WWE Money in the Bank June 29, 2014 TD Garden Boston, MA
*Bray Wyatt d. Kane by Pinfall Stemming from their interactions the previous month at Payback, Bray Wyatt had entered a feud with the Big Red Machine Kane. In a match that was high on smoke, mirrors and special effects, Kane found himself overwhelmed by Bray's mind games, and eventually Wyatt won the match with Sister Abigail's Kiss to continue his run of dominance in singles competition.
*Bo Dallas d. Zack Ryder by Pinfall For several weeks a series of inspirational vignettes had aired on WWE television heralding the arrival of Bo Dallas, who was attempted to inspire the WWE to "Bo-Lieve" in themselves. In his debut match, Bo spent much of the time running around the ring attempting to drum up support from the WWE faithful and ignoring his opposition in former IC Champion Zack Ryder. Ryder eventually cornered Dallas, only for the former NXT Champion to lose his temper briefly and savagely beat down the Long Island Iced Z, beating him with Tornado DDT out of the corner, before resuming his motivational facade.
*Alexander Rusev w/Lana d. Cody Rhodes w/Goldust by Submission in a Flag Match As the son of the American Dream, Cody Rhodes had taken it upon himself to defend the honor of America when the "Russian Heavyweight Champion" threatened to deface the American flag on an episode of Raw. Rhodes fared better than most against the monster athlete, but Cody and his brother's losing streak continued as Rusev eventually won by locking Cody in the Grozny Clutch and causing him to pass out. After the match, Rusev held the Russian flag high in the air to a chorus of boos.
*Paige d. Naomi by Pinfall to Retain the Divas Title Another NXT rivalry was renewed as Paige defended the Divas Title against Naomi. The former Funkadactyl used her unique offensive style against the self-professed "Anti-Diva", taking advantage of her previously injured knee and managing to secure a near fall following a moonsault from the top rope. However Paige got the knees up on a second moonsault attempt, stopping Naomi's momentum, and eventually hit the RamPaige DDT for the victory. As Paige celebrated though, AJ Lee's music played in the arena and AJ skipped down to ringside, ostensibly to congratulate the champion, with Paige looking warily at the former champion.
*The Wyatt Family [Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] d. The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match to Win the WWE World Tag Team Titles Following their controversial title at the previous event, The Wyatt Family were granted a second shot at the Usos, this time with a 2 out of 3 Falls stipulation. After several minutes of a back and forth, the first fall came to a close surprisingly quickly when Harper cut off a Jimmy Uso comeback with a Discus Lariat that turned him inside out. The Usos were able to turn the tide briefly by catching Rowan with a double superkick that toppled the Giant Man, but Harper and Rowan took advantage of a mistimed slingshot move from Jimmy, tossing him outside the ring. Rowan then launched Jey with a human catapault spot right into another Discus Lariat from Harper that netted them the 1-2-3 and the tag team titles.
*Tyson Kidd w/Zeb Colter & Jack Swagger d. Xavier Woods w/Big E Langston by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title After Tyson Kidd unexpectedly won the Intercontinental Title at Payback, he set about trying to find out who had attacked Jack Swagger and cost him the title shot in the first place. After a lengthy "investigation", Kidd pointed the finger at one of the members of the New Day, leading to him challenging Xavier Woods to a title match. In a surprisingly athletic competition, Kidd managed to best Woods when Swagger came down to ringside and drilled both Big E and Woods with his crutch behind the referee's back, allowing Kidd to roll him up from behind for the victory.
*Seth Rollins d. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Noah Kassidy, Antonio Cesaro, Sheamus, Rob Van Dam & Kofi Kingston in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match The night after Payback, the world was shocked when Seth Rollins turned on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, blowing up the Shield and joining the Authority. All three men were placed into the Money in the Bank Ladder Match to earn a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the future. Most of the match centered around their interactions, with Rollins doing his best to avoid his former teammates, while also stopping the other competitors from climbing the ladder and retrieving the briefcase. In the end Rollins' new associates with the Authority panned out as Big Show and Randy Orton got involved, taking out Reigns and Ambrose and buying Rollins enough time to climb the ladder and retrieve the briefcase.
