WHAT-IF: RANDY ORTON IS #ALLELITE Scenario: In 2019, Randy Orton (along with Cash Wheeler [Dash Wilder] and Dax Harwood [Scott Dawson] of The Revival) would be teasing on Social Media leaving WWE and going over to the at the time new competitor All Elite Wrestling. After a handful of social media teases, Orton would resign with the company, while The Revival, following issues with WWE's creative process, would depart the company in March of 2020 and join AEW by May. But in an alternate universe, Randy would instead also depart WWE in March 2020. Despite issues going on with the world following the mass spreading of the Coronavirus and lockdowns/restrictions being at play, Orton would sign with AEW officially in May 2020, following Cash and Dax in their footsteps.
While FTR would debut like how they would in real life, Randy, like the genius he is, would wait for the correct opportunity to debut.
After the supposed match doesn't happen at July's Fyter Fest between Jon Moxley and Brian Cage due to COVID related issues, it would be announced that Moxley will be defending the AEW World Championship at Fight For The Fallen in July, but instead of against Brian Cage (Taz would give Cage the long-retired FTW World Championship the next week and tells Moxley to shove it as Brian moves on, defending the title like it was a title legitimately sanctioned by the company), it would be an opponent of FTR's choice. Moxley over the past couple of weeks would form an alliance with the Young Bucks, even teaming with them in a Trios Match against The Butcher, The Blade, and Joey Janela. FTR, being at odds with the Bucks since their debut in May, would be teasing that a friend of theirs will be joining the AEW fray. Teases would be made across the month of June of who will be joining, the teases are subtle enough to make the fans think it could be anyone that's a free agent, but the fans who are paying attention to dirtsheets and contract news know it's going to be Orton. At Fight For The Fallen, Moxley would make his entrance and would none other be challenged by Randy Orton. He would come out to a new theme song ("Fixation on The Darkness" by Killswitch Engage), and a new nickname, "The Opportunist" (Orton would change up the snake theming for more of a throwback feel, harboring back to his Legend Killer persona while also modernizing it and adding elements from his 2009 - 2011 Heel persona).
Dynamite #41: Fight For The Fallen: AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) def. Randy Orton
Unfortunately, Moxley would retain the championship that night. The next week on Dynamite, Orton would get on the microphone to say that he came to AEW to show this new generation that he's not someone you should try to take down. He says that Moxley got lucky, and tells the limited audience in attendance and the people watching at home that he saw Mox as a distraction, it was a favor for FTR, guys that became his friends during the final year of their careers at "the other company" because of shared grievances on how it was being ran. His promo would be interrupted by none other than his former Legacy brethren, Cody. He tries to offer Cody a handshake and tells him that he and him need to catch up on what's been happening. Cody sees through Orton's facade and says that the only reason he joined AEW was due to his own self-ego and to knock down everyone in the company a peg, like the bully he is still deep down. Orton retaliates not with words, but with hitting Cody with a massive RKO.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, Orton would have matches to get his win-loss record looking snazzy.
Dynamite #42: Randy Orton def. Scorpio Sky Dynamite #43: Randy Orton def. Sonny Kiss Dynamite #44: Randy Orton def. Colt Cabana
After Orton's match with Cabana, Orton is then met by Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall of the Natural Nightmares. Leading to the next match, a Trios match where FTR and Orton team up for the first time.
Dynamite #45: Tag Team Appreciation Night: FTRKO (Randy Orton, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood) def. The Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall) and Matt Cardona
Cody has his own plate full dealing with Brodie Lee and The Dark Order. In backstage segments in the following weeks, Orton actually interacts and conspires with the Dark Order to make Cody's life a living hell. While Orton doesn't explicitly join The Dark Order, he is working together with them just to make Cody even more miserable. Him and Brodie see eye to eye on what to do.
While Orton doesn't have a match, he shows up at the very end of the TNT title match on Saturday Night Dynamite, giving a cue to realize their plan has worked perfectly. The Next week sees Cody at a fever pitch against Orton, saying that he's reaching his boiling point, challenging Orton to an Unsanctioned match at All Out. Orton is in the main event of the show that night.
Dynamite #47: Randy Orton def. Orange Cassidy
After this match, Orton accepts Cody's challenge. The next coming weeks sees Orton and Cody build the match in video packages and pre-tapes. On the Go-Home episode before All Out, Orton has a sit down interview with Jim Ross to further build to this match.
All Out 2020: Unsanctioned Match: Randy Orton def. Cody Orton and Cody have a brutal match filled with dangerous spots and a lot of weapons being used, but it ends with Orton being victorious over Cody.
Cody still has to deal with Brodie hanging over his shoulder, while Orton goes on a little excursion to feud with The Elite. Following an altercation with The Young Bucks, FTR along with Orton, put pen to paper for a Trios Match against The Elite.
Dynamite #49: Late Night Dynamite: The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson) def. FTRKO (Randy Orton, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood)
Orton takes a couple of weeks off and what will be hyped for the Anniversary episode of Dynamite is a singles match between Orton and Omega.
Dynamite #54: Anniversary: Randy Orton def. Kenny Omega
Orton aims his sights back on Cody as Brodie Lee is written off TV after their TNT title Dog Collar Match to heal up injuries.
Dynamite #56: Randy Orton def. Lee Johnson
With Orton making it clear that he's going to attack everyone that Cody knows and loves, Arn Anderson attempts to stop him, but gets an RKO and a Punt Kick for his troubles. Cody and Orton proceed to brawl throughout the arena following this.
For one week, under the guise of Tony Khan, Randy Orton has been Kayfabe suspended and is not allowed to be on the Daily's Place premises after the brawl he caused. He shows up that week anyways, appearing in the front row wearing a hood and a face mask, and attacking Cody after his successful TNT title defense against Marq Quen. The next week, the match is made for a rematch at Full Gear, under normal rules, but for Cody's newly won TNT Championship.
On the Go-Home show, Cody and Orton have a contract signing for the match, which ends in Orton getting RKO'ed through the contract table.
Full Gear 2020: AEW TNT Championship: Randy Orton def. Cody Rhodes (c) Orton wins the TNT title in a shocking upset.
Orton would defend the title commonly throughout his run.

Revolution 2021: 2 Out of 3 Falls Match: AEW TNT Championship: Cody Rhodes [2] def. Randy Orton (c) [1]
Despite not being champion anymore, Orton focuses back on Moxley for the time being, this leads to Orton and FTR getting involved with the alliance between Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston
