The opener is typical ECW programming. Makes sense.
The Dudley storyline is getting interesting. I can see Bubba refusing to use weapons and taking some more punishment before finally shouting "D-Von... GET THE TABLES!"
Pretty good first defense for Douglas, with a good finish too. The post-match is fantastic. There's one thing that I think you do better that anyone else, and that's explaining backstories. Douglas' explanation for disliking Mikey isn't the obvious one and it probably takes some brain usage to come up with that. Still, it makes perfect sense and it's not a reach. It's logical.
Nice development in the RVD vs. Sabu feud. RVD is becoming heelish, which is a good thing, because he was a good heel.
Ah, awesome chaotic brawl following the six-man tag melee.
Holy crap, I was not expecting THAT finish. I normally have a huge problem with murder threats in wrestling because... they'll never be fulfilled, obviously... but in ECW or any other hardcore-oriented fed I give them a pass. Pretty good ending for that show.

ECW Fight the Power 01.06.1996 Philadelphia, PA
1. Rob Van Dam def. Devon Storm (7 mins) I didn't really get the angle of "Taz revealing Sabu's neck injury to RVD", when ECW were the ones showing the Chris Benoit bump from N2R 1994 on their TV show for weeks, go figure. Sabu is not here because of some injury and he's been booked to fight RVD n Dam at Hardcore Heaven in a Respect Match (the loser must offer his hand to the winner or get a big ass fine). Here, Van Dam gains more heat and momentum, beating Storm with a split leg moonsault while using a chair, mocking Sabu
2. The Bruise Brothers def. Bad Crew (w/ Damien Kane) (3 mins) As I said before, I am not a fan of the Bruise Brothers, but I can still build them up for a title shot as they have a name value at least, plus their run is not that long anyway. They face the disliked Bad Crew here and it's a way for the twins to get an easy win and keep their undefeated streak going. Double big boot and one of the Bruise Bros pins one of the Bad Crew
ANGLE: Joey Styles interviews Raven, after his hideous acts against Beulah and Kimona at the last show (Beulah was admitted into hospital for a panic attack and minor injuries, her and Dreamer have taken time off since). Raven says that he actually cared for Beulah, even when she was a little fat girl, and she broke his heart by cheating on him with his worst enemy. It pains him to see that Dreamer loves her, because he gave away the World Title to keep her safe and he'd never do that. And Kimona? She is just a who**, so he didn't hesitate for a second before hitting her, Beulah was the only one he would have spared... unless the title was in the way. He asked Stevie to find him the biggest sl** in the world, someone that slept with more men than Beulah and Kimona combined. Stevie brings to the ring the infamous Devine Brown, but Raven refuses her because her bodycount is "only" 87. Then Joey Styles asks about his title defence against Pitbull #2, who pinned Raven twice in the last year (Gangsta Paradise title change and the six men in April); Raven says that both Pitbulls are great, that is why he recruited them last year, but #2 should avoid the embarrassment of a lifetime and pledge loyalty to him again!
3. D-Von Dudley (w/ Bubba Ray Dudley, Big Dick Dudley & DW Dudley) def. Hack Myers (6 mins) D-Von has generated chaos in the Dudley family since his arrival, as he can't stand Bubba's easy going attitude, so he's forcing his half-brothers to to be deserving of the Dudley name. He has blamed Bubba for tagging with Myers, who's not part of the family (the other Dudleys were all injured), instead of reaching out to him, as he knew D-Von would change things. The match takes place and Bubba is reluctantly in D-Von's corner. Myers looks good, but D-Von hits him with a chair again and wins
4. Taz (w/ Bill Alfonso) def. Jason Helton (4 mins) Taz gets another external competitor and Joey Styles can't help but comment on the fact that he's now only being fed wrestlers that Tod Gordon doesn't want to see injured, but... Taz is a great wrestler, but fighting him is not more dangerous than fighting Sandman or Raven or Sabu (we need to establish that Taz doesn't give a fu**, but it's not like he could break bones so easily). Helton tries his best, but he's dropped on his head and has to tap out to the tazmission ANGLE: Taz mocks Sabu for being injured, saying that, if wrestling Van Dam put him in on the shelf, Tod Gordon and Paul E. better protect their little investment on him! While he talks, Taz spots UFC's Paul Varelans in the crowd and starts mocking him, saying that he might be a great fighter, but he's in his Arena and he paid a ticket to see Taz tonight! Taz keeps talking to the crowd and doesn't see Varelans jumping the barricade and putting him in a choke from behind! Security comes down and get Varelans off Taz, who is furious and tries to jump on Varelans, but he's stopped by the officials! The crowd chants to let them fight and Varelans says that Taz fu**** with the wrong guy! Tod Gordon tries to calm them down and says that Varelans agreed to wrestle at Hardcore Heaven... so he's booked against Taz! I am not a fan of Varelans or UFC in general, but this gave ECW some nice buzz at the time (and Varelans agreed to do the job)
5. ECW World Television Title: Shane Douglas (c) (w/ Brian Pillman) def. Mikey Whipwreck (13 mins)
