NXT Stand & Deliver 2022
Dates: March 31st, 2022
Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
Card
NXT Tag Team Championships
Imperium (C) vs The Creed Brothers w/Malcolm Bivens, Roderick Strong, & Ivy Nile
(Following their Dusty Cup win, The Creed Brothers wage war with Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser & Giovani Vinci. In the leadup, Malcolm Bivens talks about perception, Imperium think they're these world class athletes, but the last time he checked, Ludwig & Gio haven't won NCAA Tournaments, they haven't participated in Olympic Trials, they haven't trained with UFC Champions, but you know who has, The Creed Brothers. Imperium would love for you to believe that they're the best tag team in NXT today, but they haven't won a Dusty Classic. Imperium would love for you to believe that they're fighting champions, but they haven't defended the belts in a long time, because Diamond Mine are the real deal while Imperium are a bunch of tight turtle neck-wearing coleslaw and weiner schnitzal-eating little b*tches. Imperium says that they don't care these 2 rookies won the Dusty Classic, it's actually an embarrassment that they did, because their lack of experience getting them this far is disrespectful to this sacred mat, and at Stand & Deliver, they will wipe the floor with Julius & Brutus.)
Dolph Ziggler w/Robert Roode vs Wes Lee w/Nash Carter (By Technical Submsison)
(The Dirty Dawgs make a surprise appearance in the first round of The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they are shockingly upset in the first round by MSK. This causes Ziggler & Roode to want to stick around in NXT, and begin feuding with Lee & Carter, with Dolph challenging Wes Lee to a match at Stand & Deliver. Dolph says that he is an accomplished singles wrestler, he's a former World Heavyweight Champion, what has Wes Lee done by himself? Nothing, that means he is going to get embarrassed by good ol DZ at Stand & Deliver. Wes Lee says that Dolph Ziggler is a poison to NXT, nobody on the brand is bigger than the brand, but Dolph acts the exact opposite, because after working for Raw the previous night, Dolph flies out here Tuesday Morning, does his segment, then f*cks off back home, taking everything he needs and giving nothing back, but at Stand & Deliver, he's gonna force Dolph to give respect back to NXT. Wes pushes Dolph to the limit in this match, but Dolph gets the win after making Wes pass out to a sleeper. The 2 men shake hands post-match, and The Dirty Dawgs raise the hands of MSK, turning Dolph & Bobby face.)
6-Man Tag Team Match - the losing faction is absorbed by the winning faction
The D'Angelo Family vs Legado Del Fantasma w/Elektra Lopez
(Heels vs Heels. Following his unsuccessful title challenge against Tommaso Ciampa at Vengeance Day, Santos Escobar begins feuding with fellow heel Tony D'Angelo. The week after Escobar's title challenge, LDF is in tag team action against the team of Chaning Lorenzo and Troy Donovan, when Tony D'Angelo walks out during the match and begins watching. Following the match, Santos confronts The Don of NXT backstage, saying that from Jefe to someone who's learning to be a Jefe, he needs to keep his business out of Legado Del Fantasma's business. Tony D confronts Santos the following week, saying they got off on the wrong foot, he was just scouting talent for a crew he's putting together, so as a piece offering, he tries to pay LDF with what is presumably blood money, but Santos declines the cash, saying the respect of LDF is worth more than that. In the weeks proceeding, Tony D & Santos cost each other in matches, with Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo & Troy "2 Dimes" Donovan making their alignment with Tony D official when they cost Santos in a match against Cameron Grimes in what is a North American Championship Ladder Match qualifier. This leads to a match at Roadblock between Tony D & Santos, which Santos wins. The 2 men eventually have a sitdown, flanked by their 2 gangs, where Santos says that everyone knows they can trust him, but he looks at Tony D, and he doesn't see that same trust. He offered Tony D a courtesy that he gives few men, and what does he do, he chose to play games, low blow offers, the fish and the windshield, these 2 goofs costing him a North American title shot. Tony D responds, saying that Poker & Yahtzee are games, what he's doing isn't a game, because there's enough pieces of the pie to go around in NXT, enough for Tony D, and enough for The Legados. Santos responds, saying they want similar things, they're at 2 different points in their journey, Tony D wants to build a family from scratch, but him, he's adding to an already existing empire, because he wants Tony and his 2 knuckleheads to learn under him, and offers them spots in Legado Del Fantasma. Tony D declines, saying that he didn't want this to turn into a turf war, but instead lays down a challenge, 6-man tag for Stand & Deliver, The D'Angelo Family vs Legado Del Fantasma, the losing family joins the winning family. Santos accepts on LDF's behalf, saying that all he sees are 3 more members of Legado Del Fantasma to serve El Jefe De Jefe's. Tony D says that when your The Don, you make big moves, and there ain't no bigger move than gaining 3 more foot soldiers to dominate the streets. This is the same match that happened at In Your House IRL, with an unconscious Stacks getting the win for his team, forcing Legado Del Fantasma to be absorbed by The D'Angelo Family.)
NXT Women's Championship
Dakota Kai (C) vs Gigi Dolin w/Piper Niven
(Dolin wins a #1 contenders triple threat match over Cora Jade and Io Shirai at Roadblock to secure her status as the #1 contender to Dakota Kai's NXT Women's Championship. In the leadup, Gigi reminisces in the night that she & Piper viscously beat down Dakota Kai at Wargames 5. Gigi says that is just a preview of what to expect at Stand & Deliver, because as we've seen for a number of years, Dakota Kai has a lot of voices in her head, and not a single one of them are whispering to her that she has a shot at walking out and still the NXT Women's Champion at Stand & Deliver, because one way or another, that title is coming to The Toxic Attraction of NXT Gigi Dolin, because there's Gigi Dolin, then there's everybody else. Dakota says she will make sure that the Chuckie from Rugrats wannabe's face looks as bad as the left side of her ex-husband's face. Gigi gets the win with the Gigi Driver to become to the NXT Women's Champion.)
8-Man Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship
Carmelo Hayes (C) w/Trick Williams vs vs Bron Breakker vs Grayson Waller vs Solo Sikoa vs Cameron Grimes vs Joe Gacy w/Harland vs LA Knight vs Nathan Frazer
(Not much story here, just 7 of NXT's finest vying for the North American Championship.)
NXT Championship
Tommaso Ciampa (C) vs GUNTHER w/Imperium
(Following his appearance at Vengeance Day, GUNTHER addresses why he confronted NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa following his successful title defense. GUNTHER says that the last time he saw Tommaso Ciampa, he was looking up at the lights on our sacred mat, and since that moment, Tomato Chomps has done a lot of self-reflecting, he's made this sacred sport a priority again, he's rediscovered that killer instinct, he's become a champion once again, but, he's not faced any real competition, he's faced a bunch of amateurs, and facing weak competition is a disgrace in this sport, he should be facing the best of the best, so that's why he left behind NXT UK for NXT, he wants to see if Ciampa really has changed, if he really has that killer instinct back or is he the same worn down old man from 1 year ago when he takes the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver. Ciampa responds to Walter, saying since he's last saw him, he's shed a lot of weight, 10 lbs of gold if you will, he's no longer this unconquerable monster that he's made out to be, Ilja Dragunov proved he's mortal, and at Stand & Deliver, the wrong of last year is re-written and the monster is slain. GUNTHER wins with his trademark powerbomb, becoming the first man to win both the NXT UK Championship and the NXT Championship.)

Wrestlemania 38
Dates: April 2nd and 3rd, 2022
Location: AT&T Stadium, Dallas, Texas
Cards
Night 1
WWE Championship - Stone Cold Steve Austin is the special guest referee
Kevin Owens (C) vs Karrion Kross w/Scarlett
(Karion Kross' warpath over the past 5 months leads him to a WWE Championship. Kross says that initially, he thought Kevin Owens was the fool, but now, after becoming WWE Champion, it's clear he thinks he's The World, everything revolves around Kevin Owens because he's the WWE Champion, and that's where he needs to be, because the second Kevin Owens won that title at Elimination Chamber, he's been living on borrowed time with that title, because the sands of the hourglass are almost done on his title run, tick tock. KO says that Kross almost ended his career back at Day 1, when he punched him through that cinderblock, he thought his career was over, but he overcame that, came back, and became WWE Champion, and now, on the biggest stage of them all, he hands Karrion Kross his first defeat. During the build-up, KO and Kross have many chaotic brawls on Raw, leading to Sonya Deville having to find a special guest referee to be able to contain these 2, with Sonya naming Texas' own Stone Cold Steve Austin as the guest referee. Kross scores the win after a back-and-forth contest with 3 consecutive Kross Hammers to become WWE Champion.)
Tag Team Turmoil Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships
Los Lotharios (C) w/Zelina Vega vs RK-Bro vs Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) w/Drew Gulak vs The Street Profits vs The New Day
(After their successful title defense back at Elimination Chamber, Zelina Vega gloats about how Los Lotharios are the greatest tag team alive, no one is ever ending their reign as Raw Tag Team Championships. This leads to RK-Bro interrupting, with Randy & Matt saying that they still haven't gotten their rematch for the titles. Alpha Academy then interrupts, saying nothing sickens them more than seeing RK-Bro get a Raw Tag Team Title Shot, and if anybody deserves it, it's The Academy. The Street Profits then interrupt, saying that Garza & Carillo barely escaped with the titles back at Elimination Chamber. The New Day then interrupt, with Woods & Kofi saying that it's been forever since The New Day held tag team gold, that needs to change. After this segment errupts into a brawl, Sonya Deville interrupts and announces that Los Lotharios will defend their Raw Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania 38 against all 4 of these teams... in a Tag Team Turmoil! The New Day & Street Profits start the match, and have a fun 9 minutes before Dawkins is pinned after a Midnight Hour. RK-Bro are the next ones to enter, and they are the ones who run the gauntlet, toppling The New Day, Alpha Academy, and Los Lotharios to become 2-time Raw Tag Team Champions.)
The New Day eliminate The Street Profits by pinfall RK-Bro eliminate The New Day by pinfall RK-Bro eliminate Alpha Academy by pinfall RK-Bro eliminate Los Lotharios by pinfall
The Mysterios & Damian Priest vs The Miz, John Morrison, & Logan Paul
(Following Elimination Chamber, The Mysterios continue to feud with Miz & Morrison. Things heat up when The Mysterios cost The Miz in a match on Raw against his old rival Damian Priest. This causes Miz & Morrison to renew their hostilities with Damian Priest as well, as they challenge The Mysterios and Damian Priest to a 6-Man Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania, with The Mysterios & Priest accepting. Miz & Morrison reveal their tag team partner to be a man who went the distance with Floyd Mayweather, Social Media Megastar Logan Paul, to the chagrin of literally everyone other than Miz & Morrison. Miz, Morrison, and Logan say that with 3 A-listers joining up, The Mysterios & Damian Priest are in for domination at Wrestlemania, because Logan Paul went the distance with the greatest pound for pound Boxer of all time, can Rey, Dominik, or Damian say that? No they can't, and they will be utterly embarrassed by 3 pop culture icons at Wreslemania. The Mysterios & Priest say that Miz & Morrison being on Raw every week is bad enough, but now they have to deal with this jacka$$ too? There's a reason why everyone breathed a sigh of relief after Kevin Owens kicked Logan's a$$ at Wrestlemania last year, and at Wrestlemania 38, everyone gets to breathe that same sigh of relief. On the go-home Raw before Wrestlemania 38, a brawl between all 6 men occurs, with Rey Mysterio accidentally hitting Damian Priest with a West Coast Pop, which doesn't sit well with The Archer of Infamy. In the closing moments of the match, Damian Priest turns heel by refusing to tag in and walking out on The Mysterios, leaving Rey to get pinned by Logan Paul after his version of a Skull Crushing Finale. After the match, Miz shockingly hits a Skull Crushing Finale on Logan Paul, with John Morrison confused as to why he would do such a thing. Miz then attacks John Morrison, laying him out with a Skull Crushing Finale, ending their run as a tag team.)
Triple Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship
Keith Lee (C) w/Zelina Vega vs Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe
(3 men who are in the discussion for best wrestler on the planet collide for the US title. Balor says that since it's a triple threat, there's no DQ, so Keith Lee can't get those muchachos to bail him out and cause a DQ, because at Wrestlemania, The Prince is claiming the United States Championship. Samoa Joe says that he hasn't been active on the main roster in 2 years, and when he got hurt, he left a lot of things on the table, one of those being never becoming a singles champion, he fixes that at Wrestlemania 38. Zelina says that these has-beens don't measure up to the current holder in any way, and at Wrestlemania, Keith Lee proves it. As the match reaches it’s end, Lee goes for a Big Bang Catastrophe on Joe, but Joe escapes, and locks in the Coquina Clutch on Keith Lee. Joe then gets both hooks in on Lee, but Finn lands a Coup De Grace on Lee to break it up, then hitting a Slingblade on Joe to take him out. Balor then hits one more Coup De Grace on The Limitless One to win his first United States Championship. We’re also treated to the meme-worthy sight of a shocked Zelina, who can’t quite believe that all three of her clients lost their titles less than an hour apart.)
Seth Rollins vs Mystery Opponent (Cody Rhodes)
(After falling to earn a rematch against Roman Reigns back at Elimination Chamber, Seth Rollins is at a crossroads, or, as you could also say it, a "Cross Rhodes". Rollins says that the Elimination Chamber match was his only way of making it to Wrestlemania, but now that Bobby Lashley has that World Heavyweight Title Shot, he's not gonna be on the grandest stage of them all. Over the next several weeks, Seth Rollins continues to find ways to make it to Wrestlemania. Rollins challenges Bobby Lashley for his Wrestlemania title shot against Roman Reigns, and loses. Rollins then invades Raw and challenges Kevin Owens to a WWE title match, which Sonya Deville initially refuses to make, but after Kevin Owens requests the match, Deville sanctions it. Rollins then loses that match to KO. It gets so bad for Rollins, he challenges Sami Zayn to a match on Smackdown for the right to face Johnny Knoxville at Wrestlemania 38, that is how bad it has gotten for Seth, he's willing to face the Jackass star just to get on Wrestlemania. Rollins can't even win that match, as Sami Zayn wins. This loss to Sami infuriates Seth, who trashes the ringside area, and says that this is bullsh*t, and that next week's Smackdown (the go-home Smackdown before Wrestlemania) will not happen unless he's added to Wrestlemania. The go-home Smackdown begins with Rollins handcuffing himself to the ring and refusing to leave. Adam Pearce tries to get Seth to leave, but Seth won't budge until he gets a Match at Wrestlemania. Rollins then remains apart of the ring for the whole first hour of the show, with him standing in the ring during in-ring promos and matches, helping some heels win matches by being a part of the ring. Eventually, Vince McMahon comes out to confront Rollins. Vince tells Seth if he wanted a match on Wrestlemania, he didn't need to jump through all of these hoops that Adam Pearce has been putting him through, he could've just asked him. Vince then tells Seth that 24 hours from now, on Night 1 of Wrestlemania 38, Seth Rollins will have a match at Wrestlemania 38, and his opponent? He'll find out once he makes his entrance, but Seth, you can breathe a sigh of relief, because now, your American Nightmare that has been going on for the past couple of weeks is over. Seth makes his entrance, but as he waits for his opponent, pyro goes off, the lights go out, and an epic prelude begins to play, before the words "Wrestling has more than one, Royal Family" plays to a massive pop from the Dallas crowd. The song "Kingdom" by Downstait then hits, and a figure emerges from the stage... IT'S CODY RHODES! Cody emerges from his Codyvator that he popularised in AEW, and walks down a WWE ramp for the first time in 6 years. This is the exact same match that happened IRL, only Seth does not kick out of The Cross Rhodes at any point in the match. Cody still wins, but only with 1 Cross Rhodes.)
Bianca Belair vs Charlotte Flair
(The EST vs The Queen, a feud that has been brewing for almost 5 months, finally ends in a first time ever 1-on-1 clash. Charlotte says that she is a once in a generation talent, she is still the face of the Monday Night Raw Women's Division, and she won't stand for some one trick pony who only got to main event Wrestlemania because she was facing off against one of her fellow Horsewomen who hogged all the spotlight, but she needs to break the truth to Bianca, that night, nobody paid to see her, they all paid to see Sasha, Bianca is only a household name because The Horsewomen made her into one, so she challenges Bianca to a match at Wrestlemania, so that she can expose Bianca for what she really is, a fraud. Bianca accepts, saying that Charlotte wants to talk about her title win last year saying that it was a fluke, when Charlotte hasn't held a title in 3 years, and the last time she challenged for one at Wrestlemania, it was for the NXT Championship of all things, because Charlotte's stock has fallen, and at Wrestlemania, her stock continues to plummet. Bianca still gets her sport's team band entrance because it was cool. Bianca wins after a K.o.D off the second rope after a 15-minute spectacle.)
Drew McIntyre vs Brock Lesnar (By Technical Submission)
(Following Elimination Chamber, Brock Lesnar confronts Drew McIntyre on an episode of Smackdown, saying they're both in a tough spot, things didn't go their way at Elimination Chamber, as Drew failed to win the Chamber Match, and he once again failed to defeat Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. Brock then challenges Drew to a Wrestlemania 36 rematch for Wrestlemania 38, saying that Mania 36 was Drew's night, but he's been busy reinventing himself entirely since that defeat to Drew, he's now a whole different man, and this time, it's different, the first time, Drew was the one being tested, this time, it's him being tested, and this time, it's not gonna him going to Claymore Country, it's gonna be Drew taking the subway to Suplex City. Drew accepts, saying that Mania 36 was the biggest night of his career, it was the biggest win of his career, and he would love to make it a Wrestlemania repeat at Wrestlemania 38. Brock then lays Drew out with an F5 immediately to show that there's still some hostility between the 2, with the 2 getting into chaotic brawls on Smackdown over the next few weeks. The match is a bloody one, but ultimately, it's Lesnar who prevails, making Drew pass out to an Arm Triangle. Brock shakes Drew's hand after the match as a sign of respect.)
Alundra Blayze Women's Battle Royal
Tegan Nox wins by last eliminating Raquel Rodriguez
(Entrants include: Tegan Nox, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, Sarah Logan, Mia Yim, Toni Storm, Shozti Blackheart, Zelina Vega, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, Cora Jade, Mandy Rose, Carmella, Aliyah, Tamina, Natalya, and Dana Brooke)
Smackdown Women's Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Liv Morgan
(On the Smackdown after Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch viciously attacks Liv Morgan, wrapping a Steel Chair around her neck and big booting her into the ring post, taking Liv out for a few weeks. While Liv is out nursing kayfabe injuries, Becky says that the audience is very opinionated, they don't like how she does her job because apparently, they think Liv Morgan is the new her, they think Liv Morgan is going to get her big Daniel Bryan moment at Wrestlemania, well guess what, Liv Morgan hasn't broken down gender barriers, Liv Morgan never left at the height of her career and came back better than ever, and if you don't evolve, you get left behind, because the second she embarrasses Liv at Wrestlemania 38, Liv will get left behind, so she did Liv a favor when she injured her, she saved her from being embarrassed in the main event of Wrestlemania. Sarah Logan then interrupts and attacks Becky, which sets up a match between the 2 the next week on Smackdown. Becky wins that match, and goes to do to Sarah what she did to Liv, until Liv Morgan's music hits, and Liv Morgan comes out from the crowd and blindsides Becky. Liv gets Becky into the ring and hits her with an Ob-Liv-ion, before going underneath the ring, grabbing out scissors, and cutting the hair of Becky Lynch, giving Becky a new makeover that makes her look like Pris from Blade Runner. The following week, Liv says that that Big Time B*tch tried to rob her of her Wrestlemania moment, a moment that she has scratched and claw to try an earn, unlike Becky, who had to use her skills in the bedroom to get to the top, but at Wrestlemania 38, she will not be denied, and she will become a 2-time Smackdown Women's Champion. Becky says that it didn't have to be this way for Liv, she should've stayed home, but no, she just had to come back and embarrass her, so at Wrestlemania, it's already established that Liv is going to do what her Riott Squad stablemates did best, and that is fail, but she isn't just gonna beat Liv now, no, she wants to humiliate Liv, she wants to beat her to a bloody pulp in front of her family, as she stands over her lifeless body, because Wrestlemania 38 Night 1 isn't going to be a feel-good ending for Liv, it's going to be a tragic one. After 25 minutes, after all the obstacles she's had to overcome since losing the Smackdown Women's Championship, Liv hits not 1, not 2, but 3 Ob-Liv-ions on Becky Lynch to become a 2-time Smackdown Women's Champion, as confetti rains down from the rafters, her best friend Sarah Logan comes down to celebrate with her, as Night 1 goes off the air.)
Night 2
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swerve Strickland (C) vs Ricochet vs Dominik Dijakovic vs Sheamus w/Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland
(Following Swerve's IC title win at Elimination Chamber, he draws the ire of a number of challengers, those challengers being The One and Only Ricochet, The Rare Breed Dominik Dijakovic, and The Celtic Warrior Sheamus. Sheamus say that nobody wants see some punk like Swerve damage the reputation that the IC title holds, because when he was the Intercontinental Champion, it meant something, so he's gonna become a 2-time IC Champ at Wrestlemania and set an example for his fellow Brawling Brutes on what its like to be a champion on the main roster. Dijakovic says that he has been trying to bust through the glass ceiling during his time on Smackdown, and he can't think of a better way to break through than by becoming Intercontinental Champion at Wrestlemania. Ricochet says that he lost a piece of him when he lost the Intercontinental Championship 2 years ago, he gets that piece back at Wrestlemania. Swerve says that Wrestlemania is the biggest chance to show that the big things that he's saying will happen during his title reign will occur, because he didn't win this because some guy from Jackass helped him, he's a fighting champion who doesn't need help to win, or retain.)
EC3 vs Omos
(The former tag team partners collide. EC3 says that if it weren't for him, Omos would still be stuck in NXT, not wrestling on TV, and just training until they told him "hey, it's a budget thing, best of luck in your future endeavors", but he saved Omos from all of that, he gave Omos the most exposure he ever got, but at Wrestlemania, he takes that all away from Great Khali 2.0. Omos says that EC3 is past his prime, he only hired him to be his personal colossus so he could get back into the main event, but he still couldn't thrive there, so he went to the tag division to try and find success, but that ended, because their tag team was first, and EC3's spine comes next. EC3 manages to pull off the win by getting up Omos and hitting the One Percenter for the win.)
Anything Goes Match
Sami Zayn vs Johnny Knoxville
(This feud dates all the way back to the Smackdown after Day 1, when it's announced that Jackass star Johnny Knoxville will be the guest host for the Royal Rumble. Later that night, Knoxville is doing a backstage interview, when he's interrupted by Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, who just won the title from Shinsuke Nakamura at Day 1. Sami says to Johnny that as Locker Room Leader and a 3-time Intercontinental Champion, he's gonna tell Johnny something nobody else will, this isn't Jackass, you can't just run into a brick wall at 100 miles an hour, Johnny isn't qualified to be hosting the Royal Rumble. Things heat up at The Royal Rumble when Johnny Knoxville distracts Sami Zayn long enough to be eliminated by Isaiah "Swerve" Scott. Later that week, Sami shows up at the Jackass Forever Premire, where he is tossed out by security and hit with a Cattle Prod by Johnny Knoxville. A few days later on Smackdown, Sami Zayn hosts a celebration on Smackdown to celebrate Johnny Knoxville no longer being around after the Royal Rumble happened, until Johnny Knoxville interrupts, and challenges Sami to an IC title match, which Sami refuses to do, as he attacks Knoxville until Isaiah "Swerve" Scott (Sami's Elimination Chamber opponent) runs down to save Johnny. At Elimination Chamber, Johnny Knoxville costs Sami Zayn the IC title against Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, which infuriates Sami, who later on in the night, Sami says that he is sick of Johnny Knoxville following him everywhere, so if that glorified Hollywood Crash Test Dummy wants to follow him so bad, why doesn't he follow him to Wrestlemania 38, where he faces him... in an Anything Goes Match! Knoxville responds later in the week on Social Media, saying he made a career out of disregarding his common sense, he has been in the ring with an angry bull many times, he's been knocked out by Butterbean with a lucky punch, and he's strapped himself to the back of a red rocket, smart, no, but he's still standing, and don't get him wrong, Sami is a great competitor, awful to look at, terrible human being, but a great competitor, so at Wrestlemania 38, he can take whatever Sami dishes out, and if he wants an Anything Goes Match, he accepts, because Sami is toast. This is the exact same match that happened in real life, with Partyboy Chris Pontius showing up, Wee Man bodyslamming Sami Zayn, and Knoxville winning after trapping Zayn in a giant Mouse Trap.)
Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Rhea Ripley & Nikki Cross (C) vs Sasha Banks & Naomi vs Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven
(Shortly following Elimination Chamber, Sasha Banks turns face by saving Naomi from a beatdown by Natalya & Mandy Rose. The following week, Sasha & Naomi defeat Natalya & Mandy Rose to become the #1 contenders to Rhea Ripley & Nikki Cross's Women's Tag Titles. Rhea & Sasha have a match against each other on an episode of Smackdown in the leadup, which ends in a no-contest as Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven from NXT show up and attack both teams, and demanded to be added to the match, which thanks to cooperation between Sonya Deville, Adam Pearce, and Shawn Michaels, ends up happening. Rhea & Nikki says that Rhea knows what it's like to walk out of Wrestlemania as a champion, so they've got that advantage on their side, because these Women's Tag titles aren't going anywhere. Sasha & Naomi say that they've managed to click as a team, they want to make this tag team mean something, and that happens at Wrestlemania. Gigi says that Sasha Banks is washed up, Liv Morgan humiliated her for back to back pay per views, and now she's teaming with someone who hasn't been relevant in years, and as for Rhea & Nikki, they're a non factor, they're just keeping the titles warm for the 2 baddest b*tches in the game this is the biggest week of her career, because she gets to walk out of Dallas with not 1, but 2 championships, because she'll prove why there's Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven, and then there's everybody else. Gigi manages to live up to her word, as the closing moments of the match see's Sasha & Naomi hit a Rearview/Frog Splash combo on Nikki, but while Nikki runs the ropes, Gigi makes a blind tag. While the ref tells Sasha that Nikki isn't the legal woman, Gigi sneaks into the ring, pushes Sasha into Naomi, throws Naomi out of the ring, and plants Sasha with the Gigi Driver to score the biggest pin of her career, and become a double champion, whilst also bringing the Women's Tag Titles to NXT alongside her enforcer Piper Niven.)
Raw Women's Championship
Blair Davenport (C) vs Alexa Bliss
(Former best friends collide. Bliss says that she was the one who brought Blair Davenport to WWE, she was Blair's best friend, but Blair was never here to be her friend, Blair used her, and once she got what she wanted when she won the Money in the Bank Briefcase which she used to later become Raw Women's Champion, Blair deemed her useless, and tried to end her career just like she's done to others in the past, but at Wrestlemania 38, she gets her revenge, she takes back the title she poured her blood, sweat, and tears into defending for 546 days, because at Wrestlemania 38, the 1,253 days of not having that Raw Women's Championship finally come to an end, as she takes back the Raw Women's Championship. Blair says that Alexa was and still is weak, she's weak because she hasn't been exposed to life outside of WWE, she hasn't been a Women's Champion in Stardom, she hasn't been a women's champion in promotions in Europe, so she knew she could take advantage of her to get what she wanted, and once she got to that destination, Bliss had no use to the Top Gaijin, and at Wrestlemania, the world finds out how weak Alexa Bliss really is. Bliss wins after 3 Twisted Blisses, finally reclaiming the Raw Women's Championship and ending The Commonwealth Queenpin's reign at 189 days.)
Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (C) vs The Hurt Business w/MVP vs Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs vs Mystery Opponents (Hit Row) w/Isaiah "Swerve" Scott & B-Fab
(Since Bobby Lashley is feuding with Roman Reigns over The World Heavyweight Championships, The Hurt Business' begin going after The Usos Smackdown Tag Team Championships. MVP says that he's heard all of the trash that The Bloodline, The Usos in particular, have been saying about The Hurt Business, but they're gonna have to back it up, because The Hurt Business is unstoppable, and despite Shelton & Cedric being under his guidance, they know when to make the right decisions by themselves, can The Usos say that? No, because where is their wise man during their matches, and that is what will be The Usos downfall. The Usos heat things up during this time and invade Raw to attack The Hurt Business, as well as Bobby Lashley, at the request of Roman Reigns. The Usos say that The Hurt Business are coming into their house, their show, sitting at their table, and tryna disrespect The Bloodline and The Tribal Chief by taking titles that aren't even on their show? But at Wrestlemania, it's One and Done for The Hurt Business. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs are added to the match after they defeat The Usos in a Tag Team Match on Smackdown after a distraction by The Hurt Business. Adam Pearce decides to raise the stakes for the match, and makes it a Ladder Match. Before the match begins, Intercontinental Champion Isaiah "Swerve" Scott makes his entrance, and informs the 3 tag teams that he just spoke with Adam Pearce, and it's now a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the Smackdown Tag Titles, the 4th team? They're about to find out. Hit Row's music then hits, and outcomes Top Dolla, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, and B-Fab, reunited with Swerve. Despite this, Then Usos keep their 259-day Smackdown Tag Team Title reign alive and retain their titles. Rick Boogs unfortunately tears his quad in this match.)
Pat McAfee vs Happy Corbin w/Madcap Moss & Vince McMahon
(This feud dates back all the way to when Baron Corbin was broke, as it was when Pat McAfee began regularly calling the then Baron Corbin "Bum A$$ Corbin". On 03/03/2022, Vince McMahon makes a special appearance on The Pat McAfee show, and offers Pat a once in a lifetime chance, a chance to compete at Wrestlemania 38, which Pat accepts. The following day, while Pat is commentating on Smackdown, he is surprise attacked by Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss. Corbin & Moss get Pat in the ring, and Corbin hits an End of Day on him. Corbin then grabs a mic, and says that he's heard all the stuff Pat has been saying about him for the past year, and he's had enough of it, and what Vince McMahon didn't tell Pat yesterday, is he is Pat McAfee's opponent at Wrestlemania. Corbin says that Pat and I have known each other for a long time, and he just hears Pat criticising him and making jokes about him, because when he was at rock bottom, he coined the phrase "Bum A$$ Corbin", and then he hits it big, and he stills runs his mouth about him, he talks about all his loses, he critisices his hit Talk Show Happy Talk, Pat thinks he's undeserving of his pyro, and Pat should've watched this mouth because now, thanks to Vince McMahon, he's been dragged from over that desk, his skinny a$$ is being placed in the ring, and he's gonna wish he was dead. McAfee says he's going to give all the fans what they've been waiting for since Corbin's sorry a$$ came into the company, when he kicks this jabroni square in the face and wins his Wrestleamania debut. In the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania, Corbin & Moss play mind games on Pat McAfee, such as tripping him over whenever he does his trademark dancing during Shinsuke Nakamura's entrance, leading Pat to chase the duo all the way into Vince's office, and for them to hide behind Vince. This is the same match the 2 had at Summerslam 2022. After Pat's victory over Corbin, Pat gets on the mic and challenges none other than Vince McMahon to an impromptu match, which The Chairman of The Board seemingly accepts, taking off his jacket, shirt, and tie, and gets in the ring with Pat, only to reveal it's a ploy to launch a surprise attack on Pat, as Corbin & Moss attack Pat, hitting The End of Days and Punchline respectively on Pat. Vince, Corbin, and Moss beat down Pat 3-on-1, until none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hits, and outcomes The Texas Rattlesnake. Austin gives Moss a Stunner, gives Corbin a Stunner, and give Vince a Stunner that Vince can actually sell. Austin & Pat then have a beer, before Austin hits a Stunner on Pat because it's Austin and he'll Stun literally anyone.)
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Austin Theory wins by last eliminating Pete Dunne
(Entrants include: Austin Theory, Pete Dunne, Ridge Holland, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Erik, Ivar, Drew Gulak, Apollo Crews, Commander Azeez, Mustafa Ali, Mansoor, Jinder Mahal, Veer, Shanky, Dio Maddin, Akira Tozawa, R-Truth, and Reggie)
AJ Styles vs Edge
(On the Raw after Elimination Chamber, Edge makes an appearance, just 48 hours after losing the WWE Championship to Kevin Owens. Edge says that every time it gets to Wrestlemania season, he gets excited, and he was beyond excited this year because he was going to enter Wrestlemania 38 as the WWE Champion, so he could once again enter Wrestlemania as a World Champion as he had done in years past, but of course, after the events of Elimination Chamber, plans have changed, he has to now take, a different road to Wrestlemania, because now, he needs to have a match at Wrestlemania that can be considered "Phenomneal", because whenever he's at Wresltemania, he makes everyone and everything around him better, he steps up to the challenge, because whenever you're at Wrestlemania, you have to throw caut into the wind and "face your inner demon", and become undeniable, he needs Wrestlemania, and if their calling Wrestlemania 38 "The most stupendous Wrestlemania in history", but you can't call Wrestlemania stupendous without Edge, and as much as he needs Wreslemania, Wrestlemania needs him more, so he's issuing a challenge to anyone in the back in that locker room, he needs someone to step up, because if you want to prove yourself, then you need to stand across the ring at Wrestlemania 38 against a man who is still the best in this industry today, a certifiable legend, an 11-time World Champion, a Hall of Famer, because if you face him at Wrestlemania, he'll make you "Live Forever", so step up, he'll be waiting. The following week on Raw, Edge appears again, and he says that this is the moment for someone to step up, take their place in history and accept his challenge for Wrestlemania 38, his roads to Wrestlemania get a lot clearer tonight. After a few minutes of waiting, no one comes out, and Edge says are you kidding? What happened to this place, and then, AJ Styles music hits, and outcomes The Phenomenal One to confront The Rated R Superstar. Edge say's he's happy AJ accepted, because he's wanted this match for a longtime, he's wanted this match for a longtime, and clearly, all the fans have wanted this match for a longtime, but he'll tell AJ what, he wants the bulldog AJ, he doesn't want the guy who became soft after The Undertaker buried him 2 years ago. AJ asks Edge is that what he thinks of him, he's soft? Edge then offers a handshake, which AJ accepts, only for Edge to pull AJ in for a low blow, completing Edge's heel turn. In typical Edge fashion, he then hits a conchairto on AJ. The following week, Edge debuts a much darker entrance, The Other Side, by Alter Bridge, with the words "You think you know me? You never did" added at the start. Edge says that he is the benchmark of WWE, because for the last 2 weeks, it's taken time for him to decipher the code of what he's actually become, which is above everyone's capability of understanding, they're simple, which isn't everyone's fault, he'll grant them mercy, so he'll put it in terms everyone can understand, he is better than everyone, every single person in this entire industry, but since he came back 2 years ago, he hasn't shown that aptitude, because the Edge that came back tent on pleasing all the fans, was weak, and he realised, they don't matter to him, because in trying to apease all the fans, he took the eye off the prize, allowing a man like Randy Orton to tear his triceps from the bone, allowing Seth Rollins to cost him the World Heavyweight Chapmionship, walk into his home, and p*ss all over his territory, allowing some little runt that doesn't even work here anymore to eliminate him from the Royal Rumble and rob him of a chance to face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 37, he allowed Kevin Owens to defeat him for the WWE Championship in his home country of Canada, and if that Edge faced AJ at Wrestlemania, then AJ would leave that Edge in the dust, but that Edge, that Edge is dead baby, because now, he sits pearched on his mountain of omnipitence looking down at everyone, he won't be judged by the fans, he won't be judged by anyone in that locker room, and he certainly won't be judged by AJ, because he will pass the verdicts around here from now on, and he would apologise for that if he cared, but he doesn't, so AJ, if, and if this a monumental if, with 2 generational talents facing off for this time ever, at Wrestlemania 38, then AJ, he will meet his "Judgment Day". AJ Styles then returns the following week, and says that for the past 2 weeks, he's been at home nursing an injury, recovering from an injury caused by Edge, but nothing but time on his hands, and if you have enough of it, time, it can be a dangerous thing, because he's watched that clip of what Edge did to him with that chair over and over and over and over again, to the point where he was going crazy, he was going mad, he didn't want to talk to his family, he just wanted to be alone, and low and behold, who pops up on TV, but Edge, with his mood lighting, and his mouth spewing out nonsense, answering the question "why?", but the truth is, he doesn't care, he's not here to ask why, he isn't here to get answers, he's here to kick Edge's teeth down his throat, because if Edge wanted the bulldog, he's gonna get him at Wrestlemania. AJ is then interrupted by Apollo Crews, who challenges him to a match. AJ then scores a quick win over Apollo, before being attacked from behind by Edge as a final warning of what he's going to expect at Wrestlemania 38. AJ doesn't bust himself open on the stage set during his entrance. The closing moments of the match see's AJ in position to hit The Phenomenal Forearm, only for Damian Priest, who turned heel just 24 hours earlier, to appear at ringside, sporting a much darker look. This distracts AJ, and gives Edge enough time to recover to counter AJ's Phenomenal Forearm into a Spear for the win. After the match, Priest bends the knee to Edge, and Edge places his hand on Edge's forehead, as they celebrate Edge's win together, Judgment Day, is here, literally.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Bobby Lashley w/MVP
(Spear vs Spear, Gulliotene vs The Hurt Lock, The Bloodline vs The Hurt Business! Roman says that life is good, right now, he can finally put all this stuff with Brock Lesnar behind him after Elimination Chamber, and now, he has the challenge, of facing off, against The Bloodline: Hood edition, but as long as God wakes him up, he can handle anything, however, there is 1 thing that Bobby Lashley is causing, concern, because The Wise Man, he's concerned. Roman then asks Paul Heyman why he's concerned, with Heyman saying that he loves his Tribal Chief, and he loves The Usos, but we have a problem, as that problem is The Hurt Business, or, to be specific, Bobby Lashley, now, his Tribal Chief, he is the goat, he is the greatest of all time in an era where no one can hold on to a Championship, Roman has held on to the championship, the World Heavyweight Champion, nearing 600 days and counting headed into Wrestlemania 38, and that after that, nearing 700, 800, 900, 1,000 days as World Heavyweight Champion, the longest reigning World Heavyweight Champion of the the past 34 years, but here's the problem, Bobby Lashley doesn't respect that, Bobby Lashley has 1 and only 1 chance against Roman Reigns due to the brand split, Bobby has 1 and only 1 match against Roman Reigns, and when Bobby Lashley is cornered, that is when The Almighty is at his most dangerous, he knows this first hand, Summerslam 2018, Lashley was cornered, Wrestlemania 35, Lashley was cornered, and even though he lost at Wrestlemania 35, he pushed Brock Lesnar to his limit, and the most recent instance of Lashley's back being against the wall, the 2021 Royal Rumble, when he was in a Winner Takes All Match against Drew McIntyre, and he won that Winner Takes All Match to become WWE Champion, and right now, Bobby Lashley's back is against the wall, he is in a do or die situation, because if Bobby Lashely fails, he becomes an obscure reference in history, a footnote in the annals, a footnote in the chronicles of The Tribal Chief, unless he finds a way to end it all, he's scared, because what's gonna have to happen, is we're gonna have to see Roman go savage, we're gonna have to see a violent Roman Reigns, we're gonna have to see Roman smash Bobby Lashley, because Roman Reigns is gonna have to be a Roman Reigns that we've never seen before, the greatest performance in the history of his career at The Grandest Stage of Them All, the most violent, the most diabolical, the most dangerous, a man far more dangerous than the one who just kept Brock Lesnar down for a count of 10, the goat of all goats, so that they say, and they end of the match, your winner, The Ultimate Needle Mover, The Head of The Table, in God Mode himself, you're World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. MVP says that apparently, life is good for Roman Reigns, because ever since Roman Reigns became World Heavyweight Champion at Summerslam 2 years ago, he's been living life like a hog, flying private jets, eating like a king, and there's a saying, pigs get fat, and hogs get slaughtered, and boy is Roman Reigns a hog, and whenever The Almighty Bobby Lashley stands across the ring from someone who he considers to be a hog, he slaughters them, at Wrestlemania, The Tribal Hog is gonna receive a trademark Hurt Business a$$ kicking to the likes that he's never seen, as The Almighty walks out your 2-time World Heavyweight Champion. After 20+ minutes of carnage, Roman prevails, definitively after 3 Spears to walk out and still the World Heavyweight Champion.)

Card
WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven (C) vs Dakota Kai & Cora Jade
(On the NXT after Stand & Deliver, Gigi Dolin gloats about the successful week she had in Dallas, saying she told everyone week after week that she was gonna embarrass Dakota Kai and take her NXT Women's Championship, and well, she's a woman of her word, because she did exactly that, and with the NXT Women's Championship now in her possession, and not only that, just 3 days later at Wrestlemania 38, she and Piper won the Women's Tag Titles, a the NXT women's division is about to become a lot more, toxic. Dakota Kai interrupts the promo and admits that Gigi did get one over on her, but she's foolish if she thinks she's gonna hold on to that title for long, before the 2 have a brawl. The following week, Dakota Kai has a match with Piper Niven, which ends in a dq thanks to interference from Gigi Dolin, before Cora Jade runs down to make the save, which leads to this match getting set up.)
Grizzled Young Veterans w/Ava Raine vs The Viking Raiders
(Following their second-round exit in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, The Grizzled Young Veterans (who do not get repackaged as Joe Gacy's disciples. Nothing wrong with Gacy, but did GYV have to be the team paired with him? However, they do keep their alligence with Ava Raine from Schism, just with the GYV gimmick) begin racking up a win streak under the guidance of Ava Raine, scoring decisive wins over Malik Blade & Edris Enofe and Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen. At Spring Breakin, Zack Gibson & James Drake issue an open challenge to any team in the locker room, which is answered by the former NXT Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders, who make a one-off return to NXT. Gibson & Drake score the win after an impressive Ticket to Mayham on Erik.)
