- So, what happened to David von Erich? David has been given time off and will also be loaned somewhere else as well. This is purely for storyline purposes, but the angle worked really well. David is clearly the top von Erich at this point and he will hopefully benefit from what I have in store for him

- The Sportatorium can now sit 20300 fans

- Fritz von Erich approached me at the office and gave me another goal: he wants Ric Flair to be 71/100 in terms of popularity in the whole country. This will be reviewed in 18 months. Flair's popularity is already there, so I just need to keep it consistent and, as he's the most paid member of the roster, I understand why Fritz asked for this. The other goals are under control as well

- WCCW TV is now also shown in Canada! A super tiny TV station has agreed to carry the show during late nights. It's surely better than no coverage at all

- News from the wrestling world: Ken Patera has signed an exclusive deal with the WWF; Chavo Guerrero has criticized Giant Baba for the way he's been booked; CWA's TV show has been moved to a graveyard slot due to poor ratings

On stage Bill Mercer interviews Fritz von Erich, asking him about what happened with David last week. Fritz says David is gone and WCCW must go on instead, so he books 2 matches for Star Wars: the returning Buddy Roberts vs. his replacement Jimmy Garvin; Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes vs. Kerry and Kevin von Erich! Gary Hart is on commentary and seems upset, saying Fritz named him commissioner and shouldn't book matches himself (82)

Brian Adias def. Bill Irwin in 4:49 by rollup. Terry Taylor and Magnum TA observe the match at ringside (62)

Postmatch Taylor and Magnum jump in the ring and attack Adias, until Tito Santana makes the save (59)

The Fantastics def. Chris Adams & Tommy Rich and Magic Dragon & Checkmate (w/ Arman Hussein) in 7:02 when Fulton pins Dragon (68)

On stage Bill Mercer interviews Dick Murdoch, who calls Stan Hansen out, saying that he beat King Kong Bundy and injured Skandor Akbar... but he's still here! Hansen quickly arrives and attacks Murdoch, until security manage to stop them. Gary Hart yells at them to calm down and signs the match for Star Wars! (80)

Buddy Roberts def. Michael Hayes in 9:32 by DQ when Jimmy Garvin interferes (82)

Postmatch Garvin and Hayes, plus the reluctant Terry Gordy, attack Roberts. The crowd yells for the von Erichs, but nobody shows up (81)

In ring Bobby Heenan introduces the Midnight Express, Ted DiBiase and Ric Flair, the Four Horsemen! The Horsemen are suited and booted and Flair says that they are all champions (DiBiase seems upset, but Flair says he'll get the title back soon) and all hated by the fans because they are not from Texas and refuse to be cheated by promoters! With the agent Heenan, they are now a team and will make more money than anyone before, because when you mess with a Horsemen you mess with all 4 of them. MNX say they have a surprise for Flair and go on the isle to get it, but the Rock & Roll Express attack them! Flair and DiBiase want to help them, but here come the Funk Brothers! It's a war and the Horsemen run for their lives! (82)

Show notes

- Last week's show did wonders in promoting this one: the added seats were not enough and I sold out again, plus 0.82 is the best rating ever!

- Flair looked like a star and carried the whole segment, combining his feud with the MNX/RR seemed to help both of them

- All von Erichs were kept off the show to increase the drama, but Kevin and Kerry will return next week

- Roberts was quite over as a babyface and his chemistry with Hayes helped the main event

- The crowd wasn't happy with Taylor apparently. Sherri's turn seemed forced, while Magnum completely tarnished his new partner

The Horsemen have an interesting set of rivals in your save. One must be wondering about a War Games type of match soon. Didn't you have a similar one?

The card for Easter Star Wars seems a bit weaker than the latest Star Wars, but most of it (including the main event) is still under the cloth. I have some nice hopes!

Btw, you CAN'T fool me. David is NOT gone.

- Some more minor backstage drama happened at a house show, as Dick Murdoch and Robert Gibson got into an argument. A couple of colleagues are siding with Murdoch, but most of the locker room just ignored the incident

- The Sportatorium can now sit 22400 fans

- As Stampede Wrestling keeps collapsing, I have signed both Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid to a development deal

- On the other hand, Samu's excursion in Mexico has expired and I have quietly got ride of him

- News from the wrestling world: NJPW is now a medium company as well; SECW has officially closed down due to their financial state; rookie Shane Douglas was interviewed and seemed frustrated about the lack of opportunities he's getting

Postmatch Bill Mercer interviews the von Erichs, who apologize for taking a week off, but the family drama was really upsetting. When asked about David, Kerry jumps up and starts blaming him, but Kevin moves the microphone and says they rather not talk about David at this point. They know that The Freebirds are not in the house tonight and can't wait to face them at Star Wars (87)

Tito Santana (w/ Sunshine) def. Terry Taylor (w/ Sherri) by countout in 7:18 when Taylor decides not to continue. Both Brian Adias and Magnum TA join ringside to support respectively Santana and Taylor. Gary Hart announces that Taylor vs. Adias will take place at Star Wars, as Taylor missed their previous match due to an injury (70)

On stage Bill Mercer interviews The Fantastics, who are happy about winning their match last week and say that this should lead them to a title shot, Midnight Express have 7 days to confirm that this will happen as they agreed because they watched their backs several times. Chris Adams and Tommy Rich approach them and want a rematch, as they were not pinned in the three way, and the Fantastics agree (58)

Buddy Roberts def. Dick Murdoch by DQ in 7:59 when Murdoch uses a chair to send a message to Stan Hansen, who is watching from the stage (64)

On stage Bill Mercer interviews Mr. X, who threatens Great Kabuki and blames him for almost blinding him with the mist 2 months ago. X says that he agreed to put his mask on the line as he wants Kabuki's hair to be shaved so everybody can see his ugly face. X thanks Chris Adams and Tommy Rich for the support, but doesn't want them to interfere at Star Wars because this is too personal! (65)

Ric Flair & Ted DiBiase (w/ Bobby Heenan) def. Rock & Roll Express in 12:34 when DiBiase pins Gibson using the black glove, thanks to MNX distracting the referee (81)

Postmatch the Horsemen celebrate, but the Funks get on the stage! Terry says that it's Easter Star Wars soon and so he's got a surprise for them, because he convinced Gary Hart to book this: a 8 men tag match, Horsemen versus Rock & Roll and The Funks! (85)

Show notes

- The crowd loved the main event and the final angle was also well received. It's always nice to see other stuff getting taken seriously as main event, apart from von Erichs and Freebirds. If nothing goes wrong, the Horsemen can be around for a long time

- The von Erichs are clearly in a dramatic phase and so I got an easy match for them. Michaels and Jannetty made their TV debut and seemed quite energetic, they showed a lot of potential. As the Birds were not on the show this time around, this will hopefully only create more anticipation for their next match against each others

- While Santana and Taylor had a good match, the crowd was heavily cheering for Magnum TA. I will need to monitor this as TA's support can spoil his heel work

- The Fantastics' feud with MNX have been under track for a couple of reasons: firstly, there are bigger things going on, but I am also aware of the heat that Fulton is getting backstage

Signing The British Bulldogs is amazing: Dynamite Kid will blend in just great in a roster full of local douchebags! Also, I'm now imagining Shane Douglas and Eddie Gilbert making a bratty asshole duo.

Oh yeah, we have a great main event for Star Wars now. I predict The Four Horsemen winning, of course, but they will have a tough challenge! The card doesn't seem any minor than the other most recent ones anymore. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm also looking forward to your usual go-home show.

That's a really great Star Wars card though.

I am running my own version of SECW and we're anything but bankrupt right now.
