WWE Women's Title in a Triple Threat Match
Victoria (C) vs. Lita vs. Trish Stratus
Winner: Victoria at 6:34
Result: The three women trade holds and throws for a good half of the match until Dawn Marie, Ivory, Molly Holly, and Jazz run out. They clean house by taking out the three women. Torrie Wilson makes her return and focuses on taking out Dawn. This leaves Victoria, Trish, and Lita to eliminate the remaining baddies. When Lita turns around, she takes a Chick Kick. Trish reverses a Widow's Peak attempt into a Stratusfaction, but Victoria reverses that into her spinning side slam. Victoria hits a Widow's Peak to Trish to claim the win.
Afterwards, Victoria celebrates with the title, completely missing Steven Richards, who slides in and hits a Steven Kick to her. Molly comes back out and the two stand over her. Molly holds the title up high as we fade into the broadcast.
(the only changes is that Lesnar vs. Holly contains shots from Lesnar, DDP, Holly, and Show)
WWE United States Title and Royal Rumble Qualifier in a Hardcore Match
Big Show (C) vs. Hardcore Holly
Winner: Big Show at 10:41
Result: Holly doesn't waste time and takes it to Show in the middle of his entrance. The two battle around ringside with Holly using a chair to beat Show down. Eventually, Show hits a boot that takes Holly down. Show uses his throws and power to send Holly around ringside. Show throws the padding off the floor and goes for a Chokeslam. Holly kicks Show in the balls and whacks him in the face with a chair. This takes the two men up the ramp. Holly climbs up on a barricade and hits a bulldog to Show onto the ramp for a two count. Holly uses the chair and beats Show back towards the stage. Once the two get there, Show starts begging Holly off. Holly whacks Show in the head again and goes for a Full Nelson. Show overpowers him and tosses him into the stage design. Show gets Holly up in a military press and goes for a throw off the stage. Holly gets down and starts throwing right hands. Eventually, Holly backs up and goes for a move, but Show catches him in a goozle. He then hits a Chokeslam off the stage to Holly. Show climbs down and pins Holly for the three.
------------------
Before the next match, we get an interview with John Cena and Josh Matthews, the former of whom promises that he will be exiting the Rumble tonight the winner, but he is interrupted by Rob Van Dam who says that he is going to be the winner. Cena is confused, but finishes his rap.
After that, Jonathan Coachman comes out to join JR and King on commentary. JR and Coach are at each other's throats, but King and Coach are fairly amicable.
WWE World Tag Team Titles in a Tables Match
Evolution (Batista and Ric Flair) (C) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley and D-von Dudley)
Winners: Evolution at 10:29
Result: The match is given a bit more time, so the four men use the tables a bit more, but otherwise the match is virtually the same as in real life. The end comes when Coach gets off commentary to head ringside. The Dudleys go for a 3D to Flair through a table, but Coach catches him and pulls him out of the ring. D-von sees this and grabs Coach, going for a punch, but Flair low blows D-von from behind. In the ring, Bubba goes for a Bubba Bomb to Batista, but he overpowers him and clotheslines him hard. After a Spinebuster, Batista nails a Batista Bomb to Bubba through the table to claim the victory and retain the titles.
After the match, Coach announces Evolution as the winners as they make their way to the back.
------------------ Before the next match, we go backstage where Garrison Cade, Mark Jindrak, La Resistance, Lance Storm, Maven, Val Venis, and Johnny Nitro are all outside of Eric Bischoff's office. They are all shouting and arguing. Eric opens the door and yells at them to stop. He tells them that he is focused on the Rumble Match tonight and guaranteeing that Raw comes out the winner. They each start shouting again, and Eric tells them that if they want to fight, then fine. They will face off in a Fatal 4-way Tag Match...tonight! And the winner faces Evolution tomorrow night on Raw for the World Tag Team Titles.
Before the next match, we see a seat ringside. JR and King say it's reserved for Mick Foley. JR is steadfast that Foley will show up, but King is adamant that he's a coward.
WWE Cruiserweight Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
X-Pac (C) vs. Tajiri with Akio and Sakoda vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble with Nidia
Winner: Rey Mysterio at 10:06
Result: Jamie is focused on getting Tajiri while Rey and X-Pac just want to have a good contest. Eventually, after a good bit of each men trading grapples and high flying moves, Jamie is sent over the top by Pac and Rey. Tajiri goes for a move, but Rey and Pac back body drop him over the ring, sending him into Noble, Akio, and Sakoda. Pac follows that up with a triangle crossbody that Noble manages to avoid, but takes out all of Tajiri and his yakuza. Rey then hits a corkscrew splash over the top to Pac, Tajiri, Akio, and Sakoda. Noble follows that up with a clothesline on the outside. Noble sends Rey in and isolates him for a bit. After a good bit of Noble taking it to Rey with holds, Rey reverses a suplex into a monkey flip. Rey starts getting into it, hitting his bulldog for a two. Rey goes for a springboard move, but Tajiri shows up and hits a buzzsaw mid-spring. Rey hits the mat and Tajiri goes for it, but on a two, Pac drags him off. Pac and Tajiri start getting into it until Pac gets him in the corner. Pac goes for a Bronco Buster, but Tajiri dodges it. Pac stops himself from crotching himself, but while on the turnbuckle, Noble hits a back suplex. Noble goes for a Tiger Bomb to Tajiri, who back body drops out of it. Tajiri goes for a Buzzsaw Kick to Noble, but Pac comes in with a spin kick. Pac goes for an X-Factor to Noble, who reverses it by throwing him over the top. Pac stays on the apron as Noble goes for another Tiger Bomb to Tajiri. This time, Tajiri gets out and elbows Noble away. Pac grabs Noble's arms. Tajiri goes for his mist, but Noble dodges, sending the mist into Pac. Noble tosses Tajiri into Pac, sending him to the floor. Noble then tosses Tajiri shoulder first into the turnbuckle post, sending him out of the ring. Noble goes for a Tiger Bomb to Rey, who reverses it into a hurricanrana into the middle rope. Rey goes for a 619, but Noble ducks it. He then hits a Tiger Bomb for a two. Noble gets Rey onto the middle rope and sees something. With a smirk, Noble goes for a 619 of his own, but Nidia trips him up mid-run! Nidia thinks she's done good, but Noble berates her. This distracts him long enough for Rey to hit a dropkick to his back, setting him up perfectly for a 619 and Droppin the Dime for the win and the title.
