Match 1:
Juventud Guerrera (c) vs Psychosis vs Super Crazy for the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship in a Triangle Match
The announcers confirm we're starting off a title match and some high-flying action as all 3 of The MexiCruisers face off against each other for Juventud's WCW World Cruiserweight title.
Tony Schiavone confirms there are no count-outs, no disqualifications and the first man to score a pinfall or a submission will take home the belt
We see Psychosis come out first with Jerry Lawler pointing out he is a former 2-time WCW World Cruiserweight Champion himself. He comes into this match with championship pedigree and that should not be discounted!
We then see Super Crazy come out. Joey Styles says whilst new to WCW, Super Crazy is a former ECW World Television Champion and that wasn't an easy championship belt to win. Super Crazy too should not be discounted by Juvi in this match!
We then see the WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, Juventud Guerrera, make his way to the ring. He comes out all smiles taking in the applause as he laughs and taunts the crowd. Tony Schiavone confirms at 182 days Juventud Guerrera currently holds the record for longest reigning WCW World Cruiserweight Champion and he will be looking to extend that night, although he does not have to be pinned or submitted to lose his title!
This is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a high-flying, action-packed match to get the crowd up as Starrcade officially kicks off. All 3 guys rise to the occasion and put in very good performances in this match.
The match goes around 12 minutes with all 3 guys getting in some good offence and near falls.
The end of the match comes when it's just Juventud and Psychosis in the ring. A minute or so before this Super Crazy went for a Moonsault from the top rope to the outside. Juvi and Psychosis were trying to put each other through a table set up on the outside. They were standing in front of it when Super Crazy hit his Moonsault, both men managed to dodge it and Super Crazy's Moonsault resulted in him smashing through the table himself which put him out of the match.
Psychosis tries his best to get the better of Juvi, but Juvi just has too much for him. After Juvi misses a 450 Splash which Psychosis rolled out of the way of, Psychosis tried to hit a Psycho Stunner, but Juvi manages to counter and nails his stable-mate with a Juvi Driver. He considers pinning him, but he wants to make sure of the win, so he goes back to the top rope for a 450 splash.
Juvi stands at the top of the turnbuckle with the crowd in anticipation of him hitting the exciting move, when suddenly Super Crazy gets into the ring, jumps onto the top rope and he nails Juvi with a Spanish Fly onto the mat! Both Juvi and Psychosis are now laid out almost next to each other and with the crowd on their feet Super Crazy is energised and he quickly jumps back to the top rope and hits the Moonsault he planned to nail both men with just minutes ago!
Super Crazy lands on both Juvi and Psychosis... the referee counts...1..2..3!!!
Super Crazy wins the title via pinfall! (12.31) - (60 rated)
After the match a surprised but excited Super Crazy celebrates having won the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship for the first time. The crowd are excited to see a surprise title change and the segment ends with a jubilant Super Crazy looking crazy excited, as the camera pans to a defeated and shell-shocked looking Juventud Guerrera on the mat.

Shane McMahon promo
We then see Shane McMahon backstage with JJ Dillon. JJ Dillon says what an exciting start to the first Starrcade under Shane McMahon's Era of WCW... I've got Shane McMahon standing by and fans he has a huge announcement to make right here, right now!
Shane McMahon says thanks JJ and thank you so much to every WCW fan in the building tonight and watching at home on PPV across the world... we're only 7 months in but I'm so proud of what we have achieved together in that time.
The rich history of WCW and Jim Crockett Promotions is embedded in this great company's fanbase... I confirmed a few weeks ago that next month will see the first ever WCW Legacy event in which the WCW Hall of Fame will return, with 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair getting inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina (fans WOOOO)
Shane McMahon says I will now confirm 2 more of the WCW Class of 2002 Hall of Fame Inductees
The first Inductee is the late, great, Mildred Burke. Mildred Burke was a true pioneer in this industry. She introduced Women's Wrestling to most states in the U.S, as well as internationally to Canada, Japan and Mexico. Despite the challenges she faced she pushed through to make Women's wrestling something that was viable across the world.
It is also my pleasure to announce that in Mildred Burke's honour there will be a new annual Women's tournament that will conclude at WCW Legacy in January each year. This will be the Mildred Burke Legacy Tournament... 16 women will compete in the weeks leading up to the event and only 1 woman will go home with the Mildred Burke Legacy Trophy... to honour Mildred Burke's legacy in introducing women's wrestling to Japan and Mexico every year will see a wildcard entrant Japan and a wildcard entrant from Mexico take place.
(Fans generally cheer)
The second inductee... we will be honouring the man who started it all... a real pioneer in wrestling promoting... with Jim Crockett Promotions... a cornerstone of the NWA and what would eventually become World Championship Wrestling... the late, and also great, Jim Crockett Sr!
(fans cheer)
Shane McMahon then brings in Jim Crockett Jr and David Crockett into shot who are both holding a trophy (fans pop)
Shane McMahon then says in association with Jim Crockett Jr and David Crockett... Jim could you do the honours of announcing this...
Jim Crockett Jr then says in association with World Championship Wrestling he is delighted to confirm the return of The Jim Crockett Sr Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament - the Crockett Cup!
Shane McMahon excitedly confirms after a 14 year hiatus the Crockett Cup, which boasts former winners including Sting & Lex Luger, The Super Powers (Nikita Koloff & Dusty Rhodes) and The Road Warriors... the iconic tournament will return as a permanent fixture at WCW Legacy... with 16 tag-teams competing to take home the Crockett Cup at WCW Legacy!
The segment ends with Shane McMahon smiling with Jim Crockett Jr and David Crockett both holding the Crockett Cup trophy.

