The Pope! Now this is someone who can really help LU. He is criminally underrated. Though I wonder how he killed all of Dario's goons a few episodes ago, when that happened I was actually thinking it would have been some big monster like Matanza.
Tough seeing Chavo have to leave, but is he leaving or just going backstage to be an agent? I ha e a feeling this is an out of the ring segment that you will have for us soon.
Good show for night one, I look forward to the next.

Only Tigre Danny Castillo was killed that night, who said anything about it being The Pope who did it...Guess you will have to tune in to find out.

Heat Check
Hello everyone! Welcome to Heat Check episode 2! It has been a long time since I wrote an update on this diary but, I've been feeling the itch to play again, so I want to take the advantage while I am still heavily inspired. So, let's get into it. The last thing that happened before the hiatus was Retribucion Night 2. I will point out that this was Episode 11 in our timeline. We will pick back up with episode 12 very soon. I want to have a 20-episode Season 1, with Ultima Lucha potentially getting the last two episodes...Some miscellaneous things I want to touch on before we get to the storylines. I will be freshening up the style of this diary, not only my presentation but my writing as well (check out my NXT: Mexico Pride and Glory diary, to see a close example of what I mean) I feel like I have improved over time and can produce a better product now. So, if episode 12 looks different than the others, that is indeed intentional. One more item on the agenda, I don't feel I have done the best job of conveying the idea that I am playing as Eddie Guerrero, I will be improving on this over the course of the season. Now. We got that all out of the way, we can address the fallout of Retribucion. Where to start, these Retribucion nights were filled with twists and turns, but I think we should start with Night 1 and the crowning of our first official Champions. Son of Havoc and "The War Machine" Rhyno. These two gentlemen fought through the Dario Cueto Tag Team Invitational in order to earn the right to call themselves Tag Team champions. It is without a doubt they deserve this honor. Turning our attention to Night 2 however...Well that was a night our Tag Champions would soon like to forget. Because as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, we can be sure that the Disciples of Dawn made their presence felt throughout our temple. Not only dismantling our Havoc and Rhyno but they made it perfectly clear anyone can get hurt when they are around. By targeting our commentary team member Excalibur and putting him ferociously through a table. This was noted to be even more brutal than the attack let on by the fact Excalibur was forced to retire from in-ring competition early in his career due to health and medical issues. Specifically, his many concussions and the fear that if he suffered anymore his brain would start to deteriorate. There are so many questions the Dawn brought and due time we hope to find answers. One thing is for sure Havoc and Rhyno are not the kinds of men to lay down without a fight.

Season 1 Episode 12
March 11, 2015
Lucha Underground Temple
Official Commentary Team
The show opens up with the team shouting out their commentary brother, Excalibur wishing him a speedy recovery. While at the same time informing the audience that he has effective immediately tendered his resignation. Stating "hostile work environment" as the reason. Matt Striker sympathizes with him, while Vampiro states "when
you step foot in the temple, you know what you are signing up for....violence." After the team recaps the events of Retribucion, Vampiro asks what's up first as he did not get his show notes. With that Matt Striker stands up grabs a microphone and heads for the ring to address the believers. Hello everyone my name is Matt Striker and on behalf of the Lucha Underground staff, I would like to welcome you to the temple. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have been tasked to inform you Mr. Cueto will not be here tonight. However, he has made his intentions clear tonight and we still have a stacked card. With the debut of
"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero (crowd cheers) and of course the Royal Celebration of our new Lucha Underground Champion Scorpio Holloway (crowd boos). So without further ado Melissa Santos TAKE IT AWAY! W/ (0-2) (0-1)(The Man They Call) Cage went toe-to-toe with Ultimo Ninja to start off the night. After a decent comeback from Ninja, it was finally Cage with his hand raised at the final bell, after a Dominator put down the tag team specialist for the 3 count.
Rating: 47
After the match with the support of the crowd there seemed to be some taunting from Cage towards El Hijo del Ninja. Egging him on to get in the ring with The Machine.
Highlights of the war at Retribucion between King Cuerno and Drago were played. When the video stops on the screen appears "NEXT WEEK: ONCE AND FOR ALL" The believers are in for a treat next week as this will be our Main Event.
The motorcycle engines roar throughout the building as the DoD make their way to the ring for their first official Lucha at the Temple.
W/ (0-0) (1-3) Although Los Magnificos made it to the semi-round of our Dario Cueto Invitational from the very beginning of this lucha, the DoD made it very clear they aren't here to wrestle. Which significantly effected the match quality as they absolutely mauled the two young high fliers. This more closely resembled a bar brawl. Finally the giant
blonde one they call "Siege" ended it with a clothesline from hell.
Rating: 17
After the match the Disciples of Dawn tossed Los Magnificos out of the ring, with "Siege" and "Gunner" still in the ring they sent the "Prospect" to the announce table, of course spooking away the commentary team who at this point began to run away. The Prospect instead grabbed a microphone and handed it to Gunner.
"Let me guess you want an explanation...Well how about this F&%$ You. The DoD doesn't give explanations. We do whatever we want, to whomever we want, whenever we want. That's the problem with the "kind of people" Lucha trash like this *points to Los Magnificos* attract to our beautiful country. We have been established in
California over twenty years and suddenly we start seeing all these illegals (deafening boos) showing up to some "fight club" in Boyle Heights. So instead of calling I.C.E, as the pure-blooded American patriots we are, we made the decision to clean up the streets ourselves." Outcomes Havoc and Rhyno flying through the arena with a purpose, they go right at the DoD and a wild brawl ensues. Right when Havoc and Rhyno look like they might come out on top the numbers game catches up to them. The DoD leave them laid out once again. As they get back on their bikes and ride out. You are now cordially invited to the Royal Celebration of his majesty the King of SoCal Scorpio Holloway.
Scorpio Holloway with the Lucha Underground Gold wrapped around his waist is of course flanked by his person Hit Squad. They enter the temple, which is completely decked out for this momentous occasion. Red, Purples, and Golds everywhere signifying his royalty and the reign that has just begun.
Scorpio Holloway plays up to the crowd who is understandably annoyed by his braggadocious demeanor. After several minutes, he finally grabs the microphone and speaks.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. *With a crooked smile* I told you. See I told you from the first step I took in here, I am the best and I will be on top of the social ladder, as I always am. This Gold right here is befitting for only one man in this temple and that's the King of SoCal. Scorpio Hollo...Without a doubt everyone in the room knew someone had to stop this nonsense. But the man who appeared was quite a pleasant surprise. Johnny Mundo with microphone in hand stands atop the stairs. "Hey King, I like what you did what the place. I just want to make one thing clear, no matter what happened on Night 2, Johnny Mundo
stoled the show on Night 1 of Retribucion. I did not come to the Temple to be a top guy. I came to be THE GUY. So, whenever Dario decides to come back from his sabbatical just know me and him are going to speak. Because I Johnny Mundo am officially next in line. If anyone has a problem with that they can come see me."
Johnny's music plays as Scorpio is left pissed off his moment was upstaged by the Show Stealer Johnny Mundo. (0-0) (1-1) It is now time for the Main Event between "The Pope" and Mascara Dorada. This was always going to be a great one as both men are some of our best ring generals. Mascara Dorada has been here longer, but with his involvement in the Tag Team Invitational he hasn't had a lot of opportunities to show his singles capability. Something he is
definitely looking forward to demonstrate more, especially considering the tension rising between him and his what seems like former friend Sexy Star. The Pope being the newest biggest acquisition for Lucha Underground wants to make a statement tonight with a dub. These two took up the 20 minutes of the show's runtime to have a
great match full of athletic feats from both men. Some highlights would be Dorada hitting an Asai Moonsault to the outside. The Pope, being the showman that he is would not be outdone as the closing sequence saw a multitude of lighting quick reversals from both men, but finally Pope got the upperhand when he whipped Dorada into
the corner and chased right behind him landing a double knee strike (known as the D.D.E) to the back straight into a Black Mass (not Aleister Black's move but instead a Christian Cage Unprettier renamed to fit Pope) for the 1....2..3
Rating: 59
Not 10 seconds after the match did the mysterious duo make their presence known on the top of the stairs.
Without any words the two made their point perfectly clear by the frightening stares they were shooting at Dinero. Mil Muertes and Catrina have locked on to their next target.
The truly frightening thing, with a wicked smile D'Angelo Dinero, The Pope stared back. What could this mean.
In the final scene of the show three men can be seen. The three men, really the world has been wanting to see since last week. As the final checks are being made on board Santo and Blue Demon Jr. turn to look at Chavo. Santo: *translated from Spanish* Mexico will never forget what you did for her. The Guerrero legacy has completed changed in one night. I am proud of you Chavito. Santo kisses Chavo on the forehead, Chavo visibly emotional thanks him, as Santo gets on the plane.
Blue Demon Jr.: *translated from Spanish* We will be back soon, we have a couple of details to iron out in Mexico. Before I get back, I want you to execute Phase 2. Chavo acknowledges Demon's order "yes sir" Demon goes up the stairs to the plane and before he gets in completely he looks down and says "do not fail me Chavo."" With that we roll credits.
Questions for the Believers
1. How do you feel about this new format for the shows?
2. What storyline has most of your intrigue?
3. Announced for next week:

Season 1 Episode 13
March 18, 2015
Lucha Underground Temple
Official Commentary Team
The show opens up in the office of Dario Cueto (noticeably not with The Crew) visibly enraged, but composing himself, as he is being confronted by The Pariah known as Chavo Guerrero.
Chavo explains to Dario he is here on behalf of his Patrones' El Santo and Blue Demon Jr. Almost dismissive of the heinous acts he committed at Retribucion, Chavo calmly states "I am here to collect on the debt you owe."
Dario, flabbergasted at the gall of Chavo responds with "How dare you. You come to my temple and make demands after what you and your handlers did to me? Whatever debts I had, consider my restraint in no retaliating to be the payment."
Chavo, now growing impatient "that isn't how it works, present a payment, or next time you see me it won't be pleasant." Dario leans in and tells Chavo "I have never had a pleasant conversation with a Guerrero. Now get the HELL out of my office!" Chavo stares intensely at Dario before walking out of frame.
Mr. Cueto is left alone in the office. He composes himself, adjusting his suit, slicking his hair, and is seen practicing a smile. He walks to and opens the side door, leading to the Temple and believers. Then proceeds to start the show.
Dario Cueto with microphone in hand welcomes the believers to his temple. He goes over tonight's card making sure to hype up the "Once and for All" Lucha between bitter rivals Drago and King Cuerno.
"Now that the formalities are out of the way, I want to excuse my absence from the show last week. At this time, I would like to address the comments made by Johnny Mund..."
Right on cue Johnny Mundo's music hits
"Sorry for the interruption "Big C" I saw you were going to talk about me, so I figured, you'd want the Show Stealer himself to be out here for it."
Dario, of course, already not in a good mood, is frustrated with the interruption.
"You know what Mundo, I have not had the best few weeks" Johnny interjects with a smile "oh I know. I was at Retribucion."
Dario not pleased says "Show Stealer" I will advise you go to the back and wait till I am finished. Because when I am. You have a match. While I am at it, here is another piece of advice, St. Mary's Memorial Hospital is the nearest one, only 3 miles south. Just in case."
With this revelation Johnny Mundo smirks at Dario and says "I like to hydrate before a match anyways" he then rolls out and walks to the back.
Almost like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as soon as Johnny Mundo is out of sight, Dario turns into an upbeat version of himself.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY!!! (The crowd gets hyped) Retribucion despite anything, was a magnificent showcase for Lucha Underground.
It did not hurt that it made me ALOT of money. So naturally I, like many of you believers, look towards the future, and ask "what is next?" the answer to that question is this.
Next week in MY TEMPLE we will present...
AZTEC WARFARE!!!!
(The crowd cheers) For those unfamiliar, this Lucha will pit 20 of our competitors versus one another. To determine who is the most dominant, and of course to showcase violence!!
This Lucha isn't about luck, simply "tossing your opponent over the top rope" will not suffice. I want to see violence. Eliminations can only come from pinfall or submission.
Of course if someone cannot defend themselves and need a referee to bail them out by stoppage, than they have no business being in my ring continuing the match.
See I am not just a great businessman, but a fair one as well. That is why the winner of my AZTEC WARFARE WILL BE CROWNED THE NEW #1 CONTENDER FOR THE LUCHA UNDERGROUND CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!
Dario's music hits as he walks off back into his office.
W/ Johnny Mundo vs Monsta Mack w/Dan Mafia Maff (3-3) - (0-1)
Matt Striker: "Welcome everyone to Lucha Underground, as we get our first chance to speak, we jump straight into a match made minutes ago by Mr. Cueto."
Vampiro: "Matt, we all saw how this match was put together, after the blatant disrespect shown to Dario by Johnny Mundo. Brother I gotta say, after last week, with Mundo interrupting the King's Royal Celebration, it seems he isn't lacking in the disrespect department."
This matched played out very cat and mousey with Monsta Mack wanting to bring the action closer, allowing him to perform his power-based offense. Although Mundo was on the run, you never got the sense he was in trouble, at any point during. This truly is a different level of Johnny Mundo.
Mundo picks up the victory after a missed move leaves Mack in a sitting position vulnerable. Johnny debuts a new move, currently unnamed, but is a running knee smash that lays Monsta Mack flat out for the 1.2.3.
Rating: 45
Immediately after the match Mafia Maff rolls in to attach Johnny, who is one step ahead, as he times it just right to hit Maff with a running knee smash too, leaving both members of Da Hit Squad laid out. When Mundo gets to the entranceway to do a final pose for the crowd, he is hit from behind with a title belt.
It is his majesty Scorpio Holloway, who clobbers Mundo with the Lucha Underground belt. With that one cheap shot to the back of the head, he is able to leave Johnny out cold, as he stands over his body posing with the title above his shoulders.
Sexy Star is shown in the hallway doing some lite stretching. All of a sudden, she is startled by Dario Cueto. She takes the opportunity to ask *translated from Spanish* "Buenas noches Senor Cueto, I wanted to ask about Aztec Warfare. Will women be permitted to take part in this match?"
Dario is a little take a back responding with "Of course. I have stated on many occasions, we do not discriminate in the temple" Sexy Star is pleased with this answer and she proceeds to say "in that case I would like to decl...." She is cutoff by her once best friend Mascara Dorada.
"Mr. Cueto. We have only really spoken when I was first brought into the temple. I have not had the opportunity to prove myself, as I was saddled with this loser *gestures towards Sexy Star* Mr. Cueto I want, no demand a place in your Aztec Warfare. Because if violence is what you truly want, then that is what I shall bring you."
Dario grins "I like your forwardness Dorada, I'll tell you what, you are officially in Aztec Warfare as one of the 20 competitors. I only ask that when you see Johnny Mundo and you will see him, that you show him how forward you can be."
Dario is clearly pleased with himself and begins to walk away, when he is stopped by Sexy Star "I was going to ask to be in Aztec Warfare as well." Cueto responds "My apologies, I had not realized. Unfortunately, that was the last spot. You should have been more direct."
Dario again begins to walk away, when he is shoved against the wall "is this forward enough for you?" exclaims Star. "Fine." says Dario unamused by the situation.
Sexy Star lets go as Dario pats himself down "Like I said, there are no more spots, but I will give you a unique opportunity next week. You will compete in a Lucha, if you win, you will be entered into Aztec Warfare.
Sexy Stars nods her head in approval, she shifts her body language into one of determination , as she knows she will likely have to pull double duty if she not only wants to compete in but win Aztec Warfare.
Pentagon Jr. vs Taya Valkyrie (2-2) - (0-0)
Pentagon Jr. makes his way to the ring, where Taya Valkyrie awaits him. Unfortunately, for Taya, whom has not had the best showcase in LU as of date with two losses under her belt in the Women's division.
She is now standing in front of one of the most dangerous men to grace the temple. Considering the names in Lucha Underground that is saying something.
Pentagon dominated most of the offense in the match. With a few hope spots by Taya to try and keep up with him. It all came to a close when Pentagon delivered the Fear Factor for the 1.2.3.
Rating: 22
Immediately after the match Pentagon grabs a microphone and addresses the believers for the first time since burning Rey Fenix. *Translated from Spanish* "Fenix! I heard you were let out of the hospital. I am shocked that the doctors would let you out so soon.
Considering the smell of your face and mask, as the fire melted them until they were seemingly one in the same. I can only imagine the shock and horror your wife experienced when she saw your disfigured face for the first time. (Crowd boos)
Never mind that Fenix, I also heard one more thing. That you want another match with me....Next week....I ACCEPT!!!!
(Crowd cheers) But. (Crowd boos) "On one condition." (Pentagon calling back to when Fenix made a condition before he fully accepted the Ciero Miedo match)
When I beat you again. AND I WILL BEAT YOU AGAIN. You must, without hesitation or question, follow all orders given by me. Next week, I will meet you in the middle of this ring in front of these weak-minded people. To see if you are man enough to accept my condition.
POR QUE YO SOY PENTAGON JR. CIEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MIEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The next exhibition match is between two teams both filled with multi-generational luchadores. In the ring standing already are the HSN. The newly minted Garza grabs a microphone. Honor. Respect. Pride.
These are the core values my family holds true. With my families' blessing I am no longer El Hijo del Ninja, but now carry the legacy of my family moving forward in the name of Garza.
For people like Dr. Wagner and his knuckle-dragging family, they couldn't understand the meaning of these words. Just like you all. *Points to the believers in the crowd* eliciting boos.
That is exactly what I mean. See we come from a legendary family in Mexico, but what happens when we decide to give back and wrestle in front of you campesinos, we get what? Boos? That's pathetic. We are only here to pay our dues to our family.
Once that is done. We will go back to the lavish lifestyles that we are accustomed to. One of luxury, money, and beautiful women. Something you bums can only dream of.
But, until then we will shine like the stars we are. While eliminating trash like Dr. Wagner and the bum that lost his name "Horus" (eluding to the fact El Hijo de Rey Misterio lost his name in a AAA PPV) along the way.
Ultimo Ninja grabs the microphone puts it to his mask and says nothing. Dropping the microphone, while waving his finger.
Hombres Del Sol Naciento (HSN) vs Legado de Lucha (LDL) Garza and Ultimo Ninja vs Dr. Wagner Jr. and Horus (3-1) - (0-1)
Legado de Lucha were none too pleased, after hearing the words said about them before their entrance. The LDL hit the ring and brawled at first with the HSN, all before the bell had even rung.
The referee was on the brink of calling off the contest, but was able to corral the teams, just long enough to get the contest underway.
There was not much in the way of psychology for this match, at least not in the traditional American style of tag team matches. This was more akin to the faction warfare of the WWF Attitude era.
Straight up two teams that do not like each other, wanting to hurt each other, whether they get a pinfall in the process does not matter to either.
The finish came when, out of the view of the referee Garza lowblowed Horus leading to the combo of La Sombra DDT from Garza, who then tagged in Ultimo Ninja for Moonsault de Brillo. Leading to the 1.2.3. After Garza ran to the corner to hold off Dr. Wagner.
Rating: 41
Hype Package for Mil Muertes and Catrina, the former of which will be in Aztec Warfare next week.
After the commercial break standing in the ring are our Lucha Underground Tag Team Champions Rhyno and Son of Havoc. With a microphone in Rhyno's hand. The crowd is cheering on Rhyno, who visibly shaking with so much adrenaline.
After some time of this, he opts instead to hand the microphone to Havoc. "The War Machine loves you guys so much, but he's been filled with rage this whole past week, as he just wants to get his hands on a certain group. See if Rhyno says what he truly wants to it would not b....."
Rhyno snatches the microphone "DOD GET OUT HERE NOW YOU PU@#$!%"!!!!!! (crowd cheers)
Noticeably not with their bikes, appearing from the back are the Disciples of Dawn. Not in much of a rush to walk down the stairs of the temple, instead "Gunner" Jay Bradley with microphone in hand begins to speak "See, you boys really should mind your manners.
We were in the back enjoying our dinner and discussing some club business and now you are currently interrupting that. What do you want?" Havoc managed to get a hold of the mic again "What do we want?!?!....We wan..."
Again, Rhyno snatches the microphone "GET DOWN HERE YOU PU@#$!%"!!!!!!" (crowd cheers once more) Unfazed Gunner says "Hey Sockface. Muzzle your dog. Before we have to come down there and do it. From what we can tell, you two seem to be upset about being put down at Retribution.
And yes, I said I said Retribution because that's the American way to say it. Despite what a may seem we have no beef with you. In fact, you "brothers" seem like you can fit in with the DoD well, provided you take that ridiculous Lucha trash off of your face, Sockboy.
