Location: Full Sail University, Winter Park, Florida
Card
Fight Pit Match - Kurt Angle is the special guest referee
Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher
(Following The Broserweights having to vacate the NXT Tag Team Championships, Matt Riddle forms a tag team with Timothy Thatcher. They compete in a Tag Team Tournament to crown the new champions, where they lose to Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovani Vinci in the finals, which brings the first taste of NXT US gold to Imperium. After the match, Thatcher turns heel on Riddle, attacking him and locking him in an Ankle Lock. The 2 then begin feuding over the next several weeks, leading to the first ever Fight Pit at Takeover: In Your House, with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle being named the special guest referee. This is Matt Riddle's last match in NXT, as he gets called up to Smackdown shortly after this.)
Triple Threat Match
Finn Balor vs Damian Priest vs Cameron Grimes
(On an episode of NXT, Finn Balor is attacked backstage by an unknown assailant before his match against Cameron Grimes. Their match is rescheduled for the following week's NXT, where Damian Priest attacks Balor during the match while the ref is distracted, allowing Grimes to win, with this attack turning Balor face. Priest says that Balor is a relic of the past for NXT, who he will as a stepping stone to ascend to greatness. Balor says that if Priest wants a fight, he knows where to find him. During a contract signing, both men are attacked by Grimes, who wants in on the action. Grimes says that he didn't need Priest's help to win that match, and can easily beat both at the same time to go TO, THE MOON! Balor wins after a Coup De Grace on Grimes. After the match, Damian Priest turns face and shakes Balor's hand out of resepct.)
Tommaso Ciampa vs Karrion Kross w/Scarlett (By Technical Submission)
(Following his debut at Takeover: Tampa Bay, Karrion Kross makes his in ring debut and begins squashing enhancement talent. After a few weeks of squashing enhancement talent, Ciampa confronts Kross, saying that Kross had to put the NXT roster on notice by attacking its star attraction, and he will now face the consequences for that. Kross says that Ciampa will experience armageddon at Takeover: In Your House, because the clock is ticking till that day, tick-tock. Kross squashes Ciampa in 6 minutes.)
NXT North American Championship
Dominik Dijakovic (C) vs Johnny Gargano w/Candice Lerae
(Following their shock heel turns, Johnny & Candice say that they always put the other members on the roster first over them, to give them opportunities, but look where that got them, nowhere, so they're going to start doing things "The Gargano Way". This draws the attention of North American Champion Dominik Dijakoic, who says that Johnny carries the imaginary flag for NXT when no one asked him too, and that he spends more time looking in the mirror at himself than looking at his wife. Candice then slaps Dijakovic, leading to The Rare Breed issuing a challenge to Johnny Gargano for a match at Takeover: In Your House, which Gargano accepts, only if it's a North American Championship match.)
NXT Championship
Adam Cole (C) w/The Undisputed Era vs Keith Lee
(Despite losing the NXT North American Championship in Tampa, Keith Lee rebounds and defeats Damian Priest on an episode of NXT to become the number one contender. The Undisputed Era attack Lee afterwards, with Lee taking a No Man’s Land from Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly, and a Last Shot from Cole. In the build, Cole calls himself the greatest NXT Champion of all time, and the man who has carried NXT for the last year. Cole says that Lee may be limitless, but he will never be undisputed. Lee says that every man eventually reaches his limit, and Adam Cole will bask in the glory of the new NXT Champion, Keith Lee. The Undisputed Era interfere in the match, but Lee is able to fight them all off. Cole takes advantage and hits a Panama Sunrise, then follows up with a Last Shot... but Lee kicks out! Cole goes for another Last Shot, but Lee counters into a Big Bang Catastrophe to become the new NXT Champion and end Cole’s 372 day reign as champion.)
8-Woman Ladder Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Io Shirai vs Dakota Kai w/Raquel Rodriguez vs Tegan Nox vs Candice Lerae vs Mia Yim vs Shotzi Blackheart vs Mercedes Martinez
(Following her conquering of Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania, Rhea proclaims to be the standard-bearer of NXT, the one who every woman in the back should aspire to be like. Io Shirai cuts this promo and says that no one asked for Rhea to do this whole "I beat Charlotte and that means I'm better than everyone" speech, and she better stop before she kicks her teeth right down her throat. Dakota Kai then comes and says that not only did no one ask for Rhea to come out here, neither did anyone ask for Io to, because they all pale in comparison to the one true star of NXT's Women's division, Dakota Kai. Tegan Nox then comes out and says that Dakota's ego knows no bounds, she couldn't stand that she was becoming more popular amongst the fans than her, so she stabbed her in the back and recruited the Diesel knockoff that is Raquel, and as for Rhea, if she wants to prove she's the best, than she needs to beat her legitimately, not because she ends up breaking her leg. Candice Lerae then comes out and says that she's sick of letting everyone else have all these opportunities, it's time she has one. Mia Yim, Shotzi Blackheart, and Mercedes Martinez all come out and you get the point. William Regal says that it's clear all 7 of these ladies want a shot at the champion, so she'll give it to them, in a Ladder Match.)

