RAW INTRO (83%)After the WWE signature at the top of the hour, a recap video of what happened last night at Armageddon is shown. The main focus was on the Triple Threat WWE Championship Match won by John Cena. After “To Be Loved” graced the screen, and pyro went off, JR and King welcomed everyone in. The screen then showed that tonight we will hear from WWE Champ, John Cena, and 'HBK' Shawn Michaels will take on his former student, Lance Cade, in 1-on-1 action.
ORTON STOPS THE SHOW (91%)As JR and King are talking about what will happen tonight, “Burn In My Light” hits and an angry Randy Orton storms his way down the ramp and into the ring. Orton says that last night should have never happened and what he means by that is he should be standing here as the WWE Champion because it should not have been a Triple Threat Match. In fact, Orton goes on to say that he had the match won until Triple H pulled out the referee. Orton says something needs to be done about this and right on cue, RAW GM, Jonathan Coachman makes his way out. Coach gets in the ring and tells Orton that he needs to cool it. Orton starts arguing with him and honestly kind of has a point as everyone else on the Survivor Series winning team got a 1-on-1 title match. Coach understands his frustration but says that he will have a shot to earn a title opportunity in a couple of weeks on the huge New Year's Eve edition of Monday Night RAW. Orton is not satisfied and demands he get the 1-on-1 title match he deserves but Coach steps up and tells him he doesn't appreciate his tone. The crowd kind of gasps that Coach is standing up to Orton. Orton slowly starts to leave the ring...
AND THEN HE NAILS COACH WITH AN 'RKO'!!! Orton starts yelling at a downed Coach and backstage staff and road agents come from the back and walk Orton up the ramp. Medical personnel then come to Coach's aid and JR says even though he may not agree with everything Coach stands for, he didn't deserve this and Orton should be ashamed of himself. King wonders how harshly Orton will be punished as RAW goes to break.
REPLAY OF ORTON'S RKO ON COACH (89%)Back from the commercial break, a 'Moments Ago' graphic is shown with the replay of Orton's RKO to the RAW General Manager. The graphic then changes to 'During The Break' and Coach is shown being stretchered out of the arena, with a neck brace on. Also shown is security kicking Orton out of the building for the night.
MATCH 1: DREW MCINTYRE & WILLIAM REGAL VS. PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK (75%, 2.5*)The new Intercontinental Champion, Drew McIntyre, and his mentor, William Regal kicked off the night in tag team action against London & Kendrick. Regal, and especially McIntyre, controlled the majority of the match but London & Kendrick had a flurry of aerial offense towards the latter half of the contest. However, London & Kendrick would fall at the end of the match when Regal distracted Referee Chad Patton to the point where he missed seeing the tag between the two. Kendrick was held back and as London & Kendrick pleaded their case, McIntyre shoved London into Kendrick, and the two bumped heads. London then got to his feet and took that nasty running single-leg dropkick that has now been dubbed 'The Claymore.' The duo celebrated as McIntyre held his Intercontinental Championship high.
WINNERS: REGAL & MCINTYRE VIA PINFALL IN 8:26THANKS PARTNER (84%)'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels is taping up his wrists, getting ready for his match with Lance Cade later tonight when Trevor Murdoch comes into the picture. Murdoch tells Shawn that he appreciates him helping out last night because let's face it, Trevor really hasn't made too many friends while being in the WWE. HBK tells him that he has a friend in him now and tells him he's gotta teach Lance another lesson tonight. (Cade requested the match) Murdoch then asks if he wants him in his corner, knowing very well that 'Wildcat' Chris Harris will be out there but Michaels says he's good. As that sentence is finished, Cody Rhodes walks into the locker room. Cody's locker is a couple away from Shawn but he doesn't say anything. HBK sees how down Cody looks and says something to start the conversation and Cody says he doesn't want to talk about last night. HBK signals to Murdoch and goes over to Cody and puts his arm around him. He tells him that there is a lot to learn kid. HBK chuckles a bit and it breaks the tension, causing Cody to smirk. HBK is happy to see a smile as the camera heads back to the ring.