Match 2:
"The Most Dangerous Man in the World" Ken Shamrock vs "The Most Dangerous Man in WCW" The Sandman - No-Holds Barred Match
Well folks, says Tony Schiavone, a HUGE announcement from Shane McMahon confirming the Hall of Fame inductions of two legends of the business, Mildred Burke and Jim Crockett Snr... and also confirmation that the Mildred Burke Legacy Tournament and Crockett Cup will be on our screens all across January concluding at the first WCW Legacy event!
Jerry Lawler says he can't wait for that but Shane McMahon had a big part to play in this next one and boy I can't wait to see Ken Shamrock kick The Sandman's ass!
Joey Styles clarifies the rules on this one are that there are no-disqualifications and no-count outs... the only way to win is via pinfall, submission or referee stoppage!
Joey Styles pops as this is the first time we've heard The Sandman's "real" theme in WCW. The Sandman enters with a Singapore Cane drinking a beer through the crowd. There's a fairly mixed reaction, a lot of boos, but some cheers and scattered chants of ECW as some sections of the crowd even sing along to Metallica's big hit track.
The Sandman eventually gets to the ring having finished his beer and stands firm holding his Singapore Cane with a mean look on his face.
I'm not sure I'd want to drink a beer before fighting Ken Shamrock, says Tony Schiavone. Jerry Lawler says it's Dutch courage, Tony! I think you'd need several beers before you could step in the ring with a man like that! Fair point, says Tony in reply.
We see Ken Shamrock arrive at the top of the entrance ramp. Tony Schiavone says Joey this man, Ken Shamrock, he is the Ultimate Fighter, The Most Dangerous Man in the World... the only weapons he needs are the ones that God gave him!
Joey Styles says it's ECW vs UFC right here tonight! Who wins in a fight? The best fighter in the world... or the man who wields weapons the most dangerously? Joey Styles says in Ancient Rome... in the Coliseum… could even the greatest Gladiator have beaten an armed challenger with his bare hands?!
Ken Shamrock eventually gets into the ring and stares down The Sandman as the fans pop ahead of the match.
The match begins with Ken Shamrock ready to pounce on The Sandman, but The Sandman uses his Kendo Stick to keep Shamrock at bay. Shamrock eagerly awaits a mistake from The Sandman so he can wrestle the Kendo Stick off him, but The Sandman manages to land a shot on the back of Shamrock's thigh from a distance. It looks like it stings but Shamrock just smiles. The Sandman wildly swings and Ken Shamrock manages to catch the Kendo Stick in his hands and pulls it in... The Sandman panics and lets go of the stick, before dropping to the apron and getting out of the ring.
We see Ken Shamrock smash the Kendo Stick and break it in half rendering it useless for the rest of the match.
The Sandman meanwhile manages to grab a Steel Chair and he gets back in the ring and charges wildly at Shamrock. Shamrock dodges the first chair shot, but then The Sandman swings it again and manages to nail Shamrock who puts his hands to his face.
The Sandman just about has the upper hand for about 1 minute after this as he tries to get in as many chair shots to Shamrock as he can. The Sandman then hits a chair shot to Shamrock's back, but Shamrock powers up and no-sells it. The Sandman goes again but this time Shamrock grabs the chair and then flings the chair away. He's face to face with The Sandman for the first time and Shamrock grabs him and starts striking him all over.
The Sandman is really under the kosh for several minutes as The Sandman beats 50 Shades of Crap out of him. Shamrock hits multiple Belly to Belly Suplexes before lining The Sandman up for an Ankle Lock!
Ken Shamrock grabs The Sandman's leg but The Sandman wisely kicks out at him and then The Sandman ducks, rolls and escapes out of the ring.
Ken Shamrock taunts him from the ring.
The Sandman then reaches under the ring and pulls out perhaps a secret weapon... it's a Barbed Wire Baseball Bat.
Joey Styles says even Ken Shamrock can't fight his way out of a Barbed Wire!
The two have a Mexican stand-off for around a minute as Shamrock taunts Sandman to come and get him as The Sandman slows get back towards the ring using the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat as protection.
The match eventually comes to a conclusion when The Sandman goes for a big swing of the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat, but Shamrock ducks out of it, then hits a huge German Suplex on The Sandman. The Barbed Wire Bat then falls out of The Sandman's grasp and Shamrock carefully removes it from the ring.
Shamrock then hits too big shoot stomps on The Sandman before putting the Ankle Lock in.
The Sandman immediately cries out in pain. He tries not to tap but Shamrock intensifies the hold and The Sandman has no choice but to tap out!
Ken Shamrock wins via submission - (13.01) - (51 rated)
After the match we see Ken Shamrock standing tall. The Sandman lays in agony in the ring holding his ankle as a medic checks on him. We see Shane McMahon clapping. Shane comes to the ring with Shamrock's music still playing and he raises Ken Shamrock's arm in the air in victory as The Sandman has to be helped out of the ring by a medic.

Shane McMahon in-ring promo
Shane McMahon in the ring thanks Ken Shamrock for his services to WCW and himself for humbling The Sandman like he did.
Ken Shamrock shakes his hand and leaves to a pretty good pop.
Shane McMahon says I'm sure most of you will be happy to see The Sandman get his comeuppance like that. I promised he would be destroyed and he was.
Well, says Shane, the good news just keeps coming for WCW fans!
I've got 1 more BIG announcement to make so whilst I'm here in the ring and feeling hyped up after that match I want to deliver it to you all right now.
First of all... to our loyal fans across the World in the UK, Japan, Mexico, Europe, Australia and New Zealand... I know you've been emailing and asking us since WCW came back to get Nitro and Panic! onto TV in your local areas... well I'm over the moon to confirm that we have FINALLY agreed TV deals and for the next 2 years I have agreed deals to bring WCW Nitro and Panic! to our fans across the world in these areas! (fans cheer)
But WCW Nitro and WCW Panic! will not be the only shows that our international fans have access too... and this is an exciting announcement for our fans in the U.S and Canada too... it brings me great pleasure to confirm that from January 2002 that we have agreed with the good people at the FX Network and our Canadian TV partners Citytv and A-Channel... that there will be a 3rd WCW Television show!
January 2002 will see the debut of our brand new 1-hour Saturday morning Television show... drawing inspiration from the long-running WCW Saturday Night television show... I am proud to announce... WCW Saturday Morning! This will be the premiere 1 hour Saturday morning show to get your WCW and wrestling fix!