Raw Tag Team Championships
The Hurt Business (MVP & Shelton Benjamin) (C) w/Bobby Lashley vs Cedric Alexander & Apollo Crews
(Shortly following Wrestlemania, Crews is traded to Raw and forms a tag team with Cedric Alexander. Together, they become #1 contenders to the tag team championships by beating The New Day, The Street Profits, and Andrade & Angel Garza in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match. MVP says that Crews and Alexander are 2 upstanding citizens and would make a perfect addition to The Hurt Business, it's just a shame they have to be beaten down. Crews & Alexander say that they don't need to be a part of some club for 40-year-old men to succeed. MVP activates the freebird rule to the title reign so Bobby Lashley can defend his US title later on in the night. Towards the end of the match, Crews completes a hot tag to Cedric, and the first thing Cedric does is immediately hit Apollo with a superkick, turning heel. Cedric then beats the hell out of Apollo, throwing him into the ringsteps and hitting him with the Lumbar Check, all while The Hurt Business are smiling. Cedric then gets Apollo on the apron, tags him in, throws him back into the ring, and allows Shelton Benjamin to plant Apollo with Paydirt for the win. Cedric officially joins The Hurt Business post match when he shakes MVP's hand. Cedric explains his actions the next night on Raw, saying that he knew that partnership with Apollo wasn't going to go anywhere, so he couldn't scoff at the opportunity to learn under 3 former world champions in MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin, and not only would he rather learn, he'd rather earn.)
Smackdown Women's Championship
Bayley (C) w/Sasha Banks vs Ruby Riott
(Following her saving Liv at Money in the Bank, the now face Ruby Riott enters into a feud with Bayley and Sasha Banks. Ruby says that Bayley can't keep going around trying to end careers by dropping steps onto people's legs that are wrapped with steel chairs, especially someone who she considers family. Bayley says that's ironic that Ruby says she considers Liv family, considering she spent the past few months trying to end her career, just like she'll do to Ruby at Backlash. In the leadup, Bayley and Sasha beat Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross for the Women's Tag Team Championships, allowing Bayley to become a double champion. Also in the leadup, Ruby heavily tries to convince Liv Morgan to be in her corner, saying that she knows she's wronged Liv in the past 6 months with the things she's said and done, but she apologises for everything she ever did to her, she forgives Liv for the stuff Liv did to her, and Liv needs to do the same. Liv tells Ruby that she always held her back, made her do everything for her, made her life a living hell in those last few months of The Riott Squad, and not only that, Ruby told her that she never needed her to begin with, and on top of that, where was she when Sarah had her leg broken by Bayley and Sasha, she didn't come out to help, which shows she doesn't care, so if she isn't even willing to save Sarah, why should she have Ruby's back, she can go it alone. Following the match, Bayley and Sasha grab two kendo sticks, and just as they're about to hit Ruby with them, Liv Morgan's music hits, and she comes out wielding a chair, but stops once she gets to the midway point of the entrance ramp, sets up the chair, and just sits in it, all while Sasha and Bayley batter Ruby with kendo sticks. As Bayley & Sasha leave, Liv then enters the ring with the chair, hoists it over her head as if she's about to attack Ruby, but, with tears in her eyes, can't bring herself to do it, drops the chair, and heads to the back. Later on in the PPV, Ruby confronts Liv backstage about why she didn't help, why didn't she hit her with the chair, with Liv telling Ruby "I can't take you continuing to ask for forgiveness from me, I need you to leave me alone, I need space". Liv then takes her stuff and leaves the arena.)
