I have recently begun a save in the 1992 mod, Eye of the Storm. Here is where I shall be sharing my progress in the game.
My user characters are Dusty Rhodes as head booker of WCW, Vince McMahon as owner of the WWF, Eddie Gilbert as head booker of ECW, and Jim Cornette as SMW. I have tried to utilize my talent points accordingly for their personalities.
For the intents and purposes of the game calendar, the date of Monday, January 1992, is January 6th.
For the intents and purposes of the game calendar, the date of Monday, January 1992, is January 6th.
Things I have changed before the game started:
- Replaced Broadcasters with Asaemon's Broadcaster Database.
- Imported more gimmicks, which will now include different types of the same gimmick.
- Changed two gimmicks in WWF: Jake Roberts (Old School Heel > Calculating Madman) and Jimmy Hart (Manager > Loud Mouth Manager).
- Added WCW Pro and WCW World Wide Wrestling, as along with World Championship Wrestling, Power Hour, and Main Event, they were treated as their own shows still. They are both on the Syndication broadcaster with WWW at On Demand and Pro at Afternoon timeslots.
- Added broadcasting deals for WCW as listed in Asaemon's chart: WCW Pro and Main Event on ITV, World Wide and Power Hour on Sky Sports 1.
- Removed WWF All-American Wrestling, as I've never been able to find a point of reference on how to book the show.
- Changed WWF Superstars down to a B show, as it should appear; later in the game, the WWF's first A show will be Monday Night Raw.
- Changed dates for some events to put them where they should appear (this goes back to my usage of a regular calendar).
- Added storylines in the WWF (Rockers break-up, Virgil vs. Repo Man, IRS vs. Big Boss Man, El Matador vs. Million Dollar Man) and WCW (Cactus Jack vs. Van Hammer, Young Pistols vs. WCW Patriots). I also added Hawk and Animal to the "Jimmy's Loyalties" storyline, as the Tag titles were important in it. In hindsight, I should have broken up WCW's Dangerous Alliance storyline into a few pieces, but I didn't, so we're running with it.
- Imported a different Venues mod.
- Imported a few workers; no one of huge note, just a few enhancement level guys who weren't already in the game such as Bob Cook and Larry Santo.
- I joined as SMW a week into the game. The only thing that the AI had done before I joined was signed Rocky King, which honestly is something I likely would have done as well, so good on them.
- Cosmetic effects.