------------------ Before the next match, we see Paul Heyman in his office. He's looking at the camera and talks about a few things regarding SmackDown! before turning to Josh Matthews. Paul tells Josh that tonight his SmackDown! will once again be winning the Royal Rumble. He insults Benoit for a few moments before saying that on the next episode of SmackDown!, it will be Rey Mysterio defending his newly won Cruiserweight Title...against Tajiri. Furthermore, he sees that after what he saw on Heat earlier, also on Thursday, one-on-one...it will be Victoria...taking on Steven Richards. And to make sure there is no problems from the referee in keeping things fair...Molly Holly will be the special guest referee.
After a commercial for The Originals album, we go ringside where Tazz and Cole talk about the recent dissolution of Los Guerreros, where we get a replay of Chavo and Eddie's brawl last week that ended in Chavo Classic's debut to bloody Eddie. After that, they talk abut the dissolution of the APA as well, leading into a video package airing for the next match.
John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Faarooq
Winner: John "Bradshaw" Layfield at 8:02 by DQ
Result: It's a straight-up brawl. Both men trade punches for most of it and it's just a fight. There's not really any wrestling moves, and for 8 minutes, the two throw each other around ringside and delay the count. JBL gets a few shots in on Faarooq, but the latter ends up dominating (heh) for most of it. Eventually, Faarooq throws JBL over the SmackDown! announce desk. Faarooq beats on JBL, who is sitting in Cole's chair. Faarooq chokes JBL with Cole's headset before tossing the businessman back over the desk. Faarooq takes a few moments to play to the crowd as JBL crawls back into the ring. Faarooq forces Tony Chimel out of his chair, claiming it for himself. He gets back in the ring. JBL gets down, turning around into a chair to the face that busts him open. The ref calls for it.
Afterwards, Faarooq beats down JBL with the chair for a good minute or so. The ref stops him briefly, but Faarooq comes back in and smashes JBL with the chair some more. He ends it with a Spinebuster in that ring that rocks JBL's noggin loose. Faarooq is escorted out by referees and security while EMTs tend to an obviously not well-off JBL. It appears that Faarooq has gotten his revenge.
------------------ Before the next match, we head backstage where DDP gives a promo with Josh Matthews about his match coming up with Lesnar. DDP harkens back to his WCW days where he held that Big Gold belt like it meant the world to him, because for people like Page, it was more than just a secondary World Title, it was THE World Title. Page gets passionate about it, saying that he will be walking away once again the World Champ. He is asked about Holly, and tells Josh that he told Holly to stay away, recover. Just then, Holly approaches with some taped ribs. Holly says he'll be there at ringside. Page tells him the EMTs said otherwise, but Holly has been waiting for over a year to get his revenge on Lesnar, and nothing, not even some damaged ribs, are going to stop him. The two shake hands before heading off together.
After that, we go ringside once where JR and King talk about Foley and how he walked away in December. JR believes wholeheartedly that Foley will show up, but King continues to believe that he is a coward.
#1 Cont. of the WWE World Tag Team Titles in a Fatal 4-way Tag Team Match
Garrison Cade and Mark Jindrak vs. Lance Storm and Maven vs. Johnny Nitro and Val Venis vs. La Resistance (Rene Dupree and Robert Conway)
Winner: Lance Storm and Maven at 11:07
Result: Each team gets a good little bit of time to shine. Things take a turn when Storm reverses an Au Revoir into a double DDT. Both men roll out of the ring. Cade pops in and goes for a harsh right hand, but Storm ducks. He hits a Superkick, sending Cade over the top and to the floor. Mark pops in and goes for a Mark of Perfection, but Storm gets out behind him. He then grabs Mark by the back of the head and sends him over the top, landing on Cade and Resistance. Storm points to Maven, who feeds into the crowd. He hits the opposite ropes, coming back with splash over the top, taking out all those men. Storm goes for a Superkick to Venis, who catches it. Venis then hits a Blue Thunder Bomb to Storm. Venis goes up top for the Money Shot. Nitro tags him in whilst on the top, but Venis still completes it. Venis and Nitro share a few moments, with Venis confused and Nitro adamant. Venis shakes his head in disappointment before leaving. Mid-exit, however, Nitro hits an enzuguri, taking Venis to the floor and knocking him out. Nitro starts celebrating, an arrogant smirk on his face. This distracts him from Storm, who tags into Maven. Maven pops in and immediately tags into Storm. Maven takes it to Nitro for a bit, ending it with a dropkick to him. Maven starts getting into it, going for a suplex. Nitro gets behind him, shoving him into a corner. Nitro charges, but Maven dodges. Nitro jumps on the second rope, going for a flying something. Maven gets out of the ring, allowing Storm to hit a Superkick mid-air. Storm hooks the legs and scores the pin.
------------------ After a commercial for Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses DVD, we again go to that chair seated in the front row. JR and King talk once more about Foley and his absence. You can sense JR is losing a bit of faith, but continues to preach that Foley will be here. King asks when JR will accept the truth that Foley is a coward, something JR doesn't address.
We then head backstage where Benoit gives a interview with Josh Matthews. Benoit says he's going to win the Rumble, but Evolution rolls in. Flair talks about their greatness, the World Tag Champs, the Intercontinental Champ, the soon to be STILL WWE Champ. Flair says that Evolution is number one, while Benoit, as much as Flair respects him, is always second place. Flair sends some champagne flying, him and Evolution leaving the scene repeating that Benoit is second place. Benoit grabs the mic from Josh, telling him, telling the world that nothing will stop him. Not Paul Heyman, not Evolution, not God himself. "Nothing...will stop me from winning the Royal Rumble...and going to Madison Square Garden...where I will main event and become...the World...Champion!"
Following that, we get a video package detailing how we go to the next match.
