WWE Starrcade December 16, 2018 Greensboro Coliseum Greensboro, NC
*The New Day [Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods] w/Big E d. Bobby Roode & Dolph Ziggler by Pinfall to Win the WWE Tag Team Titles Fresh off their surprising victory as part of Team Angle at Survivor Series, The New Day challenged the duo of Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Tag Team Titles. Ziggler and Roode were down early, but quickly took control when Xavier Woods missed a dive to the outside, allowing Roode to work over the challenger's head and neck area. Woods eventually made the hot tag to Kingston, who came in and cleaned house. Kingston eventually hit the Trouble in Paradise on both Ziggler and Roode in quick succession, picking up the win and regaining tag gold for the New Day.
*Bobby Lashley w/Lio Rush d. Mustafa Ali by Pinfall to Retain the United States Championship In a standard title defense, Bobby Lashley took on former United States Champion Mustafa Ali. Despite the high flyer putting up some good offense against Lashley, the Alpha simply hit a massive spear on Ali and then finished him off with a Dominator to pick up the win and retain his title.
*Asuka d. Becky Lynch by Pinfall to Retain the Women's World Title With Charlotte Flair technically having been suspended by WWE General Manager Paige for "attacking a fan" in Becky Lynch at Survivor Series, "The Man" was free to challenge Asuka for the Women's World Title at Starrcade. Lynch gave Asuka the toughest fight she had so far on the main roster, and it looked like she might beat the Japanese sensation before the referee accidentally was struck by a kick from Asuka. As Lynch hit the Manhandle Slam, only for their to be no referee to make the count, a "ringside doctor" came in to revive the ref. This doctor chased Lynch off once, but when Lynch came over again, the doctor hit Lynch in the jaw with a right hand and then delivered a clothesline, before revealing herself as Charlotte Flair. Flair then delivered the Natural Selection on Lynch before reviving the referee. Asuka crawled over unawares and made the cover, getting the pinfall as the issue between Lynch and Flair continued to boil over.
*Rey Mysterio d. Andrade w/Zelina Vega by Disqualification [Andrade Retains the Intercontinental Title] Two of the biggest Hispanic stars in the world faced off for the Intercontinental Title, as Andrade defended against Rey Mysterio. The veteran had the definitive speed advantage over the stronger Andrade, and used his veteran savvy to get a leg up on the champion. However, before Rey could think about finishing off El Idolo, Zelina Vega jumped into the ring and low blowed Rey, resulting in a deliberate disqualification that would keep the belt on Andrade.
*Dean Ambrose d. Seth Rollins via Referee Stoppage in a No Disqualification Match On the night Roman Reigns had announced that he was taking a leave of absence from WWE due to a return of a lieukemia diagnosis, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose had won the WWE Tag Team Titles as The Shield. However this alliance ended quickly, as Ambrose turned on Rollins the same night, planting him through an announce table with a Paradigm Shift. Ambrose blamed Rollins for "poisoning" Reigns by forcing him to forgive Rollins for his betrayal of the Shield years earlier, something which Ambrose refused to do. Ambrose then began systematically attacking Rollins whenever he could, even costing him the Intercontinental Title against Andrade. This led to a No DQ match between the two at Starrcade, which Rollins was coming into injured due to the repeated attacks. Ambrose refused to relent on Rollins, busting him open and eventually getting to the point where Rollins could no longer defend himself. In the end, the referee called off the match, awarding the decision to Ambrose, only for the Lunatic Fringe to try and continue his assault. It was only after Triple H and WWE officials came out that they could pull Ambrose off of Rollins.
*Cesaro d. Samoa Joe by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship Cesaro continued his impressive reign as World Heavyweight Champion, taking on Samoa Joe for the title. Joe had earned a shot via winning a battle royal on Raw, and had actually choked out the champion on two separate occasions. Cesaro managed to avoid the Coquina Clutch in this match, however, even powering out of an attempted Muscle Buster before launching Joe into a Giant Swing, and then finally finishing off the Samoan Challenger with a Zurich Bomb to retain the title. As Cesaro headed to the back, he was briefly confronted by Brock Lesnar in the entryway as the Beast Incarnate made his way to ringside for his match.
*Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman d. Braun Strowman by Pinfall to Earn a Shot at the World Heavyweight Championship The two captains from the War Games match at Survivor Series met in another colossal collision, this time with the winner receiving a World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble. While the match was hard hitting, it would ultimately end in controversy, as the latest "Paul Heyman Guy", the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura, made his presence known, hitting Strauman with a low blow behind the referee's back (and seemingly unbeknownst to Lesnar.) Brock then hit Braun with a massive F5 to pick up the win and punch his ticket to a title match at the Rumble.
*Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka d. The Riott Squad [Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott] by Pinfall to Retain the Women's Tag Team Titles In a standard title defense, the duo of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka continued to dominate the Women's Tag Division, taking out former champions The Riott Squad with little difficulty when Jax hit a Banzai Drop on Liv Morgan for the win.
*Daniel Bryan d. AJ Styles in a Ladder Match to Retain the WWE Championship #1 contender Kurt Angle had graciously stepped aside, deferring his title match to the Royal Rumble so that former champion AJ Styles could get his hands on the "New" Daniel Bryan. Styles earned the right to pick the stipulation of the match after defeating Bryan's "eco-acolyte" Erik Rowan on an episode of Smackdown, electing to make the match a Ladder Match. Kurt Angle even came to ringside to try and keep Rowan from interfering in the match, which almost allowed Styles to grab the belt from the top of the ladder. However Bryan was able to fend off the Phenomenal One, kicking him off the ladder when Styles was inches away from grabbing the belt and causing the exhausted Styles to plummet to the ring below. Bryan then grabbed the title and secured its retention, before staring a hole through Angle in anticipation for their match to close the show.

NXT Takeover: Phoenix January 26, 2019 Talking Stick Resort Arena Phoenix, AZ
*The Street Profits [Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford] d. Grizzled Young Veterans [James Drake & Zack Gibson], Heavy Machinery [Otis & Tucker] & The Mighty Aussies [Nick Miller & Shane Thorne] in a Fatal Fourway to Earn a Tag Team Title Shot 4 of the top teams in NXT kicked off with a Fatal Fourway to crown new #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Otis and Tucker used their power and weight to their advantage early on, but it was the high flying nature of Montez Ford that led to the Street Profits pulling out the victory, as Ford pinned Shane Thorne following a huge splash from the top.
*Kairi Sane & Io Shirai d. Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir by Pinfall Kairi Sane and Io Shirai teamed up to take on the cohorts of NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler in Jessamin Duke and Marina Shafir. The two submission specialists tried to target Sane's knee throughout the match, but Io Shirai showcased her own high flying abilities as well, especially after getting a hot tag to close the match. Eventually she pinned Shafir with a Moonsault from the top.
*Roderick Strong d. Tony Nese by Pinfall to Retain the International Championship In a standard title defense, Roderick Strong of the Undisputed Era continued his winning ways as International Champion, defeating Tony Nese with the End of Heartache to retain his title.
*Keith Lee d. Johnny Gargano by Pinfall In a stunning match, newcomer Keith Lee dominated former NXT champion Johnny Gargano right from the start. "Johnny Wrestling" was unable to gain much traction against the larger, more powerful Lee, and the self-professed Limitless One eventually beat Gargano in 5 minutes flat after hitting him with a Spirit Bomb. After the match, a despondent Gargano went to the back, seemingly unsure of his future on the brand.
*The Undisputed Era [Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish] d. War Raiders [Erik & Ivar] & British Strong Style [Trent Severn & Tyler Bate] to Win the NXT Tag Team Titles After a title match between British Strong Style and the War Raiders had ended in a double disqualification due to Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish's interference, NXT General Manager William Regal booked a triple threat match for the titles at Takeover Phoenix at the behest of the other two teams. While the highly dominant War Raiders appeared poised to win the match and the titles after Ivar hit Tyler Bate with a Doomsault. However Fish and O'Reilly chased Ivar off and stole the pinfall, picking up the cheap win and regaining the NXT Tag Team Titles in the process.
*Shayna Baszler d. Bianca Belair by Submission to Retain the NXT Women's Title The self-professed "EST" of NXT, Bianca Belair, had seemingly had Shayna Baszler's number in the weeks leading up to this match, becoming one of the few to pin the champion on the brand after hitting her with a KOD during a six woman tag match. However the Queen of Spades proved her mettle again, tapping out Belair after locking in a Kimura Armbar. It appeared that Baszler would make Belair suffer more, refusing to break the hold after the bell, and only breaking when Toni Storm came rushing out of the back to the defense of Belair.
