THE CHAMP IS HERE! (87%)
RAW kicks off with the WWE Champ, John Cena! Cena makes his way down to the ring and hypes the crowd up by welcoming them to Monday Night RAW! Cena says that last week was grueling and that William Regal and Drew McIntyre put up a helluva fight but even the best laid plans often go awry because THE CHAMP IS STILL HERE! Cena says he's ready for whoever is the next one that wants to step to him. He starts calling out the remaining three men but soon after the music of King Booker hits and he and Queen Sharmell come out on the stage. King Booker says that tonight is a night that feels right for a coronation. Queen Sharmell then grabs the mic and says at the end of the night we will have a new King in the WWE and his name is...KING JACKASS. Cena interrupts the line getting both Booker and Sharmell upset. Booker starts to head down the aisle but eases up once he gets close to the ring. Cena motions for him to get in the ring but Booker waves him off and both men talk trash at each other as Booker and Sharmell head back up the aisle. Cena vs. King Booker for the WWE Championship tonight!
COACH ANNOUNCES INJURY (81%)
Back from commercial break and there is a shot of RAW General Manager, Jonathan Coachman in his office. Coach informs us that Intercontinental Champion, 'The Samoan Bulldozer' Umaga was injured in a live event over the weekend and requires a minor procedure that will keep him out for a couple of months or so. With this news, Coach says that the IC Title has now been vacated and that there will be an 8-Man Tournament to crown the new champion. Coach says he will announce the participants later tonight.
MATCH 1: CANDICE MICHELLE © VS. MELINA – WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP (53%, 0.5*)
The Women's Championship was on the line in the opening contest as Melina challenged Candice Michelle. This was a solid 10-minute bout as both ladies showcased their athleticism. Melina tried to end the match with her flexibility by trying to hit a split-legged drop on Candice's head but she moved and Melina landed in the split position. Candice got to her feet and went off the ropes to hit a somersault cutter on Melina (think Charlotte's 'Natural Selection') to get a near-fall. Candice got Melina up and attempted to hit the 'Candy Wrapper' but Melina turned it into a backslide pin which was a close call. After getting up from the pin, Melina tried to hit a roundhouse kick but Candice ducked and countered with her own school girl pin which got the 3-count to retain her championship. Candice rolled out of the ring and was given her championship by Referee Chad Patton as Melina threw a tantrum in the ring, pounding the mat in frustration.
WINNER: CANDICE MICHELLE VIA PINFALL IN 9:48

Regal says he's chatted with Coach to give both men an entry into the Intercontinental Championship Tournament.
MATCH 2: LANCE CADE & CHRIS HARRIS VS. THE HIGHLANDERS (58%, 1.5*)
'Wildcat' Chris Harris made his in-ring debut for the WWE next as he teamed with new partner, Lance Cade, to take on The Highlanders. Chris Harris got the pinfall after hitting his 'Catatonic' on Robbie McAllister.
WINNERS: LANCE CADE & CHRIS HARRIS VIA PINFALL IN 4:13