World Heavyweight Title
Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Diamond Dallas Page with Hardcore Holly
Winner: Brock Lesnar at 14:22
Result: Holly keeps pace at ringside, watching Brock like a hawk whenever he leaves the ring. Lesnar overpowers Page the first two times they tussle, until on the third lock-up, Page goes for a Diamond Cutter. Lesnar ducks out of it and flees the scene. Holly is right there to watch Brock, his ribs taped up, something Lesnar laughs at him for. Lesnar reenters the ring and continues to overpower Page with some suplexes. Lesnar goes for an F5, but ducks behind him. Page hits a saito suplex to Lesnar, scoring a two. Page tries to outwrestle Lesnar, to no avail. Lesnar and Page fight into the corner where eventually, Page climbs up and boots Lesnar away. Page hits a top rope clothesline that nets another two. Page goes for another Diamond Cutter, but Lesnar shoves Page into the ropes. On the rebound, Lesnar hits a powerslam to him. Lesnar continues to use his power, hitting three consecutive powerbombs that nets a two each time. Lesnar looks to Holly, laughing and insulting him. When Holly tries to get in, the ref stops it. Lesnar goes for Page, who reverses it into a roll-up for a two. Lesnar responds with a clothesline to take Page back down. Lesnar calls it, going for an F5. Page gets behind it and shoves Lesnar into the corner, crushing the ref. Page charges, but Lesnar moves, sending Page into the ref as well. Lesnar goes for an F5, but Page reverses it mid-move into a Diamond Cutter. Page rolls over and covers, but there's no ref! Page gets up, frustrated, until Holly rolls in. He starts sending right hands into Lesnar. Page tries to stop him, but Holly shoves him away. Show comes out, clotheslining Holly down. He hits a Chokeslam to Holly, who rolls out. He goes for one to Page, who reverses it into a Diamond Cutter. Page gets up and starts to get excited. He goes for another one to Lesnar, who overpowers him, sending Page to the mat. Page gets up, but meets a belly to belly by Brock. Holly slides back in, and haphazardly nails Brock with the World Heavyweight Title. He tosses it away and locks in a Full Nelson to Brock. Eventually, Test runs out and hits a Big Boot to Holly. Test looks to beat up Holly for a bit until the red fireworks blow at the stage. Test sees Kane running out and he immediately hightails it through the crowd. Kane and Show brawl out of the ring, taking themselves to the back. Page gets up, noticing the ref starting to reawaken. Page goes for a Diamond Cutter, but Brock again shoves him away. Page turns around into a low blow by Brock. He scoops Page up in a fireman's carry just as the ref turns around, hitting an F5 to score the three.
------------------ We go the parking garage where we see JBL walking to his limo. He tries to get there despite the bandage on his face and the barely-there look in his eyes. Faarooq shows up and starts to beat him down again. Security and EMTs pop in, so JBL kicks Faarooq in the balls. He collapses onto the concrete as JBL gets into his limo. It drives away, leaving Faarooq to sit there pissed. Clearly he hasn't gotten his revenge yet!
We go backstage where HHH is getting taped up. JR and King hype up the match to come before we go elsewhere to see HBK praying. We then cut to a video package detailing how we got to the next match.
WWE Title in a Last Man Standing Match
Triple H (C) vs. Shawn Michaels
Winner: Draw at 23:05
Result: It's the same match as real life, which makes my job easier. HHH hits a Pedigree to Shawn, who gets up at a 9. HBK then hits Sweet Chin Music to HHH. HBK tries to get up before a 9, but he can't, and Earl Hebner calls it, with neither man winning, much to the crowd's absolute displeasure.
Afterwards, HHH is sent back on a stretcher. It looks like HBK is going to also go back that way, but he fights against it, and hobbles to the back despite the pain.
------------------ Before the next match, we get a video package detailing the Rumble match itself and some build to it, featuring "Nothing Left to Lose" by Puddle of Mudd.
After that, we head back to ringside where Tazz is joined by JR. The Fink looks like he's ready to start things off when Eric Bischoff comes out. Eric again repeats that Raw will demolish SmackDown! and walk away from the Rumble with the main event of WrestleMania. He starts to insult Heyman a bit until Paul himself comes out. Paul admonishes Eric and says that SmackDown! will repeat things and walk out of the Rumble as a winner. Paul insults Eric, telling him that WCW failed twice to beat WWE, what makes him think he can beat Paul Heyman's SmackDown!? Eric responds by telling Paul that during that Invasion, Paul had the biggest superstar ever as their champion...and still lost. The two look like they're about to come to blows until Steve Austin comes out. He tells them that they are delaying the Rumble for these fans. He then tries to get to the bottom of this and get a fair judge of things before making a decision as the Sheriff of Raw. Both men blame the other, so Austin hits a Stunner to Eric. Paul laughs at Eric and Steve joins with him before hitting a Stunner to Paul. Austin celebrates a bit before heading to the back on his ATV.
While the ring crew changes the canvas and cleans up around ringside, we head to the deepest corners of the arena. Goldberg is staring a mirror. We never see his face head-on as a single light shines on him. He breathes heavy and gets ready to enter last. Suddenly, the light above him flickers. Goldberg looks around. When the light stops flickering and remains solid, Goldberg looks at the mirror and smiles maliciously.
We then head to the locker room where Hulk Hogan is giving an interview with Terri Runnels. Hulk says that he's going to walk away as the winner tonight on behalf of all of the Hulkamaniacs pullin for him, brother. He is interrupted by Lesnar, who tells Terri she should be giving this interview to him, who beat Page tonight to retain his World Heavyweight Title. The two talk about the last time they met at Survivor Series. And that since then, Hulk has proven his point that he is a relic. Hogan tells Lesnar that he's kept his title close, but the target's gotten bigger, and soon, he'll realize just how vulnerable he is, brother. Hulk looks over Brock's shoulder and says "isn't that right, Holly?" Brock turns around and looks nervous. He scans the room and the nearby hallway for a bit. He looks back at Hulk, who is laughing. Brock looks pissed. Hogan tells Lesnar "you know...some people...and I say some people...have the guts to call Mick Foley a coward? I don't think so."
Speaking on that, JR and Tazz talk about Foley as we see the still empty seat in the front row. Tazz calls JR out, saying that he said if Foley wouldn't show up, he'd call him a coward. JR eats his words, and openly calls Foley a coward. Tazz is pleased, and the two try to get past that moment of tension. Tazz gives his Keys to Victory before we head to the ring.
Royal Rumble Match
As has been said all month (Author's Note: And the four in between), Chris Benoitcomes to the ring first. He looks ready to go.
Up next, is the Intercontinental Champion, Randy Orton. The two circle before locking up. Benoit gets Orton into the corner before beating on him. The two hit the ropes, with Benoit taking Orton down. Benoit takes it to Orton for a bit, including a Snap Suplex.
At number three is Mark Henry. He hustles out from the back and hits the ring. He takes down both competitors with clotheslines. Henry hits a World's Strongest Slam to both men as well, standing tall in the ring and cementing his spot.
Number four is Eddie Guerrero! He comes out and takes it to Mark. He and Benoit team up on Henry for a bit. They get him down to the mat by beating on him. They then hit a Double Suplex to Orton. They climb up on opposite turnbuckles. Benoit hits a Diving Headbutt to Mark while Eddie hits a Frog Splash. Eddie goes to throw Chris out, who hangs on. Benoit gets back in and the two have a staredown.
At number five is Hulk Hogan! Hogan comes out from the back to "Voodoo Child", and is slow to get to the ring. Eventually, he enters, and immediately takes it to Orton. Orton goes for an RKO, but Hogan shoves him into the ropes. On the rebound, Hogan hits a Big Boot and then the Running Leg Drop. Hogan does some taunting as the next competitor comes out.
And it's Rhyno. Rhyno runs out and immediately hits a Gore to Benoit and Eddie. He goes for Henry, who holds onto it mid-move. He beels Rhyno into the corner, where Henry goes for a splash, but Rhyno dodges it. He responds with a Gore to Henry. Rhyno goes for a Gore to Hogan, who dodges it, sending him into the middle turnbuckle. Rhyno backs up into a German Suplex by Benoit. When Rhyno gets up, Benoit clotheslines him out of the ring.
RHYNO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Henry hobbles up, so Benoit charges, hitting a tackle. When that doesn't work, he does it again, sending Henry flying over the top and to the outside.
MARK HENRY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Number seven comes out next, Matt Hardy. He takes his time to get in, where he immediately meets Eddie. The two exchange blows for a bit until Eddie hits Matt with a Three Amigos. Eddie taunts Matt before turning around into an RKO. Orton tries to get Eddie out, but Eddie holds onto the bottom rope, keeping his feet from touching the floor. The rest of them try to get others over the top.
Up next at number eight is Scott Steiner. He comes out, looking jacked, and starts beating on anyone he can find with clotheslines. He gets to Hulk, who takes his clothesline. Scott looks at Matt. Hulk calls for another one, so Scott sends it, but Hulk stands strong. On the third one, Scott hits the ropes, and at the same time, Matt chop blocks Hulk, hitting a high and low to the Immortal One. Scott and Matt high-five, proposing a unit. Scott then tries to throw Matt out, but he holds on. Scott hits a butterfly suplex to Orton, followed by an elbow drop and a couple push-ups. He gets up and meets Benoit, who takes it to him with chops and right hands.
Number nine is out, and it's Kevin Nash! Kevin hits the ring and takes down everybody with Big Boots and sidewalk slams. Nash hits a Jackknife Powerbomb to Orton before turning to Hogan. The two stare at each other, Nash lowering his straps. After a bit of hesitation, Hogan offers it, and Nash accepts to the "Too Sweet", and Tazz saying it's "4 lyfe, JR!" The two then begin focusing on the other competitors, teaming up themselves.
"STANDA BACK!" as The Hurricane comes through at number ten. He runs out and rips his cape off, hitting a flying crossbody to Matt. Hurricane starts throwing hands wherever he can find, it eventually managing a Chokeslam to Eddie and Orton. Hurricane turns around and meets Nash. He then does his pose before backing up into Hogan. Hogan and Nash look at him and laugh, offering a thumbs up. The three men do the Hurricane pose together, and Hurricane is pleased with himself. He turns around into a Big Boot by Nash. One Jackknife Powerbomb later and Hogan and Nash toss him out and over.
THE HURRICANE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Nash and Hogan continue to double team everyone in their path awaiting the next entry.
And at number eleven is Chavo Guerrero! Eddie and Chavo immediately lock eyes. Eddie slides under the bottom rope and starts to brawl. The two relatives and former tag team partners throw hands, brawling all throughout ringside. The two fight here and there, with neither getting the advantage even as they brawl into the crowd.
The seconds blow by, and at number twelve, is Test! Test comes hustling out. He hits the ring and nails a Big Boot to Orton, then Benoit, then Steiner, and even Matt. Test looks to Hogan and Nash. He goes for a Big Boot to Nash, who ducks it, hitting one of his own. Nash does some of Hogan's taunts before hitting a Running Leg Drop of his own. Nash and Hogan hug it out before Nash turns around into a low blow and RKO from Orton. Hogan takes it to Orton, but Matt and Steiner team up to tackle Hogan, ending the former nWo duo's run of dominance. Elsewhere, Eddie and Chavo continue their brawl in the crowd, eventually making their back to ringside when Eddie back body drops Chavo over the barricade onto the floor.
This leads to number thirteen's entrance, and it's Shelton Benjamin. Shelton hustles out from the back. He hits the ring and starts to join the fray, but the story lies with Eddie and Chavo. Eddie hits a suplex to Chavo onto the floor. Eddie tosses Chavo in before entering. Once he does, Chavo Classic appears and grabs Eddie. Eddie gets Classic down, leading to Chavo Jr. hitting a dropkick to the back of Eddie's head. He gets sent over the top, and Classic pulls Eddie to the floor.
EDDIE GUERRERO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Eddie looks at both Chavos completely pissed. In the ring, Matt and Benjamin team up against a few others. Meanwhile, Chavo and Eddie have a staredown. Chavo taunts Eddie for the elimination, but Eddie smirks. Chavo backs up into Benoit. He grabs Chavo and tosses him out.
CHAVO GUERRERO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Eddie and Chavo continue their brawl, even as the next competitor comes out.
And it's Rikishi. He bypasses Eddie and Chavo, who brawl to the back despite a gaggle of referees trying to stop them. Rikishi enters the ring and joins the fray. Matt and Shelton take down a couple of others while Nash and Hogan team up to do so elsewhere. Eventually, they meet in the middle. Nash and Hogan are ready to fight. Matt is pumped, with Shelton shoving Matt into them as he backs away. Hogan and Nash take turns beating on Matt until the next competitors enters.
And it seems Kane is the number fifteenth entrant! He sees that Hogan and Nash are standing tall in the ring, but wastes no time and takes it to them. He topples everyone, hitting a Chokeslam to Matt, Benjamin, Benoit, and Orton. He hits a Chokeslam to Steiner before sending him out and over.
SCOTT STEINER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Kane goes for a Chokeslam to Rikishi, who fights out of it. He Superkicks Kane into the corner. Rikishi goes for the Stink Face, but Kane gets up. When Rikishi turns around, Kane goozles him, nailing a Chokeslam. He spots Test, and smirks. The two start brawling in the corner with Kane taking it to Test something fierce.
This leads to the next entrant, number sixteen coming out: A-Train. He hustles down to the ring and tries to pick a fight with anybody he can find. Unfortunately, he turns and finds Kane. Kane beats down A-Train with a couple shots before sending him into the ropes with a Big Boot. Kane then clothesline A-Train over the top, but he stays on the apron. Kane turns around and meets a Big Boot by Test, but he dodges! The boot hits Train and sends him to the floor!
A-TRAIN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Test turns around into another boot by Kane that sends him over. Test stands on the apron, surviving for now, but meets another choke. Kane hits a Chokeslam to Test onto A-Train!
TEST HAS BEEN ELIMINTATED
Rikishi tries his odds at Kane, getting him into the ropes. He hits a Superkick that sends Kane reeling, but he holds on. Rikishi goes to run the ropes, but Benoit lowers the top rope, sending Rikishi over and to the floor.
