Hi guys, sorry I have been inactive lately. I've been inactive due to My Father being unwell the past couple of months, so my mind hasn't been focused on booking. Luckily, he's gotten better in recent weeks so I am resuming my booking series as of now, starting with NXT Battleground 2023. Also, RIP Bray Wyatt, gone too soon

Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship
Wes Lee (C) vs Tyler Bate vs Joe Coffey
(After retaining his North American Championship at Stand & Deliver, Wes Lee enters into a feud with Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey. Before a scheduled title defense against Drew Gulak, Wes is confronted by Tyler Bate, who says that it’s no secret that Wes has been operating at peak levels for quite some time, but he’s just a little worried Wes is gonna wear himself out especially with Gulak & Dempsey having the numbers game, so to keep things fair, he wants to be in Wes’ corner, which Wes agrees to. Thanks to this, Wes is able to retain over Gulak, but both Wes and Tyler are attacked by Gallus, with Joe Coffey laying out both men with All the best of The Bells and holding up Wes’ North American Championship, signaling he wants a title shot. The following week, Wes addresses the attack by Gallus, saying that when you attack him and his man’s for no reason, you done pissed him off, Joe and his running buddies have ran roughshod over this brand ever since their arrival, and now they’re trying to take his title that he’s worked his ass off for, so Joe, if you wanted a title shot, all you had to do was ask. Joe Coffey interrupts, saying unlike Wes’ so-called friend Tyler Bate, he’s never been dishonest with what he wants, he’s said it, and will openly say it now, he wants that North American Championship, because with every groundbreaking win, he inches closer and closer to becoming the greatest North American Champion in NXT history, but what will that make him when he takes that North American Championship at Battleground, all Wes said he had to do was ask, and he’s asking, now all he has to do is break the bad news to the Big Strong Liar that he won’t be getting a title shot, and not only that, Wes is to blind to see that Tyler is deceiving him. Tyler Bate then interrupts, saying to Joe that he’s still bitter about all those losses Gallus took to him back in NXT UK, but Joe has a receipt coming his way, and it comes at Battleground, then so be it. Tyler then says to Wes that yes, they’re friends, but he’d be lying to everyone and lying to himself if he said he didn’t want a shot at the North American Championship, he knows he should’ve said something sooner, but they can still do this in the spirit of competition, he would never let that title get in the way of their friendship. Coffey then asks who will it be, the sworn enemy who would approach Wes face to face, or the so called “trusted friend” who would stab Wes in the back. Wes says he’ll take both of them on and he’ll see them in a Triple Threat at Battleground. Wes retains after countering The All The Best of The Bells from Coffey into The Cardiac Kick.)
British Rounds Rules Match for the revived NXT Heritage Cup Championship
Noam Dar w/Oro Mensah vs Dragon Lee w/Nathan Frazer (2-1)
(Noam Dar makes his return to NXT on the NXT after Stand & Deliver, interrupting a match between Dragon Lee and Nathan Frazer. This begins a feud between Dar and both Lee and Frazer, with both men going to Shawn Michaels and requesting a match with him, however, Supernova 11 has other ideas. Dar says he will only wrestle in NXT if HBK reinstates the Heritage Cup Championship, which Shawn surprisingly agrees to, announcing that at Battleground, Dar will face the winner of a match between Dragon Lee and Nathan Frazer. Dragon ends up winning the match, setting the stage for Battleground. On the go-home NXT before Battleground, Dar hosts an episode of Supernova Sessions between himself and Dragon Lee. Dar says that this match, hell even this appearance on Supernova Sessions for Dragon is the biggest highlight of his nothing life, sure, Dragon may have been a champion in 3 different continents, Dragon may be a bonafide celebrity in his home country of Mexico, but this is the closest he is ever gonna be to that cup, because there’s levels to this game, and Supernova 11 is that the tippy top. Dragon then reveals to Noam that he will actually have a cornerman in his corner at Battleground. This causes Dar to panic and begin searching for someone to be in his corner, ranging from old NXT UK rival Oro Mensah, to the up and coming women’s tag team of Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson, all of whom don’t rule it out, but don’t say yes either. During the match, after the 1st round, Oro Mensah runs down to be in Dar’s corner, with Mensah brawling with Nathan Frazer and getting both of them ejected during the 6th round. Whilst this is going on, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend run down, with Jakara distracting Dragon Lee whilst Lash gives Noam the bucket to hit Dragon with. Dar scores the 2nd and winning fall with The Nova Roller, becoming a 2-time Heritage Cup Champion, and forming Meta Four.)
Last Man Standing Match
Ilja Dragunov vs Nash Carter
(Nash Carter and Ilja Dragunov’s feud begins on the 04/11/23 episode of NXT when the 2 have a confrontation backstage that results in the 2 having to be separated. Later that night, Carter costs Dragunov in a match against undefeated prospect Von Wagner who debuted after Vengeance Day. Over the next several weeks, Dragunov and Carter get into several backstage brawls, which leads to Shawn Michaels making a Last Man Standing Match between the 2 for Battleground. Carter says he’s sick of Dragunov constantly sticking his noe in his business, everyone wants to tell him how mean and fierce Dragunov is, and they don’t think about him for those same things, only unlike Ilja, he doesn’t have to mask who he really is with those red contacts, because he can stare straight through Ilja’s soul and tell that he is scared, so he hides behind his eyes, he’s not The Mad Dragon, he’s The Scared Dragon, and he’s going to extinguish Ilja’s flame at Battleground. Dragunov says that Nash Carter is obsessed with the idea of breaking him, but he’s unbesigbar, unbreakable, invincible, and you see, pain, is inevitable, but suffering is optional, and at Battleground, he invites Nash Carter to try and make him suffer. Dragunov wins this brutal contest after a Torpedo Moscow and an Elbow to the head of Carter, who fails to break the count of 10.)
NXT Tag Team Championships
Gallus (C) w/Joe Coffey vs The Creed Brothers w/Ivy Nile
(Initially supposed to be Gallus vs The D’Angelo Family, that match is canceled when Tony D’Angelo is mysteriously pulled in for questioning and later (kayfabe) arrested. Joe Coffey then pitches to Shawn Michaels that the valets of The Creed Brothers and Grizzled Young Veterans, Ivy Nile and Ava Raine, face off in a match, with the winner getting their respective team a tag title shot at Battleground. Ivy then goes on to win that match, earning The Creed Brothers another shot at the NXT Tag Titles. Julius & Brutus say that it’s unfortunate that The D’Angelo Family lost their chance at a tag title shot against Gallus, but they aren’t gonna waste this opportunity, because they were robbed of a 2-on-2 Tag Title Shot at Stand & Deliver, but now that they have it, Gallus can kiss those titles goodbye, because they’re gonna become 2 time Tag Team Champions at Battleground. Gallus say that The Creed Brothers think they can just comfortably walk into Edmonton thinking they’re gonna reclaim these titles, but The Gallus Boys are an entirely different animal, they’ve had more fights than The Creeds have had hot dinners, but The Creeds are gonna end up just like Tony D’Angelo, cause once again, at Battleground, it’ll be The Gallus Boys on top. Mark Coffey & Wolfgang retain after interference from Ava Raine & GYV.)
NXT Women’s Championship
Indi Hartwell (C) vs Cora Jade
(Cora Jade wins a Fatal 5-Way Match over Gigi Dolin, Tiffany Stratton, Kiana James, and Aofie Valkyrie (in a match that was initially a 6-pack challenge involving Roxanne Perez who is removed from the match after being attacked by an unknown assailant) to secure a title shot against Indi Hartwell. Jade says that this shouldn’t be happening, she should already have the NXT Women’s Championship, Stand & Deliver was supposed to be her coronation, but that little brat Indi Hartwell just had to catch lightning in a bottle and ruin it all, but her luck is starting to run out, her body is starting to break down as seen as Spring Breakin’, and at Battleground, the clock strikes midnight on Indi’s fairytale reign, and the NXT Women’s Championship goes around the waist of its rightful owner. Indi says the worked her ass off to get this title, Cora complain all she wants, but to be the champion, you have to beat the champion. Cora exploits Indi’s injured leg to lock in a single leg boston crab, making Indi tap out to become the new NXT Women’s Champion, sending Indi to Raw empty handed.)
Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship
Grayson Waller (C) vs Bron Breakker vs A-Kid
(On the NXT after Spring Breakin’, Bron Breakker explains his why he attacked A-Kid. Bron says that ever since he arrived in NXT, one of his goals was to get the approval of the fans, but when he finally became NXT Champion, they all turned on him, and when he lost the title to Grayson Waller, he finally realised that he doesn’t need the approval of these scumbags anymore, these people are gonna see a side of him they’ve never seen before, he’s now going to take matters into his own hands, he is going to tear Grayson Waller apart piece by piece, because that clown is already turning the NXT Champinoship into a circus act by defending against guys like A-Kid, who he’s learned first hand should be nowhere near the NXT Championship, and these circus shenangeans aren’t gonna happen when he gets his rematch against Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship. Waller responds to Breakker, saying it’s time the world finally admits that he was right all along about Bron Breakker, Bron Breakker is a coward, a wolf in sheep’s clothhing that deceived all these losers, but it’s clear that after he humbled Bron, Bron decided to show his true colors because once he realised that The Aussie Icon saw straight through his fake nice guy act and took his title, he had show everyone how big of a coward he was when he attacked A-Kid, and he would love to beat this coward again, because Bron can have his rematch, and just like at Stand & Deliver, the whole world will see once again, how big of a failure Bron Breakker is, and that, is The Grayson, Waller, Effect. A-Kid responds to both Waller and Breakker, saying Waller had to take the high road to defeat him at Spring Breakin’ because he couldn’t do it any other way, he knew his title reign was in jeopardy, and as for Bron, he lost all respect he had for Bron after what he did to him, he’s no better than Waller, and now, he’s going to Golden Ratio that smug look of both of their faces and become the new NXT Champion. Shawn Michaels then sets up a match between Bron Breakker and A-Kid, where if A-Kid wins, he’s added to the NXT title match at Battleground. A-Kid wins by DQ after interference by Grayson Waller, setting up the Triple Threat Match. The finish of the match see’s Bron Breakker counter A-Kid’s Golden Ratio into a Spear, only for Waller to hit the Roling Thunder Stunner on Breakker, pinning him, and retaining his NXT title.)

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
The Unholy Union (C) vs Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & Io Shirai) w/Blair Davenport & Toni Storm
(After Toni Storm failed to bring Smackdown Women’s Championship, Blair Davenport’s growing frustration continues to grow as she wants to have gold back in Damage CTRL, so she tasks Dakota Kai & Io Shirai with bringing the Women’s Tag Titles back to Damage CTRL, leading to them going after Kay Lee Ray & Isla Dawn. Dakota & Io say that they thank Kay Lee & Isla for keeping the titles warm for them, because they’re coming back to their rightful owners, as they’ll be leaving Night of Champions as 2 time Women’s Tag Team Champions. Kay Lee & Isla say Damage CTRL isn’t gonna be successful in their attempt to take the titles from them, because anyone who tries to do so will be cursed. Dakota Kai unfortunately suffers an ACL tear in this match.)
Main Card
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The LWO (C) vs The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa) w/Paul Heyman
(Roman Reigns returns on the Smackdown after Backlash. He starts off by saying that sure, at Wrestlemania, he was unsuccessful, he lost, his 952 day reign came to an end, and Solo failed to get the job done and bring the World Heavyweight Championship back to The Bloodline, but he’s gonna put that on the backburner, for now, Cody Rhodes can have his fun with his title, but when the time’s right, he will comeback for what is still rightfully his, but there’s another issues that he needs to adress, The Usos. The reason why Solo failed to bring the World Heavyweight Championship back to The Bloodline, was because The Usos failed to do their job, they failed to stop Brock Lesnar from evening the odds for Cody Rhodes, the same way they failed to do their job on Night 2 of Wrestlemania 39 and keep the World Heavyweight Championship on The Island of Relavency, but let’s go back to Night 1 of Wrestlemania 39, what did you 2 think was going to happen? Did you think you could just lose in the main event of Wrestlemania and we weren’t gonna talk about it? You thought you could just beg for a rematch and then for whatever reason dedicate it to him, and then lose? Why are they dedicating a tag team victory to someone who’s not even in a tag team? He’s not a tag team guy, he, was, the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time, we literally have Hall of Fame tag teams in our Family and these 2 chose to dedicate it to him, they’re disrespecting our Bloodline by dedicating a Tag Team Championship match to him. He tries to leave and take some time to himself after his defeat and these 2 further embarrassed him, misrepresented him and their family, and then, they’re immediately put to shame after a rematch, because a week later, Kevin & Sami lost the Smackdown Tag Titles, but what pisses him off, is The Usos weren’te the ones to do it, but now, there’s a chance to fix this, there’s a chance to get the Smackdown Tag Title to come back to The Bloodline, because he’s gotten The Wiseman to pull some strings, and now a match has been made for Night of Champions, the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions The LWO will lose their Smackdown Tag titles against, representing The Bloodline… Solo Sikoa, & The Tribal Chief, The Head of The Table, Roman Reigns. Roman follows up, saying that he doesn’t much about these 2 guys, but at Night of Champions, they have to step into the ring, with The Tribal Chief, and he & Solo are gonna do what they do best, they’re gonna hold it down for The Bloodline, they’re gonna dedicate their victory and tag team championship title reigns, to the greatest tag team of all time, Afa & Sika, The Wild Samoans. The announcement of Roman & Solo challenging for the Smackdown Tag Titles leaves The Usos stunned, as they start to further break away from The Bloodline, further escalating when they confront The LWO, and Jimmy Uso calls himself The Tribal Chief, a line that infuriates Roman. The LWO say that they never expected to be in this position, no one gave them a chance against KO & Sami, and they shocked the world and won, and now here they are, defending their Smackdown Tag Team Championships against The Tribal Chief and The Enforcer, once again with nobody giving them a chance, but just like in Puerto Rico, they’re gonna shock the world again. Towards the end of the match, a ref bump occurs and The Usos interfere, giving multiple Superkicks to both Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde. As Jimmy & Jey go for yet another Superkick, they unintentionally hit Solo, which furhter infuriates Roman, who then begins to shove both Usos, before Jimmy Uso shockingly gives Roman a pair of superkicks before retreating, with Jey following Jimmy, stunned at what he just did. Joaquin Wilde then hits a top rope frog splash on Solo Sikoa for the win, shockingly retaining their tag team championships.)
Raw Women’s Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Tegan Nox
(Tegan Nox renews her feud with Rhea Ripley after saving Natalya from a beatdown from Rhea Ripley, challenging Rhea to a match at Night of Champions, saying Rhea may have gotten the better of her in their last encounter, but she’s gonna make sure that doesn’t happen again, because she wants to put Rhea Ripley in her place and take away her Raw Women’s Championship. Rhea says that if Tegan wants to step up to her, she’ll meet the same fate that she did back at Survivor Series.)