Post-match Cade & Harris start to beatdown The Highlanders when Trevor Murdoch runs down to the ring. Before Murdoch could contact either man, Cade & Harris rolled out of the ring and got out of dodge. Murdoch then challenged the duo to get back in the ring but Cade & Harris retreated up the ramp as The Highlanders got up and stood beside Murdoch.
IC TITLE TOURNEY PARTICIPANTS (75%)
Returning from commercial, RAW GM Jonathan Coachman comes out to the ring holding the Intercontinental Championship. He specifies Umaga's injury, which is a Grade 2 quad strain and says that because he will have to miss at least over a month of time, he has no choice but to vacate the IC Title. Coach says we will crown a new champion at Armageddon and lists off the 8 men who will compete. Coach says that he picked former champions and rising stars and the 8 men are: Bobby Lashley, Jeff Hardy, Cody Rhodes, Santino Marella, Carlito, Shelton Benjamin, Drew McIntyre, and William Regal. Coach then says all 4 opening round matches will happen next week!
MATCH 3: BOBBY LASHLEY VS. PRIMO W/CARLITO (68%, 2*)
Coach also showed the bracket on the titantron and Bobby Lashley drew Carlito. Lashley made his way out to the ring while Coach was leaving and Lashley pointed at the IC Title and told Coach he was winning. Lashley would then take on Carlito's brother, Primo. The brothers had some tricks up their sleeve in the match which extended the contest but eventually Lashley put an end to it by chucking Primo into Carlito, who got on the apron. Lashley then grabbed Primo and hit a running powerslam to win the match. As Carlito got his brother out of the ring, Lashley told Carlito that that will be him next week.
WINNER: BOBBY LASHLEY VIA PINFALL IN 6:36
LISTEN TO ME, HAHA (72%)
Another shot of Coach in his office is shown when Umaga's manager, Armando Alejandro Estrada barges in. Estrada is not happy about Coach's decision and says Umaga will beat his initial diagnosis and be back soon because he is 'THE SAMOAN BULLDOZERRRR.' Coach tells Estrada to calm down and says he's doing what's best for the company and for Umaga. Coach also says that Umaga will get a title match as soon as he's back so he shouldn't rush. Estrada hesitates but accepts the ruling and then asks Coach if he needs any help around here. Coach starts to consider the offer as the cameras cut.
LIVE YOUR DREAM! (84%)
The cameras cut to Cody Rhodes, who is talking with 'HBK' Shawn Michaels again. Rhodes asks HBK for advice after hearing the news that he is in the Intercontinental Title Tournament. Michaels says he knows a thing or two about the prestigious IC Champion. He brings up his famous ladder match against Razor Ramon at WrestleMania X and talked about how the championship sent him to new heights. HBK hypes Cody up and tells him this is in his blood. HBK says that he's the son of 'The American Dream,' so it's time to start living your dream kid! Rhodes shakes HBK's hand and then they bring it in for a hug when Randy Orton enters the frame. Rhodes and HBK's demeanor shifts as Orton talks about how cute this moment was. HBK gets in Orton's face and Orton asks HBK how Hunter is doing? After a 10-second staredown, Orton walks away with a smirk on his face as HBK shakes his head.
***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 4: JOHN CENA © VS. KING BOOKER W/QUEEN SHARMELL – WWE CHAMPIONSHIP (85%, 2.5*)
Out to the ring and King Booker, along with Queen Sharmell, makes his entrance for the Main Event. Once in the ring, the show goes to break and then comes back with “My Time Is Now” hitting and the WWE Champ, John Cena, coming out to a massive roar. In the ring, Lillian Garcia does the introductions and Referee Mike Chioda lifts the top prize in the game before ringing the bell. After both men felt each other out in the first couple of minutes, King Booker would gain the early advantage in the match. Booker controlled the action before Cena started making his comeback, hitting a couple of running shoulder blocks before ducking a punch and hitting the signature spin-out powerbomb. Cena went for a '5 Knuckle Shuffle' but Queen Sharmell got on the apron, distracting Cena. As Referee Chioda was getting her off the apron, Cena turned around to get hit with a Booker jumping calf kick to the face. Booker went for the cover but Cena kicked out at 2. Booker then set up for the scissors kick but Cena moved his head out of the way. Cena then got Booker up for an 'F-U' but Sharmell got up on the apron again. This time Cena dropped Booker and went over to the apron. Almost like he had eyes in the back of his head, Cena moved when Booker tried to hit him from behind. Booker put on the brakes and put his arms up to avoid hitting his wife off the apron but Sharmell jumped off in anticipation, falling on her rear. Booker turned around to get hit by an 'F-U,' and Cena would pin Booker to retain the title.
WINNER: JOHN CENA VIA PINFALL IN 14:29

