NEW ECW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS CROWNED
ECW opens up with the ECW Tag Team Champions the Brian Kendrick and Rycklon Stephens coming out to the ring. the Brian Kendrick talks about how they have held the ECW Tag Team Championships for over 10 months and how they are the greatest tag team champions of all time. TBK talks about the ECW Tag Team division and how theres no more tag teams in the company left that they havent beat. TBK says they might have to go to RAW and take on their champions. All of a sudden Natalya comes out and talks about growing up with one of the greatest tag teams in her father Jim Neidhart and her uncle Bret the Hitman Hart. Natalya says that her family runs deep and that shes been around the future of the business with this tag team and introduces Harry Smith (the son of the British Bulldog) and TJ Wilson (her fiancé and family friend of the Hart family). TBK says that this isnt the 1990s anymore and the Hart Foundation is no more. TJ gets on the microphone and challenges them to a match tonight for the ECW Tag Team Championships. TBK agrees and the match begins. After back and forth Harry Smith and TJ Wilson take out Rycklon Stephens and then hit the Brian Kendrick with the Hart Attack with TJ pinning the Brian Kendrick to win the ECW Tag Team Championship. After the match the Brian Kendrick was blaming Rycklon Stephens for the loss when Rycklon hits the Brian Kendrick with the Black Ice (Death Valley Driver)

VICKIE GUERRERO ISSUES A CHALLENGE TO THE DEADMAN
SmackDown! Co-General Manager Vickie Guerrero comes out on SmackDown! screaming "EXCUSE ME!" and says she has something very important regarding WrestleMania 25. Vickie Guerrero goes over the legacy of WrestleMania and how theres one thing that has never happened and that's the Undertaker losing on the biggest event of the year. Vickie says that the Undertaker cheated last year against her love Edge but this year she is personally going to be the one to find the superstar to take out the Undertaker and that superstar will go down in history. Vickie Guerrero says that the Undertaker is on HER show and said if anybody is going to face the Undertaker its going to be this man and calls out...VLADIMIR KOZLOV. Kozlov comes marching down and gets in the ring with Vickie Guerrero. Before Kozlov can say anything Vickie says this is Kozlov's chance to make history and to go back to Russia a hero in their eyes. Kozlov gets on the microphone and cuts a promo on the Undertaker in Russian and says "на рестлемании, гробовщик, будет пухом" (at WrestleMania, the Undertaer, will rest in peace)

81st Academy Awards - Kodak Theater - Hollywood, California - February 22, 2009
MICKEY ROURKE WINS BEST ACTOR FOR "THE WRESTLER"
During the 81st Academy Awards honors, Mickey Rourke defeated Brad Pitt, Frank Langella, Richard Jenkins and Sean Penn to win the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Randy "the Ram" Robinson. Mickey Rourke during his speech said he wants to thank Vince McMahon for helping him with this role after being out of the business for quite a few years. Rourke said McMahon was one of the few people to have the balls to have faith in him and that professional wrestling is one of the hardest things he ever had to go through.

JOHN CENA RETURNS TO SMACKDOWN; HARDY TURNS ON HARDY
SmackDown! opens with the World Heavyweight Champion John Cena returning to SmackDown! for the first time in to years. Cena says that tonight he's got two huge announcements to make. The first one John Cena says that tonight he's going to find out who his WrestleMania opponent will be and also that since Randy Orton has chosen Triple H and the WWE Championship, Triple H will now be on RAW for the meanwhile and John Cena will be staying on SmackDown!. Cena says that the last few weeks he's watched multiple superstars on SmackDown! and has a long list of contenders for his World Heavyweight Championship. All of a sudden Vickie Guerrero's "EXCUSE ME!!" comes over the speakers and out comes the Co-General Manager of SmackDown!. Vickie says that theres only one contender and that's her love Edge! Edge comes down and gives Vickie a huge hug while Vickie made Edge vs John Cena official at WrestleMania 25. John Cena reminds Vickie that he beat Edge at WrestleMania four years ago. Vickie says that theres no other person better than Edge to face John Cena at WrestleMania. Out comes the Big Show who reminded Cena that when they fought at WrestleMania 20, John Cena had to cheat to win and now that the stakes are at the biggest (no pun intended) the Big Show wants another shot at Cena. Then out comes the other Co-General Manager of SmackDown! Theodore Long. Theodore Long says since he's co-General Manager and SmackDown! is 50% his, Theodore Long added the Big Show to the WrestleMania match and made it John Cena vs the Big Show vs Edge. Theodore Long announced that the main event will be the Big Show vs Edge with John Cena as the special guest referee. During the main event Edge accidently speared Vickie Guerrero. the Big Show picked up Guerrero and brought her to the back.  Vickie added Edge to the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 25, but Theodore Long added the Big Show making it a triple threat match.
Later in the night the Hardy Boyz teamed together to face the WWE Tag Team Champions, Carlito and Primo for the tag team championships. Matt has been giving Jeff Hardy the cold shoulder for the past few weeks after losing the ECW and WWE Championships at Royal Rumble. Matt Hardy has had this new attitude and Jeff was worried that Matt was not his oldself. The WWE Tag Team Championship match began and the two Hardyz were on the same page but at the end of the match Jeff accidently hit Matt Hardy after a failed Twist of Fate and Carlito hit the Backstabber on Jeff and pinned Jeff to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships for him and Primo. After the match Matt kept blaming Jeff before shockingly hitting Jeff Hardy with a Side Effect. Matt then got on the microphone and said he was the one behind all the bad things that happened to Jeff in the last few weeks (his house burning dog and his dog dying) and challenged Jeff to a match at WrestleMania before hitting Jeff with a Twist of Fate.
 Matt shockingly turned on his brother Jeff before revealing he was the one who burnt down Jeff Hardy's house. Matt challenged Jeff to a match at WrestleMania 25. |