RIKISHI HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Kane recovers from Rikishi and focuses a bit on Nash. However, Matt and Benjamin try and attack Kane from behind. They turn around, and both meet a choke. Kane taunts them a bit for their idiocy as the next competitor comes out.
And wouldn't you know it, number seventeen is Charlie Haas. He runs into the ring and nails Kane from behind just as Benjamin and Matt are set for a Chokeslam. The trio attack Kane, beating him down against the ropes and in the corner. Kane shoves Benjamin and Haas away, but suffers a Twist of Fate. The trio then beat on Kane a bit more, eventually using their triple team efforts to eliminate Kane.
KANE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Matt celebrates with Haas and Benjamin. Matt looks toward the stage and call out for whoever is next. The two see Matt distracted and team up to toss him out and over!
MATT HARDY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Tazz mentions that Matt recently lost his Mattitude Follower, Shannon Moore, and he looks devastated as The World's Greatest Tag Team just turned on him. Matt looks absolutely torn-up at this.
It leads into number eighteen, Jeff Hardy! Jeff comes out and bypasses Matt, who can't help but look back. Jeff gets into the ring and takes down anybody he finds, even if it isn't to any avail. Eventually, Jeff finds The World's Greatest Tag Team, who double team him. Matt sees this, and is suddenly enraged. He makes his way back down to the ring, throwing his elbow pads off and getting in. He rips Shelton off of Jeff before nailing him with right hands. Haas tries to intercede, but Matt pops him a good one too. Jeff and Matt have a staredown, neither making a move on the other. Matt kicks Shelton and hits a Twist of Fate to him. Jeff tears his shirt off and climbs up. Matt keeps people at bay as he hits Swanton Bomb over his brother to Shelton. Haas tries to attack, but suffers a Twist of Fate of his own. Jeff tosses Charlie out and over.
CHARLIE HAAS HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
And right after, The Hardy Boyz pick up Shelton. They share a look before tossing him out together.
SHELTON BENJAMIN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Matt exits the ring, looking back periodically at Jeff with some sense of newfound respect as he makes his way to the back.
At number nineteen is Kurt Angle! He wastes zero time and sprints to the ring. He starts laying suplexes into everybody he sees, Germans, belly-to-bellys, standards, all depending on the people he meets. He hits one final Angle Slam to Jeff before getting up and shouting. He then starts to focus on Nash, who was isolated from Hogan in that encounter.
Number twenty comes out next and it's Booker T! He heads on down to the ring and joins into the fray of people who are still in this match. He ends up hitting a Book End to Jeff, but otherwise doesn't do much before the next guys comes out.
It's number twenty one, Chuck Palumbo.........or at least it should be. Nobody comes out during the time allotted, but during this timeframe, Jeff goes for a Whisper in the Wind to Angle, who dodges. Jeff hits the canvas with a splat.
As Number twenty-two, Billy Gunn, makes his way down to the ring, we go backstage where Chuck Palumbo is seen taken out. Austin yells at someone behind a corner as EMTs tend to Chuck. He tells whoever it is that he's number twenty-one and to get his ass to the ring. In the ring, Mack tries to take on Nash and Hogan, but finds himself taken down fairly quickly with a double Big Boot. Orton hits a Flying Crossbody to both men at the same time to take them down! He gets up, and suddenly, we hear a car crash! Orton stares in the ring, completely losing his mind as Mick Foley comes on out!
"By God, he's not a coward" yells JR! The two brawl inside the ring with each other for a bit, with the action seemingly stopped. Eventually, Foley clotheslines both himself and Orton over the top rope to the floor!
MICK FOLEY and RANDY ORTON HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED
Foley and Orton continue their brawl around ringside. Foley slams Orton into the steps as the action in the ring continues. Foley grabs the steel steps and goes for Orton, but a producer tries to stop him. Foley nails him with the steps, turning around into a couple of steel chair shots to the head!
During all of this, number twenty three runs on down to the ring: Christian! Foley and Orton keep on brawling even as Christian slides into the ring. Orton beats on Foley, bringing them back towards the ramp. In the ring, Christian looks to take an Angle Slam, but gets out of it and hits an Unprettier. On the ramp, Orton goes for another chair shot, but Foley sends off a shot to the gut. He gets off a couple of right hands and a clothesline. He brings out Mr. Socko, going for Orton.
He is interrupted by number twenty four, Rodney Mack, who comes on out. Mack is ready to go, but meets Mr. Socko for his troubles. Foley brings Mack around, but takes a kick directly to the yambags! Orton flees to the back with Foley quick to follow. Mack is slow to get to the ring, hanging out on the outside for a few moments to recover.
This leads well enough into number twenty five, Big Show! He comes on out, but gets nowhere before meeting Hardcore Holly! Holly is being dragged to the back by referees and security, but still tries to get some shots on Show. Show looks at Holly, then back to the ring. He shakes his head and grabs Holly. He separates the security and refs, nailing shot after shot to Holly. JR and Tazz start losing their mind at how chaotic this Rumble has been while in the ring, Jeff goes for a Twist of Fate to Benoit. He reverses it into a Crossface. Jeff tries to get out of it, but Benoit manages to get off onto the rope and then apron. Benoit and Jeff brawl for a bit there. Jeff goes for another Twist of Fate, but Benoit blocks it, shoving Jeff off the apron and into the barricade to eliminate him.
JEFF HARDY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Back at the stage, Show goes for a Chokeslam, but Holly gets out of it and locks in a Full Nelson. Show throws Holly off, hitting a Big Boot to him. Show takes a steel grating off of the stage. He taunts Holly for a few moments before locking in another choke to him.
Just then, number twenty six, Rob Van Dam, comes on out! He meets Show in the middle, nailing some kicks to him. Show shoves RVD off as security and refs try to intercede. Show hits a Big Boot to RVD, getting him back as the ring continues to fill up. Show grabs Holly in the choke and hits a Chokeslam to Holly into the hole he made! EMTs come out and help with Holly while Show makes his way down. Mack hides in the corner while Show military presses RVD through the ropes and into the ring. Show officially enters from there, taking down a couple of guys with headbutts and boots.
After that, lucky number twenty seven makes their way on out. And it's John Cena! He meets Rodney Mack, still on the outside, who sees his predicament. Mack holds his chin, trying to feign off John. Cena does the "you can't see me" and tosses Mack in. Cena starts getting into things with the ring now almost completely full. Cena hits an FU to Mack, but right after is nailed from behind by Nash and Hogan. They try to toss Cena out, but he holds onto the ropes.