*John Cena d. The Miz by Pinfall John Cena had made his return shortly after Payback, his first appearance since losing to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. No longer aligned with the Authority, he first took out former General Manager Damien Sandow (as Sandow had been fired for incompetence following Wrestlemania) before being attacked by The Authority's hired goon, The Miz, leading to this one on one match. Despite Miz doing everything in his power to spoil Cena's return, the Franchise started his comeback off strong with a strong victory via the Attitude Adjustment.
*Dolph Ziggler d. Alberto del Rio by Pinfall to Retain the WWE Championship After Dolph Ziggler had won the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Payback, he was congratulated by the man he had pinned, Alberto del Rio, and even teamed with the Aristocrat against Orton and Big Show on Smackdown. However del Rio turned on the new champion, leaving him high and dry and leading to this title match. Despite del Rio working over the arm of Ziggler, Dolph stopped del Rio from applying his Cross Armbreaker finisher and hit the Zig Zag to pick up the win in a strong title defense. As Ziggler was celebrating though, the music of Brock Lesnar played throughout the arena. Led by Paul Heyman, Lesnar came out to face down the champion and then laid him out with a single F-5 before posing with the title to close the show.

WWE Battleground July 20, 2014 Tampa Bay Times Forum Tampa Bay, FL
*AJ Lee d. Paige by Pinfall to Win the WWE Divas Championship AJ Lee had made her return at Money in the Bank, arriving after Paige had successfully retained her title against Naomi. AJ had feigned sincerity for Paige's string of victories since winning the title from her, even teaming with her in a match against The Bella Twins on Raw. However AJ then turned on Paige and cashed in her guaranteed rematch for Battleground. AJ worked over the ankle and knee that had been previously injured in title defenses that Paige had made as a fighting champion the previous few months, and that wound up costing the champion. When Paige lifted AJ for the RamPaige DDT, her knee gave out and AJ was able to take control again. AJ performed a couple of Dragon Screw Leg Whips before executing a Figure-4 Jacknife Pin to get the win and regain the Divas Title.
*Adam Rose & Alicia Fox d. Fandango & Summer Rae in a Mixed Tag Match The Party Boy of NXT, Adam Rose, had debuted on the main roster and had instantly run afoul of the Dancing Maestro Fandango, leading to the two to have a match on Smackdown. Summer Rae's interference on behalf of her dance partner led to Rose losing the match, but Rose then drafted Alicia Fox to be in his corner for a Mixed Tag Match. With the women fighting amongst themselves, Rose and Fandango had a brief match against one another that saw Rose eventually hit Fandango with the Party Foul to pick up the win.
*Bray Wyatt & Chris Jericho Wrestled to a No Contest The night after Money in the Bank, when Bray Wyatt was conducting a sermon for his Wyatt Family and the Crowd, he was jumped from behind by a man in a black hood. The man was eventually revealed to be a returning Chris Jericho, who had been one of Wyatt's first victims the previous year. The two would meet in a match at Battleground that would eventually be thrown out, as Jericho attacked Wyatt with a ferocity that hadn't been seen for a while out of the legend. The Wyatt Family would rush to their patriarch's aide, but Jericho would take a steel chair and chase them off before attempting to pull a trick out of WWE Hall of Famer Edge's bag of tricks and do a one-man conchairto. Before he could, the lights went black, and when they came back on Wyatt was in the entryway, standing with his family, looking angrily at the vengeful Jericho.
*Tyson Kidd w/Zeb Colter d. Rob Van Dam by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title Intercontinental Champion Tyson Kidd had continued his investigation into who had attacked his Real American tag partner Jack Swagger and cost him a shot at the IC Title that Kidd had taken up instead. Zeroing in on one of the men involved in the triple threat match, Kidd blamed Rob Van Dam, leading to this title defense between the two men. After a highly athletic matchup, Zeb Colter helped his client by distracting Van Dam when he was perched on the top rope, delaying him long enough to miss the 5 Star Frogsplash that would have put Kidd away. Tyson then executed a missile dropkick off the top rope followed by an Oklahoma roll to pick up the win and retain his title. As he celebrated, Kidd and Colter were joined by Swagger at the entryway, whom Kidd looked at warily as Swagger simply smiled at him.
