5:22 p.m. Match 3: Finn Balor & Rey Mysterio def. Commander Azeez in a "1 vs 2" non-title match (referee's decision); A tiring Azeez hobbles backstage.

5:27p.m. SummerSlam fan access; SD! officials inform Robert Roode & Finn Balor that their upcoming match is a non-title bout because Roode is "too over".

5:30 p.m. Apollo Crews + Commander Azeez+ Adam Pearce: Apollo Crews argues that Commander Azeez should not have to defend his title later as he has already competed in three mini-matches today.
Commander Azeez signals that he's fine. Adam Pearce interjects and says " your team has another problem. Dolph Ziggler has failed to show up to Allegiant Stadium. Unless you can find another partner,
the match will go ahead as planned- a "2 on 3" handicap match. Commander Azeez & Apollo Crews are displeased with this announcement.

5:35 p.m. Match 4: Non- title: Robert Roode def. Intercontinental Championship Finn Balor in a classic back and forth match that lasted for 20+ minutes. Booker's note: Match of the Day.

6:05 p.m. Match 5: Triple Threat Match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship: Nikki A.S.H. (c) vs Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley

6:23 p.m.  The 6 man tag for The Universal & SD! Tag Championships are next. The faces- A.D. & John Cena are shown arriving at Allegiant stadium earlier today.

6:30 p.m.  Match 6: John Cena wins the World title for a 17th time by pinning the Commander Azeez following an Attitude Adjustment. (11:30 minutes)

- The Commander Azeez character came to an end after he was pinned by John Cena at SummerSlam. In this dynasty he will now be referred to as "Babatunde" & he is from Poland.
- Otis is rested for tonight. 
- All winners tonight will form part of a qualifying list to represent SD! at Crown Jewel.

Dark Match: SD! Tag Title match: Babatunde & Rick Boogs def. Champions "The Street Profits" to win the titles.

Main Show:

Match 1: Brock Lesnar def. Chad Gable & Dominik Mysterio (pinfall) (6 minutes); Dominik Mysterio took the fall.

The next twenty minutes is allocated to women's wrestling including a promo from Belair/Lynch prior to their match Sunday;
Also taking place for two minutes-Adam Pearce has an announcement regarding a match he has scheduled for tonight.
He shows a trophy. He tells us that this trophy will be presented to the best "team player" on Smackdown. SD! officials have elected have Angelo Dawkins and Apollo Crews to do battle for this award.

Match 2: Montez Ford & Finn Balor vs WWE Champion Big E. ends in a time limit draw (6 minutes)

Match 3: Adam Pearce defeats Boa to qualify for Crown Jewel event (7:30 minutes).

Match 4: Robert Roode def. Montez Ford (pinfall) (6 minutes) 

Main Event: Angelo Dawkins vs Apollo Crews ends in a no contest due to interference from superstars from NXT. (5 minutes)

1. I'm not booking this weeks Smackdown (10/01) because it's a draft show. The SD! winners on this show will join those already on the qualifying list for Crown Jewel; Final week to qualify.

The five draft picks I would choose for SD!:

5. Apollo Crews

2. Plans have changed due to the recent happenings across WWE shows Raw & SD!. Every episode of SD! (excluding this weeks draft show) up to November 19, 2021 will pit SD! & NXT Superstars against one another.

Furthermore the Crown Jewel PPV event in Saudi Arabi will be rebranded- Superstars from Raw & SD! will join forces to take on competitors from WWE NXT.
Officials representing the WWE board will select members of Team WWE (Raw & SD!) from the qualifying lists of the two brands. Conversely the same will take place for the WWE NXT brand.

At the end of every SD! show, the team with the most wins will receive 1 point. The team with the most wins at Crown Jewel & Survivor Series events will receive 3 points.

This is set to end when Survivor Series 2021 takes place in Brooklyn, New York on November 21, 2021. The team with the most wins at the conclusion of this PPV will be awarded the Team WWE vs Team WWE NXT trophy.
