MCMAHON vs AUSTIN. FORMER WWF SUPERSTAR MAKES A SHOCKING RETURN April 13. 1998
At the start of the show. Stone Cold Steve Austin & Vince McMahon were in the ring with Austin challenging Vince to a title match tonight but not before asking who Austin's opponent was for Unforgiven. Later on in the show. Vince accepted Austin's challenge.
But then, Later in the show. The cameras cut backstage outside to where a familiar face was spotted, the familiar face was Hollywood Hulk Hogan who made his return for the first time to the WWF in 5 years.
Before Vince and Austin's match could begin. Vince slapped Austin in the face and said that Austin could beat Vince McMahon with one arm tied behind his back. As the bell rang. McMahon left the ring and the champion was on the hunt for the Boss. But then suddenly it was a setup as Triple H, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn & Chyna all attacked The Rattlesnake.
After Triple H had pedigreed Stone Cold Steve Austin. The new leader of DX grabbed the WWF Championship and announced that he would beat Stone Cold for the title at Unforgiven!.
But Austin would be saved by an unlikely ally in Hulk Hogan causing DX to retreat from the ring.

AUSTIN AND HOGAN FACE TO FACE April 20. 1998
Just six days before Austin's big title match with Triple H. Hulk Hogan made his return to RAW and announced that he had signed a new contract with the World Wrestling Federation, but wanted to wish his brothers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall well in WCW!. And then also told Eric Bischoff to go straight to hell (in my storyline, we'll use how Hogan was not happy with WCW after he lost the WCW Title at Starrcade to Sting, and how he was not happy with the WCW Bookings, he was also not happy about Bret Hart coming in to WCW as well. So Hogan decided to leave WCW in March of 1998 after Bret Hart defeated him at Uncensored in a Loser Leaves WCW Match allowing Bret to win and becoming the newest member of NWO). Hogan said that it has been 5 years since he came to the WWF, and the last time he was in the WWF. Things didn't go that smooth, now he's looked around now that he's back in the World Wrestling Federation and he says that things have changed. He says he's all for the change because when he made the change when he started that group up in Atlanta. But Eric Bischoff screwed him over and now he's found a place where he's home once again. Hogan talked about the fun rivalries he had with Randy Savage. Ultimate Warrior. Andre The Giant & others, he says he may be in his mid 40s, but he's still got a lot left in the tank and he's just getting started. Hogan said that he wanted to call out Stone Cold Steve Austin. The WWF Champion Austin entered the ring with Austin saying that he had a lot of respect for Hogan coming back to the WWF and he really doesn't give a damn about Hogan coming back to the WWF. But he and Hogan had a grudge dating back years ago when he was a part of the so-called creative team that fired him years ago and Hogan's buddy Bischoff was responsible for it. Austin said that he and Hogan may not be friends, or see eye to eye, but like he said he really doesn't give a damn if Hogan is in the WWF. But he's glad to see Hogan there because he wants to kick his ass. Hogan said that maybe one day him & Austin would face off for the title because the World Wrestling Federation Championship was once his 5 times. He's let people beat him for the title 5 times. And he wants to prove that he can still have a lot left in the WWF when he faces Stone Cold Steve Austin for the title soon enough. He wants Austin at his best. Austin said that if Hogan wanted him at his best, then Hogan needed him at his best. But it's not going to be at Unforgiven, nor anytime soon. Hogan said that he understands. He wishes Austin luck against Triple H.
After the show. Hogan and Vince McMahon were seen catching up outside with McMahon telling Hogan that it was good to see him back in the World Wrestling Federation again. Hogan and McMahon then hugged with Hogan leaving but not before telling McMahon that he would be sitting in the front row at Unforgiven.

To kick off the show, The Rock regained the Intercontinental Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Faarooq, Ken Shamrock & Jeff Jarrett.
The European Championship would return in the form of D-Generation X as X-Pac captured the European Title over Owen Hart.
Once again Hulk Hogan was seen watching in attendance as well as he got mentioned by Howard Finkel. Hogan received a great response to the crowd.
Despite losing the Intercontinental Title. Jeff Jarrett and Sawyer Brown still put on a performance of a lifetime.
But in a big shocking surprise. Ric Flair made his return to the World Wrestling Federation for the first time in 5 years as well to confront Jeff Jarrett saying that he was not the real Nature Boy!.
For the first time in WWF History. Kane & The Undertaker squared off for the second time, but this time in the Inferno Match.
The flames were unbearable for both The Undertaker & Kane in the ring, but the winner of that match would have to catch fire, one of them would try to stay out of the flames as much as they could.
Just like WrestleMania 14. Kane seemingly had the advantage.
Kane tried to put Undertaker's face in the fire, but the Phenom would battle back.
A Chokeslam would put The Man From The Darkside down, but it still wasn't enough to try to put him in the flames.
Taker managed a comeback and sent Kane over the top rope in where Undertaker delivered his infamous suicide dive taking The Big Red Monster down.
Kane tried to kick at Undertaker to try to send him to the flames but Undertaker grabbed his foot and also grabbed his arm and set his shoulder on fire.
Kane was sent running to the back, shortly thereafter. The Undertaker did damage to Paul Bearer busting him open as well.
The Phenom was once again dominant over his brother once more.
The new leader of DX, Triple H wanted to bring the World Wrestling Federation Championship back.
Triple H almost got the win by hitting the pedigree on Austin when Austin was distracted by members of D-Generation X.
But Suddenly, a Stone Cold Stunner would put down The new Leader of DX and Austin would walk out still the WWF Champion.
As Austin was celebrating, he was attacked by a returning Mick Foley, but this time he was dressed up as Dude Love!.
The two brawled around the ring with Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco & Pat Patterson trying to stop with what was going on between Dude Love & Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin attempted to clock Dude in the head with a chair, but instead got Vince. Hollywood Hogan got out of his seat and got out of the barricade to check on Vince as Austin was celebrating in the ring. Hogan looked at Austin with a mean staredown on his face as Unforgiven went off the air.

