with a slingblade, hits the 054, 1-2-3. Ali picks up the win.)
Raw Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Shayna Baszler (By Technical Submission)
(Shayna earns her opportunity back at Elimination Chamber when she wins an Elimination Chamber match. Shayna says she remove the parasite that has infected Becky for the past year that is the Raw Women's Championship and make something of it. Becky says that just like Shayna's horsewomen teammate Ronda Rousey last year, she will come up short. Shayna makes Becky pass out to the Kirifuda Clutch, stunning the crowd in Raymond James Stadium, ending Becky's 363-day reign as champion. Becky then takes a hiatus from WWE due to her real life pregnancy.)
8-Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn (C) vs EC3 vs Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro vs Ricochet vs Jeff Hardy vs Elias vs Apollo Crews
(Following Elimination Chamber, Sami Zayn proclaims to be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of this generation, and is going to prove it by taking on everyone. Daniel Bryan then comes out and says the one thing he hasn't done is win the Intercontinental Championship, and he wants to do that by shutting Zayn's mouth at Wrestlemania. EC3 comes out and says that with all due respect to Daniel Bryan, he needs to step aside as it's time the top one percent reclaims The Intercontinental Championship. Ricochet comes out and says he's been on the main roster for over a year and still hasn't won a title, that needs to change. Jeff Hardy, Elias, and Apollo Crews then all come out and stake their claim for the IC title, with Sami saying that he'll take them all on, in a ladder match. Sami demands to Paige that she add his personal bodyguard Cesaro to add his bodyguard Cesaro to the match to increase his odds of winning, or else he'll no-show Wrestlemania and leave Smackdown without its Intercontinental Championship. Paige, gives in to Sami's demands and adds Cesaro to the match)
Triple Threat Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
John Morrison (C) vs Ivar w/Erik vs Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso
(Following their title defense at Elimination Chamber, Miz & Morrison continue to claim that they're the greatest tag team of the 21st century, with The Viking Raiders wanting another shot at the titles, and The Usos wanting in on the action. Due to health reasons, Miz is pulled from the match and the match becomes a normal triple threat match for the belts. Ivar gets the win for his team, winning with a Doomsault onto Morrison, to make The War Raiders 2 time Smackdown Tag Team Champions. Jimmy Uso does unfortunately get injured in this match.)
WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
(Alexa and Nikki invoke their rematch clause, leading to this match. Alexa & Nikki say that The Kabuki's used cheap, underhanded tactics to walk out the first time with those Women's tag titles, they won't be so lucky a 2nd time. Asuka & Kairi say that they've always been 10 steps ahead of Alexa & Nikki, and at Wrestlemania 36, just when they think they've caught up, they'll be 100 steps ahead.)
Falls Count Anywhere Match - if Kevin Owens loses, he has to become Seth Rollins' disciple
Seth Rollins w/Buddy Murphy vs Kevin Owens
(KO has had enough of Seth Rollins antics over the past month, paying off referee's to cost him matches, constant attacks from AOP and Murphy, he wants it all to end, so he challenges Rollins to a Falls Count Anywhere Match at Wrestlemania, so he can beat him all across Raymond James Stadium. Rollins says that he'll give Owens what he wants, on one condition, and that is if KO loses, he has to become one of his disciples. KO wins with an elbow off the Pirate Ship in Raymond James Stadium through a table.)
Alundra Blayze Women's Battle Royal
Sarah Logan wins by last eliminating Sasha Banks
(Entrants include: Sarah Logn, Sasha Banks, Ruby Riott, Zelina Vega, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Naomi, Lacey Evans, Carmella, Io Shirai, Mia Yim, Shotzi Blackheart, Chelsea Green, Raquel Gonzalez, Natalya, Tamina, and Dana Brooke)
World Heavyweight Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Braun Strowman
(The reborn Monster Among Men gets this opportunity back at Elimination Chamber when he wins the men's elimination chamber match. Strowman says that Nakamura won't be competing in a wrestling match, he will be competing in a one sided slaughter at Wrestlemania which he won't have the upper hand in. Heyman says that this is going to be a pure wrestling match, not a prison yard riot, that's something Strowman is more suited for. The match starts off is Shinsuke's favour, as he's throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Strowman, and it seems like he has the match won as he hits the Kinshasa, but Braun kicks out at 1 and immediately gets to his feet. Strowman then proceeds to dominate Nakamura, repeatedly throwing him around like nothing. Strowman then attempts a Running Power Slam, but Naka gets out and sweeps his leg, before hitting him with 2 Kinshasa's, but Strowman kicks out at 2. It's at this point Strowman just decimates Nakamura, with this being the beginning of the end. As Naka is sat in the corner, Heyman gives him a fist bump (ala Darby Allin and Sting vs Miro) to signal to go out fighting, with Nakamura throwing one last barrage, and one final Kinshasa, but it gets countered into a Running Power Slam, 1-2-3, Braun Strowman is a 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, ending Naka's 237 day reign as champion.)
