The first Barry Scott (RIP) video of the AEW era as I wanted his voice to add to the gravitas of this important event. The beginning of the video should show bloody wrestlers, but with black and white so that the blood is not apparent, but that will shift back to color by the end of the video as the big matches all get time in the opening video, with words about bloody valentines and massacre are fit into the wording. After the video the commentator table (Tenay/Callis/Ranallo) promote the big card in front of the HUGE crowd of 18545 people!

Match #1: Beer Money vs. Hernandez/Matt Morgan vs. The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus/Doug Williams) vs. The World Elite (Eric Young/Rob Terry)

Additional Information: Winning team will get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Champions on the next episode of AEW Dynamite

Notes for match: The wrestlers were specifically told to keep this as a tag team match until the finish of the match using tags and only have two wrestlers in the ring at one time.

Notes about the match: No question, Rob Terry was the weak link in this match! Eric Young did a great job basically running this match from the ring apron as the leader of the World Elite as the two teams from the World Elite kept tagging only with each other leaving Beer Money and Hernandez and Matt Morgan to tag only each other making this almost like an eight man tag. The finishing sequence saw almost everyone fighting outside, when Hernandez dived out on everyone (including his own partner). In the ring Eric Young was left with Robert Roode, and managed to get the tainted victory when he rolled Roode up and grabbed a fistful of tights.

Result: In a decent match, Eric Young and Rob Terry defeated The British Invasion, Hernandez and Morgan and Beer Money in 13:44; when Eric Young pinned Robert Roode with a handful of tights

Grade: 57

AEW X-Division Championship

Match #2: X-Division Championship: The Amazing Red © vs. Consequences Creed vs. Homicide

Notes for match: This match should focus on high spots.

Notes about the match: It cannot go unnoticed just how much The Amazing Red stood out in this match as he absolutely carried the match with his high spots. I really wanted this match to not be the typical triple threat that essentially is just a singles match with the third person watching the action, which is what I conveyed to Pat Kenney but my vision was not exactly met. With that said, the feud between Homicide and Consequences Creed was worked into the match though as Red and Creed mostly worked together to keep Homicide out of the way, before they had a few minutes to work against each other. The finish saw Homicide return to the action and take Red out of the action momentarily so that he could focus on Creed. That almost resulted in a pinfall for Creed, but a fired up Homicide put him down with Da Gringo Killa, but then walked right into a Code Red that allowed Red to retain the X-Division Championship.

Result: In a decent match, The Amazing Red defeated Homicide and Consequences Creed in 12:38 when The Amazing Red pinned Homicide with a Code Red. The Amazing Red makes defence number fifteen of the AEW X-Division title.

Grade: 51

Match #3: Abyss/Team 3D vs. Bob Holly/Raven/Rhino

Notes for match: I wanted this match to go a bit longer, but Raven flat out said to me that he didn’t think his stamina level was enough for him to go much longer so we shortened this match…

Notes about the match: …and to be honest, I can’t complain about that choice as this match turned out pretty good at the length. It was intended to be a wild brawl with action everywhere. Tables, chairs, and assorted other weapons got involved, but the story came down to Abyss pulling out his bag of thumbtacks which is when Dr. Stevie got involved with a Stevie-kick. That shook Abyss, but he fired back with a Black Hole Slam…which left him open for Rhino to connect with a Gore!

Result: In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Raven, Bob Holly and Rhino defeated Abyss and Team 3D in 8:12 when Rhino pinned Abyss with a Gore following interference from Dr. Stevie.

Grade: 65

Paul Heyman once again will try to get through his announcement about the X-Division, and actually will get through announcing that at AEW Dynamite there will be a six man tag team match featuring The Amazing Red, Consequences Creed at the debuting Super Crazy against Homicide, Kid Kash, and James Maritato…but he will then be interrupted by The Beautiful People who will complain about their lack of TV exposure lately….and at the word exposure Rhett Titus will show up and start to complain about being forced to have a match and finally Heyman will just tell them all to stop talking and to get out of his office as the scene ends.

Match #4: Christopher Daniels vs. D’Angelo Dinero

Notes for match: Without going overboard, the commentators should make sure to emphasise the recent wins these two men picked up after ‘accidental low blows’ so as to make the fans think that it is foreshadowing for the end of this match.

Notes about the match: I had high hopes for these two men, and I think they more then delivered. Dinero is an interesting case as I think there is a lot of untapped potential there and provides an opportunity where we might be able to do more with him then WWE with him becoming a star for us. This match itself went back and forth with both men having opportunities to shine, but the finish saw Daniels fake suffering a low blow from Dinero. Hebner got in between the two men to berate Dinero, which gave Daniels the opportunity to get an Angels Wings to pick up the victory on Dinero and then he quickly left the ring while tapping his head to point out his intelligence.

Result: In a good match, Christopher Daniels defeated D'Angelo Dinero in 13:21 by pinfall with an Angel's Wings.

Grade: 72

Taz interviews Larry Sweeney, Hamada, and Awesome Kong about Kong being barred from ringside and while Sweeney looks upset, Hamada finally does speak to confidently state, as well as she can, that she will win tonight on her own!

AEW Women's Championship

Match #5: AEW Womens Championship: Hamada © vs. Tara

Referee: Earl Hebner

Notes for match: The only one allowed at ringside was ODB to ensure that this would be a one on one match.

Notes about the match: I knew that this match was going to be fighting a couple of factors. First off, Tara was very angry at me about being asked to put over Hamada who she did not consider at her level. Truthfully, the fans would agree with that statement, which was the second problem. I asked Tara to set that aside and try to help get Hamada over with the fans, which was also why I wanted this to come down to just the two wrestlers. In the end they managed to go out there and have a decent match, and with Hamada getting the victory over Tara we took our first real step towards getting Hamada more over with the fans.

Result: In a decent match, Hamada defeated Tara in 13:05 by pinfall with a Sitout Scoop Slam Driver. Hamada makes defence number two of the AEW Womens title.

Grade: 56

AEW World Tag Team Championship

Match #6: AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Motor City Machine Guns © vs. The Band (Kevin Nash/Scott Hall)

Notes for match: Kevin Nash should be kept strong even in defeat; at ringside on one side will be Mick Foley and Sting, on the other will be Sean Waltman. None of them should get involved in the match though outside of cheering and at times having some words at each other (which should be kept to the minimum).

Notes about the match: Here we go, one of the most important matches in AEW history. The stakes were mostly backstage though. I brought the Band together in AEW partially because Dixie had already got us moving towards that point, and two, was to milk whatever remaining overness they have left for al its worth. They are a pain politically, a pain backstage, and that is not even getting into whatever addiction problems they might have. While they have been a problem backstage at this point at least they have been keeping sober. But this was the first time I was really asking them to put someone over, and the complaints were loud and clear. And yet this is not WCW, this is not The Clique, I am their boss, they are my employees and I told them they were going to be losing here. I had hoped that Nash would be more okay with that after he had worked with these men earlier as part of Paparazzi Productions, but he still complained. As I have more long-range plans for him, I asked that Hector work with the guys to keep him protected and that Scott Hall would be the one to lose. He complained. I told him tough and to get out there and make Shelley and Sabin look good. What ended up happening was that even thought they complained about it, and even though they are not the workers they once were (makes all the jokes about Nash you want here) this match did actually turn out pretty good as the fans were into it, and Hall and Nash did actually work to get the Guns over. The finish of the match saw Shelley reverse the Edge into a Crossface and Hall actually tapped to really put Shelley over!