Chad Gable & Mustafa Ali vs Sheamus & King Corbin
(On the Smackdown after MITB, the Consortium Opposing Chad's Keyboard Sabotage (C.O.C.K.S) offer Chad a contract, with Corbin saying "Originally, Adam Pearce wanted you arrested, I think you should've been arrested you little punk but Pearce decided that he wants you back on Smackdown, can't believe you did it all by yourself Chad, Pearce respects the hustle". Chad reads the contract, signs it, with Sheamus then saying "Now, Adam Pearce owns you, fella, and any accidents that happen in the workplace, are nice and legal, fella". Chad says he's not surprised, and that it was very important that he didn't do this alone. The lights then go down, the screen flickers, the hacker appears again in silhouette form, takes off his hood to reveal he's, Mustafa Ali. The lights then go back up, and Ali is in the ring, with Ali and Gable fighting off Corbin and Sheamus.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Ricochet (C) vs Elias
(Elias becomes #1 contender to the Intercontinental Championship following a Battle Royal victory. Elias says that Ricochet proclaims to be the One and Only, but after their match he can add some words to that, being The One and Only man who lost the Intercontinental Championship to Elias. Ricochet says that Elias has constantly come up short time and time again, and he won't finally break through at his expense. Elias tears his pec in this match.)
WWE United States Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) w/MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Cedric Alexander vs Kevin Owens
(KO beats Angel Garza and Buddy Murphy to become #1 contender to The Almighty's US title. KO says that he finds it cute that Lashley, MVP, and Benjamin decided to become the reincarnated version of The Nation of Domination, because that's gonna be the only positive about The Hurt Business after Bobby loses the US title. Lashley says that he's the CEO of The Hurt Business, and KO will be the latest person to have that world of hurt inflicted on them.)
Raw Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) vs Asuka
(Asuka sets her sights on Baszler following her banishment of Kairi Sane from WWE. Asuka says she is going to make Shayna pay for what she did to her friend. Shayna says that this thing of a Japanese woman trying to avenge Kairi Sane by beating her for a championship seems very familiar, she just can't put her finger on it, but just like whatever happened last time, Asuka won't be walking out as champion.)
Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Braun Strowman (C) vs EC3 vs Daniel Bryan
(Following MITB, EC3 continues to target Strowman and his World Heavyweight Championship, costing him in a match against Daniel Bryan. Bryan says that he won't accept getting a victory over the World Heavyweight Champion like that, and wants a rematch against Strowman for the World Heavyweight Championship where EC3 is banned, which Adam Pearce agrees to give to him. EC3 turns heel by brutally attacking Bryan before the match, throwing him off the stage. EC3 says he's tried his best to continue to be this nice guy that does things for the fans, but he can't take it anymore, and he needs that World Heavyweight Championship to get some damn respect. Strowman says that not only is EC3 trying to take his championship, he's stealing his attitude, and is gonna pay for that, and as for Bryan, he won't be so lucky after that fluke win he got over him.)
WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre (C) vs AJ Styles (By Disqualification)
(AJ returns from being buried alive following Money in the Bank and goes after WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, a title shot he secures after defeating Aleister Black, where after the match, he jams Aleister Black's right eye into the corner of the Steel Steps. AJ says that his time in the "phantom zone" has made him re-evaluate his career, and he realises he hasn't been the same since he's been WWE Champion, he needs that belt back. Drew says that AJ was a phenomenal champion, but it's not his time anymore, it's Drew McIntyre's time, and AJ won't get in the way of that. In the closing moments of the match, AJ has Drew set up for a Phenomenal Forearm, but before he goes for it, the lights go out, and when they come back up, Aleister Black is in the ring, and Aleister's right eye is a mess, as the color of it is now white and it's surrounded by a mysterious black & white substance. AJ goes for The Phenomenal Forearm, but Black hits AJ with a Black Mass, causing a DQ. After Black hits a Black Mass on AJ, he turns around and sprays Drew McIntyre in the eyes, turning Black heel. Black then lays out Drew with a Black Mass, before hoisting up McIntyre's WWE Championship.)
Edge vs Randy Orton
(On an episode of Raw in May, Randy Orton confronts Edge and tells him that he was the better wrestler in their Steel Cage match, but he couldn't beat him in a straight-up wrestling match, which leads to Orton challenging Edge to a straight up wrestling match. There is no "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" tagline for this match either. This is the same match as in real life, with Edge unfortunately tearing his triceps.)

Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Viking Raiders (C) vs Sheamus & King Corbin
(Following Backlash, the Duo Issuing Corporate Knockouts (D.I.C.K) beat Ali and Gable to become #1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Team Championships after injuring them before the match backstage. The Viking Raiders say that it doesn't matter what ridiculous name Sheamus and Corbin have at the time of the pay per view, they're not walking out with their titles.)