NXT North American Championship
Bron Breakker (C) vs LA Knight
(Following his North American title win at Stand & Deliver, Bron Breakker cuts a promo on the NXT after Stand & Deliver. In the promo, Bron praises all of the 6 men who he faced off against in the ladder match, and saying that most of them are outstanding human beings, but enough about that, it's time to talk about what he wants to do as champ, he knows he's got no bye weeks, he wants to defend this North American Championship week in and week out against the best of the best. Bron's promo is cut off by one of the men who he faced in the ladder match at Stand & Deliver, LA Knight. Knight says that it's no secret who Bron is talking about when he says "most of them are outstanding human beings", for some reason, he's trying to pick a bone with The Namer of Dummies, The Million Dollar Megastar, and it pisses him off that some newbie can come into NXT, win The North American Championship before him, open up his big fat head hole that only a dummy would have and spew a bunch of BS about LA Knight, well that proves to be a rookie mistake for young Bron, because now he's living on borrowed time as champion, because LA Knight wants the first crack at Bron Breakker's North American Championship, which he'll take from Bron like he's taking candy from a baby, and that, is just a fact of life. Bron says that LA Knight's problem is he keeps digging himself into wholes that he just can't get out of with that jackass mouth of his, but at Spring Breakin', that jackass mouth is getting wired shut. Bron Breakker retains after a Spear.)
NXT Tag Team Championships
The Creed Brothers (C) w/Diamond Mine vs The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo & Santos Escobar) w/Stacks, 2 Dimes, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Elektra Lopez
(The D'Angelo Family begins a feud with Diamond Mine following a tag title defense by The Creed Brothers against Pretty Deadly, when Tony D gets his crew to attack Malcolm Bivens backstage to explain why Malcolm wasn't at ringside, before Tony D puts Malcolm in a bodybag and causes him to "sleep with the fishes", which is done to write Malcolm Bivens off tv so he can become Stokley Hathemway in AEW. The Creed Bros want to get a measure of revenge on The D'Angelo Family and lay down a challenge for a tag title match at Spring Breakin' against any members of The D'Angelo Family, saying that Tony D and his family can get it anywhere, anytime. They've slammed bodies on the mat, they've put people on asphalt, they'll put people through concrete if necessary, because it's on-site after what Tony D did, and unlike 'The D'Angelo Family', Diamond Mine is a family, they attack one of us, they attack all of us. The Creed Brothers' challenge to The D'Angelo Family doesn't sit well with Roderick Strong, who's unhappy that The Creed Brothers (who have slowly been turning face) are just awarding title shots, that's now how he did things when he was the tag team champions, and he gets that Julius & Brutus are acting emotionally after what happened to Bivens. However, it still doesn't mean you hand out title shots for free, he'll let it slide this time, but he doesn't wanna see it happen again. Tony D responds to The Creed Brothers' challenge, accepting it on behalf of The D'Angelo Family, saying that the big bad dojo bros are upset he made their little friend sleep with the fishes, and the only reason these 2 knuckleheads need a dojo is because they can't fight on the streets, these fugazi tough guys, they got everyone fooled, but not The D'Angelo Family, they think they're a part of the strongest group in NXT, they're already falling out with their leader, and now they think they can beat The Don of NXT's crew, the well-oiled machine, so they can bring their towels, bring their singlets, yell all they want, but that's not gonna change the outcome, because The Creed Brothers, and Diamond Mine as a whole, are finished. As a sign of trust, Tony D picks Santos Escobar to be his tag team partner. The finish comes following a ref bump when 2 Dimes throws a crowbar to Escobar, but Escobar (who is slowly turning face along with the rest of Legado Del Fantasma) throws the crowbar away, which proves to be his downfall, as he gets set up for the sitout lariat by Julius Creed, allowing The Creed Brothers to retain to the tag team championships. Following the match, Tony D grabs his crowbar and it looks like he's about to attack Escobar, only to shockingly attack 2 Dimes for even considering giving it to Escobar, while also saying he knows 2 Dimes has been trying to make a move for his chair. Tony D then hits The Swinging Neckbraker on 2 Dimes then gets LDF to beat him down, which they reluctantly do. The Don of NXT then puts 2 Dimes in a bodybag and gets Stacks and LDF to carry him out, and within a week, he's sleeping with the fishes. This is done to write 2 Dimes off for his release following a failed drug test.)
NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Solo Sikoa
(On the NXT after Stand & Deliver, the show kicks off with new NXT Champion GUNTHER, flanked by Ludwig Kaiser & Giovani Vinci. In his promo, WALTER promises that this is the era of Imperium, an era of dominance, an era of pride, an era of power & success in this great sport, for Imperium, an era generations in the making ever since he was named after his family patriarch and was introduced to this great sport by his grandfather, an era lead by Der Ring General, WALTER. The following week, Solo Sikoa wins a #1 contenders gauntlet eliminator match over Cameron Grimes, Roderick Strong, Carmelo Hayes, Joe Gacy, and Nathan Frazier to become the #1 contender to the NXT Championship, securing himself a showdown with Der Ring General at Spring Breakin'. Solo Sikoa says we get it, the mat is sacred, well he doesn't give a damn about that mat, because on the island, he's gotta climb the ladder, find the biggest and baddest dude, and smack the taste out of his mouth, and that's exactly what he's gonna do at Spring Breakin' when he wpies the mat with the so-called Ring General, makes him his b*tch, and becomes the NXT Champion. GUNTHER says he's going to make an example out of Sikoa to anyone who wants to step up and challenge him for his NXT Championship, because he is at the top of the food chain in this great sport, and with each title defense, he will ensure the mat remains sacred. This is the same match from the 03/01/2022 episode of NXT, but given a lot more time since it's now for the NXT Championship. After the match, as Imperium is celebrating in the ring, Tommaso Ciampa's music hits, and outcomes the former 2-time NXT Champion, making his first appearance since losing the title at Stand & Deliver. Ciampa stares down with GUNTHER, making it clear that their rivalry isn't over, and there will be one final showdown between the 2.)

John Morrison vs Austin Theory w/The Miz
(Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Austin Theory makes his official main roster debut on the Raw after Wrestlemania 38, squashing an enhancement talent and doing his now trademark post-match selfie. This squash victory manages to earn the attention of The Miz, who decides to take Austin Theory under his wing. Over the next several weeks, Austin Theory squashes the likes of R-Truth, Reggie, and Akira Tozawa. Following the squash win over Tozawa, Austin does a post-match beatdown with some more selfies, before John Morrison runs down to make the save. Morrison blasts Theory for his arrogance, thinking he's entitled to greatness because he's The Miz's protege, when he's just padding his stats against those who he knows he'll run right through, so how about he faces an actual challenge for once. Theory then goes to Sonya Deville and requests a match against Morrison for Backlash so he can put that loudmouth Morrison in his place. Theory scores the upset win over the former IC champ, getting the knees up on a Starship Pain and hitting the A-Town Down for the win.)
Main Card
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
(On the Smackdown after Wrestlemania 38, Cody Rhodes makes his first entrance on WWE TV in 6 years. Cody cuts the same promo that he cut IRL, talking about his Dad Dusty, how he wants to make his Dad proud by winning that same big gold belt that he did, he wants to be the one who dethrones Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship. The promo is cut off by Seth Rollins who is steaming following his defeat to Cody at Wrestlemania 38, but in a surprising act, Seth just comes to the ring to shake Cody's hand. The following week, Seth lays down the challenge for a rematch against Cody, saying that Cody had an unfair advantage over him at Wrestlemania, he didn't know he was going to face off against The Artist Formerly Known as Stardust. Cody eventually interrupts the promo, accepting Seth's challenge. As for the match, it's the same as in real life, Cody wins on a roll-up, frustrating Seth.)
2 out of 3 Falls Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships
RK-Bro (C) vs Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Drew Gulak) w/Otis (1-2)
(Alpha Academy defeat Los Lotharios and The New Day in a Triple Threat #1 contenders match to earn another shot at RK-Bro and the Raw Tag Team Championships. Over the next several weeks, The 2 teams compete in "Academic Challenges" to determine the stipulation for the match, with RK-Bro winning the majority of those 2-1, allowing them to pick the stipulation. Orton & Riddle choose a 2 out 3 Falls Match, because in their minds, the Academic Challenges were just a glorified version of that, and seeing as they've beaten Alpha Academy in 1 best of 3 series, why not make it 2. Chad Gable says that Randy & Matt made a big mistake choosing 2 out of 3 Falls, because they may have scored a fluke win in that series of Academic Challenges, but they are the far superior team on the mat, and they'll prove it when they become Raw Tag Team Championships. Randy Orton suffers a back injury that puts him out indefinitely.)
Lumberjack Match
Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn
(After coming up short against Johnny Knoxville at Wrestlemania, Sami Zayn begins a feud with Drew McIntyre, after the 2 have a match on the Smackdown after Wrestlemania, which ends in a Count-Out win for Drew due to Sami running away. Drew keeps chasing Sami around over the next couple of weeks, until a Lumberjack Match is made for Backlash. Before both men make their entrances, we see Roman Reigns & The Bloodline backstage in the locker room as Roman Reigns is preparing for his World Heavyweight Title Defense against EC3 later on in the night. While he's preparing, Paul Heyman informs Roman Reigns that he has a guest that wants to see Roman, that guest being The Master Strategist, Sami Zayn, with Roman telling Paul to bring him in. Sami starts off by telling Roman that he acknowledges him, and he's a big fan, with Sami also saying that there is no dispute that Roman is The Head of the Table, but what people often forget is that in addition to himself being The Master Strategist, he's also The Locker Room Leader, and Roman's got his own locker room here, that's fine, but, Sami says that earlier on in the evening, he caught Drew McIntyre saying very disrespectful things about Roman Reigns and his entire family, which leads to the reason as to why Sami is here, he has a proposal for Roman, because you see, Sami says that his reputation as taken a nose dive lately, and it's to the point where people think he's afraid of Drew McIntyre, but he needs to prove the haters wrong, that he can beat Drew McIntyre and regain his credibility, so if there was a way that Roman could give him some help with that, he would be more than happy to help out in return, because he could be a very valuable ally, he acknowledges Roman, and he needs Roman to recognise him, because he acknowledges Roman. After Sami leaves, Roman tells The Usos that there are people on his show running their mouth about him, he needs The Usos to take his name out their moves. This leads to The Usos becoming Lumberjacks in the match. The Usos presence pays off, as they assist Sami Zayn to a victory. Even though Drew loses to Sami here, he ultimately wins the feud, as he defeats Sami in a Steel Cage Match 5 days later on Smackdown.)
Bobby Lashley w/The Hurt Business vs Elias (By Technical Submission)
(On the Raw after Wrestlemania 38, Bobby Lashley is in action against Mustafa Ali. Lashley scores the win over Ali, with The Hurt Business attacking Ali after the match, until Elias' music hits, and The Drifter comes out, making his first appearance in 8 months. The Hurt Business think Elias is with them, and set Ali up to be hit by Elias' gutair, only for Elias to shockingly hit MVP over the head with the gutair, turning Elias face. Elias then counters an incoming Spear from Lashley into a Drift Away, and takes out both Shelton & Cedric. Elias explains his action the following week, saying that ever since The Hurt Business' inception, he's seen that they're nothing but a bunch of bullies, they constantly have the numbers of game over everybody, so he had to knock them down a peg or 2 with just him and his gutair, and the best way to shut up The Hurt Business, is by silencing the leader, so he wants a match with MVP at Backlash. The Hurt Business later respond to Elias, with MVP saying that his in-ring days are behind him, so if Elias wants to act like an uncaged animal, he can face off against The Almighty. Inteference by The Hurt Business allows Lashley to score the win over Elias with The Hurt Lock, but Elias never taps out. After the match, The Hurt Business beat down Elias 4-on-1, until Mustafa Ali runs down to make the save with a Steel Chair in hand, returning the favor for what Elias did for him by saving him.)
WWE United States Championship
Finn Balor (C) vs Keith Lee w/Zelina Vega & Los Lotharios
(Following his US title victory at WrestleMania, Finn Balor says he wants everyone on the Raw roster to step up and bring their A-game, because The Prince won’t be relinquishing his throne anytime soon. Zelina Vega interrupts and invokes Keith Lee’s rematch clause on her client’s behalf. Zelina says that Finn’s victory at WrestleMania was nothing short of a fluke, and Lee will tear The Prince limb from limb. After a banger of a match between the 2, Balor wins definitively with 2 Coup De Grace's. Following the match, Zelina berates her client Keith Lee for failing to reclaim the IC title, slapping him, which causes Lee to become enraged, attacking Los Lotharios, and telling Zelina he quits.
No Holds Barred Match - Damian Priest is banned from ringside
AJ Styles vs Edge
(After Edge's victory at Wrestlemania 38 thanks to Damian Priest, Edge explains all of it the next night on Raw. Edge says that he is an honest man, he said AJ was going to face his Judgment Day at Wrestlemania, and welp, he did, it's just what everyone didn't expect was for Damian Priest to appear, but, it makes perfect sense if you stop to think about it, now for AJ, for all the fans, thinking is hard, but for too long, Damian Priest has been facing his inner self, just like him, for far too long, Damian Priest tried to be a fine upstanding role model for all of these sheep, just like him. Edge then gives Damian Priest a chance to speak. Priest says that he's been listening to Edge for the past month, and he's taken it all in, because in the weeks leading into Wrestlemania, he was lost, he had to buddy up to The Mysterios just to get a spot on the Wrestlemania 38 card, where for the second year in a row, he was in a tag match against The Miz & John Morrison in a match that also featured a celebrity, and then hearing Edge's message, it made him realise, what he was he doing lowering himself to the standards of tagging with a washed up old men and his failure of a son at Wrestlemania, now he knows Edge was speaking AJ, but Edge's message, it felt like Edge was speaking directly too him, that's why, it was so easy to make the decision to pledge his loyalty to Edge. AJ responds a the following, saying that he knows Edge was gonna have some trick up his sleeve, so he wants a rematch, a No Holds Barred Match, so he can batter Edge with anything he can think of. AJ defeats Damian Priest on the go-home Raw before Backlash to get him banned from ringside. The match is a barbaric brawl, as Edge & AJ want to tear each other apart, as they batter each other with chairs, kendo sticks, trash cans, stop signs, fire extinguishers, Spears through the barricade, it's chaos. The closing moments of the match see's AJ about to hit The Styles Clash on Edge, but suddenly, Joe Gacy's theme music hits, and outcomes the NXT star himself, Joe Gacy. The crowd is confused, why is Gacy here, not only that, AJ Styles is confused, why is Gacy coming out right now? While Gacy has AJ distracted, Edge crawls over to AJ, and low blows him from behind. Gacy gets in the ring, gets AJ to his feet, and hits an Upsidedown World on AJ, before he gets AJ back to his feet, and Irish Whips him into a Spear from Edge, with Edge then pinning AJ for the win, Joe Gacy has joined Judgment Day. After the match, Damian Priest runs down and the trio beat down AJ, until US Champ Finn Balor runs down to make the save, AJ has an ally.)