PUTTING YOU OUT OF 'MIZ'ERY (79%)
ECW begins with The Miz coming down to the ring and looking for a fight with Mike Knox. Miz returned last week and ruined Knox's Hardcore Title Match but he is still not satisfied. The Miz is still filled with anger but that anger subsides when the music of Kelly Kelly hits! She has returned but has a concerned look on her face. She enters the ring and her and Miz share an embrace. Kelly Kelly then grabs the mic and tells Miz that he has to stop this. Kelly Kelly says she better now and wants to leave everything in the past. Miz voices his opinion with her but Kelly Kelly says she doesn't know this version of Mike. Kelly Kelly then says that she doesn't necessarily likes this out-for-vengeance version of Mike. Miz is in disagreement with her and talks off the record without the mic as the music of Mike Knox hits. Miz's face turns angry again and Kelly calms him down, holds him back, and says that it's not worth it. Knox has a mic in hand and insincerely welcomes back Kelly Kelly. Knox says that he wonders what Miz has for brains because he didn't learn his lesson from their Stretcher Match at Cyber Sunday. Knox then wonders if Miz has permanent damage from the beating he gave him. Knox says he won't ruin this little reunion tonight but that if Miz wants him again, he's got no problem putting him out of his misery. Knox drops the mic and his music hits as Miz is stewing in the ring and Kelly Kelly is once again trying to calm him down.
OPEN CHALLENGE (86%)
The camera is backstage as Hardcore Champion, Tommy Dreamer is talking with ECW General Manager, Mick Foley. Foley apologizes for Dreamer's match being cut short last week but Dreamer says that it's fine and dismisses Foley's sentiment. Dreamer says as the Hardcore Champion, he wants to face any and all comers and then tells Foley he has an idea. Foley says he is intrigued and Dreamer says he would like to hold a weekly open challenge for the Hardcore Title. Foley is astonished by the idea and asks if Dreamer is 100% sure he wants to put his body through that on a weekly basis. Dreamer then rhetorically asks Mick what would he do. Dreamer says Foley should know how he is wired because he's wired the same as Foley and that is to put your body on the line every time to entertain the people. Foley accepts Dreamer's proposal and so Dreamer will defend his Hardcore Championship in an open challenge every week starting next Tuesday.

***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 2: CM PUNK © VS. BIG DADDY V W/MATT STRIKER – ECW CHAMPIONSHIP (55%, 1*)
Big Daddy V makes his entrance with Matt Striker in tow before “This Fire Burns” hits and the ECW crowd comes unglued for the champ. After introductions by Justin Roberts, Senior Referee Scott Armstrong raises the gold before calling for the bell. In the opening few minutes, Punk employed a strategy of trying to cut down the big man. This included a lot of strikes to the face and some kicks to the legs of Big Daddy V. At one point, Punk connected with a nice kick to the back of Big Daddy V's hamstring, putting him on one knee. Unfortunately, when Punk went for a DDT, Big Daddy V used his power to lift him up and toss him high in the air before he would splat face-first on the mat. Big Daddy V then controlled the majority of the bout, hitting a corner splash on Punk, and then choking him in the corner. Big Daddy V then looked to end the match with a powerslam/running splash combo, but Punk slipped out of the slam and sent Big Vis into the ropes. As Big Daddy V rested on the middle rope, Punk went off the opposite side rope and hit a running leg lariat to the back of V's head, causing the rope to choke his throat. Big Daddy V used the corner to struggle to his feet and Punk nailed him with the running knee to the face. Punk then nailed his bulldog and Punk called for the finish. Punk went to the top rope but Matt Striker tried to get involved and got on the apron. He grabbed one of Punk's legs but Punk kicked him off and he fell off the apron and landed face-first on the top of the barricade. Punk then hit a big time elbow drop on Big Daddy V and transitioned into an 'Anaconda Vise.' Punk had to really maneuver to lock it in but he was able to and after about 10 seconds, Referee Scott Armstrong looked at Big Daddy V and noticed he was out. He lifted the big man's free hand and it flopped to the ground so he called for the bell.