Result: In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Motor City Machine Guns defeated The Band in 12:35 when Alex Shelley submitted Scott Hall with a Crossface. The Motor City Machine Guns make defence number two of the AEW World Tag Team titles.

Grade: 59

After the match Scott Hall should look like he is going to get a cheap shot in, when Foley and Sting will get into the ring. The Band will retreat and Foley will get on the microphone and issue a challenge to the Band for a tag team match for Dynamite which will be accepted setting up the Main Event of Dynamite.

Match #7: Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson

Notes for match: While Court was the road agent for this match I took the time to sit down with all three men because I really wanted to make sure they understood the story that I wanted them to tell as I have very specific plans for this feud going forward.

Notes about the match: We brought the elaborate old style microphone dropping from the ceiling entrance for Mr. Anderson to AEW. Angle did not allow it to continue though as he attacked Anderson to get this match, this fight, started. That was the story I asked Angle to tell in this match as he was kept attacking Mr. Anderson to the point that Mark Johnson had to keep separating them. Of course that allowed Mr. Anderson to get in cheap shots to take over which was mostly how this match went. Angle would take control, and Mr. Anderson would do something to get separation, and then would take back over cockily. The end of the match saw Angle reverse a Mic Check into an Angle Slam to get the victory.

Result: In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Kurt Angle defeated Mr. Anderson in 17:38 by pinfall with an Angle Slam.

Grade: 77

After the match Kurt Angle should celebrate, just to have Mr. Anderson drop him with a shot below the belt. Johnson will try to interfere, and Mr. Anderson will punch him and knock him out, and will then get a few more shots in on Angle, before pulling him to his feet to drop him with a Mic Check. Mr. Anderson will then pull Johnson to his feet and drop him with a Mic Check. Security will come out and Mr. Anderson will attack them, before getting another shot in on Angle as well before finally walking away.

Match #8: Desmond Wolfe vs. Jeff Hardy

Additional Information: Winner will challenge for the AEW World Championship at AEW Lockdown in April. No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere.

Notes for match: The wrestlers were told to go out there and treat this like a car crash with the action going all over the arena.

Notes about the match: My initial concern about a styles clash from these two at AEW Revolution put to rest, I was willing to let these two go out there and try to do more tonight. The end result as a success as far as I was concerned, even if Jeff Hardy was not happy with me when I told him that he would be losing tonight. The action was intense between the two men, with Wolfe trying to do as much damage as possible to the arm of Jeff Hardy. This played into the stunt bump that came at the finish of the match as Jeff Hardy had Wolfe down, and he was climbing up the side of the set to fly off, but was so slow due to the injured arm. When Hardy finally flew off with the Swanton (a name I truly don’t like sigh) Bomb, Wolfe moved out of the way and Hardy crashed and burned. Wolfe dragged him out of the (safely) collapsed part of the stage and locked on the London Dungeon and Jeff Hardy submitted to give Wolfe the huge victory!

Result: In a superb match, Desmond Wolfe defeated Jeff Hardy in 12:46 by submission with a London Dungeon.

AEW World Championship

Match #9: AEW World Championship: AJ Styles © vs. Samoa Joe

Notes for match: AJ Styles will come out with Ric Flair following behind him, but Styles should look like he is reluctant to have Flair there. These two were told to go out there and let this match be a spectacle as it was a crowning achievement for two homegrown stars.

Notes about the match: As part of taking this match to the spectacle level they started off slowly, and I think that was one of the reasons this match did not reach the same level of excellence as some of the other matches of the evening. Things did pick up around the five-minute mark when Styles came flying over the ropes with a Fosbury Flop, but Joe moved out of the way. Styles still managed to land on his feet but he was unbalanced and Joe grabbed him from behind and threw him headfirst into the ring post! This was a key moment, and part of the reason that Flair was out there, as this was the first time someone was told to juice in AEW history. All the way back to when I took over this company and came up with the name for tonight’s event I knew I wanted to make sure that we saved the first blood for this show. There were a couple of close calls, but my plans came true, and here Styles bladed on the outside as Flair checked on him and Joe was in the ring. When Joe threw Styles back into the ring the camera caught the blood, and Joe quickly went to work on it. Again, perhaps this took away from the match a bit, as Joe focused on opening that cut up to make sure that Styles had as much a crimson mask as possible. The story of the match from there was Joe dominating, but each time he went for a pin fall Styles managed to find a way to kick out! Finally it looked like Styles may have been playing rope a dope a bit as he went off with a series of moves, but then his steam ran out and Joe put him down and then had to fight to put him on the top turnbuckle. The struggle continued until Joe caught him with an Enziguri and then set him up for the Muscle Buster….but Styles slipped out of it and reversed it into the Styles Clash! ONE….TWO…THREE!!

Result: In an exceptional match, AJ Styles defeated Samoa Joe in 18:25 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. AJ Styles makes defence number twenty-two of the AEW World title.

Grade: 70

After the match both me will be exhausted, but Flair will get into the ring with the AEW World Championship to celebrate with a very blood AJ Styles. Joe will then climb to his feet and there will be tension….before he finally shakes hands with Styles, and then will wrap the belt around the waist of the Champion and raise his arm to celebrate as the show ends.

Great show for a sellout crowd in Atlanta! I especially loved the Main Event and the class shown by Joe when he raised Styles hand. I mean the guy almost bled out for the match he did deserve the respect! The Amazing Red still as dominate as ever and the tapout by Scott Hall were some other things that stood out for me. Can't wait for Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite #7

Location: Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, AL

Attendance: 3900 (SELL OUT!)

TV Rating: 0.32 (+0.01)

Dynamite will begin with the very rare video that will look back at the X-Division Championship match from AEW Blood & Guts, and then it will end with a promised tribute to the X-Division in the next six weeks.

Match #1: Consequences Creed/Super Crazy/The Amazing Red vs. Homicide/James Maritato/Kid Kash

Referee: Mark Johnson

Road Agent: Raven

Notes for match: Most of these men can take to the sky (still), so they were given the leniency to do that while Maritato said he would mostly stick to the ground using his superior mat skills to provide a contrast. There was also a plan in order to keep the storyline focus on the history between Creed and Homicide.