Just like the previous show, the first part is mostly angles and short bouts, we need a good one before intermission. Mikey gets his title rematch, after Douglas' words at the last show, where he explained his hate towards Mikey. The story of Douglas not being "good enough" (in the ring or politically, as he has no allies) to win the World Title, but settling for the TV Title has potential and that is why I'm indulging on it, as usually I don't let wrestlers go back to secondary titles after they win the big one. Pillman, with crutches, is back in Douglas' corner and Mikey wants revenge on him too, for costing him the belt. Mikey does all he can, he even dives on Pillman, but Douglas hits him with the belt and with the belly to belly to retain! ANGLE: Douglas cuts a promo while Pillman returns to the ring, limping. Douglas says that Pillman is a miracle story, he survived a wreck that would have killed most people... but he's going to New York?!? (everyone knew at this point, he signed the following week). Pillman says that he'd love to stick around, he's still owed a TV Title shot, but his in ring career is probably over due to the wreck. Vince McMahon is a billionaire and is fine to pay him handsomely not to wrestle, but he wouldn't do that to Tod Gordon and Paul E., the money spent on him are wasted and it can be used to bring in the new Guerreros and Malenkos etc.. Pillman gets an applause from the crowd, but Douglas is furious! Him and Pillman made a deal because he needs allies, not wrecks, as he has so many enemies in the back (Dreamer, Sandman, Mikey, Scorpio, the Pitbulls). Douglas snatches a crutch from Pillman's arms and hits him in the head with it! Douglas returns to the back and is booed heavily. This is the end of Pillman's run (it had a purpose, at least)
Intermission
6. ECW World Tag Team Titles: The Eliminators (c) def. The Gangstas (5+5 mins)
After the brawls that took place at the previous shows, Eliminators and Gangstas finally face off and ECW did a great job at building the upcoming bout. However, it's only the first match of the series and so some mischievous booking is handy (hence why it's not the main event of the show, despite the hype). It's 5+5 minutes, meaning that they fight all the over the place for 5 minutes, before the referee finally gets all 4 of them in the ring and the bell rings. The Eliminators get beaten during the brawl, but get a dirty victory when Saturn rolls up New Jack and holds his trousers down on the mat! ANGLE: Gangstas are furious about the result and keep brawling with the Eliminators! The fight is finally broken again, which this time should be booed a bit. New Jack dares the Eliminators to face them in a Street Fight at Hardcore Heaven... they know they had them beaten when they were brawling early on! The Eliminators accept, as they never really back down from a challenge. The FBI arrive, asking for their own title shot as they have a glorious winning streak ("1-0?!" Joey Styles says), so the Eliminators push them towards the Gangstas. Jack and Mustafa destroy JT and Guido, while Saturn and Kronus leave!
7. The Sandman (w/ Missy Hyatt) def. Brian Lee (7 mins)
Speaking of streaks, Brian Lee is still undefeated in single competition as well. He is Raven's right hand against Tommy Dreamer, but lately Sandman has been a threat too, including when he defeated Stevie Richards at the last show. However, their feud is not very personal and it exists as Sandman is Dreamer's partner and wants Raven's belt. Sandman is getting a World Title shot at Hardcore Heaven and so Raven (shall he retain) wants to make sure Sandman doesn't get to that show fully intact, as Raven's foot is still damaged. This is a short brawl, but it should be somewhat fun. Lee is protected big time here, as Sandman has to hit him several time with a cane before pinning him! 8. ECW World Heavyweight Title: Raven (c) (w/ Brian Lee, Stevie Richards and Blue Meanie) def. Pitbull #2 (w/ Pitbull #1 and Francine) (3 mins)
Raven's foot was still not the greatest here and in real life he worked a 2 minute match, so I need to work around this. #2 comes down... but Shane Douglas attacks him from behind! Douglas is furious about the Pitbulls superbombing him at the last show, during the big melee, and takes his revenge here, ruining #2's biggest match ever, finishing him with a face blow with the TV Title! #1 stops Douglas, but it's too late. #2 is bleeding and still insist on fighting despite not being fit to, while #1 and Tod Gordon are begging him not to (another hint: Francine actually says nothing). #2 jumps in the ring, but he's no match for Raven despite the champion not being 100%. #2 tries his best, but Raven DDTs him after a bit and retains! ANGLE: Raven and his lackeys are in the ring and Douglas approaches them! Joey Styles can't believe this, Douglas couldn't beat Raven for the title and made so many enemies so... he's joining Raven now?! Before Douglas can say anything, though, Tod Gordon steps in the ring! (we leave this up in the air). Gordon says it's enough of this bullsh**, the Arena fans paid for a real World Title match! Douglas laughs and asks Gordon what he's gonna do about it... and Gordon books Raven & Douglas vs Pitbulls, with both titles on the line... if any of them gets pinned, he loses his belt... RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW! The Pitbulls jump on Raven and Douglas and the match starts!!!
