Match 1:
Latino Inferno (Chavo Guerrero Jr & Disco Inferno) vs Shawn Stasiak & Mark Jindrak
We see Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak come to the ring first looking cocky and confident. Stasiak has a small cut on his face which the announcers speculate may have come from his back-stage fight with 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes last week
Chavo Guerrero Jr & Disco Inferno come out look jovial and dancing on their way to the ring. They've had some problems with Vampiro and Hugh Morrus in recent times but it seems tonight they're just looking to get a win and boost their standings in the Tag Team division.

The end of the match comes when Shawn Stasiak looks to be on top and like he's going to get a win for his team, when suddenly 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes storms the ring and attacks Shawn Stasiak. The referee calls for the bell.

After the match Latino Inferno look a bit miffed at the situation, but eventually step in to try and separate Stasiak and Dustin Rhodes. We eventually see some security, road agents and Dusty Rhodes come piling out the back, with Dusty dragging his son away from the situation.

Saraya says she did what she did for the money and she has no regrets!
Malia says her and Meiko will make her regret it!
Saraya puts her fists up ready to fight
Malia says they'll settle this in the ring on Friday Night Panic! Malia and Meiko vs Sweet Saraya and if she can't find any woman in this locker-room to team with her, then they'll just have to beat her in a handicap match!

Steve Corino comes out with the WCW FXtreme Television Championship and Don Callis by his side
Don Callis on the mic says "Excuse me, D.C, my client has something important to say!"
But before Steve Corino can say anything on the mic he's interrupted by Ric Flair
Ric Flair says "Corino! I'm glad you're out here! You've got 1 more defence of that title of yours before Starrcade... and I'm sure you wanna know who you're gonna face this Friday Night on Panic, right?!"
Corino gets in the ring.
Corino says "Yeah, but Ric what I gotta say-
Ric Flair shouts back "I don't care what you gotta say! I got 2 big surprises for you Corino. The first surprise is that your defence of that title is not going to be on Friday Night Panic... it's going to be right here on Nitro... right now!
The fans pop at this as Corino and Callis start going ballistic.
Flair laughs and then says "The second one... is that your opponent tonight is a true legend of this sport... a WCW Hall of Famer... one of my all time great opponents and I'm sure a lot of fans would be more than happy to see me face off against him instead of you at Starrcade... Steve... your opponent tonight is none other than 'The American Dream' DUSTY RHODES!!!
WCW Dusty Rhodes Theme - "American Dream"
Dusty Rhodes comes out to a huge pop from the local fans as Steve Corino looks furious at this development.
Flair leaves the ring as an unprepared Corino has to get in the game mentally for this title defence.

Match 3:
Steve Corino (c) (with Don Callis) vs 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes for the WCW FXtreme Television Championship
The crowd are behind Dusty Rhodes and he comes out of the blocks all guns blazing in this match. He throws in a lot of heavy hits which Corino struggles to deal with. Corino clearly wasn't prepared physically or mentally for this match and Dusty Rhodes uses this to his advantage.
The fans are behind Dusty. Can he pull off a win here and secure one last Rhodes vs Flair match at Starrcade?!
The match goes just over 5 minutes.
The finish comes when Dusty Rhodes looks set to his a Bionic Elbow on Corino, but Don Callis gets up on the apron, Dusty rushes over and punches Callis off the apron but this distraction is enough for Corino to manage to get up and hit an Old School Expulsion on Dusty Rhodes before picking up a big win for himself.
Steve Corino retains via pinfall - (5.43) - (52 rated)
The segment ends with Ric Flair getting back in the ring to check up on Rhodes as Steve Corino and Ric Flair, now confirmed opponents for Starrcade, stare down each other.

Booker T with Fit's Fight Club
We see Fit Finlay, Tajiri and Dave Taylor training in a warm-up room in the back.
Booker T walks in
All 3 men immediately stop.
Fit Finlay says "Look Book, you fought Dave last week and you won... as far as I'm concerned this whole business with Sweet Saraya is done!"
Booker T says "Calm down Fit. If I was here for a beat down I wouldn't have walked in so calmly, man. No... Dave you fought well last week. But I'm here for you tonight Fit, I need your help!"
Finlay looks confused and says "What could you possibly need me for, Book?"
Booker T says "At Starrcade, Scott Hall is going to bring his A game... he's going to try every dirty trick in the book to try and keep that WCW World Heavyweight Championship... that's why I need you Fit. This Friday Night Panic... I want to take you on Fit... but I want the Fit Finlay that's fought in pubs and bars across Europe and the States... I want you to use every dirty trick you've got to try and beat me, Fit. I want you at your worst so I can be prepared at my best for Starrcade!"
Fit Finlay then says "And what if I refuse Book? What if I've not got any interest in being you sparing partner or warm-up buddy... what if I've got no motivation to do this for you?"
Booker T considers this.
Then he suddenly slaps Fit Finlay right across the face. Tajiri and Dave Taylor look ready to fight him, but Finlay holds them back.
Booker T says "There's your motivation, Fit!" and walks off.
Fit Finlay sort of smiles and says to Dave and Tajiri "If it's a fight he wants... it's a fight he shall get boys!"

I haven't been in great form... but I'm a dangerous man and I'm here tonight to-

The Sandman's opponent - revealed!
After the match The Sandman grabs a mic and says he's out here and he's waiting to see what idiot Shane McMahon has paid off to fight him at Starrcade
The Sandman says he's The Most Dangerous Man in WCW and he's afraid of nobody!
Shane McMahon then walks out with a mic and a smile on his face
Shane McMahon says it is indeed time to reveal The Sandman's hand-picked opponent for Starrcade to fight him in a No Holds Barred match!
The Sandman cockily smiles at Shane McMahon and tells him to reveal who it is.
Shane McMahon said he wanted to hire someone who was a real fighter. Someone who could withstand any punishment and dish out a hell of amount of punishment to The Sandman who Shane wants revenge on.
Shane says this man is a prize-fighting champion... the Ultimate prize-fighting champion in-fact...
Shane says that The Sandman may well be The Most Dangerous Man in WCW... but at Starrcade he will go 1-on-1 with The Most Dangerous Man IN THE WORLD... KEN SHAMROCK!!!
The crowd pop as Ken Shamrock appears before Shane McMahon at the top of the entrance ramp
Look at the size of this guy! exclaims Tony Schiavone

JJ Dillon questions why Scott Hall has arrived to the show so late and won't have watched any of the other matches. As the Champion should he not be doing that?
Scott Hall says whether he was in the venue or not he wouldn't waste his time watching anyone else on the roster wrestle... nobody else matters other than me, JJ, surely you know this by now.
Scott Hall then walks off.

Match 5:
Ric Flair vs Terry Funk
As we come back from commercial break the announcers hype up a big match next as 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair takes on an old rival in Terry Funk
Ric Flair comes out first to a big pop from the crowd
Terry Funk comes out next to a decent pop
The match goes just over 5 minutes with Ric Flair carrying the old Funker to a pretty decent match.
The end of the match comes when we see Jeff Jarrett walk out with his signature shades and Guitar. He clearly wants revenge on Terry Funk for Funk's involvement in costing Jarrett a spot in Shane's Money in the Bank Ladder match on Friday Night Panic
Before Jeff Jarrett gets down the entrance ramp we see Air Raid (AJ Styles and Air Paris) come out to see Jarrett off. Jeff Jarrett sees them coming though and he absolutely destroys AJ Styles with a massive Guitar shot to the head. Air Paris then gets The Stroke on the steel entrance ramp.
Terry Funk has seen what's up and he's got out of the ring to try and get involved with Jarrett and protect the young rookies. The referee begins to count out Funk.
Jeff Jarrett's lawyer then comes out to try and serve some papers to Terry Funk. Funk is arguing with Jarrett and the lawyer when the referee hits 10 and Funk is counted out.
Ric Flair wins via count-out - (5.12) - (55 rated)

Jeff Jarrett promo
Ric Flair's music hasn't been playing for longer than 10 seconds before Jeff Jarrett grabs a microphone and he says now that this match is over I've got to tell you something Terry.
Ric Flair leaves the ring and the entrance ramp but not before telling Jeff Jarrett their paths will meet again soon and it won't end well for you Jarrett!
Jeff Jarrett laughs this off and says Terry Funk broke the spirit of his match contract on Friday Night Panic! He didn't directly screw Jarrett out of the Money in the Bank Ladder match, but by getting AJ Styles to get involved on his behalf he did indirectly.
Jeff Jarrett asks for Eric Bischoff to come out and confirm the arrangement that Jeff Jarrett has come to with his lawyer, WCW's lawyers and Shane McMahon
Eric Bischoff is wheeled out by Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat the Head of Talent Relations
Eric Bischoff tells Terry Funk whilst it brings him no pleasure to tell him this the situation for Funk is quite dire
Eric Bischoff says that Shane McMahon managed to use his influence to prevent Terry Funk from being out-right fired. Eric Bischoff says this is the offer that Shane McMahon managed to negotiate and Bischoff suggests Funk takes the offer as if he does he will no longer owe Jeff Jarrett a penny as the proceeds of the match will be used to pay off Funk's debts.
At Starrcade 2001... this Sunday... it will be 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett... in a 1-on-1 match with Terry Funk... and if Terry Funk loses, then... he WILL NEVER WRESTLE AGAIN!
The fans are shocked at this as Funk takes it in.
Funk has repeatedly said that he doesn't want to ever retire from in-ring action... but Jeff Jarrett is giving him an ultimatum here...
Terry Funk gets on the mic and he says "Jarrett... your offer gives me the chance to whoop your ass back to Memphis... you think you can beat me to end my career... well you don't know the half of the guts I got... the heart I got... the love I got for this business... well I ACCEPT!!
The segment ends with Jarrett and Funk staring each other down

April Hunter with Billy Kidman, Curt Hennig, 'Dr Death' Steve Williams and Rob Van Dam
April Hunter says Kidman, Hennig and Williams, you've got a big match this Sunday... a huge chance at glory to get your hands on Shane's Money in the Bank briefcase... but first a big 4v4 match in tonight's main-event... how are you navigating teaming together tonight but every man for himself at Starrcade?
Curt Henning says look April it ain't a Perfect situation but we ain't Perfect men. I got respect for Kidman and I got respect for 'Dr Death', but like you say, this Sunday it's every man for himself. I got their back tonight but come Sunday it won't roll like that
'Dr Death' Steve Williams says tonight he looks to cause damage to Bagwell and The Extreme Alliance... the more they hurt Sunday the more chance I got of taking home that briefcase!
Kidman says Sunday is the biggest opportunity in his career and he won't let the opportunity pass him by!
April then asks Rob Van Dam about missing out on the Money in the Bank match... how he was sort of screwed again by Sabu and The Extreme Alliance
Rob Van Dam looks disappointed and says yeah look April I'd love to be here telling you how excited I am to be in that match this Sunday... or how much of an injustice it is that I'm not in it and Sabu is after what went down last week... but life sucks sometimes... I'm going into tonight ready and willing to deliver for my team... and look... I can't be in that match this Sunday, but what Sabu has to understand is just because you're down to be in that match doesn't mean you'll make it to Starrcade! Whether I can make it or not my only goal tonight is to ensure Sabu doesn't have the strength in his arms or his legs to climb out of bed let alone a ladder this Sunday!
Sabu is going to wake up and dread the day he messed with... ROB...VAN...DAM!!!

Match 6:
Hugh Morrus & lYnCh (with Vampiro) vs Shane Helms & The Gale (with Latino Inferno - Chavo Guerrero Jr & Disco Inferno)
We see Hugh Morrus come out with lYnCh! and Vampiro following him for this mixed tag-team action. Morrus and Vampiro have had a lot of problems with Helms, Latino Inferno and The Hurricane and The Gale in recent weeks.
Shane Helms comes out with The Gale, as well as Chavo Guerrero Jr & Disco Inferno
Vampiro threatened The Hurricane last week stating that if he didn't prove he wasn't Shane Helms then this week on Nitro they would "end" Shane Helms. The Hurricane has promised to be here... he's not come out with his crew but will we see him later in this match?!
The mixed tag-match goes just under 5 minutes. Morrus is very aggressive when he's involved with Helms. Helms perhaps his number, but when The Gale is fighting lYnCh we see a vicious style from lYnCh which despite her superior ring-work The Gale struggles to deal with.
The match ends with lYnCh making The Gale tap out with a Lockjaw Submission

The Hurricane helps?
After the match Morrus starts fighting Helms and Vampiro joins in. We see Disco Inferno and Chavo jump in and it's a brawl. rAgE? yEs! and mOrE-bId! then come in from under the ring and Helms and Latino Inferno are over-whelmed
Suddenly on the Tron we see The Hurricane
The Hurricane says that Morrus and Vampiro are bad men who need a hero to deal with them
The Hurricane says at Starrcade he proposes a 5 vs 5 match to settle this once and for all between them... but as for right now... stand back... there's a Hurricane coming through!
We see The Hurricane, looking significantly bigger than normal, run from the entrance ramp with a steel chair.
Morrus, Vampiro and fReEK-sHow! depart the ring and The taller Hurricane stands tall in help of his friends, making sure to give a handshake to Shane Helms.
Vampiro looks suspicious but also like he might have accepted that Helms and The Hurricane are not the same person after all.

Real Talk with Roddy LIVE in the ring with DDP & Kanyon
When we come back from commercial break we see Roddy Piper in the ring
Piper says at Starrcade we will see a huge match for the WCW United States Championship.
Kanyon will take on Diamond Dallas Page... it seems that these two have had a bit of a disagreement lately... well here on Real Talk with Roddy I'm not afraid of asking the tough questions... so let's get them out... first the challenger... give it up folks for DDP!
DDP comes out looking a bit unhappy
Roddy Piper says "Page, this past week on Friday Night Panic! you said Kanyon needs to win big matches on big stages to prove himself... what does that mean for Kanyon if you beat him on Sunday?
DDP says "With all due respect to Chris... Roddy... I'm a star in WCW... I've been here and I've done and seen it all... all stars fade away eventually... and maybe I'm in the twilight of my career... but if Kanyon beats me this Sunday it will make his career. You ask what does this mean for Kanyon if I beat him on Sunday? It will just show that Chris isn't quite there yet Roddy... but I think Chris needs that jeopardy on the line... he needs to feel the pressure to be at the top of his game!"
Piper says well let's get the Champ out here to see if he agrees with that
Kanyon comes out with the WCW United States Championship looking angry
Piper says "Chris, would you like to respond to DDP?"
Kanyon says "Page... I'm about done listening to you talk like you're some kind of guru or expert on me... it's true you have been a mentor to me for most of my time here in WCW... but you don't know me as well as you think you do. You think I need jeopardy or pressure to be at the top of my game? I think you're just playing mind games with me! The facts remain that ever since I've been at the top of my game with this WCW United States Championship... you've got jealous of me... you realised you're not at the top of your game any more and started suffering from the self-doubt... the imposter syndrome that I've had in the last few years... and you thought the best way to make yourself feel better was to put me down!"
Piper asks DDP to respond to that
DDP says "Chris! I've only ever tried to raise you up! If you want to prove to these people... Shane McMahon... to yourself... that you are at the top of your game... that you are better than someone like me... then I've given you the opportunity to prove yourself on the biggest stage of them all with the whole world watching... and quite frankly Chris... as your mentor... if you can't handle that pressure... if you can't deliver against me... then you're never going to be THE star that you want to be! At Starrcade... we aren't going into this match as friends, which is your prerogative... and if it motivates you more to hate me or feel like I've betrayed you... then I respect that... but I'm telling you now Chris... if you don't beat me... if you don't deliver... then I don't want to hear you bitching and whining and feeling sorry for yourself. This is YOUR moment... take it... or take off out of MY company!"
DDP then drops the mic and storms off. Piper looks shocked, there's a muted reception from the fans and Kanyon looks angry.

April Hunter with Dustin Rhodes
We see April Hunter with 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes
April says "Dustin, earlier tonight you attacked Shawn Stasiak in our opening match... some are saying you've gone off the rails a bit in recent weeks... what is your head space right now?"
Dustin says "Look April... Shawn Stasiak wants to put my name in his mouth then I'm going to slap it right out of it... Stasiak knows he's not on my level and he thinks he can make a name for himself by starting up our rivalry again... well look I've got nothing else left... so if that's what he wants... if he wants to make himself famous off of The Rhodes name by trying to beat me at Starrcade... well fine... but I don't want to beat Shawn Stasiak at Starrcade because April I've already done that before... at Starrcade... I want to make him BLEED... at Starrcade... Stasiak, if you want me... it will be in a FIRST BLOOD Match!"
April then asks Dustin about his father's losing effort the WCW FXtreme Television Championship earlier tonight
Dustin says "If my washed up Father wants to embarrass himself on national television that is no concern of mine." before dropping the mic and walking off

Before the bell has even rung and Scott Hall has gotten ready Stevie Ray jumps Scott Hall and starts beating him down!
Hall is taken completely off guard by this and Stevie Ray dominates the first few minutes of the match. Booker T is cheering his brother on and loving it on commentary as Scott Hall really struggles and seems to be receiving the ass whoopin' that Stevie Ray promised him
As the match goes on Stevie Ray's early energy tires him out a bit and Scott Hall wears him down.
The end of the match comes just after Scott Hall pokes Stevie in the eye which the referee doesn't see. Not long after this Scott Hall manages to give Stevie a Razor's Edge to get the win in what was a surprisingly high quality, intense match.

Alfonso on the mic says "So what?! You won tonight Van Dam?! Well you won't win this Sunday as you're not on the card thanks to us! So enjoy this win tonight Van Dam... and the rest of you losers... at Starrcade... we will eliminate you guys from the match first... then we'll see just who takes home Shane's Money in the Bank!"
Shane McMahon comes out to a big pop at the entrance ramp and he has a microphone
Shane says "Bill... we will see this Sunday who takes home the Money in the Bank match but it's funny that you mention Rob Van Dam won't be in that match as that's not completely decided yet..."
Van Dam looks confused in the ring as does everyone else involved in the segment
Shane McMahon says "You see I never confirmed that the 6 Qualifying matches were the only route into the Money in the Bank match at Starrcade... you 6 men have all qualified... but there will be 1 more spot available in that match!"
Alfonso, The Extreme Alliance and Buff Enuff all look furious
Shane McMahon then says "You see... this Sunday at Starrcade... before the PPV begins... exclusively for the paid WCW fans in Miami, Florida... there will be a Lucky 7 Battle Royale! Every man on the roster who is not on the card for Starrcade will get a chance to be the Lucky 7th entrant in the Money in the Bank match... as the winner of that Battle Royale will win as their prize the 7th slot in that match later in the night!"