Buried Alive Match
The Undertaker vs AJ Styles w/The Good Brothers
(Following Taker once again screwing him, AJ calls him out for a match, saying that 15 years ago he wouldn't of called out The Undertaker, but now, he's a frail old man named Mark Callaway who wants to come back, but his wife Michelle McCool won't let him, so he challenges Taker to a Buried Alive Match. Undertaker then appears on Raw via a vignette, and accepts AJ's challenge, saying that AJ, or Allen since we're calling each other by our real names, is a small man who has a big mouth, and he doesn't know whether AJ has a big set or is just stupid, because either way, his mouth is writing checks his a$$ can't cash. Taker says that AJ had to break the 4th wall to get his attention, and while he will admit there is some truth to what AJ is saying, because damn right AJ wouldn't want to have faced him 15 years ago, because back then he was a big fish in the small pond known as TNA, because back then he didn't have what it took to hang with The Phenom, like his legendary mania opponents did (a video package plays documenting all of Undertaker's Wrestlemania victims, showing highlights of his victories over Big Boss Man, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Razor Ramon, Jeff Jarrett, The British Bulldog, Vader, Kane, Shane McMahon, The Rock, Goldberg, Kurt Angle, Christian, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Miz, Bray Wyatt, Sting, John Cena, and #BROKEN Matt Hardy). Taker says that AJ waited till they were all gone, except for him, and now, Allen has stepped into something there's no way out of, and yeah he gets it, it's just business for AJ, but it became personal for him when he mentioned his wife, because he's done it now, he's gone and made a big mistake. This is exactly the same match as in real life, with Taker returning as The American Badass, burying AJ alive, and chokeslaming The Good Brothers through the stage with flames emerging from the hole they went through, writing them off TV.)
Night 2
NXT Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Charlotte Flair
(Charlotte says she needs to reclaim that magic she once had after all of these losses on pay per view, and that starts with winning the very first title she won, the NXT Women's Championship. Rhea says that she won't let Charlotte halt her momentum beyond repair, and prove that the new breed of NXT talent is better than the old.)
Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode w/Sonya Deville
(The Otis & Mandy storyline culminates here. Heavy Machinery challenge Ziggler & Roode to this match so they can finally put them in their place and so Otis can get his girl. Ziggler & Roode accept, just so they can finally end these fat slobs. On an episode of Smackdown in the leadup, it is revealed thanks to the Smackdown Hacker that Sonya Deville was the one who stole Mandy's phone and sent the text to Otis which made him show up late, and then payed off Ziggler to go in Otis's place, Mandy slaps Sonya upon hearing this and storms out of the WWE PC, and doesn't show up the next week on Smackdown, which is the go-home episode of Smackdown before Mania 36. Towards the end of the match, as Sonya is giving Dolph the upper hand, Mandy Rose runs down, yeets Sonya off the apron, slaps her, hits her with The Bed of Roses, which distracts Ziggler who then gets clotheslined, before being hit with a splash by Otis for the win, who then makes out with Mandy post-match.)
Casket Match for the WWE United States Championship
Aleister Black (C) vs Bobby Lashley
(Bobby wants one final match against Aleister for the US title to end this once and for all. Aleister agrees, saying that this needs to end once and for all, which is why this rivalry will be laid to rest in a Casket Match. Towards the end of the match, MVP runs down and low blows Aleister, hits the playmaker on Aleister, which leads to Bobby hitting Aleister with the Spear, and then making Aleister pass out to The Hurt Lock. Lashley and MVP role Aleister into the casket for the win, making Aleister's 287-day US title reign fade to black. The following day on Raw, Bobby and MVP dub themselves "The Hurt Business" and unveil a new version of the US Title.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
The Street Profits (C) vs The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E)
(Kofi & Big E beat Andrade "Cien" Almas & Angel Garza to get this match. The New Day say that The Street Profits may be the new hot tag team on the block, but they will come up short and allow The New Day to become 6-time Tag Team Champions. The Street Profits say they have a tremendous amount of respect for The New Day, they've been tagging for years, but they want all the smoke, and they ain't losing these belts for a long time.)
Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) w/Sarah Logan vs Bayley w/Sasha Banks
(The 2 biggest stars in the women's division over the past year finally collide. Bayley says that ever since she became "The real Bayley", she's been unbeatable, and Wrestlemania, Liv Morgan will be broken in half. Liv says that she's dominated everyone in the Women's division over the past year, and while Bayley was going through her edgelord emo phase, she was main eventing big 4 pay per views like Survivor Series, and at Wrestlemania 36, she will solidify her status as an all time great. The match is extremely back and forth, with Bayley constantly getting up after all of Liv's moves, and eventually, hitting a Bayley-to-Belly through the announce table. Bayley then hits 1 more Bayley-to-Belly for the win, ending Liv's 322-day reign as champion.)
Steel Cage Match
Randy Orton vs Edge
(On the Raw after the Royal Rumble, Edge comes out and cuts a promo following his return at the Royal Rumble the previous night, before Randy Orton comes down, and says that it's no secret he has a self destructive personality, but Edge was always there to help him through it, and for that, he's family. Randy then asks Edge if he wants to reunite Rated RKO. Before Edge can give Randy his answer, Randy brutally attacks Edge, hitting him with an RKO, and a conchairto, turning heel. A few weeks later, Edge's wife Beth Phoenix shows up on Raw to provide a medical update for her husband, when Randy Orton shows up, says that he did what he did because if Edge was gonna wrestle again full time, he was gonna end up in a wheelchair, so he did what he had to do, he wanted to make sure Beth had her husband, he wanted to make sure their kids have their dad. Randy then says that he loves Edge's kids and Edge more than Beth ever could. Beth then slaps Randy, which leads to Randy (because he's a dick) hitting an RKO on Beth. The following week on Raw, Edge shows up and beats the living pi$$ out of Orton, challenging him to a Steel Cage Match at Wrestlemania, which Orton accepts. Instead of the snoozefest of a Last Man Standing Match we got IRL, Edge wins by Spearing Orton through the Cage Wall.)
Firefly Funhouse Match
"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs John Cena
(On the Smackdown following Fastlane, John Cena appears on Smackdown, where he confronted by Bray Wyatt, who challenges Cena to a match at Wrestlemania 36, which Cena accepts. Bray says that "he" doesn't forget what you did to him at Hell in a Cell 2014 John, he doesn't forget how you drove apart his family, and he wants payback, which his why he doesn't want this match to be an ordinary match, no, he wants the match to take place, in the Firefly Funhouse, which Cena accepts. Big Match John says that this will be a character assassination of the most overhyped, overprivileged wrestler on the roster, Bray Wyatt, because he's gonna prove after all these years he's still Husky Harris. This is exactly the same match as in real life. Following this, a 6th slash is added to the Funhouse wall.)
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

WWE Championship
Brock Lesnar (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Drew McIntyre
(McIntyre earned this opportunity by winning the Royal Rumble. Drew says he chose to go for Brock because he's sick of Brock hogging the title without defending it for months while he goes hunting on a Canadian farm. Heyman says that Drew may think he's "The Chosen One" once again, but he's still the same guy who was let go in the summer of 2014, and he'll realise that once he's beaten, victimised, and conquered, by BROCK! LESNAR! This is the same match as in real life, with Drew kicking out of an F5 at 1, before hitting a series of Claymore's to become WWE Champion.)

NXT UK Takeover: Dublin
Date: April 26th, 2020
Location: 3Arena, Dublin, Ireland
Card
NXT Cruiserweight Championship
Jordan Devlin (C) vs Noam Dar
(Heel vs Heel, kind of. Dar wins a triple threat #1 contenders match over Mark Andrews and Oliver Carter to earn a shot at Devlin's NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Around this same time, Devlin has a falling out with NXT GM William Regal. Regal tells Devlin that since the title is property of NXT, he has to make regular defenses of the title on the black and gold brand, however, Devlin, refuses, saying that he's not getting paid enough, and unless Regal and the rest of WWE management pay him what he's worth, and until he gets that pay raise, NXT won't be seeing The Irish Ace anytime soon, and they can't strip him of the title either because (in kayfabe), when Devlin signed with WWE in 2016, he made sure there was a clause in his contract that if he ever won a title, he could not be stripped of it. Devlin (whose portraying a tweener role in the leadup to this match since it's in his home country of Ireland) says that since Regal and WWE management won't pay him what he's worth, he's now gonna make the Cruiserweight title the permanent property of the NXT UK brand, and that starts with his homecoming at Takeover: Dublin when he mops the floor with this Scottish Snake. Dar says that Devlin is nothing more than a Finn Balor clone, and he can't wait to ensure that Devlin's homecoming is a disappointment. Since this is in Ireland, Devlin is treated like the beloved conquering hero that he thinks he is, while Dar is booed out of the building for facing one of Ireland's own in Dublin. Devlin scores the win with The Devlin Slide.)
