WWE Survivor Series November 23, 2014 Scottrade Center St. Louis, MO
*The Wyatt Family [Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] w/Bray Wyatt d. The Prime Time Players [Titus O'Neil & Darren Young] by Pinfall to Win the WWE World Tag Team Titles Harper & Rowan were out to reclaim the WWE World Tag Team Titles from the unlikely champions of The Prime Time Players, who had seemingly only won the titles due to the falling apart of the alliance between Bo Dallas and the Rhodes Brothers. The Players did the best they could to retain their belts, even scoring a near fall on Rowan at one point, but the Acolytes of Wyatt managed to outfight them, with Harper hitting a Discus Lariat on Darren Young to pick up the victory.
*Antonio Cesaro d. Damien Mizdow w/The Miz by Pinfall After Damien Mizdow had helped cost Cesaro the Intercontinental Title the previous month at Hell in a Cell, it led to the Swiss Superman issuing a challenge to the stunt double, rather than the main star. The Miz seemed rather miffed about having to play second fiddle to his cohort, but didn't let that stop him from trying to get involved in the match, only for Miz to be thrown out by the referee. Mizdow attempted to bail on the match, mimicking his employer, but Cesaro stopped him from leaving and hit Mizdow with the Zurich Bomb to pick up the win.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Big E], Exotic Express [Fandango & Adam Rose] & Los Matadores [Diego & Fernando] in a Fatal Fourway Match Four teams competed for a future shot at the WWE World Tag Team Titles, including the newly promoted team of The Ascension. It was this duo (who surprisingly came armed with former WCW superstar Kevin Sullivan as their manager), who could control much of the match, eventually securing the pinfall after hitting Diego with the Fall of Man in order to pick up an impressive win on the main roster and move forward to a future tag title shot.
*Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella d. Naomi by Pinfall to Retain the Divas Title With Paige and AJ Lee otherwise predisposed in a 2 out of 3 Falls match later in the night, Nikki Bella was set to defend the Divas Title against Naomi. The former Funkadactyl availed herself well in the match, but an errant miss on a cross body from the top rope allowed Nikki to take control of the match, and the Bella eventually picked up the win with the Rack Attack to retain her title.
*Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Mojo Rawley, Enzo Amore & Big Cass d. Adrian Neville, Baron Corbin, Tyler Breeze & The Vaudevillains [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] in a Survivor Series Match - Enzo Amore d. Baron Corbin by Pinfall - Aiden English d. Enzo Amore by Pinfal - Adrian Neville d. Mojo Rawley by Pinfall - Big Cass d. Simon Gotch by Pinfall - Big Cass d. Aiden English by Pinfall - Tyler Breeze d. Big Cass by Pinfall - Kevin Owens d. Tyler Breeze by Pinfall - Sami Zayn d. Adrian Neville by Pinfall Survivors: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
*Paige & AJ Lee Fought to a No Contest in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match The two most gifted athletes in the Divas Division tried to conclude their lengthy feud in a 2 out of 3 Falls match. The Bella Twins were also at ringside, watching the match with a degree of interest. AJ managed to get the first fall via submission by locking in the Black Widow, while Paige returned the favor quickly thereafter by locking Lee in the PTO. Befoe a decisive third fall could be made between the two, Nikki and Brie decided to attack their rivals, resulting in the match being thrown out.
