The Biggest Brawl Of Them All
These are the results from WCW SuperBrawl V, being held by World Championship Wrestling. It is being held in front of 19,000 people at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It’s a Sell Out!
We get introduced to SuperBrawl V by Tony Schiavone. Our main event match will be a Thundercage match with Hulk Hogan vs. Vader for the WCW World Heavyweight title. Hogan is looking for revenge on Vader that has been attacking him on several occasions, while No 1 Contender Vader has a unique shot at the title. Tonight could be the End of Hulkamania, as Vader and his manager Harley Race is trying to injure Hogan and end his career.
Your hosts are Tony Schiavone, Bobby Heenan and Mike Tenay.
Tony Schiavone says that the fans are jam packed in the arena.
Let’s get to it!
Tony, Bobby, and “Mean” Gene Okerlund make predictions regarding the main event. They also state that “Nature Boy” Ric Flair is here tonight and will face a Mystery Challenger.
Johnny B. Badd vs. Paul Orndorff w/ Toni
“Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff is here to teach “The Badd Man” Johnny B. Badd a lesson or two. Badd works an Armbar. Orndorff takes over with Backbreakers and arrogantly poses like it’s a squash match against some local jobber. Badd goes for a Sunset Flip, but Orndorff punches him in the ribs in mid-air to stop it.
Orndorff is very heelish in his way, and played-up his superior physique bullying other Badd around…
Orndorff takes over with a Chinlock and uses the ropes for leverage. A Gorilla Press Slam from Orndorff, who then mocks Badd with some more bodybuilding poses. Badd elbows out, and connects with a stunning
Dropkick. Badd attempted to punch Orndorff, but Orndorff kept yanking him down by the hair.
Badd finally explodes with some flashy offense. Orndorff and his valet Toni engage in some heel miscommunication. Badd rolls him up for 1-2! Badd continues with his flashy offense. Orndorff is in trouble and Toni is getting involved. She tries to clobber Badd with her shoe, but smashes Orndorff over the head with it and Badd quickly goes for the Shooting Star Press to finish Orndorff off.
In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Johnny B. Badd defeated Paul Orndorff in 6:09 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press following botched interference by Toni.

Randy Savage vs. Bobby Eaton
In a bout that had great wrestling, good heat and both wrestlers getting an equal amount of offense, “Macho Man” Randy Savage defeated “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton in 8:03 by pinfall with a Savage Elbow Drop.

Interview w/ The Four Horsemen
“Mean Gene” is in the aisleway and welcomes out Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Curt Hennig, Steve Austin, Elizabeth and Jeannie to a huge pop. Ric Flair puts over Philadelphia and all the partying and women he had in this very town.
“Mean Gene” asks him about Hulk Hogan vs. Vader tonight and Flair sidesteps it and instead decides to put over all of his Four Horsemen brothers and puts over the party afterwards tonight at the Ritz-Carlton and “Mean Gene” obviously wants in as the party will include lots of champagne and beautiful women.
Flair points out that he is the greatest WCW United States Champion of all time. He says that his “Mystery Opponent” will fail to take the championship away from him tonight. He and his fellow Horsemen are going to be victorious tonight. After winning their matches at SuperBrawl V they are living the jet set lifestyle and partying with the hottest chicks.
While Ric Flair talks, Mean Gene is checking Elizabeth and Jeannie out.
But the fact is, he’s Ric Flair, he’s the Nature Boy, and he’s already sick and tired of Randy Savage. He’s here to defend his title, but he makes the promise to take care of Savage later and to run him out of WCW.
He then wink’s into the camera before WOOOOOOO’ing and walking off.

Jim Duggan vs. Arn Anderson
The bout starts off with an wild brawl that spills to the outside.This was the good ol’ “Mid-South Hacksaw” and not the cartoony “WWF Hacksaw”. It was an pretty open and even match until “The Enforcer” surprises Jim Duggan with a Spinebuster.
In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson defeated “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan in 6:07 by pinfall with a perfect Spinebuster. Arn Anderson makes defence number 5 of his WCW World Television Championship title.

The Steiner Brothers vs. Miracle Violence Connection w/ Col. Parker
It’s a open bout that had superb hard-hitting power wrestling and a excellent reaction from the crowd. It was a hard-hitting war with stiff Clotheslines, which then gave way to really hard Slams and Suplexes.
Rick Steiner catches Steve Williams coming off the middle rope and starts his comeback. Diving Bulldog!
Cover, 1-2-NO!
Col. Parker sticks Williams’s foot on the rope. Rick Steiner takes liberties with Col. Parker and brings him into the ring with a Suplex. Williams misses a Clothesline and floats out to the apron. Now Rick Steiner tries to Suplex him in, but Parker trips up Rick Steiner and Steve Williams falls on top while Parker holds Rick’s feet down for the 1-2-3.
Miracle Violence Connection defeated The Steiner Brothers in a No. 1 Contenders’ match in 16:21 when Steve Williams defeated Rick Steiner by pinfall after Col. Robert Parker interfered.