Joe Coffey w/Gallus vs Ilja Dragunov
(Following Dragunov inadvertently costing Joe Coffey in his UK title match against WALTER, Gallus and Dragunov seemingly go their separate ways. On the 02/13/2020 episode of NXT UK, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang score a victory in tag action over Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster, but after the match, Joe Coffey gets on the mic and asks for Ilja Dragunov to come out. Ilja Dragunov then makes his way to the ring to confront Gallus, only for Gallus to surprisingly attack their one-time ally, reverting them back to being heels. Coffey says that Dragunov owes The Gallus Firm a debt, and that debt has to be paid off. This then leads to a feud between Dragunov and Gallus, with a match between Joe Coffey and Ilja Dragunov being made for Takeover: Dublin. Dragunov scores the win after countering Coffey's Discus Lariat with a Torpedo Moscow. Both men shake hands after the match, with Joe telling Ilja that his his debt has been paid off with that win.)
NXT UK Tag Team Championships
Imperium (C) vs Moustache Mountain
(Moustache Mountain defeat Gallus, The Hunt, and Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews in a Fatal 4-Way match on NXT UK to become number one contenders. Tyler Bate and Trent Seven say the entire NXT UK locker room are already sick and tired of Imperium walking around and acting like they own the place, and it’s high time they put those 2 bit tracksuit wearing clowns out to pasture and take back the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovani Vinci say they are the greatest foreign exports that British wrestling has ever seen, but they don’t get so much as a thank you for restoring dignity and respect to this great sport, and if they have to beat some obedience back into a pair of ungrateful peasants like Moustache Mountain, then so be it. Bate and Seven make history by becoming the first tag team in NXT history to win the NXT Tag Team Championship and NXT UK Tag Team Championship as half of Imperium’s dominance comes to a screeching halt.)
No Disqualification Match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship
Kay Lee Ray (C) vs Piper Niven
(Following Kay Lee Ray making Toni Storm say "I Quit", Piper Niven goes after NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray after coming up short against her in the Triple Threat at Takeover: Blackpool II. During a match for the NXT UK Women’s Championship on the 03/26/2020 episode of NXT UK, KLR fakes a knee injury and uses an exposed turnbuckle to steal a victory over Niven. In early April, Niven defeats Jinny and Isla Dawn in a Triple Threat to get one more shot at The Psychotic Queen of Scots. KLR comes out after the match and calls Piper the "ultimate letdown". This causes Piper to snap and batter KLR with a steel chair. Over the next couple of weeks, both women brawl whenever they see each other backstage, which leads to Johnny Saint making this match No Disqualification. Piper says she’s tired of KLR’s mind-games, and at Takeover: Dublin, her title reign is over. KLR says for over 8 months, she’s proven that nobody is in her league, and she’ll prove that Piper is still second best. This is exactly the same match they had on the 11/19/2020 episode of NXT UK, but without interference from Jinny. KLR wins after a Gory Bomb onto a pile of thumbtacks to keep her reign intact.)
NXT UK Championship
GUNTHER (C) vs Finn Balor
(After defeating Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Portland, Finn Balor decides to spend some time over in NXT UK and sets his sights on GUNTHER’s NXT UK Championship. Finn declares that he was dominating Japan and Mexico way before he put NXT on the map, and that everyone, including GUNTHER, is still trying to catch up to him, but he hasn’t even scratched the surface in the United Kingdom, so if he has to dig deeper and rattle some cages, then he’ll gladly oblige. Ludwig Kaiser and Giovani Vinci interrupt and say that the surface of NXT UK belongs to The Ring General. They try to attack Bálor, but The Prince manages to fight them off and retreat. Over the next several weeks, Finn repeatedly calls out WALTER until he returns to NXT UK for a contract signing put together by Johnny Saint. Finn says he knows the UK wrestling scene better than GUNTHER knows himself, and he’ll bring his empire crashing down around his ears. GUNTHER says that Finn will learn firsthand why the mat is sacred, and that a scared little Prince is nothing compared to Der Ring General. Finn puts up a spirited fight in front of his fellow Irish folks, but GUNTHER prevails in the end, keeping his 387+ day title reign alive.)

Card
Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Alexa Bliss vs Nikki Cross vs Asuka vs Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks vs Ruby Riott vs Carmella vs Naomi
(Instead of the overbooked mess that was the Climb the Corporate Ladder Match, the Men's and Women's Money in the Bank Ladder matches are their own matches. Bianca Belair makes her debut on the Raw after Wrestlemania, and is 1 of the 4 women from Raw to be announced for the match. Bianca comes close to winning, hitting a K.o.D on Ruby Riott off a ladder, before climbing back up, only for Sasha Banks to climb up behind her and hit a Backstabber off the ladder, before climbing the ladder and stealing the Money in the Bank briefcase right from under Bianca's nose.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
The Street Profits (C) vs The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) w/MVP
(Following Wrestlemania 36, The Hurt Business begin going after the tag team champions The Street Profits. Lashley and MVP say that they would make a great addition to The Hurt Business, but they have to hand over the Raw Tag Team Championships first. The Street Profits decline, saying that they don't need 2 40-year-old men to guide their careers. At Money in the Bank, Dawkins and Ford think they're facing Lashley and MVP, only for MVP to come out wearing a suit, revealing that he doesn't feel the need to compete, and has found the perfect substitute. The Profits then get attacked from behind by Shelton Benjamin, who has now joined The Hurt Business. This sneak attack allows Lashley and Benjamin to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions, with Lashley becoming a double champ.)
Tag Team Match - if Sheamus and Corbin win, the hacker must reveal themself
Sheamus & King Corbin vs Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado)
(Following the hacker costing them at Wrestlemania, the People Regulating Internet Communal Kindness (P.R.I.C.K) decide to do everything in their power to make sure the hacker reveals themself, with them saying that until the hacker reveals their identity, every week they'll pull the name of a random smackdown superstar out of a hat, and you'll see what happens next. First week, Gran Metalik, who is mercilessly beaten by Corbin and Sheamus, with Corbin saying "Hacker, this will keep on happening until you reveal yourself". The next week, Lince Dorado is the unlucky one who gets thrown all across the ringside area by the "Team Officially Safeguarding Smackdown's Every Resource" (T.O.S.S.E.R). The following week, Corbin and Sheamus pull Carmella's name out of a hat, with them dragging Carmella out to the ring, but before they can attack her, the titantron flickers, and the hacker appears as a silhouette wearing a hood, with them saying with a distorted voice "As long as you let her go, I promise to reveal myself at Money in the Bank if-" Sheamus and Corbin then immediately let Carmella go, saying "alright, see you at Money in the Bank", with the hacker then responding with "I wasn't finished, because I'll only reveal myself if you win your match at Money in the Bank, because look at the enemies you've made". The titantrion and lights fade to black, and when they come back on, Lucha House Party are in the ring, with them beating the pi$$ out of Corbin and Sheamus. Before the match, the "Friday Action Twosome Neutralising Underhanded Threats Succinctly" (F.A.T.N.U.T.S) tell the cameramen to turn off every single screen in the arena, and the arena lights, so the hacker can't hack into them. Sheamus and Corbin then rig up spotlights around the ring that they brought out during their entrance that are powered by their own separate generator. The heels get the win after Corbin shines a spotlight in Gran Metalik's face, leading to him getting Brogue kicked by Sheamus for the win. Following the match, Sheamus and Corbin get the cameramen to turn everything back on, before Corbin says "Hacker, you know the agreement we had, we held up our end of the bargain by winning the match, so now you'll hold up yours". The Hacker then appears on the titantron, saying "Congratulations gentlemen, but before I reveal myself, I just want you to know that when it comes to justice, I'm ready, willing", but before he finishes, he takes off his hood, and says "AND GABLE!" Chad Gable is revealed as the hacker. Gable then appears in the ring and lays out both men with german suplexes before being chased off by security.)
