WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs December 4, 2016 American Airlines Center Dallas, TX
*The Fashion Police [Tyler Breeze & Fandango] d. The Hype Bros [Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder] & The Vaudevillains [Simon Gotch & Aiden English] by Pinfall This triple threat match would see the winning team earn a future shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles, much to the chagrin of former champions The Club (who had been relegated to facing the "dream team" of John Cena and Randy Orton in the semi-main event of the evening.) Despite being considered a comedic act, Tyler Breeze and Fandango continued their winning streak, eventually pinning Aiden English after Breeze hit him with the Beauty Shot to pick up the win.
*Bray Wyatt d. The Miz w/Maryse by Pinfall At the Survivor Series, Bray Wyatt had been a last minute replacement for former Intercontinental Champion, The Miz, at the behest of Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan (part of the ongoing feud between Bryan and The Miz). The A-Lister had taken offense to the Eater of Worlds' arrival on Smackdown and foolishly challenged him to this match. Wyatt easily dispatched Miz, despite the latter's heel tactics giving him an early advantage. Wyatt eventually hit Miz with Sister Abigail's Kiss to pick up the win.
*Dolph Ziggler d. Baron Corbin in a Chairs Match to Retain the Intercontinental Title The Lone Wolf of NXT had taken up the mantle of challenging Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship, viciously attacking Ziggler on an episode of Smackdown with a Steel Chair, including trying to break his ankle with a Pillman-esque move. This led Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan to make a Chairs match between the two at TLC. Corbin took advantage of Ziggler's injured ankle, and tried to attack it with the chair yet again. However Ziggler fought back and hit a Super Kick out of nowhere onto the chair, straight into the face of Corbin. Ziggler then caught the Lone Wolf with a Zig Zag onto the fallen chair to pick up the win and retain his title.
*American Alpha [Chad Gable & Jason Jordan] d. The Family [Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] in a Tables Match to Retain the WWE Tag Team Titles With the arrival of Bray Wyatt to Smackdown, the former Wyatt Family's loyalty was seemingly tested. They had been under the leadership of Luke Harper since the draft split them up, and Harper appeared reticent to defer back to the leadership of Wyatt. Bray's presence would end up costing the family as he appeared on the stage in his trademark rocking chair, watching Harper and Rowan challenge American Alpha for the WWE Tag Titles in a Tables Match. Harper paused momentarily to watch Wyatt on the entryway, but that provided the opening for Chad Gable to hit a massive Chaos Theory suplex into the corner through a table to pick up the win for his team.
*Alexa Bliss d. Becky Lynch by Pinfall in a No Disqualification Match to Win the Women's World Championship Alexa Bliss had won a #1 contenders match against a returning Mickie James on an episode of Smackdown, earning this match against Becky Lynch for the Women's World Championship. Lynch controlled much of the match after a lengthy back and forth at the start over the Self-Professed Goddess, though things took a surprising turn when James made her way to ringside to observe what was going on. It looked as if James would try and help Lynch win, but "accidentally" tripped Becky on an Irish Whip. When Lynch confronted James behind the referee's back, the legend drilled Lynch with a forearm shot and staggered her, allowing Bliss to roll up Becky from behind and score the victory and win the title. After the match, Mickie and Alexa both beat down the former champion, solidifying their unlikely alliance.
*John Cena & Randy Orton d. The Club [Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson] by Pinfall The dream team of John Cena and Randy Orton took on former WWE Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as a way of trying to keep them from interfering in AJ Styles' match with Apollo Crews later in the night. Despite early miscommunications giving The Club an advantage at the beginning of the match, Orton eventually made a hot tag to Cena and allowed John to clear out both Gallows and Anderson, eventually pinning Gallows following an Attitude Adjustment in the center of the ring. After the match as Orton and Cena celebrated, though, Orton hit Cena with an RKO for good measure.
*AJ Styles d. Apollo Crews in a TLC Match to Retain the WWE Championship Apollo Crews had won a Battle Royal on Smackdown in an upset over Dean Ambrose, earning a shot at the WWE Champion in the main event of TLC. So incensed over this defeat was the Lunatic Fringe, that Smackdown Showrunner Shane McMahon ordered Ambrose removed from the arena to allow for a fair fight. The sensational Crews was seemingly more than a match for the champion, though Styles was able to use the environment of a TLC match to keep Crews from trying to climb the ladder and retrieve the belt. Eventually, with Shawn Michaels watching at ringside (as Styles had been engaged in a war of words with the Hall of Famer in recent weeks), Styles was able to hit a Phenomenal Forearm off the top of the ladder to Crews, climb back up and retrieve his title. After the match, as Styles celebrated, he was attacked by Ambrose who came in from the crowd, leading to a pull apart brawl to close the show.