9. ECW World Heavyweight Title and ECW World Television Title Tornado Match: The Pitbulls (w/ Francine) def. Raven (c) & Shane Douglas (c) (w/ Stevie Richards and Blue Meanie) (8 mins)
This will hopefully have a great atmosphere, as the Pitbulls were over and the heels are hated. Raven can be kept on the apron for most of the match and do a bit of stuff here and there. At one point, Douglas tries to run away and leave Raven by himself (thus keeping his TV Title safe), but Lee stops him from leaving! The heels dominate, so Douglas feels comfortable about continuing the match... but Tommy Dreamer arrives to the ring!!! (it's his first appearance since the Beulah incident, she is not there). Dreamer's expression has never been darker and Raven, tired and beaten, does the Raven pose on his knees, almost giving himself in sacrifice to pay for his sin... Dreamer opens his jacket and takes out a hammer, hitting Raven in the head!!! Douglas looks at his old foe Dreamer and holds his hands up, to say that he had nothing to do with Beulah's assault, but Dreamer DDTs him too! Stevie rolls Raven out of the ring to save the World Title (saving his ass again), so it's Douglas, alone against the Pitbulls! Superbomb and #2 covers! 1... 2... 3! Pitbull #2 is the new TV champion! ANGLE: #2 celebrates, hugged by #1 (another hint: Francine immediately grabs the belt from the timekeeper and parades with it). Gordon, Paul E., Mikey, Sandman, etc. all join the party (Dreamer has gone)! #2 thanks ECW fans and says that he could only do this thanks to #1 (Francine's face drops a bit, she expected to be thanked first, but then smiles when #2 mentions her, along with Gordon, Dreamer etc.). #2 says that, at Hardcore Heaven, he'd be honoured to defend the TV Title against a former "Eastern" TV champion in #1, as this belt is also his! The Pitbulls hug and the show ends (it's not like I'll ever have a Pitbull breakup and feud, so let's do the match here)
----
Announced for Hardcore Heaven: - Raven vs Sandman (World Title and a first time ever) - Eliminators vs Gangstas (Tag Titles, street fight) - Pitbull vs Pitbull (TV Title) - Taz vs Varelans (notice how the words "shoot fight" have never been used) - Sabu vs RVD (respect match)
Other stuff on the card: - Douglas vs Jericho - Brian Lee vs Terry Gordy - 15 men Battle Royal with a TV Title shot on the line - Dreamer and Beulah speak for the first time after Raven's assault on her - Stevie has another who** for Raven
Definitely a milestone on the way to the season finale

Who do you think you are to have a segment in the middle of the ECW ring not leading to an immediate match? I'm obviously talking about the Raven/Stevie skit, which was fine to explain Raven's actions from the last show. I'm really honest: I don't really know Paul Varelans, just like I don't know much about the beginnings on UFC. The thing I know is that it is plain dumb for a real fighter to agree to job in a one-off pro wrestling match for a small company... even if Missy Hyatt lures you into doing so. I don't know how popular he was or how impactful his appearance in ECW was, tbh. But it's fine to keep a win over UFC in the card, sure. I'm very happy with that last Pillman angle. You're using every big star that pops in ECW to actually put the place over with fair justifications. Pillman's actually my favorite so far, even above Austin. Douglas is now fully back being the idiot we hate and love to hate. Cool. That 5+5 minutes thing would actually be a nice official stipulation. The right team won, too, but I think they won't survive Hardcore Heaven... Let's be honest about it: Sandman being the first to beat Lee is a big thing that legitimizes him further before the title match at HH. Impromptu double singles title tag team match!!! ECW in a nutshell. I frankly like those matches! It's fair to have Douglas lose the TV title, since he belongs above that. Pitbull vs. Pitbull should be a fun match that's probably getting ruined by Douglas or Francine. Or both. The card for Hardcore Heaven is pretty good from top to bottom. I honestly think you'll make some decisions that will make ECW a well bit different from the real ECW. --- I just realized one thing: if Brian Lee is Fake Undertaker, why can't we call say that the American Bad Ass Undertaker was just Fake Brian Lee?