*Team Cena [John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Goldust, Sheamus & Chris Jericho] d. Team Authority [Seth Rollins, The Big Show, Rusev, Bo Dallas, Tyson Kidd & Bray Wyatt] w/Triple H, Stephanie McMahon & J&J Security in a Survivor Series Match Following months of tension between John Cena and his former allies in the Authority, a match was made by Stephanie McMahon for a six on six Survivor Series match, where if Team Cena lost, then all of its members would be fired. The stakes were raised even higher when, on a visit to Smackdown, Vince McMahon added the stipulation that the Authority would be out of power if their team lost the match. A replacement partner was needed for The Authority, as Randy Orton had suffered an injury prior to the Survivor Series, leading to Bray Wyatt being added to the team at the last minute. At one point when the match was down to a three on three affair, Sheamus turned on his remaining partners in Ambrose and Cena, hitting the latter with a Brogue Kick and walking out on the match. This left Ambrose all alone against Rollins, Big Show and Tyson Kidd. After managing to eliminate Kidd and Big Show with a roll up, everything came down to Ambrose vs Rollins. However Triple H attempted to interfere when the ref was down, hitting Ambrose with the Pedigree and dragging an unconscious Rollins over top of the Lunatic Fringe. After calling out for a referee, though, the lights went dark. When they came back up, people were shocked to see Sting in a WWE ring for the first time in 12 years. Sting hit Triple H with a Scorpion Death Drop and then left as Rollins and Ambrose struggled to their feet. Rollins attempted one more Curb Stomp, but Ambrose dodged it and hit the Death Ryder for the win and putting The Authority out of business to close the show. - Bray Wyatt d. Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall - Bray Wyatt Was Counted Out - Chris Jericho d. Bo Dallas by Pinfall - Rusev d. Chris Jericho by Submission - Seth Rollins d. Goldust by Pinfall - Rusev Was Disqualified - Seth Rollins d. John Cena by Pinfall - Sheamus Was Intentionally Counted Out - Dean Ambrose d. Tyson Kidd by Pinfall - Dean Ambrose d. The Big Show by Pinfall - Dean Ambrose d. Seth Rollins by Pinfall Sole Survivor: Dean Ambrose

NXT Takeover: Revolution December 11, 2014 Full Sail University Winter Park, FL
*Kevin Owens d. Tye Dillinger by Pinfall Since returning from his suspension, Kevin Owens had been unstoppable in NXT, and this continued with a victory over the self-professed "Perfect 10", Tye Dillinger, as Owens defeated him after hitting a Popup Powerbomb.
*Finn Balor & Hideo Itami d. American Alpha [Chad Gable & Jason Jordan] by Pinfall Two Japanese stars, Finn Balor and Hideo Itami, formed a dream team in NXT and were seemingly heading towards the NXT Tag Team Titles, taking on the newer tag team of American Alpha. After a highly competitive match, Itami saved Balor from defeat and hit Jordan with the GTS for the victory. After the match, though, Finn Balor attacked Itami and left him lying in the middle of the ring.
*Baron Corbin d. Big Cass w/Enzo Amore by Pinfall to Retain the NXT North American Title At Survivor Series, Enzo Amore had surprised a lot of people by knocking off NXT North American Champion Baron Corbin. This earned Amore a title shot, only for The Real G to be obliterated by the champion. Enzo was saved by Big Cass, leading to this match between the two big men. Big Cass did better than most against Corbin, but still succumbed to the End of Days as the Lone Wolf retained.
*Charlotte Flair d. Sasha Banks in a Steel Cage Match to Win the NXT Women's Title The two preeminent Divas of NXT continued their long rivalry, competing in the first Steel Cage match between two women in NXT history. After another long match between the two, Charlotte managed to lock in the Figure 8 on Banks and pick up the submission victory, regaining the women's title.
*The Vaudevillains [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] d. The Lucha Dragons [Kallisto & Sin Cara] by Pinfall to Win the NXT Tag Team Titles Since defeating The Ascension earlier in the year, The Lucha Dragons had been a dominant team in their own right. Against the gimmicky team of the Vaudevillains, it seemed like the Luchadores would dominate again. However, an errant landing by Sin Cara off a Moonsault caused his knee to buckle, seemingly taking him out of the match and leaving Kallisto alone to fend off the challengers. He did as best he could, but eventually was hit with the Whirling Dervish, giving English and Gotch the victory and upset title win.
*Sami Zayn d. Adrian Neville by Pinfall to Win the NXT Championship Sami Zayn put his NXT career on the line for a final shot at long reigning NXT Champion Adrian Neville, this time with Kevin Owens promising to stay away from ringside per his friend Sami's request. After a long back and forth match, Sami managed to dodge out of the way of the dreaded Red Arrow, before hitting a Helluva Kick in the corner to pick up the win and the NXT Title. Owens came out to celebrate with his best friend, wrapping the title around his waist, before knocking him down as they walked up the entry ramp together. Owens then powerbombed Zayn against the ring apron before posing with the NXT title to end the show.

WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs December 14, 2014 Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland, OH
*Goldust d. Bo Dallas by Pinfall in a Chairs Match The feud between Goldust and Bo Dallas had intensified following the Rhodes Brother's dismissal of Dallas as a life coach in October, leading to Bo Dallas viciously assaulting Cody Rhodes with a Steel Chair and putting him on the shelf temporarily. This would lead Cody's older brother Goldust to stick up for him and challenge Dallas to a Chairs Match. Dallas looked like he'd pull off the win, when he was attacked by a returning Cody, who hit the Cross Rhodes on Dallas and allowed Goldust to pick up the win. After the match Cody embraced his brother and raised his hand in victory, only to clothesline him to the ground. Cody then drilled Goldust with a steel chair shot across the head, busting him open and leaving without a word.
*Wade Barrett d. Noah Kassidy by Pinfall Wade Barrett had returned from injury and was looking to get back in the win column against former Wyatt Family member Noah Kassidy. Despite his best efforts, Kassidy's fortunes continued to struggle since breaking with the Family, falling to Barrett who hit the Bullhammer Elbow for the win.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. The Prime Time Players [Darren Young & Titus O'Neil] by Pinfall The Ascension (complete with their mentor former WCW star Kevin Sullivan) had received their earned tag title shot at The Wyatt Family shortly after Survivor Series. However, former champions The Prime Time Players were at ringside and got into a scuffle with the champions, resulting in a disqualification. The Ascension then set out to take out O'Neil and Young for revenge. It didn't take long for the dominant Ascension to best the former champions, hitting Young with the Fall of Man to win the match and continue their rise to the top of the tag team ranks.
*The Miz w/Damien Mizdow d. Antonio Cesaro in a Ladder Match to Retain the Intercontinental Title The feud between The Miz and Antonio Cesaro continued over the Intercontinental Title, leading to this Ladder match for the belt at TLC. Miz's stunt double, Damien Mizdow, continued his pantomiming schtick, complete with climbing his own ladder whenever The Miz would attempt to climb the ladder in the ring. At one point, one of the ladders in the ring broke, and Miz instructed Mizdow to act as a "stunt double to the ladder, holding up one end while Miz climbed the other one. When Cesaro knocked off that ladder, Mizdow "played his part" and fell as well, leaving Miz hanging from the title belt briefly before falling. In the end though, Cesaro was tied up in the ropes and held in place by Mizdow (who had seemingly broken character, finally) while Miz climbed another ladder to retrieve his title and win the match.
*The Bella Twins [Nikki & Brie Bella] d. Paige in a Handicap Match With AJ Lee seemingly out injured, The Bella Twins challenged former Divas Champion Paige to a Handicap Match in order to finish off their chief competition. Despite Paige doing her best to take out the Total Divas, the Bellas won after hitting a double powerbomb on Paige. The two looked like they were going to hit a Spike Piledriver on Paige, when they were chased away by Natalya, who had also been feuding with the sisters in recent weeks.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Kane by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title As Rusev continued his run of dominance in WWE, he faced off against the Big Red Machine Kane, who challenged Rusev when the Russian threatened to burn an American Flag on live television. The match at TLC saw Rusev unable to wear down the monster as directly as he had his previous opponents, but Lana was able to distract the referee when it looked like Kane had the match won with a Chokeslam, only for Lana to accidentally be on the receiving end of an errant thrust kick from Rusev. This only angered the Russian champion, and he reversed an attempted Tombstone from Kane and hit a massive powerslam followed by a big splash from the second rope to score the pinfall victory over the Demon Kane.
*John Cena d. Sheamus in a Tables Match to Become #1 Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Title Sheamus had turned on Team Cena at the Survivor Series, and seemingly cast his lot with The Authority. This backfired on the Irishman when the Authority lost (thanks to Sting) and saw himself embarrased by interim General Manager Edge in the weeks following the Pay Per View. However, Sheamus was granted a chance to become the next challenger to Brock Lesnar, taking on John Cena in a Tables Match. After a hard hitting brawl between the two former world Champions, Cena hit a top rope Attitude Adjustment to the Celtic Warrior through a table in order to earn another shot at the Beast Incarnate.
*Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns d. Seth Rollins & The Big Show by Pinfall For his role in banishing The Authority, Seth Rollins renewed his quest to wipe out his fomer Shield Teammate Dean Ambrose. However his efforts were scuttled by the return of the previously injured Roman Reigns, leading to this tag match between the two. Interim General Manager Edge also took it upon himself to make himself the Special Guest Referee for the match. In a hard hitting tag team match, Rollins thought he had the match won after he hit Ambrose with a Curb Stomp, but Ambrose managed to get his foot underneath the bottom rope. As Edge attempted to explain this to Rollins, the Architect seemingly lost his mind, only to turn right around into a Spear from Reigns for the pinfall loss, which won the former Hounds of Justice a measure of revenge against their former partner to close the show.

WWE Royal Rumble January 25, 2015 Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia, PA
*Exotic Express [Adam Rose & Fandango] d. The Miz & Damien Mizdow by Pinfall to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles The Unlikely duo of Adam Rose and Fandango, also known as Exotic Express, had won a Gauntlet Match on an episode of Smackdown to become the WWE World Tag Team Champions. Their first major title defense was against the duo of Miz and Mizdow, who had seemingly begun to have issues as the crowd had rallied behind the comedic stylings of Miz's stunt double, while ignoring the A-Lister altogether. These antics seemed to be behind the duo in this title match, as they controlled the match early on. However after Miz took a hard shot into the turnbuckle pad that he had exposed, Mizdow followed suit and knocked himself silly (still pantomiming Miz's character). Rose was able to take advantage and eventually counter an attempted Skull Crushing Finale into a Party Foul to pick up the victory. After the match Miz scolded Mizdow for his failure and delivered a Skull Crushing Finale to him on the Intercontinental Title Belt, leaving to a chorus of boos.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. The APA [Bradshaw & Faarooq] by Pinfall Since debuting on the main roster, The Ascension had dominated every team put in front of them. Their manager, the self-professed "Master" Kevin Sullivan, compared the duo to other dominant teams of the past, such as The Legion of Doom, Demolition and the APA. This naturally raised the ire of Bradshaw and his old friend, Ron Simmons, leading to the two teaming up to challenge the young upstarts. Despite an impressive showing early on, Bradshaw and Faarooq were quickly overcome by the younger duo after a brief distraction from Sullivan. This allowed them to hit Simmons with the Fall of Man to pick up the dominant victory over the legends.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Dolph Ziggler by Submission to Retain the United States Title The Russian Brute Rusev continued his dominant run as United States Champion, taking on the Show Off Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler took the offense to Rusev in the early going, but an attack behind the referee's back by Sheamus (whom Ziggler had been feuding with off and on since Survivor Series) led to Rusev taking control once again. Ziggler attempted a comeback, hitting a superkick out of the corner out of nowhere that stunned Rusev, but Rusev reversed a crossbody off the top rope and rolled into placing Ziggler in the Grozny Clutch, obtaining the submission victory.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. John Cena & Seth Rollins w/J&J Security in a Triple Threat Match to Retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship On the final Raw of 2014, Seth Rollins had threatened to Curb Stomp Edge's head into the Money in the Bank briefcase (ostensibly crippling him) unless John Cena reinstated the Authority to power (which he had been granted the power to do after banishing them at Survivor Series). Cena acquiesced, bringing Stephanie McMahon and Triple H back to WWE on the first Raw of 2015. As thanks for his efforts, the Authority granted Rollins a shot at WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, adding him to the match between Cena and Lesnar at the Royal Rumble and making it a triple threat. All three men were battered and bruised by the end of the match, including a splash from Rollins to Cena through a table and then Rollins being put through a table by Lesnar via an F-5 at various points. Rollins' flunkies, J&J Security, managed to take down Lesnar briefly, only to eat an F5 from the Beast Incarnate as well. In the end, Lesnar hit Rollins with an F-5 after Cena had already hit him with an Avalanche Attitude Adjustment, tossing Cena out of the ring and sneaking out the victory with a pinfall to retain his title.
*Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella d. Natalya by Pinfall to Retain the Divas Title Divas Champion Nikki Bella defended against Natalya, after the second generation star had aligned herself with Paige at the previous month's TLC Pay Per View. Natalya easily outwrestled the champion, hitting several impact moves and setting up the champion for the Sharpshooter. However, behind the ref and Natalya's back, Nikki switched places with her twin Brie via Twin Magic, and Brie rolled up Natalya in a small package for the pinfall victory and cheap title victory.
*Daniel Bryan Won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match Due to the Authority coming back, former Shield teammates Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were made to enter the Royal Rumble at numbers one and two respectively as part of their "punishment." The big story coming into the Rumble though was the impending return of former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and his official return from the injury that had forced him to relinguish the title without losing it. Bray Wyatt entered the Royal Rumble at #14, making it his mission to eliminated The Undertaker from the match, even at the cost of himself. Ambrose was also eliminated by a returning Randy Orton, after Ambrose was inadvertantly hit by a Spear from Reigns. In the end, the final three in the match were Orton, Bryan, and a surprise #30 entrant in Seth Rollins. Bryan was able to eliminate Orton after some miscommunication between the two members of the Authority, and then dodged a Curb Stomp from Rollins to eliminate him and win the Royal Rumble for real this time, punching his ticket to Wrestlemania once again.

NXT Takeover: Rival February 11, 2015 Full Sail University Winter Park, FL
*Tye Dillinger d. Baron Corbin & Tyler Breeze by Pinfall to Win the North American Title Baron Corbin had continued his dominant run as NXT champion, before squaring up with fan favorite, the Perfect 10 Tye Dillinger, en route to this Takeover. The match was made a triple threat match, however, when Tyler Breeze defeated Tye Dillinger on an episode of NXT. The addition of Breeze would prove to be the undoing of the dominant Corbin, as Breeze attempted to steal a victory from Corbin after the champion hit Dillinger with the End of Days. Dillinger was able to get his foot on the ropes, and as Breeze argued with the referee, Prince Pretty himself was hit by the End of Days as well. Dillinger then hit Corbin with the Tye Breaker to pick up the victory and the North American Title.
*Enzo Amore & Big Cass w/Carmella d. The Vaudevillains [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] by Pinfall to Win the NXT Tag Team Titles Enzo Amore & Big Cass had been feuding with the Vaudevillains over the NXT Tag Titles for a few months, as well as dealing with the champions lewd comments towards Amore's girlfriend, Carmella. This match was a special challenge match, in which not only were the titles on the line, but Carmella's services as a valet were on the line as well. Fortunately for the Realest G's in the room, Enzo and Cass were able to take out the champions, with the team hitting the How Ya Doin? (where Big Cass Gorilla Pressed Enzo into a Cross Body on a standing opponent) onto Simon Gotch to pick up the win and the tag team titles.
*Kalisto w/Sin Cara d. Adrian Neville by Pinfall In a battle to determine who the best high flyer in NXT was, Kalisto battled former NXT Champion Adrian Neville. In a surprising upset, Kallisto hit the Solada del Sol on the former champ Neville, picking up the huge singles win.
*Finn Balor d. Hideo Itami by Pinfall After their tag team victory in December, Finn Balor had seemingly turned on Hideo Itami, leading to this dream match between two stars who had made their name in Japan. Balor and Itami had a hard striking match between the two of them, which ended when Balor countered Itami's Go 2 Sleep into a Sling Blade and then followed up with a Coup de Grace for the win.
*Charlotte Flair d. Bayley by Submission to Retain the NXT Women's Title Bayley had shocked the NXT Champion by pinning her in a tag team match on the first episode of NXT in 2015, and then had earned a title shot after surviving a Gauntlet match two weeks later. Charlotte dismissed Bayley as a "fangirl" and determined she could easily best the Hugger. However Bayley nearly scored the upset several times, annoying the Queen to the point where she locked in the Figure-8 submission for the victory, but refused to let go. This led to Sasha Banks to come to the aide of Bayley, chasing the champion away as medical personnel tended to the challenger.
*Kevin Owens d. Sami Zayn by Referee Stoppage to Win the NXT Championship After turning on his longtime friend Sami Zayn after he had won the NXT Title, The Prizefighter Kevin Owens made clear it was strictly business what he had done, as he was gunning for the NXT Title and would use any and all means at his disposal to win it. Sami was simply looking for revenge. The two men had a magnificent fight, but in the end it became clear that Owens was overpowering Zayn. Owens proceeded to hit several Powerbombs on the fallen champion, though Zayn refused to kick out. Eventually it became clear that Zayn couldn't defend himself anymore, leaving the referee no choice but to stop the match and award the victory and title to the Prizefighter.

WWE Fastlane February 22, 2015 FedEx Forum Memphis, TN
*Antonio Cesaro d. Cody w/Brandi Stiles by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title After turning his back on his brother Goldust, Cody Rhodes had "divested" himself of the Rhodes family name, and had taken to simply calling himself Cody as part of an image makeover. Along side him was a former WWE ring announcer from NXT, Brandi Stiles, who was his valet. Cody challenged newly minted Intercontinental Champion Antonio Cesaro for the title. Cody's arrogant offense was almost his undoing, as the Swiss Superman had a counter for everything Cody could do. A distraction from Brandi helped Cody take the advantage, but he was unable to put Cesaro away. In the end, as the referee was knocked down, Cody grabbed a steel chair to hit Cesaro. He was then attacked by a hooded man from out of the crowd, who revealed himself to be Goldust without his face paint on. This allowed Cesaro to hit Cody with the Zurich Bomb to pick up the win and retain the title.
*Sheamus d. Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall The feud between Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler reached its final crescendo, with the Celtic Warrior picking up a victory over the Show Off in a Standard Match after dodging a Superkick and hitting him with Brogue Kick in response.
*The New Day [Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods] d. The Wyatt Family [Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] by Pinfall The fun loving New Day had tried to instill a "positive attitude" into the Wyatt Family during a segment on Raw before a tag match between the two factions, leading to the Wyatt's dismantling the New Day in short order. The trio challenged the Family to a Trios match at Fastlane, and it appeared that the Wyatt Family would again emerge victorious. However, towards the end of the match the lights went down. When they came back up, The Undertaker was standing in the ring staring at Bray Wyatt, who appeared to be somewhat startled by his appearance. Harper and Rowan attempted to lay out the Phenom, but Undertaker took them both out as well as Wyatt slithered out of the ring. The lights then went down and when they came back up, the Undertaker was gone. Big E then rolled over Harper as the referee came to and pinned him to pick up the win for the New Day.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. Exotic Express [Adam Rose & Fandango] by Pinfall to Win the WWE World Tag Team Titles The dominant Ascension had continued to run roughshod over every team put in front of them, and were finally granted another opportunity at the WWE World Tag Team Titles against the Exotic Express. Adam Rose and Fandango did what they could, but against the overwhelming offense of Konnor and Viktor, as they hit Fandango with the Fall of Man to win the tag titles.
*Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella d. AJ Lee by Disqualification to Retain the Divas Title AJ Lee made her return from injury to challenge Nikki Bella for the Divas Title. It was clear from the early going that AJ could easily outwrestle Nikki, forcing the Bellas to again rely on Twin Magic to try and win the match. This deception however brought out Paige, who attacked Nikki on the outside, causing Brie to go after her as the referee came to. Unknowingly, the referee saw Paige attacking both Bella Sisters, resulting in a disqualification victory for the champion. After the match Lee attacked Paige for her actions in seemingly costing her the title.
*Seth Rollins w/J&J Security d. Roman Reigns w/Dean Ambrose by Pinfal After failing to win the Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns set his sights on finally getting a one on one match with former Shield Teammate Seth Rollins. WWE COO Triple H ordered Reigns to earn his match by facing Dean Ambrose on Raw, which Reigns did by pinning Ambrose in under 30 seconds (with Ambrose taking insult in the process). Roman reluctantly allowed Ambrose to be at ringside to counteract Rollins' cronies from interfering, but this would ultimately cost Reigns the match. With the ref down, J&J Security tried to interfere, only for Ambrose to take them out. Ambrose then grabbed Rollins' Money in the Bank briefcase to hit Rollins with it, only for the Architect to duck and for Ambrose to hit Reigns. Seth then took out Ambrose and pinned Reigns for the victory. After the match, as Ambrose tried to apologize to Reigns, Roman speared Ambrose and left him lying in the ring.
*Rusev w/Lana d. John Cena by Referee Stoppage to Retain the United States Title After months of dominating the competition, the Russian US Champion Rusev stepped up to take down the man Lana said "exemplified American excess" in John Cena. Cena welcomed the challenge, and vowed to bring the US Title back to the United States. Rusev and Cena had a highly competitive match, but Cena was unable to put away the Russian heavyweight. In the end, Rusev locked Cena in the Grozny Clutch, but Cena refused to give up. The referee wound up stopping the match after Cena passed out in the submission hold, his body giving out before his spirit.
*Daniel Bryan d. Randy Orton w/Triple H by Pinfall to Retain his Wrestlemania Title Shot After unexpectedly winning the Royal Rumble match, Daniel Bryan found himself facing his old enemies in the Authority. WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon, citing Bryan's injury the year before, claimed that she couldn't in good conscience sanction a match between Bryan and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar for Wrestlemania, instead choosing to revert Bryan's title shot to one of the runner ups for the Rumble, Authority member Randy Orton. This led to Bryan eventually challenging Orton for the official right to go to Wrestlemania and challenge the champion. Lesnar was at ringside with his advocate Paul Heyman on commentary, but this wouldn't play a factor in the finale of the match. When Triple H elected to get involved to help Orton, the lights went out, and when they came back up Sting returned in the middle of the ring, similar to his appearance at SUrvivor Series. Sting attacked both Triple H and Orton before vanishing just as quickly as he appeared. Bryan then hit a Baikatsu Knee on Orton to pick up the victory. After the match, Lesnar got in the ring with Bryan and raised the title high above his head as he stared down Bryan. A momentary distraction from Paul Heyman then gave Lesnar the opening to clothesline Bryan before hitting him with an F-5 and stand tall over his Mania challenger to close the show.

NXT Takeover: Golden Gate Park March 28, 2014 Golden Gate Park San Francisco, CA
*American Alpha [Jason Jordan & Chad Gable] d. Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy by Pinfall In a standard tag match, the newly formed team of American Alpha (consisting of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) defeated Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy after hitting Blake with the Grand Amplitude.
*Tyler Breeze d. Tye Dillinger by Disqualification [Dillinger Retains the NXT North American Title] The Perfect 10 defended the North American Title against former two time champion, Tyler Breeze. After an evenly paced matchup between the two, Dillinger kicked Breeze below the belt in full view of the referee, getting himself intentionally disqualified in order to retain his title.
*Finn Balor d. Bull Dempsey in a Warrior Cup Block A Match The 2nd annual Warrior Cup tournament got underway, as Finn Balor defeated Bull Dempsey in the first match of Block A, finishing him off with a Coup de Grace to earn the 2 points for the victory.
*Enzo Amore & Big Cass w/Carmella d. The Lucha Dragons [Kallisto & Sin Cara] & The Vaudevillains [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] by Pinfall to Retain the NXT World Tag Team Titles The last three teams to hold the NXT Tag Team Titles competed in this all out triple threat match. The Lucha Dragons controlled much of the action, keeping Big Cass out of the fray as much as possible and using their high flying technique against the remaining three men. Kallisto hit Aiden English with the Salida del Sol and almost earned the pinfall, only for Gotch to break it up at the last second. With both the Vaudevillains and Dragons exhausted, it allowed Cass and Enzo to hit the How Ya Doin on Sin Cara to pick up the sudden pinfall and retain the titles.
*Kevin Owens d. Hideo Itami by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Championship Kevin Owens had won the NXT Title by referee stoppage at the previous Takeover event, and when he tried to explain away his victory as "purely business" he was confronted by Sami Zayn's friendly rival Hideo Itami, who challenged Owens on the injured Zayn's behalf. In a great back and forth match, Itami nearly won the NXT title after hitting Owens with the Go 2 Sleep, but Owens was able to sneak a foot under the bottom rope to keep from being pinned. After another back and forth, Owens caught Itami with a Popup Powerbomb and then hit a Frogsplash from the top to pick up the victory and retain the title. After the match, a hooded figure from the crowd jumped into the ring and attacked Owens, removing his hood afterwards to reveal the still injured Sami Zayn trying to get revenge on his former friend.
*Sasha Banks d. Charlotte Flair by Submission in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match to Win the NXT Women's Championship The feud between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks over the NXT Women's Championship had continued for months on end, with the belt being traded back and forth between the two of them, leading to this 2 out of 3 Falls match for the title. Charlotte earned the first fall by rolling through a cross body block from Banks from the top rope and then hooking the tights in a vintage Flair move. Banks evened the score after Charlotte inadvertantly smacked her head into the ringpost after Banks performed a slingshot into the corner, following it up with a rollup. In the end, Banks hit the Backstabber and then rolled into a Banks Statement in the center of the ring to secure the tapout and regain the NXT Women's Championship.
