WWE Battleground July 19, 2015 Scottrade Center St. Louis, MO
*R-Truth & Naomi d. Rusev & Lana by Pinfall Rusev had entered an unlikely feud with R-Truth, when the eccentric Truth had stolen Rusev's Money in the Bank briefcase when Rusev tried to cash in on Seth Rollins on an episode of Smackdown (insinuating that the only reason he was not Mr. Money in the Bank was because Big Show had kept him out of the qualifying matches). R-Truth also began teaming with former Divas Champion Naomi, leading to this mixed tag match in which Lana would be forced to compete for the first time. The Ravishing Russian was able to mix it up with Naomi briefly, but Naomi eventually won the match with a roll-up, with R-Truth escaping with the briefcase yet again.
*Luke Harper w/The Wyatt Family d. Dean Ambrose by Pinfall In addition to Bray Wyatt's seeming obsession with Roman Reigns, the Wyatt Family was also targeting Roman's former Shield teammate in Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringer took on the seeming second-in-command of the Wyatt Family in Luke Harper. Ambrose seemingly had the match won after hitting Harper with the Paradigm Shift, when he was distracted by both Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan. After fending off Rowan, Strowman looked like he would get physical by climbing into the ring. Ambrose grabbed a nearby baseball bat to defend himself, but Strowman merely stared at him. When Ambrose turned around, he was laid out by the Discus Clothesline of Luke Harper. Stowman got out of the ring and the referee counted the fall, giving the win to Luke Harper.
*John Cena d. Kevin Owens by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title The rubber match between John Cena and Kevin Owens was finally set to happen for the United States Championship. Cena and Owens knew each other well by this point, and had a counter for each other's signature offense. In the end Cena was forced to break out an Attitude Adjustment from the top rope in order to finally get the final word on Kevin Owens and retain the United States Championship.
*Sasha Banks w/Charlotte Flair, Paige & Becky Lynch d. Nikki Bella w/Brie Bella & Tamina Snuka by Submission in a Non-Title Match The Bella Twins reconciled following The Rising Sun special in Japan, leading to them and on-again/off-again ally Tamina Snuka to attack Paige in a 3 on 1 beatdown on Raw. However Paige was saved by an unlikely source in the form of Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch from NXT, the three top female NXT stars who promised to bring a "revolution" to the Divas Division on the main roster. NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks challenged Nikki Bella to a non-title match, and Banks was easily able to outclass the former Diva's Champion, eventually locking Nikki in the Banks Statement to pick up the win.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] & Kevin Sullivan d. The New Day [Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods] by Pinfall The feud between The Ascension and The New Day continued, with Konnor & Viktor actually teaming with their manager, Kevin Sullivan, to take on all three members of the WWE Tag Team Champions in an effort to gain some degree of revenge against them. In the end, The Ascension managed to win the match after Woods was distracted by Sullivan, hitting Xavier with the Fall of Man to pick up the victory.
*Randy Orton d. Sheamus by Pinfall The Celtic Warrior Sheamus attempted to finish off the Viper following Randy Orton's continuing feud with the Authority. However, not even The Big Show's interference in the match could help Sheamus pull off the victory, as Orton pinned Sheamus following ducking a Brogue Kick and hitting the Irishman with an RKO for the victory.
*Bray Wyatt d. Roman Reigns by Pinfall to Win the Intercontinental Title Bray Wyatt challenged Roman Reigns for the Intercontinental Title, following some psychological warfare when Bray seemingly threatened the health and well being of Roman's family (including his young daughters at home). This psychological attack through Reigns off his game, as a picture of his young daughter in a distorted filter was shown on the Titantron just before Reigns could hit a Spear on Wyatt, distracting him and angering the Big Dog. Before Reigns could take effect, though, Wyatt caught him with Sister Abigail's Kiss and picked up the win, securing his first title on the main roster in the IC Championship.