Tournament Finals for the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship
Cesaro vs Ricochet
(After Adam Pearce becomes Smackdown GM, Sami Zayn began making the same insane demands that he was making to Paige to Adam Pearce, however, unlike Paige, Pearce is having none of it and to keep Sami in line, suspends him indefinitely and strips him of the IC title. Pearce then sets up an 8-man tournament to crown a new champion. Cesaro and Ricochet make it to the finals of this tournament, with The Swiss Cyborg getting past Drew Gulak and Otis, whilst The Future of Flight makes it past Robert Roode and The Miz to get to the finals.)
Raw Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) vs Kairi Sane w/Asuka
(Sane wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over Asuka, Dana Brooke, and Natalya to get this match. Shayna says that she's glad that Kairi is her first challenger, just like old times, because she's going to take a beating that'll send her packing from WWE. Kairi says that Shayna will be humiliated by her once again, just like old times. Following the match, Shayna savagely beats down Kairi, with it culminating with Shayna trapping Kairi's head in between the steel steps and the ring post, with Shayna kicking the steps into Kairi's head. Asuka tries to save Kairi, but Shayna lays her out at ringside. Kairi Sane is then stretchered to the back, this is done to write Kairi off of TV so she can move back to Japan.)
2 out of 3 Falls Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Viking Raiders (C) vs The Miz & John Morrisonn (2-1)
(Following Ivar winning back the titles for The Viking Raiders at Wrestlemania, Miz & Morrison invoke their rematch clause. Miz and Morrison say that because Miz was unwell, that put Morrison at an unfair disadvantage, and they demand a fair rematch. New Smackdown GM Adam Pearce allows them to have their rematch, but he makes it a 2 out of 3 Falls match to finally end the debate about who's the better team out of these 2 teams.)
No Holds Barred Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship - Sasha Banks is banned from ringside
Bayley (C) vs Liv Morgan
(Liv invokes her rematch clause to get her match against Bayley. In the leadup, Sasha and Bayley injure Liv's former Riott Squad stablemate Sarah Logan by doing what Bayley does best, (kayfabe) breaking her leg, which is done to write Sarah Logan off TV so she can go on Maternity Leave for her pregnancy, NOT BECAUSE SHE GETS RELEASED! THAT DOESN"T HAPPEN! SHE DOESN'T GET RELEASED! Liv tries to save Sarah, but is handcuffed to the ring ropes and is forced to watch. Liv becomes incensed with rage following this, and vows to make Bayley and Sasha's a living hell. Bayley says that she'll put this juvenile delinquent out to pasture. Following the match, Sasha comes down and it looks like Bayley and Sasha are gonna break Liv's leg, but Ruby Riott runs down for the save and fights off Bayley and Sasha. Upon getting to her feet, Liv pushes Ruby to the floor, telling her "I don't need your help, I want nothing to do with you" before storming to the back.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Braun Strowman (C) vs EC3
(Instead of getting released during Black Wednesday, EC3 becomes #1 contender to Braun Strowman's World Heavyweight Championship by beating Daniel Bryan and Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple threat #1 contenders match. EC3 says that it is his destiny to become World Heavyweight Champion, and he's going to mop the floor with that thumb who has a broom for a beard. Strowman says that EC3 will be entering a world of hurt at Money in the Bank. EC3 debuts a new look, now sporting the bald cut and goatee he has with his Control Your Narrative gimmick, but still being the Top One Percenter)
WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre (C) vs Seth Rollins w/Buddy Murphy
(Shortly after Wrestlemania, Seth Rollins attacks Drew McIntyre on an episode of Raw. Seth says that he doesn't want to do this, but he has to for the greater good, because Drew McIntyre will be a great champion one day, but today isn't that day, because as of now, Drew McIntyre isn't a leader. Drew says that Seth is the most delusional piece of sh*t he's ever met, and he won't let Seth win his WWE Championship.)
Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Andrade "Cien" Almas w/Zelina Vega & Angel Garza vs Aleister Black vs Rey Mysterio vs Kevin Owens vs Daniel Bryan vs Shinsuke Nakamura w/Paul Heyman vs Jeff Hardy vs Elias
(Not much story, all 8 men want the briefcase. Andrade and Jeff Hardy take out most of the field after El Idolo hits The Charismatic Enigma with a Spanish Fly off a set of ladders. Zelina Vega tries to steal the briefcase for Almas, only to be intercepted at the last second by Owens. Vega attempts a hurricanrana, but Owens counters and powerbombs Vega over the top rope onto Almas and Garza. This brings it down to Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan, with the 2 exchanging in a strike battle on top of the ladder, with The King of Strong Style prevailing and becoming Mr. Money in the Bank.)
