March 12th - 18th 1984
- This was such a quiet and slow week... and I needed one, given the recent drama!
- David von Erich has relocated and now resides in Mid Atlantic, he's the first von Erich to get away form the family. This was published in the dirt sheets and, given the current angle I'm running, it's actually great
- News from the wrestling world: Dusty Rhodes has divorced (no Cody?!); ICW is now a tiny company; The Spoiler trashed me in an interview (I fired him over a year ago!)

Dallas, TX
Attendance: 18235
TV rating:
Show rating: 82
Kevin von Erich (w/ Kerry von Erich) def. Michael Hayes (w/ Terry Gordy and Jimmy Garvin) in 10:57 with a roll up. The announcers are relieved about the fact that the von Erichs have finally gotten some momentum going into Star Wars (86)
Taped Buddy Roberts promo on The Freebirds. Roberts says that he was living his life on the east coast, before Michael Hayes asked him to leave his family and follow him to Texas to change his life. He did, but for the worse, because he had the guts to turn on him after all he did for you. Roberts says he will deal with Hayes another day, but at Star Wars he's got Jimmy Garvin, the man that took his spot, and will show him that he's at the wrong place at the wrong time! (78)
Magnum TA (w/ Terry Taylor and Sherri) def. Hector Guerrero in 5:52 with a belly to belly suplex (65)
Backstage Bill Mercer interviews Brian Adias and Tito Santana. Adias thanks Santana for watching his back against TA and Taylor, Santana says that he will do it at Star Wars as well and will kick those degenerates out of Texas as best as he can (64)
Chris Adams, Tommy Rich & Mr. X def. Great Kabuki & The Fantastics (w/ Arman Hussein) in 7:14 when Adams pins Kabuki after a superkick after X pulls Kabuki's hair. During the match, Bobby Heenan approaches The Fantastics with a briefcase, but they refuse it and keep wrestling. While announcing, Hart signs Adams/Rich vs. Fantastics for Star Wars (65)
On stage Bill Mercer is interviewing Stan Hansen, but Dick Murdoch arrives from behind and attacks Hansen! The two big men fight all over ringside for a few minutes, until security manage to hold them apart! (75)
Terry Funk def. Ted DiBiase (w/ Bobby Heenan) by DQ in 10:09 when The Horsemen interfere (82)
Postmatch The Horsemen want to beat Funk down, but Dory Jr and Rock & Roll Express promptly make the save! The Horsemen quickly leave the ring, except Bobby Eaton! The babyfaces punch Eaton and Terry finishes him with a DDT, while The Horsemen watch from the stage and are a bit concerned about the Star Wars match! (84)
Show notes
- I will need to promote more appealing matches and promos for the weekly TV shows, as attendance has taken a step back. I have done 20k a few weeks ago and now I did 18k, even though it's a good number and the momentum for the show is still quite positive
- On the other hand, 0.83 is the best rating so far
- The Horsemen were the main event act once again and the crowd has now embraced it. Flair is the true MVP, everything he touches turns into gold, but I will still use him carefully on the weekly events
- von Erichs vs. Freebirds is still hot and, as shown by the opener, preserving their matches is a good strategy because the crowd loved the opener
- Magnum TA keeps having good matches and his character is getting tweaked a bit, hopefully fans will accept him as a heel now
- The rest of the show was quite solid and that's satisfying, most midcarders have been here for some time and are well established
