Wrestlemania 37 (Smackdown portion)- Full results
Saturday Match 1: Kalisto & Sasha Banks def. Otis & Paige. Sasha Banks gets the win over Paige for her team. (pinfall) (5 minutes) Match 2: SD! Tag Champions Roman Reigns w/Paul Heyman & Jey Uso w/ Naomi def. The Street Profits to retain. Reigns pins Montez Ford with the superman punch and Naomi prevents Angelo Dawkins from making the save. (pinfall) (15:45 minutes) Match 3: SD! Women's Champion Bianca def Bayley to retain the title. (pinfall) (10 minutes)
Sunday Match 1: Aleister Black def Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable by DQ. Analysis: This could have been the sleeper match of the show, albeit for the anti-climatic ending. Black kicked out of a half dozen nearfalls by Gable during the match, including Gable's finisher 'Chaos Theory'. Black also escaped the ankle lock late in the match. Near the end as Black was gathering momentum, a goof dressed up as some type of Olympic mascot interfered on Gable's behalf causing the dq. Why? (17:30 minutes)
Bonus matches added to the card: Match 2: Tag team contest: Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez & William Regal def Farooq & Mark Henry. Mark Henry turns on Farooq allowing ADR to lock in his armbar submission hold. Farooq is unresponsive as the referee checks him over. (knockout victory) (6 minutes). After the match William Regal celebrates as if he had won the World Series of Baseball.
Backstage Interview confrontation between Daniel Bryan & Batista leads to a match.
Match 3: WM 30 grudge match: Daniel Bryan def Batista (pinfall- Batista Bomb reversal into small package) (12 minutes).
Beep! Beep! Beep! Out comes ADR along with his ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez for one final time tonight. ADR thanks the fans for welcoming him and Ricardo back for tonight only? As ADR is about to leave, Kane's music plays. Kane comes out and chokeslams ADR. He knocks Ricardo to the mat as well for good measure. (3 minutes)
Hall of Fame Inductees for 2021 (several minutes)
Match 4: Mojo Rawley & Jaxson Ryker def. Titus O Neil & Hollywood Hulk Hogan after a short match (4:30 minutes) (pinfall). At the match' conclusion, Triple H passes the sledgehammer to Mojo Rawley, who uses it on Titus O Neil to get the win. Post match Triple H & Mojo Rawley embrace.
Main Event package for the tile match between Reigns and Edge.
Main Event: Edge def Roman Reigns w/ Paul Heyman to win the Universal Championship! The winner of this year's Royal Rumble goes on to win the tile this time around. Heyman accidentally costs Reigns the match after interfering from the ring apron, then spear for the 1-2-3 victory. (pinfall) (18:45 minutes)

Hi,
Here is an idea if WWE was to bring back King of the Ring on PPV, Sunday, June 20.
The Story John Cena returns to Smackdown before the PPV takes place with the aim to finally break Ric Flair's 16 time world title win record. Ric Flair responds saying that he's not going to just hand it over to Cena, as that flies in the face of everything he has worked so hard to achieve in his own career. Flair says he will submit an idea through the WWE hierarchy, and will expect an answer next week.
At the next show (or soon thereafter), An official lets the public know that Flair has asked for a hand-picked superstar to represent him in a match against John Cena at King of the Ring. WWE accepts this request. This brings Ric Flair to the ring. Ric Flair introduces Cena's opponent, a man he believes would have been a good fit for the horsemen based on his ability to inflict pain on another & his resolve as a competitor........... This man enters the ring in cowboy attire ......
The Match John Cena vs Aleister Black w/ Ric Flair

My plans were to have Aleister Black go over Cena @ King of the Ring. Cena would take a break from competition. Black was to be somewhere near the Intercontinental title scene over the summer with possible match-ups against Apollo Crews, Mustafa Ali, Chad Gable &/or Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso on the cards.
However since Aleister Black was released by WWE earlier this month, the match against John Cena @ King of the Ring is scrapped.