*Adam Cole d. Matt Riddle by Pinfall to Retain the NXT Championship This match was originally scheduled to be Adam Cole defending against Tommasso Ciampa, but a neck injury to the Blackhart prevented him from competing. Instead the undefeated Matt Riddle stepped up to challenge for the NXT title, and Cole underestimating Riddle nearly cost him as Riddle scored a near fall early on. In the end though, Cole pulled out another victory after hitting the Panama Sunrise on Riddle, with a shot of the Undisputed Era all holding their titles above their heads in the center of the ring closed the show.

WWE Royal Rumble January 27, 2019 Chase Field Phoenix, AZ
*Charlotte Flair d. Becky Lynch by Pinfall to Qualify for the Women's Royal Rumble Match After months of being at each others throats, a match was finally set between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch for the Royal Rumble. To "spice things up", WWE co-director Stephanie McMahon added a stipulation to the match that the winner would advance to the Women's Royal Rumble match later in the night, while the loser wouldn't. After a lengthy back and forth which saw both women gain the upper hand multiple times, Charlotte executed a Victory Roll out of an Electric Chair position, utilizing the nearby ropes for added leverage to narrowly get a three count and cheat her way to victory, leaving a despondant and angered Man behind as she headed to the back.
*Seth Rollins Won the 30-Man Men's Royal Rumble Match The Men's Royal Rumble match began with a "performance" from Elias, but his musical stylings were quickly interrupted by the New Day, who would make up 3/5's of the opening 5 spots. Kofi Kingston would actually prove to be the story of the Rumble, as he continued his impressive run since Survivor Series, lasting all the way from number 5 to being in the final three in the ring, with the crowd getting behind him. Other stories included Seth Rollins getting some revenge on Dean Ambrose by eliminating him from the Rumble, while Samoa Joe and AJ Styles engaged in a ringside brawl after they were eliminated quickly thanks to each other. The final part of the match came down to Rollins and the newest "Paul Heyman guy" in Shinsuke Nakamura. The King of Strong Style seemingly had the advantage due to Rollins having come in at #13, however Rollins was able to dodge an attempt at the Boma Ye and hit a Superkick, followed by a Curb Stomp on Nakamura, before clotheslining him out of the ring and winning the Rumble, punching his ticket to Wrestlemania.
*The Revival [Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder] d. The Usos [Jimmy & Jey Uso] in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match to Win the World Tag Team Titles The Revival and The Usos "ran it back" as it were following their well-received title match back at Survivor Series, this time in a 2 out of 3 Falls match with no time limit to try and make sure there was a winner. The Revival got the first fall, hitting Jimmy Uso with a Shatter Machine to pick up the win. The Usos struggled through the second fall, but eventually hit a double superkick followed by a schoolboy of Jey on Dash Wilder to even the score. Sadly the match would be once again mired in controversy, as the referee went down just as the Usos hit Dawson with the 1-D. This brought out Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who had also been feuding with the Usos in recent weeks, who attacked the champions with aluminum baseball bats, knocking them out. Zayn then placed Dawson on the fallen Usos while Owens revived the referee, who counted the fall and gave the tainted victory to the unaware Revival.
*Ronda Rousey d. Nia Jax by Submission to Retain the WWE Women's Championship Back when Ronda Rousey had first targeted the WWE Women's Championship, she challenged Nia Jax, but was interrupted by a cash-in from Alexa Bliss. In the months since Rousey had not faced the Dominator Jax, but the current Women's Tag Team Champion made clear she wanted to become a double champion ahead of the Royal Rumble. Jax's power was hard for the champion to overcome early on, but Ronda was able to survive and work over Jax's arm, eventually locking in an armbar and picking up the win.
*Cesaro d. Brock Lesnar w/Paul Heyman by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Championship Brock Lesnar had earned a title shot the previous month at Starrcade, after defeating Braun Strowman in controversial fashion. He made clear though he didn't want Shinsuke Nakamura's interference in this match, even going so far as to threaten his advocate Paul Heyman if Nakamura got involved. Cesaro was the underdog coming into the match, but the Swiss Superman surprisingly was able to move Brock with ease. The two traded power moves repeatedly, and Cesaro actually managed to kick out of the F5 at one point. In the end Nakamura came down to ringside, not getting involved per se, but "accidentally" distracting Lesnar long enough for Cesaro to hit a Giant Boot to the back of Lesnar's head, before hitting a Neutralizer for the pinfall to pick up the upset win. After the match, Heyman and Nakamura bailed out of the ring before Lesnar could find them.
*Daniel Bryan d. Kurt Angle by Submission to Retain the WWE Championship Kurt Angle finally got his opportunity to regain the WWE Championship for the first time since 2005, as well as gain a measure of revenge against Daniel Bryan, in this match at the Royal Rumble. Surprisingly, the "new" Daniel Bryan respected Angle enough to tell his disciple Erick Rowan to remain in the back and allow Bryan to take on the Olympic Hall of Famer by himself. Bryan and Angle had a highly technical match, in which Angle was able to match Bryan counter for counter, even if the champion could out strike him. At one point Angle nearly had the match won with the Ankle Lock, only for Bryan to barely make it to the ropes to force a break on the hold. In the end, Bryan was able to reverse out of another Ankle Lock attempt and catch Angle onto the mat, locking him in the LeBell Lock and getting a tapout victory, retaining the title.
*Becky Lynch (as a replacement) Won the 30-Woman Women's Royal Rumble Match For the second year in a row the Women's Royal Rumble match would close the show, starting with Bayley and Carmella in the top two spots, though the crowd seemed deflated with the fact that Becky Lynch seemingly would not be in the match. Surprisingly this changed after Tamina Snuka was eliminated. Frustrated, the Islander attacked Bianca Belair as the EST made her way to the ring, reaggravating Belair's knee injury that she had suffered at the hands of Shayna Baszler the night before at Takeover Phoenix. While Belair suffered in the aisleway, Becky Lynch made her way down and pled with WWE General Manager Paige to be allowed into the match as a replacement for Bianca, which Paige eventually agreed to. The Women's Rumble would ultimately come down to Charlotte Flair facing off with Becky Lynch once again, only this time "The Man" was able to get the better of "The Queen", eliminating Charlotte and punching her ticket to Wrestlemania. Lynch celebrated as fireworks went off above her to close the show.

WWE Elimination Chamber February 17, 2019 Toyota Center Houston, TX
*Ronda Rousey d. Bayley by Submission to Retain the WWE Women's Championship The opening contest saw Ronda Rousey, who had been challenged to a Wrestlemania match by Women's Royal Rumble Winner Becky Lynch following that event, defending her title against Bayley. Rousey appeared annoyed at times in the match, particularly about being the opening match, which almost cost her when Bayley rolled up Rousey for a near fall off of a Small Package. Rousey then snuffed out any chance the babyface would have at making a comeback, locking in the Armbar and getting the tapout victory. Later on in the night, Rousey would be seen entering the office of WWE co-directors Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
*Asuka d. Ember Moon, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Sasha Banks & Nikki Cross in an Elimination Chamber Match to Retain the Women's World Championship The first Elimination Chamber match saw the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka, defend the Women's World Championship against 5 of her top competitors. The odds appeared stacked against Asuka, as she was one of the first two to enter the Chamber, along with former champion Naomi. However Asuka would continue her dominance over the Women's Division, outlasting all of her competitors and last eliminating Alexa Bliss via Submission to retain her title. - Asuka & Naomi Entered #1 and #2 Respectively - Nikki Cross Entered #3 - Alexa Bliss Entered #4 - Sasha Banks Entered #5 - Ember Moon Entered #6 - Ember Moon d. Naomi by Pinfall - Sasha Banks d. Nikki Cross by Submission - Asuka d. Ember Moon by Pinfall - Alexa Bliss d. Sasha Banks by Pinfall - Asuka d. Alexa Bliss by Submission Winner: Asuka
*Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn d. The Revival [Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder] by Disqualification [The Revival Retain the World Tag Team Titles] Following their unwanted interference in the tag title match the previous month, The Revival took on the duo of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Owens and Zayn took advantage of an early miscommunication between the champions, isolating Wilder as Dawson appeared to be injured on the outside. Despite this handicap advantage, Owens and Zayn were unable to put away Dash Wilder, who eventually made the hot tag to Dawson, who cleaned house. In the course of the fight, the referee was inadvertantly hit with a dropkick, sending him sprawling to the outside. Owens and Zayn took advantage by hitting a low blow on Dawson, before each grabbing aluminum baseball bats from under the ring. Before they could use the bats, though, the Usos came running from the back and took out the challengers as revenge for the Royal Rumble. The Usos cleared out the ring and helped the referee back into the ring as the Revival hit Zayn with a Spike Piledriver, seemingly getting the win. However, a second referee then came out and informed the official of the Usos interference, causing the original ref to reverse his decision, disqualifying the champions and giving the win (but not the titles) to Owens and Zayn.
*Andrade w/Zelina Vega d. R-Truth by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title R-Truth had impressively won a title shot on an episode of Smackdown in a 5 Man Scramble Match (that also saw Balor Club turn on Finn Balor, breaking up that faction). He then surprised everyone by pinning Andrade in a non-title "tune up" match on Raw, pinning the champion in less than 30 seconds. Andrade was far more dominant in the follow-up match though, attacking R-Truth before the bell and leaving nothing to chance, eventually hitting Truth with a Hammerlock DDT to pick up the win.
*Shinsuke Nakamura w/Paul Heyman d. Brock Lesnar by Pinfall Paul Heyman had ended his long association with Brock Lesnar on the Raw after the Royal Rumble, casting his lot instead with the King of Strong Style after Lesnar had confronted Heyman on Nakamura's involvement in his Royal Rumble title match. Lesnar then attack his former advocate, locking him in the Kimura and seeming to break his arm before Nakamura made the save, leading to this one on one match between the two. Nakamura's fast offense and hard strikes were a sharp contrast to the power moves of Lesnar, but the Beast Incarnate eventually got the upper hand on the former WWE Champion. With the ref temporarily knocked down, Lesnar got Nakamura up for the F-5, but was beaned on the back of the head by Heyman, who attempted to use his arm in a cast as a weapon. The attack didn't faze Brock, who grabbed Lesnar and got him up for an F-5, only to be sprayed in the face by green mist from Nakamura, which blinded him. Nakamura then hit the Boma Ye on Lesnar and got the three count, quickly getting out of dodge with his new personal spokesman.
*Becky Lynch d. Charlotte Flair by Submission to Retain Her Wrestlemania Title Shot The night after the Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch made clear her intentions to challenge Ronda Rousey for the WWE Women's Championship at Wrestlemania 35 at MetLife Stadium. However, before the two could shake hands, Lynch was attacked by her rival and the last woman elminated from the Rumble, Charlotte Flair. The self-professed Queen of WWE claimed that Lynch had wrongfully entered the Rumble (she had been allowed to substitute for the injured Bianca Belair) and that she should have won due to being the "last legal" woman in the match. WWE co-director Shane McMahon seemingly agreed, but allowed Becky's victory to stand, instead putting up the Wrestlemania title shot in a submission match between the two former friends. After a lengthy fight with both women working on setting up their signature submissions, The Man was able to hit a Manhandle Slam on Charlotte and float over into a Dis-Arm-Her, causing Charlotte to tap out in the middle of the ring and retaining her shot at Wrestlemania.
*Dean Ambrose d. Seth Rollins in an I Quit Match The long standing feud between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had not subsided with Rollins winning the Royal Rumble, as Ambrose attacked Seth on the episode of Smackdown following the Rumble when Seth was set to make his choice as to which champion he would challenge at Wrestlemania. Tired of the ongoing feud between the two, WWE Co-Director Triple H eventually made an I Quit match between the two for Elimination Chamber, to try and determine a final winner once and for all. Both men beat each other to a bloody pulp, but neither would give up. Finally, exhausted, Rollins grabbed the microphone and said that if they kept going one of them was going to be permanently injured, or worse. He didn't blame Ambrose for not forgiving him, saying that Rollins maybe "never forgave himself" for ending the Shield, but that he could start to make amends towards healing now. Rollins then ended the match by voluntarily walking out and saying "I Quit," leaving a bloodied and confused Ambrose behind.
