The Rock vows to be the one to end The Game’s reign of terror, because with Vince by his side, he will become a 4-time WWF Champion . This is essentially the match from Backlash, with the ref (paid off by Triple H) deliberately slow counting when The Rock goes for a pin attempt, and with interference coming from the newly reunited D-Generation X, as well as Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, who consistently keep changing the rules to favor Triple H. At the closing stages of the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin shows up (to that insane real-life pop) to raise hell and takes out X-Pac, The New Age Outlaws, The Stooges, and Triple H with chair shots. As Stone Cold leaves, Linda McMahon appears at ringside with Mick Foley, who takes off his shirt to reveal a referee shirt underneath! This allows The Rock to land a Rock Bottom and a People’s Elbow on Triple H. Foley then logs the three count and The Rock becomes the new WWF Champion. )

Both men brawl whenever they see each other, prompting Commissioner Foley to make this match No DQ. Triple H says he’ll send Angle all the way back to the line, while Angle vows to cap off the most successful year in WWF history by beating The Game and becoming the WWF Champion. Before the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin gets a VHS tape of the CCTV footage of the night he was ran over. The TV is playing the CCTV footage of the night Austin was ran over. The footage contains Triple H entering the parking lot where Austin got hit, he approaches a car, the footage warps ahead cause it's a dodgy tape, the car door closes, the car reverses out of its parking spot, Austin enters, and BANG! Austin is ran over. Triple H is watching this, shaking his head, then glass shatters. Outcomes The Texas Rattlesnake, and he beats the living p*ss out of Triple H, hitting him with numerous stunners. He then grabs a set of chairs and hits HHH with numerous conchairto's, leaving him a bloody mess. Angle crawls over and pins The Game to win his first WWF Title.)

He’s interrupted by Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, who reveals that she has the unedited security footage from last November that reveals who ran down Stone Cold Steve Austin. The footage shows that it wasn’t Triple H who ran over The Texas Rattlesnake.... it was Kurt Angle! Austin then comes out and makes a b-line for the ring as Angle retreats. The match is made for Survivor Series the following week on Raw.
