Tony Schiavone, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan and Eric Bischoff open the show telling us that tonight’s Main Event will feature a match between Ray “The Law” Traylor and The Great Muta with the WCW World TV title on the line.
Schiavone says that tonights episode could become the greatest and most explosive night in the history of our sport…

For the Cruiserweight match we had Mikey Tenay and Chris Cruise replacing Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan at the broadcast booth.
Kid Flash & Mr. JL vs. The Malenko Brothers
In a energetic Cruiserweight bout that had jaw-dropping high-flying and fast-paced moves, The Malenko Brothers defeated Kid Flash & Mr. JL in a 2 vs 2 Cruiserweight match in 10:03 when Dean Malenko defeated Mr. JL by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf.

Fire and Ice vs. Rick Fuller & Roadblock
It’s a hard-hitting powerhouse vs. powerhouse dream match!
The massive 6-foot-10 super-heavyweight Roadblock and the 6-foot-5 325-pound powerhouse “Big” Rick Fuller makes an physically imposing tag team.
The powerhouse duo Fire and Ice (Ice Train and Scott Norton) is an “Unstoppable Force” in WCW. They are stronger and they hit harder than every other tag team in WCW. Scott “Flash” Norton is one of the hugest and strongest men in the history of pro wrestling, a true super heavyweight strongman legend built as a battle tank and his partner Ice Train is a athletic powerhouse.
During the match we also saw Booker T and Stevie Ray watching Fire and Ice from the ramp…
It’s a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners match, with all four wrestlers trying to hit their opponents as hard as possible.
Eventually, Scott “Flash” Norton fought back in kind, leveling Rick Fuller with one of the most devastating Lariats in wrestling history. Norton looks like a main battle tank wreaking havoc. Fire and Ice won the match with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck.
In an hard-hitting match, Fire and Ice defeated Rick Fuller & Roadblock in 4:38 when they defeated Rick Fuller by pinfall with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck.

Eric Bischoff hypes Steve “Mongo” McMichael’s as a legitimate sports star, a former Super Bowl champion and the current top prospect at the WCW Power Plant, because of his size and legit sports background.
“Ever since I was knee high to a midget wrestler I’ve been a wrestling fan and I promise you that you will be too if you watch us or if not you’ll just sit there with a pot belly gut and a beer and watch us or you can watch us and be entertained and I promise you, you’ll be entertained. That’s a guarantee!”
“Mongo” shows us his Super Bowl ring.
Eric Bischoff and Steve “Mongo” McMichaels hypes the main event match between “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan and his old arch rival “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff that will take place at Monday Nitro.
When suddenly…
V.K. Wallstreet interrupts the press conference. He openly expressed his contempt for WCW wearing an anti-WCW T-shirts.
“So this is where the big boys play, eh?”
Vincent Kennedy Wallstreet says that New York is the place to be and that the WCW is just a another backyard promotion. He’s sure that the I.R.S. will be watching him real close, but that’s fine because people will know that V.K. Wallstreet is a real player.
Ray “The Law” Traylor takes a stab at the WWF’s New Generation and calls it the Few Generation. That’s why all stars are here in WCW.
Traylor says he would go head-to-head with V.K. Wallstreet at any time and at any place.
Vincent Kennedy Wallstreet challenged Ray Traylor to a fight, and Traylor accepts.
Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel announces that Ray Traylor vs. V.K. Wallstreet is on for Monday Nitro.
Wallstreet gets into a serious staredown with Ray “The Law” Traylor, before being escorted out of the building by security and Doug Dillenger.

John Taylor & Barry Houston vs. Kurasawa & Meng

Alex Wright vs. Bunkhouse Buck
The young German Alex Wright is overflowing with potential and looks like the next breakout star in WCW.
Bunkhouse Buck is a wild-eyed Tennessee farm hand, that comes to the ring wearing his cotton shirt, jeans, suspenders and boots. He is always ready for a brawl and the wilder and rougher the match the better he loves it. Like all Tennesseans he hates Texans with a passion. Any scrub unlucky enough to find himself in the ring facing Bunkhouse Buck is likely to end up hog-tied, strangled, or sprayed with tobacco juice to add insult to injury once the brutal squash is over.
Buck is a brutal, sadistic rule breaker that dominates his opponent.
During the match, the German Phenom Alex Wright has several great “Underdog” comeback segments.
In an entertaining match, “Das Wunderkind” Alex Wright defeated the dirty ‘n’ mean brawler Bunkhouse Buck in 4:40 by pinfall with a Surprise Roll Up.

Bischoff and “Mongo” interview Sting, and it’s announced that “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Sting will take place at the very first Nitro! Sting goes over their history and then says “It’s Showtime, folks!” before cupping his hands together and yelling “Owwwwww!”
“Mongo” and Bischoff mock Bobby “The Brain” Heenan for not being a part of the Nitro broadcast booth and they bring on the guy who will be their third, “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

The Super Assassins are two of the most awesome, massive, and powerful grapplers ever to enter the squared-circle. Those gargantuan monster heels usually runs roughshod over virtually all his opponents in brutal, old school, squash job fashion.
The Steiner Brothers is one of the most feared, powerful, and dynamic tag-teams ever to compete inside the squared circle. Scott Steiner is a talented athlete who combines strength, athleticism and amateur wrestling, to come across as a legitimate badass. Rick Steiner may not have had the flashy moves his brother, Scott, utilized. However, his unabashed use of brute force made him a mainstay in WCW. Rick’s power and mat skill complemented Scott’s agility and helped the pair overcoming teams like Harlem Heat, The Fabulous Freebirds and Doom.
In a bout that had good wrestling and a good reaction from the crowd, The Steiner Brothers defeated The Super Assassins II in 8:07 when Rick Steiner defeated Super Assassin #1 by pinfall with a Steinerizer following botched interference by Jimmy Hart. The Steiner Brothers make defence number 6 of their WCW World Tag Team titles.

Back at the Nitro Party, Eric Bischoff and Mongo are with “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff and The Hulkster dude and Hogan hypes the grand opening of his restaurant “Pastamania” the same night as “Nitro” debuts on monday, brother. He’ll be taking on his old arch rival “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff on the first Nitro, brother!
The narcissistic bully Paul Orndorff rips on the WCW fans for being stupid so he repeats himself several times.
Finally he’ll going to settle the score with Hulk Hogan!
“It’s wonderful being me!”
Hogan is putting World Championship Wrestling over as the place to be, saying he’s beaten the biggest and baddest dudes in professional wrestling, but he saw the competition in WCW and knew that he had to part of it, brother.
Hogan hypes the upcoming match against Orndorff, brother and then starts talking about Vader.
Hulk Hogan is wearing all black during the vignette and drawing on themes from the O.J. Simpson double-murder case:
Instead of the “say your prayers and take your vitamins” we were getting monologues about “the dark side of Hulk Hogan”, brother.
“Everyone knows what a man with a pair of black gloves on and a black rag on his head is capable of doing, brother!”