*Daniel Bryan d. Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe & The Miz in an Elimination Chamber Match to Retain the WWE Championship Daniel Bryan defended the WWE Championship inside the Elimination Chamber, and from the get go the sentimental favorite was longtime veteran Kofi Kingston, who had won a Last Chance Battle Royal to get into the chamber in the first place after The Miz had cheated his way into the match. Kingston had come close to winning the title back in October, and had strong performances in the Survivor Series and Royal Rumble since then. Kingston would start the match against AJ Styles, and would manage to last all the way to the end (partially due to Samoa Joe choking out Styles after Styles had eliminated Joe from the match first.) However it wouldn't be enough, as Erick Rowan on the outside would hand Bryan a handful of sand to throw in Kingston's face, blinding him temporarily and allowing the champion to hit the running knee to win and retain his title. The show ended with a despondent Kofi being comforted by The New Day, the Wrestlemania sign looming in the background. - Kofi Kingston & AJ Styles started #1 and #2 respectively - Randy Orton Entered at #3 - The Miz Entered at #4 - Samoa Joe Entered at #5 - Daniel Bryan Entered at #6 - AJ Styles d. Samoa Joe by Pinfall - Daniel Bryan d. AJ Styles by Pinfall - The Miz d. Randy Orton by Pinfall - Kofi Kingston d. The Miz by Pinfall - Daniel Bryan d. Kofi Kingston by Pinfall Winner: Daniel Bryan

Charlotte Flair has a point. She did beat someone to qualify for a Royal Rumble and then lost to a hyena who poached on the carcass of Bianca BelAir. I do like how I predicted the two winners even though Chad Gable vs Daniel Bryan would be the better match. This seems very... safe.

WWE Fastlane March 10, 2019 Quicken Loans Arena Cleveland, OH
*Sasha Banks & Bayley d. Nia Jax & Tamina Snuka by Pinfall to Win the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles The duo of Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka had dominated every tag team that they had been put against since winning the titles back in the fall. The toughest team they had ever faced, though, was the so called "Boss 'n Hug Connection" in the form of Sasha Banks and Bayley. The two former Women's Champions were best friends and were able to fight off the dominant islanders, with Banks hitting a backstabber on Snuka followed by a second rope elbow from Bayley which gave the team the hard fought win and made them Women's Tag Team Champions.
*Braun Strowman & Bobby Lashley Fought to a Double Countout [Lashley Retains the United States Title] The Monster Amongst Men targeted Bobby Lashley (who was seemingly on the outs with his "hype man" Lio Rush at the moment) in an effort to regain championship gold, with the two brawny heavyweights battling each other in a titanic collision. However, an end result wouldn't be known, as amidst the fighting between the two men, Lio Rush entered through the crowd and knocked out the ringside official, stealing the United States Championship belt in the process. Lashley noticed this and immediately gave chase through the crowd, with Strowman in hot pursuit after Lashley, leading to both men being counted out.
*John Cena & Randy Orton d. The Miz & Baron Corbin by Pinfall to Win the WWE Tag Team Titles John Cena had appeared on an episode of Raw, claiming that since he didn't have a match for the upcoming Wrestlemania Pay Per View, he would instead act as its official host. This brought out the WWE Tag Team Champions of The Miz and Baron Corbin, who mocked John as being "past his prime" and "not welcome in WWE anymore." Cena would eventually challenge Miz and Corbin to a title match, but it would initially be billed as a handicap match, as anyone who agreed to be Cena's partner was laid out by Corbin. However, when match time came, Cena revealed that he did have a partner in the form of his longtime rival, Randy Orton. The super team surprisingly worked well together, and was able to beat out Miz and Corbin with Cena launching Miz into a Gorilla Press position and then holding him for Orton to hit a thunderous RKO for the win.
*Asuka d. Sonya Deville w/Mandy Rose by Submission to Retain the Women's World Championship In a standard title defense, Asuka somewhat easily bested Sonya Deville, despite the outside interference of her tag team partner Mandy Rose, defeating her after locking her in the Rising Sun submission hold. However the big news coming out of the match was the fact that Asuka was confronted by Charlotte Flair. The two had met at Wrestlemania the previous year and, with Charlotte locked out of facing Ronda Rousey for the Women's Championship, it appeared she wanted a rematch with Asuka for the Women's World Championship instead, as the two stared each other down with the Wrestlemania sign in the background.
*Andrade w/Zelina Vega d. Finn Balor by Pinfall to Retain the Intercontinental Title Finn Balor had been abandoned by the "Balor Club" of Gallows and Anderson, but despite this had struck out on a bit of a winning streak, leading to his challenge of Andrade for the Intercontinental Championship. It appeared that Balor would succeed in capturing the title, setting up Andrade for the Coup de Grace, but a distraction from Zelina Vega allowed Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to attack their former stablemate, knocking him off the top rope. This gave an opening to Andrade to hit the Hammerlock DDT and pick up the win.
*The House of Black [Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy & Wesley Blake] d. The Shield by Pinfall Roman Reigns had made his return to WWE the night after Elimination Chamber, announcing that his cancer was once again in remission and he was medically cleared to return to action. This was good news to Dean Ambrose, who had been going insane over Reigns' absence and feuding with Seth Rollins, blaming the latter for "poisoning" Reigns. Roman asked a personal favor of Dean, to bury the hatchet between all three of them once and for all, which left Ambrose stunned. Eventually however, he seemed to acquiesce, saving Roman and Seth from a beatdown by the House of Black and leading to a six man tag at Fast Lane. Rollins was taken out relatively early, leaving it down to Reigns and Ambrose. Roman struggled against all three members of the House of Black, but eventually made the tag to Ambrose. Ambrose however then turned on Roman, hitting him with a Paradigm Shift and then walking away, leaving Roman open to be pinned by Black and giving his team the win. As the House of Black celebrated afterwards, though, a vignette appeared on the Titantron featuring a more demure version of Bray Wyatt, inviting Black to the "Firefly Fun House" the next night on Raw.
*Kofi Kingston d. Samoa Joe, AJ Styles & Drew McIntyre to win a Shot at the WWE Title at Wrestlemania Kofi's quest to main event Wrestlemania hit a snag at Elimination Chamber, when he barely lost the Chamber match to Daniel Bryan for the WWE Title. Kingston challenged Bryan to another match, but Bryan declined, calling Kofi a "B+ Player" while saying he wasn't worthy of a title shot. Kingston appealed to Mr. McMahon on an episode of Smackdown, who gave him one shot in a Fatal Fourway match involving AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Drew McIntyre as well, but with the career of not only himself but The New Day as a whole (Kingston would have refused with this stipulation, but Big E and Xavier Woods accepted on his behalf). Kofi fought like hell, and was aided by Samoa Joe and AJ Styles being embroiled in their own feud. In the end, Kofi was caught in a Coquina Clutch by Joe, only for Styles to drill Joe in the back with a Phenomenal Forearm, breaking the hold. Kofi then hit the Trouble in Paradise and rolled up Joe to pick up the win and finally secure his title shot at Wrestlemania.
*Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn d. Triple H & Batista by Pinfall The night after Elimination Chamber, a birthday celebration was held for WWE legend Nature Boy Ric Flair, which featured several guests from his career including Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Sting. Also included were the other members of Evolution, Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista (the latter of whom pointing out his past difficulties with Triple H). The celebration was interrupted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who had been having problems with "legends" taking people's spots on TV. Later in the night, Flair was found beaten down and bloodied in the locker room, being forced to be taken to a hospital. Triple H immediately blamed Owens and Zayn, despite the two claiming they were innocent, leading to Triple H recruiting Batista to be his partner in a tag match against the two. The match proceeded as normal, with Triple H getting the hot tag and cleaning house, only for the injured Ric Flair to come running out before Triple H could finish off Zayn. Flair pointed to Batista as the man who attacked him, which led to The Animal turning on Triple H, clotheslining him and laying him out with a Batista Bomb, as well as decking Flair when he tried to get involved. Batista then delivered a second Batista Bomb to the game before putting the unconscious Zayn on top of the Game, giving Owens and Zayn the win.
*Cesaro d. Shinsuke Nakamura w/Paul Heyman by Pinfall to Retain the World Heavyweight Title With Brock Lesnar having been suspended for attacking officials on an episode of Smackdown, the way was clear for Paul Heyman's new client, Shinsuke Nakamura, to challenge Cesaro for the World Heavyweight Championship at Fastlane. The two had a highly athletic, hard hitting match, that nearly saw the King of Strong Style win the match after a wicked Lariat. However, Nakamura missed with a Boma Ye, and then inadvertantly drilled the referee with a roundhouse kick afterwards. This caused Heyman to get involved, as he snuck up behind Cesaro and hit the Swiss Superman with the case his arm was still in due to the after effects of a Kimura Lock from Lesnar. Nakamura set up Cesaro for another Boma Ye, but Brock Lesnar defied his suspension and came through the crowd, attacking Nakamura as Heyman scurried to the back. Lesnar laid out the former WWE Champion with an F-5 and then left after Heyman, as Cesaro slowly crawled over and made the cover to get the three count and retain his title to close the show.