We're not done yet as number twenty eight is next: Chris Jericho! Jericho heads on down and immediately tries to level the field. He soon meets Christian, and the two share a bro-fist. They look to take down Hogan and Nash, but Show intercedes and slams their heads together before clotheslining them both. Show chops both men in the corner before hitting a Chokeslam to Mack. Show taunts for a bit, locking in a choke to Hogan. Nash hits a couple Big Boots to Show to take him down before going for a Jackknife Powerbomb. He isn't able to hit it until Booker hits a side kick to Nash. Booker manages to hit a Book End to Hogan and then a Scissors Kick to Nash. He lands the Spinnarooni but is then tossed by Christian and Jericho.
BOOKER T HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Christian and Jericho go another bro-fist before focusing on someone else.
We're coming down to the wire here and this ring is still pretty full, something not helped by number twenty nine, Matt Anoa'i. He makes his way down and starts to take on anybody he finds. But even his size and power isn't enough to eliminate anybody. This leaves the landscape open for the final entrant who is...next.
It's number 30, and that's no mystery! Goldberg is here! He gets into the ring immediately takes Show down with a Spear! He starts to take on anybody he sees. He hits a Superkick to Mack that sends the poor bastard out and over.
RODNEY MACK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Goldberg continues to dominate, nailing anybody in sight. Suddenly, Christian jumps on his back. While still having Christian on his back, Goldberg manages to grab Billy Gunn by the tights and send him out and over.
BILLY GUNN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Goldberg fights off RVD before throwing Christian off his back. Right afterwards, he takes a kick from RVD. Goldberg responds by shoving him off to the mat. He then rushes and nails a Spear to Christian that tears him in half. Right afterwards, he gets up and taunts, shouting to the booing crowd. He then clotheslines Matt Anoa'i out and over.
MATT ANOA'I HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Goldberg looks down at Christian, but is attacked from behind by Jericho. Jericho nails some good shots to Goldberg, but is suddenly goozled. Goldberg tosses Jericho over the top, but he lands on the apron. Goldberg picks up Christian, going for a Jackhammer, but Jericho pulls him down, getting Christian behind him. Christian pops off a low blow from behind. Goldberg staggers for a few moments. Jericho and Christian regroup, but when the latter turns around, Goldberg goes for a Spear. Christian dodges, sending it into Jericho and sending Jericho to the floor!
CHRIS JERICHO HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Christian looks at this and shrugs. He goes for an Unprettier to Goldberg, who shoves him off, nailing a Superkick on the rebound. Goldberg hits a Jackhammer to Christian. He chokes him and lifts him up into a military press. He then tosses Christian over the top, landing onto Jericho on the outside.
CHRISTIAN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Goldberg goes for a Jackhammer to Show, but then the lights turn out! We hear the gong! We hear a second one! The lights come back on, and in the ring, Goldberg is yelling! He gestures for a fight, waiting for The Undertaker. Unfortunately, this leaves him wide open for Hogan and Nash to pop and toss Goldberg out of the match!
GOLDBERG HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
In the ring, Nash and Hogan do another "Too Sweet" before focusing on Angle and Benoit. They get them into opposite corners. Nash runs for Hogan's and Hogan runs for Nash's. They meet them with a back elbow and clothesline respectively. Hogan and Nash meet in the middle before hugging. Hogan calls for it, hitting a Running Leg Drop onto Benoit. Meanwhile, Nash goes for a Jackknife Powerbomb to Angle. Angle, however, reverses it into a back body drop, sending Nash onto the canvas. Hogan and Angle start brawling until eventually, Angle goes for an Angle Slam. Hogan gets out of it, hitting a few scoop slams to him. Hogan Irish whips Angle across the ring and gets a Big Boot off. Hogan goes for the Running Leg Drop, when Brock Lesnar suddenly enters! Lesnar clotheslines Hogan mid-run! Lesnar explodes and waits for Hogan to get up. When he does, Lesnar hits him with an F5. Lesnar stares on, watching intently as Hogan gets up. He sees Lesnar and calls him a dead man! This is distraction enough for Benoit, who pops in and amateurs Hogan out and over the top rope!
HULK HOGAN HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Lesnar sees this and smirks before finally making his way to the back. Hogan is quick to follow. In the ring, the remaining competitors start duking it out with each other. Eventually, all of them try to eliminate Show, who overpowers them. Show takes them all down with punches and shoves. He goes for a scoop slam to Cena, but Angle chop blocks him, sending Cena down on top of him! Angle starts to rally the troops, starting with Nash hitting an elbow drop to Show. RVD goes up and hits a Five Star Frog Splash! Cena pumps it up while Benoit climbs to the top. Cena hits Five Knuckle Shuffle! Benoit follows it up with the Flying Headbutt! Angle then gathers everyone and tells them to eliminate Show. They all try to lift him up, but he overpowers them all, sending them back. Cena tries to go for Show, but he is tossed over the top, landing awkwardly on his leg on the outside.
JOHN CENA HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
RVD gets Show back into the corner with some kicks, but when RVD goes for a monkey flip, Show catches him before tossing him to the outside!
ROB VAN DAM HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
That leaves four! Nash and Show start fighting, with Show sending Nash over the top. But only one foot touches! Nash makes sure this is the case before getting back over the top rope. He takes it to Show a few more times, ripping off his elbow pad and hitting a Big Boot to him against the ropes, to no avail. Nash goes for another one, but Show dodges, sending Nash crotched on the top rope. Show tackles Nash over, but again, only one foot touches! Nash gets up and nails a few forearms to Show. That gets him back. He climbs back over and tries to Irish whip Show. But again, Show is too powerful, he hits Nash with a right hand before throwing him into a turnbuckle. Show charges, but Nash gets a boot up. Nash then climbs to the middle rope, beating on Show a few times when he tries to intercede. Eventually, Nash shocks JR, Tazz, and the entire audience by hitting a Diving Forearm to Show that takes him down and flips onto his stomach!
Nash accepts the adulation of the crowd before looking to the hard camera and saying "hail to the king" and hitting hitting a groin press onto Show's back, which JR harkens back to his match against King Mabel in 1995. Nash then locks in a Camel Clutch to Show. Nash cinches it in, and Show actually taps out! Eventually, Angle pops in, nailing Nash in the back and interrupting the submission. The two of them start brawling, but Nash eventually elbows Kurt away long enough to nail him with a Big Boot! Angle goes over the top, but he holds on! Nash tries to get him out. Show stands up behind them, looking pissed. Benoit tries his luck with the big man, but Show just hits a spinebuster to him. Show walks over and lifts Nash's boot up, sending him ass over head over the top rope and to the floor!