Have some "pride." Havoc wrestles the mic away from Rhyno again, retorting "Oh I got pride, proud I am not a piece of garbage like you three. You come here spewing all this hate, but you three are nothi.....Rhyno attempts to snatch the microphone away, this time Havoc pulls away and yells
"MATTER OF FACT, I AM SICK OF TALKING GET DOWN HERE YOU PU@#$!%"!!!!!!" (crowd erupts) After a few seconds the DoD just smirk and walk to the back.
Hype Video of the Main Event of the evening Drago vs King Cuerno. Detailing the events that have led up to the
"Once and for All"
Matt Striker: "Ladies and Gentlemen it is now time for your Main Event of the Evening!" Vampiro: "Once and for all bro, this is going to be incredible!" Matt Striker: I am being informed now that due to their grudge match at Retribucion ending in controversy this Lucha will now be LAST LUCHADOR STANDING!!!" With that take it away Melissa Santos!!!
The Following Lucha is our Main Event of the Evening and is a LAST LUCHADOR STANDING MATCH!
Introducing First from the Highlands of Guerrero, Mexico KINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG CUERNOOOOOOOOOO
AND HIS OPPONENT
From the Inframundo, DRAGOOOOOOOOO
Drago vs King Cuerno (2-1) - (2-3)
Finally, we are here at the Main Event. Just coming off the news of Dario surprising the temple turning this matchup into a Last Luchador Standing. With this being the first presentation of this kind of match for LU. These two went out there to Steal the Show.
Whether it be that they wanted to feel one another out or the fact that they were preparing for a normal match throughout the week, the match started off at a slow pace. With the two trading holds and simply applying pressure to wear the other one out.
These two obviously hate each other, but deep down they both have to respect the fact that putting down the other man for a 10 count will not be an easy feat tonight. The action inevitably spilled out to the floor.
With King Cuerno getting the upperhand for the moment, whipping Drago with camera/production wires that laid nearby. Cuerno was able to drag the Dragon Spirit all around the ring "showcasing his trophy" to the world. This was his first mistake, as he lost focus allowing Drago to turn the tables around.
Unfortunately, came the part of the match that derailed the momentum and lost the crowd. Drago, after gaining the upperhand, jumped up onto the barricade, that separated the floor from the fans. Later he said the barrier was covered in soda a fan spilt.
Nevertheless, he slipped off the barrier very obviously, he recovered only to go up there again to attempt his Moonsault Plancha only to then slip and fall attempting the maneuver. Cueno was able to catch him, preventing a potential major injury.
This seemed to throw both men out of sync, which led to the finish after setting up a stacked tables, both men worked their way up to a separate area, next to the second deck of fan seating. King Cuerno set up for the Thrill of the Hunt onto the tables.
At the last moment Drago countered into a Vuelo de los Dragones his flip over DDT causing both men to go through the tables in a HOLY SH@# moment.
The crowd rose instinctively as the referee began his count 1.........2...........3............4..................5..............6.............7 (no movement from both men)...............8..(little movement)...........9..............(movement from one man)..............10 *ding ding*
Melissa Santos announces "Your winner of this match and the last Luchador standing.....DRAGO!!!!!" Yes at the very last moment Drago was able to ironically use a barricade to just barely prop himself up, long enough to be declared the winner before then collapsing.
Leaving the final visual of the show as both men laying out, having given it there all. While simultaneously showing how even these two men truly are.
Rating: 20
The scene opens up with a man opening the door to a roof we recognize this man to be
Dragon Lee, a young upstart who has made a handful of appearances in the temple
He is seen approaching two hooded figures. When approached by Lee they ask for his scouting report. Lee gives a rundown on the events since Retribucion. He primarily focuses on tonight's Main Event. After finishing giving the details of his report.
One of the hooded figures simply says "Good. Everything is going to plan." While the second figure is upset "I've only been back to the United States for a few hours since my last "visit" and I am already to go back home, this place is miserable."
Dragon Lee agrees while laughing, I miss home as well I can't believe I've been on the mission this long....The hooded figures seemed unamused as Lee gets the hint and says "But I do what I must" as he stops talking.
Both men move forward slowly taking off their hoods, in unison they say....
