Sunday Night Heat
Big Show, Matt Hardy, and John Cena with Shannon Moore vs. Rikishi, Diamond Dallas Page, and Tajiri
Winner: Big Show, Matt Hardy, and John Cena at 7:37
Result: Shannon Moore tried to give his team the advantage early, but a mist to the face (that Cena dodged) took out the MFer. Their team capitalized a bit to take down Tajiri until Rikishi got the hot tag and started laying it into everybody. DDP tagged in sometime during that and hit a Diamond Cutter to Hardy (reversing a Twist of Fate of course). Rikishi went for a Banzai Drop, but Big Show got him out of the ring. Show went for a Chokeslam to DDP, who reversed it into a Diamond Cutter. With the ref dealing with Show, Cena popped in and clocked DDP in the face with his chain. Tajiri got Cena out of the ring. Hardy got an arm over Page and the ref counted it.
Main Card
Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match for the World Tag Team Titles
Billy and Chuck (C) vs. The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-von Dudley) vs. Lance Storm and William Regal vs. 3 Minute Warning (Rosey and Jamal) with Rico
Winners: The Dudley Boyz at 12:30
Result: 1. Rosey hit a Samoan Drop to Billy to put him down. He and Jamal both climbed up to opposite top ropes, going for a simultaneous splash. Bubba popped in and cut Jamal off, hitting a Superplex to him before getting him out of the ring. Chuck rolled in as Rosey went for the Flying Splash. Chuck hit him with a Superkick mid-air as Billy rolled out of the way. Rosey remained standing, staggered but still up. Bubba hit his juke and jive Bionic Elbow to Rosey, who kept himself up. D-von rolled in and he and his brother hit a 3D to Rosey with some effort. Despite this, Rosey got on his knees, allowing Billy to finish him off with a Famerasser. The Dudleys kept Jamal out of the ring as Billy got the pin with Chuck lying on top of him.
2. Not long after that, Lance and Regal double teamed Chuck out of the ring, keeping him away. Lance hit a Superkick to Billy, leading into a Regal Cutter that kept the Ass Man down.
3. Using the time they had left, the Dudleys were victims to chicanery from their opponents, including D-von taking a Power of the Punch that looked to have knocked him out. Bubba made the save and things broke down from there. As the ref regained order, Regal went for another Power of the Punch to Bubba. Bubba ducked and threw Regal into Lance, taking the latter off the apron and to the floor. Regal turned around right into a 3D with the knucks still on his hand to seal the win and give us new champions.

Before the next match, we get a replay from Heat where we see Brock Lesnar entering the arena. Josh Matthews runs up (Brock has to ask who the kid is) and asks him what he's doing here given his suspension doesn't end until this Thursday. Brock says that Stephanie called him and wanted to speak with him in regards to his immediate future. He was asked not to interfere in the Benoit vs. Angle match, but that doesn't mean that the winner of that match won't be the Next Big Thing's...next opponent.

Edge vs. Test
Winner: Edge at 6:11 by disqualification
Result: Test has the power game and uses it to his advantage at the start. However, Edge eventually uses his quickness and gets some over on Test. After a bit of that, Test starts to threaten the referee, with the ref and Cole and Tazz warning him that his immunity is gone. He turns around and dodges a Spear. Edge stops before it hits the ref. However, Test hits a Big Boot when he turns around. He goes for the pin, but Edge kicks out, much to Test's shock. He shakes his head, suddenly angry. He leaves the ring and steals Tony Chimel's chair. He brings it in and waits for Edge to stand up before blasting him in the back with it. The ref calls the bell from there.
After the match, Test tries to continue the assault. However, Edge dodges a chair shot, causing the chair to bounce off the top rope back into Test's face. Edge hits an Edge-o-matic before grabbing the chair. He starts to seethe before going for the big man, who ducks and gets the hell out of dodge. Edge throws the chair down and calls for Test to fight him, with the latter opting to just walk away.

Before the next match, we go backstage where Team Angle is in their locker room, Benjamin and Haas are building up Kurt who is getting ready and getting pumped. Paul enters clutching the World Heavyweight Title. He tells Kurt that he tried to talk to Stephanie about what Brock said. Kurt waves that off, telling Paul that Brock can't interfere in tonight's match. Paul says that he has a right to be worried because according to Stephanie, neither can Team Angle or Paul himself. Angle starts to get mad, even going so far as to throw his bag at the wall. He calms down and tells Paul that this isn't according to plan, but he knows that he's the better athlete, the better wrestler, and the better man than Benoit. Tonight he will prove to the Rabid Wolverine that his bark has no bite especially against a wrestler the caliber of Kurt.