Dog Collar Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Blair Davenport
(On the Raw after Wrestlemania, Alexa Bliss addresses the emotional 24 hours she had before where she reclaimed the title she once held for 546 days, she never thought she would have this again, but now that she does, she wants to break that record for long reigning Raw Women's champion. The former champion Blair Davenport interrupts the promo, and she goes off on Alexa, saying that having to pretend to be Alexa's best friend for her first 4 months in WWE was like having to walk a dog on a leech, and she wants to make Alexa feel that in their rematch, she wants Alexa in the first ever Women's Dog Collar Match at Backlash. Alexa accepts Blair's challenge, promising to leave Blair in a pool of her own blood at Backlash. The match is a bloody affair, Alexa and Blair use the chain to inflict all types of harm on each other. In the closing moments of the match, Davenport has Alexa set up for a Kamigoye, only for Asuka to make her shocking return after almost 8 months away due to injury, spraying the poisonous green mist in the eyes of Davenport, not having forgotten about what happened at Extreme Rules the previous year. Bliss makes Davenport tap out to a chain assisted sleeper for the win.)
Fatal 5-Way Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks vs Sarah Logan vs Mandy Rose w/Jacy Jane
(On the Smackdown after Wrestlemania, the show kicks off with the now 2-time Smackdown Women's Champion Liv Morgan, fresh off winning the title in the main event of Wrestlemania 38: Night 1. Liv explains that she never thought she would get this title, someone like her was never supposed to main event Wrestlemania, but she showed that she was able to go from 1/3 of The Riott Squad, regularly losing, to becoming 2-time Smackdown Women's Champion in the main event of Wrestlemania, anything is possible. Liv's former Riott Squad tag partner Sarah Logan interrupts, saying that she's extremely happy that Liv got her big Wrestlemania moment, but she wants to test herself against her best friend, she wants a shot at Liv's Smackdown Women's Championship. The woman who Liv defeated to win the title, Becky Lynch, interrupts Liv's promo, furious that Liv is out here talking about her journey to winning that title instead of the woman who made her an overnight star by letting Liv get a fluke win over her, where is her thank you from Liv, her token of appreciation? So if Liv's gonna be ungrateful, then she'll just have to take the Smackdown Women's title back. Mandy Rose (who has a new brunette look that she debuted a few months earlier, along with her new protoge Jacy Jane) interrupts, saying that Liv must feel really lonely at the top considering her only friend is now wanting to face her for the championship, that is just the start of the collateral damage Liv is causing as Smackdown Women's Champion, that belt needs someone who can do no such thing as champion. Sasha Banks then interrupts the promo, and says that if anyone should be taking credit for Liv's monumental rise, it should be her, because had Liv not gotten that fluke double pin against her in the lead up to Survivor Series last year, then there's no way any of this ever happens, which makes her the catalyst in Liv's rise to the top, and she will also be the catalyst in the downfall of Liv's title reign. Liv said she didn't scratch and claw her way back to this title just to lose it right away, so if they all want to try and take this from her, then they can do so at Backlash. This spotfest that gives all 5 women moments to shine throughout the match concludes with Liv Morgan once again pinning Becky Lynch after an Ob-Liv-ion to retain her Smackdown Women's Championship.)
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Kevin Owens vs Samoa Joe
(Following his WWE Championship win at Wrestlemania 38 Night 1, Karrion Kross draws the ire of 2 challengers, 1 from his present, and 1 from his past. Kevin Owens invokes his rematch clause against Kross, saying nothing is motivating more than defeating Karrion Kross, he needs to be the one to snap his undefeated streak, and now that he took the WWE Championship from him, he's as motivated as ever to get it back. Samoa Joe begins going after Kross and the WWE Championship, with Joe saying that when he faced off against Kross at NXT: Fall and Pray in that Falls Count Anywhere Match so deadly it changed NXT as we know it, he saw fear in Kross, when Kross stood across him from that Royal Rumble ring, he saw fear in the eyes of Karrion Kross, Kross fears him, Kross knows that he's the only guy on his level, he's the guy who can break his undefeated streak and take the WWE Championship, and thanks to to the blessing he's been given by Sonya Deville, he has that chance at Backlash. Kross says that Keivn Owens just doesn't know when to quit, he almost ended his career when he punched a cinderblock over his face, he denied him of winning the Royal Rumble, and he was unable to keep the WWE Championship in his possession at Wrestlemania 38, and as for Joe, he may think they're matched in power, but if that's the case, why wasn't he able to eliminate him from the Royal Rumble Match, because he's not the same Kross he faced in that Falls Count Anywhere Match, he iss far beyond greater to what he was when he faced Joe back in that Falls Count Anywhere Match, because then, Joe was lucky to stalemate him, but now that he's far superior, Joe would be lucky to even survive.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) w/Paul Heyman vs EC3
(On the Smackdown after Wrestlemania, Roman Reigns makes his ridiculously long entrance to the ring to cut an in-ring promo, addressing his victory over Bobby Lashley, saying that there's no one left to defeat, he's accomplished all that he can on this run, they've had to bring in guys from Raw to challenge him for his title, and not even they can defeat him, so it just might look like he will reign as World Heavyweight Champion until the sun dies out, but that promo is cut off by a man who Roman hasn't faced, EC3. EC3 begs to differ that Roman has no one left to face, because on this nearly 2-year run as World Heavyweight champion that Roman has been on, he has yet to face The Top One Percenter, he wants his shot to send Roman on that permanent vacation he's already planning on, only he's not gonna have the World Heavyweight Championship, because it's gonna belong, to E, C, 3. Following EC3 winning a #1 contenders battle royal on Smackdown to earn himself a shot at The Tribal Chief, Roman responds to EC3, claiming that EC3 is the most over-confident individual he's ever seen, his overconfidence is ranging on borderline arrogance, and the reason why EC3 is so overconfident, is because he's from down there, and down there, he was a big fish in a small pond, but up here in WWE, he's a goldfish in an ocean, The Tribal Chief's ocean, and Backlash, EC3 will be just the latest person to acknowledge The Head of the Table. In the closing moments of the match, Roman Reigns goes for a Spear on EC3, but EC3 counters it into The One Percenter, but Paul Heyman pulls the referee out of the ring. Sami Zayn runs down and repays Roman Reigns for The Usos helping him win his match against Drew McIntyre earlier on by low-blowing EC3. Roman then hits a Spear for the win on EC3 to retain, and he owes it to Sami Zayn. Has Roman found himself an Honorary Uce for The Bloodline?)

British Rounds Rules Match for the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship
Oro Mensah (C) vs Mark Coffey (2-1)
(Mark Coffey defeats Noam Dar to earn a shot at The NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship. Coffey says that The one thing that The Gallus firm has been missing throughout their tenure here in NXT UK, is singles gold, he corrects that at Mensah's expense when he becomes NXT UK Hertiage Cup Champion. Mensah says that he knows not to underestimate Mark Coffey, he may be known as a tag team specialist, but he could surprise a lot of people 1 on 1.)
Dog Collar Match - Symbiosis is Banned from ringside
Eddie Dennis vs Wild Boar
(In March of 2021, Eddie Dennis forms Symbiosis with Primate and T-Bone, with the trio putting Wild Boar on the shelf for over a year after Primate turns on Boar. Boar returns a year later, with his sights set solely on Eddie Dennis. After months of feuding with Symbiosis, Wild Boar finally gets his hands on Dennis at Takeover: Hamburg, when Johnny Saint forces Dennis to compete in a Dog Collar Match. Boar says he personally holds Eddie Dennis responsible for every bit of hell he's been through for the past year, and he's going to beat Eddie Dennis into a coma. Dennis says that Boar is a danger to society who will be promptly delt with.)
Triple Threat Match for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships
Moustache Mountain (C) vs Pretty Deadly vs Gallus (Joe Coffey & Wolfgang)
(After Moustache Mountain reclaim the NXT UK Tag Team Championships at Takeover: Paris, they begin regularly defending the title against the likes of Symbiosis and Die Familie, until but 2 old foes in particular want those tag titles back, Gallus, and Pretty Deadly. Pretty Deadly say that these 2 ruffians have already destroyed everything that the NXT UK Tag Titles meant in their possession, the belts are just there now, now being treated with the ounce of respect that they deserve with sideplate checks, but this can all be corrected went the 2 tastiest snacks in NXT UK reclaim what is rightfully there's. Gallus say that they need to still prove to everyone that this is their kingdom, because it has been a damn long time since The Gallus Boys held the NXT UK Tag Team Championships, so they need to rewrite that wrong at Takeover: Hamburg. Moustache Mountain say that they are having the run of a lifetime, they are going to ensure this title reign never ends, with Trent Seven in particular saying he doesn't know what he's going to do if they lose the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. The closing moments of the match see's Trent Seven try to cheat and hit Kit Wilson with one of the titles, but Tyler Bate stops him from doing so. Elton Prince then takes out Bate with a Dive to outside, and Wils rolls up Seven with a handful of tights for the win, making Pretty Deadly your 2-time, 2-time, NXT UK Tag Team Champions. After the match, Trent Seven tells Tyler Bate he's done and walks out on him, is this the end of Moustache Mountain?)
World of Darkness Match for the NXT UK Women's Championship
Isla Dawn (C) vs Meiko Satomura
(After the months that have passed since Takeover: Paris, Meiko finally gets her rematch against Isla Dawn. Dawn says that we had to live under Meiko Satomura's rule for far too long, but now, Meiko is in her world, but now, she has finally ascended to the top, and NXT UK is living in a World of Darkness, so if Meiko wants this title back, she'll have to best her in a World of Darkness match, because the Darkness will encase Meiko, it will smother Meiko, she wants Meiko to cry as hard as she can, because she won't be able to handle it. Meiko says that the mist Isla sprayed her with back at Takeover: Paris was a big mistake, because now, she doesn't just want to beat Isla, she wants to hurt Isla. This is the same match that aired on the 05/05/2022 episode of NXT UK, only with Dawn now winning.)
Loser Leaves NXT UK Match for the NXT UK Championship
Ilja Dragunov (C) vs Jordan Devlin
(Following his defeat to Ilja Dragunov at Takeover: Paris, Jordan Devlin has a rematch with Ilja Dragunov on the 03/03/2022 episode of NXT UK, this time, in an Empty Arena Match, but with Ilja Dragunov once again prevailing. Afterwards, Devlin does some self-reflecting, saying that he's going to let everyone in on a story from his childhood, it's one of his earliest memories, he remembers his Dad coming up to him when he was around 3, saying "Son, you can do whatever you want to do, but whatever you do, you make sure you rise. If you want to be in The Army, go be a General, if you want to do Art, make sure you're a Picasso", well here he stands as The Irish Ace, and he will not be denied of the NXT UK Championship for a 3rd time, so he's challenging Ilja Dragunov to 1 final match at Takeover: Hamburg, because the winds of change are blowing, and he will become NXT UK Champion. Dragunov says his worst nightmare is to see this blown up rockstar become NXT UK Champion, so he suggests that the winner of this match becomes NXT UK Champion, and the loser, they will leave NXT UK, because he wants to make sure NXT UK never see's Devlin's face again. This is the exact same match that aired on the 05/12/2022 episode of NXT UK, which includes that false finish, and Dragunov definitively winning with The Torpedo Moscow, banishing Devlin from NXT UK,)

NXT North American Championship
Bron Breakker (C) vs Tony D'Angelo w/The D'Angelo Family
(Not long after Spring Breakin', Tony D'Angleo & Stacks confront North American Champion Bron Breakker backstage, with Tony saying to Bron that if he wants this title reign to last a while, then falling in line under The Don isn't such a bad idea, Bron Breakker responds to Tony, saying he's Gabba-Good on whatever offer Tony D might have involving his title, so thanks, but no thanks. This angers Tony D, who alongside the rest of The D'Angelo Family, attacks Bron Breakker following a match with Duke Hudson. Tony D later wins a triple threat #1 contenders match over Solo Sikoa and LA Knight to secure himself a North American Title Shot against Bron Breakker. Bron Breakker wins after Santos Escobar costs Tony D the match.)
Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships
The Creed Brothers (C) w/Diamond Mine vs Grizzled Young Veterans w/Ava Raine vs MSK
(Following their win over The War Raiders at Spring Breakin', Zack Gibson & James Drake make it clear that they are the next ones in line for a shot at The Creed Brothers NXT Tag Team Championships. MSK (Nash Carter isn't released, he doesn't do any n*zi stuff and never meets Kimber Lee in this timeline) beg to differ, saying that they should be the ones who get the next NXT Tag Team Title Shot. Shawn Michaels then sets up a #1 contenders match between the 2 teams, only for it to end in a Double Count-Out, leading to both teams getting the tag team title shot. GYV employs psychological warfare in the lead-up to the match by trashing The Diamond Mine Dojo. Also during this time, Roderick Strong brings in Damon Kemp to join Diamond Mine to also help The Creed Brothers train for their title defense against GYV. GYV says that they're scared, terrified, about what they're gonna do to these 2 waterboys for oldman and worst member of The Undisputed Era Roderick Strong, who even in his prime can't lace the boots of the GRIZZLED! YOUNG! VETERANS! Soon to be recognised as the next NXT Tag Team Champions, because at In Your House, The Creed Sissies will receive their ticket to mayham. MSK say that it's been 8 long months since they held those NXT Tag Team Championships, it's time they course correct and and take the belts back from The World's Greatest Tag Team ripoff. The Creed Brothers say that Gibson & Drake are always the bridesmaids and never the bride, they never seem to win the NXT Tag Team Titles whenever they have a shot at them, and as for MSK, their championship window closed months ago, and at In Your House 3, the status quo stays intact. After the match, Nash Carter shockingly attacks Wes Lee, breaking up MSK and turning Nash heel.)