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line December 18, 2016 PPG Paints Arena Pittsburgh, PA
*Roman Reigns d. Chris Jericho by Pinfall to Earn the Right to Name the Stipulation for the World Heavyweight Championship Match Roman Reigns had become the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship after a mini tournament on Raw (and with the removal of Seth Rollins from the show due to injury, following an attack on the Architect by Triple H). However, a stipulation could not be agreed on for the match between Owens and Reigns, leading to Raw Showrunner Stephanie McMahon making a match between the #1 contender and Owens' best friend Chris Jericho, with the winner able to pick the stipulation of their choice. Jericho tried his best against the Big Dog, but Reigns eventually hit Jericho with a thunderous Spear after Jericho was showboating to the crowd to pick up the win, setting the stage for a steel cage match later in the night.
*Braun Strowman d. The Brian Kendrick by Pinfall The Brian Kendrick had signed an exclusive contract with Raw in recent weeks, and had issued an open challenge for Roadblock for his "official debut." However his official debut was undone by the arrival of Braun Strowman, who proceeded to steamroll Kendrick with a Running Powerslam for the victory.
*The Bar [Sheamus & Cesaro] d. The Revival [Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder] & The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Big E] w/Xavier Woods in a Triple Threat Match to Win the World Tag Team Titles The team of Sheamus and Cesaro had continued to be a dominant one on Raw, finally getting a chance to challenge The Revival for the World Tag Team Titles. However former champions The New Day were added into the mix when they defeated The Revival in a non-title match courtesy of a distraction from The Bar, making the match a triple threat. The Revival were the focus of both challenging teams for the course of the match, but they were able to get the better of Kofi and Big E, hitting the former with the Shatter Machine for a near fall. However when Dawson got to his feet from the near fall, he ran right into a Brogue Kick from Sheamus, which sent him staggering into a Zurich Bomb from Cesaro for the win, giving the former sworn enemies the World Tag Team Titles.
*Rusev w/Lana d. Big Cass w/Enzo Amore by Submission In a standard match, Rusev got back to his winning ways by defeating Big Cass via Submission, locking him in the Accolade after dispatching Enzo Amore with a massive suplex through the Spanish announce table, as Rusev looked to dominate into 2017.
*"El Generico" d. Kallisto by Pinfall to Retain the United States Title The high flying luchadore Kallisto was set to face Sami Zayn for the United States Title, however a "problem with Zayn's flight" caused the champion to miss the event supposedly. However he sent a replacement in the form of his good friend, El Generico (actually Zayn under a mask, though no one acknowledged this on camera) to defend the title for him. Generico got a good reaction from the crowd and had an athletic match with Kallisto, hitting a cross body from the top rope to pick up the win and retain the title "for Sami."
*Charlotte Flair d. Sasha Banks 3-2 in overtime of a 30 Minute Iron Woman Match to Win the WWE Women's Championship The feud between Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks reached its final end, as the two once again fought for the WWE Women's Championship in a 30 Minute Iron Woman Match. The champion was able to score an early pinfall in the first 30 seconds with a small package on the challenger, but Flair went up 2 to 1 after hitting a Natural Selection for the first fall and then causing Banks to be counted out after clipping her knee on the outside. Sasha tied the match right at the end of the 30 minutes by locking in the Banks Statement, evening the match at 2 falls a piece, necessitating a sudden death overtime. However, Flair took advantage of the injured knee of the champion and locked in the Figure-8 in the center of the ring, getting the final submission victory and regaining her title.
*Kevin Owens w/Chris Jericho d. Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage Match to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship With his victory over Chris Jericho in the opening match, Roman Reigns got to make this match a Steel Cage Match to try and keep Jericho out of his title match with Kevin Owens. The champion was able to take advantage early, attacking Roman just as the match began and tossing him against the Steel Cage in an effort to wear down the former WWE Champion. Reigns fought back though and caught Owens trying to escape up the cage, dropping him with a huge Samoan Drop from the middle of the cage back into the ring. Jericho then made his presence known, climbing up the cage and diving in onto Reigns in an effort to save Owens' title. Reigns fought with Jericho however, eventually spearing him into the cage wall and causing it to swing open. Owens took the opportunity to jump out of the open cage wall before Reigns knew what was going on and escaping with his title, abandoning Jericho to be flattened by Reigns again to close the show.

Note: For simplicity's sake, the NXT UK brand doesn't exist in this timeline. It'd just be too many stories and brands to keep track of. The talent I want to use I will migrate over to NXT and WWE as necessary. In place of the NXT UK PLE's, more International Series events (some of which are glorified house shows) will be added instead. I also create a new International Championship to make up for the United Kingdom Championship.
WWE International Series: War of the WorldsJanuary 1, 2017 Palau Sant Jordi Barcelona, Spain
*Apollo Crews Won a 30 Man NXT vs. WWE Battle Royal To kick off this special joint International Event, 30 stars from NXT and WWE competed in an over the top rope battle royal. The match came down to two stars from Raw (Sami Zayn and Rusev), two from NXT (Austin Aries & Andrade El Idolo) and one from Smackdown in Apollo Crews. Rusev and Zayn eliminated each other from the match, while Andrade and Aries tried to team up to take out the young star of Smackdown. Crews however was able to eliminate Andrade by low bridging the top rope, and then delivered a Crews Control to the NXT North American Champion to win this big battle royal.
*The Miz w/Maryse d. Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall to Win the WWE Intercontinental Championship In a return from their lengthy feud throughout the fall, Dolph Ziggler defended the Intercontinental Championship against the man he won the title from back in October, The Miz. Unlike previous encounters, Dolph was far more sure of himself, and looked to be cruising to victory over the most decorated IC Champion of all time. However Maryse would get involved after a ref bump, hitting a low blow on the champion that set him up for a Skull Crushing Finale on the title belt, giving Miz the win and an unprecedented 8th Intercontinental Championship Reign.
*Mickie James d. Becky Lynch by Pinfall A few weeks prior at TLC, Becky Lynch had been screwed out of the World Women's Championship by veteran Mickie James, who had aligned herself with Alexa Bliss as her new "protege" of sorts. This led to Lynch challenging James to a match at this International Event. The younger star was able to keep up with the former Divas Champion, but the appearance of Bliss at ringside essentially hurt the Irish Lass-Kicker's chances, as James eventually hit a front jawbreaker that stunned Lynch after a distraction from the champion, before rolling up Lynch and picking up the win.
*The Club [AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows] d. The New Day [Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods] bin an Interpromotional Elimination 6 Man Tag Match. The Club and The New Day renewed their rivalry from earlier in the year in this interpromotional elimination 6 Man Tag Match. The New Day went up early as Karl Anderson was eliminated following a Midnight Hour from Big E and Kofi Kingston, but then went up 2 to 1 on Xavier Woods when Styles hit a Phenomenal Forearm on Kingston to pin him after Big E was disqualified for losing his temper following a lowblow on his teammate behind the ref's back. Woods was able to fight back to even, hitting a Limit Break on Gallows to make the match one on one, but Styles eventually pinned Xavier with the Styles Clash to take the match for the Club.
*Samoa Joe d. Shinsuke Nakamura by Pinfall in a Lumberjack Match to Win the NXT Championship Several NXT stars surrounded the ring for this Lumberjack match between two longtime rivals in Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura. This included Bobby Roode, who had been feuding with both men for either the NXT Title or a shot at the same. Joe and Nakamura had the same match they had had several times over the course of the year, with the Lumberjacks each attacking both men at various points. In the end, Joe managed to catch Nakamura on the top rope as he seemed to be looking to dive to the outside onto Roode, hitting him with a Muscle Buster to pick up the win and regain the NXT Championship.
*Hideo Itami d. Adrian Neville, Jinder Mahal & Mustafa Ali by Pinfall to Win the International Championship A new title was introduced at this event called the International Championship, which ostensibly would be defended around the world and across all brands of WWE and NXT. A Fatal Fourway match featuring stars from NXT and the main roster was held to crown the new champion, and the match was eventually won by Japanese star Hideo Itami after he hit a GTS on Mustafa Ali to pick up the win and capture the gold.
*Alexa Bliss d. Bayley by Pinfall in an Interpromotional Non-Title Match Another interpromotional women's match was made between the World Women's Champion Alexa Bliss and one of the top contenders on Raw, Bayley. The self-professed Hugger Champion was more than a match for Bliss, even getting a near fall after hitting a massive Tornado DDT from the top rope that stunned the champion. In the end though, much as she had helped Mickie James in her match earlier in the night, James came out and helped Bliss and distracted Bayley long enough for Bliss to hit a DDT of her own and then follow up with Twisted Bliss to pick up the win.
*Roman Reigns & John Cena Wrestled to a 30 Minute Time Limit Draw For the first time ever two huge stars in Roman Reigns and John Cena fought in a one on one match, not for any titles but simply for bragging rights. The build for the match seemed to echo the generational impact of it, and the two men were easily evenly matched. Neither man could gain an advantage and in the end the match ended in a time limit draw, with both men shaking the hand of the other for a well fought contest. After the match, The Miz came out for a second time, lambasting both men and proclaiming himself as the true "generational talent", only to be Speared by Roman and then hit with a Five Knuckle Shuffle from Cena for good measure.