Notes about the match: Well, I could not help but note that some of these wrestlers were definitely starting to look their age as they were not quite the stars that we remembered from the past. While there was an initially warm welcome for the returning (former ECW) stars, that faded as the match went along. Fortunately, The Amazing Red put on his second amazing performance of the week and he managed to keep the fans engaged long enough that we were able to get to the ending where it was just Homicide and Creed in the ring and Homicide had levelled Creed with a Lariat. He took too long badmouthing him though, and when he went for Da Cop Killa he was surprised as Creed managed to actually roll him up for the three count!!

Result: In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Super Crazy, The Amazing Red and Consequences Creed defeated Homicide, James Maritato and Kid Kash in 12:27 when Consequences Creed pinned Homicide with a quick roll up.

Grade: 55

A video will paly showing what happened during the AEW World Tag Team title match at AEW Blood & Guts before the hype for tonight’s show and the Main Event goes down.

After the commercial a video will air that will recap the events of the six man hardcore match at AEW Blood & Guts and end with the announcement that on the next episode of AEW Dynamite there will be a tag team match between Bob Holly/Rhino and Team 3D.

Match #2: Abyss vs. Damaja

Referee: Earl Hebner

Road Agent: Pat Kenney

Notes for match: Once more we brought Damaja in for jobber duty as he was an easy to hire local worker. Tonight’s mission was for him to put up enough of a fight so that when Abyss defeated him it would help to give him some shine back.

Notes about the match: While I won’t say that Damaja has overly impressed during his recent appearances with us, I also must admit that he has managed to at least put up decent matches. The real highlight was when this match was over though and an angry Dr. Stevie came out and told Abyss that next week he has brought in another client for Abyss to face off “and this one is a real psycho!”

Result: In a decent match, Abyss defeated Damaja in 8:08 by pinfall with a Black Hole Slam.

Grade: 53

An elaborate video package plays as “Playboy” Rhett Titus begins to make his way out from the back, stopping to give a rose to Taylor Wilde on his way to the ring.

Match #3: ‘Playboy’ Rhett Titus vs. Shark Boy

Referee: Brandon Tolle

Road Agent: Brother Ray

Notes for match: This match is out there just to give Titus a match to debut in the ring with, and an opponent to beat.

Notes about the match: I knew there was a chance that the fans were not going to be happy about having two people in a match that they did not care about, but I was hoping that the action would be enough to get the fans involved. The end of the match saw Titus win without too much trouble, but then he struggled leaving the ring holding his “inner thigh” area.

Result: In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Rhett Titus defeated Shark Boy in 6:14 by pinfall with a Frog Splash.

Grade: 33

After a video focused on Hamada’s victory over Tara at AEW Blood & Guts, Larry Sweeney, Hamada and Awesome Kong are backstage talking about the next opponent for Hamada….when Rhett Titus will struggle past and a worried Taylor Wilde will check on him, and promise to come and help him after her match which is next.

Match #4: Melissa Anderson vs. Sarita vs. Taylor Wilde vs. Velvet Sky

Additional Information: Winner will be the #1 Contender to the AEW Womens Championship

Referee: Mark Johnson

Notes for match: These four women were told to focus on telling a story and to try and get the fans involved that way as it had been a while since these women really had an opportunity to shine on our main show like this.

Notes about the match: Melissa Anderson was the one who held this match together as she spent most of the time in the ring, although I have to give Velvet Sky credit for her impressive work in the match. The end of the match saw Anderson and Taylor Wilde fighting outside the ring which led to Sarita and Velvet Sky in the ring by themselves where Sarita was able to pick up the victory and earn the shot against Hamada.

Result: In a decent match, Sarita defeated Taylor Wilde, Velvet Sky and Melissa Anderson in 12:20 when Sarita pinned Velvet Sky with a Double Underhook Powerbomb.

Grade: 51

After a video package on the match between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship at AEW Blood & Guts, we will see “bonus backstage footage” from the show where Joe is greeted by Ric Flair who is proud of Joe for what he did, and then offers to mentor Joe like he is doing for Styles. Here Joe respectfully declines, saying he has had a mentor in the past and it didn’t work so well and now he’s a one man show…and that is when Styles will walk in and Joe will look at him, look at the belt and say “next time Champ” and then walk out leaving Styles and Flair to watch him leave.

Match #5: AEW World Tag Team Championship: The Motor City Machine Guns © vs. Eric Young/Rob Terry

Referee: Earl Hebner

Road Agent: James Maritato

Notes for match: Nothing really to say about this match, the boys knew where things are going the next couple of weeks and so they went out there with that in mind and to try and entertain the fans.

Notes about the match: Poor Rob just looked lost out there, but fortunately he was in there with three pro’s who managed to keep it together long enough for this match to happen. After the match the camera did focus in on Eric Young who looked furious about the loss and the commentators openly questions if Terry would suffer the same fate as Akira Raijin.

Result: In a decent match, The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Eric Young and Rob Terry in 10:17 when Chris Sabin pinned Rob Terry with a Made in Detroit. The Motor City Machine Guns make defence number three of the AEW World Tag Team titles.

Grade: 58

A pre-recorded video will play, which Paul Heyman will acknowledge pointing out that he has been trying to make the same announcement for weeks and keeps getting interrupted. The next six weeks will be dedicated to the X-Division leading to AEW Destination X where AJ Styles will defend the AEW World Championship against the winner of a Battle Royale on the next AEW Dynamite. The Battle Royale will feature form X-Division Champions like Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels, but will also be open to legends of the Junior Heavyweight, Light Heavyweight, and Cruiserweight divisions of the past as Heyman will mention names like Super Crazy, The Amazing Red, Sean Waltman, JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER, and will end with him pointing out that it may feature not only a wrestler named Suicide and Homicide, but one who might as well be called Genocide……and he will then point to the sky and look up.

A video will play on Desmond Wolfe’s defeat of Jeff Hardy, and then Taz will try to interview Wolfe and will bring up the London Dungeon and Wolfe will get angry here and point out that if Taz wants to talk with him about his famous finishing move, then maybe he should do it in the ring like has been recently with other wrestlers: “show some respect to me and I will show up sunshine, but until then I’m out.”

Match #6: Jim Neidhart vs. Scott Steiner

Referee: Brandon Tolle

Road Agent: Paul Heyman

Notes for match: Another match that was just meant to get Scott out there to get some time on television and get a victory.

Notes about the match: It wasn’t until I saw these men out there that I realized just how old I had tilted the end of the show tonight, and it was almost like WCW truly was back. It was impressive at times watching Scott pick the large Neidhart up off his feet with some of his Suplexes, but there was not much more to say about this match outside of that.

Result: In a decent match, Scott Steiner defeated Jim Neidhart in 8:12 by submission with a Steiner Recliner.

Grade: 58

Paul Heyman will be in the ring and will call out Mr. Anderson and talk about the incident from AEW Blood & Guts where Anderson had attacked a referee, and then also referenced Mr. Anderson attacking DDP, and just the general way that Mr. Anderson had behaved since he came to AEW, and now it is time for Mr. Anderson to apologize to everyone for what he had done…or else. After talking a bit Mr. Anderson will look into the camera and will apologize for being an a*shole. At this point Heyman will have enough and will announced that Mr. Anderson has been suspended for 30 days without pay and he needs to leave…now. As Mr. Anderson is being escorted out, he will suddenly be attacked by Kurt Angle, and now security will need to break that up.

