Scott moving on makes me sad, but a lot of that is because I'm more used to actual 2001 "Big Poppa Pump". This is 2004. So letting him move on is absolutely the right move. He is likely getting either really close to or is in some bad time decline.

Excellent shows as always. Sadly I missed the latest bet, and it's sad to see this coming to an end, as I still like this little universe a lot, specially as it reaches the mid 2000s. Looking forward to the next show.

August 2004, Week 3August 16th, 2004Worldwide taping: Made in Italy defeated Kid Mikaze and Dan Eckos, Teddy Hart defeated Shaun Ricker and TJ Wilson defeated Jack Evans. Attendance: 17,950Show Notes: -Bobby Heenan was in fine form before the show, doing a series of hilarious impressions of everyone from my dad Stu to Vince that had the boys doubled over with laughter.
-Chavo didn’t seem too happy about being asked to take the fall, but Hiroshi Tanahashi shot him a look that shut him up. Tanahashi seems to be able to get people in line. August 21st, 2004Grand Prix A Block Current Standings:Akira Hokuto: 5 pts (2-0-1) Nattie Neidhart: 5 pts (2-0-1) Wesna Busic: 4 pts (2-1) Alexis Laree: 4 pts (2-1) Madison Eagles: 0 pts (0-3) Toshiyo Yamada: 0 pts (0-3) Upcoming WCW PPV Event(s): News Updates:I signed Sting to a 2 year contract extension. It just wouldn’t be WCW without him, so I’m glad he’s staying around. Bob Orton’s staying on too as a road agent. Elsewhere in the wrestling world:-Hawk announced his retirement. I would have liked to give the Road Warriors one last spot in the Crockett Cup, but Vince snapping up Animal to a full time deal obviously prevented that from happening. -“Dr. Death” Steve Williams also retired from active wrestling. I never saw him at his best, but I hear he was great in Japan. -My old foe Bob Backlund retired too. The I Quit match at Wrestlemania might have been garbage, but I think he made a great crazy heel anyway. Ahead of his time. -Dave Sullivan retired. I have nothing to say. Wait, didn’t he used to bring a rabbit to the ring with him or something? -Chris Benoit won a triple threat against Big Show and defending champion Kane to win the ECW World title in the main event of Hardcore TV on August 17th. It’s his second run with the title. -NOAH’s Vengeance of Pride PPV on August 20th saw Jun Akiyama retain the GHC Heavyweight title over Takeshi Morishima in the semi main event, and Misawa and Ogawa beat Chris Candido and Kensuke Sasaki in the main. Both got identical 90% ratings from the sheets, making them co-MOTN. The show overall got an 86, which is their worst showing on a major show in several months.
Scott moving on makes me sad, but a lot of that is because I'm more used to actual 2001 "Big Poppa Pump". This is 2004. So letting him move on is absolutely the right move. He is likely getting either really close to or is in some bad time decline. I don’t remember exactly where he stood with time decline, but he’s certainly not getting any younger. Thinking on it now I kind of wish I would have made a serious play to bring him in to New Japan, but too late for that. I could’ve used his star quality there, because WWE is going to destroy me in national battles. Excellent shows as always. Sadly I missed the latest bet, and it's sad to see this coming to an end, as I still like this little universe a lot, specially as it reaches the mid 2000s. Looking forward to the next show. There's definitely a lot of lore built in here. It would be cool to continue it, but I have serious doubts about the viability of turning this savegame into a database that would not only run in a completely new game, but run well.

Matt Hardy, AJ Styles, Kevin Steen and Paul London vs. SalvationI feel like we're heading to where the rest of Salvation is doing ok, causing them to kick out Unnatural

El Generico vs. Jushin Liger (©) for the Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Unnatural vs. King Corino in a World title #1 contender’s match Something tells me you'll hold off on Punk/Jericho just a little bit longer.

Official Fan Scorecard:
Matt Hardy, AJ Styles, Kevin Steen and Paul London vs. Salvation - With some dissension being sown in Salvation I think they take an L here.
Blue Crush vs. The Dangerous Alliance (©) for the World Tag Team Championship - A good match, but I don’t see the DA losing here.
Bryan Danielson vs. Ken Shamrock (©) for the World Television Championship - Big Uncle Ken gets a win against Danielson thanks to Regal shenanigans.
El Generico vs. Jushin Liger (©) for the Unified Junior Heavyweight Championship - Another card that I don’t see Liger losing in.
Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Unnatural vs. King Corino in a World title #1 contender’s match - Jericho feels like the next big challenge for Punk so, let’s go with him.
Goldberg vs. ??? - Goldberg’s got to look strong.
TAKA vs. Steven Regal (©) for the United States Heavyweight Championship
Crockett Cup Finals: Shinsuke Nakamura and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. The Jung Dragons - It’s got to be the Jung Dragons!
Koji Kanemoto vs. CM Punk (©)for the World Heavyweight Championship - Punk vs Jericho is a money match and Kanemoto is popular I. Japan but won’t exactly play well in America.
What will be match of the night? Punk/Kanemoto
How many championships will change hands? (the Crockett Cup does NOT count) - 0
Who will answer Goldberg’s open challenge? (Hint: it’s someone who is not currently signed to WCW, at least as far as has been announced, but it won’t be their first appearance in this dynasty.) Going for an out of left field pick, Chris Candido
