Location: East Rutherford, New Jersey – Continental Airlines Arena

Bret Hart wins the WWF Championship 2 days before Summerslam on August 1st by defeating Shawn Michaels in a live event and replaces him to take on The Undertaker in the main event of Summerslam. Rocky Maivia beat Owen Hart on Raw July 7th to regain the Intercontinental Championship and Owen invokes his rematch clause for the occasion. Dude Love is the inaugural European Champion after winning a tournament by beating Triple H in the finals. Triple H gets another shot at winning the European Championship at Summerslam. Mick Foley pulls double duty in the show as he performs as Mankind in a Steel Cage Match against Terry Funk as well.

Match Card

1. Free-For-All Match:

The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher) vs. The Godwinns (Henry O. Godwinn & Phineas I. Godwinn)

Location: The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, Michigan

Shawn Michaels defeats Bret Hart in a live event on August 29th to win the WWF Championship and will end up facing The British Bulldog for the WWF title in the main event of the PPV. History is also made as for the first time ever, WCW contracted talents appear in a WWF setting as Rey Mysterio Jr battles Eddie Guerrero. Rumor has it behind the scenes that WWF was looking to poach Mysterio and Guerrero from WCW to bolster their Light Heavyweight Division...

Opening Match: WCW Cruiserweight Showcase The show kicks off with a showcase of high-flying talent as the WCW Cruiserweights take center stage. Attendance: 18,000

Owen Hart won the Intercontinental Championshp from Rocky Maivia on September 8th on Raw but the title wasn't on the line during the One Night Only special in England. Owen defends against Ken Shamrock on the show. The Headbangers had defeated the Legion of Doom one week before on Raw on September 1st and renew their rivalry with the Godwinns for Badd Blood

Opening Match: Tag Team Championship Match

The Headbangers (c) vs. The Godwinns