*The Rhodes Brothers [Goldust & Cody Rhodes] w/Bo Dallas d. The New Day [Xavier Woods & Big E] w/Kofi Kingston by Pinfall The recent losing streak that the Rhodes Brothers had been on had caused Cody Rhodes to seek outside help to "reinvigorate" their self confidence. To that end, Cody had sought the help of Bo Dallas to act as their self-help coach and help the team "find themselves again." Dallas had begun accompanying the Rhodes' to the ring for their matches, and in this match against the New Day (a rematch from a tag match two events prior), Dallas' help proved invaluable. With the referee (and Goldust) distracted by antics of Kofi Kingston on the outside, Bo pulled off his cowboy boot and drilled Xavier Woods in the head with it. This allowed Cody to hit the Cross Rhodes and pick up the win, ending the Rhodes Brothers' losing streak.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Mark Henry by Submission to Win the United States Title The self-professed Russian National Heavyweight Champion Rusev looked to "unify" his title with the United States Championship, challenging the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry for the gold. Henry was able to withstand most of Rusev's offense and gave the Russian the most difficult challenge he had faced up to that point. It looked like Henry would defend the honor of America by pinning Rusev after a World's Strongest Slam, but Lana distracted the referee, causing Henry to break away from the pin. This allowed Rusev to grab the Russian Championship belt from ringside and drill Henry in the back with it behind the referee's back. Rusev then locked Henry in the Grozny Clutch and, after fighting for some time, Henry was forced to tap out, giving the Russian the US Title.
*The Authority [Randy Orton, Seth Rollins & The Big Show] d. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose in a 3 on 2 Elimination Handicap Match At Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins had won the guaranteed title shot briefcase thanks to help from his running buddies in the Authority, Randy Orton and The Big Show, who took out the competition to allow Rollins to win the briefcase. The following night on Raw, Rollins seemingly was attempting to cash-in on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, only for his efforts to be thwarted by his former Shield teammates Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, leading to this 3 on 2 Elimination Tag Match at Battleground. Ambrose scored the first fall on the Big Show, hitting him with a Paradigm Shift. However he immediately was hit by a Right Hand of Doom from the Big Show, and then drilled with an RKO from Randy Orton to leave Reigns alone in a 2 on 1 disadvantage. Reigns nearly fought from underneath, hitting a Spear on Orton and eliminating him, only to take a Curb Stomp from Rollins after Big Show interfered a second time, with Rollins picking up the pinfall victory.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall to Win the WWE World Heavyweight Title At Money in the Bank, after successfully defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto del Rio, Dolph Ziggler was confronted by The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar, who made it clear that he intended to take the WWE Championship. Ziggler attempted to fight valiantly against Lesnar, but the Beast crushed Ziggler with several suplexes and eventually finished him off with an F-5 to recapture the WWE Championship for the first time in over a decade. After the match, Lesnar looked to do more damage to the former champion, but Ziggler was saved by John Cena, who slid in with a baseball bat and kept Lesnar at bay, as the new champion walked off with a smirk on his face to close the show.

NXT Takeover: City of Angels August 16, 2014 Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena Los Angeles, CA
*Bull Dempsey & The Vaudevillans [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] d. Mojo Rawley, Enzo Amore & Big Cass by Pinfall Two former friends in Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley teamed with two tag teams in NXT in Enzo and Cass and The Vaudevillains for this standard six man tag. Mojo seemingly had the match won after hitting Aiden English with a huge bridging German Suplex, but Bull Dempsey had tagged himself in on a blind tag and blindsided Rawley with a Spear that garnered him the 3 count victory for his team.
*Tye Dillinger d. Jason Jordan by Pinfall In a standard match, Tye Dillinger defeated Jason Jordan by hitting him with the Perfect 10 Brainbuster.
*The Lucha Dragons [Sin Cara & Kalisto] d. The Ascension [Viktor & Konnor] to Retain the NXT Tag Team Titles The Ascension had continued to run roughshod over the entirety of NXT in an effort to regain the NXT Tag Team Titles. The Lucha Dragons agreed to grant Viktor and Konnor one more title match after the team threatened WWE Hall of Famer and Mexican Wrestling Legend Tito Santana, as he was visiting the developmental brand during a television episode. The Dragons used their high flying abilities to run circles around the hard hitting challengers, but this stopped when Viktor hit a rebound diving clothesline from the second rope that nearly decapitated Sin Cara. Kallisto however would make the tag and eventualy hit Konnor with the Salida del Sol for the win.
