Vitesse were struggling (young team in rebuilding mode) and I wanted somewhere to loan some of Ajax talents so that they get match experience. |

So the plan is to try to cut the deadweight and then keep the talents (Theo Janssen, Nicky Hofs and Jhon van Beukering) for as long as possible and rebuild with cheap talent from Africa and Balkan. And to try to loan available quality players. Hopefully the club can do better in the UEFA Cup than Utrecht and Twente did. Holland need a 4th club challening the big three, since AZ Alkmaar isn't doing there job. |

Pretty great to see you advancing to the CL Semis. United was a tricky opponent, but I firmly think you'll be more comfortable with Lazio (although they have a great team). I predict Ajax vs. Barcelona in the finals... WHICH IS CHEATING!!!

Moore Feyenoord is so weird. First they get rid of Thomas Buffel (which is one of the most talented Belgian offensive players), next they let the talented winger Leonardo go. Leonardo have already played several seasons in the club and foreign players can get dual citizenships after 3 seasons. Then they sign Colombian striker Hamilton Ricard which is basically a core / backup player and not really talented enough for a team of Feyenoord's calibre. I hope that they don't let go of their remaining prospects Labinot Harbuzi and Bonaventure Kalou.
Haruna Babangida just got dual citizenship (Nigerian / Spanish) and playing several seasons in Barcelona B. Babangida was just backup in Barcelona, but could become a useful player in Ajax.
Another talented Holland U21 player to the rebuilding Vitesse.
Litmanen is a quality player, but isn't on the same level as Rafael van der Vaart and Richard Knopper. So it's better for both parties to let Litmanen get play time somewhere else.
Chivu have been the defensive general, but have also been really injury-prone. So I decided to cash in and let him go to big spending Atalanta that is preparing for the European cups. With U21 star John Heitinga; veteran Winston Bogarde; veteran Taribo West; centre-back Seyi Ogunsanya; and former U21 star defender Joris Mathijsen, Ajax have a highly talented defence even without Chivu.
After chasing Dutch strikers Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (PSV Eindhoven) and Dirk Kuijt (Utrecht); relegated Roda's Jordy Reneerkens was the third option. These are the three snipers that will compete for Patrick Kluivert's spot in a few years.
Thomas Job is a interesting prospect with dual citizenships (Cameroon / France) and will most likely turn into a high level player.
Nourdin Boukhari is a solid core / backup player, but not good enough to play Internationally.
Joaquin had the highest minimum release clause in the save and have been a star player for Spain. Will most likely result in a deadly wingback pairing with Roberto Carlos (competes with Hernan Santiago Solari and Raul Bravo). Joaquin will have to compete with Michel Salgado and Geremi for a spot.