*Dean Ambrose d. Kevin Owens w/Chris Jericho by Disqualification [Owens Retains the World Heavyweight Title] The main event of the evening could have seen a seismic shift in the landscape of WWE, as Smackdown's Dean Ambrose challenged Raw's Kevin Owens for the World Heavyweight Championship. Ambrose and Owens were more than evenly matched, and it looked as if Ambrose would manage to pull off the unthinkable (especially after Jericho was ejected from ringside) when he caught Owens with a Paradigm Shift for a near fall. However his chances were thwarted by the arrival of AJ Styles, who pulled the referee out of the ring as Anderson and Gallows stormed the ring, resulting in a DQ win for Ambrose but keeping the title on Owens. Ambrose would have been beaten down by the Club, but was saved by a cadre of faces including Finn Balor, John Cena and Roman Reigns, with the faces standing tall to end the show.

NXT Takeover: San Antonio January 28, 2017 Freeman Coliseum San Antonio, TX
*In the opening segment of NXT Takeover, the producer of NXT Triple H appeared in front of the crowd to welcome them to the Freeman Coliseum. However before he could complete his introduction, Triple H was attacked from behind by a returning Seth Rollins. A pull apart brawl between the two followed
*Aleister Black d. Hideo Itami by Pinfall to Win the International Championship Japanese star Hideo Itami defended the International Championship against the mysterious Aleister Black. The Darkfather countered Itami's strong style attacks with his own unique blend of power moves and martial arts. In the end, Black caught Itami unaware with a roundhouse kick he called the Black Mass to pick up the win and become International Champion.
*Mustafa Ali d. No Way Jose by Pinfall In a standard match, Mustafa Ali defeated No Way Jose after hitting him with a 450 splash from the top rope.
*The Authors of Pain [Akam & Rezar] w/Paul Ellering d. The Mighty Aussies [Nick Miller & Shane Thorne] by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Tag Team Titles The Mighty Aussies had become the first tag team to pin the Authors of Pain in a non-title match, defeating them on the first episode of NXT of the New Year. They nearly duplicated this feat in this match, isolating Akam and hitting him with the Thunder Down Under to get a near fall. A distraction from Paul Ellering on the outside though led to AOP retaking control of the match and hitting the Last Chapter on Shane Thorne to pick up the win.
*Andrade El Idolo d. Austin Aries, Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa to Win the NXT North American Title Austin Aries put his North American title on the line against former champion Johnny Gargano as well as Gargano's tag partner Tomasso Ciampa in what was originally scheduled to be a triple threat match. However, Andrade El Idolo was added to the match after scoring pinfall victories over both members of DIY in singles action, making it a Fatal Fourway match. Andrade would continue his winning streak by actually pinning the champion as Gargano and Ciampa continued to show signs of dissension, hitting Aries with the La Sombra to become the new North American Champion.
*Ember Moon d. Nikki Cross w/Sanity by Pinfall To crown a new #1 contender for the NXT Women's Title, Ember Moon faced off against Nikki Cross of Sanity, hoping to earn another shot at Asuka's championship. With the Empress of Tomorrow at ringside watching, Moon was able to defeat the psychotic Cross, hitting the Eclipse to pick up the win before staring down with the champion.
*Bobby Roode d. Samoa Joe & Shinsuke Nakamura by Pinfall to Win the NXT Championship As Bobby Roode had been feuding with both Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura leading into War of the Worlds, his involvement in the Lumberjack match had led to Samoa Joe defeating Nakamura and becoming the new NXT Champion. NXT General Manager William Regal made a triple threat match for this event, pitting the former champion and Roode against the Samoan Destroyer. Joe held his own despite the odds being stacked against him, but fell to a Boma Ye from Nakamura that would have given the King of Strong Style the title once again. However Roode was able to dive in and stop the pinfall count, hitting Nakamura with a Glorious DDT before pinning Joe and stealing the win, becoming the new NXT Champion to close the show.

WWE Royal Rumble January 29, 2017 Alamodome San Antonio, TX
*Kevin Owens w/Chris Jericho d. Roman Reigns by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship in October, Kevin Owens had largely relied on his best friend Chris Jericho to help him retain the title. In this rematch against Roman Reigns, Owens would be left to his own devices as Jericho was locked in a Shark Cage at ringside. Owens was able to hold his own against the Big Dog, but it looked as if Reigns would win after hitting Owens with a Spear, only for Owens to clip the referee as he went down. Reigns tried to revive the referee, but Owens got to he feet and low blowed Reigns. The champion then grabbed the keys to the shark cage from ringside and tossed them to Jericho, freeing him. Owens and Jericho then tried to put the boots to the challenger, but Reigns fought back, hitting a Spear on Jericho after Owens pulled him in front of the challenger to save himself. As Reigns got to his feet, Owens then used the World Title belt to KO Reigns as the referee finally came too, getting the tainted pinfall victory.