*Hideo Itami Segment During an intermission, NXT General Manager William Regal announced the signing of Japanese wrestling legend KENTA, now going by the name of Hideo Itami. The two were interrupted by an irate Ascension, who threatened Regal if he didn't grant them another title shot. Itami defended the GM though, hitting several kicks to Konnor before chasing off Viktor and standing tall.
*Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch d. Sasha Banks & Bayley by Pinfall Charlotte Flair teamed with Becky Lynch to take on the team of Sasha Banks and Bayley, the four biggest women stars in NXT competing in a standard tag match (and with all four slated to receive a Women's title shot at the next takeover special the following month.) In the end, it was Charlotte who scored the pinfall on Bayley, hitting her with the Natural Selection for the win.
*Adrian Neville d. Sami Zayn w/Kevin Owens by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Championship Sami Zayn was challenging Adrian Neville for the NXT Championship as a result of winning the inaugural Warrior Cup earlier in the year. In Zayn's corner was his best friend from the independent circuit, Kevin Owens, who had recently signed with the black and gold brand and was awaiting to make his official debut. Zayn and Neville had a tremendous back and forth match until the referee was accidentally knocked down late. Owens attempted to help his friend win the title, but Zayn waved him off, wanting to win legitimately. This good sportsmanship would cost him, though, as Neville hit a low blow on Zayn followed by a DDT as NXT officials rushed the ring to keep Owens from diving in. Neville then hit the Red Arrow to pin Zayn and retain the title.

WWE Summerslam August 17, 2014 Staples Center Los Angeles, CA
*Chris Jericho d. Bray Wyatt by Cage Escape in a Steel Cage Match Chris Jericho's return earlier in the year had marked a renewal of the rivalry between himself and Bray Wyatt from the previous summer. After their Battleground match ended in a No Contest, Bray Wyatt faced off against Jericho inside a Steel Cage to keep the Wyatt Family from interfering. As it turned out, a former member of the Family would interfere, as Noah Kassidy (who had recently left the Family for good after months of beratement from Bray) appeared at ringside and slammed the door in Bray's face, knocking him out and allowing Jericho the opportunity to climb the cage and escape, giving Bray his first official non-dq loss in WWE.
*The Miz w/Damien Mizdow d. Zack Ryder by Pinfall Since losing the Hair vs. Hair match at Wrestlemania and subsequently being fired as General Manager of WWE by The Authority, Damien Sandow had been in a downward spiral and on a massive losing streak. Faced with financial ruin, the former World Heavyweight Champion had taken to shilling Sonic hot dogs in a promotional stunt on Raw. This led to him being given a job offer by The Miz to act as his "stunt double." Now going by the name Damien Mizdow, the former Intellectual Savior would mimic Miz's actions at ringside and would interfere in his matches. Such was the case in this match between Miz and Ryder, as Mizdow's antics distracted Ryder long enough for Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale and pick up the win.
*The Wyatt Family [Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] d. The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] & The Rhodes Brothers [Goldust & Cody Rhodes] w/Bo Dallas in a Triple Threat Match to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles The Wyatt Family of Harper and Rowan had continued to lay waste to the major tag teams that would challenge them for the titles, attacking both the Usos and the Rhodes Brothers on separate episodes of Smackdown. This would lead to a triple threat match at Summerslam. The Rhodes' were pre-occupied with Bo Dallas at ringside, as Goldust had grown tired of Dallas' "self-help" antics, though Cody still insisted that he was needed. In the end, Dallas would "accidentally" trip up Goldust in the midst of a melee, leading to Goldust being hit with a Discus Lariat from Harper which gave the Wyatt Family the win.
*Tyson Kidd w/Zeb Colter d. Jack Swagger by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title Shortly after his return at Battleground, Jack Swagger revealed that it was in fact Tyson Kidd who had attacked him at Payback, costing him a shot at the Intercontinental Title. When he told his mentor, Zeb Colter about this, Kidd jumped him from behind and put the boots to him, with Colter eventually joining in, both men turning on Swagger, setting up this title match. Swagger dominated the early part of the match, but a distraction from Colter led to Kidd taking control and working over the injured ribs of Swagger. The All-American came back and locked Kidd in the Patriot Lock, but another distraction from Colter to the referee caused him to miss the tap out. Swagger went after Colter on the outside and locked him in the Patriot Lock, but when he rolled back in the ring he was rolled up from behind by Kidd, giving the ex-Canadian the cheap win and title retention.