Tag Team Match for Shinsuke Nakamura's Money in the Bank briefcase
Shinsuke Nakamura (MITB) & a mystery partner (KUSHIDA) w/Paul Heyman vs The Dirty Dawgs (Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode)
(Following Backlash, The Dirty Dawgs, each of whom has had previous rivalries with Shinsuke Nakamura begin feuding with him. Ziggler says as a former Money in the Bank winner, he thinks that Shinsuke Nakamura was the worst possible person who could've won the match this year, he knows Shinsuke will taint the briefcase, so that Money in the Bank Briefcase should be in the hands of someone who has not only won it before, but someone who had the greatest cash in of all time. Roode adds on to Ziggler's comments, saying that he has Shinsuke's number, as he has taken not 1, but 2 things from "The King of Soft Style", and he would love to make that 3 things, so The Dirty Dawgs are challenging Shinsuke to a Tag Team Match for his Money in the Bank briefcase. Nakamura accepts, with Heyman saying his client will find the perfect partner to help him deal with The Dirty Dawgs. Nakamura's mystery partner is revealed to be NXT's KUSHIDA (this isn't a call up for KUSHIDA, it's only a one-off). Nakamura & KUSHIDA score the win, with KUSHIDA making Ziggler tap out to The Hoverboard Lock while Naka takes out Roode with a Kinshasa.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Ricochet (C) vs Daniel Bryan
(Daniel Bryan wins a Fatal 4-Way Match over Drew Gulak, The Miz, and John Morrison to earn a shot at Ricochet's Intercontinental Championship. Bryan says the IC title is the 1 title that he hasn't won, he needs it in order to become a grand slam champion, and not only that, Ricochet is someone who he has wanted to face for the longest time, so it would be his honor to deliver a match of the year candidate with The Future of Flight for one of the most prestigious titles in this company. Ricochet says that Bryan has been a huge influence in his career, when he signed with WWE back in 2018, he didn't think he would ever get the chance to face off against The Leader of The Yes Movement, but now he gets to finally have his dream match, and he has the honor of defending the IC title against him. The 2 go 20 minutes, with the closing moments of the match seeing Ricochet counter Bryan's Running Knee with a Recoil, followed up by a 630 to retain the IC title. Both men shake hands after the match.)
Tables Match for the WWE United States Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) w/The Hurt Business vs Kevin Owens
(Owens continues to feud with The Hurt Business following Backlash. KO tries to drive a wedge between Cedric Alexander and the other Hurt Business members, saying that these GQ rejects really had to go out of their way to recruit Cedric Alexander just so they could no longer be called a group of 40-year-old men. Lashley says that it doesn't matter who is in The Hurt Business, the goal remains the same, dominate and collect.)
Steel Cage Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Bayley (C) w/Sasha Banks vs Ruby Riott
(Ruby continues to go after Bayley following the beating she took at Backlash. Ruby says that Bayley claims to be this badass, yet she hides behind Sasha Banks like the coward she really is. Bayley continues to taunt Ruby with mentions of Liv Morgan, saying that she was always the main attraction of The Riott Squad, and mentions of Sarah Logan, saying she enjoyed the screams of pain and agony Sarah made when she cried out for help after her leg was shattered, which causes Ruby to snap and beat the living hell out of Bayley, while also telling Bayley that after Extreme Rules, she's going to want to sue her, because she's gonna be in jail, the reason why she's gonna be in jail? Animal cruelty, because she's gonna beat Bayley like the b*tch that she is. Adam Pearce makes the match a Steel Cage Match to insure Sasha Banks doesn't get involved.)
Last Man Standing Match
Seth Rollins w/Buddy Murphy vs Rey Mysterio
(There is no Eye for an Eye match. On the Raw after Money in the Bank, an unstable Seth Rollins brutally attacks Rey Mysterio, Curb Stomping Rey into the concrete and unmasking him. Seth says that following his loss to Drew McIntyre at Money in the Bank, he fell into a dark place, he wasn't sure if he would ever escape, but without darkness, there can be no light, but now he's seen the light, he's seen it brighter than he ever could before, and that is all thanks to Rey Mysterio, because what happened to Rey Mysterio was necessary, it was a sacrifice for the greater good, it was the moment he needed to be the leader he was destined to be. Rey says that he didn't have a problem with Seth and his whole messiah charade, but after he damaged his eye, it's become personal, not only does he want to make sure Seth never walks again, so he challenges him to a Last Man Standing Match. Seth wins by throwing Rey through a sheet of glass, with Rey having to be helped to the back post match.)