THE NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR CONFRONTS CHRIS JERICHO
RAW opens up with the Nature Boy, the Hall of Famer Ric Flair coming down to the ring. Flair talks about how this time last year he was looking at the end of his career and it's been nearly a year of him sitting at home "enjoying" retirement. Ric Flair talks about how when he was back home he watched the Wrestler with Mickey Rourke and just like Piper he saw himself in Rourke. Flair talks about how much respect he has for Rourke and how he's watched Chris Jericho make a fool of the legends (attacking Jimmy Snuka and Ricky Steamboat) and demands Jericho to get in the ring. Chris Jericho comes out and says Flair is going to end up like Rourke did in at the end of he movie if he messes with Jericho. Jericho says that at WrestleMania he's going to show Rourke what a real professional wrestler is and how Rourke is a has-been in and out of the ring. Flair says that he will personally be in the corner of Rourke and even though he's retired he's still go one more whooping in him and he would love to beat some respect into Jericho. Jericho attempts to hit Flair but Flair blocks it and hits Jericho in the mouth. Jericho rolls out of the ring and back up the ramp while Flair WOOOOOOs himself and celebrates.

JEFF HARDY CONFRONTS MATT HARDY
Matt Hardy comes out on SmackDown! and takes a seat in the middle of the ring. Matt talks about why he turned on his brother Jeff. Matt says that Jeff Hardy is the black sheep of the family and he's sick and tired of him being an embarrassment. Matt says that Jeff Hardy has to prove himself and fight him at WrestleMania. Matt says that e has some things to get off his chest but Jeff wont listen to him so he had to do what he had to to do to get it through his head. Matt says that Jeff Hardy is his own worst enemy and Matt did everything right while Jeff constantly kept getting chance after chance and Jeff became the WWE Champion, not Matt. Matt said he had to step away from Jeff because Matt knew he was going to do something he would regret and when the time came, he never felt better. Matt says he should have done this years ago. Matt says that he was behind all the "accidents' that happened in Jeff's life and Matt says Jeff was the accident of the family. Matt says he stood behind Jeff after his numerous suspensions and Jeff never thanked Matt once. Matt said that he didnt mean for Jeff's dog to get burnt in the fire but took out his dog's leash and held it in the air. This made Jeff come out to the ring and confront his brother. Jeff said he couldnt believe what he was hearing. Jeff said if Matt wanted to be WWE Champion than they couldve battled each other like they have always dreamed and let the best brother win. Jeff says no matter how much you hate me I would never hate you. Jeff says Matt just hates Matt more and he's taken it out on Jeff. Jeff says Matt has done enough damage to the family and at WrestleMania Jeff is going to have to attempt to repair Matt's mistakes and accepted Matt's challenge to a match at WrestleMania. Jeff says that Matt Hardy will have to go to the Xtreme to defeat Jeff but Jeff reminds Matt that Jeff is always Xtreme and Jeff attacks Matt while Matt rolls out of the ring. Jeff tells Matt that "He loves him but he's going to have to kick his a$$ at WrestleMania"

UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AT WRESTLEMANIA
John Morrison and the Miz hosted an edition of the Dirt Sheet with special guests the WWE Tag Team Champions, Carlito and Primo Colon. the Miz welcomed Carlito and Primo all while John Morrison were making fun of the Colons. Carlito didnt think it was cool that they were guests of this show and that it shouldve been Carlito's Cabana. The four men argued on which show was better before Carlito and Primo started dressing up the Dirt Sheet with Carlito's Cabana's props. Carlito says this looks much better but theres one thing Miz and Morrison have that will look better on the Colons and that's the World Tag Team Championships. Carlito and Primo challenged Miz and Morrison to a unification match and put both the WWE and World Tag Team Championships on the line. the Miz accepted the challenge and said that the more hardware the bigger a star Miz and Morrison will become. Carlito said that's cool before spitting an apple in the face of the Miz while Primo threw Morrison over the top rope. All of a sudden the Hart Dynasty (Harry Smith and TJ Wilson) came out and said that they were on ECW and that they were the ECW Tag Team Champions and if anybody should be facing off for the championships it should be the Hart Dynasty. the Hart Dynasty challenged John Morrison and the Miz tonight for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Carlito and Primo said they wanted to be added into the main event and TJ Wilson said "That's Cool, eh". Later in the night the ECW Tag Team Champions won the big match when Harry Smith pinned the Miz to retain the ECW Tag Team Championship.