Kane vs. Eddie Guerrero
Winner: Kane at 8:36
Result: Eddie uses his usual ways over the big man to get the advantage for a portion of the match. Chavo even tries to interfere and whacks Kane with his half of the tag title whilst Eddie distracts the ref. Kane regains the advantage not long after and goes for a Flying Clothesline. However, Chavo pops up on the apron to intercede. Kane chokes him and gets down, hitting a Chokeslam on the apron. Kane goes back up top, but Eddie crotches him. The two start to fight back and forth on the top rope, with Kane getting the advantage and hitting a Chokeslam all the way from the top rope. That is more than enough to put away Latino Heat.
------------------
Before the next match, we head to Stephanie McMahon's office. She is sitting on her desk, watching Kane's victory on a TV. She mentions that she loves how much intensity Kane brings every match. Brock walks in and tells Stephanie that Kane is a powerful monster, but his focus is on the wrong things. Stephanie agrees and thanks Brock for showing up despite his suspension not being lifted. She wanted to speak to him regarding his return on SmackDown this Thursday. She knows that Brock is looking for revenge against Angle and is owed a rematch. However, she spoke with Heyman earlier tonight and they agreed that Angle vs. Lesnar is a money match and Stephane is not going to give that away for free. She tells him, however, that she can still give Brock a measure of revenge. This Thursday, it will be Brock Lesnar taking on The World's Greatest Tag Team in a Handicap Royal Rumble Qualifying match. If Brock wins...not only will he be in the Royal Rumble...but he gets Paul Heyman in the ring, uninterrupted by fear of suspension or termination, for five minutes. Brock smirks and agrees to Stephanie's terms.
We then get a video package detailing the recent story between Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie. Starting with Torrie slapping Dawn at Unforgiven. Ever since, Dawn has started a smear campaign against her. With Torrie, Dawn is vicious and malicious to the point where she has started a relationship with Torrie's dad Al. The two end up getting intimate quick with it publicly being known they've slept together, much to Torrie's displeasure. Dawn eventually proposed to Al, revealing that she did initially use him to get back at Torrie, but she does genuinely love Al. Torrie doesn't buy it. On a SmackDown! on the way to Armageddon, an episode that Al was away from for an overseas bachelor party, Dawn reveals to Torrie that even though she hates her (latter to the former), Al isn't the only Wilson she's interested in. This, understandably, freaks Torrie out.
Dawn tries to seduce Torrie, who, understandably, denies her, doubly so since she's engaged to her father. Dawn makes a deal. If Torrie does "something" for her, she'll drop the engagement. As much as she loves Al, she loves Torrie even more. Dawn slips Torrie her hotel key before leaving. Torrie, not quite so understandably though maybe understandably from a certain millionaire's perspective, does actually show up. She gets cold feet, but when Dawn tells Torrie that "I guess you don't love your father after all", she relents and does "whatever" Dawn asks for. When Dawn confronts Al on the following SmackDown!, he is not happy. Dawn admits she did sleep with Torrie, but that all she thought of was Al. That's enough for Al, I guess (or maybe he used his four eyes to look at Dawn) and still wants to marry her, which was technically his choice. They wanted the wedding that same night, but Torrie interfered, again more understandably angry and beat up Dawn until Al tried to stop her. Torrie, blinded by rage, shoved her father to the mat and kept up the assault. She then revealed that she would reveal the footage next week (so this Thursday's episode) on SmackDown!.

As JR and King try to get back to wrestling, they talk about the following match. A video package then plays detailing how we go to it.
Steve Austin vs. Ric Flair
Winner: Steve Austin at 9:37
Result: In a match that is a lot of Flair shtick and Austin beating up the Nature Boy, there's still enough Flair attacking the leg and cheating to even it out. Flair has a Figure 4 locked in on Austin. Austin eventually gets to the bottom rope, forcing Flair to break it. Flair argues with the ref before going for the Figure 4 again. Austin kicks Flair away into the turnbuckle before beating up on him. Austin goes for a Stunner, but Flair catches his foot. He trips Austin and locks in a Figure 4 again. Austin reverses it the pressure, forcing Flair to break. After a bit of brawling, Flair goes up top, going for a flying chop. Austin kicks him in the gut mid-air before hitting a Stunner.

Scott Steiner: Will he sign with Raw or SmackDown?
We head to the ring where we have a table set-up with two contracts. Stephanie McMahon comes out, introduced by Tony Chimel, whilst Eric Bischoff comes out right after, introduced by Lilian Garcia. The both doddle a bit before Eric does the honors and introduces Scott Steiner. Big Poppa Pump comes out looking ready to go. He says that Eric Bischoff promised him freaks, he promised him the superstar package, the whole nine yards, and a hell of a lotta money if he signed. He then says that Stephanie promised him opportunities, she promised him success as SmackDown!'s number one superstar, and even more money than Eric did. Scott says that he is open for either brand. However...he wants one more addition to whichever contract he signs. A guaranteed World Title shot at the Royal Rumble. This gets the crowd pumped, with both Eric and Stephanie trying to talk it over. Eric is nervous, not quite willing to commit. It's Stephanie who notices Eric's hesitancy and agrees. She looks like she regrets it right afterwards, but tells Scott that he has the shot at the Rumble. Scott smiles and laughs before shaking hands with Stephanie and signing on the dotted line. Scott tells Stephanie that he'll have lawyers look through the contract to make sure everything's up to what he wanted, and then tells the crowd that he can see him on SmackDown!, and to holla if ya hear him. He then leaves, allowing Eric to be pissed at his missed opportunity while Stephanie looks...mostly pleased.

WWE Women's Title in a Last Woman Standing Match
Victoria (C) vs. Trish Stratus
Winner: Victoria at 10:29
Result: The Hardcore Match at Survivor Series was a nice dose of Hardcore, but was really tame in comparison up to the finish. These two women didn't have a problem with escalating it here. Tables, announce table, chairs, ladders, chain, and even the mirror all were busted out. Both women managed to keep themselves off the mat, but it got closer and closer the more the match went on. It really came to a head when Trish had the mirror set-up. She went for a Stratusfaction, but Steven Richards came in and took her off Victoria, turning that into a Stevie-T onto the mirror. Steven smiled as the ref told him to get out. With the mirror cracked and Trish now busted open, Victoria hit a Widow's Peak to her, having Trish land face first onto the broken mirror. The ref counted Trish out and Victoria kept her title.
After the match, Victoria and Steven celebrate as EMTs come in to help Trish to the back, wary of the glass now in her head and face.

World Heavyweight Title
Kurt Angle (C) vs. Chris Benoit
Winner: Kurt Angle at 17:00
Result: One of two matches that were guaranteed to steal the show long before things ever got underway. No doubt that the match you expect these two have they absolutely nailed 100%. In a later match of the year candidate, they traded suplexes, punches, and submission holds for 17 straight minutes, and with no Team Angle or Paul Heyman allowed to interfere and no Lesnar looming in the background, they were allowed to just let their actions dictate what went down. Benoit eventually got Angle in a solid Crossface. Angle managed to get out of it and try for an Angle Slam, but Benoit rolled through into a victory roll, locking in an Ankle Lock. Angle rolled through and locked in one of his own. Benoit reversed that into another Crossface, but Angle got out of it, hitting an Angle Slam that was kicked out of. Benoit reversed another one into a Triple German Suplex, with the third one sending Angle inside out in a moonsault. Benoit went for a Diving Headbutt, but Angle dodged, sending him into the mat. Angle nailed another Angle Slam to the Wolverine. Angle went for an Ankle Lock, but Chris rolled onto his back before dragging him down for a Crossface. Angle eventually managed to maneuver his way out of that to lock in a tight Ankle Lock. Benoit tried his hardest to get to the ropes, but Angle eventually grapevined it. Realizing the situation, but not willing to quit, it took Benoit everything he had not to tap out. Alas, it wasn't enough, and to his own chagrin, he slapped the mat.
After the match, Team Angle and Heyman come out and help Kurt to the back, his title held high. Benoit remains in the ring for a few moments, accepting the standing ovation from the crowd before limping to the back.