KEVIN NASH HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
Show and Kurt suddenly start going at it, but when Kurt goes for the ropes, Show scoops him up, hitting a sidewalk slam. Show gets up and meets Benoit in the middle, locking him in a choke and hitting a thunderous Chokeslam. Angle goes for a German Suplex, but Show overpowers him and uses his big ass to keep him back. Show tries to send Kurt over, but he fights back. Getting him back and hitting an Angle Slam! Benoit comes in and sends a few shots Kurt's way. The Olympic gold medalist ducks a wild blow, hitting another Angle Slam, this time to Chris! Angle then asks the crowd who to do it to, and when they choose Show, Angle lowers his straps. He then goes for Show, but the big man goozles him! Angle reverses a Chokeslam into a victory roll, and then transitions it into an Ankle Lock onto Show. And again, Show starts tapping! Angle locks it in tight, cinching it in deep, but Show manages to stand up. He hobbles over to the ropes, climbing over the top. He floats between the ropes, getting back into the ring through the bottom rope, and sending Angle flying over the top to the floor in a modified victory roll!
KURT ANGLE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED
After he hits the floor, Kurt gets right back up. He is infuriated! He grabs the monitors from the Spanish announce table and tosses them into the floor. The referees force him to the back even as he expresses some serious frustration.
We are down to two!
Show manages to get onto the apron, but due to taking two different submissions, all he does he hang loosely onto the top rope. Benoit climbs a nearby turnbuckle. He dives with a Flying Headbutt, but Show manages to land inside the ring! Benoit takes a few moments to gather his wits before charging for the ropes. On the rebound, Show locks in the choke! He shakes his head and goes for the Chokeslam, but Benoit reverses it into the Crossface! For the third time, Show taps out! Show waits a few more moments before overpowering Chris. He stands up with Chris still having the hold locked in and hits a sidewalk slam. Show gingerly stands up, but lets out a roar! He lowers his strap and lifts his right palm up. Show grabs Benoit by the hair, pulling him to his feet. He yells into his face, saying he's "second place". Show locks in the choke and lifts him up, but Benoit gets out of it. Benoit goes for the ropes, but Show grabs him in the choke again! Show lifts him up and nails the Chokeslam! Show does the "safe" signal, indicating its over. He taunts Benoit, telling him to "come to" him. Show pulls himself up via Show's knee pads. The two lock eyes, and Show tells Benoit it's over. He lifts him up for a military press, but Benoit reverses it into a guillotine! Show tries to beat on him to free himself, but Benoit keep it locked in! Show tries one last attempt to send Benoit over, but he lands on the apron! Benoit lies down, keeping the guillotine locked in and getting under the bottom rope! Show hangs precariously over the top rope! Benoit uses what strength he has to pull, pull, pulllllll the Big Show over! Show is vertical with his legs in the air! Benoit unleashes another burst of energy, and sends Show over! Show's feet hit the floor!

Victoria (C) vs. Molly Holly with Steven Richards
- On the Heat prior to the Royal Rumble, Steven Richards made his return by hitting a Steven Kick on Victoria after her victory. SmackDown! GM Paul Heyman made a match between the two for the following SmackDown!, but with Molly Holly as the special ref, there really was no chance of Victoria walking away the winner. Lo and behold, Steven ended up defeating a wounded Victoria. She had hurt her hand in the match, but Heyman wasn't willing to give her a reprieve, at least, not without vacating her title due to the 30 day non-compete clause. She refused, so Paul announced another match between Molly Holly and the person Victoria didn't pin at the Rumble, Lita. With Steven at Molly's side, he assured her the victory. Can Molly capitalize on Victoria's injured hand to retain the title? Or is a mixture of said injury, momentum, and Victoria's former man the perfect combination that Molly needs to finally take the title off her?

WWE Tag Team Titles in a 3 on 2 Handicap Match
The Basham Brothers (Doug and Danny Basham) (C) and Shaniqua vs. Rikishi and Scotty Too Hotty
- Scotty Too Hotty made an illustrious return on SmackDown!, saving Rikishi from a two-on-one assault by the Bashams. The two former members of Too Cool celebrated together, and claimed their shot at the Bashams. Heyman wasn't willing to give them a shot so easily, so put them through something of the ringer. Rikishi faced the Bashams in a handicap match, and used his size to claim victory over Danny. Scotty tried his own chances the following week in another handicap match, but interference by Shaniqua lead to Scotty winning by DQ. Heyman announced that Rikishi and Scotty would get their shots. However, it will be a 3-on-2 handicap match with Shaniqua teaming with her boys. Can The Basham Brothers utilize all the advantage they have to keep their titles? Or are new champions on the horizon in the form of Rikishi and Scotty Too Hotty?
Mixed Tag Team Match
Jamie Noble and Jazz vs. X-Pac and Nidia
- Late last year, Nidia was blinded by Tajiri's mist. Noble originally felt sympathy for her and kept her at ringside out of some supposed sense of love. Things took a turn to the our real fast as Noble started using her blindness to his advantage. Unfortunately, recently, she has been messing up, including costing Noble his shot at the Cruiserweight Title at the Rumble. On the following SmackDown!, Noble faced X-Pac in a one-on-one match. He tried to use Nidia to his advantage by throwing her into Pac, but she stopped herself, revealing that she's recovered from her blindness! Noble aired their dirty laundry the following week, revealing some grievances about how Nidia has been spending his inheritance money left and right. Nidia joined in, saying that Noble is less of man, not only because he refused to nut up and propose, but also by insulting his "performance". She brought out a wood chipper, and ended up shredding up her fancy fur coat she got last year. A pissed off Noble tried to attack her the following week, but Pac interfered. He started to take it to Noble until Jazz interceded, clotheslining the hell out of Pac and then scoop slamming him and Nidia in the ring. Noble revealed that he's got a new woman in his life, and through their business partnership, they're going to make sure Nidia never wrestles again. This match was made official a bit later in the broadcast. Will the terrifying presence of Jazz be the difference Noble needs? Or will Nidia get her revenge with the help of a pissed off Pac?
Bar Room Brawl
John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. Faarooq
- At the Rumble, these two former friends and tag team partners faced off in a match. Faarooq dominated the match, but used a chair and got himself disqualified in a fit of emotions. JBL was destroyed and busted open afterwards, and it seemed that Faarooq had gotten his revenge. Unfortunately, footage was leaked of Faarooq at a local bar where he was attacked and busted open by JBL. The two couldn't be kept apart, and Heyman had had enough. He told them that since they don't want to wrestle, he's not going to let them into a wrestling ring. He said that the two of them are going to meet at a local San Francisco bar and duke it out. There will be one referee present, and whoever can knock the other one out will walk away from this the winner. Will Faarooq get his final measure of revenge? Or will JBL eliminate his partner once and for all in a setting both men are accustom to?