Speaking of the tag champs, the #1 Contender's Match kicked off the show. 2 men would be in the ring and could tag anyone, which led to some odd interactions. Each team was able to get a good amount of shine in the match but towards the end, everything broke down. Everyone started brawling on the outside and with Curt Hawkins and TJ Wilson being the legal men of the match, Cherry and Natalya also started to scrap as well. This distracted Wilson enough to allow Hawkins to roll him up from behind and grab the tights to secure the win for his team.
WINNERS: HAWKINS & RYDER VIA PINFALL IN 10:36

Flair starts naming names like MVP, JBL, etc... and proceeds to take off his suit jacket and elbow drop it. Moments later MVP's music hits and he walks out on the stage. MVP is appalled of the audacity Flair has to accuse him of the attack. MVP claims he didn't do it and the crowd and Flair don't believe it. MVP gets in the ring and says if he wanted to attack someone, he'd do it to their face. MVP drops the mic and gets in Flair's face. The two jaw-jack before MVP starts turning away to leave before hitting Flair with a cheap right hand, knocking 'The Nature Boy' down. MATCH 3: MARK HENRY VS. BALLS MAHONEY (62%, 1*)

Henry proceeded to hit 'The World's Strongest Slam' and followed it up with a running splash to get the win.

***MAIN EVENT*** MATCH 4: THE AMAZING RED © VS. CHAVO GUERRERO – CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP (71%, 2.5*)
“Chavito Ardiente” hits and Chavo Guerrero makes his entrance followed by the new Cruiserweight Champ, The Amazing Red. Tony Chimel does the intros before Referee Nick Patrick grabs the belt and calls for the match to begin. For the first couple of minutes, both men felt each other out before getting into a series of back-and-forth luchadore moves. Red would gain the upper hand in the sequence after hitting a bulldog off of a wheelbarrow bodyscissors counter. Red would then hit a running Shooting Star Press and got the first near-fall of the contest. Red tried to end it early and went to the top rope but Chavo recovered enough to roll out of the way and out of the ring to take a break. Red offered no such break and jumped over the rope to hit a running corkscrew moonsault on Chavo. After rolling Chavo back in, Red got on the apron and waited for Chavo to get to his feet. Red went to hit some sort of springboard move but Chavo scurried to the ropes and caused Red to lose his balance and fall on his head. From there Chavo controlled the match, showing a mean streak as he applied a couple of headlocks and then started to work on Red's leg. Chavo then got Red up and hit the 'Three Amigos,' much to the crowd's chagrin. Chavo got Red up and sent him off the ropes but Red ducked under coming back. Red tried to hit a move on the way back but Chavo busted out a beautiful tilt-a-whirl backbreaker to stop his momentum. Chavo then hit the shoulder shake taunt, getting a visceral reaction, and went to the top rope. Chavo went for the Frog Splash but Red moved! Both men then got to there feet at the count of 8 and traded some rights. After a brief exchange, Chavo sent Red off the ropes but this time Red hit a Satellite DDT off of a tilt-a-whirl headscissors. Chavo was planted on his head and Red was feeling it from the crowd. Red went to the top and hit the 'Infrared' to cover Chavo for the victory!
WINNER: THE AMAZING RED VIA PINFALL IN 13:39
POST-MATCH SHENANIGANS (87%)
The crowd were on their feet as Amazing Red retain his Cruiserweight Championship in a helluva Main Event. Red got his belt and went to the top rope to celebrate but when he got down, Chavo hit him from behind. Michael Cole yelled what a poor sport Chavo was and Chavo laid in some boots before going to the outside and grabbing a steel chair. Chavo drove the top of the chair into Red's ribs a couple of times and then wrapped the chair around Red's leg. This has been Chavo's calling card and just as he was about to jump off the top rope to damage Red's leg, Rey Mysterio came flying in for the save. Chavo jumped off the top onto Rey and the two began brawling, rolling on the ground and exchanging mounted punches. Moments later, the voice of Vickie Guerrero is heard on the ramp yelling at the two to stop it as security is summoned to the ring. Security pulls both men off each other and as they are seperated in each corner, Vickie says she's had enough of this. Vickie says this has been going on too long and she was hoping it was over at Survivor Series but because it isn't, she's putting an end to it. She says she's sick of watching two people she cares about trying to tear each other apart. Because of that she said the two will face off at Armageddon for the final time. The loser must leave Smackdown! Rey and Chavo stare each other down among the sea of security as the show closes.
