 THE FIRST RAW AFTER THE DRAFT!
April 29. 2002
Eric Bischoff's first Night as General Manager of RAW was a great success. The World Heavyweight Championship was defended in the first match of RAW with the first pick Mike Awesome challenging Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship, but unsuccessfully defeated him for the title. However, the Hardcore Championship did change hands after Raven took on Bam Bam Bigelow in a Hardcore Title Match with some people joining in on the 24/7 rule, but Raven won the Hardcore Title over Bam Bam Bigelow. And The Undertaker & Sting's feud came to an end when Sting defeated The Undertaker in a Steel Cage Match with help from Triple H!. |

 Brock Lesnar continued his dominant winning ways by defeating Bradshaw, after. Brock attacked Bradshaw's former partner Faarooq who was at ringside.
 Billy & Chuck regained the SMACKDOWN Tag Team Championship by defeating The Steiners & The Guerreros in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.
 Edge once again reclaimed the WWE United States Championship by defeating Kurt Angle.
 Eric Bischoff & Stephanie McMahon agreed for SMACKDOWN's Stone Cold Steve Austin to take on RAW's Sting in an interpromotional battle with Austin winning the match.
 The Atoyallah of Rock N' Rollah Y2J Chris Jericho held on to the WWE Championship by defeating The Rock in a Backlash Rematch.
 The Game & The Phenom ended Judgment Day with the World Heavyweight Title on the line.
 Undertaker had the advantage in this match and was looking to derail Triple H's reign as World Heavyweight Champion.
 The Game would eventually battle back against The Undertaker as the fight spilled to the outside.
 Taker nearly won the match with a chokeslam, but The Game was able to kick out.
 The Game then hit the pedigree on the Phenom, but Undertaker was able to kick out.
 Triple H would eventually use the Sledgehammer as The Undertaker attempted to hit the Game with a Tombstone Piledriver getting the Game disqualified.
 The fight exploded between the two until The Undertaker was eventually able to get in a Last Ride on the World Champion.
 Both Eric & Stephanie were watching Judgment Day together, as Eric declared that at the King of The Ring, Triple H & The Undertaker would face off again for the title inside Hell in A Cell as Judgment Day went off the air!

 DAVEY BOY SMITH DEAD AT THE AGE OF 39

WWE RAW Superstar Davey Boy Smith died at the age of 39 after suffering a heart attack while he was vacationing with his girlfriend Andrea Redding, who was Bruce Hart's estranged wife. Davey Boy had been released by the WWE multiple times, from 1992, 1997 & 2000. Davey Boy was set to make a comeback to the WWE in 2002 after he was announced to be drafted on the RAW Roster. Davey Boy was set to return in June of this year. |

 Before Triple H was set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship inside Hell In A Cell against The Undertaker, he ran into his former Kliq Buddies, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall & X-Pac. The 5 of them shared a hug with one another and they asked that if Triple H needed them, they'd be there.
 The Ominous Structure surrounded The Undertaker and Triple H as both men knew that they would put their bodies on the line to become World Heavyweight Champion.
 The match was as brutal as it was.
 Triple H wanted to get this brutal match over with against The Undertaker by dominating the early goings of the match.
 But Undertaker would eventually find the courage to battle back and grind Triple H's face against the cell wall many times busting the Champion open.
 But a Bloodied, Battered Game would use the sledgehammer to his advantage and strike Undertaker in the face with it.
 And like Triple H. The Undertaker too was busted open!.

 The two climbed untop of the cell together, Undertaker elbowed Triple H off the cell sending him crashing into the announce table. Triple H was slowly able to climb to the cell and both men fought untop of the cell with Triple H spearing The Undertaker off the top of the cell breaking the cell door and sending the two crashing back into the ring with the ring broke.
 Both men were able to get to their feet with Undertaker delivering a monsterous chokeslam to the Game. But Triple H kicked out.
 The Game then hit the pedigree to The Undertaker, but Undertaker was able to kick out. Both men were still exhausted and fatigued.
 The Undertaker would finally put The Game down with his signature Tombstone Piledriver and with both men down. The Deadman crawled over Triple H's body and pinned him to win the World Heavyweight Championship in the grueling Hell in A Cell Match.
 He may have been battered and bruised. But The Undertaker walked out the King of The Ring with the World Heavyweight Championship! |

McMahon came out and said that he would not fire any of the general managers, but he just simply came here with an announcement. McMahon said that many of the superstars had asked him a question years ago and that would be answered tonight, there is no question that Vincent Kennedy McMahon has an unqualified success. Many superstars of the past said to Vince, what's his secret?. And that he would share the secret with every single one in the ring. More than any quality of a successful man that he is, that one quality is Ruthless Aggression!!!!. Years Ago, he took on every promotion in North America and why he did that?. Not because he was an asshole, it was because of Ruthless Aggression, and in the court of law. He defeated The Government in a big trial of his life in 1994, and he was able to kick WCW's asses and bought the company cause of Ruthless Aggression. So which one of these RAW & SMACKDOWN Superstars has that quality and that one single ingredient, who has enough Ruthless Aggression to reach for the stars as they never had before. Who else has ruthless aggression to excel beyond their wildest dreams?. Who else has ruthless aggression to make the necessary services of mind, body and soul in order to be a success in the WWE. Vince then looked over at the WWE Hardcore Champion Jeff Hardy and said that he wanted to see if Jeff Hardy had Ruthless Aggression to face The Undertaker in a non-title Hardcore Match. Vince asked all he wanted to know who wants it. That's all he's asking, who wants to become a superstar?. Who is the next legend in the business?. Cause if they don't want it, then they can get the F out, then suddenly The Rock's music hit as he entered the ring for the first time since Judgment Day. The Rock firstly told Vince McMahon to get out of the ring, he would take this meeting from here. The Rock came out here to address the people and the superstars. The Rock said he was supposed to be on SMACKDOWN and that he wasn't supposed to return until Summerslam time. But he would be damned if he didn't came out here the first opportunity he got to speak to each and every single one of the fans and the superstars live. The Rock said that 5 years ago he had one idea to be the best this industry had ever seen and he did just that winning the WWE Championship four times. The Intercontinental Championship. The Tag Team Championship. The 1998 King of The Ring and the 1999 Royal Rumble and he will continue to work his ass off to make sure it happens. It's the same passion, the same fire that he has in his eyes, that he sees everytime he walks in the Locker Room. Everytime he steps in a RAW & SMACKDOWN Locker Room. All of the guys are here because they want to be here, everyone on SMACKDOWN & RAW. They are there cause they want to be there, they bust their ass and the fans love them for that and they love to do it. The Rock has family in his blood that have wrestled for the WWE. His Grandfather Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson, to the most electrifying man in Sports Entertainment. It's really simple, like he says if anyone doesn't wanna be in the ring in the WWE. They can take their ball and go home, but as far as The Rock's concerned. This is Home.