Smackdown Women’s Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Shayna Baszler
(Shayna Baszler wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 Contenders match over Toni Storm, Mia Yim, and Elektra Lopez to earn a shot at Liv Morgan’s Smackdown Women’s Championship. Shayna says that over the past year, everyone has forgotten about her, she went from holding the Raw Women’s Championship for over a year, to being cast by the wasteside, she’s come to Smackdown to fix that, and that starts by ending Liv Morgan’s record-setting reign and becoming Smackdown Women’s Champion. Liv says that the last time she faced Shayna, she had a reputation for being one of the most feared women on the roster, but now, she’s risen to far greater heights whilst Shayna’s career has gone into freefall, and if she thinks that’s gonna change at Night of Champions, she’s severely mistaken. Liv unfortunately suffers a shoulder injury in this match.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs John Morrison
(John Morrison wins a battle royal to become the #1 contender to WALTER’s Intercontinental Championship. GUNTHER says that he offers his congratulations to Morrison, he is now the #1 contender to what’s rightfully his, but he already feels regretful for him, because he is going to suffer the most one-sided and humiliating loss of his career at the hands of Der Ring General as the first defense of what is going to be a historic reign as Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion, but he will wish John Morrison good luck, because he’s gonna need it. Morrison says he feels bad for GUNTHER too, he just got here and had quick rise, and it’s gonna come crumbling down in an instant when he becomes a 2-time Intercontinental Champion. Morrison puts up a good fight, but GUNTHER puts him away with a Powerbomb.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
Judgment Day (C) w/Finn Balor vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
(After their shocking tag title loss at Backlash, KO & Sami move over to Raw where they begin feuding with Raw Tag Team Champions Damian Priest & Joe Gacy, all stemming from Judgment Day mocking KO & Sami for losing their Smackdown Tag Titles. KO & Sami say that sure, their reign as Smackdown Tag Team Champions might not have gone the way, but they can easily just get some new gold instead, those Raw Tag Team Championships, and with their being show coming up in their home country of Canada, that’s exactly what they plan on doing, because they challenge Judgment Day to a match for the Raw Tag Titles at Night of Champions. Priest & Gacy initially decline, but Finn Balor accepts on their behalf, saying Judgment Day don’t back down from any challenge, and they’ll gladly put these 2 in their place come Night of Champions. Interference from Balor backfires, as it allows KO to hit a Stunner on Damian Pries into a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn, allowing them to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE United States Championship
Samoa Joe (C) vs Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs AJ Styles vs Sheamus
(On the Smackdown after Backlash, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott quits Hit Row by attacking both Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Top Dolla, blaming the loss of his IC title on both of them, saying that all they are, are anchors who just constantly drag him down, and he’s done carrying around dead weight. The following week, Swerve squashes both of his former tag partners in a handicap match, beating down both post match until Samoa Joe makes the save. Joe says that Swerve showed how much of a sore loser he is, instead of taking accountability for losing the IC title, he blamed everyone but himself for the loss, so if he’s not gonna take accountability for that, than he can sure as hell do it after he beats his ass. Both Sheamus and AJ Styles (who returned on The Smackdown after Backlash) get involved in this after both score victories over Joe and Swerve respectively in singles match thanks to Joe and Swerve interfering in each other’s matches, leading to a Fatal 4-Way Match. Towards the ending of the match, Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick on Swerve, only for Samoa Joe to shockingly turn heel by low blowing Sheamus, before locking in the Coquina Clutch, which Sheamus passes out to, allowing Joe to retain his US title.)
Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus
(After her betrayal of Becky Lynch at Backlash, Trish Stratus explains her actions 2 days later on Raw. Trish starts off by saying when she first came to WWE, women’s wrestling was a joke, and she changed everything, bringing credibility to a non-existent women’s division, she was the women’s division, she was the trailblazer, she was the first woman main event Raw, and she was the first person to make everyone care for the women’s division, but you wouldn’t believe that if you listened to Becky Lynch, because she would have you believe that the women’s revolution started with The 4 Horsewomen, that they were the ones who broke boundaries, that they made people care about women’s wrestling, and that statement, just like Becky, is a joke, and for a while, she let all of that slide, until Becky wouldn’t stop bragging about it in the leadup to Wrestlemania, because it made her feel like a sidekick, and she is nobody’s sidekick, because she is the greatest of all time and is the single most important figure in the history of WWE, and she’s here to make sure none of you forget it. Becky attacks Trish the following week and challenges her to a match at Night of Champions, saying that if Trish wants to stab her in the back, sure, go ahead, because she’s just gonna punch Trish in the face repeatedly until she see’s the color red dripping down Trish’s face, and unlike Trish, she can look at herself in the mirror, see that she’s not perfect like Trish thinks that she is, and that she can carry on, regardless, and that’s why she’s been able to have a career that Trish could only dream of, and if she thinks barking like a dog was embarrasing, just wait until Night of Champions, welcome to the big time, woof woof. Trish accepts, saying she will continue to show why she’s gonna show why she’s still number 1 around here at the expense of this ungrateful spoiled little brat. Trish wins thanks to help from recent main roster callup Piper Niven.)
WWE Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Seth Rollins
(Face vs Face. Seth Rollins wins a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Balor, and The Miz to earn a shot at Keith Lee’s WWE Championship at Night of Champions. Seth says it’s been far too long since he’s been on a brand with a fighting champion, and not a brand with a world title that was about part timers and politics, but here he is, back on Monday Night Rollins with a chance to once again become WWE Champion, and sure, he has his work cut out for him, being up against one of the most agile big men ever in Keith Lee, but he is a man on a mission, and that mission is to once again become the working man’s champion of WWE by becoming WWE Champion. Keith Lee says that his reign is only just beginning, and Seth will be one of the many men who will have to bask in his glory.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Cody Rhodes (C) vs Brock Lesnar
(On the Smackdown after Backlash, Cody Rhodes addresses the attack on him by Brock Lesnar at Backlash. Cody says that ever since he came back, he’s had a singular focus, first it was Seth Rollins, then his torn pec and rehabilitation, then it was winning the Rumble, then it was Finishing The Story and The Bloodline, but after Backlash, it’s Brock Lesnar. Brock offered up his partnership to help him fight off The Bloodline so he could retain his title, only for it to be a ruse and turn it into The Beast’s path of destruction at his expense, and he wants to know why Brock did what he did, he’s heard rumors that it was because Brock was unhappy with his spot at Wrestlemania, losing to the new kid on the block Walter in the opening match, Wrestlemania, an event that’s synonymous with The Beast, but he wasn’t the main focus the past 2 years, but his theory, is Brock Lesnar is uncertain about him, uncertain about hype that comes with The American Nightmare, uncertain about the change he has brought to WWE as the new World Heavyweight Champion, change that would directly effect him, why else would Brock wait to get the drop on him, why else would Brock wait until his back was turned? But if you’re Brock Lesnar, why would you ever be uncertain? When Brock Lesnar looks in the mirror, he sees a former NCAA Division 1 Wrestling champion, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, a former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, when he was only a rookie, he saw The Rock and thought that’s a victim, he looked at Randy Couture in just his 4th MMA fight and saw a victim, John Cena in his return in 2012, victim, The Undertaker and his undefeated streak at Wrestlemania, just another victim, is that what Brock Lesnar views him as? A victim? A victim he is not, because wants to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar, but there’s something he needs to answer, is he scared of Brock Lesnar? Yes, he’d be crazy not to be scared of Brock Lesnar, but he still wants to fight Brock Lesnar, he’s so scared of Brock Lesnar that when Brock blinks, he’s gonna strike, when Brock breathes, he’s gonna kick, when Brock stumbles, he’s gonna pounce, he’s gonna leave no stone unturned, no opportunity behind, that when Brock Lesnar looks in the mirror, he will in the first time in his life see a victim, the victim of The American Nightmare at Night of Champions. Brock shows up on Smackdown the next week to accept Cody’s challenge as Cody has to fight off security holding him back from getting his hands on Brock Lesnar. This is the same match they had at Backlash in real life, with Cody winning by countering Brock’s Kimura by shifting weight to pin Brock’s shoulders onto the mat to get the 3 count and win the match, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship.)