The Nasty Boys are ready for the Philly Street Fight tonight and will take Kevin Sullivan and One Man Gang to Nastyville for the last time. They’ll slap Woman’s face off if they have to.

The Nasty Boys vs. Kevin Sullivan & One Man Gang w/ Woman
This starts off with an awesome intense and stiff brawl that spills to the outside. All four wrestlers try to their opponents as hard as possible. Brutal powerbombs, reckless dives, and tons of chairshots ensured that all wrestlers left the battle bloodied and feeling like they’d been hit by trucks.
In a stiff garbage brawl that had superb heat, The Nasty Boys defeated Kevin Sullivan & One Man Gang in a Philly Street Fight match in 14:27 when Brian Knobbs defeated Kevin Sullivan by pinfall with a Trip to
Nastyville. Huge pop for The Nasties for winning the Philly Street Fight. The fans are pure red hot for the two big, burly mullet-hawk wearing street thugs.

Iron Man Match
Sting vs. Curt Hennig
Sting explodes with a flurry of Clotheslines and Dropkicks. It’s a back and forth match that went the distance, with both wrestlers having several great comeback segments. In an unbelievable match, Sting drew with Curt Hennig in an Iron Man match in 30:00 at two falls each.
Rating: 97 A*
Gene Okerlund says “This has been one of the best four or five pay per views I’ve ever been involved in.”
Interview w/ Vader
“Mean Gene” interviews “Rocky Mountain Monster” Vader and Harley Race backstage and Vader just destroys stuff. He is tearing the backstage area apart.
Harley Race says Vader’s held three different world titles from three different promotions on three continents making him the closest thing professional wrestling has ever had to a true world champion.
“Who’s the man?”

“It’s Vader!”
“Vader is the man!”
“I rule the WCW and no one can stop me!”
Vader yells that “Hogan finally will have to look into the Eyes of his Destructor” and flips out even more and storms off as Harley Race order the cameraman to stop filming.

WCW World Tag Team Title Match
Fire and Ice w/ Teddy Long vs. Harlem Heat
This match featured some good brawling and hard-hitting power moves. Champions Harlem Heat were fantastic at stooging for Ice Train and Scott “Flash” Norton, and it helped the crowd to really rally behind Fire and Ice.
Booker T misses a Jumping Hook Kick on Ice Train and crotches himself. Booker T thumbs the eyes to get a tag out to Stevie Ray. He misses a Corner Charge and is leveled by a stiff Clothesline.
Ice Train and Scott Norton works him over for a little bit, with hard-hitting power moves, until Stevie Ray gets away. Booker T tags in and gets worked over for a little while, but he comes back with a Dropkick on Norton that puts him on the floor. Back in, Stevie Ray eats a Clothesline from Norton and returns the favor with a Mule Kick.
Back on the floor, Booker T walks over and Superkicks Norton. Back in, Norton avoids an Elbow Drop and rolls out to the floor while Booker T Spinaroonies to his feet long. Meanwhile, Stevie Ray nails Ice Train with a Clothesline off the apron.
Back in the ring, the Heat cut off the ring with a Chinlock. Ice Train gets drawn in. Ice Train ducks a Clothesline and hits a desperation Powerslam to set up the hot tag to Scott Norton. He runs through Harlem Heat with big Clotheslines, but a knee to the back from Booker T slows him down. They whip him into the ropes and telegraph a Backdrop.
Norton set up for the big hot tag from Ice Train quite well and when they do the place actually goes nuts as Fire and Ice starts dominating Booker T with hard-hitting power moves. It ends when Fire and Ice defeated Booker T by pinfall with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck.
In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Fire and Ice defeated Harlem Heat in 9:53 when Scott Norton defeated Booker T by pinfall with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck. Fire and Ice win the WCW World Tag Team Championship titles.

Hogan says he’s ready for the latest challenge of Hulkamania. Even his family is worried about Vader hurting him tonight, but the Pythons are ready for Vader Time.
Hogan says he is going rise to the occasion and be a maniac tonight, brother.
Hogan is going to slam Vader and is going to beat Vader, brother.
He is going to tear Vader apart in Philadelphia, brother.
“So Vader, I’ve got somethin’ to tell you, when you come in front of all my Hulkamaniacs, be ready for the fight of your life, brother! There’s gonna be one thing that’s gonna happen to you! You’re gonna be laying at your back, looking up saying: ‘Please Mr. Hogan, don’t beat on me anymore!’ Then the Legdrop of Doom will destroy you!”

