The Royal Rumble 1998 Match kicked off with The Rock entering at #1, and able to get by 8-Ball, but gave himself a rest cause Cactus Jack & Terry Funk were about to start their hardcore war in the Rumble Match.
The two picked up where they left off after knocking The Rock down for a bit, but The Rock was able to eliminate them both.
But there was nobody more dominant than the #15 entrant Kane who eliminated 9 superstars, and was almost able to make it all the way until he was played by the mind games of The Undertaker and that would allow Stone Cold Steve Austin to eliminate the Big Red Machine.
Also making his return to the Royal Rumble was The 123 Kid now known as Sean Waltman.
But the focus on everybody's mind was the arrival of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
And he came in firing on all cylinders knocking everybody down one by one and eliminating people one by one.
Until it came down to Austin & The Rock.
After a Stone Cold Stunner by Austin. The Toughest SOB tossed out The Rock over the top rope and similar to what Bret Hart & Randy Savage had done. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the third man in history to win the Royal Rumble for the second time.
The Rattlesnake stood victorious and was now going to WrestleMania 14.
Even Mike Tyson who was there to witness the Royal Rumble watched on.
The rivalry between Owen Hart & Shawn Michaels would finally reach it's culminative peak when the two faced off in a Ladder Match for the WWF Championship.
But with the help of D-Generation X & The new members of DX. The New Age Outlaws and The 123 Kid. Shawn Michaels for the fourth time became the WWF Champion in the ladder match.

AUSTIN CALLS OUT TYSON January 19. 1998
They say anything can happen in the World Wrestling Federation and on Monday Night RAW. It did happen. Vince McMahon announced that Mike Tyson would be a part of WrestleMania 14. Then suddenly Stone Cold Steve Austin came out and said that he wanted a fight with Mike Tyson but said he respected what he did in the boxing world, but he's out calling himself the baddest man in the planet. He's got his beady eyes locked on the eyes on the World's Toughest Son of A Bitch!. Austin then gave Tyson the middle fingers and that led to a shove by Tyson. Austin and Tyson had to be restrained by Tyson's officials and WWF Officials!.

The Legion of Doom to retain the WWF Tag Team Championship WWF Championship Steel Cage Match: Shawn Michaels D. Owen Hart to retain the WWF Championship Steel Cage Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin D. Kane
For the first time in No Way Out History. 3 matches were held inside a Steel Cage Match.
Once again Owen & Shawn faced off for the WWF Championship in the second Steel Cage Match of the night.
But once again The Heartbreak Kid found a way to defy all odds by retaining the title thanks to interference by D-Generation X.
And in the third and final Steel Cage Match. Stone Cold Steve Austin squared off for the first time against The Big Red Machine Kane. Kane was in control of this steel cage match and almost put Austin down with a big time chokeslam.
Austin would also try to put Kane down with a Stone Cold Stunner but as Austin started to climb the cage. DX ran down to try to stop Austin from escaping. Austin kicked the WWF Champion off the side of the cage and eventually climbed the cage for DX to beat him down.
As DX & Austin were brawling backstage. Paul Bearer grabbed a microphone and told Kane not to worry about the loss cause he still wasn't pinned or submitted. Bearer & Kane wanted to do a 10 bell tribute to The Undertaker and then Bearer said that Kane had one more tombstone left to do. But as he issued the challenge. The Lights went out and The Undertaker's gongs sounded and in the Casket was The Undertaker who sat up.
Kane and Paul Bearer looked like they seen a ghost, the man that they tried to burn inside a casket was still alive.
The Deadman declared that Kane & Paul Bearer could not destroy that doesn't wish to perish and that he returned to the world of darkness to explain to his parents that he would have to do the one thing he wouldn't do.
Kane then hit his pyros on The Undertaker, but that did not stop the Phenom. He angrily challenged Kane saying that he would walk straight through the fires of hell at WrestleMania 14 to face his brother and that he would rest in peace ending No Way Out!.

Mark Henry became the sixth man to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal by last eliminating the former WWF Champion Vader & Kurrgan.
The Rocket headed for the Grand Slam as he defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley to capture the European Championship.
Since December of 1996. Jacqueline had been the longest reigning WWF Women's Champion in history. But her challenge was tested when she took on Sable in Sable's first match for the Women's Championship. However, Marc Mero betrayed Sable and it allowed Jacqueline to retain the WWF Women's Championship.
The Big Valbowski made his WrestleMania Debut and defeated the former Intercontinental Champion Goldust with Goldust's ex estranged wife Marlena came out with Val Venis.
The Leadership for Nation of Domination imploded when The Rock took on Faarooq.
But The Rock defeated Faarooq and officially became the new leader of the Nation of Domination expelling Faarooq from the Group!.
The World's Most Dangerous Man captured the Intercontinental Championship in a Submission Match against Jeff Jarrett.
Cactus Jack & Terry Funk squared it off in the Boston Street Fight Match with both men battering and bloodying one another.
A Piledriver would finish Terry Funk off through a table for Cactus Jack to get the win.
RVD and Sabu with their manager Bill Alfonso accepted the New Age Outlaws's open challenge and defeated them in a non-title tag team match.
Before Kane could take on The Undertaker. Kane decided to start off a little damage prematurely to Baseball Hall of Famer Pete Rose sending a message to The Undertaker.
The Phenom walked through the gates of fire to face his own flesh and blood Kane at WrestleMania 14.
This was the most anticipated matchup in WrestleMania history as these two big brothers and giants took to the ring for the first time ever.
The Deadman started the advantage by trying to take down his brother.
But in the opening moments of the match, little brother seemed to be more powerful than The Undertaker's opponents.
It seemed like when The Undertaker tried to get a comeback in. Kane slowed down the comeback by taking him down.
Taker was able to knock Kane to the outside and he attempted to perform his signature missile dive on Kane, but Kane threw Undertaker straight into the announcers position.
Despite that. Undertaker continued to fight back, but Kane would take down The Undertaker by hitting the Tombstone Piledriver, but shockingly Undertaker kicked out.
The Deadman was able to fight back and take down his little brother.
It took not one, not two but three Tombstone Piledrivers to finally put the Big Red Machine down.
Despite winning the match. The Undertaker did not look like a winner as that physical beating Kane gave him would only be the beginning for this feud once and for all. As it had only begun!.
But the most anticipated WrestleMania match in history had taken place as Stone Cold Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels faced off for the WWF Championship.
These two gave it their all in the ring at WrestleMania 14, it was rumoured however that Shawn Michaels would be taking a break from in-ring competition due to nagging injuries & his addiction as well.
Michaels despite being injured still continued to put on the best WrestleMania fight he ever had done against The Rattlesnake. Michaels tried to hit Austin with some Sweet Chin Music but Austin countered the Sweet Chin Music.
Instead, a Stone Cold Stunner put HBK down and Mike Tyson, the special guest enforcer would pin Michaels's shoulders to the mat as Tyson had duped DX all along!.
Stone Cold Steve Austin did not win the title at WrestleMania 13 when he won the 1997 Royal Rumble, but this time he won the 1998 Royal Rumble and the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 14.
Shawn Michaels had got in the face of Mike Tyson as Austin was still celebrating.
But one right hand knocked the Ex-WWF Champion out.
As WrestleMania 14 ended. Jim Ross's voice screamed out "The Austin Era has begun, Stone Cold's 8-year journey has culminated by winning the WWF Championship!". Austin 3:16 says he is now the WWF Champion! Ohhh Hell Yeah! And That's The Bottom Line Cause Stone Cold Said So!.