Match 3:
fReEk-sHoW (Vampiro, lYnCh!, mOrE-bId! & rAGe yEs) & Hugh Morrus vs The Hurricane, The Gale, Shane Helms & Latino Inferno (Chavo Guerrero Jr & Disco Infero) in a Mixed Tag 5 vs 5 Match
Hugh Morrus enters first looking angry. He waits at the entrance ramp for his team-mates to arrive.
Vampiro and his Juggalo followers come out and they make their way to the ring trying to scare kids and adults in the crowd on their way
We see the new dancing and women chasing tag-team of Disco Inferno and Chavo Guerrero Jr strut their way out.
Shane Helms then comes out to a decent sized pop and he joins them
We see The Gale come out but there is no sight of The Hurricane.
Latino Inferno and Shane Helms all look confused, it looks like Disco Inferno is questioning Shane Helms about this but The Gale talks him down and the 4 of them make their way to the ring.
Vampiro is laughing at Shane Helms as it seems to prove his theory that Shane Helms is The Hurricane correct.
This match goes just over 10 minutes and aims to bring the crowd down a bit after the intense match of The Sandman/Shamrock with a bit of a more light-hearted tone
Vampiro and Morrus dominate the early parts of the match as they take advantage of having an extra man on their team, as Latino Inferno and Helms tire out having to do all the work.
The end of the match comes when Vampiro grabs Shane Helms on the outside and drags him to the entrance ramp. Vampiro grabs a mic and demands a confession that Helms is The Hurricane... Helms says he's got no idea what Vampiro's talking bout.
Vampiro then drags Helms to the Gorilla position and we follow the action on the screen
We see Vampiro clearly smashing Shane Helms head back and forth on some kind of amp or big metallic trolley backstage as production officials and Shane McMahon try and calm him down as the action continues in the ring.
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, The Hurricane comes running into shot and cross bodies Vampiro onto the concrete ground. The Hurricane then gets up and he Chokeslams the fallen Vampiro through a table!
The Hurricane's theme then hits and we see The Hurricane come running out from the entrance ramp.
He takes out mOrE-bId! then rAgE? yEs! and then gets the hot tag to Chavo Guerrero Jr who was taking a beating from Hugh Morrus.
The Hurricane soars into the ring. He drop-kicks Morrus. Then he hits him with a Chokeslam! lYnCh! comes running into the ring to try and break up a count but she's taken out by The Gale!
The referee makes the count...1..2..3!!!
The Hurricane, The Gale, Shane Helms & Latino Inferno win via pinfall - (10.22) - (62 rated)
The segment ends with The Hurricane, The Gale and Latino Inferno standing tall. The Tron then shows a triumphant Shane Helms standing over Vampiro backstage saying I told you I'm not The Hurricane dammit!

April Hunter with Dusty Rhodes
April Hunter excitedly says she's standing by back-stage with 'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes just before his son 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes takes on Shawn Stasiak in a First Blood match. "Dusty, it's maybe not the marquee headline match that Dustin wanted going into Starrcade, but what should his mindset be going into this match tonight?"
Dusty Rhodes says "First... let me tell you how good it is here tonight April to be LIVE in FLORIDA with the WCW fans, baby! (fans cheer) Now you ain't tellin' no lies tonight Ms April, Dustin for sure he wanted that WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight... but I'm proud of what he's achieved since he came back to WCW... and I said to him earlier today April... Dustin, you win this match tonight against Stasiak and you put yourself right up there as one of the top stars in this company ready to take it to the next level!"
April asks what kind of mindset Dusty thinks his son needs to be in heading into a First Blood match?
Dusty says "Now a First Blood match, April, that ain't a match you can head into lightly, baby, to go into a match with the sole objective to make another man bleed... that's some real deep stuff you need guts for that April! But let me tell you somethin' Florida, my boy, Dustin, he's got more guts than just about anybody in this business today! He showed that in Texas for the I Quit match with Scot Hall... as he likes to remind me he never quit, April! So Dustin... I'm not worried about Dustin going into tonight's match, but that Stasiak kid? He better watch himself tonight that's all i'm sayin!

Match 4:
'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes vs Shawn Stasiak in a First Blood Match
Shawn Stasiak comes out first and the announcers mention how Mark Jindrak is nowhere to be seen with Stasiak. Jerry Lawler says that from what he understands any interference in the match will result in a D-Q so that could explain Jindrak's absence.
Dustin Rhodes comes out next with Dusty Rhodes seemingly electing to stay in the back and not be at ringside for the match.
Dustin looks intense as he makes his way to the ring. Dustin gets into the ring and before the referee rings the bell he immediately rushes Shawn Stasiak, who is caught off guard, which means Dustin gets a stiff punch on him before the bell. The bell then goes with Dustin having the upper-hand early on in the match.
The match goes just over 10 minutes. Both men engage in a vicious fight for superiority in the ring. It is much more of a wrestling match than what we saw with Shamrock and Sandman earlier in the evening though.
The end of the match comes when neither man has managed to bust the other open. After hitting a Death Valley Driver on Dustin Rhodes we see Shawn Stasiak leave the ring to try and find some sort of foreign object that could help him bust open Dustin. He finds under the ring the discarded Barbed Wire Baseball bat which was seen but never used in the Sandman/Shamrock match.
Shawn Stasiak picks it up and takes it to the ring.
Dustin Rhodes barely staggers to his feet in the ring and Shawn Stasiak holds the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat ready to use it to inflict misery on Dustin. Dustin staggers but Stasiak seems to freeze up, questioning whether he wants to go to that level of barbaric behaviour.
Dustin is still not strong on his feet and struggles to raise his fists but he seems to shout at Stasiak to take his best shot.
Stasiak considers it but then drops the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat on the match. He doesn't want to use it!
Dustin seems outraged and he gives Stasiak an open slap to the face.
Stasiak then charges him but Dustin Rhodes manages to over-power him and hit a Final Cut on him to the mat.
Dustin Rhodes then picks up the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat and shouts "YOU AIN'T GOT THE GUTS TO USE THIS TO MAKE ME BLEED... TO MAKE ME SUFFER FOR MY FAILURES... YOU F***ING COWARD!!!"
A defenceless and begging for mercy Stasiak looks up to Dustin Rhodes as it looks like Dustin is going to start using the barbed wire bat to attack him with.
Dustin then shouts "THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE SOMEONE SUFFER FOR THEIR FAILURES!!" and in a move that shocks Stasiak, the referee and everyone watching, Dustin viciously cuts his own face with it instead.
The crowd, Stasiak and referee look on in shock, as Tony Schiavone gasps in horror.
The camera shows one side of Dustin's face covered in blood and bleeding once he removes it. Charles Robinson looks a bit unsure how to process it, before realising that Dustin has lost the match and he calls for the bell.
Shawn Stasiak wins as Dustin Rhodes is the first to bleed - (10.14) - (68 rated)
---
Rhodes Family Post-Match Inquest
After the match Shawn Stasiak's music plays but he doesn't really celebrate. He looks freaked out by what's just happened. The referee raises his hand before he walks off, with Dustin Rhodes in the ring pacing. Dustin has discarded the Barbed Wire Baseball Bat to the outside of the ring. A medic comes in to help him with the bleeding on his face but Dustin sends him away.
Suddenly, we see Dusty Rhodes looking pretty concerned making his way to the ring.
Dustin looks a bit annoyed as Dusty makes his way into the ring.
Dusty starts talking to Dustin, looking real concerned for his son.
Finally, a sad looking Dusty reaches out to hug his clearly mentally disturbed son. Dustin looks like he's going to hug him, but then suddenly he uses his knee to deliver a powerful low-blow to his father (crowd shocked)
Dusty is brought to his knees in agony by this, the pain physically and emotionally clearly on his face. Dustin puts his hand to the crimson bloody mask on his face, he then wipes some of the blood onto his Father's face.
Dusty just about manages to get to his feet and then his son hits him with a Final Cut.
Dusty Rhodes is laid flat out in the middle of the ring as Dustin, still bleeding from his face, smiles to the camera and then walks off.

