The show starts off as per usual with the NTV sports march blasting
In a decent match, Sternness (Jun Akiyama, Owen Hart and Tamon Honda) defeated Maunakea Mossman, Jinsei Shinzaki and Mighty Inoue in 14:23 when Jun Akiyama defeated Maunakea Mossman by pinfall with an Exploder.
The other team had no chance and Sternness basically toyed with them and beat them handily.

In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Takeshi Morishima and Yoshihiro Takayama defeated Nobuhiko Takada and Takao Omori in 12:40 when Yoshihiro Takayama defeated Nobuhiko Takada by pinfall with a Running High Knee Strike.
Takao Omori was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance.

In a good match, Vader and Johnny Ace defeated Hayabusa and Yoshihiro Tajiri in 16:36 when Vader defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri by pinfall with a Power Bomb.
With this win, Vader and Johnny Ace firmly plant themselves in the lead of the tag league for the time being. That could change though with a Sakuraba and Suzuki win.

In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Kenta Kobashi and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi drew with Mitsuharu Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa in 30:00 when the time limit expired.
With this lose, Misawa and Ogawa are suddenly eliminated from the tournament, as the highest amount of points they could earn now would be 12, and Vader and Ace have earned 11...
Misawa and Kobashi are able to stagger up and shake hands as Kobashi and Kikuchi now are the only team to have drawn twice, but are still able to win the tournament with a bit of luck at 10 points now.

In an exceptional match, Holy Demon Army defeated Minoru Suzuki and Kazushi Sakuraba in 28:48 when Toshiaki Kawada defeated Minoru Suzuki by pinfall with a Backdrop Driver.

This match has been one of the most intense matches we have seen in a long time for AJPW!!! Suzuki and Kawada have traded kicks, forearms, submissions, strikes, everything!!!
Neither man is willing to fall as the match reaches it's later stages, with Taue and Sakuraba both at their corners as Suzuki and Kawada just trade some nasty slaps!!!