Submission Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) vs Asuka
(Shayna and Asuka continue their feud following Backlash, with Mickie James setting up a Submission Match between the 2 for Extreme Rules to determine which submission is superior, The Kirifuda Clutch, or The Asuka Lock. Shayna says that Asuka is like a stain on the carpet, she just won't go away, so she'll have to make her. Asuka says she is going to ensure that she gets revenge for Kairi Sane once and for all.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Braun Strowman (C) vs Jeff Hardy
(Jeff Hardy beats EC3, Cesaro, and Matt Riddle (who is called up to Smackdown after Backlash) in a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match to become next in line for Braun Strowman. Hardy says that Strowman is in a dark place, he's let his inner demons consume him so he can become this rampaging monster, and those demons that have consumed him are the World Heavyweight Championship, which he's going to win again a sign to everyone that you can overcome your inner demons. Strowman says that no one cares about Jeff's sob story about his inner demons, all that matters is he's gonna get these hands.)
Triple Threat Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre (C) vs AJ Styles vs Aleister Black
(Following Black's attack on both McIntyre and Styles at Backlash, Aleister Black (now sporting his Malakai Black look he uses in AEW) explains his actions the next night on Raw. Black says that after he lost the US title, he lost his killer edge, as he failed to win the Money in the Bank, and then he failed to become #1 contender to the WWE Championship at Backlash, but when AJ damaged his right eye, it awoken something inside him, it had awoken an untammable beast, who is hellbent on making his mission a success by any means necessary, so that meant showing off some new tricks, new tricks that will cause his competition to suffer, because there is only 1 thing on his mind, the WWE Championship, and he's not gonna stop until he has it. AJ Styles interrupts, and says that if it wasn't for this goth kids from South Park ripoff, he would be standing here a 4-time WWE Champion. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre comes out, and a brawl emerges between the 3. Mickie James see's the hostility between the 3 men, and sets up a Triple Threat Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. Drew says that he needs to prove he can beat AJ after that DQ at Backlash that Black caused, and as for Black, he can worship the devil all he wants, but it's not gonna get him the WWE Championship.)

Card
Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships
Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovani Vinci) (C) vs Breezango vs Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs Legado Del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro) w/Santos Escobar
(On the 05/12/20 episode of NXT, Imperium beat the team of Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher to win the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships. Other than that, there isn't much story to this match other than all four teams want the titles.)
Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher
(Following a qualifying match for the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match that sees both men lose to Dexter Lumis in a match where Lumis gets injured and is forced to be pulled from the match, Finn Balor (the man who wasn't submitted by Lumis in the match) is granted a second chance match against KUSHIDA (who wasn't pinned in his triple threat qualifying match involving Cameron Grimes and Drake Maverick), where Thatcher costs Balor the match. Thatcher says that because Balor didn't tap, he now doesn't have an opportunity at the North American Championship. Balor says that Thatcher is a sore loser who is gonna catch the beating he deserves.)
5-Man Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship
Damian Priest (C) vs Bronson Reed vs Johnny Gargano vs Cameron Grimes vs KUSHIDA
(Following Damian Priest winning the North American Championship from Dominik Dijakovic at The Great American Bash TV Special, Damian Priest requests to William Regal that he sets up a 5 man ladder match for Takeover Boston, because he wants to show all the NXT fans that he's a fighting champion, which William Regal agrees to do. A number of Triple Threat qualifying matches are set up. Cameron Grimes defeats KUSHIDA and Drake Maverick to qualify, Johnny Gargano defeats Ridge Holland and Oney Lorcan to qualify, Bronson Reed defeats Roderick Strong and Killian Dain to qualify, and due to an ankle injury suffered by Dexter Lumis, who defeats Finn Balor and Timothy Thatcher in a Triple Threat to qualify, Lumis is pulled from the match due to an ankle injury and replaced by KUSHIDA, who defeats Finn Balor in a second chance qualifying match. It's The Archer of Infamy who retains his title in the end.)
