Sunday, Week 4, April 2014 Extreme Rules Preview THE MIZ AND BAD NEWS BARRETT VS. SANTINO MARELLA AND R-TRUTHIt The Miz was injured in a dark match against R-Truth right after Wrestlemania, which put him out of action for the foreseeable future. The WWE Universe knew that The Awesome One wouldn't miss the chance to be featured on WWE programming and embarked on a journey to find a tag team to manage. He scouted a couple of WWE superstars and eventually settled on Bad News Barrett. Their efforts to find a third member to their newly founded group led them to Damien Sandow, a once high-profile superstar, who's star power has diminished, but they know he's destined to great things. They interfered in Sandow's matches in the Intercontinental Championship tournament, which allowed him to defeat Santino in the finals to win the tournament. The Miz and Barrett's actions angered the two new best friends R-Truth and Santino who challenged the pair to a match at Extreme Rules. Miz was eventually cleared to compete and accepted the match. Will the newfound friendship of Santino and Truth triumph over the odd pairing of Miz and Barrett ?FANDANGO AND SUMMER RAE VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER AND KELLY KELLY Another feud who started during the Intercontinental Championship tournament is the one between Dolph Ziggler and Fandango. Ziggler started April trying to stay relevant and suffered losses against the likes of Brodus Clay and Jack Swagger. The former World Champion didn't look like himself, but that was until Ziggler was seduced by the returning Kelly Kelly. With the former Divas Champion by his side, Ziggler was able to pick up a series of wins, including one over Fandango in the tournament. The Ballroom dancer and his partner asked for a rematch a couple of weeks later, during which Fandango snapped and hit Ziggler with a low-blow and assaulted Ziggler after the bell. Kelly Kelly started to unload on Summer Rae, which prompted Fandango to stop. The pair has a mixed tag team match to settle their differences.
TRIPLE H AND RANDY ORTON VS. THE SHIELD (ROMAN REIGNS AND SETH ROLLINS)The Shield easily defeated the Authority’s henchmen Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and Kane at Wrestlemania, but their grudge against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon didn’t end there. They spent the last few months breaking up the Authority’s plan and defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. Triple H ran out of people to send after the duo of Reigns and Rollins and decided to team up with Randy Orton against the pair at Extreme Rules. Will the Authority be able to stop The Shield for once ?CESARO W/ PAUL HEYMAN VS. JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTER The two former Real Americans have been at each other throats since Cesaro eliminated Swagger from the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania, before winning the whole thing. It looks like Cesaro saw bigger things coming for himself and dumped Colter and aligned himself with Paul Heyman. Over the next few weeks, Cesaro claimed to be held back by his former allies and held the Cesaro challenge to prove his talents. Swagger imitated him on SmackDown and the two have been on fire. To prove who’s the better of the two, they challenged one another to an I Quit Match to prove who is the toughest between the two.
DAMIEN SANDOW VS BIG E LANGSTON (C) FOR THE WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPBig E Langston asked for better competition and Stephanie McMahon answered by setting up a tournament to crown a new #1 contender for Big E. Sixteen superstars entered, but only one came out on top: Damien Sandow. It didn’t come without help though, as Sandow was saved on a couple occasions by The Miz and Bad News Barrett, despite never asking for their help. In order to keep Sandow in check and prevent another outside interference, Big E made the match into a strap match, meaning the two will always be linked to one another. Will Big E overpower the Intellectual Saviour, or will Sandow find another way to steal a win ?BRAY WYATT VS JOHN CENA the Wyatt family leader has been after Cena for a while and he was enraged after the face of the WWE defeated him on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Wyatt’s craziness knows no bounds and he really spiraled out of control. He started carrying a severed head to the ring and was easily distracted during his matches, often seen talking to himself or speaking to an unknown being. The leader of the Cenation has promised the WWE Universe that he’ll never back down from a fight with Wyatt. Will Wyatt finally be able to beat Cena ?
NIKKI BELLA VS AJ LEE (C) FOR THE WWE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIPNikki Bella appeared to be the only credible contender for AJ Lee heading to Extreme Rules, as she pinned Lee during a tag team match, but it’s a diva not involved in the match that caught the WWE Universe’s attention the most. Kharma has returned to the company, often seen knocking down Divas mid match. She’s working for someone else though, that’s been stalking AJ Lee for a while. Will Nikki Bella be able to have a clean match or will Kharma and her employer be involved in the match ?
BATISTA VS. DEAN AMBROSE (C) FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Dean Ambrose was too busy fighting off the Authority to defend his United States Championship at Wrestlemania, but the Auhority wouldn’t let it slide at Extreme Rules. While they were trying to find a contender to end Ambrose’s long reign, the loose cannon Batista went behind the Authority’s back and book himself in a match against Ambrose with Kane’s help. The Shield then made fun of the chants directed at Batista, which The Animal vowed to make him regret and prove that he can, in fact, wrestle.
