The Road To Wrestlemania is heating up! We've got exciting action in store for you as with weeks to go before Wrestlemania our Intercontinental Champion is in one on one action against Typhoon. The Intercontinental Champion is set to face off against Macho Man Randy Savage at Wrestlemania and WWF Management is currently considering whether or not to make it an official championship match.

Obviously if it was a championship match it would be greatly appreciated by myself, but just a chance to get in the ring with that punk is all I need Vince! I'll be watching him closely here tonight!

Well we also got an update coming from Mr. Perfect tonight. Seein' as Wrestlemania is on the way, he and Ric Flair are set for a rematch from the Royal Rumble and I hear Perfect has a proposition which will certainly kick things up a notch!

The contender for the WWF title and his manager Mr. Fuji also have choice words for WWF Champion Bret Hart and tonight, in our Main Event, THE undertaker is set to face off against one half of The Headshrinkers, Samu. One has to wonder if Razor Ramon will respond to The Undertakler's surprise attack on him last week which saw him put inside a coffin! It's another action packed night tonight HERE ON MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Ken Shamrock VS. El Matador

 

Ken Shamrock's impressive and somewhat terrifying reign of dominance and undefeated streak in single's competition continues as Ken opens this weeks Monday Night Raw to what is becoming a familiar but enjoyable sight for the WWF fans. The slow gaining momentum of the most dangerous man alive continues in another devastating display of raw strength and power from the hands of this wrestling machine against El Matador. Shamrock picks up the win, as expected with his patented Ankle Lock.

Ladies and gentlemen Mean Gene Okerlund here, joined right now by Mr. Perfect! It's been a tumultuous past couple of months for yourself, your rivalry with Ric Flair has gotten personal, it's already seen you see a defeat at the hands of Flair at the Royal Rumble and ever since after that match where The Nature Boy tried to remove you of your hair, things have only heated up since between you two. With the WWF offices confirming that you two will indeed be meeting in the ring again at Wrestlemania, what exactly is on your mind right now regarding the situation with Ric Flair?

Mean Gene you mention my loss at the Royal Rumble against Flair...you mention that moment where he grabbed me by my hair and started snipping away with those scissors...and Gene I'd be lying if I told you I hadn't been thinking about that night. It's a moment gene, which keeps playing in my head, over and over and over again...and hearing Ric Flair's words to me that he's said since that night. How he wanted me to feel lost. How he wanted me to question who I was. How he wanted me to feel, the same way HE felt. stripped of his pride, stripped of hisidentity...and stripped of his dignity. Mean Gene. I am a very proud man, but I will not hesitate to admit, for some time there? Ric Flair succeeded in what he wanted to achieve.

I realize it may be a touchy subject to expand on that and if you wish to leave it at that I understand but I feel as if I have to ask for the fans at home what you mean by that staement?

Ric Flair is partially right about a few things. My career? It hasn't been going the way I want it to lately. I've got the fans behind me now, and that means a lot, but in the ring, in terms of success, in terms of accolades...in terms of being able to carry the moniker of "Mr. Perfect"? I'll admit...Ric Flair had me questioning myself, especially after that night at the Royal Rumble...and I'll also admit for a couple weeks there that Flair had me hesitant, Flair had me where he wanted me and for one moment, just one moment there Flair, you managed to have me asking that dreaded question...just who exactly am I?

If I may say so, I think I speak for the WWF fans when I say we all know exactly who you are and what you have done in this company and that's why through everything you've done these fans now stand behind you the way they do...

Gene that's appreciated, but Flair's right, you can have everyone in the world telling you who you are...but you really need to know yourself to be able to continue in this industry with confidence. Which is why Wrestlemania is so important for me. Once that match was confirmed by WWF Management? I knew this was more than just the grudge match we had at the Rumble. This is more than just a rematch between two wrestlers. This is a fight for our identities! This is a fight for our dignity and Mean Gene...it's a fight to show not just everyone who'll be in attendence there that night, and not just to show the people watching at home, but to show OURSELVES just exactly who we are...which is why I suggest a little poetic justice for Ric Flair here tonight!

What I mean, Gene...is that I'm posing a challenge to Ric Flair regarding our match. He wants to make this about identity? He wants to make this personal? He wants to remove my dignity for him! Then I'll give him the PERFECT chance to do it...what I suggest to YOU Ric Flair...is a Hair VS. Hair match! Whoever loses must have their head SHAVED ENTIRELY after the match and I think we all know the man who is just capable of doing it and will volunteer his services to snip away! I'm talking Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Ric. To make sure neither of us are able to worm our way out of it. Somebody's going to have their identity stripped from them at Wrestlemania Ric..and I promise you. I guarantee you...this time? It won't be me...

Everything that my Yokozuna has done, every body he has broken, every star that he has squashed, EVERY LEGEND THAT HE HAS DESTROYED...has led to Wrestlemania...and you? You are just the final piece of the puzzle Hitman. You can fight with all your might, with each passing second, each passing day, each passing week, but on that night, at Caesar's Palace...your fate is already sealed. All you are trying to fight against right now Hitman? Is the inevitable...and what, pray tell, might you ask is inevitable? What is inevitable is the man that stands here right beside me right now! Owen Hart VS. Yokozuna


 

Owen Hart got a chance to get some sort of retribution against the man who tried to attack him in Yokozuna. The match was one of the highlights of the evening and certainly was different to the usual Yokozuna bout that WWF fans have come to expect. It was, for a matter of fact, competitive. Owen Hart displayed the fight and the tenacity of an underdog, showcasing some of his more acrobatic skills, using his ability to jump, spin and leap around the ring to his advantage against a much alrger and heavier opponent. One particular spot which stood out was when Owen managed to jump up onto Yokozuna's back as Yoko charged at him and tried to headbutt him, Owen then backflipped off of him and hit him with a beautiful, prestine dropkick. The match however, did end as WWF fans expected it would, though much respect is deserved for Owen's efforts. Yoko would pick up the win after a devestating leg drop which took Owen out of the match for the pinfall.

Hulkamania Under Fire...

Now if we may get down to business, last week a welcome back party was organized for you by Macho Man Randy Savage after you made your illustrious return to help him in his fight against Shawn Michaels, a party which was interrupted by the arrival of Lex Luger who was accompanied by a long time enemy of yours. None other, than Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Your thoughts right now on this situation?

Hulk Hogan
Well Gene...I shoulda known it wouldn't have taken that weasel Heenan long before he wormed his way back into my life! He's been a monkey on my back as far as I can remember dude! Ever since Hulkamania was first firing up...Bobby Heenan's been there tying to put out those flames of excitement! With every step of success I took as Iclimbed up the mountain...Bobby Heenan was there to try and push the Hulkster back down and now? Now that Hulkamania's makin' a comeback? A revival tour? Once again, Bobby Heenan has found a way to once again put Hulkamania under fire brother. He's wormed his way into the head of yet another wrestler, brainwashed another talented dude by the name of Lex Luger...and convinced him that the quickest way to the top is doing what so many Heenan family members have failed to do...topple Hulk Hogan, destroy Hulkamania and etch his name into the history books for the rest of time!

Lex Luger hasn't exactly been a fan favorite of the WWF fans and some even consider him as an attempted replacement for yourself. Surely it doesn't come a shock to you that Luger has found himself under the whims of Bobby Heenan?

Hulk Hogan
Does it shock me? Not one bit Mean Gene, Heenan's good at getting into people's heads and no, maybe Lex Luger isn't no fan favorite, but he's a strong guy, he's a jacked dude, he's a talented kid and he JUST MIGHT BE THE ONE...to pose a threat to Hulkamania and Bobby Heenan KNEW that! What saddens me and what disappoints me, is that Lex could have came and laid down the challenge man to man, with honor and with decency and I wouldn't have given a moment of hesitation about it! I'd have signed the dotted line! Agreed to whatever match he wanted and fought with all my might to make sure Hulkamania carries on another day! But with Bobby Heenan by his side? Hulkamania is under fire dude! Once you align yourself with the likes of that weasel?! There's no low you'll stoop to, in order to get the job done! Well Lex...I'm talking to you, if you have even the slightest bit of honor, you'll meet me next week, and shake my hands as we agree on a time and a place for that match you so clearly want brother!? Can you do it? With Heenan by your side I don't think you caan, but I'll certainly look forward to being surprised!

Shawn Michaels VS. Typhoon


 

The intercontinental champion and Typhoon would meet together in what most certainly could have been a match of the night contender. Shawn entered as usual far too confident and sure of himself, that when he was met with the impressive power and strength of Typhoon he quickly had to change strategy. Trying, ijnstead of using the match as a way to showboat and show off like he usually did, he now tried to evade and work around Typhoon, wearing him down with repeated running offence, diving attacks and multiple journeys to the outside of the ring. One particular highlight of the night was when Shawn found himself scoop slammed outside on the hard concrete outside the ring by Typhoon, followed by a hard splash. Eventually and ultimately however, Shawn managed to pick up the win. Hitting Typhoon with a diving crossbody that picked up a flash pinfall for the win.

After The Match

 

After the match Shawn makes his way ringside and heads directly towards Randy Savage at commentary. With no restrictions on Randy now in terms of being able to defend himself against Shawn, Macho Man makes no hesitations to quickly stand up to try and ward Shawn away from the table. Shawn hesitates for a moment, as Randy stands tall, waiting for Shawn to make a move. Shawn takes a dirty cheap shot, spitting at Randy's face. Randy leaps over the commentary table and begins to give chase to Shawn around the ring.Shawn lures Randy into the ring and tries to surprise him with a flurry of kicks and blows once Randy climbs in after him. Savage shakes them off though, the adrenaline and the rage within him fuelling him and the two begin brawling back and forth with one another to the joy of the fans. 



Sherri comes charging in with the IC title from behind, lcocking Randy Savage in the back of the head with it and sending him tumbling to the floor. Shawn stands victorious over the Macho Man and once again, spits in his direction to add insult to injury...

Samu VS. The Undertaker


 

Another opportunity for a member of The Headshrinkers to make a splash and that, Samu certainly does in an impressive showing against The Undertaker. It is arguably a unique showing for The Undertaker. In what is usually a slow paced, hard hitting affair, instead is one which is much faster and actually gave Taker a chance to showcase more of his impressive wrestling skill, showcasing moments for Taker which were actually quite surprisingly technical as he had to adapt in order to be able to deal with Samu's athleticism and agaility. Taker would however, despite Samu's impressive showing be abel to pick up the win, after a hard hitting big boot straight to Samu's face once Samu was trying to make a running attack at the Deadman. Undertaker than hoisted Samu back to his feet, up into the air, then drove him straight back into the mat with a chokeslam to pick up the win.

After The Match

 

After the match Razor Ramon comes rushing from outside the audience, with a steel chair in hand. He wants to get revenge on Taker after last week and belts the deadman across the back with a chair. Undertaker is knocked to his knees but not down to the mat, and slowly gets back up. Ramon smacks him again across the back, again, Taker is brought to his knees but gets back up. Ramon then unleashes, he hits Taker again, bringing the deadman to his knees, the with a mighty swing he strikes Taker again right acorss the back of the head, knocking him to the floor this time and to ensure that Undertaker stays down, he takes another shot, then another, and finally a third with the steel chair before having to throw it away, dented and destroyed. He poses above the Undertaker confidently as Raw fades to black...