However, I made a mistake: the Battle Royal at Hardcore Heaven is for a title shot at the IWA World Title (not the ECW TV Title), as ECW/IWA will co-host a few events in Japan, on August 1996

Fun fact: I don't believe in season finales in wrestling. It's just unrealistic. It's like if you're living your life and by January 1st you must change your job and redecorate your house entirely. WrestleMania, Starrcade, Bound for Glory and Final Battle should be supercards, not season finale, imo.
As far as ECW is concerned, Hardcore Heaven and November to Remember were definitely the bigger PPVs/events. I tend to prefer HH, but I believe Heyman preferred N2R and booked it as the supercard in the later years of the promotion.

My version of N2R is definitely a season finale, even though not all feuds end on that night (especially in 1996)
It just depends, somewhat Survivor Series 2001 was more of a season finale than 'Mania X-8, for one

ECW Hardcore Heaven 22.06.1996 Philadelphia, PA
ANGLE: Raven and his cronies get to the ring and Stevie says that he finally has the most miserable, desperate and promiscuous who** for Raven! But, before Stevie can go any further, the lights go up on the eagle's nest and Kimona is there! (she is back after taking last show off to sell the DDT from Raven). Kimona says that she would have done literally anything for Raven, but he never touched her once and dumped her like she was trash, well... she is not trash and she will now show what Raven is missing! Kimona does her famous strip tease here and I found a way to make it an angle, she outright says that Raven prefers his own hand than her body! Raven leaves, furious at the fans drooling over Kimona and laughing at him
1. Chris Jericho def. Shane Douglas (10 mins) Douglas is furious about the way he lost the TV Title, he tried to ruin Pitbull #2's night and ended up losing his belt in the process. Joey Styles still wonders if anything is going on between Douglas and Raven. I think this could be a good one and open the show quite strongly. Douglas belly to bellies Jericho, but instead of pinning him, he puts Jericho on the top rope to do the move from there again. Douglas argues with the fans and Jericho pushes him off the top rope! Crossbody! 1... 2... 3! Jericho got the biggest win in his ECW career!
ANGLE: Jericho celebrates and Douglas seems ready to attack him, but breathes heavily to calm down. Douglas congratulates Jericho, saying that he was dumb enough to underestimate him, a world traveller and a Hart Dungeon student, and Jericho fooled him. Douglas says that he's looking for allies and Jericho seems to have the killer instinct, so Douglas offers him to join forces! Jericho says thanks, but no thanks... but Douglas attacks him from behind! Douglas pummels Jericho and belly to bellies him again! Douglas keeps on losing his temper and looking for allies, while Jericho got to look good in victory and by rejecting the offer
2. #1 Contender Battle Royal: Bubba Ray Dudley def. D-Von Dudley, Mikey Whipwreck, Hack Myers, Little Guido, JT Smith, DW Dudley, Axl Rotten, Stevie Richards, Devon Storm, El Puerto Ricano, The Blue Meanie, Super Nova, Salvatore Bellomo and Damien Kane (8 mins) The winner will have an IWA Title shot in August. It's only the second Battle Royal I book in 2 years, so it's something fresh and it also continues feuds and dynamics (Stevie trying to emerge on his own, the Dudleys' internal war, FBI annoying everybody, Myers against D-Von). They all eliminate FBI when JT keeps singing annoyingly. Brian Lee arrives to pick Stevie and takes him away, because "boss says you can't waste your time here, he's got a title defence tonight". D-Von and Bubba work together to eliminate Mikey, then D-Von tries to hit Bubba from behind, but Bubba bounces on the ropes and unwillingly throws D-Von out, without even touching him! Bubba celebrates with the other Dudleys, but D-Von is furious!
ANGLE: Tommy Dreamer and Beulah arrive to the ring, it's the first time they speak after the Raven incident. Beulah says that her and Raven only pretended to be together; she made clear to Raven that he was still the weird kid from summer camp. She's not proud of what she did, she wanted Tommy to be jealous because she still loved him, but Raven manipulated her into hurting Tommy for a whole year. She's happy Tommy was stubborn enough to get her, because by quitting in the match with Raven, he did show her that he cares. They kiss and Joey Styles asks Dreamer what's next for him, but Raven comes out, followed by his cronies. Dreamer immediately gets Beulah away from the ring, while he refuses to run away. Raven is furious and humiliated after the words from Beulah and Kimona. He slaps Stevie for entering that "stupid Battle Royal", instead of saving his energy for him and tells Lee that he's paying him to deal with Dreamer, but Dreamer is still breathing! Lee gets in the ring and starts brawling with Dreamer, then chokeslamming him thanks to Stevie and Meanie! Raven wants to inflict more damage, but Terry Gordy arrives and his match with Lee starts!