A-Kid vs Baron Corbin
(Baron Corbin makes a shocking return to NXT on the NXT after Battleground, attacking A-Kid after a match with Ilja Dragunov. Corbin explains why he returned to NXT, saying the past 2 years of his career have sucked, he’s embarrased and he’s pissed off, sure, he’s got everything he wants, the money, the fame, the family, but he doesn’t have the reputation anymore, he’s just considered consistent consistent, safe, good, that’s not what he wants, he wants to be feared and respected, he’s a former WWE Champion for crying out loud, he wants people to say “who’s next for Corbin?” not “who’s Corbin gonna be next?”, he understands that in order to dictate his future, he can’t bank on the past, he has to kill it, he doesn’t need anyone bowing down to him, he doesn’t want a position of authority, it doesn’t matter if he’s got pockets or what’s inside them, he damn sure doesn’t need a manager, and he hasn’t worked 8 years to go all the way back to the beginning, he can’t go back, there’s no going back, there’s no more gimmicks, no nonsense, no bullshit, he’s back to Burn The Ships. A-Kid challenges Corbin to match at Gold Rush, saying Corbin can come back and try to revive his dying career, but it’s not gonna happen at his expense, and since he wants to mess with him, the ships aren’t gonna be the only thing burning, Corbin’s career will be as well. Corbin accepts A-Kid’s challenge, saying A-Kid is a snot nosed punk who hasn’t done a damn thing in this business and thinks he’s some bigshot all of a sudden, when he needs to be a brought down a peg, and doing so would be a perfect way to enlist fear back in the hearts of many. Corbin wins after countering a Golden Ratio into the End of Days.)
Main Card
NXT North American Championship
Wes Lee (C) vs Tyler Bate
(Tyler Bate defeats Joe Coffey to earn himself 1 more match against Wes Lee and his North American Championship. Tyler says that when he and Wes shared the ring at Battleground, they created magic, and now that they get the chance to face off against each other one on one, they get to recreate that same magic, only this time, he’s gonna be the one to leave as North American Champion. Wes says that he has a tremendous amount of respect for Tyler as a competitor despite their differences in the leadup to Battleground, but now with Joe Coffey out of the picture, they can just focus on the spirit of competition to see who is gonna walk out the better man and the North American Champion, and that man is gonna be him because his record setting reign isn’t coming to an end anytime soon.)
British Rounds Rules Match for the NXT Heritage Cup Championship
Oro Mensah w/Noam Dar (C), Lash Legand, and Jakara Jackson vs Nathan Frazer w/Dragon Lee
(After the formation of Meta-Four at Battleground, Dragon Lee & Nathan Frazer continue to go after Noam Dar and newly won Heritage Cup Championship, with Frazer challenging Dar to a match for the Cup at Gold Rush, saying Noam has assembled a new group of “mates” to win the cup and help him keep it by any means necessary, but he was only able to win that cup because he had tricks up his sleeve, but now that he’s played his hand with Meta-Four, he’s all out of surprises, because the hard hitting home truth is that fragile little fraud’s championship reign is about to be even shorter than his last one. Dar accepts Frazer’s challenge, saying Frazer can have his title match, but now that he has his cup back, he’s never losing it, and Nathan’s gonna learn the hard way what happens when you mess, with The Meta Four. Before the match, Dar reveals that he’s injured and not medically cleared to compete, so his good friend and former Heritage Cup Champion Oro Mensah will defend the cup on his behalf. Frazer beats Mensah 2-1 to win the cup.)
NXT Tag Team Championships
Gallus (C) w/Joe Coffey vs Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen w/Fallon Henely
(Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen win a Triple Threat Tag Team #1 contenders match over Hank & Tank and Edris Enofe & Malik Blade to secure themselves a tag team title shot against Gallus. Gallus (still mainly feuding with The D’Angelo Family with Tony D’Angelo in jail) say that just like Tony D’s chances of making it out of jail alive, Briggs & Jensen have no shot of taking away the tag titles from them, because The Gallus Boys will forever be on top. Briggs & Jensen say that this has been a long time coming for them, and with Gallus preoccupied with The D’Angelo’s, they’re gonna capitalise and become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. Towards the end of the match, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo interferes and tries to hit Mark Coffey with a Spear, only he accidentally hits Brooks Jensen, or so it seems, because Stacks then surprisingly throws Jensen back into the ring, allowing Mark to tag in Wolfgang and finish off Jensen for the win.)
NXT Women’s Championship
Cora Jade (C) vs Thea Hail w/Duke Hudson
(Thea Hail shockingly wins a battle royal to become the #1 contender to Cora Jade’s NXT Women’s Championship. During the leadup to Gold Rush, Thea Hail enlists the help of Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey to help her train for her title match, perfecting her Kimura submission finisher. Thea says looking up and down at the NXT roster right now, all of them have these insane accomplishments, whether that be on the indipendents or in college, last year? Her biggest accomplishment was graduating high school, but she didn’t wanna go to college, she was busy training for what she always wanted to be, a WWE superstar, she may not have the experience on the indies or collegiate national championship, but that doesn’t matter, because after getting accepted into Chase U, her confidence has become higher than ever, and thanks to that, she’s gonna make Cora tap out and become the NXT Women’s Champion. Cora Jade says this his her #1 contender? An overgrown toddler that has managed to fluke their way into a Championship match against her, this is gonna be easy picking, because she’s gonna show everyone why it’s The Generation of Jade. Towards the end of the match, Drew Gulak & Charlie Dempsey (who have been helping Thea Hail come down and try to assist Thea by pulling the bottom rope away when Thea has Cora locked in the Kimura near the ropes, only for Thea to see this and call them out on it. This as the ref distracted and he tries to get them to leave and whilst he’s doing so, Thea locks Cora in the Kimura behind the ref’s back, with Cora tapping out, but the ref doesn’t see it. Thea tries to explain to the ref that Cora tapped, only for Cora to roll her up from behind and grab the tights for the win. After the match, Gulak & Dempsey beat down Duke Hudson to try and teach Thea a lesson, only for Andre Chase to return after 2 months away to make the save to even the odds for Duke and force them into retreat, leading to a match on the NXT after Gold Rush which Chase U wins.)
NXT Championship
Grayson Waller (C) vs John Morrison
(On the NXT after Battleground, Grayson Waller has a successful NXT title defense against Nathan Frazer (thanks to interference from Meta Four), but after the match, he’s confronted by none other than free agent John Morrison, making a surprise appearance in NXT. The next week, Waller invites Morrison onto The Grayson Waller effect to inquire why Morrison decided to show up in NXT and confront The Aussie Icon. Morrison says that since he is a free agent, he wants to make full use of his Free Agent status and go to whatever brand he wants so he can go after as many championships as he possibly can, and one title he wants, is that NXT Championship, because it’s been 16 long years since he got to be the face of a brand, 16 years since he was the face of ECW as the ECW Champoin, and just like back then, he wants to become the face of a brand, he wants to become the face of NXT, he wants the NXT Championship, so he is challenging Waller to an NXT Championship match at Gold Rush. Waller responds to Morrison, saying is this a joke? You really came all the way down to NXT just to get The Grayson Waller Rub? Sure, he can say that that’s why he came down to NXT, but we know why John Morrison is really here, it’s because he’s a washed up has been who couldn’t cut it at The Miz’s waterboy then, can’t cut at The Miz’s waterboy now, and couldn’t even make it by himself on the main roster, so if he wants The Grayson Waller Rub, then he’s gonna get The Grayson Waller Rub at Gold Rush. Waller retains after getting the knees up on a Starship Pain and following it up with a Rolling Thunder Stunner.)
WWE Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Bron Breakker
(On the NXT after Battleground, a frustrated Bron Breakker says in a backstage interview that he’s fed up with people thinking they’re the most intense guy in WWE, there is nobody more intense than him and he’s gonna start holding people accountable for it, from the top to the bottom, and speaking of all the way at the top, how about WWE Champion Keith Lee, Limitless Keith Lee, the so called workhorse of WWE, he wants to Keith to prove it, because Keith is pretty familiar with how we do things down here, since he’s a former NXT Champion much like himself, so why doesn’t he return to NXT and put the WWE Championship on the line against him. Bron continues to call out Keith Lee, wanting to know where this workshorse champion is? He doesn’t see him around anywhere. That is until Keith Lee interrupts Bron on the titantron with his signature “Greetings and Salutations”, saying Mr. Breakker, it appears to me that over the past number of weeks you have been calling him out repeatedly, and why is that? Is it because they’re both former NXT Champions, but since he’s now the WWE Champion, he can just say his name 3 times like Beetlejuice and he’ll show up and give Bron a title match? That’s not exactly how things work but he likes the approach of Bron Breakker, gunning straight for the top, wanting to make a bunch of noise, wanting to become the guy, and you know what, he’s gonna give Bron what he wants, he is going to grant Bron his 15 minutes of fame in a WWE title match at Gold Rush where he will bask in his glory, for he is limitless. Keith Lee retains after countering a Spear into a pair of Spirit Bombs followed up with a Big Bang Catastrphoe. After the match, Keith Lee is attacked by Finn Balor (who Lee has been in a feud with over on Raw following Night of Champions) in a shocking return to NXT, only for Seth Rollins (who also has his own issues with Balor post NoC) to make his own shocking return to NXT to fight off Balor and force him into retreat. Gold Rush goes off the air with Rollins starting down Keith Lee.)