We quickly get a quick commercial promoting WWE Shop Zone before cutting around the arena. Christian and Chris Jericho are together in a locker room, stretching and affirming their allegiance. Rob Van Dam is seen with his IC Title below him doing splits across two metal travel cases. Booker T is in the bowels of the building, doing pull ups on pipes. Shawn Michaels is seen saying a quick prayer. We then cut to Triple H where he is holding his WWE Title close, looking ahead at a mirror. Flair appears in the background of the mirror, telling Hunter that it's time. He then heads out.
A video package then airs detailing how we ended up getting to this next match, accentuated by the chilling call of "The End is Here!"
Right after that is over, the Chamber is lowered around the ring. Eric Bischoff then comes out with a lead pipe and a smirk as he enters the ominous structure. He introduces the match as a match that can only come from his mind. "The Elimination Chamber! Two miles of chain...over ten tons...of solid steel...designed to punish...the human body. And six RAW superstars willing to put themselves through hell...for the ultimate prize. The W...WE...Championship!" He uses the pipe to smack the steel floor and the chain walls, as well as the plexiglass doors. He then explains the rules. "Until there is one...sole survivor...and that man becoming...the W...WE...Champion! Ladies and gentlemen! On behalf of everyone...from WWE...and Eric Bischoff...we proudly present to you...Armageddon!" He then leaves, allowing for the introduction of the superstars in the match.

Elimination Chamber for the WWE Title
Triple H (C) vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho vs. Booker T vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Christian
Winner: Shawn Michaels at 37:33
Result: 1. RVD and Triple H start the match-up. However, Jericho comes in not long after and starts to help him out. Christian isn't much after that to have a 3-on-1 match-up. Things took a turn once RVD back drops Christian onto the steel. Jericho nails a bulldog and goes for a Lionsault, both to RVD. However, Triple H sends Jericho over the ropes, onto the steel himself. Hunter takes it to RVD for a bit until Booker T enters. He hits a Scissors Kick to Hunter before being stopped by Y2J and Christian. RVD, on the top of the pod, hits a Five Star Frog Splash to Hunter that looks like it lands wrong. RVD stumbles around on his ribs for a bit before Christian hits an Unprettier to him. Jericho follows it up with a Lionsault to RVD that puts the Whole Dam Show away.
2. Booker T uses this time for a bit to throw Jericho into a plexiglass pod, busting the glass down and busting Jericho open. Booker eventually throws Christian into the chain, busting him open as well. After gaining control and noticing that Jericho is down for a bit, Christian nails Booker with clothesline and reverse DDT. He then takes some time to gloat, hitting a very poor Spinarooni. Booker sees this and starts to hammer into him, sending Christian into the corner. Christian fights out, sending Booker back, but the former starts to flee. Christian finds himself at the top of the pod with Booker following him up. After a few more shoots to the face, Booker gnabs a strap of Christian's singlet. Christian is then sent flying to the mat from the top of the pod. Booker gets down and waits for Christian to hit his knees, allowing for a Scissors Kick to put him away.
3. Shawn Michaels comes in not long after that and takes it to everybody. HBK eventually hits his trademarks onto Jericho and Booker before going for a Sweet Chin Music to Y2J. Booker pops in and hits a Book End to HBK that he kicks out of. Booker looks to Jericho, kicking him in the gut and going for a Scissors Kick. Jericho dodges, locking in a Walls of Jericho. Booker holds on, getting on his back and shoving Jericho back into the ropes. On the rebound, he kicks Jericho in the gut again, going for another Scissors Kick. Chris dodges once more, leaving Booker open for a Sweet Chin Music. Booker remains standing, allowing Triple H to hit him with a Pedigree. Jericho finishes off the trifecta with a Lionsault that put Booker away.
4. Despite their prior betrayal, HHH convinces Jericho to to another 2-on-1 on HBK, eventually busting him open with a catapult through a plexiglass pod. Not long after that, Jericho hits a bulldog to HHH onto the steel. He puts Hunter back into the ring and starts to mount offense on him. Chris makes a mistake and goes for a back body drop, allowing HHH to start his trademarks on Y2J. When the time comes, however, Chris reverses the Pedigree into a Walls of Jericho. Triple H fights back, refusing to tap. He tries to turn it once, but Jericho holds on, tightening the hold. That's when HBK comes in with a Sweet Chin Music that puts Jericho down.
5. With the two former DX members left in the ring, things deteriorate faster from there. Alas, not before Jericho has enough and blasts HBK with some Sweet Chin Music of his own. The refs force Jericho out as Triple H attempts to pick up the pieces. HBK fights out though and the two continue to brawl from there. Eventually, HBK starts his trademarks once again, though ups the ante with a Flying Elbow Drop from the top of a pod. HBK goes for Sweet Chin Music, but Triple H catches the kick, reversing it into a Pedigree that Shawn kicks out of. Triple H goes for it again, but HBK back body drops out of it. He hits one final Sweet Chin Music to seal the deal and earn himself his first championship in over 4 years.
After the match, there's a rain of confetti as HBK celebrates with his new title as Triple H is helped to the back by Flair and EMTs.
