Event: AJPW World's Strongest Tag Determination League - Day 9Date: Wedsenday, December, Week 4, 1998Attendance: 16,500 in the Nippon Budokan (NO VACANCY!!!)Show Rating: 95 A*
The show starts off as per usual with the NTV sports march blasting
In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Gedo and Jado defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri and Hayabusa in 9:26 when Gedo defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri by pinfall. In their return match, Gedo and Jado pick up their first win in the Tag League, a cathartic win for sure, but a win none of the less.
Rating: 79 B
Misawa looked at Takada and pointed at him, he then grabs a mic and puts it simply."Takada, your first singles match was beating me, and on the last day of this tour, I want to avenge that, no Sternness, just you and me 1 on 1. What do you say?"
Takada giggles and nods, walking out with Omori as we now have the first match set for the final day of the tour!!!Rating: 89 A
In an exceptional match, Holy Demon Army defeated Takeshi Morishima and Yoshihiro Takayama in 18:57 when Akira Taue defeated Takeshi Morishima by pinfall with a Nodowa Otoshi.
Takeshi Morishima was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.
Both teams shake hands as Kawada and Taue officially move on in the tournament, but Steve Williams steps into the ring, looking at Kawada and Taue.
"Ya'll, I know I've been saying it a lot, that I myself earned a shot at the World Tag Team Championship, Kawada and Taue, I know you're going onto the finals now, but I want you to think about this, if you win the tournament, you get to pick your challenger, so think about saying me and Takayama or me and Morishima, whichever works for ya'."
Kawada would nod to Taue then nod to Williams as he shakes hands with him, making it a done deal, if they win the Tag League, Williams will be the challenger for the World Tag Team Championship.
Rating: 88 B+
In a superb match, Minoru Suzuki and Kazushi Sakuraba defeated Vader and Johnny Ace in 18:12 when Minoru Suzuki defeated Johnny Ace by pinfall with a Gotch-Style Piledriver.
In terms of in-ring work, Minoru Suzuki was head and shoulders above everyone else.
A pissed off Suzuki and Sakuraba beat down a slightly gassed out Vader and Ace as they eliminated them from the tournament, meaning that the main event decides the 2nd winner of the Tag League...
Rating: 90 A

Event: AJPW World's Strongest Tag Determination League - Day 10Date: Saturday, December, Week 4, 1998Attendance: 16,500 in the Nippon Budokan (NO VACANCY!!!)Show Rating: 100 A*
The show starts off as per usual with the NTV sports march blasting
The Show Starts off with Stan Hansen entering the arena to a big ovation as he returns to AJPW after Vader's attack on him.
He has a new opponent here tonight.
The crowd is excited for the new debutee as the last few of these surprises have turned into big stars and given us great matches.
Soon enough, a theme that NJPW fans know very well blast throughout the Budokan.
It's Osamu Nishimura!!! He's here in AJPW to face Stan Hansen, he waves to the crowd and gets to the ring, waiting for his first AJPW match to begin!!!
In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Osamu Nishimura defeated Stan Hansen in 11:17 by submission with a Boston Crab.
Rating: 81 B Osamu wins his AJPW debut as Stan Hansen passes out from the Boston Crab outright refusing to tap in his return!!!
Osamu releases him once the match is stopped and looks over at Stan as Stan sits up.
Stan reaches his hand out to Nishimura in a surprise moment and shakes it before raising his hand as Nishimura leaves.
Stan grabs a mic and looks around the arena, sighing.
"Ya know, for months now I haven't been able to win much of anything, I made Vader turn on me by losing so much that he got Johnny Ace as a tag partner and almost won Tag League, and I've been out from his powerbomb. All Japan, you have been my home for over a decade, you've given me my biggest moments, matches, friends, and everything else. This promotions means so much to me, that I can't describe it. So that is why I have to announce something...
MISAWA, GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!!!"
Misawa walks down to the ring as the crowd is confused slightly, but Misawa steps in and looks at Hansen before Hansen begins to speak again.
"Misawa, when you beat me in 1992, it led to you becoming the top guy in AJPW, and Misawa, I am now 49 years old, I keep losing...But Misawa, I know deep down in my heart that I can beat you one more time, that I can bring you down one last time like I done before that win in 1992, so Misawa, if I have to point it out, I want to face you. In my retirement match."
Misawa, after asking for a bit of a translation looks around and takes the mic, looking at Hansen.
"Hansen-San, I would be honored to be the last man you face in a wrestling ring, I accept!"
Misawa and Hansen shake hands, with the stage being set for Stan Hansen's retirement!!!
In a decent match, Masanobu Fuchi and Masao Inoue defeated Jinsei Shinzaki and Maunakea Mossman in 9:30 when Masanobu Fuchi defeated Maunakea Mossman by pinfall.
Rating: 69 C+
In a good match, Vader and Johnny Ace defeated Owen Hart and Tamon Honda in 11:59 when Vader defeated Owen Hart by pinfall with a Power Bomb.
Throughout the match, Vader and Owen seemed to be a lot more vicious to each other, maybe it's because of their WWF past or anything else, but it was truly a brawl whenever they fought, and Vader's powerbomb was truly nasty.
Rating: 78 B
After the match, Suzuki, Sakuraba, and Maeda stand over the 3 men they defeated as Sakuraba hands Suzuki a mic.
"Oh Akiyama, Mr, Triple Crown Champion, the leader of Sternness, you seem to be losing a lot to my trio here, you seem to be losing a lot when it matters such as last night against Kobashi.
Jun, you have to face me in 1 months time and I know you're worried and scared.
But Jun, I have an idea...
first off, I want you to know that I am not going to face you with Sternness at ringside, so they are NOT going to be anywhere near this match.
So with that in mind Jun, I want you in something a bit more dangerous.
I want you...
IN A NO DQ MATCH!!!"
The crowd gasp and Jun looks and giggles with a nod as he rolls out and takes his Triple Crown, giggling to himself as he walks out.
In an exceptional match, Nobuhiko Takada defeated Mitsuharu Misawa in 25:43 by stoppage when Mitsuharu Misawa could not continue.
Takada, unlike in their first match, used a steel chair on Misawa when Wada was looking away and was able to pass him out in the ring with a headlock!!!