JJ Dillon with Booker T
We cut back to Booker T and JJ Dillon back-stage ready for an interview.
Booker T had been looking at a monitor and he says to JJ "TELL ME I DIDN'T JUST SEE THAT?!"
JJ Dillon says yes Booker, disturbing scenes there in the ring as 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes appears to have turned on his father, the legendary 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes
Booker T says "JJ, damn, what just happened to Dusty, that ain't no dream of mine..."
JJ Dillon says "But focusing on what is your dream, Booker, tonight, you get the chance to become a 5 Time WCW World Heavyweight Champion. That would put you in very lofty company indeed, in the history of WCW, only Ric Flair, Sting, Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash have managed to win the title that many times. How much does this mean to you, Booker?"
Booker T says "JJ... it means everything to me, man. That title I worked so hard to get to... to be The Man in WCW... when I was coming through in this business those guys, Sting, Flair, Hogan... they're the guys you're looking at and inspiring to be like. I always had this dream of facing Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade, don't know why... I don't know if that will ever happen, but to win the title once was a dream... 4 times... look to win it 5 times tonight would be what it's all about... I worked hard for this JJ, Scott Hall stole my title and I hope tonight I get that Big Gold Belt back!"
JJ Dillon says "What kind of condition is your manager and partner Sharmell in? Is she able to be in your corner tonight?"
Booker T looks glum. "Look for Sharmell it was a dream for her to be in my corner at Starrcade... Saraya beat her up real bad... I think she's a bit self-conscious you know JJ... make-up can't cover up what Saraya did to her face... I don't know if she's got the confidence back to be in my corner tonight but I gotta focus on myself and get this done myself tonight, man. No excuses. If there's interference I gotta be ready to deal with that!"
JJ Dillon thanks Booker T for his time

Match 5:
Steve Corino (c) (with Don Callis) vs "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair for the WCW FXtreme Television Championship
Tony Schiavone says well we just heard about Ric Flair in that interview and it's that man who's coming out next. Ric Flair, who will be inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame next month in the WCW Hall of Fame Class of 2002... he has 8 Starrcade wins to his name. Of the hundreds of competitors to compete on Starrcade shows only Sting has more wins to his name than Ric Flair... Steve Corino has beaten a lot of great names past and present to defend this title over the past few months, but can he compete with Ric Flair on the biggest stage of them all?
Arn Anderson, who has replaced Jerry Lawler on commentary for this match, says that as Ric says - to be the man, you got to beat the man... that Corino kid, he's got a tough ask to do that tonight, Tony.
Joey Styles says Steve Corino has been WCW FXtreme Television Champion for 154 days and in that time he has defended this belt on 15 separate occasions against the likes of Dusty Rhodes, Terry Funk, 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan, Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine, Norman Smiley, Fit Finlay, Shane Helms and Disco Inferno just to name a few... Ric Flair is the underdog going into this match, Arn! He's still got ring-rust... he's only had 4 singles matches since being gone from wrestling for 6 months
Arn Anderson says wrestling is like riding a bike Joey, you'd know that if you ever did it!
We finally hear Ric Flair's entrance theme and Ric Flair comes out to a huge pop as the Miami crowd goes wild for him.
Flair takes off his elaborate robe and waits in the ring
Steve Corino comes out with Don Callis following him. Don Callis is whispering advice to him as they make their way to the ring with the WCW FXtreme Television Championship belt.
Corino eventually gets into the ring and stares down Flair as the crowd cheer in anticipation.
This match goes just over 13 minutes. Both guys put in a really impressive display of mat wrestling and psychology throughout the match. Flair does still seem a little bit ring-rusty but Corino puts on a real show in this match and presents himself as perhaps one of the future stars of WCW.
The end of the match comes when Corino nails Flair with an Old School Expulsion. Corino goes to cover Flair and just at 2.9 we see Flair kick out!
Corino can't believe it! He argues with the referee in disbelief that he didn't get the 3.
Flair eventually gets up and comes running over to Corino. Corino counters but in doing so he and Flair accidentally clatter into the referee.
With the ref down we see Don Callis take the opportunity to go to the time-keeper's table. He grabs the WCW FXtreme Television Championship and looks like he is going to pass it to Corino to cheat against Flair with.
But unknown to Callis as he began to do that Arn Anderson put his head-set down and made his way down to the ring to prevent this from happening. Just before Don Callis can chuck the title to Corino, 'The Enforcer' Arn Anderson grabs him and then nails Don Callis with a big right fist to the face causing Callis to be knocked out on the outside.
Corino was distracted by what just happened and using this distraction Ric Flair hits Corino with a massive Low-Blow which the referee doesn't see. The fans cheer. Flair then hits a big Chop to Corino which sends him down (fans WOOO)
The fans then cheer as they sense what's coming.
Ric Flair puts Corino into the Figure Four Leg-Lock!
The fans cheer as Corino starts screaming as he is desperate not to tap out. He tries to reach for the ropes but he can't reach them!
He holds out for a little longer but then he has no choice but to tap and the referee calls for the bell!
Ric Flair wins the WCW FXtreme Television Championship via submission - (13.04) - (78 rated)
After the match we see Ric Flair celebrate this huge win with the crowd. As he eventually leaves the ring we see him give Arn Anderson a hug for the part he played in stopping Don Callis.