*Bayley d. Charlotte Flair by Disqualification [Charlotte Retains the WWE Women's Title] A lifelong fan of WWE, Bayley had been through the NXT system and come to Raw the past August, and had been a thorn in the side of Charlotte Flair that entire time. This title match was billed as her best opportunity to gain the Women's Title, having defeated Sasha Banks in a #1 contenders match and then pinned Flair in a non-title match on Raw the next week. Bayley was able to fight off all of the champions offense, and fired up with a comeback after fighting to the ropes when Flair tried to lock in the Figure 8. Her back against the wall, Charlotte pulled a trick out of her father's book, hitting a low blow on the referee to result in a deliberate disqualification, losing the match but keeping her title in tact.
*The Fashion Police [Tyler Breeze & Fandango] d. The Club [Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows] & American Alpha [Chad Gable & Jason Jordan] by Pinfall to Win the WWE Tag Team Titles The duo of Tyler Breeze and Fandango had been on a winning streak on Smackdown, leading to them being added to the ongoing feud between The Club and American Alpha for the WWE Tag Team Titles. All three teams had chances to win the belts, with the Club and AA more focused on each other than on the comedic team of Breeze and Fandango. That was too their detriment however, as Breeze was able to catch Karl Anderson with a Beauty Shot out of nowhere after the Club hit Jason Jordan with the Magic Killer. While Fandango ran interference, Breeze made the cover and got the upset win, taking the titles.
*Alexa Bliss w/Mickie James d. Naomi by Pinfall to Retain the World Women's Championship The alliance between Alexa Bliss and Mickie James had continued to bear fruit for the champion, as she had been able to fend off her top challenger in Becky Lynch with little difficulty. Bliss defended the title against Naomi here in a reflection of her other title defenses, utilizing the veteran James to put Naomi down so that Bliss could hit Twisted Bliss for the victory.
*The Undertaker d. Goldberg by Pinfall For the first time ever The Undertaker did battle with Goldberg in a clash of the titans. While The Undertaker's career was still technically on the line in this match, this fact was ignored in favor of the larger magnitude of the confrontation at hand. Both men traded big time moves, including Undertaker sitting straight up from an initial Spear, and Goldberg popping up from a Chokeslam. After a brief exchange between the two of power moves, Goldberg inadvertantly Speared the referee, before hitting another Spear followed by a Jackhammer on the Undertaker. Goldberg made the visual pin, but was interrupted by a returning Brock Lesnar, who was seeking revenge from his humiliation at Survivor Series. Goldberg was able to fight off Lesnar, but the distraction allowed the Undertaker to sit up and hit Goldberg with the Last Ride, getting the pin as the referee came to.
*The Bar [Sheamus & Cesaro] d. The Shining Stars [Primo & Epico] by Pinfall to Retain the World Tag Team Titles In a standard tag team title defense, The Bar of Sheamus and Cesaro continued their winning ways over former champions Primo and Epico, defeating the Shining Stars of the Caribbean with an assisted Zurich Bomb for the win.
*Chris Jericho Won the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match The Royal Rumble match began with both members of the Usos competing with each other, but quickly became a story of big star after big star making his way to the ring. Apollo Crews shined early on, eliminating The Big Show with little difficulty, and he lasted towards near the end of the match. Bray Wyatt also distinguished himself, though at one point he accidentally eliminated his fellow Wyatt Family member Luke Harper from the match. Seth Rollins entered at number 30, but he was immediately jumped from behind by Triple H as a response to Rollins' invasion of the Takeover special the night before, laying out the Architect and effectively denying him any chance of winning the match. In the end, the final four of the match were Chris Jericho, Bray Wyatt, Rusev and Baron Corbin. Wyatt and Jericho were able to eliminate Corbin and Rusev with little difficulty, and then squared off with each other, with the announcers hearkening back to Jericho being Wyatt's first opponent in WWE. The results were different this time, as Jericho was able to reverse Wyatt's momentum on an Irish Whip and then hit him with a Codebreaker coming back, before dropkicking him over the top rope and picking up his second Royal Rumble win in his career.
*Dean Ambrose d. AJ Styles by Pinfall to Win the WWE Championship The main event of the evening saw AJ Styles defend the WWE Championship against the man he had been feuding with off and on all year, Dean Ambrose. However the bigger story was the ongoing war of words that Styles had been engaged in with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels since October, when he talked down Michaels on an episode of Smackdown. The two had traded barbs on twitter, but every time Styles challenged HBK, Michaels insisted he would honor his retirement. In Michaels Hometown of San Antonio, and with Michaels watching at ringside with his wife, Styles and Ambrose had a match similar to the one they had throughout the fall. At one point, Styles spat on Michaels in front of his wife and then shoved HBK down, knocking his wife over. The match continued while Michaels sat and seethed, right up until Styles hit a Phenomenal Forearm on Ambrose, accidentally taking the referee out at the same time. Styles taunted Michaels, and then turned his back on the legend, causing Michaels to jump the guardrail and come into the ring. Michaels then attacked Styles from behind, laying into him with right hands from pent up frustrations, before hitting Styles with Sweet Chin Music. Michaels then looked at Ambrose and draped the Lunatic Fringe's hands over Styles before jumping back into the crowd as Gallows and Anderson ran out to chase him. In the midst of this the referee came too and counted the pinfall, giving Ambrose the win and costing Styles his WWE Title.

WWE Elimination Chamber February 12, 2017 Talking Stick Resort Arena Phoenix, AZ
*The Miz w/Maryse d. Apollo Crews by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Championship After an impressive showing at the Royal Rumble, Apollo Crews was granted by Smackdown showrunner Shane McMahon a shot at The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship. The veteran attempted to do everything in his power to get intentionally disqualified, but the referee used his discretion to keep the match going. However it would be this veteran savvy of The Miz and the assistance of his wife that wound up costing Crews in the end, as a distraction from Maryse that kept Crews from setting up Miz for the Crews Control. Surreptitiously, she tossed her purse into the ring, and when Crews turned around he was drilled with the loaded object, which allowed Miz to pick up the win and retain his title.
*Becky Lynch d. Mickie James by Pinfall In a rematch from earlier in the year, Becky Lynch attempted to gain another title shot later in the night against Alexa Bliss for the World Women's Championship by defeating Mickie James. James did her best to try and fend off the former champion, but with Bliss banned from ringside Lynch was able to fight back and eventually hit James with a Uranage Slam from the second rope to pick up the win and earn a title opportunity later in the night.
*The Wyatt Family [Luke Harper & Erick Rowan] d. The Ascension [Konnor & Viktor] by Pinfall There had been some confusion as to whether or not Harper and Rowan would resume their previous allegiance with Bray Wyatt once the cult leader made his way to Smackdown in November. This potential confrontation reached a crescendo when Harper accidentally cost Wyatt a qualifying match for the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match against Baron Corbin. The two had seemingly reaffirmed their allegiance to Wyatt though, and in this tag match resumed their winning ways, easily besting former champions The Ascension when Harper defeated Konnor following a Discus Lariat.
*The Fashion Police [Tyler Breeze & Fandango] d. The Club [Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows] by Pinfall to Retain the WWE Tag Team Titles The Fashion Police had shocked many people by winning the WWE Tag Team Championships at the Royal Rumble, and many of those same people expected that Gallows and Anderson would easily regain the belts at Elimination Chamber. However they weren't counting on the outside involvement of American Alpha, who came to the ring and distracted Gallows and Anderson long enough for Fandango to pick up a rollup on Gallows and steal yet another victory, retaining the tag titles in unlikely fashion once again.
*Bray Wyatt d. AJ Styles by Pinfall Both Bray Wyatt and former WWE Champion AJ Styles had lost qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Title in the week following the Royal Rumble. However, with their still being uncertainty as to who Chris Jericho would choose to face at Wrestlemania, Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan put both men in a match at Elimination Chamber to determine a #1 contender, should the Royal Rumble winner elect not to face the WWE Champion at Mania. Wyatt and Styles had a highly competitive match, full of back and forth action, which to the surprise of many Wyatt managed to win clean after catching Styles off an attempted Phenomenal Forearm and reversing it into Sister Abigail for the win.
*Alexa Bliss w/Mickie James d. Becky Lynch by Pinfall to Retain the World Women's Championship Per the stipulation of the earlier match, Becky Lynch returned and cashed in her title shot at World Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. The Goddess took early control of the match, due to the fact that Lynch had a match previously in the night and that Mickie James was on the outside (only for James to be ejected from ringside due to her interference). However Becky would quickly turn the tide and make a comeback, getting several near falls on the champion. In the end, James would make her way to ringside just as Lynch was setting up for the Disarm-Her, only to eat a forearm shot from Becky. Alexa would then roll up Becky from behind for a three count and escape through the crowd with her title, while Becky took her frustrations out on James, locking her in the Disarm-Her and nearly breaking her arm before officials could break the hold.
*John Cena d. Dean Ambrose, Adrian Neville, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin & Randy Orton in an Elimination Chamber Match to Win the WWE Championship With Smackdown hosting the Elimination Chamber this year, newly crowned WWE Champion Dean Ambrose would defend his title against 5 other top contenders (including Dolph Ziggler and Randy Orton, who had seemingly begun feuding on Smackdown in the leadup to the event). The match would come down to Cena and Ambrose, with the Lunatic Fringe nearly surviving to keep his title intact following a massive King Kong Lariat to the future hall of famer. Cena however kicked out at 2 and eventually locked in the STF, getting the submission victory and winning the WWE Title for an unprecedented 10th time to close the show. - Adrian Neville and Randy Orton started the match at numbers 1 and 2 Respectively. - Dean Ambrose entered at #3. - Baron Corbin entered at #4 - John Cena entered at #5 - Dolph Ziggler entered at #6 - Baron Corbin d. WWE Fastlane March 5, 2017 Bradley Center Milwaukee, WI
*The Bar [Sheamus & Cesaro] d. Enzo Amore & Big Cass by Pinfall to Retain the World Tag Team Titles Former tag team champions Enzo and Big Cass kicked things off at Fastlane by challenging Sheamus & Cesaro, with another former team in The Revival doing color commentary on the match as well. The Bar had control, but a distraction from Cash Wheeler on the outside turned the tide in favor of Enzo and Cass briefly, even to the point where the champions hit the How Ya Doin and got a near fall on the hitherto unbeaten champions. Sheamus and Cesaro rallied though and eventually stole the Revival's own move, the Shatter Machine, hitting it on Enzo and picking up the win as they stared down their future opponents.
*Jinder Mahal w/Sumil & Samir Singh d. Kofi Kingston w/Big E & Xavier Woods Jinder Mahal had also returned to WWE in recent weeks, adopting the new gimmick of the "Modern Day Maharajah" and upholding his Indian culture as superior to America. He entered into a feud with the New Day, leading to Jinder challenging Kofi Kingston to a one on one match. To the surprise of many people, Jinder showed up with backup of his own in the form of the Bollywood Boyz from NXT, Sumil and Samir Singh, leading to the match essentially being a six man brawl from the start. The match did eventually get underway, with Jinder utilizing a distraction from the Singhs on the outside to roll up Kofi from behind and use the ropes for added leverage to get the cheap win.
*The Big Show d. Mustafa Ali, Noam Dar & Jack Gallagher by Pinfall The Big Show had made it clear that 2017 was going to be the year he reestablished his dominance in the WWE, making it a point to attack "pipsqueaks and backyard wannabes" from NXT, challenging three NXT stars to step up and try and stop him in a handicap match. Mustafa Ali recruited Noam Dar and Jack Gallagher for the opportunity, and despite the numbers advantage, Big Show was able to win after a Right Hand of Doom to Gallagher knocked him cold out. After the match, Big Show engaged in a war of words with Shaquille O'Neal, who was at ringside attending the event. He and Show had been engaged in a twitter war of words ever since O'Neal was in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 32. Show eventually shoved Shaq, leading to a pull apart brawl between the two men.
*Samoa Joe d. Seth Rollins by Referee Stoppage The night after the Royal Rumble, Seth Rollins had appeared once again on Raw to challenge Triple H to a fight. Triple H had refused, saying that he had nothing to prove against "his creation" other than to eventually destroy it. To that end, he would have another of his creations destroy him for Triple H. This brought out former NXT Champion Samoa Joe, who attacked Rollins and choked him out with the Coquina Clutch. Rollins was then hit with a Pedigree onto steel steps, giving him a concussion and putting him out of action. Against doctor's orders, Rollins came back early to face Joe in a match, but this worked to the advantage of the Samoan Destroyer. Eventually Joe locked Rollins in the Coquina Clutch again and Rollins passed out, causing the referee to stop the match as Triple H looked on from the entryway, nodding approvingly.
*The Brian Kendrick w/Alicia Fox d. Sami Zayn by Pinfall to Win the United States Title The Brian Kendrick had made his return to Raw in the New Year, and had aligned himself with a new paramour in the form of Alicia Fox. The two had formed an effective duo, granting Kendrick a shot at the United States Champion Sami Zayn after going on a winning streak. Zayn outwrestled Kendrick for much of the match, but Fox's appearance at ringside was enough to turn the tide, as after a lengthy back and forth between the two men, Fox held Zayn's foot when he attempted to suplex Kendrick in from the outside, giving Kendrick the chance to pin the champion and win the title unexpectedly.
*Roman Reigns d. Rusev w/Lana by Pinfall Former US Champion Rusev had been on a tear in recent weeks, putting him on a collision course with an old rival in Roman Reigns. The two fought are a hard battle, hitting big move after big move, with Rusev nearly getting the victory after locking Reigns in the Accolade. However Roman powered out of the move and slammed Rusev to the ground, before following up with a huge Spear to pick up the hard fought win.
