 STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN THE GRAND MARSHAL FOR DAYTONA 500
February 18. 2001
At the 43rd annual Daytona 500. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the Grand Marshal for the Daytona 500, Austin alongside WWF Superstars The Undertaker, Chris Benoit, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Chris Jericho, The Big Show, Lita, The WWF Champion The Rock, The WWF Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boys, Kurt Angle & Vince McMahon all attended the Daytona 500. They all watched as Michael Waltrip won his first NASCAR Race in the DEI #15 Car with Dale Earnhardt Jr. coming in second. But the bigger story was more focused on the crash that happened in Turn 4 when Dale Earnhardt hit the retaining wall in turn 4 bringing Ken Schrader with him killing Earnhardt instantly. |

 Another Hardy walked out with the WWF Light Heavyweight Title as Jeff Hardy became the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion.
 After Haku successfully defended the Hardcore Title against his fellow family member Rikishi. ECW's Tommy Dreamer appeared and defeated Haku to win the WWF Hardcore Title.

 Kurt Angle looked to reclaim the WWF Championship away from The Rock.
 But somehow the People's Champion would find a way to retain the title over Kurt Angle.
 For the first time in WWF History. Both Stone Cold Steve Austin & Triple H faced off in a Steel Cage Match with Weapons involved in the match as well. Rules stated that if Triple H won the match. He would face Stone Cold & The Rock at WrestleMania 17 for the WWF Championship.
 In the middle of the match, the referee was knocked out. Triple H & Austin both escaped the cage with the referee still being knocked out and both men fought on the outside busted open.
 The Game then pulled out his signature sledgehammer in that match.

Triple H vs Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock at WrestleMania 17. A Match that was orignally set for the 1999 Survivor Series. But it would now happen on the grandest stage of WWF History.

 VAL VENIS AND THE GOODFATHER REFORM BACK TO THEIR OLD WAYS WITH HELP FROM MR. ASS & CHYNA

On A SMACKDOWN Episode. Val Venis was summoned to the ring by the Right To Censor. Venis was about to get a rightful beatdown by the RTC for Venis breaking a sin and in having an affair with a woman for that one night because The Goodfather told him to. Just as Venis & Goodfather were attacked by RTC. Out came the returning Chyna to make the save, but she didn't come out alone as she had Billy Gunn with her returning to his Mr. Ass Roots. Venis, The Godfather & Mr. Ass all cleared the ring of RTC with the help of Chyna. Godfather then said that both him and Val are now out of the RTC and are back in the Ho-Train business. The Ladies came out as they celebrated to Godfather's old music. |

After ECW went out of business in Late 2000. The WWF wasted no time in signing ECW Competitors in Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible who had already captured the Hardcore Title at No Way Out in 2001. He also would hire Paul Heyman who would make his debut as WWF Commentator. Note: (Jerry Lawler will not be fired, he will be commentating SMACKDOWN with Michael Cole, The Kat will still leave the WWF but Lawler won't walk out in protest)

 HULK HOGAN RETURNS TO CHALLENGE KURT ANGLE AT WRESTLEMANIA 17
March 26. 2001
Kurt Angle had no opponent scheduled for WrestleMania 17 and said that he had enough of being left out of the card at WrestleMania. He wanted to issue an open challenge to anyone in the back. Then suddenly Hulk Hogan's music played in the arena as he came out. Hogan stated that the last time he and Angle were in the ring together. Angle made Hogan tap out cleanly, he's not going to forget about that. Hogan says that he had been watching Angle since he was the WWF Champion after that and he had a pretty impressive title reign including beating Triple H & The Undertaker and surviving the Hell in A Cell with 6 of the toughest superstars including The Rock & Stone Cold Steve Austin. Hogan stated that when he returns to the WWF. He not only don't seek for Championships but for Challenges to see if the new up and coming talent can make a name for themselves and defeat the legendary Hulkster and Angle's at the top of that list. But there's one problem although Angle defeated him before. He's never beat Hogan in a one on one match. So if Angle says he's the future of the WWF. Put his money where his mouth is and face the Hulkster at WrestleMania 17. Angle said that he's sure to make Hogan submit and make Hogan tap out. Angle then slapped Hogan in the face and then left the ring. |