NXT Championship #1 Contenders Match
Grayson Waller vs Cameron Grimes
(Shortly after Spring Breakin', Grayson Waller and Cameron Grimes begin a mini-feud with each other after Grimes interrupts Waller in a backstage interview, with a match between the 2 eventually being set up for IYH, with it also being made a #1 contenders match as both men are staking their claims for a shot at The NXT Championship. Waller says that if he had a dollar for every time Cameron Grimes said "to the moon", he'd enough money to fly Grimes to that dumpster fire known as North Carolina that he came from, and he's saying he's got next at The NXT Championship, the only thing he's got is no hope of winning and staying in the same spot as the gatekeeper of NXT 2.0 because he's a disappointment, and after In Your House, it stays that way, and that, is The Grayson Waller Effect. Grimes says Grayson Waller has a point, all he has done is disappoint, for the past 3 years in NXT all he has done is disappoint time and time again, but that changes at In Your House, at In Your House he gets a chance to get one step closer to fulfilling what he told his Dad right before he died, become a champion in NXT, so at In Your House, he will cave that low budget Miz's head in and go, TO, THE MOON! Grimes gets the win after countering Waller's Rolling Stunner with a Cave In, followed by another Cave In.)
Title vs Contract Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Gigi Dolin (C) w/Piper Niven vs Dakota Kai
(Following Dakota Kai falling to take the tag titles off Gigi at Spring Breakin', The Captain of Team Kick invokes her rematch clause against The Toxic Attraction of NXT for a match at In Your House. In the leadup to the match, Gigi raises the stakes for the match, Gigi states that Dakota Kai has been in NXT for 5 years, and that's 5 years too long, she has done nothing but stink up the joint since she arrived in NXT in 2017, she's outstayed her welcome, so she wants Dakota to put her NXT contract on the line, so if, no, when she loses, she gets to rid the NXT locker room of the cancer that is Dakota Kai, and at In Your House, after Dakota is gone, she better not let the door hit her on the way out. Kai accepts Gigi's challenge to put her NXT contract on the line, saying that she's done all there is to do in NXT, she's been women's champion, she's been in Wargames matches, she's even represented NXT on the main roster, so she has nothing left to lose here in NXT, but that doesn't mean she doesn't want to kick that smug look of Gigi's face and become a 2-time NXT Women's Champion. Gigi Dolin scores the win, meaning Dakota Kai is (kayfabe) fired from NXT (she doesn't get released).)
2 out of 3 Falls Match for the NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Tommaso Ciampa (2-1)
(On the NXT after Spring Breakin', Tommaso Ciampa addresses his return and confrontation with the man who took Goldie from him. Tommaso Ciampa says that he wants 1 more match with WALTER, he needs to prove to everybody that he can do what he has failed to do twice in the past, he needs to prove he can defeat GUNTHER and become a 3-time NXT Champion and once again claim back Goldie, because after all the hell he went through to get back Goldie after having to relinquish the title due to neck surgery which was for the sake of his career, a career that he thought was over as the doctors said he was "living on borrowed time" if he ever came back to wrestling, but after that 2 and a half-year wait was worth it after all the setbacks, all the betrayels, the sacrifices, but this time, it's not about that, this time, it's about conquering 1 man, one man who for the past year has been the boogeyman for him, GUNTHER, and at In Your House, he's invoking his rematch clause, this is his last stand against GUNTHER, and he's for damn sure not coming up short, because he will do everything in his power to ensure he leaves NXT In Your House 3 as a 3-time NXT Champion. GUNTHER responds to Tommaso Ciampa the following week, saying that Tommaso Ciampa is resilient, he just doesn't know went to quit, and in this great sport, that goes a long way, but you can't do that when you're up against Der Ring General, you have to know when enough is enough, and for someone who keeps on clinging onto the past like Tommy Sports Entertainment does, cause all he talks about is Goldie this, Goldie that, he's a complacent fragile old man, and if he wants to get his beloved goldie back so bad, then he's gonna have to do something he's never done before, he's gonna have to defeat Der Ring General twice in 1 night, because at In Your House, it will be a 2 out of 3 Falls match for one of the most valuable prizes in this great sport, The NXT Championship, and at In Your House, he will prove why he is the superior athlete on this sacred mat. Ciampa shockingly scores the first fall over GUNTHER with a roll-up within minutes of the match beginning, forcing Der Ring General to have to play catch up throughout the match, which he manages to succeed in doing, as GUNTHER scores the next 2 falls to win the match and retain the NXT title after a 25+ minute banger, Cameron Grimes now awaits.)

Hell in a Cell Match
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
(On the Smackdown after Backlash, Cody Rhodes has an IC title match against Isaiah Swerve Scott, which gets interrupted by Seth Rollins, who attacks Cody, causing a dq, with Seth concluding the beatdown with a Curb Stomp on the announce table. The following week on Smackdown, Cody addresses Seth's attack, saying that the biggest threat to Seth Rollins isn't him, it's Seth Rollins himself, because Seth is trapped in this pandemonium purgatory of his own design, and Seth is hellbent and pulling me in with him, and that purgatory is something that Seth has been trapped in for the past 6 years as he has failed to climb back to the top of the metaphorical ladder since he lost the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam 2019, while Cody's story, though somewhat similar, is different. As the cool kids like to say, he took his ball and went home after failing to break through for almost a decade, bet on himself, came back a bigger star then ever, but Seth is hellbent on dragging Cody back down to that same spot he was in for almost a decade, and despite losing 2 big matches on PPV, he's still keeping that mission alive, and if Sami wants to succeed with that mission, he's gonna have to kill him, because Cody wants 1 more match with Seth, inside Hell in a Cell. Seth responds to Cody from the backstage area, saying that first, Cody wants to steal his spotlight at Wrestlemania 38, then Cody wants to cheat to win at Backlash, and now 1 Curb Stomp later and Cody is pleading with The Visionary for 1 more match, this time, inside Hell in a Cell. Seth says that Cody's decision to challenge him to a Cell match is the biggest mistake he's ever made in his life, even worse than getting that neck tattoo, because he accepts. On the go-home Smackdown before HIAC, Seth lays into Cody about how he wasn't good enough during his first run, how he and his little indy friends tried to tear down what he was building, he came back with his tail between his legs, he hates how Cody can take a sledgehammer to the throne, come back, and try to take said throne, that isn't gonna happen, because just like when he had to paint a star on his face, he's gonna be looking up at the lights at Hell in a Cell. This then leads to a brawl between Cody & Seth, which Seth gets the better of, trapping Cody's right arm between the ring post and steel steps, and hitting the steps with a sledgehammer, injuring Cody's right arm. This is the exact same match that happened IRL, with Cody winning with a sledgehammer shot after 20+ minutes of chaos. 5 days later on Smackdown, Cody comes out to cut his "I'm going away" speech, Seth Rollins interrupts the promo, and as a sign of respect, shakes Cody's hand. As Cody heads back up the ramp, and waves goodbye, Seth reveals that the offering of respect was a ruse, and attacks Cody with the sledgehammer, further injuring Cody's torn pec, writing him off TV.)
The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley & Cedric Alexander) w/MVP vs Elias & Mustafa Ali
(Following Backlash, Elias' troubles with MVP and The Hurt Business continue, only now he has a newfound ally in Mustafa Ali. Elias & Ali challenge The Hurt Business to a tag match at Hell in a Cell, which MVP accepts, saying that Elias & Ali just doesn't know when to quit, they've taken beating after beating for the past few months, and they're still standing, he'll give them credit for that, but they're severely outmatched, and they need to give up for their own good. Bobby is tagging with Cedric here due to Shelton Benjamin being out with a minor injury at this time. Elias scores the win with a Drift Away on Alexander.)
Keith Lee & Matt Riddle vs Los Lotharios w/Zelina Vega
(Having turned babyface at Backlash, Keith Lee becomes the main target of his old stablemates, Los Lotharios. Luckily for Lee, he gains an ally in Matt Riddle, with The Original Bro offering to be Lee’s partner for this match. Zelina Vega promises that her men will humiliate Lee for walking out on them, and not only that, that giggling stoner man-child he calls a tag team partner will once again show the world why he was a failure in RK-Bro, and still is. Lee scores the win with a Spirit Bomb on Carillo.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Usos (C) vs EC3 & Shinsuke Nakamura
(On the Smackdown after Backlash, a visibly frustrated EC3 comes out, and you can tell something is off, his entrance isn't over-theatrical as usual. EC3 says he had the match won, he had Roman dead to rights, and had the World Heavyweight Championship in his grasp, but thanks to that slimy scumbag known as Paul Heyman, that weasel Sami Zayn came down and low-blowed him, nd just like that it, he was robbed of the World Heavyweight Championship. But now he wants his rematch, and if Roman Reigns doesn’t come down to the ring right now, he’ll drag him out. Paul Heyman then comes out, does his introduction for Roman Reigns, before revealing that Roman Reigns isn't here tonight, and not only is Roman Reigns not here tonight, he's taking another well-deserved vacation. This sends EC3 into a frenzy, as he trashes the ringside area. Later on in the show, EC3 is extremely frustrated that he can't get his rematch against Roman Reigns, so he takes out his frustrations backstage by attacking some of the lower midcard heels, which nets him a match against Jinder Mahal, who he squashes. Following the squash win, EC3 is attacked by The Usos, who still keep EC3 busy under the orders of The Tribal Chief. The Usos attack EC3 until Shinsuke Nakamura, who is holding The Usos responsible for Rick Boogs' injury, runs down to make the save, leading to Adam Pearce making this match, Throughout the match, EC3 is tagging Nakamura a little too stiff, and is more unhinged than usual. The closing moments of the match see's EC3 having Jey Uso in position for the One Percenter, only for Roman Regins' music to play. This distracts EC3, allowing Jey Uso to roll him up for the win. It's then later revealed that Sami Zayn (who is proclaiming to be an "Honorary Uce") played Roman's music to help The Usos retain.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swerve Strickland (C) w/Hit Row vs Happy Corbin w/Madcap Moss
(Corbin wins a #1 contenders battle royal to earn a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. Corbin says that nobody wants to see this Wiz Khalifa wannabe hold on to the Intercontinental Championship, he doesn't deserve it at all. Swerve says that for the past 4 months, he has been a fighting IC Champion, defending this title night in and night out, he isn't going to let cueball over here take the belt away from him.)
Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Shayna Baszler
(With Blair Davenport now in her rear-view mirror, Alexa Bliss finds herself the target of Shayna Baszler. In the build up, The Queen of Spades claims that Alexa is a bad look for the Raw Women's division, that she has no idea which personality Bliss is pretending to be, and the fact that a screwed up little girl is what's standing between her and the Raw Women's Championship is absolutely pathetic. Alexa says that no one fears Shayna anymore, no one has feared her ever since she lost the Raw Women's title, and that she is lingering on as a parody of herself. Bliss scores a big win over Baszler with Twisted Bliss. Following the match, both women are attacked by a returning Lacey Evans, who throws Baszler into the barricade and knocks out Bliss with the Woman’s Right.)
6-Man Tag Team Match
Judgment Day (Edge, Damian Priest, & Joe Gacy) vs AJ Styles, Finn Balor, & Dolph Ziggler
(Following Backlash, Joe Gacy explains why he joined Judgment Day. Gacy says that in Black & Gold NXT, he was facing his inner self, just like Edge, he wasn't standing out because of that, but when NXT rebranded, he embraced himself for who he was on the inside, and not only that, Edge reached out to him, Edge saw the uphill battle he was facing before he became a man of inclusivity, like when Edge did the same by starting up Judgment Day, and Edge wanted Gacy by his side. Judgment Day's Damian Priest & Joe Gcay then make their tag team debut later on in the night, defeating The Dirty Dawgs, with Edge giving Robert Roode a conchairto post-match to write him off for a neck fusion. This leads to Ziggler linking up with AJ & Balor to get a measure of revenge on Judgment Day for injuring his tag team partner. AJ says that these 3 think they're the new Ministry of Darkness, when in reality, they're a poor man's Raven's Flock. The match is a 6-man demolition derby, full of bodies flying left, right, and center, with Edge scoring the win for Judgement Day, pinning the US Champion Finn Balor, has Edge secured himself a future US title shot?)
I Quit Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Becky Lynch
(Liv Morgan’s rivalry with Becky lynch reaches its climax. On the SmackDown after Backlash, Sasha Banks saves Liv from a beatdown at the hands of Becky Lynch. The next week, Sasha approaches Liv backstage and apologises for everything that has happened between them over the past few months, an apology that Liv accepts. Not taking kindly to Banks’ new change of heart, Becky challenges The Boss to a number one contender’s match to the SmackDown Women’s Championship, but only if Sasha puts her career on the line. Sasha agrees and Sonya Deville reluctantly makes the match. This match ends up being Sasha’s last match in the WWE. Post-match, Becky feigns a hug and savagely beats down Sasha for "betraying their horsewomen friendship", and concludes the assault with 3 Conchairtos, writing Sasha off tv permanently. The following week, Becky goes over the history between her and Sasha, burying Sasha for her 'betrayal', saying that Sasha got what she deserved for thinking she was bigger than the WWE itself, and at Hell in a Cell, Liv Morgan will get what’s coming to her. Liv lays into Becky for her actions, saying that she's disgusted with what Becky has done, that Sasha was someone who was like a sister to Becky, and she finds it baffling that she once looked up to and aspired to be like Becky, but now she wants Becky to experience nothing but karma, because she wants to end Big Time Becks… in an I Quit Match! Liv debuts her new "Liv gone mad" remix theme here. Both women batter each other in an all-out war all over the arena, with Liv paying homage to The Boss with a steel chair assisted Bank Statement, which causes Becky to say "I Quit!", and allows Liv to retain her title.)
Triple Threat Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Kevin Owens vs Samoa Joe
(After both KO & Joe came up short against Karrion Kross at Backlash, they still have their personal issues with Kross and are far from finished with him, leading to Sonya Deville once again making a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship between the 3 men, this time, inside Hell in a Cell. Kross says that he has been haunting these 2 men for a long time, every night when they're in their bed, being affected by sleep paralysis, they see a demon in their dreams, how that demon is going to torture them, he is that demon, because that's exactly what Owens and Joe are in store for at Hell in a Cell. Joe says that Kross thinks he's correct about everything, when he's not, because even a stopped clock is right twice a day, because nobody can remain undefeated forever, and Kross is trying too hard to be perfect, when he's not focusing on what could end him, because unlike both of his challengers, he doesn't know what Hell in a Cell is like, he is a rookie when it comes to Hell in a Cell, and the Hell in a Cell will be his undoing. KO Owens says that Kross and Scarlett have been a black cloud that has hung over Raw for far too long, they've out-stayed their welcome, and in Chicago, it'll be his honor to end the rule of the Mickey and Mallory Knox rejects, and to take back the WWE Championship. The 3 goliaths go nearly 20 minutes, with all 3 men destroying each other with whatever weapons they can find under the ring, with the action even spilling to outside the cell as Joe suplexes Kross through the wall during the match. In the end, it's Kross who scores the win after a Kross Hammer to KO with a chair wrapped around KO's head.)