Money in the Bank 2023
Date: July 1st, 2023
Location: The 02 Arena, London, England
Card
Pre Show
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
The Unholy Union (C) vs Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville
(Heels vs heels. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville begin feuding with The Unholy Union in the leadup to Money in the Bank, eventually getting a Women’s Tag Title Match against them. Chelsea & Sonya say these 2 spooky witches don’t scare them, they can do all their spooky magic all they want, it’s not gonna save them from losing those Women’s Tag Titles. Kay Lee Ray & Isla Dawn say that Chelsea & Sonya are gonna learn the hard way what happens when you step up to The Unholy Union, you get cursed. Sonya Deville unfortunately tears her ACL in this match. Despite Sonya’s injury, Chelsea continues to feud with Kay Lee Ray & Isla Dawn, but is in search of a new partner, eventually managing to get Zoey Stark to reluctantly agree to be her new partner.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The LWO (C) w/Rey Mysterio vs Pretty Deadly
(Pretty Deadly make their main roster debut on the Smackdown after Backlash and very quickly go on an undefeated streak that leads to them winning a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team #1 contenders match over The Street Profits, The Brawling Brutes, and The Good Brothers to become the #1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Pretty Deadly say that ever since they’ve came to Friday Night “Snackdown”, they’ve brought class and elegance to the Smackdown Tag Division, yes boy, and now they need to rid the Smackdown Tag Division of these 2 overgrown man-children and become the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions, Yes Boy! The LWo say that these 2 primadonnas have overstayed their welcome and will get what’s coming to them at Money in the Bank.)
Main Card
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Ricochet vs Bronson Reed vs Austin Theory vs Dominik Mysterio w/Zelina Vega vs Logan Paul vs AJ Styles vs LA Knight vs Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs Santos Escobar w/Elektra Lopez
(Not too much story headed into this match, but it is revealed on the go-home Raw before Money in the Bank that Logan Paul has negotiated with WWE executives to get himself added to the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, with the main person to take exception to this being Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (who’s become a tweener following Night of Champions). During the match, Swerve and Logan take each other out with a Spanish Fly off a pair of ladders through the announce table (that isn’t botched unlike Logan and Ricochet’s one from real life). LA Knight comes close to winning the match, before being low blowed by Austin Theory (WHO DOESN’T LOSE HIS MAIN EVENT PUSH!) and hit with a Powerbomb off the ladder, before Theory climbs back up to unhook the briefcase and become Mr. Money in the Bank.)
WWE United States Championship
Samoa Joe (C) vs Sheamus w/The Brawling Brutes
(After Joe’s heel turn at Night of Champions, he continues his feud with Sheamus. Joe says that for weeks on end, Sheamus ran his mouth about him and his US title, and because he was doing that constantly, he failed to recognise who the most dangerous man in the room was, and for that mistake, he paid the ultimate price at Night of Champions, because he was not gonna let himself be a victim and lose the US title, the first singles title he has ever won on the main roster of WWE, he wasn’t gonna let himself be a victim like all of these fans, the type of people who sit around and wait for the storm to hit, the type of people who wait for someone to save them, he saved himself and the US title, and if Sheamus has a problem with that, he can take up with him and he’ll see what happens. Sheamus challenges Joe to a US title match at MITB, saying Joe is a spineless coward who had to bend the rules in order to walk out with that US title, but now, he’s gonna have Joe 1 on 1 all to himself, and there’s nothing him from Brogue Kicking Joe’s bleeding head off and walking out with that US title. Joe accepts, saying he’ll make The Celtic Warrior go night night. Joe makes Sheamus pass out to the Coquina Clutch to retain the US title.)
Triple Threat Match for the vacant Women’s World Championship
Bianca Belair vs Bayley vs Blair Davenport
(Following Liv Morgan vacating the Smackdown Women’s Championship after Night of Champions due to injury, Adam Pearce announces 2 things in regards to the Smackdown Women’s Championship, 1, it will be rebranded to the Women’s World Championship, and 2, a Triple Threat match will take place at Money in the Bank to crown the new Women’s World Champion. Bianca Belair defeats Shayna Baszler to qualify, Bayley defeats Elektra Lopez to qualify, and Blair Davenport defeats Shotzi Blackheart (after interference from Asuka as the 2 are in their own separate feud) to qualify for the triple threat. Blair says it was unfortunate what happened to Liv Morgan, because nobody wanted to knock that smug look off Liv’s face and take that title from Liv more than her, and now she’s lost that opportunity, but now, the throne at the top of the Smackdown Women’s Division, is vacant, that Women’s World Title is hers for the taking, because at Money in the Bank, it’s going to be leaving with her, as she shows everyone why Damage CTRL, runs WWE. Bayley it’s been 3 years since she last held singles gold, it’s time to change that at Money in the Bank by becoming the Women’s World Champion. Bianca Belair says that the only thing standing in the way between her and 4th’s Women’s title is 2 arrogant a-holes in Bayley and Blair Davenport, and whilst she may not have gotten the chance to dethrone Liv for the title, she’s gonna make sure that the Smackdown Women’s Division has a Women’s World Champion they can be proud of. Towards the end of the match, Charlotte Flair (who hasn’t been seen since Wrestlemania) returns and attacks Bianca Belar from behind with a Chop Block and a Natural Selection. This allows Bayley to hit a Rose Plant on Bianca for the win, becoming a 2-time Women’s World Champion. Bayley celebrates her win with her fellow horsewoman Charlotte, only for Charlotte to shockingly turn on her after the match by giving her a Spear, before locking her in the Figure 8 and hoisting up the Women’s World Championship.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Note
(I went back and retconned Imperium’s names to their current ones of GUNTHER, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovani Vinci since it’s been 2 years and the names have fully caught on by now.)
(Shinsuke Nakamura wins a #1 contenders match over Matt Riddle (in what is Riddle’s last match before getting released from the company) to earn a shot at GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Championship. In the leadup to the match, Imperium attack Nakamura backstage and (kayfabe) injure his right leg that he’s known to use the Kinshasa for, leading to Nakamura getting a measure of revenge and costing Imperium in a Raw Tag Title match against Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. GUNTHER says that over the past number of weeks, he’s gotten the opportunity to beat down and humiliate Shinsuke Nakamura, that’s fun to him, and now he gets the chance to do it in the ring against The “King of soft style”, Shinsuke Nakamura, who thinks he’s done something, by costing Ludwig & Gio the tag titles, but it just shows that he’s in Nakamura’s head that much, that he won’t be fully there mentally come Money in the Bank. Nakamura says that Imperium may have done a number on his leg, but that isn’t gonna prevent him from giving GUNTHER a, KNEE, TO, FACE! And becoming a 2-time Intercontinental Champion. GUNTHER wins by making Nakamura tap out to a Single Leg Boston Crab on Nakamura’s (kayfabe) injured leg after spending most of the match working the leg. After the match, as GUNTHER is standing tall over Nakamura, Drew McIntyre’s music hits, and outcomes The Scottish Warrior, returning for the first time since Wrestlemania 39 to confront The Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.)
