ECW Triple Threat 07.01.1995 Philadelphia, PA
ANGLE: Too Cold Scorpio is in the ring, waiting to face Osamu Nishimura (not in the ring yet) in an international match, but the Triple Threat interrupt. They take exception with Scorpio criticizing them at November to Remember, when Shane Douglas beat him twice for the World Title. Tod Gordon tells the Triple Threat to go away, but before they do, Dean Malenko sucker punches Scorpio. Gordon says that, if Malenko really wants Scorpio, he can defend the TV title right now!
1. ECW World Television Title: Too Cold Scorpio def. Dean Malenko (c) (w/ Shane Douglas and Chris Benoit) (12 mins) I keep doing ECWesque things in the ECW rebooking, as this is something that Paul E. would indulge in. Scorp can be useful as TV champion and be entirely focused on that for the time being, while Malenko has Benoit and other feuds to be busy with. Douglas is furious, as this jeopardises the main event and it's not fair etc. Benoit and Douglas try to interfere, but Paul E's squad runs down and clear the ringside. Malenko misses a suplex and Scorpio uses the 450 splash on him to win the TV Title!
ANGLE: Osamu Nishimura gets to the ring for his match, now without an opponent, and Tully Blanchard comes out. Joey Styles says he was supposed to be a surprise for later on, but will not step in the ring because of Nishimura not able to wrestle Scorpio anymore
2. Tully Blanchard def. Osamu Nishimura (8 mins) I don't mind Nishimura and 1995 Blanchard, despite not being in his prime, was still quite decent. This can be a bit of a strange match for the crowd, as none of them is technically in their grace, but they'd appreciate a short match with some chain wrestling. Nishimura did okay in the World Title tournament last August and Blanchard was still quite well known nationally. They trade roll ups and Blanchard keeps the japanese down for the 3 count
3. JT Smith def. Al Snow (7 mins) Little undercard match, taking a bit of a breath after an intense start of the show. Snow is here only for a couple time and was on form in early 1995, but no point in him getting some momentum as he's quickly departing. JT can be given a good win, to come back from his loss against Dean Malenko at the previous show. They have a quick fight and Smith gets the pinfall after a northern light suplex
4. Baseball Bats and Dog Collars Losers Must Split Match: The Pitbulls (w/ Jason) def. The Bad Breed (10 mins) Keeping the stipulation of losers must split like in reality, but I am using both their weapons to create a unique gimmick match: not only both teams will be wearing dog collars, but they will also be provided with baseball bats. Losers must split, as Bad Breed can now dissolve and give the Pitbulls a good boost due to winning this feud. Ian hits Axl by mistake with the bat, so Pitbull #2 finishes Axl with the superbomb to win the match and the feud
ANGLE: Ian blames Axl for the loss, while Axl is upset because Ian was the one to hit him with the bat to begin with. They argue and Axl hits Ian with the bat, turning babyface
ANGLE: Stevie Richards heads to the ring with his new boss, Raven! Raven sits down in the corner as usual and doesn't say a word at first. Then he grabs the microphone and talks about being in ECW to get revenge on how cruel life has been to him. And that means Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer is in Japan now, but next month he wants him in the ECW Arena to look at him in the eyes and make him feel his pain. Joey Styles wonders what the hell Raven is talking about and what he has to do with Dreamer
5. Stevie Richards (w/ Raven) def. Chad Austin (6 mins) Richards keeps being a goof, with a renewed spot in ECW and now Raven with him. We get some comedy segments, with Richards doing silly stuff until he realises Raven is staring at him with a dead look and so Richards decides to stop being an idiot from time to tiem. Raven doesn't lift a finger and watches Richards get the better of Austin, then winning the match easily with a stevie kick
6. ECW World Tag Team Titles: The Public Enemy (c) def. Mikey Whipwreck & Paul Lauria (7 mins) The title rematch doesn't take place, as Cactus Jack is in Japan, so Mikey needs a partner here. He chooses Paul Lauria, his former partner, they used to tag together and pretty much be squashed in ECW before Mikey started getting some miraculous victories. Lauria is quite arrogant and, while the Enemies by now kind of respect Mikey, they enjoy beating poor Lauria down. Rock pins Lauria after a powerbomb, when Lauria gets the tag by himself and stops Mikey's comeback
ANGLE: The Enemies cut a promo to make sure everyone knows the truth: they never asked Benoit and Malenko to help them at Holiday Hell, against Sabu and Tazmaniac. Actually, they are upset that the match ended when Benoit powerbombed Sabu through a table, as they were looking forward to win it in a different way. Paul E. proposes them to give his team a rematch at the next Arena show, but in a "Double Tables" match, a tables elimination match and the Enemies accept the offer
7. The Sandman (w/ Woman) def. Hack Myers (8 mins) Another wrestler whose plan were affected by Cactus Jack's absence is Sandman, as he wants revenge on Cactus for ruining his feud with Dreamer and getting involved, costing him the match and the use of the singapore cane at Holiday Hell. Sandman is on a mission to get more victories, but Myers would still look good by putting him in trouble. At last, Sandman uses the cane a few times and then pins Myers
ANGLE: a furious Woman wants Sandman to keep beating on Myers, but he's helped out of the ring. Sandman cuts a promo on Cactus, daring him to step up in the ring 1 on 1 against him at the next show, but this time he will have the cane!