COLT CABANA BECOMES UNITED STATES CHAMPION! A very special 500th episode of SmackDown! took place a few weeks before WrestleMania 25. Shelton Benjamin, the United States Champion came out and got on the microphone talking bout how he's held this championship nearly nine months and that tonight is the 500th episode of SmackDown! and he will still be champion when SmackDown! hits 1000 episodes. Out comes Colt Boom Boom Cabana and talks about how he's been bored of watching Shelton for the last nine months. Cabana asks the crowd whats worse? Giving birth for nine months or watching Shelton as champion!?. Shelton says if Cabana wants to do something about it than he can right here, right now. Cabana accepts the offer and the match is official. The match goes back and forth but Shelton tried to go for the Pay Dirt but Cabana threw him on the ropes. Cabana hits Shelton with a Discus Clothesline and pins Shelton to win the WWE United States Championship and ends the nearly nine month reign.  and new United States Champion! Colt BOOM BOOM Cabana!! |

Jay Leno (who did wrestle once on WCW) talked about his professional wrestling match and the two compared ring stories. John Cena also showed clips for his upcoming film "12 Rounds" John Cena joined Jay Leno on the Tonight Show to talk about the upcoming WrestleMania pay per view. |

TRIPLE H ATTACKS RANDY ORTON AT HIS HOME
During the last RAW episode before WrestleMania, Randy Orton was shown at home on satellite being interviewed by Michael Cole. Orton with his wife were seen sitting in their living room talking about the main event of Wrestlemania and Orton's recent attacks on the McMahon family. Orton reminded Cole that he cant handle what happens to the McMahons since Orton has whats known as "Apex instability". Orton says that it all started when he was kicked out of Evolution, a night that changed his life for what might have been the worst but in some cases the best thing that ever happened to him". We see Legacy come down to the ring and call out Triple H, Triple H's music hits but he does not show up and Legacy is wondering why. Back to Randy Orton who gets a knock on the door before his wife goes to answer it. Orton speaking to Michael Cole slowly realizes who's at the door and all of a sudden Triple H breaks into Orton's house with a sledgehammer while Orton's wife is screaming in the background. Triple H makes his way into the house and attacks Orton in his own living room before brawling with Orton in different parts of his house. Orton manages to sneak away while Triple H is hunting through all the closets and corners of the house. Orton comes out of the cupboard underneath the stairs and brawls with Triple H. but Triple H gets the upper hand and THROWS RANDY ORTON OUT OF HIS LIVING ROOM WINDOW. The police show up and haul Triple H away while Orton is being attended to on his front lawn.

JOHN CENA SHOWS SECURITY FOOTAGE OF THE BIG SHOW AND VICKIE GUERRERO
John Cena opens up SmackDown! and talks about how life can be different in just 48 hours. Cena says that at WrestleMania 25 he's going to face off in a triple threat match against the Big Show and Edge. Cena says he mightve beat both in singles matches at WrestleMania but the two of them who will team up on him will be a very difficult night. John Cena says he's going to do what he always does and that's overcome the odds and walk out of WrestleMania still World Heavyweight Champion. Edge comes out to the ring and says that at WrestleMania he doesnt need the Big Show's help and he's going to make sure he pins John Cena in the middle of the ring because he's focused on two things, winning the World Heavyweight Championship and proving his love to Vickie Guerrero. John Cena says he shouldnt get his hopes on on either of those two things because Cena's going to break Edge's spirit and his heart. the Big Show comes out and joins Edge on the ramp and says that Edge and him know they have to take the championship off of Cena and have a gentlemen's bet that as long as Cena doesnt walk out of WrestleMania as champion, it'll be a wonderful day for both of them and Vickie. John Cena says that the Big Show and Vickie Guerrero have gotten pretty close the last few weeks ever since he's been added into the match at WrestleMania. the Big Show says what's between him and Vickie is strictly business. Cena says he thinks otherwise and has proof that the Big Show and Vickie have gotten VERY close and shows a backstage behind the scenes footage of the Big Show kissing Vickie Guerrero!. Edge sees this footage and starts freaking out before the Big Show hangs his head in shame. John Cena says that it seems like WrestleMania wont be the only triangle that the Big Show and Edge will have to go through. Edge storms on in the back before Cena celebrates and holds the World Heavyweight Championship in the air.
 It seems like its a little more personal between the Big Show and Vickie Guerrero before the WrestleMania 25 World Heavyweight Championship match with Edge and John Cena. |