JJ Dillon interview with Terry Funk
JJ Dillon is standing by with Terry Funk. He says, Terry, you're a WCW Hall of Famer, former WCW United States Champion, WCW World Hardcore Champion on 3 occasions, 2-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion, NWA World Heavyweight Champion, NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion (fans pop), 10-time Tag Team Champion all across the world with your brother Dory Funk Jr... if this is the end of your career tonight, well you've had a hell of a run haven't you?
Funk says "Look JJ I've had a great career in this industry... ain't nobody out there going to disagree with that... but I've had people backstage all week coming up to me like this is my funeral or retirement party or somethin'... well let me tell you JJ, the fans out there in Florida and all the boys and girls in the back... the way I see it tonight is Jeff Jarrett's funeral! Jeff Jarrett thinks he's going to get one over on me tonight... to end my career for good and springboard his own career in WCW as he tries to get back on top here... but tonight in that ring I will beat Jeff Jarrett and he's the one with more to lose tonight... if I lose my career, well I had a good run, but if Jarrett loses tonight it's the end of his time as a top star in this industry!"
We then see Tommy Dreamer and Sabu walk into set.
Terry Funk looks angry at seeing them.
Tommy Dreamer puts his arms up in a peace offering.
Funk says "What do you guys think you're doing?!" in an angered tone, when Dreamer says "Look Terry, we know since we got there in WCW that we haven't seen eye to eye much... or at all really"
Funk says "Well that's a Damn understatement!"
Dreamer then says "We just wanted to come here and say if this is the end tonight for you... it was an honour to be part of your career, man... you'll always be a legend in ECW!"
Funk doesn't seem to know how to react but he seems a bit annoyed, or maybe embarrassed.
Sabu says "You're one of the best to ever do it, Terry, man... thank you, brother."
Dreamer and Sabu shake Funk's hand and then walk off.
Terry Funk on the microphone says "I'm not dead yet, dammit!" as the segment ends

Match 6:
Shane's Money in the Bank Ladder Match - The winner, who retrieves the Money in the Bank Briefcase, will get a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship any place, any time as long as they cash it in before Starrcade 2002.
Buff Bagwell vs Billy Kidman vs Curt Hennig vs Rob Van Dam vs Sabu vs 'Dr Death' Steve Williams vs Tommy Dreamer
The announcers hype up this match, the first of it's kind, as they all wonder what sort of chaos and violence they are about to witness.
Buff Bagwell comes out first looking cocky and confident. Buff Daddy V, who finished in the Final 4 of the Lucky 7 Battle Royale to try and qualify for this match earlier tonight, is nowhere to be seen, but Tony Schiavone speculates we will surely see him at some point before this match is out.
Tommy Dreamer comes out next looking energised by the crowd. There is a splattering of "ECW! ECW! chants.
Sabu comes out next and we see Bill Alfonso giving him some advice at the top of the entrance ramp before leaving Sabu to walk down the ramp to the match alone
Billy Kidman comes out next looking nervous but excited for the match. Torrie Wilson gives him a hug at the top of the entrance ramp before he to makes his way to the match alone
We then see Curt Hennig come out to a decent pop as he does some stretches at the entrance ramp before heading down
'Dr Death' Steve Williams comes out. Jimmy Hart perhaps smartly staying in the back for this one
The final, 'Lucky' 7th entrant, Rob Van Dam, comes out to perhaps the biggest pop of them all, he picks up a ladder and then jogs to the ring as the referee rings the bell. There's numerous referees looking on from ringside wondering how chaotic this match will be
This match is just over 15 minutes of chaos with some big spots and run-ins
Bill Alfonso's plan of Bagwell, Dreamer and Sabu taking the other 3 guys out of the match doesn't work given Rob Van Dam's presence and those 3 guys are actually over-powered themselves with the 'good guys' taking care of business early on
We see a run in led by Bill Alfonso as Buff Daddy V, Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten come down to the ring to try and help out their guys but all 3 of those men get taken out. Rob Van Dam takes out Buff Daddy V as he cross-bodies him from high up a ladder when Buff Daddy V tries to stop him going for the title
Axl Rotten gets speared by 'Dr Death' through a barricade on the outside and Billy Kidman hits a Shooting Star Press to Balls Mahoney from the top rope to a table on the outside.
Tommy Dreamer takes a big bump at one point as Curt Hennig hits a Perfect Plex from the top rope through a table in the middle of the ring. Sabu hits a springboard leg-drop from the ring to the outside smashing Dr Death through a table which takes its toll on Dr Death.
The end of the match comes when it seems to boil down mainly to Rob Van Dam and Sabu fighting it out in the ring after the other men in the match have been taken out in big spots.
Bill Alfonso comes in the ring with a chair and tries to hit Van Dam with it, but Van Dam hits a Super Kick on Alfonso who holds the chair to his face and then clatters down.
Van Dam and Sabu fight on a ladder and Van Dam manages to kick Sabu off the ladder. The impact causes Sabu to fall to the mat and he rolls out of the ring but he rolls onto a table set up on the outside.
Dreamer crawls to his feet and he can see that he's got no chance of making it to stop Van Dam from grabbing the briefcase as he's already at the top of the ladder.
Dreamer instead pulls the table holding Sabu a bit further out from the ring and he starts shouting up to Van Dam. He tells Van Dam if he wants to end Sabu's career now's his chance!
Van Dam looks down and the way the ladder is set up he could probably attempt a death-defying jump from the ring to Sabu like he wanted to do in the Ladder match that ultimately cost him his WCW United States Championship when Alfonso threw him off the ladder.
Some fans seem up for seeing this, but Van Dam shakes his head and then grabs the briefcase instead as Tommy Dreamer looks annoyed on the outside.
Rob Van Dam wins via retrieving the briefcase - (15.15) - (82 rated)
After the match the announcers hype up how whoever wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in tonight's main-event now has to worry about Rob Van Dam, who could cash in that title shot any time, any place!
After the match a disgruntled Tommy Dreamer grabs Sabu and Alfonso and drags them back up the entrance ramp as Rob Van Dam celebrates in the ring as the fans join in with the ROB...VAN...DAM chants