3. Brian Lee def. Terry Gordy (7 mins) This is not very long, as Gordy had some great long matches in All Japan, but Lee wouldn't be able to keep up with him. Plus, this match is quite fun as a mere giant vs giant fight, with Gordy debuting in ECW as an automatic babyface (he had a nice pop). I wanted to do Lee vs Dreamer for the first time here, but it makes sense for Dreamer to take these 2 shows off to deal with the Beulah situation, as it hypes his upcoming fights with Lee. Lee needs to pick a win here, but it's a dirty one: Stevie hits his superkick on Gordy, who runs into a chokeslam and Lee gets a 3 count while Stevie holds his ankles on the mat!
4. Respect Match: Rob Van Dam def. Sabu (14 mins) This is the third match between Sabu and RVD, Joey Styles talks about how Sabu won the first and drew the second, so he should technically not want anything to do with Van Dam, but the lack of respect by RVD has brought him to ask for another bout. The loser will be forced to offer his hand to the winner in sign of respect. Van Dam not only proved he can hang with Sabu, but also got under his skin like no one else before. They go to the limit, it's an open and uncertain match, but at the end Van Dam debuts the vandaminator, as Sabu was ready to use a chair and RVD just kick it in his head, then finishing him with the split leg moonsault
ANGLE: Sabu seems to have a neck injury (I am keeping this part, even though the "secrecy" was stupid). Even Paul E. comes out (second appearance since November to Remember, when Sabu returned and then Taz turned on Tod Gordon) to check on Sabu, which is a good suspension of disbelief. Medics try to put Sabu on a stretcher, but he refuses and signals that he needs to shake RVD's hand first, getting an applause by the fans for honouring the stipulation. Sabu holds his neck and extends his hand out, but RVD laughs it off and refuses his hand again,, walking away! (the match stipulation was that the loser has to offer a handshake, but not that the winner must shake it). Sabu is calmed down by Paul E. enough to get on the stretcher, but he is still shaking in anger!
Intermission
5. Taz (w/ Bill Alfonso) def. Paul Varelans (3 mins) So, this match. The words "shoot fight", "shoot rules" will never come out of my mouth as I am not Vince Russo (or, sadly, Paul Heyman in this case). I think you have 2 choices here: 1) do a normal wrestling match (it's Varelans going to ECW, not the other way around); 2) do a "multi round match" (UFC style). I am doing the first one, not only because the Arena would have probably sh**** on the round system, but also because Varelans has an excuse for losing: he's in Taz's ring, doing Taz's sport and so yeah. The real "match" was horrible; in this, Varelans at least gets to destroy Taz with punches at the beginning, but then Taz starts suplexing him despite the size difference and chokes the fu** out of him in 3 minutes
ANGLE: Taz celebrates and says that he's the real deal, no matter how big, strong, skilled and qualified they are! He will suplex them and choke them out! But, at least, Paul Varelans had the guts to stand up and fight him. Which is unlike Sabu, who is a pus** and Tod Gordon is booking people from all over the world, even the UFC, to keep him away from Sabu! Well, Sabu ended up in the hospital anyway and Taz advices him to never come back to ECW... Because, if he does, he will be sent to the hospital permanently!
6. ECW World Television Title: Pitbull #2 def. Pitbull #1 (7 mins) Pitbull vs Pitbull for the title is not a marquee match or anything, but it's a unique occasion and so why not. Francine, of course, is in a neutral corner and keeps the belt on her for the whole time, in a subtle way of saying that she will go home with it, no matter who wins the bout (another hint of what's to come). #1 vs #2 has a lot of reversal and counters, as they know each other really well, even though the fight gets a bit more tense later on, because nobody wants to lose the match here. #2 beats #1 with a powerslam, thus retaining the title fair and square
ANGLE: #1 raises #2's hand and they celebrate with Francine, but Shane Douglas storms to the ring! Douglas says that he was robbed of the belt and only in this stupid Arena a tag match can have two singles titles on the line (or unless Russo is booking, I guess), it makes him sick how the deck is always stacked against him! He is owed his title rematch and tells #2 that he will beat him, his partner and also his bit**! Tod Gordon interrupts and says that there are a lot of contenders around the TV Title, so at Heat Wave we will have the first ever four way dance! #2 vs Douglas (former champion) vs Scorpio (returning from injury after the match against Douglas) vs Jericho (he defeated Douglas tonight)!