DEADMAN TALKING! June 1. 1998
At Chicago on Monday Night RAW is War. The Undertaker entered the ring and cut an unscripted promo of how he was treated in the World Wrestling Federation, helping Vince McMahon get rid of some of the WWF Superstars while the others that The Undertaker defeated left town for greener pastures. Taker said he was pissed at McMahon for putting his family tragedy on the line for ratings and forcing him to face his brother Kane giving Paul Bearer an open forum. Taker said that he was also pissed at McMahon for bringing back Hulk Hogan as well. But said that he demanded his shot at the WWF Championship against Stone Cold Steve Austin. McMahon came out and announced that Taker could have his shot at the WWF Championship if he defeated his own flesh and blood Kane. In the main event though, Undertaker was unsuccessful because thanks to intereference from Mankind. Kane defeated The Undertaker to keep his #1 Contendership spot.

WWF KING OF THE RING - June 28. 1998 - Pittsburgh, PA
Tajiri & Taka Michinoku D. Kaientai in a 3 On 2 Handicap Match KOTR Quarterfinals Match: Triple H D. Mark Henry KOTR Quarterfinals Match: Val Venis D. Bradshaw KOTR Quarterfinals Match: Ken Shamrock D. Marc Mero KOTR Quarterfinals Match: The Rock D. X-Pac WWF Tag Team Championship Match: The New Age Outlaws D. D-Lo Brown & The Godfather to retain the WWF Tag Team Titles. WWF Women's Championship Match: Jacqueline D. Luna Vachon to retain the WWF Women's Championship. KOTR Semifinals Match: Triple H D. Val Venis KOTR Semifinals Match: The Rock D. Ken Shamrock Ric Flair & Owen Hart D. Barry Windham & Jeff Jarrett KOTR Finals Match: The Rock D. Triple H Hell In A Cell Match: The Undertaker D. Mankind WWF Championship No Holds Barred Match: Kane D. Stone Cold Steve Austin to win the WWF Championship
Triple H advanced to the 1998 King of The Ring by qualifying defeating Goldust, he defeated Mark Henry in the Quarter-Finals, and Val Venis in the semi-finals.
And also making it to the finals was The Rock. He defeated The Undertaker to advance, he would go on to defeat X-Pac in the quarterfinals and Ken Shamrock in the semi-finals so both DX Leader vs Nation of Domination Leader would wrestle to determine who would be the King of The Ring!.
The two of them would face off to see who would be the 1998 King of The Ring! But it would be The Rock who defeated Triple H to become the 1998 King of The Ring!.
The Undertaker and Mankind's war finally would be settled once and for all after a 3-year war that started since November of 1995. The Undertaker faced off against Mankind inside Hell in A Cell!.
Both men started the match off inside the cell by exchanging blows with one another. One of the Cage walls started to crumble.
But it would be The Undertaker who gained the advantage by tossing Mankind off the top of the cage through the Spanish Announce Table!. Jim Ross led out this unforgettable scream "Good Gawd Almighty, that killed him, As God as My Witness, He's Broken in Half!.
Despite Foley trying to get medical attention. Foley swaggerly stood on his feet and bruised, battered and hurt climbed to the top of the cell again to face The Undertaker.
The Undertaker would chokeslam Mankind through the roof of the cage breaking the cell roof throwing Mankind back into the ring.
JR pleaded with the referee to stop the match and that enough was done to Mick Foley. But Foley stood to his feet.
Terry Funk tried reasoning with The Undertaker to stop the match, but The Deadman refused and chokeslammed Funk to the mat.
Mankind made a comeback in this match by piledriving The Undertaker through a steel chair.
But then Mankind brought out thousands of thumbtacks and poured it all over the ring looking to make The Undertaker suffer his own hell the way The Undertaker made Mankind suffer twice.
But it would be The Undertaker that crashed Mankind through the thumbtacks.
Mankind rolled around like a human pin cushion.
The match finally came to a head with Undertaker hitting the Tombstone Piledriver on Mankind and thus getting the win.
After the Match. Mankind refused to go on the stretcher, instead he walked under his own power getting a standing ovation.
The Crowd who was still in awe of the Hell in A Cell Match still rose to their feet when Kane & Stone Cold faced off in the Mellon Arena in a No Holds Barred Match for the WWF Championship.
This was undoubtedly the toughest challenge in Austin's career as he did defeat Kane at No Way Out in a Last Man Standing Match, but he would prove that he would defeat Kane again.
The Monster Kane was relentless and almost tried to put Austin down with a chokeslam, but seemingly The Rattlesnake kicked out of it.
Austin was able to fight off the interference from Mankind & Kane and hit the Stunner on Kane, but then Hulk Hogan of all people came down with a steel chair to make his assistance.
Hogan had attempted to hit Mankind with a chair, but ducked and hit Austin in the head with it and that busted The Rattlesnake open. Kane then knocked Hogan out of the ring allowing Kane to scoop The Rattlesnake up and tombstone him to the mat thus becoming the WWF Champion!.
With accidental help from The Hulkster. Kane walked out the King of The Ring with the WWF Championship.
A Bloody Rattlesnake was stunned that Hulk Hogan accidentally cost Stone Cold Steve Austin the WWF Championship against Kane!.
