Card
Pre Show
Happy Corbin vs Madcap Moss
(After they lose a #1 contenders match to Hit Row on an episode of Smackdown, Corbin berates Moss following the loss, with this finally bringing Moss over the edge and leading to him attacking Corbin, turning face. The following week, Moss (who now has a much more serious gimmick but isn't a generic white meat babyface like IRL) explains his actions, saying that the employee Madcap Moss is dead, this is a new Madcap Moss, this Madcap Moss doesn't take crap from Corbin week after week, this Madcap Moss doesn't just laugh off the abuse, he's gonna do something about it, he's gonna give Corbin the frustration that has been building up for almost a year now, and he wants to do it at The Biggest Party of The Summer. Corbin responds to Moss, saying that Moss has made the biggest mistake of his career by going against him, and now that he wants a match with him at Summerslam, he'll gladly teach his old stooge a lesson in humility. Moss win the match with The Punchline.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
Alpha Academy (Otis & Drew Gulak) (C) w/Chad Gable vs The New Day
(The New Day defeat The Hurt Business, Los Lotharios, and The Mysterios in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match to become the #1 contenders to the Alpha Academy's Raw Tag Team Championships. In the build-up to the match, The New Day mock The Alpha Academy by dressing up like it's a graduation, saying that The Alpha Academy are the dumbest group in the history of WWE, because they are much more intelligent than Kurt Angle lite, the real life version of Eric Cartman, and the other guy, and that intelligence is what will lead them to becoming 6-time Tag Team Champions at Summerslam. Alpha Academy say that The New Day are washed up, and they're nothing without Big E, they haven't even been able to sniff a championship in 3 years, and they're lucky to even be in the same ring as The Alpha Academy, a thank you.)
Main Card
Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Becky Lynch
(Despite coming up short against Liv Morgan for 3 straight PPVs and failing to win the Women's Money in the Bank, Becky Lynch defeats Shotzi Blackheart on an episode of Smackdown to earn 1 more match against Liv Morgan's Smackdown Women's Championship. Becky says that she needs to win this, everyone's been thinking she's washed up, but she needs to prove to everyone and herself that she still has what it takes to be the face of the division, so this isn't her wanting to beat Liv Morgan to become a 4-time Smackdown Women's Champion, it's her needing to beat Liv Morgan to become a 4-time Smackdown Women's Champion. Liv says that despite everything that has happened between them over the past number of months, she still respects Becky for everything she's done for the women's division in her career, but to steal a phrase from John Cena, Becky's time is up, and her time is now. Becky Lynch seperates her shoulder in this match. After the match, a dejected Becky Lynch confronts Liv Morgan, and offers her hand as a sign of respect. Liv shakes Becky's hand, the 2 women embrace, and Becky embraces Liv's hand before beginning to head to the back. Liv then continues to celebrate in the ring, when suddenly, Blair Davenport's music hits (Blair is traded to Smackdown on the go-home Raw before Summerslam in exchange for Bayley). Outcomes The Top Gaijin herself, confronting her old rival from when she first arrived in WWE. Blair walks down the entrance ramp, but stops when she's at ringside, when suddenly, Dakota Kai's music hits, and outcomes the former NXT Women's Champion, who hasn't been seen since she was kayfabe fired after losing to Gigi Dolin. Dakota stops at ringside, standing side by side with her fellow New Zealander, when suddenly, Io Shirai's music hits, and outcomes another former NXT Women's Champion, The Genius of The Sky, Io Shirai (she doesn't get renamed to IYO SKY), who hasn't been seen suffering an ankle injury in April. Davenport, Kai, and Shirai surround the ring, Liv is outnumbered 3 to 1, until Becky Lynch runs back down and gets in the ring to have Liv's back. Davenport, Kai, and Shirai then hop off the apron and slowly walk to the back, with Blair gazing and Liv's Smackdown Women's title. Damage CTRL, is here.)
Seth Rollins vs Ricochet
(After both men failed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Seth Rollins and Ricochet continue their feud, getting physical with each other any chance they get, whether that be in the ring, at ringside, backstage, even in the parking lot before Smackdown, they can't be contained, leading to Adam Pearce setting up a match between the 2 for Summerslam. Ricochet manages to score the shock win over Seth countering a Curb Stomp with an inside cradle. Rollins attacks Ricochet after the match, giving him a Curb Stomp on the concrete.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swerve Strickland (C) w/B-Fab vs Shinsuke Nakamura
(After coming up short against Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank, Shinsuke Nakamura turns his attention back to the IC title, winning a #1 contenders Fatal 4-Way Match over Dominik Dijakovic, Pete Dunne, and Ridge Holland to earn a chance to become #1 contender to Isaiah "Swerve" Scott's IC title. Swerve says that Shinsuke is a man of many things, he's extremely talented, he's a former 2-time World Champion, 2-time Royal Rumble winner, 2-time Wrestlemania main eventer, Nakamura has done a lot of things 2-time, and winning the IC title won't be one of them. Shinsuke says that Swerve is a marked man, he's in possession of what he is sought after, and he won't stop until he has the IC title once again. Swerve wins after countering a Kinshasa into a rollup, but when Swerve gets the winning pin, he uses the bottom rope for the winning pin, further teasing Hit Row's heel turn.)
John Morrison & Logan Paul vs The Miz & Austin Theory
(After John Morrison costed Austin Theory in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Miz & Theory challenge John Morrison to one final match at Summerslam, daring Morrison to find someone in the back that would even want to team with him. Morrison says that he has the perfect partner in mind, because there's a man who wants payback on The Miz for what he did to him back at Wrestlemania 38, and that man is going to be his tag partner at Summerslam, because at Summerslam, he will be teaming with none other than... Logan Paul! Miz says that he taught Logan, he wouldn't have even gotten the chance to come back to WWE after Wrestlemania 37, he wouldn't have had another match at Wrestlemania match, and then he turns around and accepts John's offer to be his tag team partner, Logan owes everything to him, so he's going to be perfectly clear, he taught Logan everything that Logan knows, but he didn't teach Logan everything that he knows, so at Summerslam, Logan is going to wish he never came back to WWE, when he receives the beating of a lifetime by The Future and The A-Lister. Logan says that all Miz does is talk, it's the only thing Austin Theory is currently learning from him, and after Miz double-crossed him at Wrestlemania, only 1 thing has been on his mind since then, shutting up The Miz, and that is what he & John are gonna do at Summerslam.)
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Edge w/Judgment Day vs AJ Styles
(After AJ Styles cost Edge in his US title match back at Money in the Bank, the 2 have one final match to settle the score once and for all, a Falls Count Anywhere Match. In the buildup to this match, Edge does some self-reflecting. Ever since he returned from his neck injury 2 years ago at The Royal Rumble, he's injected a breath of fresh air into this company, there's been some ups and there's been some downs, there's been moments when he's been unstoppable, untouchable, unbeatable, then he's losing become of chumps like AJ Styles who have a thirst for total nonstop action, he's supposed to be invincible with Damian Priest by his side, but AJ made him look like a fool when he made him fail to become United States Champion, his business with AJ was finished by that point, but no, he just has to keep on coming, but at Summerslam, AJ is gonna stay down. AJ responds to Edge, saying Edge has been having an identity crisis, it's clear since it's been going on for months. He's abandoned The Rated R Superstar persona, a persona that made him a 10-time World Champion, in favor of becoming Wish.com Undertaker, but he remembers what Edge said about him in the leadup to Wrestlemania 38, he's "washed up", when in reality, it's the other way around, because Edge can't win by himself anymore. AJ finally scores a victory over Edge, winning with a Phenomenal Forearm off a Balcony.)
Smackdown Tag Team Championships - Jeff Jarrett is guest referee
The Usos (C) w/Sami Zayn vs Hit Row w/Isaiah "Swerve" Scott & B-Fab
(After poor officiating screwed them over at Money in the Bank, Hit Row secure a rematch against The Usos after defeating Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss in their aforementioned #1 contenders match. Adam Pearce decides that after Hit Row was screwed at Money in the Bank, he's gonna hand pick a referee for this match to call it right down the middle, and that referee is none other than Nashville's own Jeff Jarrett. Hit Row say that they're gonna wack The Usos so hard they'll think they're back in their face painting days, while in reality, The Usos are lying on the mat as the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions are announced. The Usos say that Hit Row should be 1 and Done, cause they the 2's, while we the 1's, but because the referee couldn't do his job at Money in the Bank, they now have to body Mid Row again. The Usos win after hitting a 1D on Top Dolla and Sami holds Ashante "Thee" Adonis' leg to prevent him from breaking up the pin.)
Tag Team Street Fight
The Mysterios vs Los Lotharios w/Zelina Vega
(On the Raw after Money in the Bank, Los Lotharios attack Samoa Joe and put him through the announce table. Angel Garza & Humberto Carillo go to inflict further punishment on Joe, until The Mysterios run down for the save. Over the next couple of weeks, Zelina Vega tries to recruit Dominik Mysterio as her latest client, telling Dominik that what happened to Samoa Joe was justice, justice for the old guard, justice for the way things used to be, like in a few weeks when Rey Mysterio will celebrate 20 years in WWE at Madison Square Garden, which Rey needs to face that he's done, he's washed, it's over, he has nothing else to offer his Son, no wisdom, certainly no strength, all he has is a mask to hide behind and old, tired, circus like tricks that aren't even his, however, she has something more to offer to Dominik, a whole new way of life, he will get to dictate the future of this business with her by his side, and he's more than welcome to join her & Los Lotharios, because he needs to step out of his Father's shadow, he needs to blaze his own path, join her, or continue to suffer alongside his Dad, because if Dom doesn't learn to see things her way, because she can lead Dom to success, unlike Rey, who is not only a bad leader, but a bad father. Dom declines Zelina's offer, saying that her words are disrespectful, because there's no one he would rather learn from than his jefe, and if she has a problem with that, that her 2 clients can meet him & his Dad in the ring at Summerslam. On the go-home Raw before Summerslam, Rey Mysterio celebrates his 20-year anniversary in WWE from Madison Square Garden, only for it to be ruined by Los Lotharios and Zelina Vega, who disrespect Rey by unmasking him. This leads to The Mysterios requesting to Sonya Deville that the match now become a Tag Team Street Fight so they can batter Los Lotharios all across Nissan Stadium. Towards the end of the match, Los Lotharios are on the verge of winning, only for Samoa Joe to make his return after the attack Los Lotharios, giving both Garza and Carillo a Muscle Buster. Rey & Dominik then hit a Double 619 on Angel Garza for the win.)
Bobby Lashley w/The Hurt Business vs Carmelo Hayes w/Trick Williams
(Following Money in the Bank, where he alongside the rest of The Hurt Business came up short in The Symphony of Destruction match against Elias, Mustafa Ali, and The New Day (MVP is written off TV for a bit to sell the effects of the match), Bobby Lashley & the rest of The Hurt Business come out to address what's next for them. Lashley says that Elias got the better of him, and he is one hell of an in-ring competitor, so for that, he has the respect of The Almighty. The promo is cut off by NXT star, former North American Champion, The Final NXT Cruiserweight Champion, The Leader of The New School, The A Champion, Carmelo Hayes, flanked by his good friend Trick Williams. Melo introduces himself to The Hurt Business, listing off all of his accomplishments, and berating The Almighty, saying that he really has the audacity to come out here and do his boy MVP like that by pressing some beta like Elias, he's gone soft, he's not that same guy who managed to win the WWE & World Heavyweight titles,he's just some jacked up 46-year-old with a chrome dome, he's still tryna show that The Old School can dominate, but he wants a match with Bobby Lashley, he wants a match to show The New School is taking over. Lashley accepts Melo's challenge, saying Melo is a really colourful individual, he's gonna be a stud one day, but he just shot himself in the foot by coming out here with his cronie Trick and interrupting The Almighty, because no he's in for a world of hurt come Summerslam. During the closing moments of the match, a ref bump occurs, and Trick Williams hops in the ring to attack Bobby Lashley, before Trick is double-teamed by Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin, who in return get attacked by Melo, when suddenly, MVP comes down to help out Bobby Lashley, hitting Melo with a cane. MVP gets Lashley up to his feet... AND LOW BLOWS HIM! MVP then looks over at Carmelo Hayes, smirks, gets Melo up to his feet, and the 2 embrace. Melo then hits Nothin' But Net on Lashley, the ref covers, 1...2...3, Melo shocks the world and defeats The Almighty. Following the match, MVP, Melo, Trick, Benjamin, and Alexander perform a 5-on-1 beatdown and gets on the mic, informing everyone that Bobby Lashley is out of The Hurt Business, and introducing everyone to the 2 newest members of The Hurt Business, Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes.)
Belfast Brawl to determine the #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship
Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus w/Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland
(Following Money in the Bank, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus renew their feud, with both men wanting the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at the Castle in The UK. Sheamus says that Drew made a big mistake by taking his big ugly head and headed back in the direction towards The Brawling Brutes, because he's already denied Drew of a World Title once when he cost him the WWE Championship at the 2021 Royal Rumble, and at Summerslam, Drew is denied again, because it will be The Celtic Warrior going into The Belly of The Red Dragon at Clash at the Castle and becoming a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion, but before he progresses on to Clash at the Castle, he doesn't just want to beat Drew in an ordinary 1 on 1 match, he wants Drew in a match that he so happens to be undefeated in, he wants Drew... in a Belfast Brawl! With Sheamus saying that when he one his first Belfast Brawl back at Over the Limit 2010, he hospitalised Triple H, when he won his second Belfast Brawl back in February, he hospitalised Cesaro, and at Summerslam, he hospitalises Drew McIntyre. Drew says that what happened to Sheamus? When did he become such a b*tch? Oh that's right, at the 2021 Royal Rumble when he cost him the WWE Championship, now where is the Sheamus he's known for 20 years, up and down the roads together, signing with WWE together, working their a$$es off for opportunities, and now they have a chance to main event the first UK Stadium show in 30 years, the same place where they fought in front of a 100 people, 70,000 people for the World Heavyweight Championship, and he's gonna punk out every single week? Look at the title situation, Roman Reigns is holding the title hostage, he shows up, does what he wants, whenever he wants, and if EC3 wins it, who knows what chaos Smackdown is in store for now that he's gone off the deep end, we need a real World Heavyweight Champion, we need someone to restore prestige, we need a workhorse, we need a warrior, he knows Sheamus still has it in him, and that is the warrior he wants to face to punch his ticket to Clash at the Castle. This is the same match that happened on the 07/29/2022 episode of Smackdown.)
6-Man Ladder Match for the WWE United States Championship
Finn Balor (C) vs Keith Lee vs Kevin Owens vs Matt Riddle vs Elias vs Damian Priest w/Joe Gacy
(After retaining the US title against Edge at Money in the Bank, Finn Balor goes to Raw GM Sonya Deville and requests that she find him the best competition on the roster, which Sonya agrees to do, by setting up a 6-Man Ladder Match for Balor's US title at Summerslam. Keith Lee, Kevin Owens, Matt Riddle, Elias, and Damian Priest all win qualifying matches to earn a shot at Balor's US title. Lee says that when he was US Champ, he was under the wrong guidance, so he wants to become US Champ once again, but this time, he wants to do it the right way. KO says that The US title was the first title he won in WWE, he needs to once again become a champion after losing the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Matt Riddle says that after Randy got put on the shelf, he's on his own, he needs singles success, so he's gonna make that happen when he becomes a 2-time United States Champion. Elias says that he was in this very same match 8 months ago, and it cost him 8 months of his career, this time, he won't be sitting on the shelf for 8 months, he will walk out as the United States Champion. Damian Priest says that Finn got lucky at Money in the Bank against Edge because of that little pipsqueak AJ Styles, but now, he won't be there to save Finn, because Judgment Day will collect gold when he becomes a 2-time United States Champion. Balor says that all 5 of these men are world class competitors, but they aren't going to dethrone The Prince, because for the past 3 months, he has made the US title the title on Raw, and he continues to make it the title when he retains at Summerslam.)
Raw Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss (C) vs Bianca Belair
(Bianca Belair wins a #1 contenders gauntlet match over Blair Davenport, Asuka, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, and Nikki Cross to secure herself a shot at Alexa Bliss' Raw Women's Championship. In the leadup, Bianca says that Alexa is someone she's always wanted to step into the ring with ever since she first stepped foot in a WWE ring 6 years ago, and she knows that Lexi has almost a decade of experience on her side, she was the first woman to win both the Raw & Smackd Women's Championship is, she has the most combined days as a women's champion out of anyone on the active roster at almost 800 days with the Raw & Smackdown Women's Championships, this is a challenge for her, but just like she did in the main event of Wrestlemania 37 Night 1, she knows when to step on up to the plate when it's time to make history. Alexa says that Bianca is doing a great job at being a role model for the new generation of women working their way up through WWE, she's a trendsetter, she main evented Wrestlemania, but she has been nowhere near as dominant as The Goddess has been across her whole career, and at Summerslam, that dominance is showed when she retains her Raw Women's Championship. The closing moments of the match see's Alexa in position to hit Twisted Bliss on Bianca, but Bianca counters it into a K.o.D, before hitting another K.o.D on Alexa to become the new Raw Women's Champion. As Bianca is celebrating in the ring with her newly won Raw Women's Championship, suddenly, the lights go out, and Judgment Day's music hits. Edge, Damian Priest, and Joe Gacy come out to the ring, and everyone is confused, why is Judgement Day out here? They stop at ring side, and Edge just smirks and begins to laugh. Bianca turns around, and she gets clocked by a foreign object, the object in question? The Money in the Bank Briefcase, IT'S RHEA RIPLEY! Rhea now has a new look, sporting black hair, new gear, and new makeup, she's joined Judgment Day. Rhea then goes to the ref (who has remained in the ring during all of this), hands them her briefcase, and cashes in, with Edge pressuring the referee into ringing the bell.)
Raw Women's Championship - Money in the Bank Cash-in
Bianca Belair (C) vs Rhea Ripley w/Judgment Day
(The bell sounds, Rhea big boots Bianca, hits The Riptide, she does her signature cover, 1...2...3, Rhea Ripley is a 2-time Raw Women's Champion, and Judgment Day has gained its first taste of gold alongside a new member.)
WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Brock Lesnar
(On the Raw after Money in the Bank, Karrion Kross is main-eventing Raw in a WWE title match against Elias (who has earned his shot with his recent string of impressive performances). Kross defeats Elias, and after the match, Brock Lesnar's music hits, and outcomes The Beast himself, Brock Lesnar, who gets in the ring and F5's Kross, making his intentions known that he wants the WWE Championship. Kross addresses Brock's attack the following week, saying that he's been visualising the day that he steps in the ring from across Brock Lesnar for 7 years now, but last week wasn't what he envisioned, because last week, he got embarrassed by Lesnar, he never gets embarrassed and humiliated like that, Brock made him look weak, where he's supposed to be the emperor of Raw who his invincible, unstoppable, omnipotent, and Brock made him look like just another guy, he isn't just another guy, he's the god damn WWE Champion, and he's gonna make Brock fall and pray at Summerslam. Brock responds to Kross within the following weeks, saying he doesn't know who Kross is, nor does he care, all he cares is that he has the WWE Championship and he wants, he doesn't care who holds that title if it's not him, he will F5 them into next week if it means becoming WWE Champion, which is exactly what he'll do to this Kross guy at Summerslam. The match is a sprint from the beginning, as Kross & Brock suplex each other all across the ring. Kross manages to score the win with a Doomsday Saito Superplex off the top rope on Brock, followed up with 2 Kross Hammers, further solidifying his dominance.)
Last Chance Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) vs EC3
(Roman Reigns vs EC3, the rematch. In the build up to this match, EC3 says this is not that same EC3 who stood across the ring from Roman Reigns back at Backlash, this is a much more viscous, ruthless, and dangerous EC3. This is an EC3 who is in control of his narrative, this is an EC3 who is showing that he is the essential character in this story, this is an EC3 who is going to kick Roman Reigns' ass and become the World Heavyweight Champion, because if the old EC3 managed to pin Roman Reigns, just imagine what this EC3 is gonna do, and what this EC3 is gonna do, is capture that World Heavyweight Championship, that symbol of pride, respect, and love, which he he hasn't showed recently because all he's showed, is pain and hate, which is the embodiment of the man who currently wields that title, and not only does the man who currently holds that World Heavyweight Championship the embodiment of pain & hate, Roman Reigns is hidden, he's hidden behind tribal necklaces, gear, theme music, a manager, cousins who he uses to do his dirty work, but it's not just that that Roman Reigns hides behinds, he hides behind false monikers such as The Head of The Table and The Tribal Chief, he's none of those, he's a false idol who has been in way over his head for almost 2 years now, carrying a championship that is the equivalent to the weight of the world on his back while he's stranded in the middle of the ocean, an ocean of sorrow, misery, regret, and aingst that he drowns in, waiting to be feasted on by a shark, a shark that is in control of its narrative, because that shark, is EC3, and at Summerslam, he takes that World Heavyweight Championship and restores his sanity. In the weeks leading up to Summerslam, the match is made a Steel Cage match to prevent The Usos from interfering, with the added stipulation of if EC3 loses, he's barred from challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship as long as Roman Reigns is champion. Roman responds to EC3's promo, saying that at Backlash, he broke EC3, on the 06/24/22 edition of Smackdown, The Usos broke EC3, because right now, EC3 is man fueled by rage because he did what everyone did when they step in the ring with The Tribal Chief, fail, and that failure, it's eating him alive, now he's talking about narratives like he's writing a book or something, but one thing is clear, EC3's back is against the wall, or a Steel Cage rather in this case, it's do or die for him, either he finally does the unthinkable and becomes World Heavyweight Champion, or he becomes just another statistic who will acknowledge The Tribal Chief. On the go-home Smackdown before Summerslam, EC3 takes out Paul Heyman and gives him a One Percenter on the concrete, writing The Wise Man off TV for a bit. With no Heyman in his corner, and no Usos or Sami able to interfere, Roman is still able to come out victorious with his back against the wall, putting The Essential Character away with 2 definitive Spears, and walking out the cage door.)

NXT: Heatwave
Date: August 13th, 2022
Location: Heritage Bank Center, Cincinnati, Ohio
Card
NXT North American Championship
Bron Breakker (C) vs Nash Carter
(With The Great American Bash now in the rearview mirror, Bron Breakker moves on to his next North American title challenger, Nash Carter, who is riding a wave of momentum over his victory over Wes Lee at The Great American Bash. Waller says there is a difference between himself and all the other scrubs that have faced Bron Breakker, those scrubs were just competing against Bron, he's gonna dissect Bron in that ring at Heatwave, and he'll be on a 1 way trip to the hospital where he'll be confined right next to Wes Lee. Breakker says that Nash Carter is just the next guy up to challenge him for the North American Champion, but the difference is, he's got a chip on his shoulder cause he couldn't handle that Wes was the bigger star than him, and because of that, he has to go above and beyond to try to be perfect every time he's in this ring, but he's headed straight into a brick wall at Heatwave. A low blow followed up with a Senton allows for Nash Carter to become the new North American Champion, ending Bron's reign at 135 days.)
Apollo Crews vs Grayson Waller
(After scoring a win over Duke Hudson back at The Great American Bash, Crews moves on to another Aussie, this time, it's Grayson Waller. Waller says that on behalf of the NXT locker room, he's not welcome around here, because they don't have room for failed main roster talents, so if Apollo doesn't leave, he'll end up like how Johhny Gargano back at Wargames V. Apollo responds, and challenges Grayson to a match, saying Waller is just some Miz knockoff who dresses like The Tiger King. Waller wins thanks to exploiting an eye injury suffered by Crews after Waller poked Crews in the eye.)
Cora Jade vs Roxanne Perez
(On the NXT after TGAB, Cora Jade explains why she did what she did to Roxanne Perez. Cora says that for the past 10 months, she's been the face of the NXT Women's Division, she's the one on all the posters, all the commercials, the one who the fans appointed the next breakout star, because after her performance in Wargames, the fans couldn't stop talking about her, how great she is, and all the great things she is gonna go on to do, but she wants her best friend along for the ride with her, so she brings Roxanne into NXT, and from day 1, all the fans attention went from her to Roxanne, because all of a sudden, Roxanne is now the next big breakout star, and then the #1 contenders tournament comes along, where she's in it because she's the personifcation of greatness, you can't have a tournament without Cora Jade, but Roxanne isn't, which to be fair, she just got here at the time, but also, she really should be nowhere near that tournament with how little experience she has here in NXT, then, she makes it to the finals where she faces off against Kay Lee Ray where she gets injured by still manages to pull out the victory, but because of her injury, she had to pull out, and who was there to compete on her behalf in the finals against Tiffany Straton? Roxanne. Roxanne did her part and what the tournament for her, however, she decides to keep the title shot for herself and not give it to, you know, the woman who she was filling in for. When Roxanne kept the title shot for herself, she knew their friendship was a lie, she didn't care about her, Roxanne used her to get to WWE, because Roxanne is a selfish b*tch, and you wanna know why she was in her delusional world last week, she didn't even see what attacked her in the parking lot. Yup, that's right, it was her who did it, and the plan was gonna play out perfectly, because Gigi wasn't gonna be prepared for her, and she was gonna go in there and become NXT Women's Champion, but of course, nope, here comes Roxanne coming right on through to ruin her moment, and that's why it felt so damn good to whack her in the back with that kendo stick, because that moment right there marked the end of naive little Cora Jade and the true beginning of The Generation of Jade. A few weeks later, Roxanne returns and costs Cora Jade in a match for Kay Lee Ray's #1 contendership (more on that later), with a match then being set up between the 2 for Heatwave. Roxanne says that Cora wanted this, Cora ended their friendship, and now she has nowhere to hide, because Cora made her bed, and now she has to lay in it. Cora gets the win with a Double Underhook DDT after Roxanne almost gets dq'ed.)
NXT Women's Championship
Gigi Dollin (C) w/Piper Niven vs Kay Lee Ray
O(n the NXT after The Great American Bash, there's a #1 contenders battle royal to determine the next challenger to Gigi Dolin's NXT Women's Championship. In a backstage interview before the match, Kay Lee Ray talks about how much she wants to win the match and go on to Heatwave to challenge Gigi Dolin, when Gigi cuts her off. Gigi berates KLR, saying how can she go from longest reigning NXT UK Women's Champion to getting surpassed by the likes of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez, saying KLR is the biggest disappointment to ever step foot in NXT 2.0. This causes KLR to snap and begin brawling with Priscilla Kelly, which turns The Psychotic Queen of Scotts' face. KLR then goes on to win the battle royal over Cora Jade to become the #1 contender to Gigi Dollin's NXT Women's Championship. KLR says that when Gigi trash talked her backstage, it awakened a fire inside her, and that fire is gonna lead her to the NXT Women's Championship, because she knows how dominant she can be, she was NXT UK Women's Champion for almost 500 days, she ruled an entire continent while Gigi Dolin was doing controversial tampon spots and signing divorce papers. Gigi says she is going to embarrass Kay Lee Ray so bad she's gonna wish she was still taking thumbtacks and barbed wire spots over Glasgow. Dolin wins after interference from Piper Niven.)
Tommaso Ciampa's final NXT Match
Tommaso Ciampa vs Tony D'Angelo w/Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo
(A few weeks after The Great American Bash, Tommaso Ciampa comes out to cut an in-ring promo. Ciampa says that the past 7 years of his career have been the best, night in and night in he's had the time of his life in NXT, but he's done all there is to do, so that is why, he informs everyone that after Heatwave, he will be leaving NXT. Ciampa is interrupted by The Don of NXT, Tony D'Angelo, who comes out alone as he tells Stacks to stay in the back. Tony D says he has a lot of respect for Ciampa, he respects Ciampa enough to confront him face to face, man to man, and after he sent Santos Escobar packing from NXT, he still doesn't feel like he's the man around here, he's been wondering who can he beat to earn that status, who can he beat to put his name in the history books, Tommaso Ciampa, and if Ciampa is planning on leaving NXT behind after Heatwave, then he wants to be the last one to go toe-to-toe with him, cause it would be an honor for The D'Angelo Family. Ciampa accepts Tony D's offer, before being laid out by The Don of NXT. On the go-home NXT before Heatwave, Tony D says that he didn't go out to pay tribute to Tommaso Ciampa that night, he set up the hook, and Ciampa took the bait, because just like Santos Escobar before him, Ciampa gets sent to sleep with the fishes at Heatwave, courtesy of The Don of NXT, Tony D'Angelo. Ciampa says that Heatwave may be his final chapter, but he's writing his own Fairytale Ending. This is the same match from Stand & Deliver IRL. Following the match, the crowd gives Ciampa a standing ovation, pouring him with "Thank you Ciampa" chants as Ciampa walks up the NXT isle one last time, when Triple H's music hits, and the game makes a one-off return to NXT after Karion Kross banished him 1 year earlier. Triple H embraces Ciampa, and Tommaso Ciampa rides off into the sunset known as the main roster.)
NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Jordan Devlin
(On the NXT after The Great American Bash, Jordan Devlin (not JD McDonagh, yet) cuts a prom explaining why he came to NXT. Devlin says that he came to NXT for one reason, WALTER, because you see, back in his homeland of Ireland before he made NXT UK his stomping grounds, he was a hero in a promotion called OTT, he was their top champion, he was The Import Killer, every single great foreign wrestler who came into the country, they got taken out by The Irish Ace, except for one, one man was able to stop him, that man, the current NXT Champion GUNTHER. Time and time again he replays it in his mind, and yeah sure he got the win back, but WALTER was signed to WWE by that point, he wasn't that motivated, he wants to beat GUNTHER at his best and ensure The Irish Ace becomes NXT Champion. GUNTHER says that Jordan Devlin is still haunted by that one night in Dublin, that was the night when he was in an unfamiliar predicament, he was the one lying on the sacred mat that we walk on, and now he's come all the way to NXT, to have the same thing happen to him at Heatwave. WALTER gets the win after a Frog Splash. After the match, as Imperium is celebrating in the ring, a familiar-sounding theme hits. A theme of someone from GUNTHER's past, the theme, of The NXT UK Champion, Tyler Bate. GUNTHER & Bate hoist up their respective titles, the stage has been set for Worlds Collide.)

World's Collide 2022
Date: September 3rd, 2022
Location: Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff, Wales
Card
NXT North American & NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship Title Unification British Rounds Rules Match
Nash Carter (North American) vs Oro Mensah (Heritage Cup) (2-1)
(In the weeks leading up to Worlds Collide, North American Champion Nash Carter is left without an opponent, which enrages him. On the go-home episode of NXT before Worlds Collide, Nash carter comes out and cuts a promo, saying that he has only been The North American Champion for a couple of weeks and already he's being disrespected by not being offered the opportunity for a match at Worlds Collide, so he's gonna take the ball and put it back in his court, because he will not be taking his talents to Worlds Collide. NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion Oro Mensah shows up on NXT, interrupting Carter's promo. Mensah says that out of all these title unification matches taking place at World's Collide, there's 1 missing, and this is the one, he wants to unify that North American Championship with his Heritage Cup. Carter accepts saying that Mensah only wants this because since it's for that trophy that he carries around, it has to be that 1 match type of British Rounds Rules, he may be a rookie to that type of match, but he's still far superior to Mensah in every way.)
WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven (C) vs Tegan Nox & Nikki Cross
(The first of 2 title defenses of the evening for Gigi Dolin. On the go-home episode of NXT before Worlds Collide, Piper Niven scores a victory over Nikkita Lyons in a singles match, with Gigi Dolin getting on the mic post-match, saying that nobody can lace her or Piper's boots, because there's her, and then there's everybody else, and you know what, she's so good, she'll compete twice at World's Collide. Tegan Nox & Nikki Cross from Raw interrupt, making their shocking returns to NXT to confront Gigi & Piper. Tegan & Nikki says that Worlds Collide so far has just been about NXT vs NXT UK, but they wants to get Raw in on the mix, so they want a shot at those Women's Tag Team Titles so they can bring them back to the Red Brand. Gigi accepts for her team, saying that she's is on a mission to collect as many belts as possible, these women's tag team titles will be staying in NXT come World's Collide.)
NXT & NXT UK Tag Team Championships Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Title Unification Match
The Creed Brothers (NXT Tag Team) vs Pretty Deadly (NXT UK Tag Team) vs Gallus w/Joe Coffey vs The War Raiders
(On the NXT after Heat Wave, there is a segment involving Diamond Mine. In this segment, Julius Creed says that Roddy has been trying to destroy what they've build, he's been trying to sink Diamond Mine, and he's just about had enough. Roddy explains to The Creeds & Kemp that he brought them into Diamond Mine because they are one-of-a-kind athletes with endless potential that needed guidance, guidance that he never had, and look at what The Creeds have done under his guidance, they've won the Dusty Cup and become Tag Team Champions, they've got big things ahead of them because of Roddy. Julius says that since May Roddy has had something against him & Brutus, but before he can finish, 3 men attack The Creed Bros & Damon Kemp, as for who the 3 men are? IT'S GALLUS! The NXT UK Stable of WCPW Alumnus Joe Coffey, his brother Mark Coffey, and fellow countryman Wolfgang. Gallus then lays out Roddy, concluding with Joe Coffey hitting his trademark Discus Lariat on Strong as they stand tall over Diamond Mine, signaling they want the NXT Tag Team Championships. Following their arrival on NXT at Heat Wave, Gallus explain why they showed up on American Soil. Joe Coffey says that for over 3 years, he has made NXT UK The Kingdom of NXT UK, and now he intends on doing the same on the other side of The Atlantic Ocean with the NXT, and that starts by beating what they beat into everyone back at home into The Creed Brothers by taking those NXT Tag Team Championships. The Creed Brothers address Gallus' attack on them 1 week after it happened, with NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly interrupting. Pretty Deadly say that The Creed Sisters are too worried about those 3 wild animals, when they should focusing on the team that wants to unify those tag team championships, the team that after they win them will be able to do a double sideplate check, the longest reigning NXT UK Tag Team Champions of all time, Pretty Deadly. The War Raiders make a shocking return to NXT a few weeks before Worlds Collide, saying that they never lost those NXT Tag Team Championships, and that not only should The Blue Brand get involved in World Collide, but they can't think of a better way to represent those NXT Tag Team Championships than by bringing them to Friday Nights. The Creed Brothers say that Gallus claim that NXT UK was their Kingdom, but they were never the top guys because there was always a faction that was better than them at a time, British Strong Style, they were better, Imperium, they were better, and we all saw how Diamond Mine did against Imperium, so since we know how the pecking order goes, they won't be coming out on top, and as for Pretty Deadly, they consistneyl racked up fluke win after fluke win in their title reign, they could never win clean, so at World's Collide, The Creed Brothers will be walking out the Unified Tag Champs, and as for The War Raiders, they vacated the belts 3 years ago, the sport moves on, and so do they, so they'll send them back to Smackdown empty handed. Before the show, Roderick Strong is attacked in the parking lot and it is unknown who did it. Eventually, a ref bump occurs and Elton Prince of Pretty Deadly is in the ring, preparing to hit Julius Creed with a chair, only for Damon Kemp to run down and take out Elton. DK then gets Julius Creed up to his feet, with Julius then preparing to hit the Sitting Lariat on Prince, but before he does, DAMON KEMP HITS JULIUS CREED IN THE BACK WITH A CHAIR! DK exits the ring after striking Julius' back with the chair, the ref gets back to his feet, Kit Wilson gets in the ring, Pretty Deadly hit Spilled Milk, Elton covers, the ref counts 1-2-3, Pretty Deadly have unified the belts, ending The Creed Brothers reign at 157 days.)
NXT & NXT UK Women's Title Unification Match
Gigi Dolin (NXT Women's) w/Piper Niven vs Meiko Satomura (NXT UK Women's)
(On the NXT after Heatwave, NXT Women's Champion Gigi Dolin makes her way to the ring to gloat about her successful title defense over Kay Lee Ray at Heatwave. While she's cutting her promo, Gigi is cut off by none other than the living legend herself, the NXT UK Women's Champion, The Final Boss, Meiko Satomura. Meiko says that Gigi has been very dominant in her reign as women's champion so far, but can she show off that same level of dominance against The Final Boss? She doesn't think so, because there is one title that she hasn't won yet in her illustrious career, and she wants to add the NXT Women's Championship to her trophy case, the NXT Women's Championship, and she wants it at Worlds Collide. Gigi says that first off, if she wanted a challenge from a joshi, she'd hop on a plane to Japan and go work for Stardom, second, nobody knows who this old lady is because 1, nobody watches NXT UK and if say you do, you're lying, and 2, nobody watched WCW cause either weren't born yet or didn't want to be forced to watch wrestling on tuner networks, kinda like people today on Wednesday nights, and 3, she wouldn't mind adding collecting another title to help her cover herself up during photoshoots, because at this point in her career, this grandma isn't The Final Boss, she's The Tutorial Stage, and she doesn't need any cheat codes to get past a godamn old lady at Worlds Collide. The match is a back and forth affair, with it looking like Meiko has the match one after hitting a Scorpio Rising, only for Piper Niven to pull the ref out of the ring. Meiko then takes out Piper and the ref with an outside dive, which buys Gigi enough time to grab her belt. Priscilla then clocks Meiko with the belt when she gets back in the ring, discards it, hits the Gigi Driver, a new ref runs down, they count the 3, Gigi unifies the 2 women's championships in her 2nd match of the night, ending Meiko's title reign at 42 days, and allowing Gigi to become a Triple Champion.)
NXT & NXT UK Title Unification Match
GUNTHER (NXT) w/Imperium vs Tyler Bate (NXT UK)
(On the NXT after Heatwave, NXT Champion GUNTHER and NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate come face to face. Bate says that he stands here the flag bearer of NXT UK, the brand that WALTER left behind, and with NXT UK coming to a close ahead of the impending launch of NXT Europe, he wants to the title that he was the first holder of justice, he wants to give it a proper send off by successfully unifying it with the NXT Championship, and not only that, it's a redemption story for him, because 3 years ago on labor day weekend, he challenged WALTER for a World Championship, and in the fight of his life, he came up short, and here he stands 3 years later, once again challenging GUNTHER for a World Championship on Labor Day weekend, but this time, it's gonna be different, because at Worlds Collide, he is going to re-write that wrong and finally slay the beast that is WALTER so he can unify the NXT & NXT UK Championships. GUNTHER responds to Tyler, saying that 3 years ago, they put on a clash for the ages that has and will continue to be talked about for generations in this great sport, but he just doesn't have what it takes to surpass Der Ring General, and he wants to talk about doing the NXT UK Championship justice, the only way to do it justice is for its final holder to be the man who was the longest reigning NXT UK Champion, GUNTHER! And at Worlds Collide, he does exactly that, because the mat is sacred. The 2 put on a banger of a match just like they did back in Cardiff in 2019, where GUNTHER walks out victorious, getting the win with his trademark Lariat, and becoming the final NXT UK Champion.)

Damage CTRL (Blair Davenport, Dakota Kai, & Io Shirai) vs Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, & Toni Storm
(On the Smackdown after Summerslam, Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring with her right arm in a sling. The now babyface Becky cuts an I'm going away promo, saying that this is the last you've seen of Big Time Becks, because when she returns, The Man will be back, but before she goes, she asks Liv Morgan to come down to the ring. Smackdown Women's Champion Liv Morgan makes her way to the ring, and she embraces Becky, thanking Becky for making her who she is today. Becky then heads to the back, and Liv cuts a promo about all the history she's had with Becky for almost the past year, before it's cut off by Damage CTRL, with Blair Davenport saying to Liv "You know how you're a bad friend who gets all of your friends severely hurt, we're about to add another one to the list". Damage CTRL then reveal they have Becky Lynch backstage, and they do further damage to Becky's injured arm, before Blair Davenport gives Becky a Kamigoye, writing Becky off TV. Later on in the evening, Morgan has a match against Damage CTRL's Io Shirai, which ends in a DQ after interference by Damage CTRL, before Sarah Logan and Toni Storm run down to make the save, which sets up a 6-Woman Tag for CATC. On the go-home Smackdown before Clash at The Castle, Davenport confronts Toni Storm backstage, alone. Blair tells Toni that she's known her for almost 6 years now, she knows her better than anybody else, she knows what's best for Toni, and after the year that she has had wasted on Smackdown, she could have been doing so much more had she been alongside her side, so she tells Toni to reflect on how she's been without Blair, and what she can do alongside her. Towards the end of the match, Sarah Logan completes a hot tag to Toni Storm, who then turns around and superkicks Sarah, turning Heel, as Liv asks Toni what the hell is she doing, before Damage CTRL take out Liv on the outside. Storm then tags Logan back in, hits the Storm Zero on her, and allows Davenport to hit a Kamigoye on her for a Damage CTRL win. Toni Storm, has joined Damage CTRL, and Blair Davenport has added another Top Gaijin to her group.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship - Everyone is banned from ringside
Swerve Strickland (C) vs Sheamus
(Sheamus wins a Fatal 5-Way #1 Contenders Match over Sami Zayn, Dominik Dijakovic, Happy Corbin, and Madcap Moss to earn a shot at Swerve's Intercontinental Championship. Sheamus says it's been 7 long years since he held the Intercontinental Championship, but now, he has a chance to gain it back, so at Clash at The Castle, he enters the belly of the red dragon, where he will kick that Wiz Khalifa wannabe's head off to become a 2-time Intercontinental Champion. Swerve says that everyone wants to criticise him for cheating back at Summerslam, he didn't cheat, he did what he had to do to win by any means necessary, but he wants to show he can still play by the rules, so he wants it to be an even playing field, Sheamus' Peaky Blinders reject crew stays in the back for the match, and Hit Row stays in the back. The match see's Swerve throw everything he has at Sheamus, but Sheamus continues to kick out. The closing moments of the match see's Sheamus accidentally hit the ref with a Brogue Kick, which allows for Swerve to hit a low blow on Sheamus, completing Hit Row's heel turn, and causing a double turn with The Brawling Brutes. Swerve then hits a Swerve Stomp to retain. Sheamus receives a standing ovation from The Welsh crowd post match.)
Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the Raw Tag Team Championships
Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) (C) w/Drew Gulak vs Judgment Day w/Edge vs The New Day
(On the Raw after Summerslam, Judgement Day makes their way to the ring to address the events that transpired at Summerslam. Edge says that yes, he is still seething that AJ Styles managed to get one over on him at Summerslam, but he's willing to let that go, because Summerslam still proved to be a successful night for Judgement Day, as not only did they gain a new member, they got their first taste of gold when Rhea Ripley saw the light and chose to honor Judgement Day going forward, while also bringing over The Raw Women's Championship when she cashed it in on Bianca Belair, but now that Judgement Day has their first taste of gold, he's not done racking up championships, because the next order of business, The Raw Tag Team Championships, so consider this a warning to The Alpha Academy, you are living on borrowed time with those Raw Tag Team Titles, and that time. Alpha Academy then cut off Edge's promo with Chad Gable's trademark SHOOSH! Gable says who the hell do Judgement Day think they are? These Raw Tag Team Championships are forever the property of The Alpha Academy, because not only are The Goth Kids from South Park and Christian's Jannetty are inferior to the ring, but they don't even have the smarts to know how to unseat The Alpha Academy. The New Day then interrupt, saying that they aren't finished with The Poor Man's Team Angle, and on top of that, Edge needs to get his magic 8 ball checked, because they’re not scared of his Powers of Pain rejects, and if they've got to go through them to get another title shot, then that's fine with them, because The Power of Positivity always prevails in the end. This leads to a 3-way brawl breaking out between the 3 teams, leading to Raw GM Sonya Deville setting up a Triple Threat Tag Team Match for Clash at The Castle. Judgment Day scores the winning pin on Kofi Kingston after an Upsidedown World/South of Heaven hybrid from Gacy and Priest, bringing Tag Team Gold to Judgment Day. when suddenly, the lights go out, and the sounds of a heart monitor begin to play, then a guitar rift, and then, NO ONE WILL SURVIVE! TOMMASO CIAMPA IS HERE! (He keeps his first name and his theme). Ciampa, making his main roster debut, comes to a massive pop from the Welsh crowd as he walks down the ramp, and gets in the ring to confront The Briscoes, eyeing those Raw Tag Team Championships, when suddenly, Rebel Heart plays, JOHNNY GARGANO IS BACK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 9 MONTHS! Gargano makes his way down the ramp as the crowd in Principality Stadium loses their mind. Gargano gets in the ring, standing side by side with his #DIY tag partner Tommaso Ciampa stare off against Judgment Day, who hoist up their newly won Raw Tag Team Championships.)
No Holds Barred Match
Seth Rollins vs Ricochet
(After Rollins attacked Ricochet after their match at Summerslam, a rematch is scheduled a few weeks later on Smackdown, only for it to not end up taking place as Rollins attacks Ricochet before the bell. This leads to Ricochet attacking Rollins the following week after a match against Mansoor, and challenging The Visionary to a No Holds Barred Match at Clash at The Castle. Ricochet says that he's going to embarrass Seth at Clash at The Castle, just like Roman did at The Royal Rumble, just like Cody did for 3 straight PPVs, and just like he did back at Summerslam, and on top of that, there's only 1 man in Seth's marriage, and it sure as hell ain't him. Rollins responds to those comments by Ricochet, saying that if he wants to talk about his family, let's talk about Ricochet's family, oh wait, he can't get one because everytime he get's a girlfriend, they break up with him because they don't wanna live with his b*tcha$$ anymore. Ricochet responds to this by saying he's no longer just going to beat Seth at Clash at The Castle, he's going to f*ck Seth up at Clash at The Castle. The closing moments of the match see's Ricochet set Rollins up on a table and attempt to hit a 630 off a ladder onto Seth, only for Seth to move out of the way. Seth then hits The Curb Stomp for the win.)
The Hurt Business (MVP, Carmelo Hayes, & Trick Williams) w/Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander vs Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits
(On the Raw after Summerslam, the new look Hurt Business make their way to the ring to address the events that unfolded at Summerslam. MVP says that when he came back, Bobby Lashley was floundering, he was left in limbo after cut ties with that sawed-off runt, Bobby Lashley couldn't even sniff a championship by himself until he resurrected The Almighty, it was MVP who helped Bobby regain his star power to achieve all the further greatness that Bobby gained, HE MADE THE ALMIGHTY! Before he came back, Bobby was "hitting them with the pose", the only reason Bobby saw another US title reign, a tag title reign, and a WWE title reign was because of MVP. MVP then lets Trick & Melo cut a promo, with Melo saying that he said exactly what he was gonna do, he mopped the floor with Bobby Lashley, and in case for whatever reason if he started getting the better of The Leader of The New School, he always as some reinsurance, and that reinsurance was The Hurt Business, and thanks to MVP seeing greatness, he once again proved why Melo don't miss, and the next time he ends up in the same ring with The Fall Mighty, he's gonna put him on a T-Shirt, and it ain't gonna be designer. Bobby Lashley then comes down to start a brawl with The Hurt Business, but he's outnumbered, until The Street Profits run down and make the save, with a 6-man tag match being set up for Clash at the Castle, Lashley & The Street Profits vs The Hurt Business. MVP picks himself, and the 2 new members of The Hurt Business, Trick & Melo, to face off against Lashley & The Street Profits, which doesn't sit well with Shelton & Cedric that they weren't chosen for the tag match. Lashley says that MVP only came back to WWE for his retirement run, MVP saw him and did what he did best, latched on to his latest meal ticket, but at Clash at the Castle, MVP gets sent to the retirement home. Thanks to interference from Shelton & Cedric, THB gets the upper hand, allowing Melo to hit Nothin' But Net, before tagging in MVP and letting him get the honors of pinning The Almighty, scoring the win for The Hurt Business.)
WWE United States Championship
Finn Balor (C) vs Austin Theory
(On the Raw after Summerslam, Austin Theory walks out on The Miz in a tag match against The Street Profits, however, this doesn't turn Theory face, as he trashes the crowd the next week on Raw, where he also defeat Matt Riddle and Keith Lee in a Triple Threat Match to become the #1 contender to the United States Championship. Theory says that The Miz had him touted to be the next big thing on his first day on the main roster when he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, everyone was declaring him the future, the next face of WWE, however, Miz was just trying to make him into the next Miz with all of his selfie-taking, so he's abandoned all that, because he is The Now, and he's not going to wait for future opportunities, he's going to make them now, and that starts by becoming United States Champion at Clash at the Castle. Balor says Theory is so eager to prove that he can hang with the big boys, he took off the training wheels, but he's gonna wish he didn't, because The Prince will. send him back to the nothingness he came from. Finn misses a Coup De Grace, allowing Theory to hit the A-Town Down to become the new United States Champion. After the match, the camera cuts to a shot of Edge watching on from backstage, who looks disappointed that Balor lost the US title.)
Triple Threat Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) w/Edge vs Bianca Belair vs Alexa Bliss
(During Judgement Day's promo on the Raw after Summerslam, Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley is given some time during the promo to address why she joined Judgement Day. Rhea says that everybody thinks that she's weak, out of the 3 successors of The 4 Horsewomen, everybody views her as the weakest, she doesn't get to be in Wrestlemania Main Events, she doesn't get to win Royal Rumbles, she doesn't get to hang out with C-list rappers and awards at award shows that are worth as much as toilet paper, she doesn't get to throw the first pitch as baseball games, she didn't even have a match scheduled for Summerslam, and not only that, this year at Wrestlemania, she was reduced to having to be in the Women's Tag Division, do you know how shameful that is? But then, she's been seeing what Edge has been doing with Backlash, creating Judgement Day, and taking someone who was middle of the pack in NXT in Joe Gacy and someone who becomes just another guy after losing the US title to Keith Lee in Damian Priest and making them into stars, if Edge could do that for them, then he could do the same for her, so she met with Edge who could see how frustrated she was, and offered direction with a spot in Judgement Day, and boy did she accept that offer in a heartbeat. Edge gave her the strength & confidence necessary to win the Money in the Bank ladder match, and they constructed a master plan to reveal to the world that she had seen the light, and boy did it work to perfection, because now, she has direction, now she's rejuvenated, now, she's the Raw Women's Champion. The following week, Bianca Belair cuts a promo, saying that she thought she and Rhea were good friends, Rhea was always someone who would have her back, but it appears that she's had nothing but jealousy that's been building ever since she got to the main roster because Rhea was the last one she eliminated to win the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble match, Rhea didn't get to win a Women's Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania, she didn't get to win the battle royal at Wrestlemania, it's just one thing after another and she finally lashed out, but at Clash at the Castle, she gets to repay Rhea Ripley with a beating, because she's invoking her rematch clause, and she's going to become a 2-time Raw Women's Champion. Alexa Bliss interrupts Bianca's promo, saying that she understands that Bianca's mad at Rhea Ripley, but she's not the only one who lost that Raw Women's Championship at Summerslam, she wants that title back just as bad as Bianca does, because she's invoking her rematch clause at Clash at the Castle, it's going to be a triple threat for the Raw Women's Title. Rhea Ripley says that of course both Bianca & Alexa are coming crying to her with their rematch clauses, they can't stand that someone giftedly superior to both of them walked out as the Raw Women's Champion, and at Clash at The Castle, they meet their maker. Rhea gets the win after hitting Alexa with The Riptide, retaining her Raw Women's Championships, and ensuring Judgement Day walks out with all the gold.)
Samoa Joe & Rey Mysterio w/Dominik Mysterio vs Los Lotharios w/Zelina Vega
(On the Raw after Summerslam, The Mysterios have a Raw Tag Team Title Match against Alpha Academy, which they come up short in thanks to interference by Los Lotharios. After the match, Los Lotharios assault The Mysterios, with Zelina Vega even attacking Dominik, until Samoa Joe runs down to make the save, fighting off Los Lotharios, but accidentally clotheslining Dominik Mysterio in the process. The following week, Joe apologises to Dom for clotheslining him, it was an accident, he didn't mean to do it. Dom isn't very forgiving of this, and shoves Joe, until Rey has to separate the 2, with Rey telling Dom that Joe didn't mean to do it, with Dom responding by telling his Father that he's really going to take this fata$$'s side over his own Son. Dom then doesn't corner Rey for his match against Angel Garza later on in the evening. Los Lotharios then attack Rey 2-on-1 after the match, until Samoa Joe makes the save. The following week, Joe has a match against Humberto Carillo, which he's victorious in, only for Los Lotharios to repeat the favor and attack Joe like they did the previous week to Rey, only Rey to make the save, but once again, Dom doesn't run down. This leads to Joe and Rey challenging Los Lotharios to a tag team match at Clash at The Castle. Zelina accepts on her clients behalf, saying that she finds it baffling that these 2 old timers are trying to inflict fear into Angel & Humberto, they can't even get on the same page with Rey's son, and if they can't even do that, they're in for a rough night at Clash at The Castle. Before the match, Rey manages to convince Dominik to be in his and Joe's corner for the match. After the match, Dominik Mysterio shockingly low blows Samoa Joe, and then even more shockingly, attacks his own father, turning heel. Dominik then leaves with Zelina and Los Lotharios, signaling he's now aligned with them.)
WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs AJ Styles
(Shortly after Summerslam, AJ Styles wins a #1 contender battle royal to earn his shot at Karion Kross' WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle. In the leadup, Kross says that in the midst of the chaos he has caused on Raw over the past 9 months, ruling the brand like the Shao Kahn-like emporer that he is, an opportunity has struck itself, an opportunity for one AJ Styles, who stepped on up to the plate at the right time to secure himself an opportunity to become a 4-time WWE Champion, but let's face the facts, we all know how this turns out, AJ is just the latest victim, look at all the men who have Fallen and Prayed, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, even Brock Lesnar, and let's not forget all the corpses he walked over in NXT, one of those corpses being NXT itself because it took the literal death of The Black & Gold era of NXT to get the title of him, that is how powerful he is, so what hope in hell does AJ have because at Clash at the Castle, he just becomes another broken toy disregarded in The Karrion Kross timeline, because in the end, everybody pays the toll, Tick Tock. Styles says that he knows he's being underestimated by Kross, but he knows when to get the job done when it counts, that's how he became a 3-time WWE Champion, that's how he became a 2-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, that's how he's become World Champion in many promotions across the world, and in one of those promotions where he was the champion, Kross worked for that same promotion many years later, but he couldn't even sniff the world title, he was reduced to being the errand boy for a guy much smaller than him who walked out on the company after ruining the main event of the biggest show of the year, so at Clash at The Castle, he's gonna Phenomenal Forearm Kross so hard he's gonna revert back into that same guy, and that's what is gonna lead him to become a 4-time WWE Champion. The closing moments of the match see's AJ go for the Phenomenal Forearm, only for Kross to duck, then hit AJ from behind with The Kross Hammer. Kross then hits another Kross Hammer for the win.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (C) vs Drew McIntyre
(The Tribal Chief vs The Scottish Terminator. In the leadup, Roman says that if anyone ever comes out here and says they're the face of this company and it's not him, they're lying, if anybody ever comes out here and says they're the main event and it's not him, they're lying, and if anybody, more specifically Drew McIntyre, says that they carry this company on their back, they're lying. There's only one face of this company, there's only one main event, not a main eventer, the main event, there's only been one guy who carries this company on this back, and his name is The Tribal Chief, The Head of The Table, Roman Reigns. Drew reflects on his journey to this point in the leadup, saying that getting here was almost unobtainable, nobody had ever been signed to WWE from Scottland, he said he was gonna be the first Scott to ever be signed to WWE, he believed it that much, and he did exactly that. He worked his way up through the UK indies, he worked his way up through FCW, and he made it to the main roster, and he quickly clawed his way to the top, picked up the IC title along the way, lost it, but that never was the end goal, it was to capture Big Goldie, become The World Heavyweight Champion, so he entered the 2010 Money in the Bank Ladder Match, and he won it, he became Mr. Money in the Bank, and 2 months later, he cashed in on Kane at Night of Champions 2010 to do what he had set out to accomplish when he was just a little kid, he had become The World Heavyweight Champion, but during that reign as World Heavyweight Champion, he had let all the fame success get to his head, he'd become complacent, so when he lost The World Heavyweight Championship to Edge at The 2011 Royal Rumble, it was the beginning of the end for him. Instead of putting his head down and working harder to get that World Heavyweight Championship back, he was angry, and around that same time, everything was falling apart for him, and his Mom got sick, and when she passed away, there was no saving him professionally, certainly not personally, he had to resort to playing air guitar and looking up at the lights weekly, that's how bad it got for him, and then, that fateful day in June of 2014 came when he was wished the best of luck in his future endeavors, and it was the best thing that ever happened to him. In the 3 years he spent outside the WWE, he built himself back up into the leader you see today, because his life has been filled with twists and turns, but the destination has always been the same, to be the face of this industry that he loves, and now that journey, brings him to Roman Reigns. Roman's incredible, simple as that, but he's an absolute monster, he knows about that the past 4 times they've faced off. Roman is on a run in the modern era that we have not seen and more than likely will never see again, but he's gonna be the one to take him down, he gets to take Roman down in the main event of the first UK Stadium show in 3 decades, he gets to do it in front of 70,000 screaming Britts, in front of the whole world, his destiny, will finally be fulfilled, when he becomes a 2-time World Heavyweight Champion. in the leadup, L.A. Knight debuts on the main roster, attacking Drew McIntyre on the Smackdown after Summerslam, and staring off with The Tribal Chief. On the go-home Smackdown before Clash at the Castle, The Bloodline celebrates the 2 year Anniversary of Roman Reigns being World Heavyweight Champion, when Drew McIntyre attacks the entire Bloodline, taking out Heyman, Sami Zayn and The Usos. After nearly 30-minutes, after kicking out of The Superman Punch, the spear, after escaping The Guillotine, Drew McIntyre hits 1 definitive Claymore on Roman, covers him... only for LA Knight (who was on commentary to further his feud with Drew) to pull the ref out of the ring and hit the ref with a BFT. Drew then chases LA Knight, only to run into a Superkick from an unknown man. The man takes off his hood to reveal his identity... IT'S SOLO SIKOA! NXT's Street Champion then throws Drew and the ref back into the ring, Roman spears Drew, the ref counts 1-2-3, The Tribal Chief's reign continues.)

Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Note
(in the leadup to Extreme Rules, the song 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane is regularly played during dark segments at Raw and Smackdown shows, and live events, with QR Codes also regularly popping up during the show, with the QR codes regularly leading to videos that lead to a lot of references to a certain Eater of Worlds.)

Pre Show
Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven (C) vs Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & Io Shirai) w/Toni Storm vs Sarah Logan & Shotzi Blackheart
(With Liv Morgan and Blair Davenport waging war with each other over The Smackdown Women's Championship, Damage CTRL goes after Liv's #1 ally Sarah Logan, who recruits Shotzi Blackheart to have her back against Kai, Shirai, and Storm. WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Gigi Dolin and Piper Niven get involved when they interrupt a confrontation between the 2 teams, as they're hungry for new challengers, leading to a Triple Threat Tag Team Match being set up between the 2. Damage CTRL scores the win after a GTK/Moonsault combo by Kai & Shirai on Blackheart, becoming the new Women's Tag Team Champions, ending Gigi and Piper's 188-day reign.)
Main Card
6-Man Tag Team Belfast Brawl
Hit Row w/B-Fab vs The Brawling Brutes
(After Swerve took the easy way out in his IC title defense against Sheamus at CATC with a low blow, it furthers the fuel of the feud between Hit Row and The Brawling Brutes. Swerve explains his actions, saying that nothing is wrong with winning by any means necessary, he's willing to do whatever it takes to win, something Sheamus isn't willing to do Sheamus says that he put the fear of god into Swerve, because he was this close to becoming a 2-time Intercontinental Champion, but Swerve had to take the cowards way out, but now, he's started a war. Adam Pearce eventually makes a Belfast Brawl between the 2 teams. Sheamus scores the win for his team with a Brogue Kick on Ashante "Thee" Adonis.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
Judgment Day (C) w/Edge vs #DIY
Note
(Tommaso Ciampa doesn't suffer his hip injury, yet)
(After their groundbreaking debut at Clash at The Castle, #DIY defeat The Alpha Academy in their debut match on Raw to become the #1 contenders to Judgment Day's Raw Tag Team Championships. Gargano and Ciampa say that everybody knows the history between them, how they started in NXT together, the bitter betrayals that they've had, the reunions, but one thing they've always wanted to prove is that they are the best tag team in not just NXT, but the whole WWE, which is why they showed up at Clash at The Castle to confront Judgment Day, because to be the best, they have to beat the best, and they want to win those Raw Tag Team Championships. Edge says that Gargano and Ciampa finally decided to grow a pair and come to the big leagues, and they're gonna learn real fast that this isn't NXT, and they're a pair of minnos in a giant ocean. At the same time, Edge is continuing his storyline with Finn Balor, coming out to ringside during Balor's matches, appearing disappointed whenever he loses, and even helping Balor win a match over EC3 on an occasion, with Edge telling Balor in a backstage segment "You've gone soft since you lost the US title you need direction, you need Judgment Day". In the closing moments of the match, Finn Balor comet out after a ref bump with a chair and tosses the chair into the ring, with it being unclear who he is giving the chair to. Joe Gacy and Tommaso Ciampa then have a tug of war over the chair, with Ciampa winning that tug of war, and hitting Gacy with the chair. Ciampa then tags Gargano in, they hit the supperkick/running knee combo for the win to become the new Raw Tag Team Champions.)
Strap Match
Drew McIntyre vs LA Knight
(After he was screwed out of the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at The Castle thanks to a combination of LA Knight and Solo Sikoa, Drew McIntyre makes a b line to the ring on the Smackdown after CATC that forced The Bloodline into retreat. This leads to a match between Drew and Solo Sikoa in the main event, which ends in a DQ thanks to LA Knight, who attacks The Scottish Terminator, and assaults him with a leather strap. The following week, Drew addresses LA Knight's attacks on him, saying that it's clear LA Knight has a problem with him, LA Knight wants to play games with him, LA Knight robbed him of his crowning moment in the UK, and he expects no repercussions for it, and since LA Knight wants to inflict pain him with a leather strap, why don't they have a match at Extreme Rules, with that same leather strap, because he wants LA Knight in a Strap Match where LA Knight will be tethered to him and will have nowhere to run. LA Knight accepts, saying that just like Drew's fellow countryman William Wallace at the end of Braveheart, Drew is gonna get beheaded at Extreme Rules, and that is not an insult, that, is just a fact of life, YEAH!. At the end of the match, Drew almost runs into the referee, which causes them to flinch, and allows LA Knight to hit a quick low blow on Drew, followed up with the BFT to score the upset win.)
No Holds Barred Match
Samoa Joe vs Dominik Mysterio w/Zelina Vega & Los lotharios
(Following Dominik's betrayal of his father at CATC, Samoa Joe goes on a rant on the Raw after CATC, saying that Dominik Mysterio is a dead man walking. Rey Mysterio interrupts Joe, saying he knows his son messed up big, and he's asking for an apology on his behalf, because Dominik is still his son. Joe responds, telling Rey that his son is old enough to drink, drive, and step foot in this ring, and he's old enough to stand for his actions. Later that night, Rey has match against Humberto Carillo, and loses after Dominik Mysterio interferes, making his allegiance with Zelina official, and officially forming La Faccion De Zelina. The following week, Samoa Joe has a match against Angel Garza that match that ends a DQ thanks to Dominik Mysterio. After the match, Samoa Joe challenges Dominik to a match at Extreme Rules, this time, with it being No Holds Barred. Dominik accepts, saying that he's only ever been known as the son of the legendary Rey Mysterio, but that all changed at Clash at The Castle, because for the first time in his life, he felt alive, he became his own person, he was done taking the disrespect, and just bottling it up inside, and Samoa Joe, he got exactly what he deserved, and tonight, he's gonna finish what he started, and as for his Dad, he knows he's disappointed, but that's too bad, because this is his life, not Rey's, instead of being upset with him, Rey should look in the mirror and ask himself "why?", why he never bothered to get to know him, why, instead of trying to teach him, Rey didn't just ask what he wanted for his career, but you know, for such a tiny man, Rey casts a large shadow, and he's done living under it, and he shows that when he runs through another washed up legend in Samoa Joe. Rey Mysterio runs down to try to help Joe, taking out Humberto Carillo and Angel Garza, but he just can't bring himself to attack his son, who attacks him. Dominik ultimately scores the win with 2 619'. After the match, LFDZ traps Joe's head in between a chair, with Dominik repeatedly stomping and stomping on it over and over again, until Dom hits a Chair assisted 619 on Joe. This writes Joe off TV for a bit.)
Viking Rules Match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Usos (C) w/Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa vs The Viking Raiders
(The Viking Raiders, now sporting a much more intimidating Viking look, earn another shot at the Smackdown Tag Team Championships after defeating Hit Row, The Brawling Brutes, and Maximum Male Models to become the #1 contenders to the Smackdown Tag Team Champinoships. Erik & Ivar say that 9 months ago, they came up short against The Usos, they failed on their conquest to become 3-time Smackdown Tag Team Championships, but now, they've been granted a second chance, and this time, when they raid and pillage The Island of Relevancy, they will leave no survivors, and they will leave as your 3-time Smackdown Tag Team Champions, and not only that, they want it... in a Viking Rules Match! The Usos say that The War Raiders seem to think that dressing like 2 extras from Assassin's Creed Valhalla will make them into a threat again, and they can have their Viking Rules, because it doesn't matter to them, because at the end of the day, they the twos, and we the ones. Erik & Ivar manage to fight off Sami and Solo Sikoa, but at the end of the match, 3 men in suits wearing lucha masks to disguise themselves attack The War Raiders, with 2 of them hitting Rowe with a Superplex off the Longboat ring accessory that's used for the match. The Usos then hit Ivar with a 1D for the win to keep their record setting reign alive.)
5-on-5 Tag Team Street Fight
The Hurt Business (MVP, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, Shelton Benjamin, & Cedric Alexander) vs Team Lashley (Bobby Lashley, Keith Lee, Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford, & Braun Strowman)
(Following his victory over Lashley and The Street Profits at Clash at The Castle, MVP hosts a special edition of The VIP lounge to celebrate The Hurt Business' triumph. Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin are present, and congratulate MVP, Trick, and Melo on their victory, saying we did it, before MVP asks, who's we? Showing the further rift between MVP, Cedric, and Shelton. Bobby Lashley then runs down and forces The Hurt Business into retreat, trashing The VIP lounge. Lashley lays down a match for Extreme Rules between MVP and himself, but MVP says Lashley can only have the match, if he can beat all 4 Hurt Business members in a gauntlet match the following week on Raw. The next week on Raw, Lashley runs the gauntlet, defeating Cedric, Shelton (both of whom are also slowly turning face), Trick, and Melo to secure a match against MVP with the stipulation of his choosing. Lashley says he wants to exact revenge on all of The Hurt Business, so he picks a 5-on-5 Tag Team Street Fight. Lashley recruits The Street Profits and Keith Lee, but he still needs 1 more man, so, on the go-home Raw before Extreme Rules, he reveals who the 5th member of his team will be, and it's revealed to be none other than the returning Braun Strowman, back for revenge against The Hurt Business. In the leadup to the match, MVP releases the diss track 'Fall Mighty' on Bobby Lashley, running down the history between the 2 men, which MVP uses for The Hurt Business' entrance music for the match. Towards the end of the match, Shelton & Cedric complete their face turn and attack MVP, which allows Lee to hit a Spirit Bomb on MVP, Strowman to hit a Running Power Slam on MVP, and Montez Ford to hit a Frog Splash on MVP. Lashley then Spears MVP, before locking in The Hurt Lock to finally exact revenge against MVP. Montez Ford suffers an ankle injury in this match that sidelines him until after Survivor Series.)
Fatal 5-Way Ladder Match for the Raw Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) w/Edge vs Bianca Belair vs Alexa Bliss vs Asuka vs Bayley
(Following Rhea Ripley's successful title defense at Clash at The Castle, she's still dealing with her enemies in Bianca Belair and Alexa Bliss, both of whom want that Raw Women's Championship back, but not only that, she ends up also having to deal with Asuka and Bayley due to an ongoing minifeud between the 2. Bianca wants to avenge her Summerslam humiliation, Alexa wants to become a 3-time Raw Women's Champion, Asuka wants to reclaim the Raw Women's Championship after the months she spent on the sidelines, Bayley wants to kick off her run on Raw with a bang, whilst Rhea Ripley wants to keep the Raw Women's Championship in Judgment Day.)
I Quit Match
Seth Rollins vs Ricochet
(After Rollins' victory over Ricochet at CATC, Ricochet wants one more match against Seth Rollins. Rollins declines, saying that after that emphatic win over Ricochet, this rivalry between them is over. Ricochet disagrees, and costs Rollins in a match against Sheamus, which leads to the 2 brawling to the back, and Rollins saying that if Ricochet wants a rematch, he's got it, he just needs to name the time and place. Ricochet says that it's gonna happen at Extreme Rules, and it's gonna be an I Quit Match. Rollins says that it doesn't matter what type of match it is, he's been in every single type of match that you can imagine, and he's won them all, and as good as Ricochet may be, he's got one thing that Ricochet will never have, and that's what is in his head, because he can come up with as many ways to make Ricochet sequel as he wants to, because at Extreme Rules, he proves why he is the King of the I Quit Match. Ricochet says that just like how Seth Rollins is the second best wrestler in his household, he will be the second best wrestler in this match, because he is going to be the one who gives up and quits. The match ends Ricochet takes off one of the top turnbuckles, lays out Seth on a table, traps him on the table by wrapping the ring rope around him, and climbing up to a Ladder to do a 630 off of it onto Seth, but before Ricochet can do it, Seth says "I Quit", which allows Ricochet to win the match. Ricochet then hits a 630 off a ladder onto Seth through the table anyway.)
Steel Cage Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship
Liv Morgan (C) vs Blair Davenport
(After Damage CTRL was victorious at Clash at The Castle, Blair Davenport is granted a Smackdown Women's Championship match by Adam Pearce at Extreme Rules against Liv Morgan. Morgan says that all throughout 2021, Davenport tried to end her career, but she couldn't get the job done, but now, she has a group of foreigners to try to correct that, but it's not gonna happen, because they aren't going to be able to assist Blair, because she wants her... in a Steel Cage Match! Davenport accepts The Steel Cage Match stipulation, saying that 1 year ago, at this very event, Liv managed to barely escape victory against her in a Tag Team Steel Cage Match, but now, she doesn't have any dead weight holding her back from putting Liv in her place, and now, at Extreme Rules, she's going to put Liv in her place and burn everything she's built up down until the ashes fill the skies. Despite Damage CTRL interference, Liv Morgan manages to overcome it, and it leads to a race to the floor, with Blair ahead thanks to the Damage CTRL interference, as she climbs down on her way to become the new Smackdown Women's Champion, only for Liv Morgan to jump off the top of the cage outside to get to the floor, landing just a mere second before Blair's feet hit the floor, barely retaining the Smackdown Women's Championship. After the match, Damage CTRL does a post match beatdown on Liv Morgan until Sarah Logan & Shotzi Blackheart run down to make the save, but they are still outnumbered. Damage CTRL continues the beatdown, until the sounds of a creaking door are heard, followed by a xylophone, then a guitar, then "Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay", Candice Lerae is here! The Poisonous Pixie runs down and helps evens the odds, forcing Damage CTRL into retreat. The battle lines have been drawn.)
Extreme Rules Match for the WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Matt Riddle (By Technical Submission)
(Matt Riddle wins a Gauntlet Match over Keith Lee, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles, and The Miz to secure himself a WWE Championship match against Karrion Kross at Extreme Rules. Following his gauntlet match victory, WWE Champion Karrion Kross attacks Matt Riddle from behind, hitting him with The Kross Hammer, and repeatedly attacking Riddle with a Steel Chair. The following week, Matt Riddle launches a surprise attack on Kross with a Kendo Stick. This leads to Raw GM Sonya Deville making the match an Extreme Rules Match. Kross says that Riddle is the type of guy to be the life of the party, always energetic, which serves as a distraction for him, a distraction for the facts that he's a failure as a husband since his wife left him, a failure as a father since his kids don't want to see him, and from the fact that he will never be world champion material, and at Extreme Rules, he has nowhere to run, because he will be in the ring with Doomsday himself, Tick Tock. Riddle says initially, this was just about the WWE Championship for him, but Karrion Kross made this personal when he brought his family into this, so at Extreme Rules, he's gonna strangle Kross unconscious and walk out the new WWE Champion. Kross wins the barbaric war after making Riddle pass out to The Kross Jacket.)
Note
(As the show is about to go off the air, the lights go out, and the crowd begins to hear a man say "He's got the whole world, in his hands, he's got the whole wide world, in his hands" on loop. As fireflies start to appear throughout the crowd, familiar puppets from the firefly funhouse, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby The Witch, Rambling Rabbit, Huskus The Pig Boy, and even The Fiend, as well as a decapitated head on the announce table, before on the titantron, appears the old firefly funhouse, destroyed, as a slowed and revered version of The Firefly Funhouse theme plays, before a door appears on the entrance ramp. It opens, and BRAY WYATT IS BACK!)

Apollo Crews vs Grayson Waller
(After Waller's controversial win over him at Heatwave, Crews spends a few weeks on the sidelines recovering from the eye injury cause in the match, but returns in late September to cost Grayson Waller in a North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier against Cameron Grimes, leading to the Crews challenging Waller to a rematch at Halloween Havoc, but this time, in a Trick or Street Fight, where anything goes. Waller accepts, saying that not only was Apollo Crews a failure on the main roster, but he's a failure to his kids, and he'll prove that at Halloween Havoc. Crews says that Waller's cheap tactics nearly cost him his vision, so he's gonna make Waller pay for it with his career. Apollo wins with a One Handed Spinebuster off the second rope through a table.)
Ambulance Match - if Julius Creed loses, Brutus Creed must leave NXT
Julius Creed vs Damon Kemp
(On the NXT after Worlds Collide, Damon Kemp reveals the reasons behind his actions at Worlds Collide. Damon says that the look on The Creed Brothers' face when he cost them the tag team championships, and it's the same look they had on their face when they were trying to figure out if Roddy had been paid off to screw them over, when Roddy didn't take any money, he did. It was all set up back at In Your House for Grizzled Young Veterans to become NXT Tag Team Champions, but they couldn't get the job done, and it was only a matter of time before Julius and Roddy were going to clash, but then Roddy pulled the security footage to help clear his name, so he destroyed Roddy's phone, then he destroyed Roddy. The following week, Damon Kemp has a match against Brutus Creed, which ends in a DQ after Kemp attacks Brutus with a chair. The following week, Julius Creed challenges Damon Kemp to an Ambulance Match at Halloween Havoc, saying that Damon is nothing more than a clout chaser who deserves to be in a hospital bed after what he did to Roddy. Damon accepts, only on the condition that if Julius loses, his brother Brutus has to leave WWE. Julius manages to get the job done, shutting the doors on Damon Kemp to walk out victorious.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the NXT Women's Championship
Gigi Dolin (C) w/Piper Niven vs Roxanne Perez vs Cora Jade vs Kay Lee Ray
(After becoming a triple champion at World's Collide, Gigi Dolin resumes her feud with Kay Lee Ray, who has unfinished business with The Toxic Attraction of NXT, who earns another shot against Gigi after defeating Gigi's bodyguard Piper Niven in a #1 contenders match. KLR says that Gigi can't hide behind Piper forever, she's living on borrowed time with that title, and the clock is ticking. Gigi says she exposed Kay Lee Ray for the fraud that she is, and not only that, she did what Kay Lee couldn't, she beat the supposed great Meiko Satomura, which shows why there's Gigi Dolin, and then there's everybody else. Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade's bloodfeud spills over into this match after Perez beats Piper Niven after a distraction from Kay Lee Ray. Roxanne that she never had a fair shot at the NXT Women's Championship thanks to that snake Cora Jade, and Gigi knows damn well that she wouldn't have that championship if it weren't for Cora. Cora says that she is still yet to receive a 1-on-1 shot at the NXT Women's Championship, and after she humiliated Roxanne back at Heatwave, only one person should be the next one up for a title shot against the orange-haired troll doll. Gigi retains after a Gigi Driver on KLR thanks to interference from the former NXT UK Women's Champion Isla Dawn, who makes her NXT debut in the process.)
Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) vs Jordan Devlin vs Ilja Dragunov
(Jordan Devlin defeats Tyler Bate in a #1 contenders match (a match Tyler suffer a kayfabe injury in that writes him off TV for a few months) to earn another shot at WALTER's NXT Championship. After Devlin's victory over Bate, GUNTHERand Devlin have a stare down, which is interrupted by the NXT debut of Ilja Dragunov, who returns from his injury. Dragunov says that he needs to reclaim what he had to surrender, but thanks to GUNTHER, the NXT UK Championship is now more, so he's going to do what he has done twice before, topple Der Ring General, and this time, become NXT Champion. Devlins says that Ilja's now been put back together with a bunch of bubble wrap, but that doesn't mean he's stronger, that goes to show he has a fragile body made up of glass, and as for GUNTHER, he got lucky the first time around, but he will have no such luck this time, because you never bet against an Ace. GUNTHER says that Ilja has been a thorn in his side for the past 2 years, but at Halloween Havoc, along with Jordan Devlin, he will simply be an ant who gets stomped on the sacred mat. GUNTHER scores the win after countering Ilja's Torpedo Moscow with his trademark lariat followed up with the debuting Last Symphony.)

(After Candice returns at Extreme Rules, she joins Liv Morgan's insurgency against Damage CTRL. Candice. Candice says she returned because she couldn't sit back and watch Damage CTRL run rough shod over this division, but it's good to know some things haven't changed since she's come back, Io, still untrustworthy, Dakota, still a snake in the grass, Toni, still spiteful, and Blair, still not Smackdown Women's Champion. Damage CTRL say that Candice, made a huge mistake choosing to side with Liv Morgan, because just like everyone who has ever been friend with Liv, she'll end up back on the sidelines. Damage CTRL scores the win after Io hits a Moonsault on Shotzi.)
Legado Del Fantasma w/Santos Escobar & Elektra Lopez vs The Viking Raiders
(On the smackdown after Extreme Rules, The Viking Raiders are victorious in action against Maximum Male Models. Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Eleketra Lopez have arrived on the blue brand. This all leads to a match here. Santos Escobar says that Lucha Libre Royalty has arrived to Smackdown, and they are going to take out every tag team one by one, and it starts with the medieval morons The Viking Raiders. Erik & Ivar say that they aren't going to sit around and let some cartel thugs invade their brand, they're gonna show Legado why they're out of their league.)

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swerve Strickland (C) w/Hit Row vs Rey Mysterio
(On the Smackdown after Extreme Rules, Rey Mysteroi makes a surprise appearance on the blue brand to confront both Smackdown GM Adam Pearce and Triple H backstage, telling them he's reached his breaking point with everything that's happened with Dominik, he can't see a way moving forward, he won't fight his Son, not even when he's at his worst, yelling at his face, telling him to fight him, he still see's that little boy who used to sit on his lap and fall asleep on his shoulders, he can't do this anymore, so he wants to quit WWE. Triple H & Adam Pearce emplure Rey to think it over, telling him they can't imagine what he's going through, but there's got to be another way. All 3 men then go into Triple H's office to talk some more. Later that night, it's revealed that Rey Mysterio has been traded to Smackdown in exchange for Baron Corbin (who is also now under the guidance of JBL under the new nickname "The Modern Day Wrestling God"), and is added to an IC title #1 contenders match between Sheamus, Ricochet, and Solo Sikoa as a replacement for LA Knight, who was attacked by Drew McIntyre in the parking lot. Rey wins to earn at Swerve Strickland's IC title. Rey says that he's happy to be back on Smackdown, he's been synonomus with the brand for years, and he can't wait to be one of the faces of the brand again as a 3-time Intercontinental Champion. Swerve says that Rey may be a legend, but he's a coward, he ran away from his issues with Dom, and now he wants to try to take the the IC title away from him, that isn't gonna happen on his watch. Swerve wins the high flying encounter after countering a 619 attempt with The House Call followed up with a JML Driver, before hitting The Swerve Stomp.)
The Hurt Business (Carmelo Hayes & Omos) w/MVP & Trick Williams vs Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander
(On the Raw after Extreme Rules, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander cut an in-ring promo explaining why they abandoned The Hurt Business. They say that they thought The Hurt Business was one big happy family, but things started to change when MVP brought Trick & Melo in, and when he started favouring Trick & Melo over themselves, the writing was on the wall, so they had to leave before MVP could replace them. The Hurt Business then interrupts, with Melo saying that Extreme Rules was a disaster because thanks to these 2 snakes, everybody is praying on The Hurt Business' downfall, because Extreme Rules was a travesty, the timekeeper should be fired, the referee should be fired, and most importantly, Shelton & Cedric should be fired. MVP then gets some words in, saying that just likely with the ungrateful Bobby Lashley, he revived Benjamin's career, he made Alexander's career, they are nothing without him, and they'll be back in catering in no time. This then leads to a matchup between Trick & Melo and Shelton & Cedric being set up for Payback. Before the match begins, Trick Williams comes out wearing a medical boot, claiming to have rolled his ankle earlier in the day (this is a kayfabe injury), so he's unable to compete, but The Hurt Business has found a suitable replacement, and he just so happens to be the newest member of The Hurt Business, and that man happens to be none other than... The Nigerian Giant Omos! The closing moments of the match see's Melo hit Nothing But Net on Alexander, before tagging in Omos, with The Nigerian Giant scoring the win for THB with a 2-handed Chokeslam on Alexander.)