The mystery opponent is none other than former WCW International World Heavyweight champion Hiroshi Hase. The crowd’s hot and the open match has a ton of energy and drama! During the match, both wrestlers had great comeback segments.
In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, Ric Flair defeated Japanese star Hiroshi Hase in a Two Out Of Three Falls match in 16:09 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by submission with a Figure Four Leglock. Ric Flair makes defence number 1 of his WCW United States Championship title.

In a bout that had sensational wrestling and fantastic heat, “Superstar” Steve Austin defeated “Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman in a Best of Seven Series match in 16:07 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics by hitting Pillman with some brass knuckles when Jeannie distracted the referee.

This was wild hard-hitting brawling for the sake of brawling, and it was all very clearly done just to set-up the upcoming rematches between Dustin Rhodes vs. The Blacktop Bully; Ray Traylor vs. Meng; and Vladimir Koloff vs. Kurosawa.
The Blacktop Bully gets extra rough on Dustin Rhodes at numerous times, but Dustin has the hot comeback and hits the Corner Bulldog.
“The Russian Beast” Vladimir Koloff gets his shoulder posted early on and Kurosawa work the arm for a long time. Meanwhile Ray Traylor and Meng are engaged in a wild no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners brawl.
A smark in the crowd held up a “Repo” sign as the fans chanted KFC at Parker…
Dustin slams Blacktop Bully’s face in the cage. Blacktop Bully shrugs off a Monkey Flip out of the corner and levels Dustin with a Clothesline. Rhodes elbows out of a Chinlock, but then does the spot where he misses a Crossbody and goes crashing into the cage.
The bout is hard-hitting and reckless, with blood splattered around the cage and the mat.
Blacktop Bully looks to finish Dustin off, but ends up in a Surprise Cradle. The average working class guy Dustin Rhodes is bloody and beaten, but manages to end up winning the match for his team.
In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Dustin Rhodes, Vladimir Koloff and Ray Traylor defeated The Stud Stable (The Blacktop Bully, Meng and Kurasawa) in a Thundercage match in 15:47 when Dustin Rhodes defeated The Blacktop Bully by pinfall with a Surprise Cradle.

Hulk Hogan vs. Vader w/ Harley Race
Vader no-sells Hulk Hogan’s punches to start. ”Who’s the Man?”
We look over at Bobby Heenan who tries to hold back a smile…
Hogan tries to wrestle Vader with his one hold: the Cross Armbreaker takedown. Vader stands up out of it and stomps Hogan in the face. He corners Hogan and unloads a punishing barrage of strikes. Vader splashes him in the corner, causing Hogan to regroup.
Vader follows him, but Hulk reverses a Whip into the Thundercage that puts Vader almost into Harley Race’s face. Hogan delivers his ten-count corner punches and a Running Clothesline sends Vader down into the mat. Vader gets pounded some more before Hogan gets cocky and tries a Slam, which fails and Vader falls on him. Here comes Vader. Body Attack connects. Vader Bomb connects and the crowd goes wild!
A Vadersault misses! Vader ducks a clothesline and gives Hulk a Chokeslam! Vader corners Hogan again for a hellish beating and then gives him a Suplex.
Looks like it’s Hulk Up Time!
Hulk Hogan looks to the right. Hulk Hogan looks to the left.
The Hulkamaniacs start to cheer.
Hulk Up Time!
Hogan, shaking his fists, looks deep within himself and remembers what A Real American Hero is. The finger wag and the crowd goes nuts and he makes his big comeback!
Ten punches later, we have a Big Boot, and a Legdrop. Cover, 1-NO!! Vader presses Hogan off him! Body Attack by Vader sends Hogan into the referee.
Vader splashes Hogan, but the referee is down, so there’s nobody to count. Hogan jumps up and charges Vader with fists! Hogan Clotheslines Vader just as Harley Race attack Hogan from behind with the Stun Gun.
The referee wakes up as Vader gives Hulk the Powerbomb.
In an unbelievable match, Vader defeated Hulk Hogan in a Thundercage match in 16:24 by pinfall with a Triple Powerbomb after Harley Race interfered. Vader wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship title.

Post-match Beatdown
Unstoppable 450 pounds monster heel Vader continues his devastating attack on Hulk Hogan with those big fists. Vader splashes down onto Hogan a couple of times.
When…
Suddenly…
He is joined by “The Beast from the East” Bam Bam Bigelow…
Vader and Bam Bam Bigelow double team Hogan with a devastating Aided Release Powerbomb.
Bam Bam Bigelow traps Hulk Hogan on the mat while Vader goes up top and he’s going to attempt to break Hogan’s leg with the Vader Bomb, but the explosive and athletic bodybuilder Sting come bolting out with a steel chair. He brains Harley Race. He whacks Vader numerous times and he whacks Bam Bam Bigelow right in the face.
Eventually a number of officials and other wrestlers have to hit the ring and pull them apart before they kill each other.
Is this the end of Hulkamania?