*The Bella Twins [Nikki & Brie Bella] d. AJ Lee & Paige by Pinfall The Bella Twins, acting as "The True Divas of WWE", faced off against the unlikely pairing of rivals AJ Lee and Paige, who struggled to put their differences aside against the Twins. Despite being more accomplished wrestlers, the differences between Lee and Paige proved to be too great, leading to the Bellas to pull off the victory after Paige abandoned AJ to get pinned after a Rack Attack from Nikki.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Big E Langston w/The New Day by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title The newly crowned US Champion continued his run of dominance, this time facing down ostensible heel group The New Day, who were rallying around America (complete with patriotic ring gear). However the presence of Kingston and Woods on the outside weren't enough to help Big E unseat the champion, though this time Rusev relied on a distraction from Lana followed by a title belt shot to the back of Big E's head followed by a huge suplex to pick up the win on the challenger.
*Dolph Ziggler d. Randy Orton by Disqualification Since losing the WWE Championship in convincing fashion to Brock Lesnar, Dolph Zigger had seemingly been struggling to stay in the main event picture. This was made worse by constant harrasment by The Authority's Randy Orton, who declared Ziggler to be unfit to be a WWE superstar, let alone a former WWE Champion. This would lead to a match at Summerslam, in which the Show-Off upstaged the Viper, surviving all of Orton's offense and occasionally embarrasing the former multi-time champion. Orton eventually lost his temper, grabbing the timekeeper's bell from ringside and using it as a weapon to KO Ziggler, forcing the DQ. Orton then hit a Punt Kick on the Show Off for good measure, continuing their feud.
*Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose d. Seth Rollins & Triple H by Pinfall in a No Holds Barred Match After being beaten by The Authority at Battleground, the former Shield members of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose wanted to get their hands on "the Architects" of the faction's demise in Seth Rollins and Triple H. The pair then laid waste to everyone backstage until they got what they wanted, forcing The Game and Rollins into a No Holds Barred Tag Team Match. After several back and forth moments (also involving a pair of lackeys in the form of Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble), Rollins was thrown out of the ring and Reigns ducked a sledge hammer shot from Triple H to hit the Game with a Spear, with both he and Ambrose getting the pinfall on the Game to pick up the win and a measure of revenge against The Authority.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. The Undertaker by Pinfall to Retain the WWE World Heavyweight Title The night after Battleground, John Cena appeared to cut off an appearance from Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar, challenging Lesnar to a match at Summerslam. Heyman declined on behalf of his client, telling Cena that "His Time Is Up, and Brock's Time Is Now." This brought out WWE acting CEO Stephanie McMahon (who had last encountered Cena when the former face of the Authority had turned his back on her at Wrestlemania), who agreed with Lesnar and told Cena that she had other plans for him at Mania. Later in the night, Lesnar's "open challenge" for Summerslam was initially answered by Seth Rollins, who announced his intention to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase (only for Rollins to be ambushed by Reigns and Ambrose), but was then answered by the returning Undertaker. The following week, Stephanie McMahon announced that Cena would be the Special Guest Referee for the match and would "call it down the middle or else." Cena did in fact call the match down the middle, which saw Taker hit many of his classic spots, but struggle against Brock's powerful offense. The match ended in controversy, however, as Taker locked Brock in the Hell's Gate submission. Cena saw Brock position Taker's shoulders to the mat and counted the pinfall, missing the tap out that Brock peformed on the other side of the hold, out of Cena's view. Cena announced Brock the winner, which incensed the Undertaker. After viewing the replay on the Titantron, Cena tried to calm the Phenom, but earned a Tombstone for his troubles to close the show.

NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way September 11, 2014 Full Sail University Winter Park, FL
*Enzo Amore & Big Cass d. The Vaudevillains [Adrian English & Simon Gotch] by Pinfall In a standard tag match, the loudmouth duo of Enzo and Big Cass defeated the old style n'er do wells The Vaudevillains, with Cass launching Enzo off the top rope Rocket Launcher style for the pin.