KANE VS. DANIEL BRYAN (C) FOR THE WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPDaniel Bryan overcame the odds and won the title at Wrestlemania XXX, angering the Authority beyond belief. They vowed to make his life hell and to take the title from him. After Randy Orton was unsuccessful, Kane, after he was given full power on SmackDown, forced Bryan to sign a contract to face him at Extreme Rules. Bryan spent the rest of the lead-up to Extreme Rules fighting in imposed handicap matches and running away from the Authority, while Kane had a falling off with Triple H and Randy Orton. It doesn’t look like the COO and the Viper appreciated Kane’s decision to book himself in the main event. Will Kane get his wish to be WWE Champion once again or will Bryan be able to defeat him ? Even the Authority could get involved if it doesn’t go their way, but will they ?WWE EXTREME RULES CARD
The Miz and Bad News Barrett vs. Santino Marella and R-Truth (Pre-Show) Dolph Ziggler and Kelly Kelly vs. Fandango & Summer Rae (Pre-Show) The Shield (Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) vs. Triple H and Randy Orton (Falls Count Anywhere) The Usos (c) vs. The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) (Tornado Tag Match) Jack Swagger vs. Cesaro (I Quit Match) Big E vs. Damien Sandow for the WWE Intercontinental Championship Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena (Extreme Rules Match) AJ Lee (c) vs. Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Batista for the WWE United States Championship Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kane for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Extreme Rules Match)

Sunday, Week 4, April 2014 Extreme Rules 2014 THE MIZ AND BAD NEWS BARRETT VS. SANTINO MARELLA AND R-TRUTHThe two new tag teams battled it out on the pre-show, but despite a valiant effort from the two popular babyfaces, it was The Miz and Bad News Barrett who came out victorious following a vicious Bullhammer Elbow on Santino as he was pulling out the Cobra. Following the match, as Miz and Barrett celebrated, Truth was supportive of Santino and they walked back together to the locker room. Miz and Barrett announced that they're done looking for a new partner and they'll team together instead. That's just the beginning for them and the WWE Universe better watch out.FANDANGO AND SUMMER RAE VS. DOLPH ZIGGLER AND KELLY KELLY Dolph Ziggler and Kelly Kelly worked well as a team, but everyone must feel bad for Fandango. Summer Rae was the weak link and was eventually pinned by Kelly Kelly after a K2. Fandango had the upper hand on Ziggler during the match, so it must be frustrating for him to lose. Following the match, Fandango didn't help Summer Rae and left her in the ring alone. Is it the end of their partnership ?
TRIPLE H AND RANDY ORTON VS. THE SHIELD (ROMAN REIGNS AND SETH ROLLINS)This match was all over the place and wild brawl from start to finish. Using the freedom of the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation, The Shield and The Authority battled it out in the crowd and in the backstage area, where they had a little help from Sheamus, but he was taken out by Dean Ambrose who hit him behind the head with his US Title belt. At one point, Triple H locked Seth Rollins in a locker room and the odds seemed in the Authority's favor, until Rollins reappeared and hit the Curb Stomp on both Triple H and Orton on the entrance ramp. They then hit the Double Powerbomb on Orton, landing on the concrete floor below the entrance ramp for the win.THE WYATT FAMILY VS THE USOS (C) Anything goes in a tornado tag team match and it didn't work in the Usos' favor at all. Harper and Rowan teamed up together at the same time were too much to handle for the Samoans as the Wyatt Family members were vicious and merciless, hitting the Usos with chairs and baseball bats. They even used the head Bray Wyatt carries to the ring. The Wyatts win their first tag team championship on the main roster after a vicious discus lariat from Luke Harper on Jimmy Uso for the 1-2-3.
CESARO W/PAUL HEYMAN VS. JACK SWAGGER W/ ZEB COLTERJack Swagger had a game plan going into the match to target Cesaro's ankle. He locked in the Ankle lock in the middle of the ring early on, but Paul Heyman slipped Cesaro a steel chair that Cesaro used to break himself free, but it appeared damage was made to Cesaro's ankle. The momentum turned into Cesaro's favor after he swinged Swagger on the steel steps. It was a heated contest, even Colter wanted to trade blows with Paul Heyman. In the end, Cesaro put Swagger through the Spanish announce table with a Neutralizer and repeatedly hit Swagger on the back with a steel chair, forcing Zeb Colter to throw in the towel on Swagger's behalf. Later that evening, Swagger and Cesaro were seen showing respect to one another, seemingly ending their feud. However, Swagger later argued with Colter, saying he should've made his own decision.
DAMIEN SANDOW VS BIG E LANGSTON (C) FOR THE WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
It was a wise decision for Big E Langston to use make the match a strap match because he easily overpowered Damien Sandow. Sandow appeared to look for backup early on, thinking Miz and Barrett would interfere once again, but they were nowhere to be seen. Sandow had dirty tricks in his bag however and the match wasn't as easy as expected for Big E. At one point, Sandow attempted to rip Big E's singlet, but he was able to counter. In the end, as Sandow was trying to flee, Big E pulled on the chain and hit Sandow for with the Big Ending to succesfully defend his championship.
JOHN CENA VS. BRAY WYATTBray Wyatt promised the WWE Universe he would get revenge on John Cena and he delivered. However, few expected it to happen the way it did. Cena appeared to have Wyatt down for the three count following an Attitude Adjustment through a table from the top rope, but the lights went out and the only source of light came from the severed head Wyatt is carrying with him. Smoke appeared on the entrance ramp and the lights came on the ring. Wyatt was up on his feet laughing. He begged Cena to hit him with a steel chair, but Cena hit Wyatt with another AA instead, but Wyatt just went back up to his feet, laughing louder and louder. Cena hit him again with the AA with no effect. Then, a mysterious looking woman appeared down the entrance ramp and entered the ring to kiss Wyatt on the forehead. As Cena looked on in disbelief, Wyatt then hit Cena with a Sister Abigail out of nowhere for the win. Wyatt them introduced the WWE Universe to his guiding light and his inspiration, the one and only... Sister Abigail.
NIKKI BELLA VS. AJ LEE (C) FOR THE WWE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP Fans hoping for a clean match between the two Divas were left disappointed when midway through the so-far promising match, Kharma made her way to the ring. Tamina was the only one standing on her way, Kharma injured Brie Bella on SmackDown and made quick work of Tamina before entering the ring. Both AJ Lee and Nikki Bella went after her, but were brought down by a vicious double clothesline from Kharma, ending the match in a no contest. After the bell rang, none other than former WWE Womens Champion Mickie James made her way to the ring to steal AJ Lee's Divas Championship. She blew a kiss to AJ before leaving with Kharma.
BATISTA VS. DEAN AMBROSE (C) FOR THE WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIPSome would say that Batista didn't really deserve his title match against Dean Ambrose and could be right, but he certainly gave Ambrose a run for his money, so much so, that The Shield were even tempted to intervene, only to be waived off by Ambrose. It seems like Ambrose's comments about how Batista can't wrestler hurt the Animal's feelings, seeing how vicious he was, but it wasn't until Ambrose went for the technical stuff that he sneaked a win past Batista, pinning him following a school boy roll-up.
KANE VS DANIEL BRYAN FOR THE WWE WORLD EAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Oh, what a wild ride. The odds were stacked in Kane's favor on paper. With the Authority wanting to do everything to get the title off Daniel Bryan, it was certain they would interfere in the main event. It came at a much later moment than one would expect, as Kane and Daniel Bryan had a lengthy match. In one memorable spot, Kane lit a table on fire and almost chokeslammed Daniel Bryan through it, but he was able to jump away at the last minute. In the closing moments of the match, The Authority came out, which prompted The Shield to join the party. The Authority won the battle by using every weapon under the ring, but instead of interfering in the match... they just looked on. Bryan then hit the running knees on Kane and locked in the YES lock, which forced Kane to tap out to earn the win. Triple H then grabbed a microphone and told a puzzled Bryan that they did what's best for the business and the crowd cheered. Bryan then led a YES chant, but that was interrupted by Triple H, Orton and Sheamus attacking Kane and putting him through the announce table. The PPV goes off the air with a confused Bryan resuming the YES chant. WWE EXTREME RULES RESULTS

Apologies for the delay, I had to restart the save END OF MONTH REPORT
The Usos dropped the WWE World Tag Team Championship to the Wyatt Family at Extreme Rules. Their reign lasted 55 days, the 31st longest reign in WWE history. The Wyatt Family duo of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper becomes the 44th duo to the win the belts, their first championships on the main roster after holding the NXT Tag Team Championship for 69 days. It is rumored the WWE decided to make the Usos drop the belt due to backstage troubles for one twin. It is also rumored that several WWE officials see current Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston as a potential superstar. He certainly has the looks, but he has yet to find a character that will connect with the audience. It is also rumored that at least one WWE veteran has offered to put Big E over to try and get him over the edge. The two WWE veterans Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam were reportedly furious at recent booking decisions made by the new creative team. The 36-year old Mexican walked out following his loss to Santino on SmackDown and hasn’t worked since. He is however expected to be back in May. Rob Van Dam has lost two matches on WWE TV in April, to 3MB member Drew McIntyre and to Batista. Surprisingly, it’s his loss to Batista that appeared to enrage him. It was also rumored that the WWE is looking to bring back the WWE King of the Ring Tournament. Formerly a catalyst to propel young WWE stars’ careers to new heights, the tournament lost his luster in the last few editions, but it appears the WWE wants to bring it back to its roots in the coming months, before the SummerSlam PPV. William Regal’s announcement has been delayed lately on NXT due to a hacker, but it appears the WWE isn’t ready yet to announce what the announcement actually is. It is rumored to be some form of tournament that will involve wrestlers who aren’t necessarily contracted to the WWE with the winner getting a WWE contract and a NXT Title match. Speaking of NXT, WWE has yet to figure out the TakeOver schedule they want to have moving forward. Elsewhere in the wrestling world, TNA has announced the end of their partnership with AAA and W-1, angering the two promotions. Their latest PPV, Lockdown was somewhat successful with Magnus defeating James Storm to rein the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. The best match on the card was Low-Ki defeating Austin Aries to retain the X-Division Championship. Speaking of Magnus, his contract is set to expire in the coming months and with TNA having a lot of money tied up to older stars and Magnus’ increasing popularity, many believe Magnus will move on from TNA.