*Seth Rollins d. Sting by Pinfall to Retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship The night after Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins was set to be honored by The Authority as "The Man" in WWE with the revelation of a bronze statue of his likeness. However when the curtain on the statue was lifted, it revealed The Icon Sting instead, who made clear he was targeting Rollins for the WWE Championship. Rollins fought from underneath for most of the match against the Stinger, taking advantage of a missed Stinger Splash in the corner to take control of the match. Sting turned the tide though when he dodged the Stomp and caught Rollins with a Scorpion Death Drop out of nowhere. When Sting went for the cover though, the referee was pulled out by Triple H, who hit Sting with a Pedigree and called out another official to make the three count, giving Rollins the tainted victory. Rollins and Triple H looked to end the threat of Sting once and for all, but the Vigilante was saved by John Cena coming out steel chair in hand to end the show.

NXT Takeover: Brooklyn August 22, 2015 Barclays Center Brooklyn, NY
*The Vaudevillains [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] & Lady Blue Pants d. Enzo Amore, Big Cass & Carmella by Pinfall Enzo and Big Cass's feud with The Vaudevillains had expanded to include their various valets, Carmella and Lady Blue Pants respectively, leading to this mixed 6 person tag match. Carmella proved to be surprisingly adept in the ring, but the Vaudevillains were able to score the pinfall on Enzo with a rollup by Simon Gotch, holding the trunks afterwards for the victory.
*Apollo Crews d. Tye Dillinger by Pinfall The impressive looking Apollo Crews made his NXT debut against Tye Dillinger, and looked seemingly invincible in doing so. After a short match with the Perfect 10, Apollo hit a Spin-Out Powerbomb called the Crews Control to pick up the impressive debut win.
*Jushin Thunder Liger d. Tyler Breeze by Pinfall Japanese megastar Jushin Thunder Liger made his first ever WWE appearance in this highly publicized match with former multiple time North American Champion, Tyler Breeze. Despite availing himself against the legend, Breeze fell victim to a Running Liger Bomb to give the junior heavyweight icon the victory.
*The Revival [Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder] d. American Alpha [Jason Jordan & Chad Gable] by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Tag Team Titles In a stellar tag team match, The Revival and American Alpha exchanged several near falls with the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line. It appeared that Jordan and Gable won the match after hitting the Grand Amplitude, but Wilder was able to get his feet underneath the rope to break up the pinfall. Amidst the confusion, The Revival were able to toss Gable out of the ring and then hit Jordan with the Shatter Machine to pick up the win and retain the titles.
*Kallisto d. Baron Corbin by Pinfall to Retain the NXT North American Title The luchadore Kallisto defended the North American Title against the longest reigning North American champion in history in Baron Corbin. Despite being heavily favored, Corbin fell to a springboard hurancanrana from Kallisto, who retained the title.
*Bayley d. Sasha Banks by Pinfall to Win the NXT Women's Title Despite appearing on the main roster, Sasha Banks remained the NXT Women's Champion, and was set to defend the title against longtime contender (and former friend) Bayley. The two had another stellar encounter between themselves, with several near falls, especially when Bayley nearly passed out while in the Banks Statement. Bayley was able to fight her way to the ropes though and eventually hit the Bayley to Belly to pick up the pinfall and win the NXT Women's Championship.
*Finn Balor d. Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe in a Triple Threat Ladder Match to Retain the NXT Championship Newly crowned NXT Champion Finn Balor faced a tough challenge in the form of both former champion Kevin Owens, and the Samoan Shooter Samoa Joe. Made worse was when Owens won a lottery held by NXT General Manager William Regal to be able to pick the stipulation for the match, choosing a Ladder Match, in which Balor had never competed. Despite this handicap, the champion proved himself to be a quick study, and he overcame both the Prizefighter and the Mercenary, hitting a Coup De Grace off a Ladder onto Owens and then knocking Joe off of another ladder to give himself time to climb up and retrieve the NXT Championship, celebrating to close the show.

WWE Summerslam August 23, 2015 Barclays Center Brooklyn, NY
*The Dudley Boyz [Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley] d. The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan in a Tables Match The Dudley Boyz had made a surprise return to WWE, targeting the former tag team champions on an episode of Raw in their return. The Ascension didn't shy away from the legends, challenging them to their specialty of a Tables Match. In the end though, this would prove to be their undoing, as the Dudleys delivered a 3-D to Konnor through a table to pick up the victory. After the match, the Dudleys then put the Ascension's manager Kevin Sullivan through a table as well.
*Adrian Neville d. Chris Jericho by Pinfall Chris Jericho had made his return full-time to WWE back in July, and was looking to lay out some of the younger "unestablished" talent on the roster. To that end he targeted former NXT Champion Adrian Neville. However the high flyer was more than a match for the veteran Jericho, dodging most of his signature offense and picking up a huge upset victory over Y2J with a Red Arrow from the top rope.
*Rusev w/Lana d. R-Truth w/Naomi by Submission to Retain the Money in the Bank Briefcase R-Truth had been a thorn in the side of Mr. Money in the Bank for a number of weeks, even stealing his Money in the Bank briefcase at one point. However his run of luck ran out as Rusev tossed him around the ring, eventually locking him in the Grozny Clutch to pick up the win and retain his contract.
*The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Big E] w/Xavier Woods d. The Authority [Sheamus & The Big Show] by Pinfall to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles The Authority attempted to extend their influence in the company by winning the WWE World Tag Team Titles from The New Day. The larger athletes in Sheamus and The Big Show isolated Kofi Kingston, keeping him away from Big E for much of the match. By the time Big E entered the ring, though, he was able to clean house and take control. Big Show turned the tide with a Big Boot to the face, and then delivered a Right Hand of Doom to Xavier Woods, taking out the third member of New Day. Kofi hit a desperate Trouble in Paradise, stunning the Giant before Big E scooped him up and slammed him. He then tagged in Kofi and launched him off the top Rocket Launcher style to pick up the win and retain the titles.
*Kevin Owens d. Antonio Cesaro & Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall In a match featuring three stars trying to set themselves away from the pack, Kevin Owens was able to reestablish his dominance in the WWE, pinning Dolph Ziggler following a Pop-Up Powerbomb and tossing Antonio Cesaro out of the ring to score the victory.
*The Wyatt Family [Braun Strowman & Bray Wyatt] w/Erick Rowan & Luke Harper d. Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns by Pinfall Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns had found themselves back in their orbits considering their respective feuds with the Wyatt Family. They set aside any lingering differences from the Shield Triple Threat earlier in the year and took on Bray Wyatt and his Black Sheep, Braun Strowman. Strowman was able to manhandle Ambrose and Reigns when he was in the ring, despite the best efforts of the Big Dog. In the end it was Strowman who looked the most impressive, shrugging off a Spear from Roman before scooping up the former IC Champion and hitting him with a Running Powerslam for the win.
*Charlotte Flair w/Becky Lynch & Sasha Banks d. Brie Bella w/Nikki Bella & Tamina Snuka by Submission to Win the Divas Championship The trio of NXT callups in Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, were set to remake the Divas Division of WWE in their own image. This culminated with Flair challenging Brie Bella for the Divas Title. After a surprisingly hard fought match in which Brie showcased some degree of technical wrestling (adapted from her husband Daniel Bryan), Charlotte pulled out the victory with the Figure 8.
*Stephen Amell w/Randy Orton d. Cody w/Brandi Stiles & Wade Barrett A war of words had occurred on social media between Cody and the star of television's Arrow, Stephen Amell, leading to Cody inviting Amell onto Raw for a "meeting of the minds". This turned into more of an ambush, as Amell was attacked by Cody and his ally, Wade Barrett. Amell challenged Cody to a match at Summerslam, announcing that former World Champion Randy Orton would be in his corner. Amell was surprisingly good in the ring, and Cody had to increasingly rely on Barrett's interference, which was stopped when Orton hit him with an RKO through the Spanish announce table. In the end, Amell hit a moonsault on Cody to pick up the upset victory. After the match, Cody seemingly abandoned both Barrett and Brandi Stiles, walking to the back in frustration.
*Sting d. Triple H by Submission Since his return at the Survivor Series, Sting had been a thorn in the side of the Authority. After several months of on and off fighting, Triple H finally stepped up to try and take out the Icon once and for all, renewing their rivalry from 13 years earlier over the World Heavyweight Title. In a match that surprisingly had no outside interference from the rest of the Authority, Sting was able to fight out of an attempted Pedigree and lock Triple H in a Scorpion Death Lock to earn the tap out victory.