MATCH 2: BETH PHOENIX VS. LOCAL TALENT (48%, 0.5*)The new Women's Champion, Beth Phoenix was in action next, taking on a local talent. As Beth made her entrance, replays from last night of her dominating win over former champion, Candice Michelle, were shown and JR and King put 'The Glamazon' over big time. The match was a formality as Beth dominated her opponent. After a minute or so of “playing with her food,” Phoenix finished her opponent off with the 'Glam Slam' to win the match.
WINNER: BETH PHOENIX VIA PINFALL IN 2:04A NEW CHALLENGER? (71%)After winning the match, Beth Phoenix asked for a mic and stated that she is the most dominant woman to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Her opponent finally started getting up when Beth threw the mic down and attacked her. Beth was going to hit another 'Glam Slam' until Mickie James ran down to the ring. Beth and Mickie traded rights but Mickie got the best of Beth by dropkicking her through the ropes. Beth landed on her feet but was pissed and smacked the apron with her hand. Mickie challenged her to come back in the ring but Beth waved it off and was handed her title by Referee Jack Doan as she walked back up the ramp.
TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS (85%)Back from a commercial break, a graphic shows that Tribute To The Troops is next week from Camp Victory in Baghdad, Iraq.
STILL THE CHAMP! (90%)To start off the second hour of RAW, “My Time Is Now” hit and the WWE Champion, John Cena made his entrance. Cena showed the wounds of battle when he threw his hat into the crowd as a bandage was on his forehead after he was busted open last night. Cena hyped the crowd and mentioned that last night's Triple Threat was one of his toughest tests yet. Before he could do any more talking, “The Game” hit and Triple H made his way down to the ring. HHH said he wanted to be the first to congratulate Cena and offered him a handshake. Triple H puts over Cena as being one helluva champion and says he'd like to run it back, 1-on-1. Cena looks at him and tells him to name the time and place. Triple H says New Year's Eve RAW in a couple of weeks and Cena accepts the challenge. Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE Champion will ring in the New Year!
MATCH 3: MR. KENNEDY VS. SANTINO MARELLA W/MARIA (72%, 1.5*)Mr. Kennedy was back in action next for the first time since losing his WWE Title Match a couple of weeks back. He took on Santino Marella, who was very up to the challenge on this night. Santino got in some offense but Mr. Kennedy took full control of the match after he sent Santino shoulder-first into the ring post. Kennedy would soon after hit a 'Mic Check' to put Santino down and get the victory.
WINNER: MR. KENNEDY VIA PINFALL IN 8:48THE BOSS IS BACK IN TOWN! (90%)Before the Main Event a graphic is shown on screen and JR and King react to the surprise announcement that the Chairman of the Board, Vincent Kennedy McMahon will be live on RAW in two weeks. What does Mr. McMahon have to address???
***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 4: SHAWN MICHAELS VS. LANCE CADE W/CHRIS HARRIS (83%, 3.5*)The Main Event was next as HBK took on his former student, 'Longhorn' Lance Cade. JR mentioned again that Cade requested this match after he felt Michaels surprised him last night, and because he wasn't prepared to face him, that is why The Renegades lost to him and Murdoch. 'Wildcat' Chris Harris was at ringside for his partner and of course, was a factor in helping Cade get the upper hand during points of the match. Cade was pretty impressive though and controlled a good portion of the match, highlighted by a Fall Away Slam that sent HBK halfway across the ring. HBK then fired up and made a comeback, ending in an inverted Atomic Drop and then a knife-edge chop that knocked Cade to the mat. Shawn went to the top rope for an elbow drop and Chris Harris tried to get involved. HBK kicked him off but the delay allowed Cade to move and Michaels whiffed on the move. Cade would then hit a lariat when both men got up and Harris pounded the mat to encourage his partner to finish HBK off. Cade powered HBK up and attempted to hit a move but Michaels slid out. HBK then ducked a charging Cade before going off the ropes and catching Cade with a flying forearm. HBK then followed it with a kip-up and it was time to tune the band. Harris, realizing this could be the end, tried to get involved again but this time Trevor Murdoch came running down to ringside. The two started brawling through the crowd and went out of sight. Michaels would then hit 'Sweet Chin Music' to get the victory.
WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS VIA PINFALL IN 11:46OUTTA NOWHERE! (92%)HBK is celebrating his victory and after coming down from the top rope is hit with an
'RKO' OUT OF NOWHERE! IT'S RANDY ORTON. JR yells “
WHAT'S HE DOING HERE?!” as he was kicked out at the start of the show. Before anyone could come to Shawn's assistance, Orton went back to the corner and punted HBK in the head. JR went crazy on commentary and then backstage staff ran down to the ring. Orton jumped over the barricade and left through the crowd as medical personnel checked on the condition of Shawn Michaels to end the show.

Foley says it regards the future of ECW and he knows Mr. McMahon is going to address it when he speaks on the New Year's Eve edition of RAW. MATCH 1: JOHNNY NITRO VS. THE MIZ W/KELLY KELLY (59%, 1*)The first match of the night featured Johnny Nitro taking on The Miz. Joey Styles and Tazz announce that The Miz will be taking on Mike Knox in a Last Man Standing Match on the New Year's Day edition of ECW as a graphic is shown. Kelly Kelly was at ringside with Miz and that would be his downfall. Miz regained control of the match and was looking to put Nitro away when Mike Knox came down to ringside and got near Kelly Kelly. Knox didn't harm anyone but his presence was enough to cause Miz to lose his focus and turn right into a 'Moonlight Drive' by Nitro to lose the match.

***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 2: TOMMY DREAMER © VS. ??? – HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP (83%, 3*)Tommy Dreamer makes his way out for another Hardcore Championship Open Challenge. Dreamer grabs the mic beforehand and echoes Mick Foley's statement from the start of the show and gets the crowd to start another E! C! W! chant. This happens for about 30 seconds until the music of...
CHAVO GUERRERO hits. Chavo had to leave Smackdown! and now he has answered Tommy Dreamer's open challenge. The two men spent about 10 minutes roughing each other up. Highlights included Dreamer using 2 trash can lids and alternating smacking Chavo's head with them and breaking a crutch that was under the ring over Chavo's back. The ending came when Dreamer, who wedged a chair in the corner, between the middle and top ropes, tried to whip Chavo into it. Chavo reversed and sent Dreamer head-first into the chair. Dreamer's head ended up unfolding the chair and he fell back to the mat with the chair around his head and neck. Chavo removed the chair and then went to the top rope to hit a Frog Splash to become the new Hardcore Champion.

The crowd boos Edge relentlessly as he tries to start talking but Edge lets the crowd go and smirks over the jeers. Edge starts by saying did you all really think I was done with The Undertaker? Edge says it's not over until he says it's over. Edge is then cut off by “Break The Walls Down” and the World Champ, Chris Jericho walks out on the stage. Y2J says that he and Undertaker were putting on a classic until Edge decided to ruin it. Edge retorts by saying Jericho should be happy he intervened because Jericho was about to lose his World Title to Taker. Jericho and Edge start yelling at each other when Smackdown! MATCH 1: THE AMAZING RED & SHANNON MOORE VS. SONNY SIAKI & JAMIE NOBLE (66%, 2*)The opening contest was some Cruiserweight action as the champ, Amazing Red teamed with Shannon Moore to take on Sonny Siaki and Jamie Noble. The match lasted around 8 minutes and was very even. Everyone was able to get some offense in and the match ended with Siaki and Moore in the ring. Siaki was controlling the action when Moore got a little separation and then tried to kick him in the gut. Siaki caught it but Moore turned it into a backflip mule kick. Amazing Red was now stomping away on the apron, trying to will Moore to make the tag but Jamie Noble left his post and pulled Red off the apron just before the tag. Red countered with a kick and then got on the apron and hit Noble with a jumping hurricanrana. In the ring, Siaki was able to take advantage and hit Moore with that piledriver-like maneuver out of a pumphandle he hit last week on Jimmy Wang Yang. Siaki made the cover and Red was not able to break the pin up in time.