Hi,
I'm back and am ready to book some action packed pro-wrestling cards! I will be writing cards for the SD! brand again up until SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, 2021.
I have been ruminating on how best I can present the brand over the past two & half months, mulling over both story line aspects & looking to improve SD! at a conceptual/ process level. For me this meant reading posts by other members of the Internet Wrestling Community, watching various professional wrestling shows and listening to the "83 weeks" & "after 83 weeks with Christy Olson" podcasts + more.
Since we last met back in April, WWE made the decision to release various talent, some of which featured prominently on my shows. Notable releases include Aleister Black, Mojo Rawley & Kalisto.
Listed below are some other noteworthy updates on talent before we start: -The current champions as at June 22, 2021 are:
Universal Champion: Azeez; SD! Women's Champion Bianca Belair; IC Champ: Apollo Crews; Tag Champs: Roman Reigns & Jey Uso
- Chad Gable (return from injury imminent: Kayfabe.) - Big E. (Injured badly (Kayfabe) at the hands of Azeez & Apollo Crews at the King of the Ring PPV.). He won't be available to be booked on shows for several weeks. - A number of superstars not used last time have been reinstated to the main show. E.g. Dominik Mysterio & Seth Rollins booked for the first show. - Mustafa Ali & Jaxson Ryker now compete on Raw.
- My booking this time round may feature plenty of what I call "1 vs 2 challenger" matches. The match generally pits one "big" guy against two "smaller" opponents. But there will be exceptions to this. An individual or team still wins by traditional means such as pinfall, submission, count-out, disqualification or by points decision* (M.P., 24/06). The team of 2 must tag in & out of the ring, unless stated otherwise.
* A points system will not be utilised unless this stipulation is announced before the match begins.
There is no handicap for the "big guy" or the "smaller opponents" in this contest. Why? A stronger individual should be able to draw from their high-impact arsenal/ moveset & "strike" two smaller opponents. Conversely the smaller guys should be technically sound enough to be able to resist an attack from a "bigger" guy. Turning defence into offence in the process. So it balances out In my opinion.
Here is the scheduled card for Smackdown on Friday, June 25, 2021 (Tampa, Florida) [card subject to change] + Dominik Mysterio & Montez Ford vs Otis: 1 vs 2 "challenger" match + 1 match only: Angelo Dawkins vs Seth Rollins + Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso vs Roman Reigns: 1 vs 2 "challenger" match + Main Event (Non title contest): Sami Zayn & Dolph Ziggler vs Universal Champion Commander Azeez: 1 vs 2 "challenger" match

The Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso vs Roman Reigns match will not take place because the participants have refused to wrestle one another. Instead the match is now Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso vs Baron Corbin: 1 vs 2 "Challenger" match.

Further details I forgot to mention in my previous post regarding the rules of "the challenger" that distinguishes it from a traditional Pro- Wrestling tag match:
1. The contests on Friday Night SD! have a 10 minute tv time limit. In the event that an individual or team does not achieve victory before time lapses, the contest will be declared a draw, unless a points system has been acknowledged by all parties beforehand.
2. The in-ring participant that has a partner situated on the ring apron can only tag out if he/she successfully executes an offensive maneuver on his/her opponent. If this is in doubt, the official in charge has the final say on the matter.
3. An in-ring participant that has a partner situated on the ring apron may also tag out if his/her opponent wildly misses while making an attacking play. The official in charge has the final say.
4. The participant of the team of two situated on the ring apron may not get involved in the action except for the next written provision (point 5). The consequences are automatic disqualification; your team loses. But anything goes as long as you are not caught by the official in charge. The official in charge has the final say.
5. The in- ring participant may call his/her partner in to the ring for a double- team play provided he/her is either a) ready for an offensive play or b) is already in the process of making an offensive play. The window of opportunity is available for a "reasonable" time. The official in charge must use their discretion here. If a double- team play is successfully performed, the in-ring participant can opt to stay in the ring or swap with his/her partner. Double- team plays allowed outside the ring provided points 5a or 5b are satisfied.
Regards, Mike

Hi,
Before I write up the results of the show, a reminder that the current champions are: Universal Champion: Azeez SD! Women's Champion: Bianca Belair Intercontinental Champion: Apollo Crews SD! Tag Champs: Roman Reigns & Jey Uso
Injury list: Big E. (out for 6-7 weeks); Chad Gable (1 week); Kevin Owens (1 week)
Smackdown results, June 25, 2021 @ Tampa, Florida (Show length: 90 minutes) (show begins @ 7:30 p.m.)
1. SD! Introduction package 2. Commentators welcome; Commentators explain the rules of "the challenger" to fans, but this ends up being rushed because the show has started late. The competitors are already in the ring. 3. Match 1: Dominik Mysterio & Montez Ford vs Otis- 1 vs 2 "Challenger" match. Booker's note: As the match began late, it is now reduced to 7 minutes. (Current time 7:33 p.m.) But as the match is getting underway, there is commotion backstage. A backstage altercation between Baron Corbin, Apollo Crews & Azeez. Momentarily, tv viewers are unable to see the in-ring action. This is happening in the locker-rom area. Apollo rubs it in that Baron Corbin can no longer refer to himself as he did not win the King of the Ring tournament last Sunday. (Booker's note: The reader can opt for their own winner as I did not book the tournament this year. My pick back in May was Braun Strowman). Apollo says that there is a royal figure present on the blue brand. He points to his royal bodyguard, Azeez.
A split screen appears so we can witness both the in- ring action as well as what is happening backstage.
A brawl ensues between Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin. Azeez seems to be held back by various SD! officials. Baron Corbin seems to get the best of Apollo Crews. Apollo Crews comes off relatively unscathed though.
The In-ring match itself ends in a draw after neither individual or the team of two were able to gain a decisive fall; Dominik Mysterio & Montez Ford vs Otis: Draw (7 minutes) (Time: 7:40 p.m.).
4. Commercial break 5. Backstage Sami Zayn & Dolph Ziggler are waving their fraudulent doctors certificates at Adam Pearce in the hope that their match against Azeez is cancelled tonight. However, Adam Pearce is busy talking on his mobile. 6. The next 15-20 minutes is allotted for Women's wrestling. 1 Segment + 1 match.
During the Women's match, the commentator's announce that Roman Reigns, Rey Mysterio & Robert Roode will feature in post show matches. Fans watch this exclusively on WWE.com? (Time 8:00 p.m.).
6. Commercial break 7. Match 3: Angelo Dawkins vs Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins def. Angelo Dawkins by Pinfall via stomp. (5 minutes) (8:08 p.m.) 8. Backstage Sami Zayn tries to "Buddy up" to Azeez & Apollo Crews. Apollo seems dazed here, Azeez screams back using foreign language. Cut scene (8:10 p.m.)
That's half the show complete. I will write up the remainder tomorrow. Thanks.