Match #7: Mick Foley/Sting vs. The Band

Referee: Earl Hebner

Road Agent: Paul Heyman

Notes for match: I did not expect that these men would be able to last for the normal 20 minutes or so given to a Dynamite Main Event so we shortened the time to 15 so that they would be able to keep from getting winded.

Notes about the match: While the match was about what I expected, the big disappointment coming out of it was the dislocated shoulder that poor Scott Hall suffered. At the end of the match Scott Hall struggled to get Foley up and we’re not sure if that is when the injury occurred, or if Hall gutted it out getting Foley up but it was what it was. The finish of the match saw Kevin Nash injured outside of the ring, and Sean Waltman was freaking out which distracted the referee who went over to check on Nash. This was just when Foley had dropped Hall with the Double Arm DDT but with the referee out of the way Foley went over to see what was going on. When he turned around Hall had recovered and kicked him in the gut, and then the Edge for the victory for The Band.

Result: In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, The Band defeated Mick Foley and Sting in 12:53 when Scott Hall pinned Mick Foley with an Outsider's Edge after a distraction from Sean Waltman.

Grade: 64

A video package will close the show out focusing on the X-Division to hype AEW Destination X and the Battle Royale for next week with the question about who will win and challenge AJ Styles.

Notes for match: Tonight’s show has most of the best and most popular wrestlers confined to the Battle Royale so the rest of the show is going to be working towards that, so I asked these two men to start the show off by working the crowd to get them excited for the rest of the evening.

Notes about the match: I would say that these two did exactly what I wanted them to do by putting on a decent match that got the fans involved without giving too much away. In particular Storm looked really good out there as I continue to realize that I need to figure out a way to do more with Beer Money as I see a lot of potential in them, possibly even as Main Event guys one day!

Result: In a decent match, James Storm defeated Brutus Magnus in 13:29 by pinfall with a Lung Blower.

Grade: 62

A new hype video played for tonight including footage of Jushin Thunder Liger from his previous time in the company as Ranllo and Callis really pushed point the point of who would face AJ Styles for the AEW World Championship at AEW Destination X.

Match #2: Damaja vs. Diamond Dallas Page

Notes for match: As this is going to be our last show in the South East region of the USA for a little bit, it was a final chance for Damaja to earn a pay day and I wanted to give DDP a victory.

Notes about the match: Oh, oh. This was not that good of a match, and I was definitely let down as I thought there was more to be had from DDP. Clearly it looks like DDP will have to be stuck with better opponents if I want to see anything good out of him.

Result: In a poor match, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Damaja in 7:58 by pinfall with a Diamond Cutter.

Grade: 42

We got footage from last week as Taylor Wilde was attending to Rhett Titus (as promised) in the backstage area when Melissa Anderson barged into the room and attacked Taylor Wilde, throwing her into the wall and then threatening Titus as he tried to get up and told him to sit back down before she walked away. An update on this was that Wilde would miss the next couple of weeks due to a possible concussion and AEW just wants to be safe with her.

Another hype video played for El Vagabundo, although it was noted he was not going to be at the show tonight.

Match #3: Eric Young vs. Tomko

Referee: Earl Hebner

Road Agent: Hector Guerrero

Notes for match: There had been a simmering feud involving these two as part of the bigger story going on with the World Elite so I told them to turn this match into a wild brawl.

Notes about the match: These two went out there and had a fight that went around the ring and it was entertaining enough, before Eric Young managed to get the victory after dropping Tomko on his head with a Piledriver.

Result: In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Eric Young defeated Tomko in 7:53 by pinfall with a Piledriver.

Grade: 51

The World Elite gathered in the ring with Eric Young berating Rob Terry for letting the group down last week, but offering him a chance to avoid the same fate as Akira Raijin. “You have your Feast or Fired Briefcase. Now one of these men (pointing at Williams and Homicide) is going to win the Battle Royale tonight to earn the World title shot at Destination X, but next week…you are going to hand that briefcase over to the other man so that he can challenge for the X-Division Championship. You have one week to think it over!”

Match #4: Bob Holly/Rhino vs. Team 3D

Referee: Mark Johnson

Road Agent: D’Lo Brown

Notes for match: Another match that was set up to be nothing more than a wild brawl.

Notes about the match: Alright, important thing to remember, putting matches like these back to back really does not work well with the crowd. While they enjoyed most of the wrestlers in the ring here, it was a bit too much of the same thing back to back. Something I wish I would have thought of earlier in the day before I set the plans for the show.

Result: In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Bob Holly and Rhino defeated Team 3D in 12:50 when Bob Holly pinned Brother Devon with an Alabama Slam after a distraction from Dr. Stevie.

Grade: 58

Taz will be setting up for one of his segments where a wrestler demonstrates their hold as he calls Desmond Wolfe out to do it. But Wolfe gets in the ring and looks at the ‘scrubs’ in the ring and says that all he has about lately is these “great” X-Division wrestlers, where are they? “Come on Taz, give me the respect I deserve. I will give you one more opportunity next week, but I’m out of here.” Wolfe will turn to leave….before turning around and dropping one of the workers in the ring with the Jawbreaker Lariat.

Match #5: D’Angelo Dinero vs. New Jack

Additional Information: Hardcore Match

Referee: Brandon Tolle

Road Agent: Brother Ray

Notes for match: This match will have been hyped for the night as an open challenge from Dinero, that New Jack will accept but only if it can be a hardcore match.

Notes about the match: This match started off pretty good, but then word quickly came back to me that Dinero had sustained an injury. It turned out to be a calf muscle injury and I think it may have ended up slowing things down a bit although Dinero did manage to still get the important victory.

Result: In a decent match, D'Angelo Dinero defeated New Jack in 7:54 by pinfall with a D.D.E..

Grade: 51

Jeremy Borash will be backstage with AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Motor City Machine Guns who will announce their hand picked opponents for AEW Destination X. They will talk about how people who watch Xplosion will know them as Generation Me, but that they would be making their debut next week teaming with the Guns in an eight man tag. They will talk about how they will one day be known as one of the greatest tag teams in the world and the Guns saw a bit of themselves in them and wanted to give them this opportunity.

Match #6: Abyss vs. Sid

Additional Information: Dr. Stevie will come out and introduce his psycho opponent for Abyss…Sid!

Road Agent: Brother D-Von

Notes about the match: The fans were pretty excited to see Sid and I think it lifted this match which I had not expected to be a great match. But it was fun to see these two big men going out there and doing their thing, leading to Abyss getting the victory with a Choke Slam of all things!

Result: In a decent match, Abyss defeated Sid in 8:11 by pinfall with a Choke Slam.

Grade: 57

After the loss, Dr. Stevie will get in the face of Sid who will threaten a Choke Slam of his own when Raven, Holly and Rhino will run out to stop that. This brings out Team 3D and the ring clears, but then Brother Ray will challenge Holly and Rhino for a rematch next week…in a tables match! Again, Dr. Stevie will agree to this match for them even though neither of them looks happy. The segment will end with Sid giving a fist bump to the Abyss and Team 3D.

We will see footage of an angry Kurt Angle confronting Paul Heyman about suspending Mr. Anderson when Angle wanted to get his hands on him. Heyman will yell back that Anderson brought it on himself, and that Angle should take this opportunity to win the Battle Royale tonight and get a shot at the AEW World Championship.

Christopher Daniels is talking about the Battle Royale when D’Angelo Dinero interrupts and the two argue back and forth before agreeing to settle things next week on Dynamite.

Most of the men will be in the ring when Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle get special introductions. Up next will be Brian Kendrick announced, and then Jushin Thunder Liger, and then Sabu. Everyone will be in the ring although anyone who could count would be able to tell that there is only 19 men in the ring…which is when a final man will be announced….

…..RVD!!

Match #7: 20 Man Battle Royale

Participants: ‘Black Machismo’ Jay Lethal, Brian Kendrick, Christopher Daniels, Cody Deaner, Consequences Creed, Doug Williams, Homicide, James Maritato, Jushin Thunder Liger, Kid Kash, Kurt Angle, Matt Bentley, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Samoa Joe, Sean Waltman, Suicide, Super Crazy, The Amazing Red, Yoshihiro Tajiri

Additional Information: Winner faces the AEW World Champion at AEW Destination X

Notes for match: AJ Styles will be on the commentary table for this match

Eliminations: Homicide used the distraction from Rob Van Dam’s entrance to attack Consequences Creed as the camera quickly had to pan in on that action. Creed tried to send Homicide over the top rope by pulling it down when Homicide ran at him, similar to at AEW Revolution, but Homicide stopped his momentum this time and kicked Creed. When Homicide set up for Da Gringo Killa, Creed managed to reverse out of it and used a Back Suplex…to drop Homicide over the top rope to make him the first elimination! While Creed was in shocked celebration, RVD eliminated him which drew boos from the fans. An important elimination was Kid Kash eliminating The Amazing Red, which would lead to an X-Division Championship match being announced between the two for the next AEW Dynamite after Kid Kash was eliminated from the Battle Royale. Samoa Joe was the one with the most eliminations tonight as he managed to eliminate from the match Cody Deaner and his partner Matt Bently after they tried to double team him out of the ring. He also eliminated Kid Kash, Suicide and Doug Williams throughout the course of the match. Fans of ECW got a bit of a treat as Maritato, Super Crazy and Tajiri had a sequence. At one point Tajiri had Maritato locked in the Tarantula (with Maritato outside of the ring). Crazy charged at Tajiri who caught him with mist, dropped the hold to eliminate Maritato, and then put Super Crazy in the same position. After Crazy was eliminated Tajiri came face to face with Jushin Thunder Liger who got him with a Shotei and then eliminated him from the match.

Sean Waltman mostly kept to the background of the Battle Royale, but he did sneak in to help a bunch of guys who worked together to eliminate Liger from the Battle Royale and send him back to NJPW. Out of that sequence, Brian Kendrick hit Sean Waltman with the Sliced Bread which set Lethal up to drop the big elbow on Waltman! Christopher Daniels snuck in and eliminated Lethal after that move, and then tried to eliminate Kendrick. While they fought, Waltman managed to recover and he eliminated Brian Kendrick from the Battle Royale before he dropped to the mat again. Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe worked together now eliminated Waltman, but then Daniels managed to get Angle over the top rope and out of the ring, but Angle did not hit the ground. Instead Angle got back into the ring and picked Daniels up and eliminated him from the match with an Angle Slam. Daniels reached in and grabbed Angle’s ankle though, which allowed Van Dam to eliminate Angle from the Battle Royale. That left Joe to face off against former ECW World Tag Team Champions. RVD mostly let Sabu go toe to toe with Joe, until it came time to eliminate Joe…and then RVD also quickly sent Sabu over the top rope to win the match!

Result: In a decent match, Rob Van Dam won a battle royal in 15:24. The other members of the 'final four' were Sabu, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, with Sabu being the final elimination. Samoa Joe got the most eliminations over the course of the match.

Grade: 67

Rememberin' Rasslin' Round the World: February 2010

Relationships continue to deteriorate in Japan as there are now bad feelings between NJPW and Pro Wrestling NOAH, and NJPW and AJPW as they have all adopted hostile feelings against each other and have no longer agreed not to steal workers from each other. At the forefront of this is the fact that NJPW wanted to sign Akira Raijin/Kiyoshi to an exclusive written contract after his run in TNA/AEW especially after they heard from Yoshihiro Tajiri about how much he enjoyed teaming with Raijin.

Who says you can't go home again? New came out this month that Ed Ferrara of all people is the new booker/head writer for WWE developmental company FCW. This comes at the same time that WWE has recalled Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, and Billy Kidman to possibly help with the transition of half of the FCW roster to WWE. Wrestling callups include: Kaval (the former Low-Ki), Curt Hawkins, Wade Barrett, Duke Rotondo(a), Bryan Danielson and many more. This next generation of talent could be a real nexus for growth in WWE.

OVW Wrestling School was forced to close in February bringing to end an era of a school that has propelled forward some legendary names in the wrestling world. Speaking of legends...

...Terry Funk has announced that he will be retiring in the next few months. No, for real this time.

Match #1: AEW X-Division Championship: The Amazing Red © vs. Kid Kash

Referee: Earl Hebner

Road Agent: Hector Guerrero

Notes for match: These two were told to go out there and try to go old school with their high spots as there was a decent amount of history between these two dating back to the TNA days as Red defeated Kid Kash for his first X-Division Championship back in 2003.

Notes about the match: While not as fast as they once were, these two still managed to have a decent match that seemed to have the fans almost believing that Kid Kash was going to be able to pick up the victory. In the end with Don West cheering him on, The Amazing Red managed to fight back and retained the AEW X-Division Championship.

Result: In a bout that had decent wrestling but little heat, The Amazing Red defeated Kid Kash in 13:12 by pinfall with a Red Star Press. The Amazing Red makes defence number sixteen of the AEW X-Division title.

Grade: 61

The opening video will focus on the surprising debut of Rob Van Dam last week and his victory in the Battle Royale that earned him the World title shot at AEW Destination X. Ranallo and Callis should hype that RVD and Styles would be in the same ring tonight!

Match #2: Robert Roode vs. Rob Terry

Referee: Brian Hebner

Road Agent: Pat Kenney

Notes for match: The story of this match should be on Rob Terry being conflicted about the decision he needs to make tonight about his Feast or Fired briefcase.

Notes about the match: Not as good as Storm against Magnus last week as Terry still has a long way to go to even get to a serviceable level in the ring. In the end it really did not matter though as this was just one small step on the path to the bigger story.

Result: In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Robert Roode defeated Rob Terry in 7:46 by pinfall with a Payoff.

Grade: 43

After the match Rob Terry will be surrounded by the entirety of The World Elite who will ask Terry what his decision is….and Terry will give the briefcase to Doug Williams and it will be announced that Williams will challenge The Amazing Red for the X-Division Championship at AEW Destination X. But that will not be enough for Young who will have everyone attack Rob Terry, who will then be saved by Tomko!

Match #3: Cody Deaner/James Maritato/Matt Bentley vs. Generation Me/The Motor City Machine Guns

Notes for match: Another match about high spots as Generation Me is introduced to AEW Dynamite.

Notes about the match: The fans were not really involved in this match as there was just too many wrestlers they were not connected to, but it was fun to see the Guns and Me on the same side. Rhett Titus did leave his partners part way through the match to head to the back, still complaining about pain in some part of his body. The end saw Sabin pick up the victory and then the four men who will be opponents at AEW Destination X celebrated for the fans enjoyment.

Result: In a poor match, The Motor City Machine Guns and Generation Me defeated Rhett Titus, James Maritato and Deaner & Bentley in 10:49 when Chris Sabin pinned Cody Deaner with a Cradle Shock.

Grade: 54

The Beautiful People will have taken over a camera to complain about not being on AEW Dynamite, and will be interrupted by Larry Sweeney who wants to talk about something.

AJ Styles and Ric Flair will be in the ring joined by RVD and Sabu as they discuss their mat at AEW Destination X. Rob Van Dam will come out and the fans will be excited about him, but as he gets on the microphone and starts talking about how he is the biggest star in AEW and that he can’t wait until Destination X so that AEW can have a “real” world Champion they will begin to boo him. Flair will lose it calling RVD nothing more than a garbage wrestler, and Styles will get in between them, but will end up challenging Sabu to an AEW World Championship match next week.

Match #4: Jacqueline Moore vs. Sarita

Notes for match: This match is designed to give Sarita a bit of a rub on her way to getting a shot at the AEW Womens Championship

Notes about the match: I decided to give Moore a paycheck, and boy was she just as tough as I have been told.

Result: In a terrible match, Sarita defeated Jacqueline Moore in 7:51 by pinfall with a Flying Cross Body.

Grade: 39

Post match Sarita should be attacked by the Beautiful People, but then will surprisingly be saved by the AEW Womens Champion Hamada!

A verbal confrontation between the Band and Mick Foley and Sting will follow with a challenge issued to Sean Waltman to represent the Band as a legend of the light heavyweight division of past in a match at Destination X. When Waltman agrees, Foley and Sting will announce his opponent….

…Brian Kendrick!

A backstage camera will catch Bob Holly and Rhino getting ready for their match and Holly will be explaining he is in this situation because Stevie pays well, “…but what about you, what does he have on you? I’m sure he can’t have that much money, even if Raven is supporting this whole venture with his parents money…” Rhino will just shrug it off and say he doesn’t want to talk about it, while we hype that the tables match is next!

Match #5: Bob Holly/Rhino vs. Team 3D

Additional Information: Tables match

Referee: Brian Hebner

Road Agent: D’Lo Brown

Notes for match: These two teams were told to go out there and have a wild, hardcore match.

Notes about the match: This one went back and forth between the two teams, but in the end it was the experience of Team 3D that got them the victory as they got Holly flat on a table, and then delivered Rhino through Holly and the table with a 3D for the victory!

Result: In a decent match, Team 3D defeated Bob Holly and Rhino in a Tables match in 11:45; Bob Holly was eliminated first, then Brother Devon, and finally Rhino.

Grade: 62

Taz will be standing in the ring with Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal, and Suicide when Desmond Wolfe will make his way out from the back. As Wolfe gets into the ring, Homicide will suddenly pop into the ring and attack Creed and the two men will fight their way to the back. Using the distraction Wolfe will level ‘Black Machismo’ with a Lariat, but when Suicide looks to defend himself Wolfe will drop out of the ring and grab a microphone. “You know what, this is not worthy my time, if you all want to see how my moves work, just watch my matches. But while I have a moment, I want to issue an open challenge to any ‘X Division’ great who wants to show up to Destination X and I will show how great I am on my way to becoming World Champion!”

Paul Heyman will announce the return to Ultimate X with six men competing to get a shot at AEW Lockdown against the AEW X-Division Champion. There will be six qualifying matches beginning next week where it will be James Maritato vs. Super Crazy vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri, and Consequences Creed against Matt Bentley. In the three way dance the man eliminated will be out of changes, whereas the man who is not pinned will get one more shot in a qualifying match.

Match #6: Christopher Daniels vs. D’Angelo Dinero

Referee: Traci Brooks

Road Agent: James Maritato

Notes for match: These two were told to go out there and just have a regular match, but to try and do their best to work around the swollen calf muscle that D’Angelo Dinero was determined to have suffered last week in the ‘match’ against New Jack.

Notes about the match: While this match wasn’t quite as good as the match at AEW Blood & Guts, it was more impressive to see how these two professionals still managed to have a good showing even after the injury that Dinero suffered. There was no low blows, but things did get interesting at the end when Daniels tried to pin Dinero after an Angel’s Wings and only got two. That set up a BME, and again it was only for a two count. Finally Daniels picked Dinero up and dropped him with…an Angle Slam! That was what it took for Daniels to finally get the pin fall.

Result: In a decent match, Christopher Daniels defeated D'Angelo Dinero in 17:43 by pinfall with an Angle Slam.

Grade: 66

As Daniels celebrates to end the show…he will be interrupted by Kurt Angle who will come out from the back and announce that since Mr. Anderson is suspended, and as a former X-Division Champion, Kurt Angle was given the opportunity to pick his opponent for AEW Destination X…..and he settled on Christopher Daniels. “See you at the PPV!”

Overall Show Grade: 67

Notes for match: For perhaps the final time, these three men will be in the ring after their years long feud in ECW. I asked them to go out there and work the crowd, use spots that fans would find familiar, before wrapping it up with a series of fun action at the end, but to leave the crowd wanting more.

Notes about the match: While these three veterans did manage to get the show off to a good start, there was a feeling of disappointment watching these three seemingly go through the motions. There was enough calls backs to past matches that it almost made up for the athleticism that we are used to seeing in the X-Division. Tajiri’s run with us is done for now, and probably for the foreseeable future, but this was a match that I wanted to get out of the way, and it did not take much convincing to get Paul to agree with me about putting this match on.

Result: In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Super Crazy defeated James Maritato and Yoshihiro Tajiri in 13:19 when Super Crazy pinned Yoshihiro Tajiri.

Grade: 58

The recap video will concentrate on the match between Daniels and Dinero the previous week, and then Kurt Angle’s involvement at the end. Hype for tonight’s show will focus on the AEW Championship match between AJ Styles and Sabu in the Main Event.

Match #2: Sarita/Taylor Wilde vs. The Beautiful People (Lacey Von Erich/Velvet Sky)

Notes for match: An ‘eye candy’ match to play to the strengths of Lacey and Velvet, and I am sure that it will get the fans up….to their feet.

Notes about the match: Well, I must admit…these four ladies over delivered out there! The fans may not have cared as much as I expected, but this was actually a pretty good match with Sarita getting the important victory on her way to a title match with Hamada.

Result: In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Taylor Wilde and Sarita defeated The Beautiful People II in 7:35 when Sarita submitted Lacey Von Erich with a La Reienera.

Grade: 57

After the match Taylor Wilde will call out Melissa Anderson, but will get Rhett Titus instead. Before anything could happen there, Melissa Anderson will come out and will get into a fight with Wilde, and when Rhett tries to break it up, he will get tossed down by Anderson, setting Wilde up to get the upper hand until they are all broken up.

A video about the feud between Abyss/Team 3D and Dr. Stevie and his gang will be used to hype up a Battle Royale that will be a dark match at AEW Destination X with the winner getting a shot at the AEW World Championship on the following AEW Dynamite.

Match #3: Consequences Creed vs. Matt Bentley

Additional Information: Winner will join Super Crazy in the six man Ultimate X match at AEW Destination X.

Notes for match: These two were told to just go out there and show off the high spots the X-Division is known for without caring about much more than that.

Notes about the match: There were high spots indeed…but there was not much more. Creed did pick up the victory though and will now be in the Ultimate X, while I continue to wonder if it was really worth the money to sign Bentley to a contract.

Result: In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Consequences Creed defeated Matt Bentley in 7:38 by pinfall with a TKO.

Grade: 32

Samoa Joe will be interviewed by Jeremy Borash, about to make an announcement when he will be interrupted by Christopher Daniels. The two will argue a bit back and forth about the Battle Royale, about the past, about Kurt Angle etc. before Joe walks away to head to the ring for his match

Match #4: Samoa Joe vs. Scott Steiner

Notes for match: Ranallo and Callis will hype how this was a rematch from Xplosion that was set up with video segments filmed for our website with Steiner demanding a rematch and Joe obliging.

Notes about the match: These two have always had a certain amount of chemistry, and this match was no different. This was just a battle between two alpha males, and in the end Joe picked up his second straight victory over Steiner. After the match he grabbed a microphone to announce that he had been given the opportunity, similar to Kurt Angle, to pick his opponent for AEW Destination X and he asked, and was told it would be possible. So at AEW Destination X, Joe will be facing his old friend, the returning X-Division Champion…FRANKIE KAZARIAN!

Result: In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Samoa Joe defeated Scott Steiner in 12:53 by submission with a Coquina Clutch.

Grade: 64

A clip from backstage will play showing Tomko and Rob Terry talking, with Terry thanking Tomko for saving him last week and how they team together going forward against the World Elite.

Brian Kendrick, Mick Foley and Sting will all be talking about The Band, with Kendrick talking about how he could have been competing in the Ultimate X match, but when he was given the opportunity to take on a pioneer like Sean Waltman he could not turn that down. With Foley and Sting having his back, it would be a fair match at AEW Destination X

Match #5: Brian Kendrick vs. Cody Deaner

Notes for match: Another X-Division match where the wrestlers were told to go out there and take to the sky to try and keep the fans entertained as they were only going to care about Cody Deaner so much here.

Notes about the match: As expected, this was not a great match, but it was elevated by the fact that these two men seemed to have pretty good chemistry out there. Kendrick did pick up the victory, all while Sean Waltman was watching from the commentary table getting some digs in at the same time.

Result: In a poor match, Brian Kendrick defeated Cody Deaner in 7:57 by pinfall with a Sliced Bread #2.

Grade: 56

A segment with Taz will air where he is having The Amazing Red show off some of his moves, but will be interrupted by Doug Williams who will come out and offer to take the place of one of the scrubs in the ring to demonstrate the moves. Red will be ready to do the Code Red, but Williams will take Red down and explain that the same thing will happen at AEW Destination X as he will not hit that move, and he will be going down for the three count…new Champion!

Match #6: Generation Me vs. Jesse Sorensen/Sicodelico Jr.

Notes for match: As this was the AEW Dynamite debut of the Buck brothers (in a normal tag) we wanted to bring in some genuine high fliers to compete with, and just told them to go out there and steal the show as they continue to build themselves up on the road to their shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Notes about the match: As the fans are still getting to know Generation Me, and they definitely didn’t know their opponents, it was hard for them to get involved in the beginning, but as the match went on they were drawn to the styles of Generation Me on their way to their big victory.

Result: In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Generation Me defeated Sicodelico Jr. and Jesse Sorensen in 7:33 when Max Buck pinned Jesse Sorensen with a Moonsault.

Grade: 57

Kurt Angle and D’Angelo Dinero will issue a challenge to Christopher Daniels to find a partner for next week.

Notes for match: These two were told to go out there and create a little mayhem while still keeping it within the rules of the match.

Notes about the match: Sabu is getting up there in age and his stamina is not what it once might have been so we had them having a shorter then normal match. And they delivered! Back and forth with AJ Styles managing to walk Sabu through a match that didn't involve using weapons to cover up for lack of ability. This was so much better then I was expecting, and showing why AJ may be the best in the world right now.

Result: In a superb match, AJ Styles defeated Sabu in 15:23 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. AJ Styles makes defence number twenty-four of the AEW World title.

Grade: 76

As AJ Styles celebrates with the AEW World Championship, Rob Van Dam will come out from the back and do his trademark thumb pose before demonstrating what the belt will look like around his waist while Styles will be seething in the ring.

Overall Rating: 68

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Hamada and Awesome Kong defeated Roxxi and ODB in 8:28 when Hamada pinned ODB with a Moonsault. (49)

In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Hernandez and Morgan defeated Jesse Sorensen and Jesse Neal in 8:11 when Hernandez pinned Jesse Neal with a Border Toss. (47)

In a poor match, Desmond Wolfe defeated Sicodelico Jr. in 7:39 by pinfall with a Tower of London. (52)

Notes for match: These two were told to go out there and work the crowd to get the show off to a good start.

Notes about the match: Coming off this match with AJ Styles last week I figured that the reason Sabu had done so well was entirely because of Styles, but instead Sabu actually had another good night tonight. Maybe that was down to his opponent again, but if he keeps this up I might have to talk with Paul and see if we think we should keep him around a bit longer then initially planned.

Result: In a decent match, Sabu defeated James Maritato in 13:19 by submission with a Camel Clutch.

Grade: 59

The opening recap video will center on the AEW World Championship match between AJ Styles and Sabu, before hype turns to the contract signing tonight between Styles and RVD as well as the Main Event with a mystery tag team partner for Christopher Daniels.