Raw Tag Team Championships
#DIY (C) vs Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Joe Gacy) w/Edge & Rhea Ripley
(Gacy and Priest invoke their rematch clause after losing the Raw Tag Titles to #DIY at Extreme Rules. Edge (who is still trying to recruit Finn Balor to Judgment Day) says that #DIY got lucky at Extreme Rules, had Balor come to his senses and threw that chair in the right direction, those Raw Tag Team Championships would still belong to Judgment Day, and at Payback, they live up to the namesake of the PPV and take back what is rightfully there's. Gargano & Ciampa say that chair or no chair, they've proven they can defeat Judgment Day, they do it again. Once again, a ref bump occurs in the match, and once again, Finn Balor comes down with a chair, but this time, he gets in the ring, and he faces Damian Priest with the chair, waiting for Priest to get to his feet, only to turn around and shockingly hit Johnny Gargano with the chair, turning heel and joining Judgment Day. Priest then hits a South of Heaven on Gargano for the win, becoming 2-time Raw Tag Team Champions. After the match, Finn Balor hits a Coup De Grace on Ciampa's ribs with a chair placed on top of them. This writes Ciampa off TV so he can heal from his hip injury.)
WWE United States Championship
Austin Theory (C) vs Bobby Lashley
(After ending his conflict with his old allies The Hurt Business, Lashley cuts a promo on the Raw after Exterme Rules adressing his victory over MVP & Carmelo Hayes, when he's cut off by United States Champion Austin Theory,. Theory says to Lashley that he's opperating on his time, Bobby needs to get the hell out of his ring. Lashley objects, saying that if Theory wants to prove he's not some kid, then he should know better than to interrupt The Almighty, but since he's out here, he wouldn't mind becoming a 3-time United States Champion. This leads to a brawl between the 2. Instead of a pose down, Lashley beats Elias in a #1 contenders match to secure a US title shot against Austin Theory. The closing moments of the match see's Lashley having Theory in position for a Spear, only for Theory to move out of the way and for Lashley to spear the ref. Theory then tries to get Lashley up for the A-Town Down, only for Lashley to slip out and lock in The Hurt Lock on Theory, only for an unknown hooded figure to show up and attack Lashley, laying out The Almighty. The man takes off his hood to reveal... it's Bronson Reed! Reed, who hasn't been seen in WWE since his release in the Summer of 2021, then climbs to the Top Rope and hits a Tsunami on The Almighty. The ref recovers, and Theory hits The A-Town Down for the win, only for Theory to be attacked by Reed after the match as well.)
Mixed Tag Team Match
AJ Styles & Mia Yim vs La Faccion De Zelina (Dominik Mysterio & Zelina Vega) w/Los Lotharios
(After putting Samoa Joe on the shelf, LFDZ moves on to a feud with Mia Yim, with Zelina trying to recruit Mia Yim to her group, but Mia declines, saying she hasn't forgotten about what Zelina did to her husband. At the same time, AJ Styles begins having problems with LFDZ after Dominik Mysterio scores a shock win over AJ thanks to interference from Zelina Vega. AJ then loses to Angel Garza the following week, and once again loses because of interference from Zelina Vega, so, later that night, he costs Vega in her match against Mia Yim, leading to a Mixed Tag Match being made for Payback. Zelina says that she has tried to recruit Mia to her cause, but she's to stubborn to see the light like her Husband was, and as for AJ, has he done anything of notirity since being buried alive by The Undertaker? No, he hasn't, ever since his pals left, he hasn't been the same, he's not a threat anymore. Mia says she knows what Zelina does to people, she takes their soul and turns them into mute puppets, she isn't gonna let herself become one. AJ says that he may no longer have some Good Brothers to depend on, but he's found someone, because the enemy of his enemy, is his ally. Zelina scores the win with a Code Red on Yim after a distraction by Angel Garza. After the match, LFDZ continue to beat down AJ & Mia, until The Good Brother's music hits, and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (who is still NEVER Openweight Champion at the time of his return) come out, making their shocking WWE return. They take out Garza, Carillo, and Mysterio, with Carillo eating a Magic Killer as Zelina retreats. AJ & The Good Brothers then throw up the 2 Sweet, with Mia Yim also throwing up a 2 Sweet, The OC is back, this time with its first female member.)
Street Fight
Drew McIntyre vs LA Knight
(Despite LA Knight being victorious at Extreme Rules, Drew McIntyre is far from finished with him, attacking LA Knight in the parking lot before he has an IC title #1 contenders match. This leads to Adam Pearce setting up a rematch between the 2 for Payback, this time, in a Street Fight, however, makes that if either man engages in physical contact with each other, the match will be off and they both will be suspended indefinitely. LA Knight says the so-called "Chosen One" is gonna be in store for groundhog day come Payback, because he is going to receive a beating over, and over, and over again, and that is not an insult, that, is just a fact of life, YEAH! Drew says this has to end, and it will, with LA Knight's head getting Claymore'd off his body. Drew wins after a Future Shock DDT on a chair followed up with a Claymore.)
Raw Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) w/Edge vs Asuka
(Asuka wins a Fatal 4-Way Match over Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, and Bayley to secure a second shot at Rhea Riple's Raw Women's Championship. Asuka says that she has toppled Rhea Ripley to become Raw Women's Champion before, and even though she may be more dark and sinister now, that same Rhea who she defeated to become Raw Women's Champion at Summerslam 2021, is still in there. Rhea says that she was weak back then, and now that she guidance, Asuka is done fore, because she is headed for a dark road of pain after she's done for. Rhea avenges her Summerslam 2021 defeat, pinning Asuka clean after a Riptide. After the match, Asuka angrily heads to the back and bumps a cameraman, hinting at a change of character for The Empress of Tommorow. In the months that follow, Asuka goes on a lengthy losing streak, with Asuka shedding more and more makeup with each loss, before saying in a backstage interview "It's time I awaken her".)
Last Woman Standing Match for the Smackdown Women's Championship - Everyone is banned from ringside
Liv Morgan (C) vs Blair Davenport
(After Liv Morgan retained her Smackdown Women's Championship in a photo finish against Blair Davenport, their war is still far from finished, with Davenport earning one more shot against Liv after defeating Candice Lerae in a #1 contenders match, however, this time, it's a Last Woman Standing Match. Liv says that she proved she can put her body on the line to retain the Smackdown Women's Championship when she jumped off the top of the cage at Extreme Rules, no matter how many times she gets knocked down, she will get back up each and every time, and a Payback, she's going to make sure that she hears no bell if she's laid out on the ground. Davenport says that Liv is too stupid for her own good, she will recklessly throw herself off of tall structures, she will do anything for that championship, but this time, when she leaps off those tall structures, she won't get back up, and the Smackdown Women's Championship will be around the waiste of its rightful owner. With no Damage CTRL or Sarah, Shotzi, and Candice able to interfere, it's an even playing field, and Liv Morgan once again prevails, hitting a Superplex through 2 tables outside the ring, with Davenport failing to get up for the count, and Liv Morgan retaining her Smackdown Women's Championship. After the match, Liv Morgan is attacked from behind by a hooded woman, who lays her out with a Michinoku Driver II. The woman takes off her hood to reveal... it's Emma! Back for the first time in 5 years, Emma then hits The Spotlight Kick on Liv, before hoisting up the Smackdown Women's Championship over The Queen of Extreme.)
Fight Pit Match for the WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Matt Riddle (By Technical Submission)
(Despite Karrion Kross walking out the victor in their Extreme Rules Match at Extreme Rules, Matt Riddle isn't done with the WWE Champion. Riddle attacks Kross in a promo on the Raw after Extreme Rules, with the 2 getting into a pull-apart brawl. The following week, Matt Riddle defeats The Miz in a singles match, with Karrion Kross launching a post match assault on Riddle post match. The following week, The Orginal Bro lays down the challenge to Karrion Kross for a rematch at TLC, this time in Matt Riddle's world... a Fight Pit! Karrion Kross then appears on the titantron, saying he accepts Matt Riddle's challenge, because Riddle can have as many advantages he likes, because it's not gonna matter, at the end, he will pay the toll, tick tock. The match is as brutal and barbaric as ever, with Kross hitting a Doomsday Saito Suplex off the platform into the ring, before hitting a number of Kross Hamers before making Riddle pass out to the Kross Jacket to retain the WWE Championship.)
6-Man Tag Team Winner Takes All Match for the World Heavyweight and Smackdown Tag Team Championships
The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & The Usos) (C) w/Paul Heyman, Sami Zayn, & Solo Sikoa vs The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Pete Dunne, & Ridge Holland)
(On the Smackdown after Extreme Rules, The Brawling Brutes score an upset win over The Usos in a non title match. Later that night, The Bloodline cost Sheamus in a Fatal 4-Way IC title #1 contenders match as a measure of revenge. The following week, Sheamus scores a victory over Sami Zayn, but is blindsided by a returning Roman Reigns, who hasn't been seen since his successful title defense over Drew McIntyre at Clash at The Castle, with Roman injuring Sheamus' elbow which writes him off TV for a few weeks so he can go and get married. Adam Pearce punishes not just Roman Reigns, but The Usos for this, by informing them that Sheamus will be back in time for Payback, for a chance at Payback, because Roman and The Usos will be forced to defend the World Heavyweight Championship and Smackdown Tag Teag Championships against All 3 members of The Brawling Brutes... in a 6-Man Tag Team Winner Takes All Match. It's worth noting that for months now, Jey Uso has been dissaproving of Sami Zayn being "The Honorary Uce", with Roman trying to get the 2 to sort their troubles out, and it accidentally leads to Jey disrespecting The Head of The Table, which also leads to the infamous "Ucey" line by Sami Zayn. Sheamus returns on the go-home Smackdown before Payback, saving Dunne & Holland from a beatdown by The Bloodline. Sheamus says that The Bloodline costing him in that Fatal 4-Way was the beginning of the end for them, because now The Bloodline's run of dominance is near it's end, and at Payback, not only will there be a new World Heavyweight Champion and new Smackdown Tag Team Champions, but a new era will begin, an The Era of Banger, after Banger, after Banger etc. Roman says The Brawling Brutes are gonna get smashed and stacked like nobody has ever seen before, and not only that, he's gonna prove why those 3 are the biggest 2's of them all. The closing moments of the match see's Sheamus preparing to hit a Brogue Kick on Jey Uso, only for Sami Zayn to get in the ring and throw himself into harm's way, eating The Brogue Kick from Jey Uso. This allows Jey time to recover and tag Roman in, who hits a Spear on Sheamus for the win.)

Raw Women's Championship
Rhea Ripley (C) w/Finn Balor, Damian Priest, & Joe Gacy vs Tegan Nox
(Tegan Nox wins a Fatal 4-Way Match over Nikki Cross, Mia Yim, and Zelina Vega to secure herself a shot at Rhea Ripley's Raw Women's Championship. Tegan says that she hasn't forgotten about The Mae Young Classic where Rhea was responsible for her blowing her knee out, she hasn't forgotten about how Rhea choosing her for Wargames in 2019 led to her biggest embarrassment at the hands of Dakota Kai, but at Survivor Series: Wargames, it's time Rhea is the one who is embarrassed. Rhea says that she's shocked Tegan's knees can even hold up after all these years, because she knows that Tegan can't carry the weight of being Raw Women's Champion.)
Main Card
5-on-5 Women's Wargames Match
Team Liv (Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Shotzi Blackheart, Candice Lerae, & Becky Lynch) vs Team Blair (Blair Davenport, Dakota Kai, Io Shirai, Toni Storm, & Emma)
(On the Smackdown after Payback, Liv Morgan demands answers from Emma after her shocking attack on her, only to be interrupted by Damage CTRL, with Blair Davenport saying she is far from finished with Liv Morgan, first she flukes her way to a successful defense at Extreme Rules, then she gets a stipulation enforced to prevent her girls from having her back, she's had enough, and on top of that, Liv Morgan is still yet to pin her, so she wants 1 final match with Liv inside... WARGAMES! She's already got 4 of her 5, and Liv should know who the 5th is after what happened at Payback. Liv is then attacked by Emma once again, with this revealing Emma as the 5th member of Team Blair. Damage CTRL & Emma beat down Liv 5-on-1, until Sarah Logan, Shotzi Blackheart, & Candice Lerae all run down to make the save, making it clear they want to be 3 of Team Liv's 5. Liv agrees to have them on her team since they've all had her back in her war against Damage CTRL. Liv also says she'll reveal who the 5th is on the Smackdown before Survivor Series, so Team Blair will only have 24 hours to prepare for all 5. The 5th member of Team Liv is revealed to be none other than Becky Lynch, The Man is back, and she wants vengeance on Blair Davenport & Damage CTRL. Liv finally puts her feud with Blair to rest, finally scoring a pinfall over her after an Ob-Liv-Ion through a Table off the Cage Wall.)
8-Person Mixed Tag Team Match
The OC vs La Faccion De Zelina
(Following The Good Brothers return to WWE at Payback, AJ Styles, now that he has a group of 4, lays to down the challenge for an 8-Person Mixed Tag Match at Survivor Series against LFDZ on The OC's behalf, saying LFDZ need to be brought back to reality, Garza, Carillo, and Dominik all think they're the next Eddie Guerrero, when they can't even lace Eddie's boots, and are trying to be the next James Ellsworth. Dominik speaks on behalf of LFDZ, saying that if anyone is delusional, it's AJ, he brought back his 2 bald stooges who were stinking it up on the other side of the pacific ocean isn't gonna work, and we all saw how Mia faired against Mami Zelina, she got her a$$ handed to her, just like how The OC will have their a$$es handed to them at Survivor Series: War Games. The OC scores the win, with AJ pinning Humberto Carillo after a Styles Clash.)
Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE United States Championship
Austin Theory (C) vs Bobby Lashley vs Bronson Reed vs Braun Strowman
(Following his shock return at Payback, Bronson Reed addresses his return on the Raw after Payback. Reed says that this company saw nothing in him, they told him he just wasn't good enough, when in reality, he has more talent in his left pinkie than that whole roster, they dropped the ball on him, so he's back to correct that wrong, and that starts by becoming the United States Champion. US Champ Austin Theory interrupts, saying that in Bronson's time away, he may have beaten Rainmakers and shared the ring with Aces and Commonwealth Kingpins, but none of that matters, because he is living in the era of The Now, and ever since Reed's 15 minutes of fame expired in the Summer of last year, he's been putting in down on Raw, he's making everyone go A-Town Down, and Reed will be no different. Bobby Lashley then interrupts, saying that if wasn't for Bronson Reed sticking his nose where it didn't belong, he would be standing here a 3-time United States Champion, so he would love to kick both of their a$$es and correct Payback's mistake. Braun Strowman then interrupts, saying that he didn't just come back to get revenge on The Hurt Business, he already did that, he came back to win gold, and the gold that he has his eye on, is the one that Austin Theory has dropped over his shoulder. A 4-Way brawl breaks out between the 4 men, which leads to Sonya Deville making a Fatal 4-Way Match for the US title at Survivor Series. Despite being undersized compared to his 3 much larger opponents, Austin Theory manages to steal the win after Braun Strowman hits the Monster Bomb on Bobby Lashley, with Theory then tossing Strowman out of the ring and scoring the pin.)
Dijak vs Seth Rollins
(On the Smackdown after Payback, Seth Rollins has a match against Dominik Dijakovic in an IC title #1 contenders tournament, where Rollins is victorious, however, Dijakovic snaps after this and attacks Rollins, causing a doubler turn, with Dijakovic powerbombing Rollins through the announce table. The following week, Dijakovic, now going by just Dijak and sporting a much darker look, explains his actions. Dijak says that ever since he came to Smackdown, things were supposed to be good for him, he was supposed to break through to the main event after having a reign as United States Champion, but it hasn't gone his way in the slightest, but that needs to change, which is why he's bringing his brand of justice to Smackdown, and since Survivor Series is coming up, he wants a match with Rollins at Survivor Series, which just so happens to be the 10 year anniversary of Seth's debut, well that day isn't gonna be a day of celebration, it's gonna be a day of reckoning. Dijak then costs Seth in the Semi Finals of the IC title tournament against Santos Escobar. Seth Rollins answers Dijak's challenge the following week, saying Dijak came to Smackdown with all the hype in the world after the amazing stuff he did over on Raw, but every since he came to Smackdown, all he has done is disappoint, and Survivor Series, the 10 year anniversary of his debut, Dijak, even with his new edgelord attitude, once again fails. Rollins does prevail at his 10 year anniversary, but it takes 3 Curb Stomps and a Pedigree, with Dijak kicking out of 2 Curb Stomps, being protected in defeat.)
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Swerve Strickland (C) w/Hit Row vs Ricochet
(Ricochet wins a #1 contenders tournament over Jinder Mahal, Pete Dunne, and Santos Escobar to earn a shot at Swerve Strickland's Intercontinental Championship. Swerve says that Ricochet is not worthy of becoming Intercontinental Champion again because he is a superior version of Ricochet in every way, and at Survivor Series, he will break Ricochet's spirit and clip the wings of the so called "Future of Flight". Ricochet says that Swerve may be flying high as he's in the middle of a near 300+ day reign as Intercontinental Champion, but that's all about to come crashing down as he lands flat on his face. The 2 high flyers put on a banger of a match, with The Mogul managing to retain after hitting a House Call in mid air, followed up with a Swerve Stomp. After the match, Hit Row beats down Ricochet, until Ricochet's old rival Seth Rollins runs down to make the save, with both men shaking hands and burying the hatchet after Hit Row retreats.)
Edge w/Judgment Day vs Johnny Gargano
(After Judgment Day put his tag team partner Tommaso Ciamp on the shelf, Johnny Gargano decides to get even with Judgment Day and challenges none other than the leader of Judgment Day Edge to a match at Survivor Series, saying that Judgment Day just jeaprodised the career of Tommaso Ciampa, he's not sure if he's gonna be back, Edge should be able to empathise with that considering he spent 9 years fighting to get his career back, except whatever is left of Edge doesn't, he instead chooses to lead his own cult and throw away whatever humanity he has left, so he's gonna have to put an end to this heartless Edge and beat the humanity back into him. Edge accept's Gargano's challenge, saying that Johnny isn't quite understanding what he and Judgment Day are doing, yes, they took out Tommaso Ciamp, but he did Ciampa a favor by beating him into a point of no return for heading the message of Judgment Day, and Gargano, he's heading that message just like his tag partner Ciampa did, and if he thought what happened to Ciampa was bad, what happens to Gargano will be a lot worse. Despite Judgment Day's presence, Gargano manages to fight them off, and counters a Spear from Edge into the Garga-No Escape, making Edge tap out, and scoring the biggest win of his career.)
WWE Championship
Karrion Kross (C) w/Scarlett vs Keith Lee (By Technical Submission)
(Keith Lee wins a 6-Pack Challenge over Finn Balor, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, and Elias to earn a shot at Karrion Kross' WWE Championship at Survivor Series: Wargames. Keith Lee says that 2 years ago, he and Karrion Kross headlined NXT Takeover: Boston for the NXT Championship inside the TD Garden, Kross defeated him that night, so it's only fitting that 2 year later, they go back to the TD Garden and he has a chance to avenge his Takeover: Boston shortcoming and finally become the WWE Champion. Kross says that Keith may think this is some chance at redemption for Takeover: Boston, but he's gonna have to learn the hard way that just like when he couldn't defeat him on 1 arm, he's outmatched, because 3 things are guaranteed in life, death, taxes, and Karrion Kross wins, Tick Tock. Keith Lee comes dangerously close to winning, as he counters a Kross Hammer into a Big Bang Catastrophe, but when he hits the Big Bang Catastrophe, Kross' foot knocks the referee over. This allows Scarlett to get in the ring and launch a fireball into the eyes of Keith Lee. This gives Kross the time to recover and lock in The Kross Jacket, making Lee pass out to the hold, retaining the WWE Championship at the same PPV he debuted at 1 year ago. Kross once again defeats Keith Lee, but this isn't the end of Keith Lee's WWE Championship ambitions.)
5-on-5 Men's Wargames Match
The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, & Sami Zayin) w/Paul Heyman vs Team Sheamus (Sheamus, Pete Dunne, Ridge Holland, Drew McIntyre, & Kevin Owens)
(Following The Bloodline's victory over The Brawling Brutes at Payback, Roman Reigns gloats about The Bloodline's victory on the Smackdown following Payback. The Bloodline is interrupted by The Brawling Brutes, who storm to the ring and begin brawling with The Bloodline despite being outnumbered, with Drew McIntyre running down to make the save and give The Brutes better odds, with Drew shouting the words "WARGAMES" into the microphone as The Bloodline retreats. The following week, Sami Zayn and Pete Dunne compete in the first round of an IC title #1 contenders tournament, with Dunne prevailing, but a brawl between The Bloodline and The Brawling Brutes + Drew McIntyre breaks out post match, and it leads to Sheamus' 5th man being revealed, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn's former best friend. On the go-home Smackdown before Survivor Series, Kevin Owens confronts Sami Zayn alone backstage, with KO asking Sami what happens when he says or does something that pi$$es a member of The Bloodline off, how many times in the past 20 years of their careers has he had to bail Sami out because Sami said or did something that pi$$ed somebody off without him meaning it, so what's gonna happen when he pi$$es Roman off, because Sami has seen what Roman does to his own blood when they pi$$ him off, so, what's gonna happen to Sami? He should think about it, because if he were Sami, he wouldn't wait for them to turn on him, he would strike first. KO says all this, all while Jey Uso (who still is on bad terms with Sami) eavesdrops. Once KO leaves, Jey confronts Sami, with Jey asking Sami has he talked to anyone outside of the Bloodline today? With Sami lying to Jey's face and saying no he hasn't. Before the match, Jey confronts Roman and tells him that Sami lied to him, which leads to Roman confronting Sami about it. Sami comes clean to Roman, saying that yes he did lie to Jey, because he didn't want to put any pressure on Jey, who had a Wargames Advantage match against Drew McIntyre later that night, which he went on to win, and his loyalty lies to The Bloodline and The Bloodline only. This is the exact same match as in real life, with Jey Uso starting for The Bloodline, Sami being sent in second instead of Jimmy, Sami stopping the ref from counting 3 when KO is pinning Roman, Sami low blowing KO and offering him up as a sacrifice to Jey Uso, who hits a Frog Splash for the win, as Sami and Jey finally bury the hatchet and hug it out after the match.)

Card
Women's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine who will challenge Gigi Dolin for the NXT Women's Championship later on in the night
Roxanne Perez vs Cora Jade vs Kay Lee Ray vs Isla Dawn vs Zoey Stark (2-1-1-1-0)
(In the leadup to Deadline, NXT GM Shawn Michaels announces that there will be a first time ever match type that will take place at Deadline, The Iron Survivor Challenge. The rules of The Iron Survivor Challenge are that 2 wrestlers will start the match, every 5 minutes, a new wrestler will enter, and if a wrestler is pinned, they will spend 90 seconds in the penalty box, whoever has the most falls scored by the end of the 25 minute period wins the match. There will be both a Women's Iron Survivor Challenge and a Men's Iron Survivor Challenge. NXT Women's Champion Gigi Dolin insist to Shawn Michaels that she faces the winner of the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge later on in the evening, because they will be too banged up from having to compete 25 minutes, and she'll be able to wipe the floor with them. Roxanne Perez defeats Zoey Stark to qualify, Cora Jade defeats Indi Hartwell to qualify, Kay Lee Ray defeats Kianna James to qualify, Isla Dawn defeats Fallon Henely to qualify, and Zoey Stark (who turned heel after returning from her ACL tear by attacking Nikkita Lyons) defeats Kiana James, Indi Hartwell, and Fallon Henely in a Last Chance Fatal 4-Way to qualify. Roxanne wins after scoring the most falls, with Cora Jade trying to pin Roxanne as the clock winds down in the final seconds, but it's too late as time expires and Roxanne secures her title shot later on in the evening. After the match, Gigi Dolin & Piper Niven run down and attack Roxanne, with Piper hitting a Samoan Drop on Roxanne through a table, putting Roxanne's title match later on in the evening in doubt.) NXT Tag Team Championships
Pretty Deadly (C) vs The New Day
(After successfully defending the NXT Tag Titles weekly against the likes of The Creed Brothers, Imperium, Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, Grizzled Young Veterans, and Chase U, On the go home episode of NXT before Deadline, NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly are reading a bunch of Pretty Deadly themed Christmas stories, when they are shockingly interrupted by The New Day, who make their NXT debut. Kofi & Woods say that Pretty Deadly's story they just told was amazing, but the story they want to hear is who Pretty Deadly will defend the NXT Tag Titles against at Deadline since they've claimed to have beaten everybody, but they haven't beaten ya boys The New Day, so why don't Elton & Kit put those tag titles on the line at Deadline, so that they can hurry up and become your new WWE NXT World Tag Team Champions. Prety Deadly accept, saying they welcome the challenge of these 2 morons, because they can't hold the handle to the 2 tastiest snacks in NXT, a yes boy. This is the same match that happened IRL, with both teams trying to use Eddie Guerrero's signature lying, cheating, and stealing against each other, and The New Day still winning to complete the trifecta of winning the Raw, Smackdown, and NXT Tag Team Championships.)
Men's Iron Survivor Challenge to determine who will challenge for the NXT Championship at New Year's Evil 2023
Grayson Waller vs Bron Breakker vs Jordan Devlin vs Nash Carter vs A-Kid (2-3-0-2-2)

Grayson Waller defeats Andre Chase to qualify, Bron Breakker defeats Damon Kemp to qualify, Jordan Devlin defeas A-Kid to qualify, Nash Carter defeats Oro Mensah to qualify, and A-Kid (not Axiom, although he does have the Axiom look, only he wears the mask for his entrance only) defeats Andre Chase, Damon Kemp, and Oro Mensah in a Last Chance Fatal 4-Way to secure the final spot in the match. When Bron Breakker enters the match, he hits a double spear on Jordan Devlin and A-Kid and pins both of them to get 2 points on the board immediately. Waller ties Bron with less than 30 seconds left after hitting The Rolling Stunner on A-Kid, running around to run the clock until it expires, until he runs into a Spear from Bron Breakker, who scores the winning pin at the last second to become the #1 contender to the NXT Championship.)
NXT Women's Championship
Gigi Dolin (C) w/Piper Niven vs Roxanne Perez
(After her attack on Roxanne Perez, Gigi Dolin says in a backstage interview before her match that of course it was that little twerp from Texas who she has to defend the NXT Women's Title, she already defeated her once, and now she's gonna run right through her once again. Despite coming into this match with injured ribs, despite Piper Niven being at ringside, despite having already wrestled once the same evening, Roxanne manages to overcome adversity and hit a Pop Rocks off the second rope, before hitting 1 final and definitive Pop Rocks on Gigi to become the new NXT Women's Champion, ending Gigi's reign at 254 days.)
NXT Championship
GUNTHER (C) w/Imperium vs Apollo Crews
(Apollo Crews defeats Jordan Devlin to become the #1 contender to GUNTHER's NXT Championship. Crews says that ever since he returned to NXT back in June, 1 thing has been on his mind, claiming what he never got to hold in his first run in NXT, the NXT Championship, because he has a vision of gold, and that vision becomes a reality at Deadline. GUNTHER says that Apollo Crews is more motivated as ever, because this, it the biggest match of his career in this great sport, he's doing everything he can to prepare for Der Ring General, but 1 thing Apollo needs to know, is that on the sacred mat, he is unbeatable, and he will continue to succeed in this great sport as NXT Champion. Crews puts up a valiant effort in a back-and-forth contest, kicking out of GUNTHER's trademark lariat and powerbomb, before GUNTHER puts him down with the Last Symphony to retain the NXT Championship. After the match, as Imperium stands over Apollo Crews, GUNTHER turns around into a Spear from the new #1 contender to the NXT Championship, Bron Breakker, who also gives both Kaiser & Vinci a Spear, before hitting another Spear on GUNTHER, and hosting up the NXT Championship.)