Losers Leave SD
The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) vs. Matt Hardy and Diamond Dallas Page
- In late 2003, Matt Hardy found himself without his "follower". Sick of the treatment he was getting, Shannon Moore turned on Matt Hardy. Ever since, Matt has been lost, looking for companionship and a partner. At the Rumble, Matt had a temporarily alliance with the World's Greatest Tag Team. Unfortunately, they also turned on him, eliminating him at their earliest convenience. Afterwards, a pissed off Matt allied with his estranged brother to eliminate both men. On the SmackDown! after, Page replaced Benoit in a 15-man Royal Rumble due to Benoit going to Raw and challenging the WWE Title. During the match, Matt and Page ended up on a shaky alliance, but did eliminated Benjamin and Haas. Afterwards, the two faced in a match the following week which ended when Benjamin and Haas interfered to make it a No Contest. Heyman told Hardy and Page that maybe SmackDown! was getting a bit bloated with the old guard sticking around, or least...Eric Bischoff's old guard. Heyman made this match and told Matt and Page that the losers must leave SmackDown!. Matt was furious, and while confident, Heyman assured Benjamin and Haas the stipulation goes for them as well. Matt and Page were set to team up for the first time officially on the go-home show, but Benjamin and Haas attacked them before the bell. Will the World's Greatest Tag Team stick to their moniker and put an end to Matt Hardy's time on SmackDown!? Or can Matt and Page coexist on their first time teaming together when it matters most to secure their jobs?
WWE United States Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match
Big Show (C) vs. Kane vs. Test vs. Hardcore Holly
- For nearly a year, Kane, Test, and Big Show have been at each other's throats. Test cost Kane his mask and ever since, Kane has been on a warpath for revenge. He got it at Survivor Series by defeating Test in Hell in a Cell. Unfortunately, he just can't seem to shake Test and Show, who themselves have seen their partnership and friendship on shaky ground. Throw in Hardcore Holly into the mix, whose quest for vengeance on Lesnar has seen him at odds with both Show and Test, further exacerbated by Holly's insistence of attacking and busting open Show, and suddenly, Holly and Kane find themselves at odds. After being Chokeslammed through the stage at the Rumble, Holly was seemingly out of action. But Heyman found it in his heart, and through approval from the doctors, announced that this must end. And it will end at No Way Out. Big Show will defend his US Title against Kane, Test...and a returning Holly! Show was pissed, and tried to argue with Heyman to get out of the match, all to no avail. A Tag Match was announced for the go-home show, but it never took place as Holly was much more interested and beating down Show and Test with a chair. Kane came in and started to help, but an errant shot caused Holly to nail Kane in the back with the chair. Kane and Holly started going at it, and the four-way brawl ended with security having to separate them. Can Holly end his warpath with gold? Will Test survive the odds and walk away as champ? Can Kane unseat his rivals once and for all and claim the US Title? Or will Big Show hold onto his title one more time?
WWE Cruiserweight Title
Rey Mysterio (C) with Jorge Paez vs. Chavo Guerrero with Chavo Classic
- On the SmackDown! after the Rumble, Chavo and Eddie fought one-on-one, neither man caring of their appearance later on in the aforementioned 15-man Rumble. Eddie bloodied Chavo, beating him and Classic down to put a temporary end to their feud. A little bit later, the Chavos had a confrontation with Rey, with Chavo Jr. jealous of Rey's success, especially with "Crossing Borders" being named the theme song for No Way Out. The following week, the Chavos attacked Rey, with Chavo making a claim on the Cruiserweight Title. Heyman made it official, and the Chavos seemed to hold the advantage. Unfortunately, the week after, Jorge Paez interceded and evened the odds. Jorge and Rey are childhood friends, so Jorge said he'd be at ringside for this match. Classic and Jorge had a confrontation a bit later that ended with Jorge knocking the older Chavo out. Will Jorge be the evener that Rey needs to keep his newly won championship? Or can Chavo unseat Rey and claim victory and the Cruiserweight Title?
Triple Threat Match Where the Winner Gets a Shot at the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena vs. Scott Steiner
- With Angle, Cena, and Steiner being the other members of the final four in the aforementioned 15-man Rumble, Heyman decided that the three men will face off in a triple threat match at No Way Out, with the winner getting a shot at the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XX. Things came to ahead when the following week saw Lesnar team with Steiner against Angle and Eddie. Unfortunately, Angle never made it, as he was found unconscious in the back. Cena replaced him, with the former deciding they'd rather brawl around ringside with each other. Cena and Eddie won the match, but Steiner was incensed. The three men confronted each other a bit later, with Angle furious with Cena and Steiner. The three men brawled backstage with security interceding to keep the peace. Which of these three men will go on to WrestleMania to face whomever the World Heavyweight Champion is? Can the Olympic Gold Medalist go on for the second year in a row? Can Cena finally break through that ceiling? Or will Big Poppa Pump return to his main event glory?
World Heavyweight Title
Brock Lesnar (C) vs. Eddie Guerrero
- On the SmackDown! following the Royal Rumble, Heyman announced a 15-Man Royal Rumble where the winner would face Lesnar at No Way Out for the Big Gold Belt. Eddie managed to outlast 14 other men by last eliminating Angle. He and Lesnar immediately were at odds, with Lesnar coming out with a mariachi band to try to "celebrate" Eddie and his "heritage". Eddie was having none of it, and interrupted him, delivering an impassioned promo regarding his addictions. A little bit later, the two ended up brawling in the back, with neither man getting the advantage over the other. The following week, Eddie and Cena beat Lesnar and Steiner in a tag match with Eddie using Cena's chain to low blow Brock while the ref was distracted with Angle. Eddie pinned Lesnar in the middle of the ring. In other related news, Lesnar has recently found his troubles with Hulk Hogan reignited, exacerbated completely when Lesnar attacked Hogan at the Rumble to cost him said match. On a couple Raws after the Rumble, Austin gave Hogan a front row ticket to No Way Out. Austin tells Hogan not to do anything he wouldn't do, but it is confirmed that Hogan will be there! Will Lesnar be distracted by Hogan to keep the title in hand, or will he be able to topple Eddie to walk into WrestleMania still the champion? Or...will Eddie Guerrero utilize Lesnar's distraction to lie, cheat, and steal his way to the top and take his place as the standard bearer for SmackDown!?