8. Shane Douglas, Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko def. Sabu, The Tazmaniac & 911 (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) (15 mins) While this surely is not the match of the year, I think they missed the boat here as this would have sold a lot of VHS. The Benoit/Malenko vs Sabu/Tazmaniac feud continues here, while Douglas gets more involved in it and 911 brings the support he can. The match, of course, features the angry Triple Threat dominating it and dictating the pace on Sabu, taking advantage of his "broken neck", also worsened by Benoit's powerbomb from Holiday Hell. 911 stays out of the ring, for 2 reasons: because he sucks and because the crowd would chant so loud for his hot tag. The hot tag happens and all 3 members of the Triple Threat get chokeslammed, however Benoit (the legal man) is under the rope and can't get pinned. The match continues and Douglas hits 911 in the back with the World Title, stopping him, while in the ring Benoit hits another stiff powerbomb on Sabu, pinning him also thanks to Malenko holding Sabu's ankles down

These ECW shows are so much bigger than the previous WWF and WCW ones, because you're booking like Paul booked (and every indie, tbh), developing stories mostly in the bigger shows, rather than in smaller/arena/TV shows. Cool aspect. It fits.
Good move to have Scorpio winning the TV title following a good ECW-like angle and match. I agree: Malenko can be a better hand for Douglas if he's not holding any singles gold himself.
Being chained by the neck to someone and not able to evade their baseball bat strikes must be a ridiculously anxious feeling. YES! We're close to see Axl pack Ian for good so he can start his "could-be-good-but-it's-awfully-bad-because-the-promoter-is-a-douchebag" fed.
I wonder if you're keeping the Summer Camp backstory to Dreamer and Raven's feud or you're creating something different. I like the backstory, myself, but when one thinks about it, it's strange that we're supposed to cheer for the jock. I also wonder if Stevie's going to have the same role he had or if he's turning on Raven.
That tag match shows how meaningless can actually be meaningful. Good thing. A nice tag match is also set. I don't think Sabu and Tazmaniac will win the gold, but it should be good and you'll probably protect them somehow.
Normal development in the Sandman/Cactus feud while Cactus is not present. Meyers is, by now, somewhat of a tough jobber to the stars.
Nice main event, which was everything it needed to be. Not more. Certainly not less.
It was a good build-up show for something bigger. Plus, we just saw the debut of Raven!