*Seth Rollins d. John Cena to Retain the WWE Championship and WIN the WWE United States Championship At Battleground, John Cena had saved Sting from being beaten down by The Authority, leading to WWE World Champion Seth Rollins to answer one of John Cena's US Title Open Challenges and make a champion vs. champion match at Summerslam. After a lengthy back and forth match where the referee was knocked down, J&J Security made their way to the ring to help Rollins after Cena had him locked in the STF and obtained a visual tap out. Mercury and Noble put the boots to Cena, only to be chased off by Cody, who had a steel chair in hand. Cody helped Cena to his feet and then DDT'ed him onto the fallen chair before walking out of the ring to stunned silence. Rollins took the opportunity to pin Cena and pick up the win, becoming United States Champion in the process.

WWE Night of Champions September 20, 2015 Toyota Center Houston, TX
*John Cena d. Seth Rollins & Cody by Submission to Win the WWE United States Title Initially this match was set to be between John Cena and Cody in a one on one environment, as Cena looked for revenge against the former Cody Rhodes for his interference at Summerslam. For his part, Cody had insisted that he was tired of being overlooked and that if he wanted to be the top guy in WWE, he needed to take out the top guy in WWE. Seth Rollins was added to the match late by Mr. McMahon, when he interrupted a meeting between the chairman and the Authority on an episode of Raw, leading to McMahon forcing Rollins to defend both his US Title and the WWE Title on the same night. Rollins tried to play keep away from both Cena and Cody, picking his spots in an attempt to escape the victor, but in the end Rollins got locked in an STF while Cody was knocked out via a Curb Stomp on the outside. Rollins tapped out, giving Cena back the United States Championship.
*Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch d. The Bella Twins [Brie & Nikki Bella] by Pinfall In a standard tag team match, The Bella Twins tried to regain some momentum against the new crop of NXT women in Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch. However, their attempts came up short, even when trying to use Twin Magic, as Becky Lynch hit a Top Rope Neckbreaker on Nikki to pick up the win.
*The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. The New Day [Xavier Woods & Big E] w/Kofi Kingston & The Dudley Boyz [Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley] by Pinfall to Win the WWE World Tag Team Titles The feud between the Dudley Boyz and the Ascension had continued beyond Summerslam, extending to involve WWE World Tag Team Champions The New Day, leading to this triple threat match for the titles. The DUdleys made sure that Kevin Sullivan wouldn't be a factor early on, delivering a 3-D to him through a table. The rest of the match proceeded with Big E controlling most of the action, although Konnor and Viktor eventually took him out with a double team spinebuster onto the steel rampway on the outside. Kofi Kingston attempted to get involved to save Xavier Woods, but got caught by the Dudleys and put through another table. The distraction with Woods allowed the Ascension to separate Bubba from D-Von and eventually hit the latter with the Fall of Man to pick up the win in the chaotic match and regain the tag team titles.
*Bray Wyatt w/Erick Rowan d. Dean Ambrose by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title After the tag match at Summerslam saw the former Shield team defeated by the Wyatt Family, Dean Ambrose challenged Bray Wyatt for the IC Title (while Roman Reigns would take on the Monster Braun Strowman later in the night.) Ambrose easily outwrestled the leader of the Wyatt clan, at least until Erick Rowan interfered and allowed Bray to take control. Despite Ambrose's best attempts at a comeback, Wyatt eventually hit him with Sister Abigail's Kiss out of nowhere to pick up the win and retain the title.
*Kevin Owens & Randy Orton Wrestled to a No Contest Following Summerslam, Kevin Owens had entered into a feud with Randy Orton, trying to take out another of the "top contenders" in WWE. This led to Orton and Owens fighting a match at Night of Champions. The match however would end in a No Contest, as it appeared that Orton injured his shoulder during the course of the match. Owens would then brawl with the hurting Orton, resulting in the match being thrown out, with Orton getting medical attention afterwards.
*Roman Reigns d. Braun Strowman w/Luke Harper by Disqualification For several months the will of the Wyatt Family had been enforced by the so-called Monster Amongst Men, the Black Sheep of the Family Braun Strowman. Strowman had been an indirect cause of ending the Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania, and since then had been barely contained under the control of the Family. After beating Reigns at Summerslam, Strowman faced the Big Dog in this hoss match, and for once was nearly overpowered by the former IC Champion. In the end Luke Harper was unable to control the Monster's temper, as he rampaged at ringside and got himself disqualified, before being speared into a barricade to stop his rampage by Reigns.
*Charlotte Flair w/Paige d. Tamina Snuka by Submission to Retain the Divas Title Divas Champion Charlotte Flair had formed a tentative alliance with the so-called "Anti-Diva" Paige, who shared her same goals of reforming the WWE Women's Division. Paige was in her corner as Charlotte took on Tamina Snuka in this title defense, and despite some miscommunication early on nearly costing Charlotte, Flair was able to hit the Natural Selection and then lock in the Figure-8 on Snuka to pick up the submission win and retain the title.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. Seth Rollins by Disqualification [Rollins Retains WWE Title] The night after Summerslam, a braggadocious Seth Rollins called himself the greatest WWE Champion of all time when he showed off both his title and the newly won US Title. However this boast was greeted by former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, who hadn't been seen since Wrestlemania and was still owed a title shot at his former belt, leading to this match at Night of Champions. Having already lost the US Title, Rollins was at a seeming disadvantage. The Crown Jewel of the Authority tried to run and hide from Lesnar, but the Beast Incarnate easily tossed him around the ring briefly. Before Lesnar could finish him off, though, the Authority goons of Sheamus, The Big Show & J&J Security came out and attacked Lesnar, resulting in Rollins being disqualified. Rollins escaped with his title, but Lesnar managed to toss both Big Show and Sheamus out of the ring before hitting F-5's on Noble and Mercury, easily knocking them out. Lesnar then stared down the champion as Rollins backed away, clutching his title as the event came to a close.

NXT Takeover: Respect October 7, 2015 Full Sail University Winter Park, FL
*The Hype Bros [Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder] d. The Vaudevillains by Pinfall [Aiden English & Simon Gotch] in the Semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic After the tragic death of Dusty Rhodes earlier in the year, NXT General Manager William Regal announced the creation of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, an 8 team tournament in which the winner would receive a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships. The semifinals and finals were set to occur at this Takeover special. In the first semifinal, the relatively new team of The Hype Bros, Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder, defeated former NXT Tag Team Champions The Vaudevillains when Ryder pinned Gotch following a Ruff Ryder.
*DIY [Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa] d. Enzo Amore & Big Cass w/Carmella by Submission in the Semifinals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Indie sensations Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa had formed a superteam called DIY and entered themselves into the Dusty Rhodes Classic as well, making it to the semifinals against former tag champions Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Despite the giant Cass tossing Gargano around the ring, Gargano managed to hit Cass with the Last Heartbeat to knock out the big man, while Ciampa locked Enzo in a Fujiwara Armbar to get the victory and advance to the finals.
*Apollo Crews d. Baron Corbin by Pinfall to Win the NXT North American Title The undefeated Apollo Crews took on Baron Corbin for the NXT North American Championship, seeking to upset the Lone Wolf of NXT. In a hard hitting, closely fought match, Corbin went for End of Days on Crews, but Apollo managed to reverse himself out of the move and then hit Corbin with the Crews Control to pick up the win and capture the North American Title.
*Asuka d. Emma by Submission The hyped up Joshi import Asuka made her NXT debut against former Women's Champion Emma. The self-professed Empress of Tomorrow easily bested the Down Under Princess, locking her in a crossface chickenwing like move termed the Rising Sun in order to win her debut via Submission.
*American Alpha [Jason Jordan & Chad Gable] d. The Revival [Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson] by Pinfall in a Tornado Rules Match to Win the NXT Tag Team Titles American Alpha challenged again for the NXT Tag Team Titles, taking on the team that was quickly becoming their rivals in The Revival. The match was given the stipulation of being contested under Tornado Rules, which meant that all four men would be in the ring at the same time. Following a stellar match reminiscent of the Midnight and Rock 'n Roll Express fights of years past, American Alpha hit the Grand Amplitude on Wilder to pick up the win and take the titles.
*DIY d. The Hype Bros in the Finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic With the newly crowned tag team champions sitting at ringside, DIY took on The Hype Bros in the finals of the inaugural Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Gargano and Ciampa were caught off guard by the high energy of Rawley and Ryder early on, but in the end they hit a combination knee smash and Superkick to the head of Mojo to pick up the win and earn the title opportunity.
*Bayley d. Sasha Banks in a 30-Minute Iron Woman Match to Retain the NXT Women's Title After finally capturing the NXT Women's Championship at the Takeover before SUmmerslam, Bayley had a celebration on an episode of Smackdown, thanking the fans for being with her on the journey to the top. The party was crashed by former NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks, who challenged Bayley to a rematch at this Takeover, in the first ever NXT Iron Woman Match. Over the course of 30 Minutes, the two had a dynamic match similar to their previous encounters. In the end, Bayley managed to hit a Bayley to Belly as time expired, finally scoring the first and only fall to win the match and earn Sasha's respect as champion to close the show.

WWE Hell in a Cell October 25, 2015 Staples Center Los Angeles, CA
*John Cena d. Cody by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match to Retain the United States Title The annual Hell in a Cell event was set to feature three matches in the feared structure, all for championships. The first such match saw John Cena defend his United States Title against Cody, a continuation of their feud from Summerslam when Cody cost Cena the same title. Untethered from his "image consultant" Brandi Stiles, Cody was far more violent than he had been in recent months, even busting open Cena by ramming his head into an exposed turnbuckle. However Cena perservered over the former Rhodes, and hit an Attitude Adjustment onto some steel steps in the ring before pinning Cody to retain the title.
*Braun Strowman w/Luke Harper d. Kane by Pinfall The Monster Amongst Men was challenged by another Monster in the Demon Kane, as he tried to stop Braun Strowman's run of dominance in the WWE. Despite his reputation, Kane was easily overcome by Strowman's superior strength and size, as the Black Sheep of the Wyatt Family easily lifted the 300 lb Kane onto his shoulders and delivered a thunderous Running Powerslam for the win.
*Sasha Banks d. Natalya by Submission In a standard Women's Match, Sasha Banks continued her run of dominance since coming to the main roster, defeating Natalya by locking her in the Banks Statement and getting the tap out victory.
*Roman Reigns d. Bray Wyatt by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match to Win the Intercontinental Title The second Hell in a Cell match of the night saw Bray Wyatt conclude his feud with Roman Reigns over the Intercontinental Title. After months of psychological warfare from the leader of the Wyatt Family (including thinly veiled threats against Roman's family), Reigns finally managed to get his hands on Wyatt and toss him around the Cell, free of interference from the Family. At least at first, as when Reigns appeared ready to hit a Spear for the victory, the lights went out and when they came up, Luke Harper appeared in the ring and drilled Reigns with a Discus Clothesline. Harper and Wyatt then went to town on the Big Dog in a 2 on 1 beatdown, only for a bell to toll and the lights to go down again. When they came back up, the Undertaker appeared in the ring, making his first appearance since Wyatt had ended his vaunted streak at Wrestlemania. Undertaker chokeslammed Harper and Tombstoned Wyatt, allowing Reigns to pick up the win and regain the Intercontinental Championship.
*The Dudley Boyz [Bubba Ray & D-Von Dudley] d. The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] by Pinfall to Retain the WWE World Tag Team Titles The Dudley Boyz had shocked much of the WWE by winning the World Tag Team Titles from The Ascension on the Go Home Episode of Raw, meaning that their match against the Usos was suddenly for said titles. In a battle of generational tag teams, the 7-time champions used their veteran saavy to pull off a sudden victory, catching Jimmy with a 3-D out of nowhere to pick up the win and retain the titles.
*Paige d. Charlotte Flair by Disqualification [Charlotte Flair Retains the Divas Championship] The brief alliance between Paige and Charlotte Flair came to an abrupt end after Night of Champions, after the Anti-Diva turned on Charlotte and made clear her intentions of regaining the Divas Championship. The feud became far more personal in the build, when Paige brought up the drug overdose death of Charlotte's brother Reid Flair. It would be this catalyst that would lead to the end of this match, as Charlotte couldn't contain her fury in dealing with Paige, getting herself disqualified while trying to choke out Paige in the corner. As Charlotte was held back by officials, Paige got a cheap shot in with her right hand, dazing Charlotte, before grabbing her and hitting the RamPaige DDT on the title belt on the ground, leaving her lying before walking off.
*Kevin Owens & The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] w/Kevin Sullivan d. Dean Ambrose & The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Big E] w/Xavier Woods by Pinfall Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Ascension teamed with Kevin Owens against The New Day and "honorary" New Day member Dean Ambrose, though the Lunatic Fringe wasn't interested in dancing around. Owens and Ambrose had begun feuding in recent weeks, and they were largely focused only on one another, leaving The Ascension and The New Day to their own devices. In the end, Owens came back to the ring fast enough to catch Kingston with a Pop-Up Powerbomb out of nowhere just as The New Day were about to win, giving his team the victory, before continuing his brawl with Ambrose.
*Rusev d. Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman & Seth Rollins via Money in the Bank Cash-In in a Hell in a Cell Match to Win the WWE Championship The main event of the night was initially Brock Lesnar facing Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, to ensure that the Authority could not interfere in the match. Rollins came prepared for Lesnar, using weapons stashed under the ring to try and take out the Beast Incarnate, and always managing to escape the F-5 whenever possible. Lesnar and Rollins eventually destroyed the outside Cell wall, brawling around at ringside, with Rollins even hitting a Pedigree through an announce table. Nothing could keep Lesnar down though, and as Rollins went for a Curb Stomp back in the ring, Lesnar finally caught him and hit an F-5, though both men collapsed to the ground. This brought out Mr. Money in the Bank, Rusev, who cashed in his briefcase and suddenly made the match a triple threat. After failure to pin Rollins, Rusev turned his attention to Lesnar and tried to beat him down. Lesnar caught Rusev for an F-5, but Rollins blindly hit him in the gut with a sledge hammer. The Bulgarian Brute then hit a huge T-Bone Suplex on Rollins, before pinning the exhausted challenger and picking up the win, successfully cashing in and becoming WWE Champion in one fell swoop to end the show.

NXT Takeover: Atlanta November 21, 2015 Center Stage Atlanta, GA
*Asuka d. Alexa Bliss by Submission The Empress of Tomorrow continued her undefeated streak in NXT, defeating Alexa Bliss via her Rising Sun submission hold in another dominant victory with little trouble.
*The Revival [Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder] d. DIY [Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa] by Pinfall DIY had become #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Titles by virtue of winning the Dusty Rhodes Classic. However their title match with American Alpha was interrupted by former champions The Revival, who caused the match to be thrown out. This led to Ciampa and Gargano challenging Dawson and Wilder to a match. DIY were in control, but a ref bump prevented them from scoring the victory. A ring bell shot to Ciampa followed by a Spike Piledriver on Gargano before the ref got up led to the victory for The Revival, as medical personnel came out to attend to Gargano and Ciampa after the match.
*Baron Corbin d. Big Cass w/Enzo Amore & Carmella by Pinfall Baron Corbin had made rather lewd comments towards Enzo Amore's girlfriend, Carmella, leading to Enzo trying to stand up to the Lone Wolf. Amore was crushed by Corbin in a match, only to be saved by his tag partner Big Cass. In this match, Cass availed himself better against the former NXT North American Champion, but in the end he got caught with the End of Days by Corbin who picked up the win.
*Apollo Crews d. James Storm by Pinfall to Retain the NXT North American Title The Cowboy James Storm had made his entrance into NXT in recent weeks, targeting the undefeated NXT North American Champion Apollo Crews. The Cowboy had the best shot against Crews to date, coming close to ending his undefeated streak and winning the North American Title in the process. However Crews caught him with the Crews Control and picked up the win to retain the title and keep his unblemished record in tact.
*Bayley d. Nia Jax by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Women's Title The unstoppable force known as Nia Jax had made mince meat out of every woman she had been in the ring with, and targeted NXT Women's Champion Bayley, squashing her in a non-title match on NXT television en route to earning this title shot. Bayley however outsmarted the challenger, using a Rope-A-Dope strategy to wear down the challenger and eventually hit a top rope cross body for the victory and title retention for the ultimate underdog of NXT.
*Samoa Joe d. Finn Balor by Pinfall to Win the NXT Championship The feud between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor over the NXT Championship had continued for several weeks, leading to Joe finally getting a one on one shot for the championship again at this Takeover. What followed was a near 30-minute match between Balor and Joe with several near falls, including Joe actually kicking out of a Coup de Grace. Balor managed to get Joe down a second time and go for a second Coupe de Grace, but Joe popped up and knocked Balor onto the top rope. He then hit a Muscle Buster for the win to become NXT Champion.