Match #2: Cody Deaner/Matt Bentley vs. TNT (Rob Terry/Tomko)

Notes for match: Callis and Ranallo on commentary should make sure to announce that Terry and Tomko have decided to use the name TNT as their tag team name going forward.

Notes about the match: I was not expecting this match to be very pretty, and I was not disappointed as this was just not a very good match at all. Deaner and Bentley continue to show great chemistry when teaming, and I am hoping that TNT will get there as well as we give them more time teaming together.

Result: In a terrible match, TNT defeated Deaner & Bentley in 8:22 when Tomko pinned Matt Bentley with a Choke Bomb.

Grade: 39

After the match Eric Young will show up on the big screen to say that he is not done with Tomko or Terry yet, and that the World Elite would soon be adding another member.

Taz will interview Desmond Wolfe to try and figure out who his opponent was going to be at AEW Destination X, but Wolfe will say he does not know, but heard it was going to be a former Champion, but it would not matter the result would still be victory for Wolfe.

A video package will remind fans of the beef between Taylor Wilde and Melissa Anderson and how Rhett Titus has been stuck in the middle of it.

Match #3: Melissa Anderson vs. Taylor Wilde

Notes for match: Rhett Titus should do his best to stay out of the way until the finish.

Notes about the match: The referee outfit that Rhett had made up for this match was definitely a sight to behold. With that said Anderson and Wilde went out there and gave their best, but the match was really about the story that was being told. Namely that Titus screwed Taylor out of the match at the end with a quick three count!

Result: In a terrible match, Melissa Anderson defeated Taylor Wilde in 8:23 by pin fall after Rhett Titus did a very quick pin fall count

Grade: 41

After the match Rhett will celebrate with Melissa, and then will mock Taylor Wilde who will look to attack him, only to get dropped by Anderson. The two will start to kick at her, but from the back will run ‘Black Machismo’ Jay Lethal to make the save!

Match #4: Homicide vs. Suicide

Notes for match: There was a story that I wanted to be told in this match, so that was the aim they were given and were then told to go out there and work with that.

Notes about the match: Surprisingly the fans actually made this match better than the two competitors in the ring which was not what I was expecting from these two, maybe just a bit of an off night for them. There was a good closing stretch though that set up the key post match moments.

Result: In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Homicide defeated Suicide in 13:13 by pinfall with Da Gringo Killa.

Grade: 51

After the match Homicide was not done as he followed up with a Lariat, and then another Gringo Killa. And another! He wasn’t done yet, but fortunately Consequences Creed came running out and got into a fight with Homicide that finally allowed medical personnel to check on Suicide who was not moving after all the trauma to the neck!

A video package will play that will highlight the similarity in style between the Motor City Machine Guns and Generation Me before it is announced the two teams will have a sit down interview with Mike Tenay the next week.

Match #5: The Amazing Red/Jushin Thunder Liger vs. The British Invasion

Notes for match: Ranallo and Callis will have been hyping all night that Red would have a mystery opponent, and so there will be a bit of a big reveal when Liger comes out to join The Amazing Red.

Notes about the match: While Liger may not be as good as he once was, this was still a pretty impressive showing from him in this match! Interactions between Doug Williams and Red did their job of heating up their story without giving too much away, and then the end was important as Red go the victory over Magnus and not Williams leaving those seeds of doubt about whether Red can defeat Williams or not.

Result: In a decent match, The Amazing Red and Jushin Thunder Liger defeated The British Invasion in 8:27 when The Amazing Red pinned Brutus Magnus with the Code Red

Grade: 67

Taz will have a brief interview segment with Kurt Angle who will hype the tag team Main Event, but will also point out that Mr. Anderson’s 30 day suspension will be over by next week, and Angle will be waiting for Anderson to show up!

The Band will talk about the match at AEW Destination X between Kendrick and Waltman, and will then challenge for a six man tag team match for next week’s AEW Dynamite against Kendrick, Foley and Sting after Nash makes sure that Hall’s shoulder is feeling alright again: “got to make sure you’re ready to do the heavy lifting in that match next week after all….”

Match #6: Abyss vs. Vader

Referee: Brian Hebner

Road Agent: D’Lo Brown

Notes for match: Two ways I was trying to minimize the effects of time on Vader was by having this match be relatively short, and by making sure that what time they were given was a high tempo and wild brawl between these two.

Notes about the match: In my mind when I was thinking about this match, my hope was for it to be modelled somewhat after Vader vs. Stan Hansen from way back at WCW Wrestlewar ’91 and I think they just about delivered what I wanted out of them with Abyss getting another victory over a former World Champion.

Result: In a decent match, Abyss defeated Vader in 5:54 by pinfall with a Choke Slam.

Grade: 62

Dr. Stevie will come out after the match and will reference Abyss defeating former World Champions, but he says Abyss will NOT win the Battle Royale at the AEW Destination X pre-show to get a shot at the AEW World Champion….because he is putting a bounty up on Abyss’ head. $500,000 if someone throws Abyss out of the ring…$1,000,000 if someone ends Abyss’ career!

Larry Sweeney will announce that in two weeks Hamada will be defending the AEW Womens Championship against Sarita and talks about how Hamada will win, while Awesome Kong will just be in the back looking intimidating like usual.

A contract signing for the AEW World Championship match between AJ Styles and RVD at AEW Destination X, but it will fall apart as RVD continues to put over how he will is going to the greatest Champion in AEW history, and Ric Flair (once again accompanying AJ Styles to the ring) will lose his mind, and Styles will have to control him and then RVD will challenge Styles and “his manager” to a tag team match next week with RVD and his partner Sabu. Styles will once again point out that Flair is not his manager, or an active wrestler (“if you’re so great then why are you challenging an retired Legend who you know can’t go anymore?”), but he is sure he can find a partner for next week against RVD and Sabu.

In a response to The Band we will have Brian Kendrick, Mick Foley and Sting agree to the six man tag team match for the next week.

With Angle and Dinero in the ring, Christopher Daniels will slowly announce his partner…finally bringing out Desmond Wolfe!

Match #7:

Additional Information: Christopher Daniels/Desmond Wolfe vs. D’Angelo Dinero/Kurt Angle

Notes for match: Everyone knew that the goal for this match was to try and keep Dinero involved without possibly making his injury any worse then it already was.

Notes about the match: I quite enjoyed this match, which was no surprise with the four men who were in the ring. While Wolfe’s opponent for Destination X is still unannounced, he did manage to pick up another important victory in a string of them since he had a bit of a losing streak to end 2009 and 2010. And Wolfe knew how big this victory was as he made sure to point it out to the fans at the show came to an end. Meanwhile Kurt and Daniels managed to still get in a enough between them to help hype their match, but still leave something for Destination X.

Result: In a good match, Christopher Daniels and Desmond Wolfe defeated D'Angelo Dinero and Kurt Angle in 18:05 when Desmond Wolfe submitted D'Angelo Dinero with a London Dungeon.

Grade: 70