Match 7:
'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett vs Terry Funk - If Terry Funk loses, then he can never wrestle again
Jeff Jarrett comes out first. There are lots of boos and scattered cheers as 'The Chosen One' comes out in his shades and carrying a special Starrcade branded guitar.
Jarrett makes his way to the ring and then waits with excitement in the ring
Terry Funk's theme blasts through the arena as the fans cheer knowing this may be the end for The Funker. Terry Funk hugs his brother Dory Funk Jr who we see in the front of the crowd for this match.
There's a huge Texas flag that can be seen in the background for Funk's entrance and he makes his way to the ring looking emotional
This match goes just under 13 minutes and focuses more on psychology and brawling than a technical based match or a spot-heavy match like we just saw.
It's clear that Funk has declined physically and isn't really at this kind of level any more but Jarrett does his best to carry the experienced Funk through a match on the biggest show of them all for WCW
The end of the match comes when Jeff Jarrett starts shouting at Dory Funk Jr at ringside after beating up Funk in the ring. Dory Funk Jr goes to hit Jarrett, which sees Jarrett complain to the ref to try and get Funk disqualified.
Jarrett goes back to the ring as the referee starts talking to Dory Funk Jr clearly telling him he can't get involved. Jarrett gets back in the ring to go for his guitar but Funk was playing possum. Terry Funk picks up Jeff Jarrett's guitar and smashes him over the head with it!
The referee is still distracted with Dory Funk Jr as Funk hides all the evidence.
Jeff Jarrett stumbles around in the ring before the crowd erupts as Terry Funk nails Jarrett with a huge DDT!
The referee runs into the ring and he makes the count
1...2...3!!! BUT NO!!! Jarrett kicked out at the last moment!
Terry Funk can't believe it. The crowd can't believe it. But Jeff Jarrett kicked out!
Terry Funk drags Jarrett to his feet and he tries to hit another DDT on him but Jeff Jarrett counters and hits him with a Running Neckbreaker. Funk stumbles to his feet and Jeff Jarrett nails him with The Stroke!
Jeff Jarrett stands tall and laughs at the crowd, but he's done yet! He yells at Funk to get to his feet like a man. It's very clear that Funk has no way of getting to his feet.
Jeff Jarrett then drags Funk up to his feet. Funk almost falls to his feet. Jarrett hugs him putting him into the standing position for another Stroke.
Before he slams him down Jarrett seems to look almost sympathetically directly at the dishevelled Funk, before finally nailing him with it.
Funk is now out cold in the ring.
Jeff Jarett immediately pins him and the referee counts 1..2...3!!
Jeff Jarrett wins via pinfall - (12.48) - (50 rated)
---
The End of the Funker
The crowd seems a bit shocked at the confirmation of the end of Terry Funk's in-ring career.
Jeff Jarrett looks down on him sympathetically for a few seconds before shrugging and then wildly celebrating to boos from the crowd.
Jarrett walks off and as he's going off the entrance ramp he shouts into the camera "I TOLD YOU JEFF JARRETT WAS BACK IN WCW TO WIN TITLES AND END CAREERS, BABY... GOODNIGHT FUNKER!!"
Jarrett walks off stage all smiles as the camera focuses back on the wounded Terry Funk.
Dory Funk Jr has been allowed out from the crowd and he helps his brother and former Tag-Team partner and champion team-mate to his feet as Terry Funk is able to take in the applause and respect from the crowd. Joey Styles, Jerry Lawler and Tony Schiavone are all on their feet as the crowd chant "Thank you Terry"
Terry Funk then symbolically removes his boots and he leaves them in the ring as Dory Funk Jr helps him to the back

DDP interview with April Hunter
April Hunter says "DDP, we've just seen the end of the career of Terry Funk... in recent weeks you've been keen to show the WCW fans and the wider wrestling world that at 45 years old you're still on the top of this industry... what would beating Kanyon for the WCW United States Championship mean for you tonight?"
DDP says "Yeah, first of all April I want to say mad respect for Terry Funk and all he's done in this industry... if you're gonna go out that's the way you wanna go out, fighting like a true champ... this run of mine since I lost against Scott Hall at House of Cards for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship... yeah, look April, it would mean everything to me tonight to win that WCW United States Championship... people say to me Oh Page, you wanted to be talking in with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship... and they're not wrong, but I lost that match and then lost the chance to go in that Money in the Bank match... congrats to Van Dam by the way... and suddenly self-doubt kicks in and you start doubting whether you belong at the top of this sport anymore... but April, if I win that WCW United States Championship I feel I'm vindicated in myself and my own ability and future in this business."
April follows up by saying "Obviously your own personal relationship and friendship has been put to the test given he's the WCW United States Champion... do you have anything to say to him ahead of tonight's match?"
DDP says "Yeah, look Chris, this isn't personal, no matter what you think, it isn't. Would there be many guys out there I'd rather share the ring with tonight than Chris? No, April, there isn't, but not 'cause I want to beat him or put him down, but because I know I can put on a match of the night that people remember for 10, 15, 20 years with you Chris, man... whether I win this match or not I want people to be going home tonight or turning off their television sets and saying well damn that match with DDP and Kanyon though?! That's the kind of thing that elevates you both whether you win or lose, that will elevate WCW and that will elevate the WCW United States Championship... I hope you understand that Chris, man, I really do."

Match 8:
Team Canada (Lance Storm & Mike Awesome) (c) (with Carl Ouellet) vs Expressly American (Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda) vs Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo (with Stacy Keibler) for the WCW Canadian Tag Team Championship in a Triangle Match
Sean O'Haire & Chuck Palumbo come out first with Stacy Keibler as Tony Schiavone reminds fans that much like the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship match the winner of this match is the team who get the first pinfall or submission, there are no count-outs or disqualifications in this match.
Team Canada have been the Tag Team Champions for 119 days but it should be noted that they do not have to be pinned or submitted tonight to lose their titles
Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda come out with U.S flags to pretty good pops as their patriotic U.S entrance theme rings out
Lance Storm and Mike Awesome come out proudly holding the WCW Canadian Tag Team titles too many boos with Carl Ouellet waving the Canadian flag behind them. We see a huge Canadian flag unveiled which gets a lot of boos from the crowd and scattered cheers from Canadians who have made the trip.
This match goes just over 10 minutes with all 6 guys involved heavily in the match itself
Lance Storm and Mike Awesome impress heavily in this match as they bid valiantly to defend their titles
The end of the match comes when Mike Awesome hits an Awesome Bomb on Mike Rotunda and goes for the pin. Chuck Palumbo breaks it up and then gets hit with a massive Lariat by Barry Windham which causes Palumbo to roll out the ring. Mike Awesome then goes for an Awesome Bomb on Windham, but Windham counters out of it and then Sean O'Haire clotheslines Mike Awesome out of the ring.
Lance Storm hits a Super Kick on Sean O'Haire sending him flying out of the ring and then Storm and Windham start trading blows. Lance Storm goes for a Super Kick, but Windham dodges it and then nails Storm with a Lariat.
Windham pins Storm. Mike Awesome comes running to make the save but Mike Rotunda manages to tackle him before he has the chance!
The referee counts..1.2..3!!!
Expressly American wins via pinfall - (10.42) - (64 rated)
After the match we see Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda celebrate their first WCW World Tag Team Championship win. They manage to get an American flag each from the crowd which they wrap
around themselves as they hold up the titles.
O'Haire and Palumbo look disappointed at ringside, as an inquest between Team Canada on who is to blame on losing the match begins.