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Bianca Belair vs Rhea Ripley vs Tegan Nox vs Raquel Rodriguez vs Becky Lynch vs Toni Storm vs Shotzi Blackheart vs Sarah Logan
(Not much story, it's a Money in the Bak Ladder Match. Becky Lynch & Raquel Rodriguez do come in with major targets on their backs due to them being the only heels on the match. Despite this, Becky comes close to winning, until Rhea Ripley sets up a ladder next to Becky's, which Becky pushes over, only for Rhea to use her foot to stop it and use the ropes to set it back up, and kick Becky off her ladder. Rhea then unhooks the briefcase to become Miss Money in the Bank.)
No Holds Barred Match
Blair Davenport vs Asuka
(After the events of Backlash, Asuka and Blair Davenport enter into a feud. Asuka says that Davenport cost her months of her career, that is time that she is never going to get back, and while she was gone, she led Raw like the tyrant that she is, treating her title reign like it was a dictatorship, and even though Blair is no longer the champion, that doesn't mean she's done reaping what she sows. Davenport says that Asuka is a coward, she fled Japan because she knew that one day, the Top Gaijin would come there and tear down everything she built up, so she abandoned it and fled to WWE, but then The Commonwealth Queenpin went there to, and when they finally came face to face, she "got injured" because once again, she's a coward, but she's happy that Asuka is finally brave enough to step up and take the beating that she deserves.)
Raw Tag Team Champions
Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) (C) w/Drew Gulak vs The Street Profits
(The Street Profits defeat The New Day and Los Lotharios in a Triple Threat Match to become the #1 contenders to the Raw Tag Team Championships. Chad Gable says that if The Street Profits know what's best for them, they better turn right around and retreat when the bell rings, because they don't have a chance in hell of dethroning The Alpha Academy, a thank you. Montez & Angelo say that they're gonna slap Gable small status and Otis' t-rex arms all the way back to the Jurassic period.)
WWE United States Championship
Finn Balor (C) vs Edge w/Judgment Day
(Following their victory at Hell in a Cell in the 6-man tag, Judgement Day divert their attention from AJ Styles to Finn Balor, with Edge wanting to go after the US title to win it for the first time. Edge says that Finn Balor has the potential to be a force of nature for Judgment Day with The Demon that lies deep within, but he is poorly misguided by his friend AJ, which isn't 2 sweet, it's tragic, but in order for Finn to have to come to his senses, Judgment Day needs that United States Championship. Balor responds to Edge, saying that Edge must have taken way too many chair shots to the head over the years, cause he still seems to think it's 1999, but he's got news for Edge, it's 2022, and Damian Priest & Joe Gacy aren't Christian and Gangrel, and he's not getting his hands on The United States Championship. Gacy & Priest try to interfere in the match, but AJ Styles runs down to aid Balor against JD, allowing Balor to retain the US title.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Usos (C) vs Hit Row (Top Dolla & Ashante "Thee" Adonis) w/Swerve Strickland & B-Fab
(Hit Row win a Fatal 4-Way #1 contenders match over The Brawling Brutes, The War Raiders, and Veer & Shanky to become #1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. Top Dolla says that The Usos boutta go broke after they lose those tag titles, they won't be able to wear those J's that make them "cool and hip" anymore, they'll have to settle for crocs. The Usos say that this is the most exposure that Walmart Michael B Jordan and the NFL reject whose only other talent is being an uber driver, because Top Dolla's in-ring skills are the color of the money he's after, green. Even though The Usos score the win here after they pin Ashante "Thee" Adonis after a 1D, Ashante's shoulder was up, and the ref didn't see it. This leads to Hit Row arguing with the referee, even shoving the referee to the ground, teasing a slow heel turn.)
Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Bayley
(Bayley returns a little earlier than she did in real life, now sporting new red har, and setting her sights straight for Liv Morgan and the Smackdown Women's Championship. Bayley says that if Liv wants to be considered a great Smackdown Women's Champion, she needs to get past her, someone who she's never beaten on PPV 1-on-1, the same woman that took the Smackdown Women's Championship from her, the same woman who's going to do it again, so she better hand her title over, or else she'll end up like Ruby Riott. Liv said that Wrestlemania 36 was one of the darkest days in her life, it's the day Bayley became her worst enemy, she's the one who nearly ended the career of one of her best friends, but she needs to do something she's never done before, pin Bayley, and finally put her in her place.)
Symphony of Destruction Match
The Hurt Business vs Elias, Mustafa Ali, & The New Day
(After Elias & Ali were victorious at Hell in a Cell, Elias challenges MVP to one final match at Money in the Bank, him and MVP, in a Symphony of Destruction Match. MVP surprisingly accepts, but says it's gonna be Elias & 3 other goons, vs the entire Hurt Business in his little Symphony of Destruction Match. Elias recruits Mustafa Ali and The New Day to go to war with him against The Hurt Business. The finish of the match see's Bobby Lashley accidentally Spear MVP, get hit by a drum from Mustafa Ali. Elias finally gets his hands on MVP, hitting him over the head with a gutair, and hitting him with a Drift Away for the win.)
Triple Threat Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Shayna Baszler vs Lacey Evans
(Following her return at Hell in a Cell, Lacey Evans (still a heel, but now with her new homelander knockoff gimmick) addresses her return, saying that she's had to sit on the sidelines for far too long and watch the Raw Women's Division become this toxic cesspool in her absence, but that changes now that she's back, because she's taking that Raaw Women's Championship. Shayna Baszler interrupts Lacey, saying that she speaks for everyone when she says that they forgot Lacey even existed, when she went away on maternity leave, the show went on, the wrestling world moved on and left her behind, and now she has to reinvent herself as this patriot to try and become relevant again, but it's not gonna happen at her expense. Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss then comes out and interrupts Lacey and Shayna, saying that Lacey must be a big fan of The Boys, because she literally thinks she's Homelander right now, and as for Shayna, she gave her one of the toughest fights of her life back at Hell in a Cell, just as tough as the dog collar match she was in, and if she has to get through Shayna once again and the woman who generates the sound of crickets everywhere she goes, then so be it. Alexa scores the win over Lacey with a Twisted Bliss.)
Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
AJ Styles vs Matt Riddle vs Keith Lee vs Austin Theory w/The Miz vs Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn vs Ricochet
(Not much story for this one, all the guys want to win the Briefcase to cash it in, except for Sami Zayn, who only wants to win it so he can sit on the briefcase for a whole year to prevent everyone else form cashing in on Roman Reigns. It's also worth noting that Seth Rollins and Ricochet come into this match feuding with each other. John Morrison interferes in the match to cost Austin Theory.)
Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) vs Samoa Joe
(Samoa Joe defeats Kevin Owens in a #1 contender match to earn 1 final match against Karrion Kross at Money in the Bank, which Sonya Deville makes a Last Man Standing Match to serve as the big blow off. Kross guarantees this to be the end of Samoa Joe, this is the final nail in his coffin, at Money in the Bank, he will be the judge, jury, and executioner of the fate of Samoa Joe. Joe says the first time he faced Kross, neither of them got back up, this time, not only will Kross not get back up, but he'll still be standing to become the new WWE Champion.)
Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) w/Paul Heyman vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sheamus w/Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland
(On the Smackdown after Hell in a Cell, Roman Reigns makes his return to Smackdown with a ridiculously long entrance, to shit on Smackdown, saying the show needs him, he takes one vacation, and Smackdown sucks, it's almost as bad as Raw, but now that he's back, it's business as usual. EC3 interrupts the promo, reminding Roman that he has unfinished business with The Bloodline, and saying that we all know Roman hasn't been taking a 'well earned vacation', he was sitting on his ass at home, using the vacation as an excuse to not have to give him the rematch he deserves, but now, there's nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. EC3's ally throughout the past month Shinsuke Nakamura then interrupts, with Naka saying that initially, he was done with The Bloodline after Wrestlemania 37, but after The Usos took out Boogs at Wrestlemania 38, he's now had a renewed purpose for taking out Roman Reigns and ending his reign as World Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus then interrupts, saying that Nakamura doesn't deserve a damn thing considering he's been playing second fiddle to someone who carried on like a crybaby after they got embarrassed in the main event of Backlash, but you know who does, The Celtic Warrior. This leads to Adam Pearce interrupting, and announcing that Roman Reigns will defend the World Heavyweight Championship, in a Fatal 4-Way Match at Money in the Bank against EC3, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sheamus. The week before Money in the Bank, Adam Pearce announces that a Triple Threat Match between Roman's 3 challengers, EC3, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sheamus will take place, and whoever is pinned or submitted in that match will be removed from the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. Towards the end of the match, EC3 is about to hit Sheamus with The One Percenter, until The Usos come out and hit EC3 with a Double Superkick, followed by a 1D. The Usos then drag Sheamus on top of EC3, cover, 1...2...3, Sheamus wins, and EC3 is now out of the World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank. EC3 loses his shit following this, as he trashes the ringside area, ripping apart the ring, tearing apart the announce table, and even assaulting some referees, before Adam Pearce comes out and tells him that he's indefinitely suspended for his vandalisation of the ringside area and assaulting referees. Th following week on the go-home episode of Smackdown before MITB, Vince McMahon makes a surprise appearance to confront Adam Pearce backstage about The EC3 situation. Vince tells Adam Pearce that EC3 is not going to be suspended, he's going to be reinstated as apart of the Smackdown, because, EC3 was about to win that match until The Usos got involved, let EC3 have a chance to control his narrative, because at Summerslam, EC3 will face the winner of the World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank for the title... in a Steel Cage! After Roman wins the match, EC3, sporting a much darker look, comes out from the crowd, laying out Roman with a One Percenter, and hoisitng up the World Heavyweight Championship.)

NXT The Great American Bash
Date: July 9th, 2022
Location: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Card
Bodybag Match - if Santos Escobar wins, Legado Del Fantasma if free from The D'Angelo Family, if Tony D'Angelo wins, Santos Escobar must leave NXT
Tony D'Angelo w/Channing 'Stacks' Lorenzo vs Santos Escobar w/Legado Del Fantasma
(On the NXT after In Your House, Tony D'Angelo meets with the rest of The D'Angelo Family backstage, with Santos Escobar noticeably absent from the family meeting. LDF picks up on this and asks Tony D where Santos is, with Tony responding that he was gonna walk out of In Your House as The North American Champion or else, well, here's there or else, with The Don of NXT then showing LDF a pic of a hospitalised Santos Escobar. A few weeks later, LDF has an NXT Tag Team title match against The Creed Brothers, which they lose, which pisses off Tony D, who goes to beatdown the Legado boys alongside Stacks, only for Santos Escobar to make his triumphant return, laying out Tony D and Stacks alongside the rest of Legado Del Fantasma. The following week, Santos and Tony D have a face-to-face meeting alone in the park, no Stacks, Legado, just themselves, where Santos proposes one final match, where if Santos wins, Legado Del Fantasma is free from The D'Angelo Family, but if Tony D wins, then Santos is gone from NXT. Tony D agrees to Santos' match, but he wants it to be a Bodybag Match, because nothing else will give him more satisfaction than seeing Santos Escobar carried out of NXT in a bodybag to be sent to sleep with the fishes. After a brutal match, Tony D manages to wrap Santos up inside the bodybag to win, meaning Santos Escobar is gone from NXT. The following week, Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde lose a tag team match to Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, which is the last straw for Tony D, who kicks Wilde, Del Toro, and Elektra Lopez out of The D'Angelo Family for being dead weight. As LDF leaves the Capitol Wrestling Center, Santos Escobar shows up in an SUV, telling them "You didn't think I was gonna leave without you? Get in". LDF hops in the car and join Santos on his journey to the main roster.)
Wes Lee vs Nash Carter
(Following his heel turn at In Your House, Nash Carter explains his actions on the NXT after In Your House. Nash says that everybody saw Wes as the star of MSK, everyone thought that he, he was just riding Wes's coattails, like when Wes was the one that Dolph Ziggler challenged at Stand & Deliver, instead of him, time and time again, it's always Wes Lee this, and Wes Lee that, and he's had enough of it, so whether or not the fans like it, he's taking his career back into his hands. Wes returns the following week, and heads straight for Nash Carter, challenging him to a match at The Great American Bash. Wes says that Nash was like a brother to him, they've been teaming with each other for 7 years, for 7 years, he put them first instead of him, but Nash, Nash couldn't handle being outshined, so he decided to throw 7 good years away, so he's gonna inflict a world of hurt on Nash Carter. After Nash picks up the win, he places a Steel Chair around Wes Lee's neck, and big boots Wes into the ring post, writing Wes off TV for a bit.)
Apollo Crews vs Duke Hudson
(On the NXT after In Your House, the show kicks off with the shocking return of Apollo Crews to NXT for the first time in 6 years. Crews cuts basically the same promo that he did IRL only with Bron Breakker now absent. After Apollo's return, Duke Hudson begins targeting Apollo, saying he's caught up in the past, he still thinks it's 2015-16, but a lot has changed in the 6 years he's spent on the main roster sitting in catering, so if he's come back to NXT to turn over a new leaf, he should just leave, because if he decides to stick around, his career will turn out worse than it was on the main roster. Crews says that on paper, Hudson's future looks bright, but the way he sees Hudson's future, it's non existent, just like any hope Hudson has of defeating him. After this loss, Duke Hudson goes on a lengthy losing streak, which sets him on the path to join Chase U.)