ECW Double Tables 04.02.1995 Philadelphia, PA
1. Mikey Whipwreck def. Paul Lauria (6 mins) Their team reunion didn't last long, as they lost to the Public Enemy and then Lauria turned on Mikey. Mikey is the clear babyface, as Lauria is upset at his former "fellow loser" finally getting success and gold in ECW, hence their bout is signed. The match itself kind of sucked, so I am keeping it short and Lauria is pretty much gone after putting Mikey over with a stunner. This is also significant for being the first match that Mikey wins with an actual move
2. Chris Benoit def. Al Snow (15 mins) This was on the card and ruled, it's such an underrated match in 1995 ECW. Snow will not be back anytime soon as he's going to WWF for a bit, but I am still keeping this bout as it made the show so much better. Snow gets to shine a bit, but his puts over the crippling nature of Benoit, who powerbombs him twice and then wins the match with his usual diving headbutt
3. The Pitbulls (w/ Jason) def. The Young Dragons (4 mins) The Pitbulls won the feud against the Bad Breed and now want a title shot, as Jason keeps claiming that they are the best team in ECW. A squash here is handy, as it keeps the Pitbulls hot and helps them transitioning from a show to the next one. The Dragons are squashed and #1 gets the pinfall with the superbomb
4. The Sandman (w/ Woman) def. Cactus Jack (11 mins) Sandman and Cactus go head to head, after Cactus helped Tommy Dreamer in his Sandman feud and Sandman didn't appreciate that. This is a first time ever here and actually the match wasn't that bad. Sandman's heel gimmick in 1995 is a perfect heel hardcore bully, but of course Cactus is even more hardcore than he is and he's not scared. Woman interferes with the singapore cane and Sandman picks up the win (upset) with a legdrop
ANGLE: Cactus furiously stops the celebrations and gets his heat back by attacking Sandman with the cane, then he finishes him with the cactus elbow and celebrates, while Woman looks very annoyed and Mikey Whipwreck cheers on his friend Cactus. Not only this angle continues the feud, but Sandman will skip the next show due to a concussion, so the angle here gives Cactus some heat back and a reason why Sandman won't be wrestling at the next Arena show
5. Tommy Dreamer def. Stevie Richards (w/ Raven) (8 mins)
Dreamer finally returns from Japan, to confront Raven after his cryptic words from the month before. Raven looks at Dreamer with hate and just stands in the corner, while Dreamer fights his lackey Richards. Raven commands Richards to win and to stop being a goof against Dreamer. However, Dreamer has the upper hand on Richards, also because Raven simply watches him winning with the DDT
ANGLE: Dreamer now wants Raven in the ring, but Raven walks away. Dreamer says that, just like when they were kids, Raven is being a wuss
6. Hack Myers def. Ian Rotten (6 mins) Rotten is now a heel and fights this as his first match a singles wrestler, after his split from Axl, due to their loss against the Pitbulls from the previous month. Ian is not on a good mood and the crowd quickly makes him even more miserable, when they support Myers instead of him. Axl Rotten gets to ringside to take the baseball bat away, so his brother can't use it, thus letting Myers win the match with a lariat
7. ECW World Heavyweight Title Match: Shane Douglas (c) def. Tully Blanchard (12 mins) Blachards gets rewarded for his victory from the previous month, as he gets a title shot here. Douglas can drop a line about him wanting to beat a former Ric Flair disciple, but I never understood the constant digs at the Naitch when they were never going to work a program. They had a good match at this show anyway and, as the first World champion, Douglas has that "international champion" vibe, so I don't mind feeding him outsiders. Douglas retains with the belly to belly suplex
8. ECW World Tag Team Titles Double Tables Match: Sabu & The Tazmaniac (w/ 911 and Paul E. Dangerously) def. The Public Enemy (c) (14 mins) This was the actual main event and, while not a great match or anything, a really nice ECW spectacle for what it was. Paul E. history with Public Enemy makes this even more meaningful, because this was treated like a main event feud and, if you noticed, I am keeping it that way, because it drew more than some of Douglas' defences. Chris Benoit tries to interfere, but 911 stops him. Sabu gets some revenge when he uses a flying legdrop on Rock, breaking a table for the title change
ANGLE: Benoit hits the awesome powerbomb on Sabu, like he did at the real show, but the babyfaces clear the ring. Paul E. celebrates with his guys and says that he knows both Public Enemy (they get a title rematch) and Triple Threat (they defeated them at the last show) will want their heads, so he won't hesitate to ask Tod Gordon to book the match: at the next Arena show, Sabu & Taz vs Benoit & Malenko vs Public Enemy in the first ever three way dance tag match!

You're making Mikey, bud! In the actual event he still won with a flash pin, and that was part of the charm, but I think you have something else planned to keep Mikey as the underdog he very much was before his rise.
Snow was always overlooked. He was a jack and didn't shine as some other non-hardcore ECW originals did, but he was a solid hand for any midcard/undercard. The right man won, tho.
It's probably for the better that Jason The Terrible is not on the card. The Pitbulls maintain their rise, obviously.
The Sandman beating Cactus solidifies him hugely at this point. Cactus will still stay for a year, so you have a lot of time to give him some payback and maybe a title reign?
So we got to see a little bit of Raven vs. Dreamer's background unveiled. Will you go further back than Paul E. did? Maybe the teenage years won't be a factor here, but childhood will?
Solid booking on the Meyers vs. Ian match.
I think Douglas' constant digs at Flair were just used as a "uuuuh, we're so edgy that our World Champion takes verbal stabs at the 'corporate' champions" type of move. Sure, Douglas was a heel, but it was ECW's heel and the fans loved him either way, so... it was really the least interesting part of his character, but even that was entertaining at times. Beating Blanchard was the closest he'd ever get from beating Flair, though. In ECW, that is!
I'm one of those that forgets that Sabu and Tazmaniac were once tag team champions. I thought you'd not make it happen in your rewriting, tbh, but I'm ok with that and you actually went and booked a great first title defense that... I'm sure... will be their only. I'm betting Public Enemy regain the belts, rather than Benoit and Malenko, tho.

Moore may have given one of the best takes on Al Snow I've seen.
He's not main event level talent and in some ways his utility value hurt his ability to progess to whatever level he could have theoretically reached but you have to give him credit as to how solid a worker he was and every good company needs their Al Snow's.

ECW Three Way Dance 25.02.1995 Philadelphia, PA
1. Mikey Whipwreck def. Stevie Richards (w/ Raven) (10 mins) This is one of the few "modern openers" that I have booked so far. Mikey is facing Richards, with Raven in his lackey's corner and judging his potential. Richards, once again, is determined to prove something to Raven and is only a bit more serious here, dominating thanks to being bigger than Mikey. However, Richards messes around again and Mikey wins with a roll up
ANGLE: Raven slaps the hell out of Richards and then orders him to attack Mikey, which Richards does from behind. Tommy Dreamer arrives for the save and Richards retreats. Dreamer goes face to face with Raven, finally, daring him to take the first shot but Raven just stands there, infuriating Dreamer, until they are separated. This is copy and paste of their angle from the same show, which ruled. Still no contact between them and Joey Styles still wonders why they hate each other so much
2. Tommy Dreamer def. Paul Lauria (5 mins) Lauria was one of the wrestlers that intervened for the pull apart, stirring some shit and cheering on Raven to keep beating on his former friend Whipwreck. Once the brawl ends, Dreamer attacks Lauria to start their scheduled match. This is to put over the more serious and driven side of Dreamer, who easily wins with a DDT
3. ECW World Television Title: Too Cold Scorpio (c) def. Hector Guerrero (11 mins) This was on the original show. A good match as a standalone bout, but the fact Scorpio later on faced Eddie makes this even more interesting. Nothing to change here from the original script, Hector comes in as an external challenger for Scorpio and they have a tight match. Scorpio wins with the 450 splash
ANGLE: Scorpio cuts a promo, saying that Dean Malenko has been moaning about the way he lost the TV Title, but doesn't have the guts to do anything about it. Tod Gordon steps in and says Malenko is in the three way dance tonight, but he will get his TV Title rematch at the next Arena show
4. Cactus Jack def. DC Drake (w/ The Sandman and Woman) (4 mins) Just like in reality, Sandman and Woman introduce their one night only ally: DC Drake and the crowd went... mild. Anyway, this is a complete squash while the heels watch. Cactus wins with the cactus elbow, also using a chair to make a bigger impact
ANGLE: Cactus dares Sandman to step in the ring with him, Sandman might have a concussion, but he finished a match with a broken ear! Woman says that their surprise for Cactus wasn't DC Drake, but... this one, rather. Like in reality (but with a less cartoonish reveal), Terry Funk comes from the crowd and attacks his student Cactus. Sandman helps and they make Cactus bleed. Funk reluctantly looks at Sandman, showing that they're not friends or anything, it's just that they both have a problem with Cactus. Mikey (Cactus' tag partner) runs in, but gets destroyed. Tommy Dreamer (Funk's other student) and Shane Douglas (Cactus' friend for 10 years), [looking at each other sideways due to their past feud], also come out and the heels retreat. Douglas seems mostly worried about Cactus, while Dreamer is so disappointed at Funk and helps Mikey back on his feet too. This was a huge angle on the real show, also with so many different dynamics, it's so big that I can only put it before intermission
5. The Pitbulls (w/ Jason) def. Chad Austin & Joel Hartgood (3 mins) Another squash for the Pitbulls, who continue to look dominant and extra aggressive. Jason does commentary and says that he can't wait for the Tag Titles feud to settle, so his guys can finally take the belts for themselves. #2 pins Austin after the superbomb
ANGLE: Jason challenges Sabu and Tazmaniac, saying that not only the Pitbulls are the better team, but he's the best manager. Paul E. pops out and says that he's so not. His boys are ready for the main event, but 911 has the night off. 911 goes towards the ring, but Pitbulls and Jason run away just on time. 911 chokeslams the poor cameraman, just for fun
6. Hack Myers def. Axl Rotten (8 mins) At Double Tables, Axl saved Myers from his brother's baseball bat and kind of helped him winning the match. Now they square off, they're both babyfaces but they still go at it, due to the nature of their ring styles. This time, Ian comes to ringside to get revenge on his brother and uses the bat on him while the referee is distracted, so Myers wins the match with the lariat
ANGLE: Ian and Axl brawl all over the arena
7. ECW World Heavyweight Title: Shane Douglas (c) def. Marty Jannetty (13 mins) Woman is at ringside for this. Scouting Douglas? A measure of revenge, after he show care for Cactus Jack? Are they in cohoots? Who knows. She just sits there while Douglas and Jannetty wrestle, in another "international" defence, not in the sense that Jannetty is not American, but meaning he's not an ECW regular. This was decent, but didn't need 18 minutes. Douglas keeps his usual approach and uses a chair to help himself beat Jannetty with a belly to belly suplex, staring at Woman.
ANGLE: Douglas leaves the area, while Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko arrive for the main event. They seem puzzled at Douglas and Woman giving each other stares, but Douglas tells them to bring the belts home and not to worry
8. ECW World Tag Team Titles Three Way Dance: Chris Benoit & Dean Malenko def. Sabu & The Tazmaniac (c) (w/ 911 and Paul E. Dangerously) and The Public Enemy (20 mins) As per three way dance rules, there will be 2 falls, in the spirit of the fact that champions can only lose titles if beaten. The three team feud has been a thing for months now and the match got hyped big time in ECW, like it was a huge deal. In reality, Sabu missed the show, so I'm just being a smartass and doing it when he's still in the company. Sabu and Taz as champions will be a good detail in the future, when they will feud, so this reign has been short but meaningful. Rock pins Tazmaniac after the drive-by, so we will have new champions for sure. The Enemies are full blown babyfaces, especially in this match here, the crowd would be rooting for them. However, Benoit and Malenko powerbomb Grunge on a table where Rock is laying and they pin Rock to win the titles

By "modern openers" you mean opening the card with a better opener than most of the rest of the undercard instead of the undercard being like a ladder in which the matches have progressively better quality. Right? The match story is good and the post-match is even better. I think that angle is commonly overlooked, but it's great, as it's basically Raven, the grown-up strange kid, asking Dreamer, the grown-up bully, to hit him. Again presumably.
I noticed that your Three Way Dance came earlier than IRL, as it was Return of the Funker which took place on February. Scorpio was a big deal and you know that, as you're trying to pull the best matches possible out of him for as long as you have him. My guess is Malenko regains the TV title soon.
I really don't remember Funk's return or Douglas helping Cactus, but it creates a really interesting dynamic. At least for me, who thinks heels and faces make no sense for the most part.
Honestly: didn't like The Pitbulls running away from 911. Yeah, 911 was built as a beast, but so were The Pitbulls, even if their manager was a chickenshit heel. It's not a big deal, though.
Disappointing to see Meyers capitalizing on an attack against the man who saved him in the prior show. Poor Axl.
Jannetty is a decent challenger. One-time, sure, but he was credible enough to put Douglas over as the best in the Indies, which he was. Will The Franchise resist Woman?
I was not expecting Taz and Sabu to be the ones to fall first in the main event, as I thought The Public Enemy would really be just "a distraction" in this match. The right team won, though, and I guess you can use Taz and Sabu's early elimination to really set their upcoming feud up.

ECW Return of the Funker 18.03.1995 Philadelphia, PA
1. The Pitbulls (w/ Jason) def. Tony Stetson & Johnny Hotbody (4 mins) Another challenge for the Pitbulls, who have been on an impressive winning streak. This time, they face the former "Eastern" Tag Champion, Stetson and Hotbody. No point in bringing them in as Raven's bodyguards for 2 shows only. The Pitbulls dominate again and #1 pins Stetson after the superbomb
2. ECW World Television Title: 2 Cold Scorpio (c) def. Dean Malenko (13 mins) Easily the best match of the night and it closes the issue between the two, at least for now. Malenko is also the Tag Team Champions with Benoit, after last month's show. This is a rematch of their impromptu bout from January, so Malenko claims that this time, with the adequate preparation, the result will be different. And he actually wrestles really well, but Scorpio retains with a roll up
ANGLE: As Jason is facing 911 later on, he brings in Ron Simmons as his personal bodyguard for the night. Simmons turns heel, cutting a promo on how ECW fans cheer for misfits, while he's an all American, a former World Champion etc.
3. Ron Simmons (w/ Jason) def. Hack Myers (5 mins) Simmons gets some heat back here on Myers, who recently defeated both the Rotten brothers in singles matches. Myers gets the fans' cheers, which kind of proves Simmons point. This is a short match, but it serves its purpose. Myers stops Jason's run in, but Simmons uses the powerslam to pin Myers
4. #1 Contender Street Fight Match: The Public Enemy def. Sabu & The Tazmaniac (w/ 911 and Paul E. Dangerously) (10 mins) The winners will face Benoit and Malenko at the next Arena show. The three team feud has created a lot of chaos and now they both face off as babyfaces, knowing there is only one title shot available. With the Enemies now babyfaces, the fans should be pretty much equally split. Sabu attempts a legdrop on Grunge, but he ducks and so Sabu hits Tazmaniac. Rock hits the drive by and pins Sabu to win
ANGLE: Tazmaniac and Sabu go face to face again and there seem to be a lot of tension. The Enemies try to talk to them, but they won't listen, so the Enemies leave. Paul E. and 911 get in the middle. Paul E. begs Tazmaniac to stand back, to do it for him and Tazmaniac kind of reluctantly backs off. Sabu throws a towel on the floor and walks away (I assume everyone knows what's happening here, so let's plant the seeds now)
5. Best Of Five Series #1: Ian Rotten def. Axl Rotten (7 mins) So, Tod Gordon announced a Best of Five Series between the former Bad Breed. The winner of the series will get a title shot to the TV Title, while the loser will leave ECW. I didn't mind their undercard series at this time (the barbed wire match was actually cool), plus it helps giving a push to the one that ends up staying. Ian wins using a piledriver on Axl
6. Raven & Stevie Richards def. Tommy Dreamer & Mikey Whipwreck (11 mins) Raven makes his ECW in ring debut, tagging with Richards, who seems so excited about this. Dreamer is his opponent and Mikey is on his side (Cactus is busy and Funk just turned heel). By now, vignettes have told the fans what's the reasons Raven and Dreamer hate each other, knowing how much it worked I'd be a fool to twist them. Here, anyway, Raven mostly stays on the apron and he keeps on keeping away from the frustrated Dreamer. Stevie hits a stevie rick on Mikey and pins him to win
7. 911 def. Jason (w/ Ron Simmons) (2 mins) Paul E. is not at ringside with 911, which is kind of a strange deal, but this puts over the fact that probably Paul E. is still dealing with the catastrophic argument between Sabu and the Tazmaniac. This match is to write Jason off TV, so you know what happens: 3 chokeslams and 911 pins him
ANGLE: Simmons teases getting in the ring to face off 911, but he walks away and gets booed. 911 chokeslams Jason again just to make the crowd happy
8. Terry Funk & The Sandman (w/ Woman) def. Shane Douglas & Cactus Jack (12 mins) So, the match was made after what happened the previous month. Funk says he turned on Cactus because he's not good enough, he wanted to pass him to torch after their match in 1994, but he had to come back because he's disappointing him; on the other hand, he doesn't really like Sandman, but he is the real hardcore one (we put over the fact Funk he's not a real heel, he's just harsh on Cactus). So, in a nutshell: Funk doesn't care for Sandman but believes he's hardcore; Funk hates Douglas; Funk is disappointed in Cactus; Sandman is feuding with Cactus; Sandman and Douglas have a weird relationship, as Woman seems interested in Douglas; Douglas and Cactus are friends and join up against common enemies, despite being a heel and a babyface. So, the match happens. Funk and Cactus fight furiously, while Woman throws a cane in the ring, in a quite neutral corner. Sandman catches it first and hits Douglas with it, winning the match by pinning the champion (it's the first pinfall Douglas takes in a long time, so it should be a big deal)
ANGLE: Funk tries to use a branding iron to torture Cactus, but Mikey runs for the save and by a miracle helps Cactus avoiding the fire. Mikey amuses Sandman and Woman, but the heels walk away victoriously and sparing Mikey. Douglas seemed too distracted by Woman, but is not happy about how the match ended. Douglas cuts a promo, saying he knows Sandman will probably have a title shot now, so he's fine to give it to him at the next Arena show. Cactus adds that, if Funk wants to brand him, he challenges him to a Branding Iron Match too!