*Baron Corbin d. Mojo Rawley by Pinfall to Retain the North American Title Baron Corbin continued his run of dominance as NXT North American Champion going, easily besting Mojo Rawley and finishing him off with the End of Days.
*The Lucha Dragons [Kallisto & Sin Cara] d. The French Legion [Sylvester Lefort & Marcus Louis] by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Tag Team Titles In a standard title defense, The Lucha Dragons defeated The French Legion after Sin Cara hit a springboard dropkick on Lefort that sent him careening straight into a Salida del Soul from Kallisto for the victory.
*Hideo Itami d. Konnor w/Viktor by Submission Japanese sensation Hideo Itami had recently made his debut in NXT, but was interrupted by The Ascension, who were still jockeying for another shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles. Itami challenged Konnor in singles action, and eventually scored the submission victory after hooking him in the Dragon Sleeper. Viktor attempted to jump Itami from behind afterwards, but received a Go 2 Sleep for his troubles.
*Adrian Neville d. Sami Zayn, Bull Dempsey & Tyler Breeze in a Fatal Fourway Match to Retain the NXT Championship Following Kevin Owens' possibly costing Sami Zayn the NXT Championship at the previous Takeover event, NXT General Manager William Regal added Zayn into a Fatal Fourway that included Bull Dempsey and Tyler Breeze following their victories in separate triple threat matches. Zayn and Neville were kept mainly separate from each other due to the nature of the match, with Zayn almost winning the match after hitting Dempsey with an Exploder Suplex into the corner followed by a Helluva Kick, only for Breeze to break up the count at the very last minute. As all three men lay on the ground, Neville jumped in and hit a Red Arrow on Dempsey (while also partially hitting Zayn and Breeze) to pick up the victory.
*Sasha Banks d. Charlotte Flair, Bayley & Becky Lynch in a Fatal Fourway Match to Win the NXT Women's Championship The 4 biggest stars in the NXT Women's Division main evented the show, with the ongoing war between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks over the NXT Women's Championship. All four women came up with chances to win, with Lynch nearly securing the upset after tossing Bayley out of the ring after the Hugger nailed Charlotte with a Bayley-to-Belly Suplex, but only garnering a two count. In the end, Charlotte had Bayley locked in a Figure-8 while Sasha had Becky locked in a Banks Statement. When both women tapped out seemingly simultaneously, NXT General Manager William Regal went to the replay for confirmation, revealing that Lynch had tapped out mere moments before Bayley, resulting in Banks being named the winner and regaining the NXT Women's Title. After the match though, Charlotte move to shake Banks' hand and hug her, only to clothesline her down and then pose with the title to close the show.

WWE Night of Champions September 21, 2014 Bridgestone Arena Nashville, TN
*Cody Rhodes & Bo Dallas w/Goldust d. The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] by Disqualification to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles The continued tensions between Goldust and Bo Dallas had caused Cody Rhodes to abandon his tag team with his brother, instead choosing to ally with Dallas to win the tag team titles on an episode of Raw. Despite being "moved to the bench", Goldust remained supportive of the team, and accompanied them to ringside in their title match against The Usos. The lack of chemistry between Rhodes and Dallas was obvious, and the Usos appeared ready to regain the tag team titles, when Goldust interfered, causing the intentional DQ. Cody seemed frustrated with this course, but Bo celebrated as if he had won the main event of Wrestlemania, holding his title high in the air delusionally.
*The Miz w/Damien Mizdow d. Tyson Kidd w/Zeb Colter & Jack Swagger in a Triple Threat Match to Win the Intercontinental Title Tyson Kidd and Jack Swagger were originally set to have a rematch for the Intercontinental Title at Night of Champions. However this match was made a triple threat match once The Miz scored a victory over Swagger on an episode of Smackdown (courtesy of help from Damien Mizdow). Miz played spoiler in the issue between the two former Real Americans, as Mizdow continued his pantomime shtick on the outside. Mizdow and Colter would get into a bit of a fight, distracting Kidd long enough for Miz to roll him up and escape with the IC Title yet again, pulling out a victory thanks to his stunt double.
*Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper w/Erick Rowan d. Noah Kassidy & Chris Jericho by Pinfall The wayward former member of the Wyatt Family, Noah Kassidy, had caused Bray Wyatt a rare loss against Chris Jericho at Summerslam. Kassidy was thus set to team with Jericho against Wyatt and Luke Harper at Night of Champions. However Jericho didn't trust Kassidy, leading to miscommunication amongst the teammates. This would cost them the match, as Wyatt eventually pinned Jericho following Sister Abigail's Kiss.
*Paige d. AJ Lee by Submission to Win the Divas Title After Paige abandoned AJ Lee to her fate the previous month, it set the stage for another clash in their long running rivalry over the Divas Championship. With Paige playing more of a heel character this time around, Paige undid a turnbuckle pad and threw AJ into it chest first, before locking the champion in her own submission hold called the PTO to pick up the win and title.
*Seth Rollins d. Roman Reigns by Forefit Roman Reigns was originally scheduled to fight Seth Rollins at Night of Champions, but had to pull out after suffering a herniated rib at a house show. Despite this, Rollins made a point of demanding that the announcer name him as the winner. After this, though, Rollins was attacked by Dean Ambrose, who had been banned from the building by The Authority. Ambrose got a couple of shots in before he was tackled by event security and handcuffed, which gave Rollins the chance to drill Ambrose with the Money in the Bank briefcase before he was hauled away by security.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Mark Henry in a Last Man Standing Match to Retain the United States Title The World's Strongest Man returned after Summerslam, seeking revenge against the Russian Monster Rusev as well as regain the United States Title. The two hosses fought in a Last Man Standing Match, and despite Rusev's best efforts Henry would not stay down for a 10 count. Eventually Rusev hit Henry with a wooden stool, breaking it over his back and then using the leg to help cinch in the Grozny Clutch, choking out the World's Strongest Man to put him down for the 10 count and retain his title.
*John Cena d. The Big Show, Randy Orton & Dolph Ziggler in a Fatal Fourway Match to Earn a Shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title John Cena and Dolph Ziggler both were competing in a Fatal Fourway against two members of the Authority in order to decide who the next man to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship would be. Ziggler and Orton were largely continuing their feud, while Big Show targeted Cena following Cena's "defection" from the Authority earlier in the year. After several near falls from both men, Orton hit Ziggler with an RKO after Big Show had knocked him silly with a Right Hand of Doom. Before Orton could make the cover, though, Cena tossed Orton out of the ring and then lifted up Big Show for an Attitude Adjustment, heaving the Giant to the canvas and getting the pinfall to become #1 contender to the tite.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. The Undertaker by Pinfall in a No Disqualification Match to Retain the WWE Championship After the controversial finish of their Summerslam match, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker faced off again in a No Disqualification Match to determine who the better man and true WWE Champion was. Like their Summerslam encounter, both men utilized their trademark offense, but this time had the added effect of beaning each other with steel chairs and other plunder. Undertaker hit a Last Ride on Lesnar and seemingly had the match won, only for Heyman to pull the referee out of the ring to break the count. Undertaker then went to the outside and nearly Tombstoned Heyman on the concrete, only for Lesnar to save his manager and then F-5 him on the concrete. This only garnered a 2 count due to the need for a new referee to run down the aisle to count the fall. Lesnar would go on to reverse a Tombstone and hit a second F-5 on the Undertaker, finally picking up the win and retaining the title.

WWE Hell in a Cell October 26, 2014 American Airlines Arena Dallas, TX
*Dolph Ziggler d. The Big Show by Pinfall A miniature feud had begun between former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler and The Big Show following their participation in a Fatal Fourway for the #1 contendership the month before. Big Show easily tossed Ziggler around the ring, utilizing his size to his advantage. But Ziggler ran circles around the Giant, wearing down Big Show and focusing on his knees to knock him down. Big Show set up Ziggler for a Chokeslam, but Ziggler was able to fight out and, after two Superkicks to daze him, hit a Zig Zag to pick up an upset win.