NXT North American Championship
Bron Breakker (C) vs Carmelo Hayes w/Trick Williams
(Following his battle with Tony D'Angelo at In Your House, Bron Breakker moves on to a feud with the man who he defeated to win the North American Championship in a ladder match, Carmelo Hayes. Melo says it's been damn near 3 months since he got screwed out of the title that he elevated the title he made The A Championship on NXT, and ever since Rick Steiner's kid stole that championship from him, he hasn't even scratched the surface of the success that he accomplished as North American Champion, and at The Great American Bash, he takes his title back cause Melo don't miss. Bron says that while Melo has been sitting back liking photos of Instagram models in their bikini bottoms, he's been putting in the work as North American Champion, and at The Great American Bash, that work continues, and to quote his Uncle Scott, the number don't lie, and they spell disaster for you, at The Great American Bash. Bron wins after making Melo tap out to The Steiner Recliner. This is Melo's last match in NXT before being called up to the main roster.)
NXT Tag Team Championships - Ivy Nile is the guest referee
The Creed Brothers (C) vs Diamond Mine (Roderick Strong & Damon Kemp)
(Following their successful tag title defense against Grizzled Young Veterans and MSK at In Your House, The Creed Brothers are still on shaky terms with Roderick Strong, who is still as strict as ever with them. After Diamond Mine loses a 6-man tag to Nathan Frazer, A-Kid, and Sanga. This leads to Roddy losing his cool backstage and getting an NXT Tag Team Title Match set up between himself & Damon Kemp and The Creed Brothers to determine who the best tag team in Diamond Mine is, with Ivy Nile being made the special guest referee. The Creed Brothers retain after Julius Creed hits his trademark lariat on Damon Kemp.)
NXT Women's Championship
Gigi Dolin (C) w/Piper Niven vs Roxanne Perez w/Cora Jade
(After Gigi Dolin sent Dakota Kai to the (kayfabe) unemployment line, a #1 contenders tournament is set up to determine who will challenge Gigi Dolin for her NXT Women's Championship at The Great American Bash. Cora Jade makes it to the semi-finals of the tournament after scoring wins over Ivy Nile and Nikkita Lyons, where she squares off against Kay Lee Ray. In that match, Cora Jade wins, but she suffers a (kayfabe) ankle injury that forces her to have to withdraw from the tournament, leaving her spot in the finals open. Luckily, Cora's best friend Roxanne Perez (who debuted in May and quickly formed a partnership with Cora Jade) takes her place in the finals of the tournament where she faces off against Tiffany Straton, where she wins to become the #1 contender to the NXT Women's Championship. After Roxanne wins the #1 contenders tournament, Cora Jade tells Roxanne to give her the title shot against Gigi since she was the one initially in the tournament, but Roxanne says that she knows Cora worked hard to get to that match, but she had to pull out, she won, so she's the one who gets the title shot. Roxanne says that she knows she can be a champion of honor for NXT and restore the title to the honor and prestige that previous title holders have had it at, because the way she sees it, Gigi Dolin is just dragging that title through the mud, and that comes to an end at The Great American Bash when she becomes NXT Women's Champion. Gigi says that nobody cares that she knows how to be an honorable champion, just because she learned how to be one in a dying promotion that cut her loose so they could be bought out by some billionaire NFL Owner's cokehead son, because all that matters is what happens in the ring, and what's gonna happen at The Great American Bash is she's gonna win and walk out and still NXT Women's Champion, because this title is staying around the waist of The Toxic Attraction of NXT. At the beginning of the show, Roxanne Perez is found attacked in the parking lot, and nobody knows who did it. Cora Jade has a backstage interview later on in the show and says that she didn't arrive to the arena with Roxanne, and accuses Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven of attacking Roxanne so Gigi could have an easy title defense and this is exactly the type of thing they would do. Gigi Dolin has a backstage interview later on, and denies having attacked Roxanne in the parking lot, saying she isn't a coward, she isn't the type of champion to attack her opponent in the parking lot hours before their title match, and neither is Piper, but she does say she applauds whoever had the guts to attack Roxanne in the parking lot. Gigi then makes her entrance to the ring alongside Piper and instructs the referee to begin counting to 10, when the count is cut off by Cora Jade, who says that she spoke with NXT management, and Gigi is contractually obligated to defend that title tonight, and seeing as she initially made it to the finals of the #1 contenders tournament and had her opportunity taken away from her due to an injury she's now healed from, she has no problem having that title match now against this orange-haired troll. Just before the belt is about to ring, a visibly injured Roxanne comes out, and despite Cora pleading with Roxanne to not go ahead with the match, Roxanne still insists the match goes ahead despite her injuries. Gigi constantly remains 1 step ahead throughout the match, until a small glimmer of hope appears for Roxanne when she catches Gigi with a codebreaker that sends her outside the ring, which Roxanne follows up on with an outside dive. Roxanne then rolls Gigi back into the ring when Piper Niven begins to distract the ref. While Piper has the ref distracted and Roxanne is getting back in the ring, Cora Jade grabs a kendo stick from underneath the ring and whacks Roxanne's injured back with it, turning Cora heel. Gigi then nails Roxanne with the Gigi Driver, covers her, and retains the NXT Women's Championship. After the match, Cora Jade gets in the ring with her skateboard, and tells Roxanne "You're pathetic. I made you. I brought you here and this is what you do. You're selfish". Cora Jade then lifts up her skateboard (which doesn't comically break) and breaks it on the back of Roxanne.)
NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Cameron Grimes
(Following the end of his rivalry with Tommaso Ciampa, GUNTHER moves on to his next challenger, the #1 contender to his NXT title, Cameron Grimes. GUNTHER says that this title shot is a long time coming for Grimes, he's worked his way up from jerking the curtain to competing for the most valuable prize in this great sport, The NXT Championship, and he's a somewhat dangerous challenger because he has everything to gain and nothing to lose, but at The Great American Bash, he becomes just another casualty in the title reign of Der Ring General on this sacred mat. Grimes says it may seem like he has nothing to lose, but for GUNTHER, it's just another title defense, but what's the worse that happens to GUNTHER if he does lose that championship, he's GUNTHER, he's the longest reigning NXT UK Champion of all time, he and the rest of Imperium can just get called up to Raw or Smackdown, if GUNTHER loses that championship, he's probably on Summerslam, and after he failed to win the North American Championship at Stand & Deliver, he put all his chips in the middle and decided to go all in on GUNTHER and the NXT Championship, he went through Grayson Waller, he become the #1 contender to the NXT Championship, and now it's all or nothing, there's no backup plan, but he guarantees that will become NXT Champion and go, TO, THE MOON! Despite a gutsy performance from Grimes, GUNTHER gets the win after countering The Cave In from Grimes with a powerbomb, followed by a series of powerbomb. After the match, as GUNTHER is celebrating in the ring with Imperium, his music is cut off, it's cut off by a familiar-sounding theme, the theme of The Irish Ace. Outcomes Jordan Devlin, the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion (who's a tweener), who squares off with GUNTHER, telling him "Long time no see. I'm coming for you and that NXT title, I'll see you soon".)

NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool III
Date: July 23rd, 2022
Location: Empress Ballroom, Blackpool, England
Note
(On the 07/07/2022 episode of NXT UK, Ilja Dragunov defends the NXT UK Championship against Wolfgang and is victorious, however, he suffers an ankle injury in that match. The following week, Dragunov has to unfortunately vacate the NXT UK Championship. Johnny Saint sets up an 8-man tournament to crown a new champion.)
Card
NXT UK Championship Tournament Semi-Finals
Oro Mensah vs Trent Seven
(Following the title being vacated, the 8 man tournament begins. Heritage Cup Champion Oro Mensah defeats Charlie Dempsey to progress past the first round, whilst Trent Seven (who is now a heel, more on that later) makes is past Wolfgang, the man who Ilja Dragunov last defended the title against, to make it to the finals.)
NXT UK Championship Tournament Semi-Finals
Tyler Bate vs Joe Coffey
(Over on the other side of the bracket, the inaugural NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate defeats Noam Dar in the first round to get to the Semi's, whilst The Iron King gets through Mark Andrews to set up a showdown with the Big Strong Boi.)
NXT UK Tag Team Championships
Pretty Deadly (C) vs Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen w/Fallon Henley
(After they reclaimed the NXT UK Tag Titles from Moustache Mountain at Takeover: Hamburg, Pretty Deadly say that now that they are 2-time, 2-time, NXT UK Tag Team Champions, you can expect more dominance from the 2 tastiest snacks in NXT UK. The NXT Tag Team of Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen surprisingly interrupt the champs, saying that they've been waiting to get their shot at gold, and seeing as these 2 are still clinging on to the past of their 441-day title reign, and during those 441 days, these 2 delusional prima donnas thought they were bringing class to those titles when they were just dragging them through the mud, and they won't allow that to happen again. Pretty Deadly says that these 2 drunks just can't cut it over in America, so they've stumbled all the way across the Atlantic Ocean all the way to Great Brittan to foolishly try and dethrone the greatest tag team in NXT UK history.)
Casket Match for the NXT UK Women's Championship
Isla Dawn (C) vs Meiko Satomura
(Meiko Satomura defeats Emelia McKenzie, Xia Brookside, and Stevie Turner in a Fatal 4-Way Match to earn 1 more shot at Isla Dawn's NXT UK Women's Championship. Satomura says that Dawn's black cloud has reigned over the championship she once defended so honorably for far too long, she needs to put a stop to that. Dawn says that she has dedicated Meiko twice, first to win the title, and the second in The World of Darkness, and the 3rd, will by the final nail in the career of Meiko Satomura, because she wants Meiko... in a Casket Match! The 3rd times the charm proves to be it for Meiko, as she hits 2 Scorpio Risings on Dawn before rolling her into the casket for the win, becoming the first ever 2-time NXT UK Women's Champion.)
Tournament Finals for the vacant NXT UK Championship
Trent Seven vs Tyler Bate
(On the NXT UK after Takeover: Berlin, Trent Seven cuts a promo, saying that he genuinely believes he was quite honest with himself for the last few months and honest with all the fans when he said that he didn't know what he was going to do if Moustache Mountain ever lost those NXT UK Tag Team Championships, so, he just doesn't feel the same as he used to, and obviously losing the belts has compounded that, so, he thinks he's only wise that he's honest to himself and all the fans, he's made a decision, however, there is somebody missing from all this, so he asks Tyler Bate to come down to the ring. Tyler Bate then comes down and gets in the ring. Trent tells Tyler there's no way he could have done this without him, the whole experience, he feels so blessed and so privileged to be able to do what he has been given the chance to do, especially at this stage in both his life and career, and he thinks of all the opportunities he had with both Tyler & Pete Dunne, they were all special times, and he thinks about all the moments they've had traveling the length and breadth of the world, from the crazy nights in Canada, to Australia, to a circus tent in Kuala Lumper Malaysia, obviously America, but there's no place like home, and with that, it reminds him of exactly of the moments they've had in NXT UK, where they became the first-ever 2-time NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and of course, that moment that he'll never let anyone forget, when they sold out The Royal Albert Hall and won the NXT Tag Team Championships, and all of those moments, they're so special, and they're going to be such fond memories for him for the rest of his life, so, from the very top of Moustache Mountain, to the bottom of his heart, he wants to say thank you to everyone for being apart of this ride. Trent & Tyler then hug it out, only for Trent to shockingly low blow Tyler Bate, ending Moustahce Mountain and turning heel. Trent then tells Tyler that he never needed him, before hitting a Burning Hammer on Tyler. The following week, Trent Seven explains his actions, saying that what he did was beautiful, it was absolutely beautiful, it's the best low blow ever, but more importantly than that, what he did represents a turning point, because that low blow is the most important moment in British Sports history, because it's the moment that he saved the industry, and everybody knows full well that it was because NXT UK was a dying brand until he did that, but now that the moment has passed everyone by, NXT UK is alive and well, because Trent Seven is on top, and that is exactly where he likes to be, right on the top, right in the middle, the centre of attention, he's the centre of attention now, and he and Tyler were the centre of attention when they were in Brittish Strong Style, and Moustache Mountina, touring the world, selling out every arena, promoters begging them to even be on their shows, and all of this is to show that it isn't him who changed, it's Tyler who changed, he never lost his killer instinct, he was always doing to whatever it took to win, but Tyler Bate lost his nerve, that will to win, it's gone, and the reason why it's gone, it's namaste, it's all that rubbish sitting in a field hugging a tree, because Tyler knows full well he isn't coming back to NXT UK, and he knows full well that he's not going to come back and fight him, because he lost his fighting spirit, Tyler Bate is, the little, weak, boy, while he is NXT UK, he is this brand, he is NXT, he is British Strong Style, he is Moustache Mountain. That segment concludes with Seven assaulting a fan. The following week, Trent Seven scores a victory over Sam Gradwell, and continues to assault Gradwell after the match, only for Tyler Bate to make his return to NXT UK and force Trent to retreat. In a backstage interview that same evening after his return, Bate says that Trent broke his heart, he loved him like a brother, but he can't run forever, because he's coming for him. Before the match begins, both Trent and Tyler do separate backstage interviews. Tyler says it almost feels like fate, life has a pretty funny way of bringing things full circle, you think you know someone, and then just like that, everything changes, and as he replays that moment in his head when Trent betrayed him, is still breaks his heart because Trent gave him a home in the UK wrestling scene, his belief in him let him believe that he was capable of something special, and when he became the first ever NXT UK Champion, he got to share that moment with his best friend, his brother, it made that moment so much more sweeter, because he wouldn't be the man he is today without Trent Seven, but after Trent cut him deep, it's up to him to once again become the face of the brand and become a 2-time NXT UK Champion . Trent says that 12 years ago, there was a training school in Birmingham, and one of those kids that was training there, was Tyler Bate, and he thought that if that kid just had a little bit of guidance, then the sky is going to be the limit for him, so the goal for him when he first met Tyler was to get him the best training possible, and when that goal was completed, and all the success came Tyler's way, it seemed like he was just there, there for all the good times, that were more than likely were more so his good times, and it looked like he was just there, and maybe that's thing that really urged him to make those changes that he needed to make, and here they are, the 2 biggest names in NXT UK, fighting it out, and isn't it strange how his moment, his zenith, comes at Tyler's expense, because we finally get to see the demise of the Big Strong Boi, and the rise of The Saviour of Brittish Sports, Trent Seven. This is the exact same match that aired on the final episode of NXT UK, with Bate winning with one definitive and final Tyler Drive 97 on his former tag team partner to become a 2-time NXT UK Champion.)