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship
Keith Lee (C) vs Finn Balor w/Rhea Ripley vs Seth Rollins
(On the Raw after Night of Champions, Keith Lee is celebrating his successful WWE title defense at Night of Champions, when he’s interrupted by none other than the man whom he defeated at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins. Seth says he just wanted to come out here to congratulate Keith Lee, he gave it everything he had, but Keith knew exactly what to expect, and he earned that victory over him at Night of Champions. Keith responds to Seth, saying after the war he went through against Seth at Night of Champions, he earned this. Keith then offers out a handshake which Seth accepts. Seth then asks for a rematch against Keith Lee at Money in the Bank, before being interrupted by The Judgment Day. Finn says that what’s going on in the ring right now makes him sick, nobody wants 2 see these 2 clowns who beat each other half to death kiss behind the bleachers, especially if it involves these 2 spineless cowards, neither of whom should be anywhere near the WWE Championship, because that title needs is The Judgment Day, it needs Finn Balor as its holder, Raw needs Finn Balor as its world champion, because 7 years ago, he was a first-round pick on this brand, he beat Roman Reigns after wrestling twice in 1 night on his first night on Raw to earn a chance to become Raw’s world champion, and then 3 weeks later, he beat Seth to become World Heavyweight Champion, and what should’ve been the highest of highs for him in an instant became the lowest of lows because of Seth, Seth took everything from him, his momentum, his title, and took 7 months of his career away, and then when he returned to Raw 1 years ago, Keith Lee tried to do the same thing, he hasn’t forgotten about how Keith put him on the shelf for weeks, caused him to miss the Royal Rumble last year, and miss out on a chance to become a World Champion again, once again losing momentum, this time because of Keith Lee, but now, it’s turn to take momentum away, because he wants a WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank. Because both men want a title shot, Adam Pearce makes a #1 contenders match between Finn Balor and Seth Rollins for next week’s Raw, which ends in a Double Count Out, leading to a Triple Threat Match being made for MITB. Keith Lee says that Finn is still bitter about when he cost him a chance to compete in the Royal Rumble, and sure, he was a different guy then, but he’s gotten even better, and unlike the last time he was in a Triple Threat Championship match against Balor, he will be walking out the champion. Damian Priest and Joe Gacy run down near the end of the match to try and interfere, but Priest accidentally nails Balor with a big boot, which allows Seth Rollins to capitalise and take out Priest and Gacy before hitting Balor with a Curb Stomp, only for Keith Lee to then hit a pounce on Seth Rollins and hit him with a Big Bang Catastrophe on to Balor, pinning Balor for the win to retain the WWE Championship.)
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus vs Piper Niven vs Raquel Gonzalez vs Toni Storm vs Io Shirai vs Asuka vs Mia Yim
(Not much story headed into this match other than the pre-existing feud between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus & Piper Niven. During the match, Trish & Piper try to handcuff Becky, but Becky manages to fights them off, leaving the handcuffs around her wrist however. Near the end of the match, Trish & Piper are beating down both members of Damage CTRL, Toni Storm & Io Shirai, before Blair Davenport (fresh off failing to win the Women’s World Championship) runs down to even the odds, taking out Trish and Piper, but acidentally hitting Toni Storm with a running knee whilst trying to do so. Blair then grabs a prone Io Shirai, puts Io on her shoulders and tries to climb the ladder, only for Becky Lynch to get back in the ring and use the handcuffs to fishook Blair down the ladder, only for Toni Storm to use the handcuffs to cuff Becky Lynch to the ladder, climbing over to unhook the briefcase and becoming Miss Money in the Bank.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Cody Rhodes (C) vs Brock Lesnar (By Technical Submission)
(On the Smackdown after Night of Champions, Cody Rhodes is wrestling in a singles match against Karrion Kross, but that match ends in a DQ when Brock Lesnar comes and attacks Cody Rhodes, laying him out on the outside with an F5, before giving him another F5, this time through the announce table. Brock (with stitches and a black eye from his match against Cody at NoC) then grabs a mic, looks down the camera and shouts “look at my face, LOOK AT THIS FACE!” before asking Cody what he wants to talk about, because he wants to talk about “Me”, repeatedly shouting Me at Cody, telling Cody to look at his face, saying Cody wants to take credit for this, he lucked into this face, he lucked into the victory and title retention at Night of Champions, and because of this, he wants to talk about a fight, he wants a fight, against Cody, at Money in the Bank, for the World Heavyweight Championship, who is the coward, now. Cody responds to Brock’s challenge a week later, comparing his rivalry with Brock Lesnar to the tail of “The Scorpion and The Frog”, saying it’s Brock Lesnar’s nature to hunt, Brock Lesnar must be hunting, but Brock, if he’s the one hunting, he needs to ask him something, how’s his face? He knows that when Brock looks in the mirror, he see’s a lion, the alpha male of our species, but right now, he see’s a black eye, stiches, and when he looks in the mirror, he see’s a man who put them there, he see’s a man who busted Brock Lesnar’s face open, broke his spirit, beat the biggest bully in WWE history, he see’s the World Heavyweight Champion, so he gladly accepts Brock Lesnar’s challenge for Money in the Bank, and he’s not gonna go out of bounds on Brock Lesnar, there’s always been this talk about his ego, his manipulation on the roster, his dates, you wanna know why Brock Lesnar is on top and has been on top? Because Brock Lesnar is better than 99.9% of the superstars who enter this ring, but at Night of Champions, Brock Lesnar was not better than him. Brock called it a cheap win, a wrestling counter into a wrestling move in a wrestling ring, how cheap that is, Brock, even if he had the powers of a god and beat him in 20 seconds, Brock still would’ve hunted because I have what he wants, the World Heavyweight Championship. When Brock first debuted, they called him the next big thing, and they were right, but eventually Brock, what happens when they just say next, because Brock has conquered WWE and Pro Wrestling, but we’re at the point where he needs Brock to take his busted face, step aside, because he is simply in the way, of The World Heavyweight Champion, in the way, of The American Nightmare. On the go-home Smackdown before MITB, Brock Lesnar attacks Cody Rhodes, locking in the Kimura on Cody and (kayfabe) breaks Cody’s arm. Later that evening, Cody (refusing medical attention) is confronted in his locker room by none other than Triple H. Hunter tries to explain to Cody that he knows where Cody is at right now, he understands how angry Cody is, but Cody cuts him off, saying he knows what Hunter is trying to do, he understands, but he is fine, he doesn’t need doctors help. The Game says he knows that arm is broken, Cody knows it is, and he gets it, no one is questioning how tough Cody is, he understands that Cody is afraid of losing the World Heavyweight Championship. Cody again cuts off Hunter, saying what does he have at this point to be afraid of? Hunter responds, saying this isn’t about how tough Cody is, he knows how tough Cody is, he saw Cody compete with a torn pec inside Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins, he hasn’t seen anything like that, but this is different, he needs to remember about those 7 months he spent on the shelf, does he really wanna go through that again? Cody responds, saying those 7 months were terrible, but you wanna know what’s far worse? If he ended up being a coward, coming back to Smackdown a shell of himself, if he didn’t go to Money in the Bank to defend his World Heavyweight Championship, and please, of all people, really? Hunter, what would you do? You fought, and that’s what he’s gonna do, fight, fight against Brock Lesnar to defend his World Heavyweight Championship, because that’s how much that title means to him. This is the same match that happened at Night of Champions in real life, with Cody competing with a cast on his left arm, kicking out of 2 F5’s, before Brock locks in the Kimura on the bad arm, with Cody, unable to reach for the ropes, passing out from the pain, giving Brock the win, making him a 4-time World Heavyweight Champion, bringing the story to a screeching halt.)
The Bloodline Civil War
The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa) w/Paul Heyman vs The Usos
(On the Smackdown after Night of Champions, Roman Reigns shows up to address Jimmy Uso’s actions at Night of Champions, but before he can say anything, he’s cut off by The Usos. Roman instructs Jey to kick Jimmy in the face now and fix this, but Jey doesn’t respond, and Jimmy responds by saying the only one who needs fixing is you Roman. Jey can’t fix this, because he’s the one who kicked Roman in the face, and he did what he did in Canada not to be The Tribal Chief, not to lead The Bloodline, he did what he did cause he was being a brother, brothers treat brothers with love and respect, and as of lately, Roman ain’t been such of a good brother, what kind of brother manipulates, betrays, hurts, and beats down his own family, what kind of brother does that? Roman has gone crazy, Jey and Solo are his brothers, it’s embedded in him to protect them, and Solo, after Roman is done using you, Roman is gonna abuse, manipulate, and betray you too. Roman responds to Jimmy, saying you know why they chant your name, because of him, that’s why, he’s The Tribal Chief around here, Jimmy is just an imposter, acting like he talks for everyone, talking for Solo like he doesn’t have a voice, so lets here from Solo to see who he’s loyal to. Solo says I acknowledge you My Tribal Chief, but they’re my brothers. Jimmy then gives Roman an ultimatum, do you wanna run this thing together? Or remain alone on The Island of Relevancy. Roman and Jimmy almost come to blows afer this, but Jey Uso manages to break the 2 up. Jimmy says what are we doing, we’re stronger together, these are my brothers, and so are you Uce, let’s run this together like we been doing Uce, we The Bloodline right? We family right? We still The Ones, right? Roman then surprisingly hugs Jimmy, only to say into a microphone whilst hugging him “No”, before Solo Sikoa gives Jimmy a Samoan Spike, officially kicking Jimmy Uso out of The Bloodline. As Roman leaves, Paul Heyman asks his Tribal Chief “what about Jey?”, Roman responds saying he’ll fall in line. The next week, Roman Reigns pulls some strings to get Jey Uso a US title match against Samoa Joe. Towards the end of that match, Samoa Joe tries to use a chair to attack Jey after a ref bump, only for Jimmy to put a stop to that, giving Joe a superkick, before Solo Sikoa runs out to take out Jimmy. Solo tries to Spike Jimmy, but Jey stops him. Jimmy then tries to Superkick Solo, but he accidentally ends up hitting Jey, with Solo and Jimmy then taking each other out. Joe capitalises on this and hits a Mucslebuter on Jey to retain the US title. The following week on Smackdown, Jey Uso is confronted by Roman Reigns. Roman asks Jey is he in or is he out? Jey responds by saying you tell me, it’s either him or Paul Heyman. Roman says when you’re The Tribal Chief, you can pick anyone to be your Wise Man, Paul is his Wise Man, he’s here to help The Tribal Chief lead, Jey doesn’t understand that he was only meant to get us to the promise land, Jey is meant to keep us there, he’s been preparing Jey for 3 years now, that’s why he’s the right hand man, that’s why he’s Main Event Jey Uso, he’s meant to lead, just not yet, so Heyman’s not the problem, the problem is Jey’s brother Jimmy. Jimmy Uso cuts off Roman after this, saying to Jey that their cousin is the problem, Roman may say he’s preparing Jey, but he’s just using Jey, do you actually believe the garbage that’s coming out of his mouth over his own brother? Roman responds to Jimmy, by telling Jey that Jimmy is an anchor, whilst he’s the wings, he pulls Jey up whilst Jimmy drags Jey down, Jey has a bright future ahead of him, he’s he next in line, he’s the successor, the next Tribal Chief, but guess what, you can’t be a Tribal Chief and a twin at the same time. Roman tries to gaslight Jey by getting Heyman to reveal that it was supposedly Jimmy who was against Jey being the right hand man. Jey asks Jimmy if its true, which Jimmy says it is. Jey says this whole time, Jimmy has been doubting him? He expected that from Roman, but not Jimmy, and let him guess, since Jimmy knows what’s better for them “Listen to your older brother Joshua, that’s your older brother Joshua” that’s all he heard growing up, they’ve always been trying to compete with Roman, when in reality, he’s just been trying to keep up with Jimmy, but a blessing in disguise happened, Jimmy got hurt, so he stepped up, he main evented Smackdown, PPVS, Wrestlemania, because everyone knows them know, they know he’s The Right Hand Man, Main Event Jey Uso, and it’s all because of The Tribal Chief, so guess what, you’re out, and I’m out too. Jey then shockingly gives Roman Reigns a Superkick, before both Usos give Solo a Double Superkick, and Roman a Double Superkick, leading to Jey Uso officially quitting The Bloodline, and a match being made for Money in The Bank, The Bloodline Civil War, The Usos, vs Roman & Solo. This is the exact same match that happened IRL, with The UK crowd trolling Roman, Roman & Solo hitting a Spike/Spear combo on both Jey and Jimmy, trying to stack pin them both before they both kick out, Jey kicking out of a Spear from Roman by low blowing him whilst the ref can’t see (the same way Roman defeated him at Clash of Champions 2020) before Jimmy & Jey hit a Double Superkick on Roman, followed up by Jey Uso climbing up to the top rope and hitting an Uso Splash on Roman for the win.)

Pre Show
Meta Four (Noam Dar & Oro Mensah) w/Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson vs Nathan Frazer & Dragon Lee
(After Nathan Frazer defeated Oro Mensah to win his Heratige Cup, Noam Dar falls into a vegetative state, being pushed around in a wheelchair. Noam comes back to his normal respondent self when Meta Four gifts him a counterfeit Heritage Cup, which Noam thinks is the real cup. With Noam now back to 100%, he & Oro Mensah challenge Nathan Frazer & Dragon Lee to a tag team match at The Great American Bash, saying that poser Nathan is carrying around a fake cup that he never beat him for, and he’s going to be put in his place. Frazer & Lee accept, saying Noam is a schizophrenic lunatic carrying around that fake cup, and they’ll gladly shut him and Mensah up at The Great American Bash. Dragon Lee scores the win after an Asai DDT on Oro Mensah.)
Main Card
NXT Tag Team Championships
Gallus (C) w/Joe Coffey vs The D’Angelo Family w/Adrianna Rizzo
(After Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo surprisingly helped Gallus retain their NXT Tag Team Championships at Gold Ruch, Joe Coffey confronts Tony D’Angelo whilst he’s still in jail, saying that he has some information for Tony, the rat who snitched on him, the reason why he’s even inside, is none other than his own Underboss, Stacks, because when Stacks tried to attack him in the parking lot and abduct him, Stacks to hold him that “he’s done being The Underboss, because there’s a new Don on The Streets”. Stacks visits Tony the next week, with Stacks explaining to Tony that the rat, the reason he’s inside, isn’t him, it’s actually Joe Coffey, who is framing him, so, he cut a deal with Joe Coffey, because when he attacked Joe, there’s something Joe didn’t tell you, the 2 of them came to an arrangement, there’s going to be a match between the 2 of them, if Stacks wins, the charges against him are dropped and The D’Angelo Family gets a tag title shot at The Great American Bash, but if, sorry, when Joe wins, Tony will remain in custody until his trial, where there’s a likely chance he’ll be convicted. Coffey is convinced that Stacks is taking a dive, until he kicks out of the All the Best of The Bells, where Stacks is able to pull a fast one on Coffey and roll him up for the win, freeing Tony D from jail and securing a tag title shot for The Great American Bash. On the go-home NXT before The Great American Bash, Tony D’Angelo has a homecoming party with his family, including his cousin Adrianna Rizzo, who will be cornering The D’Angelos for their tag title match at The Great American Bash. At this homecoming, Tony D & Stacks reveal that they had a plan to get Tony D out by making it look like they had a falling out, they were gonna play Gallus, but they had to make it look like Stacks was playing Tony, and it worked. Joe Coffey says that these 2 are the lowest form of life that he’s ever met, they’re scum, Tony might be a free man, but he’s gonna wish he was back in that cell, because it’s a lot safer on the inside than it is on the outside with what’s coming to him at The Great American Bash. Tony & Stacks say that the face Joe has is the face of a man who had control, and just lost it, just like how Mark & Wolfgang are losing the tag titles at The Great American Bash. Joe Coffey tries to interfere in the match, but Tony D takes him out with a Crowbar, followed up with The D’Angelos hitting the Bada Bing Bada Boom on Wolfgang to win the NXT Tag Team Championships, ending Gallus’ reign at 180 days.)
