Following the All In pay-per-view event on September 1, 2018, there was speculation abound about a potential new company on the horizon and in early November, several trademarks were filed for several different names. On January 1, 2019, it was officially announced that All Elite Wrestling was to be formed. Tony Khan was confirmed as the President and CEO while Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega were named Executive Vice Presidents with Brandi Rhodes being the Chief Brand Officer. Cody Rhodes would not be allowed to go by his prior ring name and would simply go by Cody.