Adam Cole vs Pat McAfee
(Following him losing the NXT Championship to Keith Lee at In Your House, Adam Cole makes an appearance on The Pat McAfee show, which goes horribly wrong with Adam walking out on the set and slapping Pat after Pat treas him like sh*t the whole time. Pat then shows up on NXT a few weeks later, attacking Adam Cole and punting him. Adam (who along with the rest of The UE are now faces as a result) challenges Pat to a match at Takeover Boston, guaranteeing to send that nerd back to football. Pat accepts, vowing to prove that Adam is a soft little b*tch.)
NXT Women's Championship
Io Shirai (C) vs Dakota Kai w/Raquel Rodriguez
(Following a title defense over Tegan Nox, the now babyface Io Shirai is attacked by Dakota Kai and Raquel Rodriguez. The following week, Kai beats Rhea Ripley in a #1 contenders match to secure a title shot against Shirai. Kai says that everyone has placed Io Shirai on this unobtainable pedestal, where everyone thinks she's so great, she's untouchable, she's the best, yeah right, because she's never beaten Dakota Kai, because she's in Io's head, and Io knows it, and at Takeover, she will be walking out the new NXT Women's Champion. Io says that Dakota is acting like she's some big star, but until she betrayed Tegan Nox, no one knew who Dakota was, until they found she was a manipulator who uses people, Candice Lerae, Tegan Nox, and eventually, Raquel Rodriguez, and behind all of that treachery is the same old little girl who was terrified of Shayna Baszler, and just like she was of Shayna, at Takeover 30, she will be terrified of her.)
NXT Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Karion Kross w/Scarlett (By Technical Submission)
(Following Keith Lee's title victory over Adam Cole, Karrion Kross makes it his mission to get Lee's attention and secure his title. He starts by brutalising Dominik Dijakovic, forcing him to leave on a stretcher following their match. Kross says that there's 2 ways he can do things with Keith Lee, the easy way, where he gives him his shot at the title, or the hard way, where Lee's loved ones continue to suffer. Following an attempted attack on Mia Yim, Lee gives Kross a shot at the title, saying he's going to pay with his life. Kross wins by making Lee pass out to the Kross Jacket, but also injuring his shoulder in the match, and having to vacate the title the following week. This is also Lee's final NXT match.)

Roman Reigns makes his triumphant return after months away due to injuries, wearing a shirt that says "Wreck Everyone and Leave". Towards the end of the match, Roman accidentally hits the ref with a Superman Punch, allowing Naka to hit a german suplex on Reigns and get him into position for the Kinshasa, when Paul Heyman enters the ring, and shockingly low blows Nakamura. Heyman then gets Roman to his feet, and offers a handshake to Roman, which Roman accepts, officially turning Roman heel. Roman then hits a spear on Nakamura, a new ref runs down, Roman goes for the pin, 1-2-3, Roman is now Mr. Money in the Bank. (Not much story, all 4 teams want the tag team championships.)
WWE United States Championship
Bobby Lashley (C) w/The Hurt Business vs Apollo Crews
(Crews returns in early August and sets his sights straight for The Hurt Business following Alexander's betrayal. Apollo says that he may not be able to get his hands on Cedric for turning on him, but he'll sure as hell take the US title from the clutches of Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Business. MVP says Apollo is weak for not accepting The Hurt Business's offer, and Lashley will make him suffer for it.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
Sheamus & King Corbin (C) vs Chad Gable & Mustafa Ali
(The blowoff to the Smackdown Hacker storyline. Towards the end of the match, all of the lights in the arena and the trons fade to black, 1 by 1, where across the titantron say "you were warned", with the lights coming back on, but a number of men wearing the oringal Smackdown Hacker mask surround the ring. This distracts Corbin who gets hit with a Chaos Theory into the 054, allowing Ali and Gable to become the new tag team champions.)
Stretcher Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) vs Asuka
(After coming up short in their Submission Match at Extreme Rules, Asuka wants one more match with Shayna Baszler... a Stretcher Match! Asuka says that she wants Shayna to feel the same pain she inflicted on Kairi when she had to be stretchered away at Money in the Bank, and that same pain is gonna cost her the Raw Women's Championship. Shayna says that she loves that Asuka wants a Stretcher match, cause she gets to go 2 for 2 in sending away The Kabuki Warriors on a stretcher.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Ricochet (C) vs EC3
(EC3 turns his attention back to the IC title following Extreme Rules. EC3 says that he hasn't been the same since he lost that title, he needs that belt back, and he doesn't care if he upsets all the uneducated marks & keyboard warriors online by beating Ricochet for that belt, he is a star, and Ricochet just doesn't have the starpower required to hold that title. Following the match, Sami Zayn returns with his version of the IC title, as the 2 IC Champs faceoff.)
WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Bayley & Sasha Banks (C) vs The Riott Squad
(On the 08/07/20 episode of Smackdown, Bayley and Sasha are about to break Ruby Riott's leg, when Liv Morgan makes her return after a month away and fights off Bayley and Sasha Banks, with Ruby then offering her hand. Liv then grabs Ruby's hand, pulls her up, and the 2 women embrace, reforming the Riott Squad. Liv and Ruby promise to make Bayley and Sasha pay for everything at Summerslam, while Bayley and Sasha say that they can't wait to break both of their legs at Summerslam. Liv gets the win with Ob-Liv-ion on Sasha.)

Drew McIntyre (C) vs AJ Styles vs Aleister Black vs Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton

Randy Orton (who's just hospitalised Christian, Ric Flair, Big Show, and Shawn Michaels) then comes out and says that he has sent multiple legends to the ER this year, he deserves to be rewarded for it and wants a title shot. Drew says he'll take all 4 of them on at the same time.)
Firefly Funhouse Match
"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs Triple H
(Following Mania, a 6th slash is added to the funhouse wall, and we don't see Bray for a bit as The Fiend takes its toll on him. In July, Bray re-emerges, in NXT, to confront his father (upon seeing Bray in NXT, Finn Balor freaks the f*ck out). NXT wrestlers slowly get injured one by one. Bray's "father", Triple H, eventually confronts Bray to get him to stop, and Bray says the only way for it to stop, is if they have a Firefly Funhouse Match at Summerslam. The match is a rundown of Triple H's career, all the betrayals, all the hurt. There's a curtain call throwback, a drive through wedding between Triple H and the Vince doll, but Bray says to Triple H "the worst betrayals are the ones you don't see coming, when you raise us up, nurture us, but fail to protect us. You can create us, but that doesn't give you the right to destroy us, you can put a suit on a monster, but that won't soak up the blood, that won't pick up the pieces, of the Chyna dolls you've broken". Bray then becomes The Fiend, defeats Triple H, and there are now 7 slashes in the wall.)
Triple Threat TLC Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - Money in the Bank Cash-in
Braun Strowman (C) vs Jeff Hardy vs Roman Reigns w/Paul Heyman (MITB Holder)
(After coming up short against The Monster Among Men at Extreme Rules, Jeff wants another match against Strowman at Summerslam, one where he has the advantage, in an environment where he thrives, T, L, C. Strowman accepts, saying it doesn't matter what type of match it is, he'll take great pride in battering Jeff once again. Towards the end of the match, Jeff hits a Swanton to Strowman through a stack of tables outside the ring, where Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman come down with a referee, Roman cashes in to add himself into the match, climbs the ladder, unhooks the belt to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.)

Midway through the match, Sasha tweaks her knee and works the match on an injured knee, which causes her and Bayley's downfall as Liv and Ruby are able to get the win over them after Liv hits Sasha with an Ob-Liv-ion onto a Steel Chair wrapped in Barbed Wire. Following the match, Sasha is receiving medical attention for her knee, but she refuses it, with Bayley instead helping her to the back, with Bayley then pushing Sasha to the ground and beating the crap out of her. Bayley concludes the beatdown with a DDT onto the concrete floor, with Sasha leaving on a stretcher.)

Riddle says that Miz's spotlight is fading fast, so he's trying to latch on to the new hot commodity to remain relevant.)

Sami Zayn vs EC3 vs Cesaro
( On the smackdown after Summerslam, Sami Zayn tells Ricochet that he can stop being interim champion now because the true champion has returned. Ricochet says that Sami went AWOL for months and was stripped of the title, meaning the title he's holding now isn't legitimate. EC3 then comes out and says that Sami can't just cut the line, he has to earn his shot at the title. Sami also tries to get Cesaro to once again be his bodyguard, but Cesaro refuses, saying that he's been making a name for himself on his own while Sami was getting himself suspended, turning Cesaro face, with Cesaro saying he would also love another shot at Ricochet's IC title. Adam Pearce then sets up this match.)
AJ Styles vs Keith Lee
(On the Raw after Summerslam, Keith Lee makes his main roster debut with no shitty entrance music or singlet in sight. Keith interrupts AJ, saying he's had one shot too many at the WWE championship, and it's time he faces a challenge in a man who is limitless. AJ says that Keith Lee may have been a big shark in a small pond that is NXT, but on Raw, he's just another goldfish in a big ocean.)