*The Prime Time Players [Titus O'Neil & Darren Young] d. Cody Rhodes & Bo Dallas w/Goldust by Pinfall to Win the WWE World Tag Team Titles The issues between Goldust and his brother Cody's tag team partner, Bo Dallas, reached their apex in this title defense against The Prime Time Players. After weeks of arguing between themselves (especially after Dallas had made fun of the Rhodes' father, Dusty Rhodes, behind their backs on video), Goldust was openly attacking Bo Dallas. Despite the remarks, Cody tried to maintain the peace, though eventually at the cost of their tag titles, as O'Neil and Young hit a combination suplex and cross body block on Cody to pick up the victory and win the titles. After the match, Goldust and Bo Dallas continued to fight with each other, Cody struggling to separate them.
*Bray Wyatt d. Noah Kassidy by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match The feud between Bray Wyatt and his former acolyte, Noah Kassidy, came to a final conclusion inside the demonic structure Hell in a Cell. With Bray intentionally keeping the Wyatt Family out of the Cell, it was a true one on one affair that Kassidy nearly won with his hard strike offense, and even locking Wyatt in the Kassidy Clutch for a period of time. Bray was able to fight through his wayward follower's attempts at revenge, however, and eventually hit Kassidy with Sister Abigail's Kiss two times successively to pick up the hard earned win.
*Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella d. Paige by Pinfall to Win the Divas Championship With AJ Lee out due to injury, what was once a triple threat match instead became a one on one match between Nikki Bella and Paige for the Divas Title. Paige easily out wrestled the Bella Twin, countering all of her usual moves. When the referee was distracted, though, Brie switched in with her sister via Twin Magic. Brie attempted to small package Paige, but Paige kicked out and then hit Brie with the RamPaige DDT, apparently picking up the win. When Brie admitted to not being Nikki, though, the referee reversed the decision and restarted the match. The distraction allowed Nikki to sneak in and roll up Paige from behind, using the ropes for leverage and getting the pinfall to win the Divas Title.
*Antonio Cesaro d. The Miz w/Damien Mizdow by Disqualification [Miz Retain the IC Title] Intercontinental Champion The Miz had entered into a feud with former Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro, mostly down to Cesaro attempting to reach out to Miz's stunt double, former World Heavyweight Champion Damien Mizdow. The stunt double was unresponsive to Cesaro's claims of "being his own man", simply because as Miz put it, he was a "method actor." The two had a standard title defense that nearly saw Cesaro end Miz's 5th run with the IC Title prematurely, only for Mizdow to finally take some initiative on his own and pull the referee out of the ring after Cesaro hit the Zurich Bomb on Miz. This resulted in Miz losing via disqualification, but keeping the title.
*Mark Henry & Naomi d. Rusev & Lana by Pinfall in a Mixed Tag Match Rusev had denied the challenge of Mark Henry to receive another shot at the United States Title, causing the World's Strongest Man to issue a secondary challenge to the Russian for a Mixed Tag Match instead, forcing Lana into a match for the first time as Henry teamed with Naomi. In the end, Naomi would take advantage of Lana's inexperience, rolling her up for the victory.
*John Cena d. Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman by Disqualification [Lesnar Retains the WWE World Heavyweight Title] John Cena had earned a match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar by winning a Fatal Fourway at Night of Champions. Cena's history with Lesnar was well documented, and Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman reminded Cena of the fact that the last two times he had faced the Beast Incarnate, Lesnar had either beaten down the Franchise or beaten Cena outright, telling him the outcome would be no different in this match. Cena however fared better in their third encounter than the previous two, and might have even beaten Lesnar after locking him in the STF in the center of the ring. However, the match was interrupted by Randy Orton, acting on orders from the Authority. Orton ran in and punted Cena in the head, knocking him out. This disqualified Lesnar, but kept the title on him. After the match, Big Show and Orton beat down their former teammate in the Authority, ending with Big Show chokeslamming Cena through a table.
*Seth Rollins w/Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury d. Dean Ambrose by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match The blood feud between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose reached an apex inside Hell in a Cell in this main event. Like the match between Wyatt and Kassidy, the match ended in a all out brawl. Unlike that match, both men were busted open after exchanging weapons shots with various bits of plunder from under the ring. In the end, Rollins was able to pull out the win once Triple H came down and ordered the door opened, allowing J&J Security to swarm the ring and attack Ambrose. With Roman Reigns still injured, the Authority laid out Ambrose and Rollins picked up the win after hitting the Curb Stomp onto the Money in the Bank briefcase, celebrating to end the show.