Bischoff, Sable and Steamboat backstage
In a back-stage meeting room we see Eric Bischoff in his wheelchair stuck in an argument with Sable.
Bischoff says he doesn't agree with the WCW World Women's Championship being the 2nd from last match. He thinks that honour should go to the WCW United States Championship match.
Sable says she thinks Bischoff should shut his mouth and respect Shane McMahon's decision
Eric Bischoff says Chyna shouldn't even be competing tonight. Bischoff says that Chyna almost ending James Mitchell's ability to walk and almost paralysed me for life. I've been stuck in this wheelchair for months due to that reckless woman's actions!
Sable says she's had enough of Bischoff's whining. If he was a real man he wouldn't have got beaten up by a woman to start with!
Bischoff gets super hot at this remark. He gets so angry he forgets himself and he stands up and starts threatening Sable!
Just as this happens a drunk Ric Flair with a cigar in his mouth, the WCW FXtreme Television Championship and a bottle of champagne comes into the office.
Everything stops.
Ric Flair shouts "BISCHOFF! I never liked you, man. Still don't. What's this I see? You got a problem with Sable? You want to lay your hand on a beautiful woman... well hitting one's the only way you'll ever do that, my friend."
Bischoff goes to hit Flair but Flair dodges.
Ricky Steamboat then says "Eric, how long have you been able to stand up and walk?"
Bischoff says "You know what Ricky... I don't answer to you, why don't you get bent!" and then Bischoff storms off walking completely normally.
Flair asks Steamboat and Sable if they'd like some champagne as the segment ends

Match 9:
Kanyon (c) vs Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW United States Championship
We see a promo package hyping up this match between the two friends, former rivals and how DDP qualifying for this match seems to have put a wedge between them once again
Before DDP comes out we see on the tron the words:
SMELLS LIKE... SELF HIGH FIVE
DDP comes out to a huge pop from the crowd.
Tony Schiavone hypes up how this is the first time that DDP has ever come out to Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. Joey Styles asks if he's suggesting Jimmy Hart's entrance theme for DDP is meant to be inspired by that song or what?
DDP soaks in the applause of the crowd and there's scattered singing along of the song.
Whilst Kanyon may not be too pleased with him it seems the WCW faithful are still big fans of 'The People's Champion' DDP even after his recent loss to Scott Hall for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at House of Cards.
DDP gets into the ring and takes in the moment in front of the huge crowd in Florida
Kanyon comes out next looking intense but also nervous as he carries in the WCW United States Championship to the ring with him. Kanyon seems to have elected against an elaborate entrance and is just coming out all business.
Tony Schiavone says Kanyon has been WCW United States Champion for 63 days and comes into this match in hot form, but it has to be said so far tonight we've seen 3 title matches and 3 title changes! The odds aren't in Kanyon's favour tonight!
The match starts off with the crowd excited and not really sure who to cheer for. Both guys are popular with the crowd, perhaps DDP is slightly favoured, but Kanyon is still popular.
The match itself goes just over 15 minutes with both guys putting in a lot of work to make this one of the matches of the night and one of the matches of their respective careers. They both put in really solid performances and there's very little to split them in terms of offence and general performance.
The end of the match comes when both men are exhausted by their respective efforts to try and win the match.
Kanyon hits DDP with an Argentine Rack Neckbreaker and very nearly gets the win, but DDP just kicks out before the 3 count.
Kanyon then drags DDP to his feet and he positions him for a Flatliner, but DDP counters out of it and goes for the Diamond Cutter and HE GETS IT!!!
Kanyon is laid out in the middle of the ring and DDP unlike when he went to pin Scott Hall at House of Cards is right on him with the cover!
The referee counts 1..2...KANYON KICKS OUT!!!
DDP's face is in shock. The fans can't believe it.
Kanyon kicked out of the Cutter!
DDP can't believe it and has his head in his hands, but he's got to focus and get back up to try and win the match!
Kanyon slowly staggers to his feet and DDP lines up another cutter... DDP goes for the Diamond Cutter!
Kanyon manages to counter by letting DDP fall to the mat on his back without connecting. DDP is winded and struggles to his feet and now Kanyon goes for the Flatliner... and he hits it!
Kanyon pins DDP 1..2..OH BUT DDP KICKS OUT!!!
This time the crowd are shocked that Kanyon didn't get the win and it is now Kanyon who has his head in his hands. He thought he had the match won!
Just what will it take for either of these men to pin the other?!
Both men stagger to their feet and engage in a slugging contest. DDP hits Kanyon, Kanyon hits DDP... the two men trade blows like this for a little while until DDP goes for another Diamond Cutter but Kanyon reverses and pushes DDP into the nearest turnbuckle. Kanyon then hits DDP in the mid-section, puts him up on a Firemans Carry and Tony Schiavone says it's shades of Mortis here... as Kanyon with DDP on his shoulders climbs half-way up the turnbuckle and then jumps off backwards in a Samoan Drop from the turnbuckle.
DDP holds his back in pain as he looks in a bad way on the mat.
Kanyon immediately grabs his legs, looks like he might pin him, but instead moves his legs so they're facing back on themselves and he holds DDP up in a Gorilla Clutch!
The Innovator of Offence has put DDP almost in an inverted Clover Leaf submission here and DDP is crying out in pain.
Kanyon knows DDP's back isn't all there and he's just hit him with a big Samoan Drop and now this... is this too much to take?! Will DDP tap?! DDP tries to crawl out of it to the rope but Kanyon simply locks it in even harder using his leg as leverage on DDP's back! DDP tries to hold on... will he tap?!
HE DOES!!! DDP TAPS!! DDP TAPS!!!
Kanyon wins via submission - (15.23) - (83 rated)
Kanyon lets DDP go and takes in the emotion of having retained the title. The fans are on their feet for the match of the night so far.
Kanyon holds up the WCW United States Champion and looks happy at the reaction he's getting.
A medic gets in the ring to check on DDP who seems in a lot of pain holding his back.
Kanyon looks down at DDP initially annoyed but then he seems to be checking on the man he's fallen out with in recent weeks.
Kanyon manages to help DDP struggle to his feet. DDP doesn't look in a good way and both the referee and the medic are concerned Kanyon is going to hit him again but Kanyon simply puts out his hand offering a handshake of respect.
DDP takes it and embraces Kanyon, he pulls him in for a hug as the fans cheer a real moment. DDP laughs and then seems to make a joke with Kanyon about hugging him too hard.
The segment ends with Kanyon helping DDP with an arm on his shoulder for support as they make their way to the back

