*Drew McIntyre d. Sheamus by Pinfall in a Hell in a Cell Match
The Hell in a Cell show kicked off with Drew McIntyre attempting to get revenge on Sheamus for costing him the WWE Championship, this time inside the dreaded steel structure. McIntyre and Sheamus beat each other within an inch of their lives, both men busting the other open. Not even the steel cage was able to contain their fight, as Sheamus broke open the structure with a powerful Brogue Kick at one point. In the end, Drew McIntyre hit three successive Claymores against the Celtic Warrior to put him down and gain a measure of revenge against his former best friend.
*Big E d. Shelton Benjamin w/MVP by Pinfall
The recent WWE draft had actually split the longtime faction of the New Day, with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston heading to Smackdown and Big E being sent to Monday Night Raw. The former tag champion continued the feud that the group had with MVP's Hurt Business, taking on Shelton Benjamin in this singles match. Despite interference from MVP on the outside (while the group leader, Bobby Lashley, watched from a luxury box nearby), Big E put Benjamin away with a Jackhammer Slam to pick up the win.
*Keith Lee d. Randy Orton by Pinfall in a #1 Contenders Match
The winner of this match was set to receive a shot at the World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in the near future, with the Viper taking on former United States Champion Keith Lee. The veteran Orton withstood the awesome power of Lee's offense, slowing down the match to his pace. To his credit though, Lee was able to avoid the dreaded RKO for much of the match. Towards the end, the lights suddenly went down on Orton, and when they came back with a red hue, the demonic visage of Alexa Bliis was in the ring, staring at Orton. The Fiend's music suddenly began playing, causing Orton to look around for the previously vanquished foe. The distraction allowed Lee to catch Orton with a Spirit Bomb and score the upset pinfall, leaving Orton frustrated and somewhat disturbed at Bray Wyatt's seeming indestruction.
*Daniel Bryan & Cesaro d. British Strong Style [Tyler Bate & Trent Seven] by Submission to Retain the WWE Tag Team Titles
In a standard title defense, the technically minded team of Daniel Bryan and Cesaro were able to successfully retain their tag team titles against British Strong Style, with Bryan scoring the submission victory over Tyler Bate via the LeBell Lock.
*Ricochet d. Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall to Retain the United States Championship
In another standard title defense, the One and Only Ricochet continued his recent string of victories as United States Champion, besting the Show Off Dolph Ziggler and retaining his title after hitting a 690 Senton from the top rope. After the match, the Show Off destroyed a steel chair on the outside in frustration at his lack of recent title success.
*Charlotte Flair d. Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing Match to Retain the WWE Women's Championship
After Charlotte Flair had been disqualified the previous month in order to hold on to her Women's Championship, WWE official Adam Pearce ordered a rematch for the title, this time in a Last Woman Standing match to ensure that there must be a winner. Despite duplicating her performance from the previous month, Nikki Cross suffered from an injured knee that was exacerbated by a lengthy stay in the Figure 8 during this match. In the end, both women were exhausted and knocked to the ground. However Cross' injured knee prevented her from making it to her feet by the count of 10, giving Charlotte Flair the close victory and title retention.
*Seth Rollins w/Buddy Murphy d. Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio by Pinfall to Retain the WWE Championship
Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio had continued their war of words over the course of several weeks, made worse when both were drafted Monday Night Raw with the restarted brand split. Mysterio challenged the "Monday Night Messiah" for the WWE Championship, and nearly scored a quick victory with a 619 and Splash out of nowhere. Rollins however survived the initial onslaught and slowed the match down, only for Rey to rally later on. A fight broke out between Buddy Murphy and Dominik Mysterio on the outside, distracting Rey at a crucial moment, allowing Rollins to hit a huge lariat followed by a Curb Stomp to pick up the win and retain the title.
*Roman Reigns d. Jey Uso w/Jimmy Uso in an I Quit Hell in a Cell Match to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship
After failing to cause Jey Uso to "Acknowledge Him" as the Tribal Chief of the Anao'i Family, Roman Reigns challenged Uso to an I Quit Match inside the Hell in a Cell structure, trying to ensure that he would acknowledge him or lose the title trying. Much like their previous contest, Uso refused to give up, to the point where Jey's brother Jimmy (who had acknowledged Roman) used a pair of bolt cutters to break into the Cell and plead with Jey to give in. When Jey refused, Roman then turned on Jimmy, locking him in the Guillotine Choke and refusing to let go until Jey did acknowledge Roman, saying I Quit and proclaiming Roman the champion and Tribal Chief. As the Usos tried to regain their composure in the ring, Roman made his way up the ramp with his "Wiseman" Paul Heyman, accepting the Ula Fala necklace that symbolized his power from his father, Wild Samoan Sika, who was flanked by the other patriarch of the Samoan Dynasty Afa, as the show closed.