7. ECW World Tag Team Titles Street Fight: The Eliminators (c) draw The Gangstas by RTD (6 mins) It's Eliminators vs Gangstas again and, as Bruce Prichard said, "then the bell rang". Their feud had some mystique and some kind of weird fascination, but once it got to the ring, you know there's nothing too special there and their matches were passable at best, as the didn't really click as a pairing either. The theme is the exasperation of Gangstas always getting screwed out of the title, so something happens this time too, when the Samoan Gangsta Party (on their debut) and The Bruise Brothers (who will get a title shot at the next show) attack everyone in the ring, causing another big melee, and forcing the referee to call the non-finish. The FBI also try to run in, but back down when they see how furious the Gangstas are, as they have been screwed again
ANGLE: Raven, with his lackeys, and Sandman, with Missy Hyatt, arrive to the ring for their match and finally Stevie has his surprise: the biggest who** that has ever been in ECW... Peaches! Raven lights up and looks at Stevie with some kind of approval for once, as he knows how much Tommy Dreamer was affected by him messing with Beulah... so Stevie recruited Sandman's wife, to make his life a living hell now! However, Sandman (similar to the real life show) says that he already pimped his wife to the whole roster (1994 storyline with Tommy Cairo, when him and Peaches split and Sandman was fine with her sleeping with others, as long as he got paid for it) and he doesn't care if she does anything with Raven! Actually, as Raven apparently never touched Kimona or Beulah, this is good news for his virginity! Raven is even more humiliated and upset because Sandman didn't fall for the trap, so he slaps Stevie for his "bad idea"
8. ECW World Heavyweight Title: The Sandman (w/ Missy Hyatt) def. Raven (c) (11 mins) Joey Styles is amazed by how much psychological advantage Sandman has gotten over Raven here: Raven has been humiliated by both Kimona and Beulah, then tried to fu** with Sandman revealing that Peaches is with him now, but this only got Sandman to make a joke out of Raven again. Due to hating everyone and feeling so flustered, Raven tells everyone to leave the ringside area, he will deal with Sandman by himself. Even Stevie, who saved Raven's title a bunch of times, looks quite surprised. These two had nice chemistry, this should be okay despite all the limitations. Raven will soon take some time off, due to injuries and rehab, so it feels like a good time to put the title on the most over babyface of the roster and pull the trigger on this feud, that has now become personal (and that will become even more personal soon). Raven tries the DDT on the guardrail, but Sandman traps Raven's bad foot between the rail bars! Sandman DDTs Raven and leg drops him, breaking the rail! 1... 2... 3! Sandman is the new champion!
ANGLE: Sandman and Missy celebrate with all the babyface, like #2 at the last show. Sandman offers them all a beer and spills the booze on Missy, Kimona and Beulah! Dreamer and Sandman hug, happy that somebody finally dethroned Raven. Raven, more depressed and humiliated than ever, walks by himself towards the back. Stevie tries to console him and talk to him, but Raven keeps his head down and walks off. He's never been so unwilling to fire back, which means he's giving up... or he's coming back with more chaos!

ECW Heat Wave 13.07.1996 Philadelphia, PA
1. Little Guido & JT Smith def. Bubba Ray Dudley & DW Dudley (w/ Big Dick Dudley) (5 mins) A few shows ago, the FBI defeated the dysfunctional team of Bubba and D-Von, thus starting their glorious 1-0 streak as a tag team. With D-Von busy with other stuff tonight, DW returns to the ring after his injury and helps his stepbrother against the Italians. It is a fun opener, with a few comedy spots, useful to keep heat on the FBI and continue the Dudley drama without beating Bubba. Guido hits a spinning DDT on DW and pins him, Bubba is too slow to save him
ANGLE: D-Von arrives and slaps Bubba, calling him a fat fu** that should have been quicker! Big D confronts D-Von, who decides not to attack him due to his size. D-Von is furious about Bubba screwing him to win the Battle Royal at Hardcore Heaven (even though D-Von was the one plotting against his stepbrother) and jealous about Bubba going to Japan; tonight, he will be the one to face Tarzan Goto and will show Bubba how he will need to handle business when he wrestles him at the IWA show. Plus, he wants none of his stupid brothers at ringside!
2. Taz (w/ Bill Alfonso) def. Louie Spicolli (6 mins) After beating Paul Varelans, Taz continues his series of matches against external competitors, for the same reason of the previous shows. This time, Spicolli steps up and makes his ECW debut to face the path of rage. Spicolli had a decent reputation with the fanbase, here he can get a bit of offense, but also sell big time for Taz's suplexs. At the end, the tazmission is applied and Spicolli makes great efforts by reaching the ropes with his leg, but Taz moves him towards the centre of the ring, so Spicolli taps out
3. The Gangstas def. The Samoan Gangsta Party by RTD (3 mins) Not a fan of the Samoan Gangsta Party, they were here for a cup of coffee and nothing more, but it was an useful roadblock in the long path of the Gangstas chasing the tag titles. The samoans debuted by interfering in the Gangstas' match at Hardcore Heaven, then explained on TV that they came to ECW to continue their family legacy and be a real street thug teams, while the Gangstas have gone soft. Like in reality, the match is stopped quickly as it gets bloody and the samoans cannot continue
ANGLE: New Jack and Mustafa clear the ring and Jack is not happy about what happened at the previous show, but also about the fact the Bruise Brothers are facing the Eliminators tonight, with THEIR titles on the line. Normally, they would interfere and unleash hell, but Tod Gordon asked them not to, as he promised he has a plan. They will wait and, if the plan doesn't satisfy the Gangstas, they will destroy whoever goes home with the titles! 4. ECW World Television Title Four Way Dance: Shane Douglas def. Pitbull #2 (c) (w/ Francine), Too Cold Scorpio and Chris Jericho (25 mins) Keeping the real life match, but it lasted a bit too long and so I am cutting a few minutes off it. All 3 competitors have a reason to claim the TV Title and Douglas, still without allies, is facing 3 people that hate him. Jericho is the first one to be eliminated, after Douglas low blows him and Scorpio uses the moonsault legdrop on the canadian. Scorpio and #2 work together against Douglas, who manages to small package Scorpio and hold the ropes, to eliminate him. #2 has the upper hand on Douglas and wants to superbomb him, but Francine gets on the apron and hits #2 with the belt! Douglas belly to bellies #2 on a table! 1... 2... 3! Francine has turned on the Pitbulls and Douglas got the title back!
ANGLE: Douglas and Francine celebrate, but Pitbull #1 jumps in the ring and corners Francine, demanding an explanation... but Douglas hits him with the belt and a DDT, breaking his neck (real life)! Both Pitbulls are on the mat, while Douglas and Francine kiss and leave the ring! Douglas finally found the ally he was looking for and, as promised to #2, not only he got the title back, but he took out his partner and manager too! (And no, Francine doesn't take a bump the night she turns; good god, Paul E., build it!)
Intermission
5. Non-Title Match: Tarzan Goto def. D-Von Dudley (6 mins) As mentioned above, D-Von is challenging IWA World champion Goto in a non-title match, as he's jealous and upset that his brother Bubba managed to win the battle royal at his expenses, thus winning a ticket to Japan and challenging for Goto's title in Tokyo. Joey Styles can't help but notice that no other Dudleys is at ringside, as D-Von requested, his family must fear and dislike him. Goto wins with a brainbuster
6. ECW World Tag Team Titles: The Eliminators (c) def. The Bruise Brothers (7 mins) The Eliminators defend the belts again, their challengers this time are the Bruise Brothers, still undefeated and now getting their shot. Joey Styles mentions how the Gangstas vowed not to interfere and get revenge for what happened at the last show, as something is up with Tod Gordon. However, the Samoan Gangsta Party watch from ringside. Saturn retains when he hits a legdrop from the top rope on one of the twins, while the other one discusses with the samoans
ANGLE: Bruise Bros and Samoans now start brawling. The Eliminators try to sneak out, but the Gangstas meet them at ringside and they start to brawl too! While they all brawl, Tod Gordon announces that all four teams will compete for the titles at the next Arena show, in the first ever Four Way Dance Tag Match! New Jack dives on all the opponents, so the Gangstas clear the ring and celebrate!
7. Sabu def. Mikey Whipwreck (11 mins) Sabu is not 100%, as he barely recovered from his neck issues from the previous show, after his match against RVD. He fights Mikey, who will now stay away from the belts for a bit, as he is a triple crown champion and it's time for him to be a commodity and put some people over too. Joey Styles talks about Sabu vs RVD, as a Stretcher Match has been announced for the next Arena show. In the ring, Mikey takes Sabu to the limit, but gets pinned after the usual arabian facebuster
ANGLE: Sabu and Mikey shake hands. Mikey gets a microphone and says that Sabu doesn't really speak publicly (or at all), but him and everyone else in the back are disgusted at how RVD is disrespecting a legend and ECW pioneer like Sabu! He asks Sabu to beat Van Dam, not just for himself, but also for the fans and for his peers in the back. Sabu nods and points at the sky (I basically got Mikey to hype the match on behalf of Sabu, as he won't talk and I want to keep Paul E.'s appearances very limited for now, you will then understand why)
8. Philly Street Fight: Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman & Terry Gordy (w/ Beulah and Missy Hyatt) def. Raven, Stevie Richards & Brian Lee (w/ The Blue Meanie) (13 mins) As usual, there are not many rules here like any ECW match, but street fight means pins can happen anywhere and the tornado rules are on. At the last show Raven got humiliated by Beulah and Kimona, then Sandman also took the title off him. Poor Stevie tried his best in vain, while Lee is here to take out Dreamer as promised. Dreamer is tagging with Sandman, of course, still willing to get revenge on Raven and their partner Gordy wants to avenge his loss against Lee in his debut. Kimona also interferes to try and hit Raven low, but Lee big boots her when Raven orders him to (writing Kimona out, as it's her last show). To keep building Raven's bad moment and give Gordy a win back, the babyfaces go over again when Gordy hits a backdrop suplex on Stevie and wins!
ANGLE: After the match, Sandman corners Raven with a cane and is ready to hit him... but Peaches comes down again! Sandman laughs about the fact he doesn't care about that bi... but Peaches has their son Tyler with him! Sandman's eyes widen in horror and he drops the cane from his hands, due to shaking (I think it would have been a huge detail). Tyler says the great "daddy, you're drunk, now I worship Raven" line, which gets Sandman crying on his knees for his son. Raven laughs, finally able to fu** with Sandman's life away, and drags Peaches away by her hair, while holding Tyler's hand. I think this was a great angle, but I wouldn't have done both reveals on the same night; first, Raven just brings in Peaches to harm Sandman but, when he realises he doesn't care and Raven loses the title too, then at the next show he decides to sink even lower and brings Tyler to the equation. I usually close the shows on a good tone, either good moment or good match, but as a one off the image of Sandman crying, while Missy, Dreamer and Beulah don't know what to say, would be a different and impactful way to close the event

Oh, oh, oh... slow down!!! Hardcore Heaven:How can you turn a power outage into an angle? I guess you're allowed to play that card. Btw, you didn't write it, but I assume Raven would leave twice, the second while pulling Stevie (who had been drooling) by the hair. So, the question remains, who's a bigger s**t than Beulah and Kimona combined? Jericho beating Douglas at Hardcore Heaven is huge! And a partnership between both would be huge too, but it just isn't meant to be. I think you'll debut a new Triple Threat soon, though. The part of the battle royal where Lee takes Steven out as Steven must only worry about Raven is great. Bubba's win develops the Dudleys' story, so I'm cool with it. Gordy gets a loss in his debut but he's super protected, so, that's a plus. RVD is 1-2 with Sabu, but he's definitely the winner of the feud (so far). The post-match angle leads me to believe you'll keep the Stretcher Match in your diary. Pretty nice shift in the Taz vs. Varelans thing. Taz choking a UFC fighter in 3 minutes is wild. The post-match is solid. You're keeping the first ever 4-Way Dance the same. It's not like it hurts anyone for that detail to stay untouched. Ah, Peaches, of course! It was good and it worked to legitimize the no-fs-given Sandman persona. I didn't expect Raven to lose the title, but well, it's a good timing for him to drop the belt. Not sure about the all-babyface celebration, as Sandman isn't a babyface for that long... but I guess it's ok and he's definitely way more liked than Raven. Cool show ending. Heat Wave:Spicolli is finally a bigger challenge (wrestlers only) for Taz, but not THAT big. Big threat by The Gangstas. I assume they're not going to like Gordon's plan and will unleash hell after the title match. Oh my god! I didn't expect Fran... of course I did. 'The Franchise' with Francine was better and that was Francine's best run too, so it only makes sense. #1's neck break is a plus to this story, as it got Douglas some legitimate heat IRL. A 4-Way Tag Dance is wild, specially right after the first ever singles one. The Samoans probably don't deserve a title shot after being turned into tomato sauce by The Gangstas, but hey... ECW! I assume The Gangstas will win, but... I really want Van Dam to beat Sabu, even if that means making Mikey sad, tbh. Yeah, Gordy needed a win and I'd be fine with him getting a title shot vs. Sandman. Lee booting Kimona is a huge heat missile too and it kinda gives Dreamer another motive to go after 'Prime Time'. Ah, yes! The single greatest angle in the history of this beautiful sport! It would have been way better in Tyler could act, but we can't really ask more of a 7 year old kid Let's see how that will impact Sandman's reign.