Casket Match for the WWE Championship
Drew McIntyre (C) vs Aleister Black
(On the Raw after Summerslam, Drew McIntyre is victorious over Angel Garza in singles action, when he's attacked from behind by Aleister Black, who sprays Drew with the black mist and hits him with a Black Mass. Black says that he wants 1 more shot at the WWE Championship, because Drew McIntyre is like a championship stallion that wins a lot of races, but eventually, that horse slows down, and it's to the point where they have to be taken back behind the shed, and have 2 put in them, and at Payback, that's what's going to happen to Drew McIntyre, because he wants Drew... in a Casket Match! Drew accepts, saying Black's left eye will match his right and he'll be laid to rest.)
Triple Threat Elimination Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Jeff Hardy vs Braun Strowman
(On the Smackdown after Summerslam, Roman Reigns comes out with his new final boss music and is accomponied by Paul Heyman. Roman declares that The Big Dog is dead, he is no longer that person who does things for his fans, it's time he does things for his family, which is why he is now declaring himself "The Head of the Table" and "The Tribal Chief", and everyone will acknowledge him. Braun Strowman then comes out and tells Roman that he has something that doesn't belong to him, something that he didn't pin him for, and he wants it back. Jeff Hardy then comes and tells Roman that this isn't him, he wouldn't just let The Big Dog fade away and be classified as obsolete, but since he has so he could become a coward who hides behind Paul Heyman, he deserves to have his a$$ kicked. Adam Pearce sets up this match for the main event.)

Sami wins after handcuffing Ricochet to the ladder to become a 2-time Intercontinental Champion.)
Raw Women's Championship
Shayna Baszler (C) vs Mia Yim
(Mia makes her main roster debut shortly after Summerslam (not as RECKONING), and sets her sights on an old rival. Mia says that Shayna doesn't have her friends to assist her now that she's on the main roster, and she's been treading water until a real challenge came. Shayna says that she's already disposed of this criminal, why is she trying to face her again?)

The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander) (C) w/MVP & Bobby Lashley vs Andrade "Cien" Almas & Angel Garza w/Zelina Vega
(Andrade & Garza beat Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy and The Street Profits to get this match. Zelina says that this match will be the first domino to fall in the downfall of The Hurt Business. MVP says that Andrade hasn't been the same since he got beat by Brock Lesnar, how does he expect to overthrow The Hurt Business? (Crews continues to go after The Hurt Business following Summerslam, saying he won't rest until that US title is around his waist. Keith Lee gets involved in this feud when he saves Apollo from a beatdown from The Hurt Business. Lee says that Bobby is one hell of an athlete, but he will be taken to his limit by a man who has none, a man who will lay out Bobby with The Spirit Bomb, force Lashley to look up at the lights and bask in the glory of the new United States Champion, Keith Lee.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships

Drew McIntyre (C) vs Randy Orton
(Orton wins a #1 contenders match over Kevin Owens to get this shot. The feud is about both the WWE Championship, and a debate of which finisher is more lethal, The RKO, or The Claymore, as each man hits each other with their finisher to prove which one's better, until Randy flips the script and hits Drew with a Punt. Orton says that there's been one thing that's been missing in the resurgent year of The Legend Killer, the WWE championship, and he doesn't care if he has to break Drew's jaw in order to do it. Drew says that Randy is a fossil at this stage in his career, and will be claymore'd all the way to the past. This is the same match as their Summerslam 2020 match.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Jey Uso (By Referee Stoppage)
(On the Smackdown after Payback, Jey Uso confronts his cousin backstage and congratulates him on his World Heavyweight Championship victory. Later that same night, Jey Uso shockingly wins a #1 contenders battle royal to be crowned the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. Jey says he's proud he gets to do battle with his own blood over the big gold belt, to prove he's more than just a tag team guy, with Roman saying that Jey has earned this, until they face the problem of having to deal with the descending duo of Sheamus & King Corbin, who accuse Roman of nepotism for getting Jey in the match. Following Roman and Jey taking care of the group that I have run out of silly acronyms for (which Roman doesn't want to do, but reluctantly does because Jey is family), Roman attacks Jey, reminding him that even though he's blood, he's his opponent at COC, and will acknowledge him as the head of the table. The match is the same match as in real life, with Jimmy Uso running down and throwing in the towel for his brother.)
