Event: AJPW Dynamite Series - Day 1 Date: Saturday, July, Week 1, 1999 Attendance: 2,005 in Korakuen Hall (NO VACANCY!!!) Show Rating: 91 A
The show starts off as per usual with the NTV sports march blasting
Once the sports march fades, a man dressed in white walks out to the ring, Jun Akiyama, with a million thoughts on his mind, calls out anybody in the wrestling world to wrestle him here tonight!
After a few moments of silence, Jun sighs, thinking nobody wants to fight him. Until...
IT'S SHINYA HASHIMOTO FROM NJPW!!!
He walks down to the ring as the crowd cheers for him, welcoming the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion with open arms into AJPW for the first time!
He enters the ring as Jun looks on in shock...
In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Shinya Hashimoto defeated Jun Akiyama in 22:41 by pinfall with a Brainbuster.
Jun's first attempt to win after being turned on by his group is a failed one. However, before Hashimoto leaves he offers him a hand??? Jun accepts it and walks out...
Rating: 91 A
In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, CIMA and Kensuke Sasaki defeated Hayabusa and Kurt Angle in 12:56 when CIMA defeated Hayabusa by pinfall with a Schwein Redline.
CIMA continues his hot streak as Kensuke and Angle were not big factors, which is shocking for the 2 heavyweights in the match, though it's clear this feud between Hayabusa and CIMA is far from over...
Rating: 76 B-
In a bout that had superb wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Suzuki-Gun (Nobuhiko Takada, Akira Maeda and Kazushi Sakuraba) defeated Holy Demon Army (Toshiaki Kawada, Akira Taue and Masanobu Fuchi) in 14:52 when Akira Maeda defeated Masanobu Fuchi by pinfall.
What's clear is after the Dome Show, the HDA cannot gain any momentum in singles or tag competition. Sure they've picked up some wins but these losses have eat away as Suzuki-Gun continues to gain momentum and hold more control in AJPW as Kawada and Taue look at each and sigh.
Rating: 91 A
In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Mitsuharu Misawa and Yoshinari Ogawa defeated Yoshihiro Takayama and Takeshi Morishima in 18:11 when Yoshinari Ogawa defeated Takeshi Morishima by pinfall with a quick roll up.
Misawa looks on at Ogawa in shock for a moment before realizing they just pinned the tag champions...Dr Death stands on the outside in shock as well as Misawa gets a wicked grin on his face before grabbing a mic...
"Triangle of Power...it seems as if me and Ogawa have beat you and now, I am going to be putting on a match for those titles!!!"
The crowd looks on in disbelief as Misawa books himself a title match...
Rating: 91 A
In a bout that had superb wrestling and good heat, Dynasty (Owen Hart, Takao Omori and Tamon Honda) defeated Burning (Kenta Kobashi, Osamu Nishimura and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi) in 21:36 when Takao Omori defeated Kenta Kobashi by pinfall with an Axe Bomber.
In an absolute shock, Takao Omori pins Kenta Kobashi?!?!? Before anybody can do anything Omori grabs a mic!!!
"I JUST PINNED KOBASHI, SCREW THE MAIN EVENT I WANT A TITLE SHOT NOW TOO!!!"
As Kobashi sits up stunned from the Axe Bomber he realizes the challenge and looks on...
Rating: 87 B+
In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Vader drew with Minoru Suzuki in 30:00 when the time limit expired.
Rating: 91 A
As Vader sits up after the Gotch Style Piledriver and Suzuki sits in annoyance, the PWF Chairmen, Stan Hansen walks out!!!
Stan is holding a mic as he stands atop the ramp, looking down at the 2 men in the ring.
"Welp, I guess this means that, due to a draw, you are both now the number 1 contender, and on top of that, with Takao Omori pinning Kobashi just before this match, my best course of action is to make it a FATAL 4 WAY FOR THE TRIPLE CROWN FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!"
With the bombshell of an announcement Stan walks out to end the first day of the Dynamite Series!

State of the Diary October 17th, 2022
So, first time doing a state of the diary type post. This post is perhaps going to be the most important in terms of updates in an incredibly long time. So let's get straight into my overall thoughts, changes, and problems I have with this Diary. So in terms of wrestling, wrestlers, storylines, and ratings, I think everything is pretty realistic. Morale in AJPW right now is good, so no we won't be changing into NOAH 2000 anytime soon. I think the popularity of the wrestlers is incredible and I love all the different changes I've made to AJPW to make it unique. However there are a few problems I have that I will address now. The Broadcasting annoys me because of how horribly unrealistic it is. I know it's a small thing to most but when I see that 14 Million People tune into Day 4 of the AJPW Super Power Series it personally takes me out of the save a bit. It's not that I don't want AJPW to be accessible or to be watched by multiple people but it's unrealistic. So to counteract this, I will be cleaning up older post and probably removing those ratings and going forward here's what will happen. AJPW will have a weekly show on Nippon TV (which it had for years at this point in real life) and they will show tour highlights for that week. I will give little updates to those shows and their TV ratings while posting what matches are shown on them. This will NOT distract from the main tour shows, as you will still gets to read them in full, this is just for immersion. Also after much consideration, after 2 years since the game came out and 2 years since this Diary started. AJPW 1999 will FINALLY be moving to TEW2020. So if you notice a change in ratings, that will explain it. Oh also in the next few days I will be updating certain factions brands and looks as I find them to be outdated to my current skill set. Also I will be updating the roster list and other small things to clean up the presentation for new viewers or returning ones. So if you want a TL:DR version of this here's the rundown • AJPW will have a weekly TV show to show tour highlights for more realistic TV ratings • We're moving to TEW2020 • Factions and Certain Photos are getting a rebrand. Also yes this does explain why I haven't posted a show in 2 weeks, a lot of testing, fixing up the save in TEW2020 and overall checking to see if I'd enjoy it there led to this bit of a delay. Once again thanks for all the support and I will soon post the card to the next show incredibly soon.