WINNERS: SONNY SIAKI & JAMIE NOBLE VIA PINFALL IN 8:36THE ANIMAL RETURNS (95%)A graphic shows on the screen that 'The Animal' Batista will return to Smackdown! in 2 weeks. Michael Cole inquires if we will find out anything about who attacked Batista weeks ago.

As Flair is yelling at him Henry says it's time to bring 'Old Yeller' behind the barn. Flair gets in Henry's face and challenges him to a match. Henry tells Flair that he really is a crazy old man and Flair tells Henry to put that U.S. Title on the line. MATCH 2: MATT HARDY VS. NICK NEMETH W/KENNY DYKSTRA (70%, 1.5*)Matt Hardy was in singles action next against one half of The Star Squad, Nick Nemeth. Nemeth obviously had Kenny Dykstra with him at ringside and Dykstra got involved early to help his partner gain control of the match. However, Hardy turned the tide in the closing stages and after hitting his second-rope leg drop, Hardy waited for Nemeth to get to his feet. Dykstra tried to intervene again by getting on the apron but Hardy would sense Nemeth coming from behind and used his momentum to send him crashing into his partner, knocking him off the apron. Nemeth turned around to get hit with a 'Twist of Fate,' and Matt Hardy picked up the victory.
WINNER: MATT HARDY VIA PINFALL IN 7:04THE NEW DIVAS CHAMP! (84%)Returning from the break, Vickie Guerrero is in the ring and introduces the first-ever Divas Champion, Michelle McCool. ASHLEY MASSARO! Ashley has had enough of Talia and the two start fighting on the outside. Talia then runs into the ring to escape Ashley but runs right into Michelle. MATCH 3: REY MYSTERIO VS. MVP (77%, 3*)Rey Mysterio, coming off of a huge win at Armageddon, took on MVP next. The match was as even as can be as MVP used some dirty tactics to control parts of the contest. On the other hand, Mysterio used his quickness and lucha-libre prowess to keep MVP on his toes. Towards the end of the match, MVP would hit a facebreaker knee smash and follow it up with the 'Ballin' Elbow.' Mysterio ended up using the corner to get to his feet and MVP looked to hit the 'Player's Boot,' but Rey moved and MVP hung his leg on the top rope. This allowed Mysterio to hit a crazy inverted wheelbarrow roll-up to pin MVP but to his credit, MVP was able to kick out. After the pin attempt, MVP got right back to his feet and charged Mysterio but was caught with a drop toehold and MVP was in '619' position. Mysterio would hit the move and then a springboard splash to get the win.

***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 4: CHRIS JERICHO & THE BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION [UNDERTAKER & KANE] VS. EDGE, HAWKINS & RYDER (82%, 2*)The 6-Man Tag Team Main Event was next as Edge, Hawkins and Ryder entered. They stood in the ring as Jericho entered but then scurried out of the ring for Kane and then The Undertaker's entrances. The match was a standard 10-12 minute match where everyone mixed into the shuffle. Edge was making sure to not be in the ring at the same time as Undertaker, meanwhile, both Hawkins & Ryder proved to be pretty competent, getting in some offense of Y2J and Kane. With Kane and Ryder in the ring, Kane hit a big boot and then had a hot tag to his brother. Taker got in the ring but didn't go after Ryder, who was crawling to his corner. Taker looked at Edge begging for him to extend his hand out but Edge looked to Hawkins and Curt reluctantly tagged himself in. Taker knocked a charging Hawkins down with a right hand before hitting him with his signature leaping flying clothesline. Taker signaled for the end and looked at Edge to dare him to stop him. Edge stayed on the apron and Ryder was still catching his bearings as Taker hit a 'Tombstone Piledriver' on Hawkins to win the match. Ryder dragged his buddy out of the ring and Taker and Y2J had a face-to-face before Taker exited the ring going backwards over the top rope to end the show.