Real Talk with Roddy with WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Hall
We see a pre-recorded interview segment with Scott Hall and Roddy Piper. The WCW World Heavyweight Championship sits on the table.
Roddy Piper starts the interview by saying "Well Scott, 154 days ago at Bash at the Beach we sat down before the show and had an interview... a lot has changed since then."
Scott Hall, chews on a tooth-pick, then says "Roddy, I remember that interview well. You told me that Money can't buy you History... well Roddy, money helped me get this title... and I've made history as WCW World Heavyweight Champion!"
Piper says he can't argue with that, but he reminds him that pride comes before a fall.
Scott Hall scoffs. "Roddy, you talk like it's a sin to be proud of my reign as champion. With respect, that's bullshit, man. I should be proud of this. It ain't no secret that I've had my demons in the last few years... a lot of people were talking a lot when Shane McMahon even signed me back to WCW on big money... a lot of people were talking more when they found out he gave me a title match as part of that contract... people expected me to fail or mess up... I think maybe even a lot of people were hoping that I would fail or mess up to fit their narrative. Well you can debate about the morals of how I won this title, but since then I have defended this belt and put WCW on my back... and look I'm not under any illusion that WCW are back on top in the wrestling business... but I have helped drive WCW back from being a laughing stock and a joke to a company that people can start taking seriously again!"
Roddy Piper says "That might be so Scott. But many have viewed your actions in recent weeks as evidence that you've been running scared of Booker T. You attacked his brother, attacked his girlfriend... all to try and provoke him to break your no-physicality clause which would have seen this match downgraded to a non-title match... are they the actions of a man who believes he's walking out of Starrcade still as champion?"
Scott Hall smirks. "Look Roddy, it's mind games, that's all... you'd know if you ever won a World title that once you hold this Big Gold Belt it becomes like an addiction... and trust me, I think we all know I've got an addictive personality... I would do anything in my power to keep this belt and that includes mind-games, dirty tactics, cheating... whatever it takes Roddy. I've played mind games with Booker in recent weeks and look I'm not going to lie to you man, if he broke that no-physicality clause then I would've been happy, who wouldn't want to guarantee they walk out of Starrcade still champion? But do I believe I'll walk out of Starrcade still as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion? I got no doubt in my mind, man, no doubt at all...
Piper then says "Okay, well final question then Champ... what's next for you should the worst happen tonight? If you lose that title... we haven't really seen Scott Hall in Shane McMahon's WCW without that title belt... where do you go next if Booker T does beat you?"
Scott Hall then says "Look Piper, after tonight, I got another 18 months left on my contract... so even if Booker T does manage to steal the title off me tonight, which he won't, but if he did... I ain't going anywhere, man. You can't get rid of The Bad Guy that easy man, you know?"

Match 10:
Akira Hokuto (c) (with 'Sinister' James Mitchell) vs Chyna for the WCW World Women's Championship
Before this match Arn Anderson swaps in with Jerry Lawler out with Tony Schiavone hyping up how behind the scenes Arn is involved with training the women's division and is an expert on them as a result of this
Before Chyna comes out the Tron shows THE 9TH WONDER OF THE WORLD and then we see a flaming background with a pair of heels come storming through and the text HELL ON HEELS shows
Chyna then comes out to a huge pop from the crowd. Chyna takes all of this in as Arn Anderson says this is the biggest match of Chyna's WCW career so far
The WCW World Women's Champion, Akira Hokuto, comes out next with an elaborate Japanese themed entrance which sees a lot of extras including geishas and then people dressed as common Japanese peasants who all bow down and worship her as she comes out in a very elaborate costume with 'Sinister' James Mitchell following behind
Arn Anderson says Akira Hokuto has held this title for 182 days, 6 months and counting. Hokuto has put down any and all comers in that time but she's not faced a woman quite like Chyna yet.
This match goes just under 10 minutes.
Hokuto's strategy in the match appears to try and use superior speed and agility to wear down Chyna as she seems aware that Chyna's superior strength and striking power could really do her damage should she try and duke it out with her.
Chyna gets frustrated early on as she hasn't been able to dominate Akira like some of the other girls she's wrestled since being in WCW. Akira does get a decent amount of offence in without really hurting Chyna too much.
The end of the match comes when Chyna manages to finally get some big punches and impact moves onto Akira Hokuto which has the crowd cheering. 'Sinister' James Mitchell tries to get involved but Chyna punches him off the apron causing Mitchell to land in a heap.
With this distraction Akira Hokuto rolls-up Chyna and nearly pulls off a huge win but Chyna kicks out just before 3.
This seems to rile Chyna up further and whilst Hokuto tries to use this to her advantage it is not long before Chyna manages to hit a Chokeslam on Akira Hokuto and then pins her in the middle of the ring to get the 1.2..and 3!!
Chyna wins via pinfall - (9.43) - (48 rated)
The match ends with some pyro as Chyna celebrates finally becoming the WCW World Women's Champion which is proudly presented to her be WCW Women's Division General Manager, Sable, who holds her arm up in victory in the ring as the crowd cheer for Chyna.

Match 11 / Main Event
Scott Hall (c) vs Booker T for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship
Before the match the Tron reads "CAN YOU DIG IT SUCKA?!"
Booker T comes out to a huge pop and some extra pyro as the crowd go wild for the number 1 contender. Jerry Lawler is back on commentary for this one and they all mention how it's such a shame that Sharmell was too beat up to be in his side for this match.
Booker T is in the ring and waiting as we wait for Scott Hall
Before Scott Hall comes out we see The Fugees live on the entrance ramp who play out the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Hall, to the ring with their classic hit 'Ready or Not'
Joey Styles says just to clarify to WCW fans The Fugees aren't even still really performing concerts or touring together... I think Scott Hall must have forked out a lot of money to get them to play him out tonight!
As the song gets in we finally see an even fancier Bentley than Scott Hall used to be driven out by The Sandman in before and Scott Hall gets out with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and cockily strolls to the ring
This match goes just under 18 minutes with both guys giving it all to try and walk out of Starrcade as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion
