WrestleMania XX
Live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York
Co-Branded PPV
Theme: "Step Up" by Drowning Pool and "Touche" by Godsmack
Winners: Billy Kidman, Paul London, and Brian Kendrick at 11:23
Result: The Cruiserweight team of Billy, Paul, and Brian all take it to Rodney, and even give Mark a run for his money, but once Matt gets in, he slaps down their smaller bodies like nothing. Matt works over Brian for a bit of time before tagging in Mark. Brian manages to dodged a Big Splash and tag in Paul. Paul goes for a flying crossbody, but Mark catches him. Billy responds with a flying dropkick that takes Mark down for a two. After a bit, Paul reverses a World's Strongest Slam by getting behind Mark. He flies in between Mark's legs to tag in Billy, who takes it to Mark as much as he can with flying moves, ducking and weaving, etc. Eventually, Mark clotheslines Billy to the mat hard, tagging in Mack, who tries to take it to Billy as well. After a bit of back and forth between then, Billy reverses a uranagi into a DDT. Billy goes up top, but Matt appears and catches him, hitting a Samoan Drop. Paul and Brian team up and kick Matt out of the ring. Brian gets on his hands and knees, allowing Paul to use him as a step to get to the top rope and then hit a Shooting Star Press down onto Matt. Brian then kicks Mark off the apron and hits a suicide dive to him. Mack covers Billy, who kicks out. Mack hits the uranagi and locks in the Blackout. After a bit, Billy tries to kick him off, but Mack keeps it locked in. Paul rushes in and kicks Mack out of the hold. Paul and Mack brawl for a few moments until Mack sends Paul out of the ring with a back body drop, causing Paul to crash into the floor. Mack turns around into a BK Bomb. Mark rolls in as Billy covers Mack. However, as Mark goes for a Big Splash, Kidman moves, causing Mark to hit his own partner. Mark charges for Billy, who lowers the top rope and sends him out and over to the floor. Billy then hits a Shooting Star Press to Mack. On a two count, Theodore Long pulls Billy off the count. The ref sees this and kicks Long out. After a bit of schmoz, Long makes his exit. Back in the ring, Kidman goes for another Shooting Star Press, but Paul, seeing Mack moving, tags in Billy. Billy is a bit mad, but dives anyway. Mack moves, causing Billy to crash into the canvas. Mack goes for a back suplex, but Billy gets behind him, pushing him into a dropsault by Paul. Brian runs in and hits a Sliced Bread #2 to Mack. He then immediately hits a senton over the top onto Matt to keep him down. Billy hits another Shooting Star Press to Mack before leaping over the top with a press onto Mark. Paul climbs up and hits a 450 Splash onto Mack to seal the deal.

WWE United States Title
Big Show (C) vs. John Cena
Winner: John Cena at 9:13
Result: It's the exact same match as real life! It really makes things easier for me and everybody else. The end comes when Cena hits an FU to Show, who kicks out. Cena, annoyed by this, goes for his lock and chain. The ref intercedes and takes it from him. In response, while he's dealing with that, Cena grabs the brass knuckle with "WORD" on it and cracks Show in the head. He bounces off the ropes, and Cena hits him with a second FU on the rebound to seal the deal and win his first title in WWE.
------------------
Before the next match, we head backstage where Jonathan Coachman is walking around. He says hey to a couple legends posted around as well as SmackDown! GM Paul Heyman. The two give each other a couple "props" with Paul actually laying it down correctly, if not also humorously. He walks into Eric's office, who is talking to Johnny Nitro. Eric sees Coach, the latter of whom gives Nitro some "props" as well. Eric tells Coach that he wants tonight to be perfect. So he asks Coach to find Goldberg. Eric is concerned as his "monster" hasn't been following his "orders" lately and wants to make sure he's falling in line. Eric asks Coach to ensure that the match tonight ends the way he wants it to. Coach doesn't want to do it since the last time he talked to Goldberg, he was Speared out of his shoes. "Boss, Goldberg hates me!" "Everyone hates you, Coach." Coach is confused at this. Eric orders him to do it and Coach reluctantly agrees.
After that, we see Evolution backstage in a familiar stairwell.
(ignore La Resistance's music why are they even here lol)
After that promo, we get a vignette showing how we got to the next match.

Christian vs. Chris Jericho
Winner: Christian at 14:56
Result: It is virtually the same match as real life with the obvious exception of its ending. Said ending comes when Christian goes for an Unprettier, but Y2J reverses it into a Walls of Jericho. Christian holds on, getting to the ropes and causing the ref to break it. Christian unties a turnbuckle pad, but the ref sees him rip it off. While the ref deals with that, Christian turns around into a Walls of Jericho. After a few moments of Christian tapping while the ref is distracted, a muscled tattooed bald man with a long beard runs in and hits a Big Boot on Jericho. He picks Jericho up and hits a Snake Eyes to him on the turnbuckle itself. He exits as Jericho backs up into an Unprettier. The ref is done with the pad, turning around as Christian covers Jericho for the win.
Afterwards, Christian is smirking. He celebrates with his new enforcer. The two grab Howard Finkel's and Tony Chimel's chairs. He goes for a con-chair-to to Jericho but is interrupted by some music.
IT'S EDGE! HE'S BACK! He rushes out from the back, hitting a Spear to the big man and saving Jericho from any further beatdowns. Christian flees the ring. Edge and Jericho confront each other in the ring before shaking hands. Christian looks furious at having his moment broken up while the big man holds his ribs in pain.
------------------
Before the next match, we head backstage where Coach is walking around in the deepest parts of the arena. He is asking for Goldberg, and turns around to him being choked by said man. Coach, through the lack of air, manages to tell Goldberg that Bischoff wanted to make sure he played ball. Goldberg starts getting a bit angry. Coach tries to calm him down, but all Goldberg does and lean into Coach's ear. We don't hear what he says, but Coach is surprised by it. Goldberg lets Coach go, fixing his suit a bit as well. Coach nods once. Goldberg uses his head to let him know he can leave and Coach couldn't do that fast enough. Then we hear La Resistance's music.
During the entrances of the next match, we see highlights from WrestleMania 2000 and WrestleMania X-Seven's Ladder/TLC Matches.

On the top of the ladder, Jeff throws his shirt to the crowd. Jeff stands at the top two rungs of the ladder. He hits a Swanton Bomb from the ladder to both members of La Resistance through the two tables. Matt looks pleased and starts to climb, but D-von drags him down into a Saving Grace. WWE Tag Team Titles in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match
Rikishi and Scotty Too Hotty (C) vs. The Basham Brothers (Doug and Danny Basham) vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) vs. Scott Steiner and Rhyno
Winner: Rikishi and Scotty Too Hotty at 7:05
Result: For the sake of levity and moving this along, we'll say the match is virtually the same as real life with Steiner and Rhyno swapped in for the APA and their spots given to those two. At the end, Rhyno avoids a move in the corner by Danny, nailing a Gore that tears him in two. Rhyno goes for a Gore to Rikishi, who hits a Savate Kick mid-move. Rhyno gets into the ropes, and on the rebound, is hit with a Samoan Drop. Rikishi then hits the Banzai Drop on the legal Danny to pick up the win.
Afterwards, Rikishi and Scotty enjoy a little dancing in the ring.

Before the next match, Jesse Ventura comes out and announces the attendance for the evening. He also gives a quick interview with Donald Trump, who is at ringside, and ponders the idea of "a wrestler in the White House". (Author's Note: Which...yeah, oof)

WWE Women's Title vs. Hair Match

The cameraman goes for Victoria again, but Trish enters and hits a Chick Kick to them, sending them out of the ring. In the ruckus of recovery, the cameraman rips off their gear to reveal Steven Richards in a fake beard. He is quickly surrounded by Trish and the other face divas. They kick his ass and send him packing. Molly hits the Molly Go Round for another two. A frustrated Molly goes for a Widow's Peak of her own, but Victoria reverses it into a backslide for the three!