*Kevin Owens d. Braun Strowman by Disqualification to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship The night after Elimination Chamber, it seemed as if Chris Jericho was ready to tell his best friend Kevin Owens that he would be challenging John Cena for the WWE title. He held the Festival of Friendship in Las Vegas, celebrating the friendship he had with Owens. However Owens turned on Jericho that night, hitting him with a powerbomb onto the ring apron and then slamming him face first into a television screen, having said Jericho's usefulness had run out. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman had won a battle royal to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane, and Owens had tried to take out the Monster Amongst Men by targeting his knee and cutting him down to size before the match. This strategy worked at first, but Strowman eventually fought back and nearly got a win with a huge lariat clothesline. Owens came back after the referee got knocked down by hitting the giant with a low blow, but from the crowd at that moment came a returning Chris Jericho, who ambushed Owens and began pummeling him. The referee did see this, disqualifying Strowman, but the bigger story was Jericho laying waste to his former friend, before Owens escaped as quickly as he could, Jericho in hot pursuit.
*Bayley d. Charlotte Flair by Pinfall to Win the WWE Women's Championship Bayley was given one final chance to challenge Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Championship, and early on it appeared that Flair would cheat to win, clipping Bayley's knee as she made her entrance to the ring. Flair spent the remainder of the match working over the knee, attempting to set up the Figure 8. Eventually Flair locked in the move, but Bayley fought back, cheered on by the appearance of her friend and rival Sasha Banks at ringside, and was able to escape to the ropes. Bayley then mounted a comeback despite her injury, eventually catching Flair with a Bayley to Belly Suplex for a near fall. Charlotte then clipped the knee for another time, clearly thinking she had the match won, gloating to Sasha at ringside. When Charlotte turned around though, she was caught in a small package by Bayley, who scored the surprise pin and won the Women's Championship. Charlotte looked on in shocked horror as she left the ring while Sasha and Bayley celebrated to end the night.

NXT Takeover: Orlando March 30, 2017 Amway Center Orlando, FL
*Sanity [Alexander Wolfe, Eric Young & Killian Dain] w/Nikki Cross d. Heavy Machinery [Tucker & Otis] & Roderick Strong by Pinfall The trio of Sanity had made their mark on NXT since their debut the previous year, and were virtually unbeaten in six man tag team action. This continued here, as Big Killian Dain ran roughshod over the tag team of Heavy Machinery, finishing off Tucker Knight with a huge splash from the second rope for the win.
*Aleister Black d. Noah Kassidy by Pinfall to Retain the International Championship Noah Kassidy had returned to NXT, seeking redemption for his actions as a member of the Wyatt Family years ago, but his attempts ran right into International Champion Aleister Black, who easily dispatched Kassidy following a Black Mass straight to his face that knocked him out cold.
*Asuka d. Aaliyah by Submission to Retain the NXT Women's Championship The young prospect Aaliyah had been putting together a bit of a winning streak on NXT television, so much so that she was given a shot at the undefeated Asuka by NXT General Manager William Regal. However Asuka ran through Aaliyah like a buzzsaw while Ember Moon sat in on commentary, locking her in the Rising Sun and easily achieving a tap out victory.
*Ember Moon d. Asuka by Pinfall to Win the NXT Women's Championship After Asuka had defeated Aaliyah, the Japanese star refused to let go of her submission hold, causing Ember Moon to intervene and save the youngster. Asuka responded by trying to spray Moon with the Blue Mist into her eyes, but Moon ducked the attack. Asuka then challenged Ember Moon to a title match right then and there. Moon accepted, but before the bell rang Aaliyah had grabbed a kendo stick from under the ring and drilled Asuka with it. The bell rang and Moon took the wounded Asuka and hit her with a slam, followed by an Eclipse to get the upset win, ending Asuka's undefeated streak and winning the Women's Title in controversial fashion.
*Buddy Murphy d. Andrade El Idolo by Pinfall to Win the NXT North American Title Former tag team specialist Buddy Murphy took on Andrade El Idolo for the North American Championship. Despite Andrade clearly having the advantage for much of the match, Murphy held on and dodged a DDT from Andrade to score with a rollup and win the North American Title in a stunner, leaving the crowd in shock.
*Bobby Roode d. Austin Aries by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Championship Former NXT North American Champion Austin Aries was challenging the Glorious Bobby Roode for the NXT Title, and had attacked the champion several times in the weeks leading up to Takeover Orlando, working over the injured neck of the champion. Aries was unable to take advantage of the champion's injury, though, as Roode eventually hit Austin with a Glorious DDT to pick up the victory and retain his title.
*The Authors of Pain [Akam & Rezar] w/Paul Ellering d. DIY [Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa] in a Ladder Match to Retain the NXT Tag Team Titles DIY made a final challenge against the Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Team Titles, essentially gambling their existence as a team for another shot at the gold in a ladder match (though the stipulation wasn't explicitly made, it was implied by the announcers). Though the former champions fought valiantly, in the end Akam and Rezar were able to climb the ladder first and retrieve the belts to retain. As the show came to a close on DIY celebrating their time as a team together, Tomasso Ciampa suddenly turned on his longtime friend and slammed him onto the stage, before tossing him into an LED video board, causing sparks to fly as the show went off the air.