Part II: SD! @ Tampa, Florida (Show length 90 minutes) (Current time: 8:11 p.m.)
9. Match 4: Baron Corbin def. Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso via pinfall (1 vs 2 "Challenger" Match). (8 1/2 minutes)
Corbin exploits Jimmy Uso's weakened knee. Corbin works over Jimmy Uso & achieves victory via his wind-up slam. Booker's note: decent match; Uso's tag experience shown here.
10. Production crew are scrambling about backstage... mmmm; Chad Gable arrives & receives a pop from the WWE Universe; Dolph Ziggler & Sami Zayn try one last time to get out of their match. The SD! official says they're too late because the match is up next! The official wishes them good luck. (Time 8:22 p.m.) 11. Commerical break
I'm taking another break from writing. I will be back within 10 hours.
Regards, Mike.

Three points I need to raise before I continue to post the results of this show: 1. Darby Allin was not re-signed to the SD! brand after Wrestlemania 37. 2. Chad Gable was taken out of action by an assailant at a nightclub shortly after Wrestlemania 37. This person was revealed as one of Aleister Black's Cronies. Gable returns tonight (25/06) after almost two months. 3. I will not be posting the result of tonight's post-show match: Tag: Roman Reigns & Rey Mysterio vs Robert Roode & ???????
SD! 25/06/2021 Part II Continued 12. Main Event: Dolph Ziggler & Sami Zayn vs Azeez (No Contest); Sami Zayn gets nailed with the Nigerian nail by Azeez before the timekeeper has any chance to ring the bell; Sami Zayn rolled out & attended to by medics. 13. let's try this again.... Main Event: Dolph Ziggler & Unknown vs Azeez: (Azeez pins unknown talent via a big boot.) (5 minutes). (Current time (8:35 p.m.)
Booker's note: Dolph is solid here. When he is in the ring with Azeez, he makes the big man look incredibly silly at times. However Dolph tagged out, Azeez was quick to wrest back the momentum.
14. Commercial break 15. Bonus Match: 10 man Battle Royal: The winner receives a title shot @ next week's show.
The participants included all of tonight's "survivor's" : Jey Uso, Apollo Crews, Azeez, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Dominik Mysterio, Montez Ford, Otis, Seth Rollins +1.
Jey Uso eliminates Montez Ford last to win the match (6:30 minutes); Dominik Mysterio & Otis were the other two that made up the 'final four'. (Current time 8:43 p.m.)
16. Commerical break 17. As we come back for the last quarter hour the aisle and the ring has been laid out elaborately: blue carpet. In the ring we also see a lectern + a coat & hat stand holding yep, a coat & a baggy blue hat.
Adam Pearce and one SD! official head out to the ring. Pearce reminds us a Smackdown superstar did not win the King of the Ring tournament on Sunday. He adds that there will not be a king on the blue brand. However, SD! officials have put their heads together and have made a decision. Since there is no reigning monarch, the SD! superstars themselves will choose a leader to represent them. The elected leader will be officially recognised as the team's 'captain'. The vote was conducted during the week. Every SD! superstar on the roster had one nomination to cast.
Pearce briefly outlines what a captain does, namely that they have the responsibility to plan & organise selected talent, and call them into action where required.
Without further ado, let's warmly welcome Captain.............. Chad Gable.
Chad Gable enters the ring, all smiles. He gets a nice pop from the Universe. Gable is presented with his white blazer & hat by the official standing beside Pearce. The faces come out to shake Chad Gable's hand. (12 minutes)
-End Show-
A quick summary of the results of tonight's show (25/06) below: Montez Ford & Dominik Mysterio vs Otis (time limit draw) Women's Seth Rollins def. Angelo Dawkins (pinfall) Baron Corbin def. Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso in a 1 vs 2 "challenger" match Dolph Ziggler & Sami Zayn vs Azeez (No contest) Azeez def. Dolph Ziggler & Unknown talent: 1 vs 2 "Challenger" Jey Uso won a 10 man battle royal to earn a title shot
See you next time. Mike
