SHANE MCMAHON BOOKS KANE vs TEST IN A #1 CONTENDERS NO DISQUALIFACTION MATCH AT VENGEANCE, BUT IF KANE LOSES. HE MUST UNMASK July 17. 2003
A week ago. Kane confronted The McMahons about their attack on Hulk Hogan saying they had no respect for Hogan and no respect for the new talent with the McMahons taking exception to Kane's words and Vince rebutting that he would have a surprise for Kane next week on SMACKDOWN. GM Shane McMahon announced that Kane & Test's rivalry has gone on personally for long enough. So for that, he's booking them both to face off again at Vengeance in a No Disqualifaction Match in where Kane or Test have the opportunity to become the #1 Contender and face the WWE Champion on the SMACKDOWN after Vengeance, but with a catch if Kane was to lose the match. He would have to give up his identity he had for a very long time and that is his mask. Kane accepted and then chokeslammed the SMACKDOWN General Manager Shane McMahon.

For the first time, SMACKDOWN hosted it's first ever live interpromotional PPV as the card was filled with matches.
And to kick things off, Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit battled for the WWE United States Championship with Eddie winning a #1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match over Mark Henry, Jeff Hardy & Billy Gunn after Eddie's partner Chavo was injured.
The two best friends went back and forth in this match.
Eddie tried his infamous, lying, cheating and stealing in this match but Benoit stopped Eddie from doing so.
The referee was knocked down in the match after an attempted flying forearm by Eddie who went for Benoit but ducked and hit the referee.
Benoit locked in the crossface with the referee down and the belt was in the middle of the ring as well. Eddie attempted to grab it but Benoit continued to lock in the crossface.
Once again in the closing moments of the match, the referee got hit with a Benoit flying Headbutt.
That allowed Eddie to take advantage and drop Benoit with his signature frog splash and thus getting the win and regaining the WWE United States Championship.
If ever there was a crazy Hardcore Brawl in the history of the Hardcore Championship, it had to be this Bar Room Brawl Match. 6 Days Ago. Bradshaw invaded RAW and captured the WWE Hardcore Title by defeating Ric Flair. Bradshaw declared that he wanted to defend the title in an APA Bar Room Brawl Match with no 24/7 shenagigans. He & Faarooq invited the SMACKDOWN Roster and some legends to compete in this match as well.
But in the end it was Bradshaw that got the win and retained the Hardcore Championship.
Ultimo Dragon and Rey Mysterio faced off for the Cruiserweight Championship in Ultimo's first WWE PPV Match. Ultimo Dragon made his debut in Early May and earned the right to challenge for the Cruiserweight Championship.
Similar to their old school WCW Days. This was an intense back and forth match between the two.
But Rey retained the Cruiserweight Title and thus got the win over Ultimo Dragon.
The tension between Sable & Stephanie McMahon escalated at Vengeance when they faced off in a one on one match.
But a distraction by a returning Owen Hart allowed Sable to win the match.
In Vince McMahon's quest to keep Hulk Hogan destroyed before Summerslam. The Boss hired the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry to take down Hulkamania. But Hogan was too powerful even though Mark Henry weighed at least 400 pounds. Hogan just like he dealt with big men in his wrestling career was able to get the victory over Henry.
The Undertaker wanted to deal out a harsh punishment to John Cena who had debuted one year ago, besides The Undertaker was the man that shook Cena's hand one year ago.
The Deadman was not messing around as he wanted to beat some respect into Cena.
But Cena was able to fight back and shockingly countered a Last Ride & Tombstone Piledriver by delivering 2 FU's to The Deadman.
And in a massive shock, Cena was able to defeat The Undertaker cleanly by getting the win after hitting one final FU.
In the co-main event was the WrestleMania 19 Rematch between Kurt Angle & Brock Lesnar. Angle needed redemption for Brock's betrayal. Brock needed redemption for what Kurt Angle did when Angle was the first man to pin Brock Lesnar's shoulders to the mat.
It looked as if the two didn't care about the match, they wanted to beat the hell out of each other, they didn't want to wrestle each other. They just wanted to fight for the title, the two brawled to the inside and the outside of the ring, the match between Kurt & Brock didn't even last 7 minutes as both men were counted out. The two continued to brawl.
But Brock ended the brawl by reversing an Angle Slam into an F5.
The rivalry between Kane & Test ended Vengeance in the main event with not only a #1 Contendership Shot on the line, but Kane's mask was on the line as well.
The two brawled back and forth in this No Disqualifaction Contest.
Test did everything he tried to do to put Kane down, but Kane would just keep coming back for more.
Kane drilled Test with a devastating Chokeslam and was close to getting the win until Big Show, Mark Henry, John Cena, The FBI, The World's Greatest Tag Team, Roddy Piper & Sean O. Haire all came down to attack Kane. Kane eventually fought them off as he was saved by The Undertaker.
But SMACKDOWN GM Shane McMahon who had not simply forgotten about that massive chokeslam Kane caused to Shane weeks ago. Shane then smacked Kane with a vicious steel chair shot, but just as Kane was about to get his hands on Shane. Test then grabbed a 2X4 Wrapped in Barbedwire and struck Kane in the face with it, not once, not twice but three times. Test then picked up the victory over Kane.
Test did what he set out to do and that was defeat the monster Kane.
A dejected Kane who was upset had to be forced to unmask. But then Vince McMahon grabbed a microphone and told Kane that if he didn't unmask. He would be fired on the spot. The Heel Superstars & The Face Superstars including The Undertaker surrounded the ring to watch the unveiling of the unmasking.
The Big Red Machine's face was revealed for the first time as he went on a rampage destroying everyone in sight, even Shane McMahon, the SMACKDOWN GM. Security, The Chairman Vince McMahon & even his own brother The Undertaker who tried to calm him down and reason with him.
The Big Red Machine had snapped, but what does this mean for the entire SMACKDOWN Roster now that Kane is unmasked and is on the hunt to terrorizing people now that he's unmasked?