Street Fight
Jacy Jayne vs Roxanne Perez
(On the NXT after Battleground, Roxanne Perez demands answers for who attacked her before her #1 contenders match, she wants to know who the culprit is. The culprit reveals herself to be none other than Jacy Jayne, Mandy Rose’s former protege who has gone down to NXT. Jacy states her reasons for attacking Roxanne, saying that her run on Smackdown got her nowhere, everyone forgot about her, so now, she’s here in NXT to make a name for herself, and that starts by taking out one of the top dogs around here, the former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. This leads to a feud between Jayne and Perez, with Jacy constantly racking up victories over Roxanne. After the 2 get into a brawl at a supermarket, Roxanne Perez challenges Jacy Jayne to a Street Fight at The Great American Bash, saying she’s sick and tired of being treated like some easy target, she’s never gonna be 6’0 tall, she’s never gonna be able to overpower her opponents, but since the day she lost her NXT Women’s Championship, there has been a rage building inside of her, a rage that Jacy has added to, and rage that she’s going to take out on Jacy at The Great American Bash. Jacy says that she has left Roxanne Perez laying on multiple occasions, and The Great American Bash will be no different. Perez wins after a Pop Rox onto a pile of chairs.)
Baron Corbin vs Von Wagner w/Robert Stone
(After dispatching of A-Kid at Gold Rush, Baron Corbin moves on to his next foe, none other than the undefeated Von Wagner, now aligned with Robert Stone, who turned face with Von after Von saved A-Kid from a beatdown from Corbin after a rematch between the 2. Stone says he knows why Corbin is back in NXT, he wants to make it back to the top, and he very well can, he’s got the resume with him being a former WWE Champion and all, but there’s 1 guy standing in his way, none other than the undefeated Von Wagner, and with a win over a former WWE Champion in Corbin, that can help further show that Von is the fastest rising star in NXT. Corbin says he’s impressed with Von’s skills in the ring, and it took guts to step up to him, but he’s gotta learn how to talk, you can’t make it if you don’t know how to use a microphone, take him for example, back in 2019 on the first episode of Smackdown on Fox, he went toe to toe on the mic with The Rock, he didn’t step back, he stepped up, that’s why he makes the big bucks, and if Von wants to make the big bucks, he suggests Von follows him, because if he doesn’t, Von is gonna have a very long career of standing with his arms crossed, being a mute. Von responds to Corbin on this, saying he may not talk alot, but he thinks Corbin talks too much, especially when it’s the same old sob story, week after week, he’s tired of it, the fans are tired of it, everyone is tired of it, and at The Great American Bash, Corbin can come out here with one of his 10 gimmicks, it doesn’t matter if it’s Happy Corbin, King Corbin, Bumass Corbin, I ain’t gonna burn a ship down Corbin, he doesn’t even remember Corbin’s 8 other gimmicks cause they all sucked, so come The Great American Bash, he’s got a table for 1, and Corbin’s bald headed ass is headed straight through it. Von manages to score the upset win with a Wagner Bomb on Corbin, but after the match, he’s attacked by Bron Breakker, who lays out Von with a Spear.)
Triple Threat Match for the NXT North American Championship
Joe Gacy (C) w/Rhea Ripley vs Wes Lee vs John Morrison
(After failing to win the NXT Championship from Grayson Waller at Gold Rush, John Morrison then turns his attention to Wes Lee at the North American Championship, saying that it’s his mission to win gold NXT, and whilst he may have been unsuccessful on his attempt to challenge for the NXT Championship, he’s now got his eye on a different prize, the NXT North American Championship, so he’s challenging Wes Lee to a North American title match at The Great American Bash. Wes Lee accepts Morrison’s challenge in a backstage interview on the 07/11/2023 episode of NXT, saying that he’s a fighting champion, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, he’s more than up for the challenge of a former Intercontinental Champion and multi-time Tag Team Champion in John Morrison. In that interview, Wes Lee is cut off by none other than Raw superstar Joe Gacy, who is at NXT because Judgment Day made a surprise appearance on the same episode of NXT. Gacy challenge Wes Lee to a North American title match, saying that he heard Wes is the open challenge guy around here, so he accepts Wes’ open challenge for the North American title. Wes tells Joe that he hasn’t done an open challenge in months because of how crazy things got in the locker room from him doing them, to which Joe responds by saying Wes just said he was a fighting champion, anytime, anyplace, anywhere, so by declining his challenge, Wes is contradicting himself. Wes then tells Joe that if he wants a title match, he’s got it next week. This doesn’t sit well with John Morrison, because he thinks Wes is making a huge mistake defending his title against Gacy, because it’s jeopardising their title match. Thanks to interference from all of Judgment Day, Joe Gacy is able to beat Wes Lee to become the new NXT North American Champion, ending Wes Lee’s reign at 269 days. This ultimately leads to the original singles match between Wes Lee and John Morrison being turned into a Triple Threat match for the North American Championship with Joe Gacy being added to the match since he’s now the North American Champion. John Morrison comes close to winning, hitting a Starship Pain on Wes Lee, but Rhea Ripley pulls him out of the ring, allowing Joe Gacy to hit an Upside Down World on Wes Lee for the win to retain the North American Championship.)
Submission Match for the NXT Women’s Championship
Cora Jade (C) vs Thea Hail w/Chase-U (By Referee Stoppage)
(Following Cora barely escaping with her women’s title at Gold Rush, Thea Hail asks for a rematch against Cora, but Cora constantly refuses. After a quick win over Tatum Paxley, Thea Hail once again asks for a rematch against Cora Jade, and Cora once again refuses. Thea then brings up how Cora tapped out during the match despite the successful title defense. This strikes a nerve with Cora, who then grants Thea a rematch at The Great American Bash. Thea then tries to go one step further by continuously bringing up that Cora tapped out, so she wants to make it a Submission Match. Cora initially refuses, but after Thea locks her in The Kimura, she reluctantly agrees. Cora says that Thea is a despicable low life for forcing her into a Submission Match against her will, sure, she can bring Mr. Chase, she can bring Duke, she can bring The Chase-U student section, because it’s not going to matter, it’s The Generation of Jade, and Thea is just living in it. Thea says all she needs is a chance, she knows she can tap out Cora, she’s done it before, and she’ll do it again, this time to become NXT Women’s Champion and bring Chase-U its first championship. Throughout the match, Cora constantly works over the head of Thea Hail, frequently using The Anaconda Vice (as a reference to a certain Voice of The Voiceless), but Thea refuses to tap every time. Cora locks in The Anaconda Vice in one more time, but to prevent his pupil from taking any more punishment from Cora, Andre Chase throws in the towel on Thea, with the referee then stopping the match, and Cora Jade retaining her NXT Women’s Championship.)
NXT Championship
Grayson Waller (C) vs Ilja Dragunov
(Ilja Dragunov defeats Bron Breakker to become the #1 contender to Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship. Ilja says that he’s going to be straight up, he has no respect for Grayson Waller, Waller is always the loudest one in the room, Grayson Waller has no respect for the grind because built up a reputation for using every under-handed trick in the book, he’s willing to take any shortcut that he can if it means he can retain that NXT Championship which shows that he has no honor, and as for him, he is the exact opposite of Grayson Waller, because he always gives everything, when he steps into the ring, it means something, these people, they feel something, and all he is going to make Grayson Waller feel at The Great American Bash, is defeat when he becomes the new NXT Champion. Waller says that he finds Ilja Dragunov amusing, trying to talk about how “he doesn’t respect the grind”, he can care less about this so-called grind, because as a wise man once said, if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying, because unlike Ilja, he doesn’t care about the rules, he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep this NXT Championship, by any means necessary, and then Ilja wants to talk about “making him feel defeat”, lad, you’re the one who earned the right to receive The Grayson Waller Rub at The Great American Bash, because Ilja is gonna learn to know his role. Near the end of the match, Dragunov has Waller lined up for a Torpedo Moscow, only for Ilja to inadvertently hit the referee. Waller capitalises by hitting The Mad Dragon with a low blow, before hitting him with the the NXT title. Waller then hits not 1, but 2 Rolling Thunder Stunners, as the ref slowly counts 3, allowing The Aussie Icon to retain his NXT Championship.)
